The Grafton Inn was the perfect venue for our wedding, and I could not recommend them highly enough to anyone looking for a seamless, organized, quintessential Vermont wedding. Olivia and Angela make an incredible team and it was enjoyable working with them throughout the entire process. The venue is incredibly unique with lots of different choices for where to host each event, making it very customizable. The food is amazing, and all of the staff are so kind and helpful. We got so many comments that this was the best wedding anyone ever went to. Thank you so much to the grafton inn for making our day so special! Reviewed on 27-10-2023

I'm posting this on behalf of my mother but could not agree more! We loved our Grafton Inn wedding. If youâre seeking a quaint, classy, charming, quintessential Vermont wedding venue, save yourself a whole lot of time and book the Grafton Inn. You truly will not regret it. We had thepleasure of hosting our daughter and son-in-lawâs August 2022 wedding at the Grafton Inn and could not have been happier. The food was delicious, the small-town locale was simply charming, and the accommodations were absolutely fabulous. The inn offers something for everyoneâfrom strolling through the picturesque town, sampling Grafton cheese, biking thelocal trails, visiting the general store, or simply sitting on the innâs sweeping porch and taking in the beauty of its setting. What makes a Grafton Inn wedding so unique is that your guests have the luxury and freedom of movementâseparate and distinct locales for each of your wedding events. Olivia Johnson, the Innâs Wedding Coordinator, is extremely organized, responsive, experienced, and a pleasure to work with. If we could do it all over again, we would! It was a beautiful, memorable wedding weekend. Reviewed on 01-05-2023
Michelle Sullivan(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 25-09-2020 I am very late in writing this review but it was just so amazing. My husband and I could not recommend this venue enough. The location was perfect and ideal for a fall, New England wedding. We got married September 25, 2020 and the weather was more than we could have asked for. Al most peak foliage and in the 70s for temperature. All of our guests stayed at the inn and had nothing but great things to say about the rooms and breakfast in the morning. The town itself was so adorable and had everything we needed within walking distance, like a general store with delicious sandwiches, coffee, beer, wine, and snacks. The town hall was across the street from the inn so we were able to get our marriage license the day before the wedding which was so convenient. We were married by the pond and had our cocktail hour on the White Gate House patio, and reception under a tent at the house as well. Even though we had a COVID wedding and had to size down significantly, people still tell us that our wedding was the best they had ever attended because of the Grafton staff and amazing feel of the town. We were never able to have a food tasting for our wedding because of Covid which was really sad but the food was beyond expectations day of the wedding. Olivia, our wedding planner at the grafton inn, was unbelievable. She went above and beyond, and was extremely responsive. She was a server at our rehearsal dinner and helped mc at the reception. Fast pony flowers was provided by the inn and she made my floral dreams come true!! The innkeeper, Angela, was also amazing and responsive. Everyone was just so helpful the whole way through! We canât say enough good things about the Grafton Inn and canât wait to spend more family vacations and anniversaries there! Reviewed on 08-12-2022
Victoria Nadow(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 07-05-2022 The people: Olivia and Angela really know what they're doing here with weddings at the Grafton Inn. They are true professionals in the industry and more importantly to us, genuine, caring, and honest people. They were incredibly easy-going and flexible over the last 2 years of planning, replanning...scheduling, rescheduling...when the big weekend finally arrived, everything went off without a hitch. They were there every step of the way kindly keeping us on schedule, making sure we didn't miss any important cues. They don't skimp on any of the details and listened to everything we had to say. They made an event that requires a lot of coordinating, planning, and preparation feel very easy in the moment (though we appreciate very much how hard they were working for us the entire weekend). They were everywhere at once, it felt like on the actual wedding day. I could go on for page after page. We really cannot speak highly enough of them and their team in Grafton. If you and yours decide that this location is the place for you, take comfort in knowing that you are going to be well taken care of. The Inn: Quintessential, preserved historic Inn in a humble and honest old Vermont town with everything you could ask for. Charming, well taken care of historic buildings. Comfy and homey, but on a grand, exquisite scale (you feel pampered, spoiled, and taken care of while you are here). The Inn, surrounding Inn houses, and town in general is just a beautiful place to spend any amount of time. Ripe for picture taking and relaxing in just about any light. Waking up to the sounds of the nearby woods and river is the perfect way to start your day and enjoy a peaceful cup of coffee. The local general store has literally a little bit of anything you could need. They are continuously investing in preserving and upgrading the property and buildings, and it shows. The love for the place is palpable, and cheer and happiness is in abundance. We cannot wait to go back. The Wedding: The Grafton Inn was the perfect spot for our perfect Vermont wedding. We were fortunate enough to have 3 days of absolutely perfect weather in early May. The Grafton Outdoor center provided plenty of opportunity to get away for some activities during wedding related downtime and was a perfect spot for hosting a \"day before\" group gathering for some drinks, music, sâmores, and bonfire! A lot of guests commented on how unique, fun, and intimate of an experience it was to have that as part of the weekend. It especially gave us a lot more free time to mingle and reminisce at length with a lot of our guests. The Inn itself was the perfect venue for us. They have multiple outdoor ceremony locations (and the coordinators, Olivia and Angela, are flexible on the setup at each of these), and there are also some well-appointed bad weather indoor backup locations in town. Multitude of perfect picture taking locations are all within a short walk or 5 minute drive or less from the Inn itself too, which was a bonus. We really can't think of much more you could ask for in a wedding venue and team behind the scenes. The Grafton Inn is a beautiful, historic place that doubles as the perfect all-inclusive wedding venue, with an absolute rockstar staff line-up to back it all up. Grafton is now and will be for us for the rest of our days, a truly special, and magical place. Get married here. You will not regret it. <3 Reviewed on 18-05-2022

Kirstin French-Kray(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 19-10-2019 Olivia and Angela - and the entire team at the Grafton Inn were such a dream to work with! Throughout the planning of our wedding, I thought - several times - that they couldn't possibly do all of the things that they were saying they would...during our wedding weekend, I was thrilled to see that they really did...and so much more! We had a blast! From our first walk-through, during the tasting, and for the entirety of the weekend itself - we had so much fun, and no reason to stress. We loved that the full weekend, from Friday bonfire through Sunday brunch, felt like one big family reunion. The bulk of our guests were traveling from out of town and it was a priority for us that they felt like the trip was worth it - we have no doubt that they did. The Grafton team took great care of us. We had only 6 months to plan our wedding, and we were never made to feel rushed or overwhelmed by the process - I credit this largely to Olivia and Angela. Olivia had tons of good advice and insights to share when asked, but wasn't ever pushy. Now, afterwards, we love returning to the Inn - it feels like we are part of their family. Shauna Meisinger(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 03-08-2019 The Grafton Inn was truly the most idyllic and beautiful setting for my husband and I's wedding weekend this past August. I'm going to the echo the sentiments of most of the other reviews here but our guests cannot stop raving about our wedding and we have heard many say it was the best wedding they have ever been to. The venue is so charming and unlike any other my husband and I had looked at when scouting locations. The village and the Inn are quintessential Vermont and New England - like something out of a Hallmark movie or from a postcard - and we truly loved that we were able to make Grafton ours for the weekend. Our guests were able to park their cars for the weekend and just relax and enjoy all that Grafton has to offer. In addition to the wedding, we also held a Welcome BBQ by the swimming pond the night before. The food and service throughout the entire weekend was top-notch. From the ribs at the BBQ to the filet at the reception to the country breakfast each morning - everything was delicious. The entire staff was truly amazing - they treated us and our guests like family and worked tirelessly to make sure our wedding wedding was perfect. Olivia, Angela, Kirk, and Shawn were also wonderful to work with in executing an amazing experience for us and our guests. I honestly could go on and on about how much we loved our wedding and the Inn. It was a dream venue that we are so happy we booked and will always hold a very special place in our hearts! Elsa Di Ruggiero(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 21-09-2019 If you're looking to get married in Vermont, look no further! My husband and I knew we were looking for a \"one stop shop\" because we live in New York City and would be doing a lot of our planning from a distance. The staff at the Grafton Inn was so responsive and helpful in the months leading up to our big day and it became immediately apparent that we could trust them with every detail. The Inn and grounds are truly perfect. We loved that guests could park their car for the weekend and never need it. There is so much to see and do in Grafton and we were so happy that our guests could come for the weekend and really unplug and enjoy! Everyone continued to tell us that entering Grafton was like driving into a postcard and that the Inn is charming, quaint and elegant all at the same time - exactly what we were going for! Olivia, Angela, Emily and the rest of the Grafton staff were always available throughout the weekend without being obtrusive. They coordinated everything with our other vendors seamlessly, were so kind and helpful to our guests, and also very flexible. The food was amazing and each of the wedding sites we used (Swimming Pond, Courtyard, Tavern dining rooms, Phelps Barn) were unique and special. Guests loved moving throughout the various areas knowing they could always run back to their rooms if they needed anything. My only disappointment is that we can't do it all over again! However, we know we will be back for years to come and know our guests will be doing the same. The Grafton Inn is everyone's new favorite destination in Vermont. Thank you to everyone who made this experience an unforgettable one! Reviewed on 29-09-2019
Carrie Brown(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 18-05-2019 Thursday, June 27, 20193:34 PMI can't even describe how incredible this venue is... First of all, EVERY SINGLE GUEST cannot stop complimenting our wedding. We had tons of people write \"best wedding we've ever been to\" in our guest book. We were looking for a small / mid-sized wedding (~80 people), where guests could make a weekend excursion out of the trip (if they wanted to), and they could simply show up, park, and not have to 'travel' anywhere between rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception, and their guest rooms. If you have a wedding at The Grafton Inn, you basically take over downtown Grafton for your wedding weekend (the Inn is part of a historical society that owns much of the downtown properties) - guests stay both at the Grafton Inn, and in small historic houses all down the street. Everyone is in walking distance of each other. We did a 'Welcome Bonfire' Friday night with smores by the lake with beer and wine served under string lights, an outdoor ceremony on Saturday, and a \"Farewell Breakfast\" (which is already included for any guests staying at the inn) on Sunday to wrap up the weekend. THE FOOD... oh my gosh. I've never heard so many sincere compliments from guests in my life. Everyone raved, especially about the appetizers, the lobster, the desserts, and the late night designer pizza we opted to include. My husband and I sincerely had the weekend of our lives, and we didn't have to stress a single moment of it due to the staff at Grafton. We could sincerely just enjoy and celebrate with our closest friends and family. ****MOST important part of our experience with Grafton, was our partnership with Olivia and Angela. Olivia was our wedding coordinator at Grafton and she sincerely acted like a wedding planner for me. Any questions I had, recommendations, she helped with everything and was extremely responsive. The entire staff was so nice during our wedding weekend... we even had guests compliment the staff itself. Do yourself a favor, go visit the property, and you'll immediately be able to picture how the wedding of your dreams can come together. Reviewed on 27-06-2019
Kristin Kent(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 02-03-2019 Words cannot express how my now husband and I feel about the Grafton Inn. This Inn and the town are forever near and dear to our hearts. We choose the Grafton Inn for our Winter Wonderland destination wedding. Originally, we decided to look at Grafton as a possible venue location simply because they were dog friendly and we wished to have our 4 Cavalier King Charles Spaniels in our wedding. But then we fell in love with this Inn the first moment we saw it.You CANNOT fully appreciate this venue without visiting it. One of my husbandâs groomsmen said it best - he said âyou guys rented a small town for your weddingâ. At Grafton your guests can stay on site and enjoy a full wedding weekend. We choose to welcome our guests to our Winter Wonderland with a bon fire at Grafton Trails. In the morning our guests enjoyed eating breakfast together in the garden room. This setting allowed for everyone to socialize and get to know one another prior to the wedding festivities. The take away from our family and friends was that our wedding at the Grafton Inn was âmagical and one of a kindâ. Many said they canât wait to plan another trip to enjoy and explore more of the area. The staff at Grafton is top knotch. They are always friendly and smiling and eager to help you enjoy your day. The food is delicious and expertly prepared. Often at weddings you can find that quality diminishes when the chef must cook in larger quantities. This was not the case for Chef Cal and his team. Everyone raved about the quality of the food and many asked where they could purchase the steaks.Olivia the wedding coordinator is there for you every step of the way. I am a tad OCD about planning but she was always there to answer each silly question. My husband, myself and our parents are forever thankful that we choose Grafton for our wedding. We now have a special place to visit for family vacations. We can already see ourselves going back year after year and canât wait to return with our future children who we hope will also grow to love this inn and this town as much as we now do. Mary Grimm(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 08-09-2018 The Grafton Inn - the location, their staff, and their service, is absolutely impeccable. If we had to do it all over again then we would do everything the same. Olivia and Angela are wonderful. They are so very helpful from the details to the pricing, to coming up with different ideas. They also will refer wonderful vendors. The location and amenities could not be better - it is a historic but very well kept Inn. There are traditional rooms and then houses that are linked to the Inn. We had a total of 138 people and 100 of those guests slept at the Inn with the remainder in Air B and B's in the area. They will even help you find those! The food is delicious as well. We utilized Grafton Trails to have a Welcome Dinner the night before and then got married in the Community Garden. But they help you get everything setup with the church if you need it for a rain back up. Let me say - if you are looking for a quaint wedding with impeccable service then look no further. Olivia, Angela, Steven, Kirk, and the rest of the staff are stellar and the location can't be beat. Reviewed on 11-09-2018
Nat Schils(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 30-06-2018 I cannot say enough good things about The Grafton Inn. The beautiful venue was simply perfect and I'll cherish memories of our weekend at Grafton FOREVER!!! We selected Grafton because it allowed us to bring together all of our friends and family to one location and maximize the celebration - we played kickball, went on a hike, swam at the pond, biked, rented canoes, etc. Everyone has been raving about the location for the past month. Walking down the hill to our site by the swimming hole is one of the best moments of my life :). The team at Grafton were also incredible - over the course of 18 months of planning, Olivia promptly responded to every single email. She allowed so many little changes along the way and did everything to make the day and weekend move so smoothly. The rest of the staff were incredible as well, making all of us feel so special. We had a big dinner at one of the houses on Thursday and they brought over a grill and 20 chairs (as just one example of them going above and beyond). Plus, the food (mac and cheese!!!) and the beautiful barn for dancing and it's pet friendly. You will not regret picking this incredible venue!! Reviewed on 27-07-2018
Rob Hargraves(groom)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 09-12-2017 We had the perfect wedding at the Grafton Inn. Our family, from the Philadelphia area, are longtime patrons of the Inn so it was only natural for us to consider it to be the venue for our 3-day event. When we approached them about hosting our same-sex wedding they were thrilled to have the opportunity. The Wedding PlannerâOliviaâ is professional, helpful, prompt and communicates everything very clearly. Most importantly, she is fun to work with! The InnkeeperâAngela; the Assistant InnkeeperâSteven....and ALL of the Grafton Inn staff were welcoming, warm, friendly and were so accommodating and so invested in our event that they were more like longtime friends. All of our guests commented over and over again how magical our wedding was, how beautiful the venue was, how terrific the Innâs Staff was and how fabulous the food was! They were even able to wave their magic wands and have snow fall just as our ceremony began! Many of our friends have told us that they are planning to return to the Inn for their own vacations. Ours was not just a wedding. It was a 3-day event where basically the entire town of Grafton was the venue. Our friends and family would stroll the streets and would bump into one another in the Mercantile or the Post Office or the General Store and would have the opportunity to chat and get to know each other. All elements of our wedding went off without a hitch and we couldnât be more thrilled with the outcome of our celebration. The icing on the cake (no pun intended) was when we were told that as our last song played out and our guests formed a circle of linked arms and sang along, the Grafton Inn Team stood at the top of the steps in Phelpâs Barn and shed joyful tears at our happiness. Choose the Grafton Inn for your wedding. It will be perfect.Sincerely,Rob and Jeff~ Reviewed on 02-01-2018

So many of guests commented on how much they loved the property and the staff and that they planned to return on their own! Olivia and Angela, the wedding coordinator and inn keeper, were with us every step of the way, helping us plan and answering all of our questions. They were both so willing to help us make our wedding special and went out of their way to find vendors that would not only fit our budget, but also gave us the wedding we had always dreamed about. kate mason(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 05-11-2011 My husband and I were married here at the beginning of the month. We had attended a wedding here last year, and loved the intimate feel of the Inn and so decided to book our wedding here too. The fact that our relatives (who had never met each other) could come for the whole weekend and have time to get to know each other made it that much more appealing. Having people coming from far and wide, we also wanted to be able to visit with them all weekend, as opposed to the typical wedding where you just see each other for about 5 hours at the reception and then go home again. We had enough guests that we were able to book all of the rooms, which definitely helped to increase the feeling of camaraderie and closeness. \r\rWe had a short engagement, but the planning of the wedding did not suffer as a result of this- Kathy and John and their team were extremely organized and they made it a completely stress-free planning process and weekend for us. Most brides say that their wedding was a blur and they don't remember most of it, but I had quite the opposite experience- I trusted that the team at the Inn knew how to take care of the details, and I was able to savor every moment of the weekend. From providing towels for a Polar Bear Plunge in the swimming hole, to setting up suite 1 to accommodate my elderly wheelchair-dependent father, the staff was very flexible and kind. There was no request or detail too big or too small for them to tackle. I have also had many of our guests tell me that it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding (the rack of lamb was phenominal). \r\rAnother feature of the Inn that I really liked was that we were married in the church across the street, so nobody had to struggle to find the church and then the reception site afterward- they were all right there. Also, because the Inn and the White Church are so pretty at baseline, I did not have to do anything terms of decorating, though you could if you wanted to. I just appreciated not HAVING to do the extra work of being super creative. I cannot recommend the Grafton Inn highly enough- we will truly remember our wedding weekend as a highlight of our lives, and many of our guests have reported that it was (direct quote) \"the best wedding ever!!\"\r Reviewed on 28-11-2011
