Our experience with The Grand Ballroom was absolutely fabulous! I do not have a negative word to say about it! Tessie, the event director, was fantastic. Prompt with replies, professional, kind, and so helpful and attentive. I could not imagine our big day without her or without McHale’s. The staff that served on our wedding was so kind, always making sure we were well taken care of. All of our family and friends had a blast and loved the venue. I would recommend them to all!!!

Would recommend this venue for any wedding! Extremely affordable and our event planner made things so easy for us. The two levels created a really cool look and feel for us. It also provided some really cool photo ops. Everything went according to plan on our special day and a lot of that was thanks to the service provided by McHale’s staff!

Tessie was amazing to work with during the planning process. Aaron and Tiffany during our wedding went above and beyond to make sure Martin and I had the best wedding experience. I would choose this team over and over again. The Grand Ballroom was beautiful. All our guests have raved about how great the food and service was.

Tessie and the Grand Ballroom absolutely blew us away. From the professionalism in our first meeting, to the follow through and execution of a perfect reception, the McHales's team at the Grand Ballroom checked all of the boxes. We highly recommend their seated meals, as their staff are well trained at taking care of the serving quickly, and really utilize their open door policy to test your decor and see what works and what doesn't. We were so pleased with everything from McHale's.

The wedding process is not always the easiest, but Tessie and her team from the very beginning made it so much easier for us! The communication goes off was top notch and our wedding was just perfect and as seamless as can be. I as a bride had a vision and rented some items- told them what I was thinking- and they put it all together for me just as I was envisioning!! The service at the wedding was also amazing too, food of course wonderful, and the Grand as a venue alone is just beautiful. I highly recommend this venue and this team for your wedding and event. I had my wedding at the Grand Ballroom on November 11th, 2022. Let me start by saying the space itself is absolutely GORGEOUS! It's set up perfectly to have both your ceremony and reception as they have a balcony area for cocktail hour while they flip the room for the reception. We also did food through McHales, and it was FANTASTIC! All my guests were accommodated for and the buffet was set up in a way that made getting a plate a breeze. My event planner was Tessie and she was amazing. During the planning, she was able to help put me at ease with her expertise. She always responded back promptly to any issue, question, or concern I had. For the rehearsal and day of needs, Aaron was my go to. He was very supportive and helped with any questions or needs we had. I would absolutely recommend the Grand for anyone who is planning their wedding!

My daughter had her wedding at McHale's Grand Ballroom in Covington. The wedding was absolutely perfect. The hall is beautiful, the food was delicious and staff at The Grand couldn't have been better. My husband commented that McHales must be pretty confident when they served filet mignon with a butter knife. The butter knife was appropriate, it was tender and delicious. Aaron the banquet manager took care of every detail and was delightful to work with. I can't thank McHales enough, it was a perfect evening.

I was SO impressed and thrilled with our wedding reception at The Grand! McHales is amazing - Lindsay was our event manager and she was fantastic! So quick to respond to any questions and always helpful with any special needs we had. She was professional and helped us make sure all of the details were taken care of. The day of staff was AMAZING, they were so attentive and made sure that all of our needs were being met the entire evening! Shoutout to the banquet managers - simply stated they were second to none! There wasn’t one thing I was worried about all evening upon arriving at McHales because they were so on it! Also, the food was fantastic!!! While planning a wedding during a pandemic is not ideal, the entire McHales staff helped us greatly to pull off the perfect, safe but fun event! When reflecting on our wedding night there was not a detail missed. One thing that stuck out to me the most was how delicious the food was! We had the steak and tilapia, it was amazing and I am a pretty picky eater. Everyone had such a good time and the venue looks beautiful in person and in photos. The fact that they set up and break down the wedding for you is truly priceless! Hurry and book with McHales because it is a steal!! I would recommend booking them to anyone getting married in the greater Cinci area :)

Everyone went out of their way to make this wedding very special. We were treated like royalty and felt very pampered throughout the planning, preparation and the day of the event. You simply can do no better than this beautiful venue. Our families and friends raved about it. I've said it a million times and I'll say it again... we loved the Grand Ballroom! The venue was so beautiful. The staff are incredibly accommodating and communication with them was a breeze. The prices are incredibly reasonable and you won't be surprised by any add-on fees (because most of what you need is already included... ie. tables, linens, table numbers, even table mirrors to go under your centerpieces if you want them!). So far my mom's side of the family has had THREE weddings at the Grand Ballroom... it's an incredible venue that I'll forever tell everyone about.

Absolutely the best Wedding venue imaginable!For starters the facility is amazing. Absolutely beautiful and incredibly maintained. Like something from a movie.Then there's Jeremy and the staff. If ten stars was an option I'd give them all ten. Perfect from start to finish. Excellent to work with for planning ahead of time and 150% professional and courteous throughout the duration. Everything was perfect!I could write a novel here with all of the good things that happened and still not justify it. I cannot recommend The Grand Banquet Hall enough!

McHale's Grand Ballroom was AMAZING! When looking for wedding reception venues, my husband and I wanted someplace affordable, with a big dance floor, windows, and with catering included - The Grand marked all of those boxes and then many more. We worked with Jen from start to finish, and she was so incredibly helpful - she was always available to answer my many questions - and she made the process seamless and also fun for us. They took care of everything - set-up, tear-down, catering the cocktail hour and dinner, manning the bars, even setting up our decorations. The place looked absolutely gorgeous. My parents, my husband's parents, and my bridal party never once had to go to the buffet line or to the bar - someone was always taking care of us - we felt like royalty! The food was delicious!! We found that having the 5th hour included was rare, but SO nice! By the time you get through cocktail hour and speeches, you'll want that 5th hour to keep dancing with all of your closest family and friends! Having the cocktail hour upstairs added extra fun and elegance to the event - everyone loved mingling upstairs and it felt like two different locations and events! I can't say enough good things about our experience with The Grand, and I can't even imagine having our wedding anywhere else. The location, the staff (especially Jen and our night-of coordinators!), the venue, having everything included - it was all absolutely perfect and we couldn't be happier!

If you are looking for a venue in Northern Kentucky this is definitely the place! From the staff, the food, and the cake; everything about The Grand was amazing! Jen the event coordinator was on top of everything. She answered any questions that we had and always got back very quickly. She made the whole process of planning a reception stress free and so easy. The set up of our reception was done perfectly, and they made sure that us and our guests were always taken care of. We used The Grand for our Rehearsal Dinner, Wedding Ceremony, and Wedding Reception. Our experience couldn't have been any better! We had our wedding at The Grand and could not be happier with everything. First off, the space is absolutely beautiful.From the very start Jen was amazing. She is very knowledgable and helpful - she was very quick to respond to all of our emails. She also helped guide us when it came time to make decisions. And we love that she helped to coordinate with our vendors so that we didn't need to.We brought in a lot of our own decor, and loved that we didn't need to worry about setting up or breaking down. All that was required was that we drop it off with detailed instructions. The staff set everything up perfectly, and then they took it all down for us and packed it up. We had our ceremony here too and the staff was quick and efficient when it came time to change the room over for the reception. Jeremy and Kelsey definitely helped make all of this go smoothly from drop off all the way to pick up.The bar package was incredible. It was one of the reasons we ended up picking this venue. And the food was so delicious! I had a lot of friends comment on how good it was. And personally, I couldn't get enough of the vegetable rotini!The staff on the day of was wonderful. They were all smiles and were so kind! We were surprised and so happy with how attentive everyone was with the two of us, our parents, and our bridal party. We never had an empty glass and during dinner they made sure we had everything we needed. Jeremy even ran to the bar to get us drinks while we were down in the lobby (we had been taking photos outside) and our guests were moving from cocktail hour to reception.

We had our ceremony and reception both in March 2018 at the Grand. Planning was fluid with minimal stress until the moment we walked out of the reception. The customer service was on par and the facilities were welcoming and clean. The wedding planners, Brent and Jenn, that we worked with were awesome! They were detailed, patient and professional. The banquet manager and staff were also professional and extremely friendly. As the couple, we didn't have to think about being thirsty or hungry with all the staff being 3 steps ahead. Several guests also complimented how great the staff was. Would definitely recommend the Grand and McHale's for those looking for larger event venues!

My husband and I have very large families, so our venue options were limited in the greater Cincinnati area in order to fit our entire guest count. If I had to do it all over again, small wedding or large wedding, I would choose The Grand every single time. We had so many family members and friends compliment the staff, food and the beautiful venue, they truly helped make it the best day of my life. Planning with Brent throughout our engagement was so easy, thorough and complete, that it lead to a very stress free wedding day. The fact that they do all of the set up for you, was a huge selling point for me, because as a bride you do not need one more thing to worry about day of or wedding weekend. Their customizable packages allow the day to be reasonably priced based on the individual couples budget while still maintaining that first class feel no matter the room or package you select. The Grand went above and beyond in accommodating myself, my husband and our guests. Everything from making sure that we always had a full drink in our hands, to helping me make my plate in the buffet line so I didn't spill on my dress, to giving us a to-go box to take back to the hotel of a complete dinner, because they know that the bride and groom never eat enough. I can not say enough great things about The Grand and will continue to recommend them to everyone!

We had our reception at The Grand and it was my favorite vendor to work with. If you haven't seen it in person, you must because it is a beautiful venue. Brent assisted us throughout the planning process and made everything so easy and stress-free! She was always so calm, never pressured us or never rushed us. We had Bobby as our week of and night of coordinator and he went above and beyond to make everything perfect. The McHale's staff were very accommodating throughout the night. When the bridal party arrived and were waiting downstairs until our grand entrance, they brought us hors devours, took our drink order and brought us drinks. For dinner, we went with the 5-Star seated dinner -strawberry fields salad, filet, salmon, potato rosette, asparagus - AMAZING! It was so delicious and appetizing to look at that we received a lot of compliments. They also made delicious gluten free and vegetarian meals for those who needed it. I highly recommend having your reception at The Grand! All the details are perfect from the accommodating staff, a free parking garage across the street, champagne toast for the bridal party and parents tables, and set up and tear down of decor included.

Absolutely wonderful! \r\rEric and I had our wedding reception at The Grand, May 2015. EVERYONE on staff was incredible and easy to work with, as well as, extremely attentive. My husband and I live out of state, so I was initially nervous about planning a wedding so far away. The staff at The Grand could not have been more accommodating. \r\rOur best friend and groomsman is also a pastry chef, so he created our wedding cake. Well, he too does not live in KY, so the staff at The Grand made sure there was room in the walk-in freezer for Andy's cake and allowed him to drop it off a few days prior to the wedding. ...this is just ONE example of how accommodating everyone was.\r\rOn the day of our wedding, Eric and I were treated like royalty. We may have been seated in our places for oh, about 5 SECONDS, when Bobby came to greet us with a \"Congratulations!\" and served us our first drinks. My husband turned to me and said \"Wow! Overall great food and great service! I do think the price was a little high and I had the off season package! And everything you wanted to add cost so much extra. But other than that the food was delicious and the people were super nice!

The staff at McHale's, specifically The Grand, where we held our ceremony and reception was absolutely outstanding. They literally went above and beyond to accommodate our guests in every which way. It was a tad more expensive than we were hoping since we paid for the wedding ourselves, but WOW, you get what you pay for, and I have no regrets! The venue itself is gorgeous and in no way \"cookie cutter.\" If you're looking for a very classic, elegant place for your wedding, seriously look no further. You'll know it when you walk through the doors!

When I first decided on The Grand I had several reservations. I was very nervous about the idea of having guest separated by floor. We were going to have over 300 guest and we knew we would have to have 10 table upstairs. However it ended up being the absolute best thing! I was nervous they would feel out of the loop but people all stood up and looked over while everything was going on (enterances, speeches, 1st dances etc.)\rWe also decided to do dinner before we got there because we wanted the party to start sooner. I was nervous it would not all go to plan but everything worked out perfectly. Our guests said it was great. They liked getting that out of the way. \rThe service was beyond my wildest dreams. They were excellent. My sister ended up getting sick right before we got there and they took her to the bridal suite and made sure she was taken care of. Our guests said that the bar service was awesome. They would know have your drink ready for you before you even got up to the bar. \rAt the end of the night they packed up EVERYTHING! It was amazing. They had all our gifts, cards, and etc all waiting in the office. They also set up a time for us to come get everything else in the next week.\rI would highly recommend The Grand and I hope that people that I know get married there so I can enjoy it all over again :)

We loved having our reception at The Grand! The setup was wonderful, the staff fantastic and everything went perfect. The entire process with the Grand was very smooth and they are great to work with. It was through McHales Catering as well who were amazing!

They were so great to work with. We use the downstairs for our ceremony and upstairs for the reception. We took all the decorations to them and they sat them up. Food= awesome! But Phyllis the head server took really really good care of us from making sure that we (bride and groom) got food there and for our hotel to safety pinning my dress since the hem came out. The planning staff was amazing and easy to get in contact with. I was planning my wedding from 2 hours away at college. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

The sales manager we worked with before our wedding always answered questions in a timely manner and was always able to reassure us that anything we wanted to do would be executed - and it was beautifully! My husband and I fell in love with The Grand at first site!!! I loved how it had the balcony. I always dreamed when I was a little girl to throw my bouquet off a balcony. The service was outstanding!!! We loved Megan!!! Everyone that worked there were so helpful leading up to the wedding and expecially our wedding day!! They made sure my husband I and were always taken care of!!! We are so happy that we chose to have our reception here!!! We have some wonderful memories!!! We also thought the food was amazing!!!

This place is amazing! I delt with Megan the whole time and I fell in love with this place the minute i saw it!I was in touch with megan A LOT the week of the wedding and she helped/figured everything out for me so i didn't have to worry about anything! Everything was awesome from the minute we showed up the night of! The pen we brought for our signing board wasn't working, but the staff found another one and it worked great and lookes great now! The food was great at well! The tasting was the best we were to! You get to try the entire menu and not a select portion like another tasting we went to! I would gladly recommend this venue to anyone! I loved it! They were even able to work with the price!

We attended another event there and it was great! \r\rWorking with the Grand was a great experience. Our wedding coordinator, Cassie, was so easy to work with and so accommodating to all of our requests. She worked with all of my vendors so I didn't have to worry about anythig the week of! I have been recommending the McHale's group venues to anyone I come across who is planning a wedding. They are a joy to work with. They answer your emails instantly. I don't even know if there were any problems at our reception because they took care of everyting.

The staff at the Grand (especially the two event coordinators on the night of the wedding) were very attentive to us, checking in to make sure everything was going fine, bringing us water, etc. The planning before the wedding was fairly organized, and they really let us customize the facility setup to accomodate a 16-piece live big band, projection of videos on a big screen, and tables off the dance floor. The wedding was fabulously elegant, with chandeliers, a balcony that became a fun place for friends to gather to watch the dancing, and of course- the reason we chose The Grand- a wood dance floor! My husband and I, and both of our parents were very pleased with the care we got and the fabulous celebration we were able to host. Many of our friends said it was \"the best wedding I've ever been to\".

Meet the The Grand Ballroom by McHale's Events and Catering Team
(859) 392-8264Tessie started working in the catering business 11 years ago. She spent 8 years with a very well-known caterer in the Greater Cincinnati area as a Sous Chef. During that time, she earned a culinary degree and later went on to earn her bachelor’s degree from Northern Kentucky University. Tessie then joined McHale’s as the Hall Manager of the Grand and Pinnacle Ballrooms, executing flawless events every weekend and was soon promoted to event planner. Tessie knows weddings and events inside and out and she is happy to help you plan your special occasion!
