I cannot speak highly enough of the Grands! They were a dream to work with and come wedding day, it was a smooth day because of the professionalism of the staff and the communication! This venue is gorgeous and the best to work with - you won’t regret it!!

My husband and I wanted a venue that reminded us of an “up north and elegant” feel without having our guests have to travel too far. The Grands met all of our expectations and more!! Our day was absolutely spectacular and magical! Mel was wonderful to work with and answered all of our event planning questions! Larry listened to us and respected our wants and needs for our music experience! The food was AMAZING and everyone was served within 10-15 minutes. I recommend The Grands to anyone who is looking for an “up north and elegant” wedding with staff and coordinators who truly care about making your day the day of your dreams!

We absolutely loved having out wedding here at the Grands. We first met with Joe, who was super kind and was able to answer all of our initial questions! We knew right away this would be our venue! Then we had a lot of communication with Mel, who was always available and willing to answer any and all planning questions I had. She responded quickly and gave me tips, examples, and advice on just about everything! The day of overall went super smooth! We were missing one display table but the crew there very quickly brought out the correct table right away in the morning. The crew there were there for every step throughout the day and giving us reassurance on the rain! I do feel like the clearing of plates was a little fast, but I had asked to start the dance early if possible! Our DJ ended up changing, but in the end we loved our DJ. We would 100% choose The Grands again!

All the staff are super enthused for you and your partner and your GRAND day. The bridal suite is cute and amazing. Love the option of two different themes in the same building. My most favorite thing is the day of coordinator. She made the whole ceremony go swimmingly. If I were to do it again, I would 100% book this place. I am already telling newly engaged couples to take a look. Oh, and their food is wonderful. We got so many compliments the night of and many weeks after how delicious the food is. Everyone was helpful, everyone knew exactly what their role in our day was, their wedding portal is easy to use & it’s just a beautiful venue.. the food was also fantastic - we are still getting compliments on it two weeks later and people telling us they hope they have more weddings there just so they can eat

We picked the Grands at Mulligans because of the affordability and all of the amazing options they have in one building. They have the space, tables, chairs, catering, center piece options, ceiling and table draping, shuttle at the end of the night, and DJ all through them. They also have a small staff so we got to know everyone and was not worried about things day of. We were assigned a day of coordinator and she did an amazing job! We were really happy with all of our options for decorations and not having to break the bank to have a beautiful wedding venue. Also, we had an April wedding and they were very quick to communicate when it was decided our ceremony would have to be inside instead of outside like I wanted. They were texting me a few days before about the changes in decoration and made sure everything was up that we added last minute. They are an amazing venue and can't be beat in central MN.

We absolutely loved our wedding at Grands at Mulligans. We were able to plan a wedding in 6-7 months because they made it extremely easy and a lot less stressful. The food was amazing, DJ was awesome. Everyone was professional, listened to our wants and needs and wanted us to have the best day. Everything was surprisingly smooth starting with the tour, arrangements and the day of the wedding. We can't thank the Grands enough for our beautiful wedding.

The day went off without a hitch - other than the weather (LOL) but truly everything was absolutely beautiful, the food was great, the DJ was spectacular and the bar service was top notch! During the planning process Mel was also very responsive to my email questions - don't be afraid to ask! Sometimes I felt like I shouldn't send anything but you are planning a wedding - there are things you need to know, so ask! She was always happy to help! The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that they give you a day of coordinator - which truly is great, they keep your timeline on schedule, fluff your dress before you walk down the aisle, all the things! But, I didn't get to talk with or meet the coordinator until noon the day of my wedding. Hair and Make up was wrapping up and my photographer had just arrived so it was a hectic moment when we met, and since we hadn't spoken ahead of time I had no idea what I could expect from her. I had my aunts come early to light candles and turn on fairy lights as well as set up cupcakes. All of these things are things my coordinator took care of, but since we hadn't spoken before I truly didn't know what I could expect from that position so I think it would be beneficial to at least have a quick phone call with your coordinator like the week leading up to the wedding. Truly though an (almost) 1 stop shop for your wedding in all the best ways! It is so nice to have so many vendors IN HOUSE and relieves so much stress while planning! If I could do anything over again differently, it would just be the weather! PS -- I did a full building rental -- if you can make your guest list work to have the ceremony on the ballroom and party in the lodge - DO IT! The lodge is ALL THE RIGHT VIBES!

The staff there was amazing!! The bridal anxiety was high for me and they were so chill and wanted to help where they could. Not once did I feel like like I was annoying them. They saved us a plate of appetizers that were served when we weren't there. That was unexpected and welcomed. One thing I would like to see changed, food tasting. I wanted to try all the food like other places offer, but cost and such might now allow it. This is a one stop shop and they make everything so easy. I felt like I was one of their family members for how kind and caring they were. Thank you Grands!!

We had our wedding reception at the Grands (Grand Lodge) last weekend and to be clear, we do not regret our decision to book the Grands, but there are several things I wish we would’ve known. A wedding venue is a huge investment, so I’m reviewing here as fairly and honestly as possible for future couples.Things that went well:-the food was incredible- better than we even expected, and we are still receiving compliments from our guests about it. -our DJ. Larry was wonderful.Things that should be improved based on our experience:-in the middle of our entree, the day-of coordinator approached us informing us, for the first time ever, that we would need to get our things out of the bridal suite before the first dance. All of our bridal party’s things were in that room, which we had not even begun to pack up. We were never informed, at any point in the weeks and months leading up to the reception, that there was a time the bridal suite would be closed. This created a frenzy (mind you, we are still trying to enjoy our dinner and are sitting in front of all of our guests at this time) to collect our things and move them. Where, you ask? We had to leave bags and bags of things just outside the bar. I was very frustrated by this, and there’s just no excuse for no one to have notified us of this sooner. My assumption is that they don’t do so because they don’t want to face disappointment/frustration from couples.-the shuttle is not at all as advertised. First, it is a van that seats about 8-10 people. I’m not sure how many trips it made, but our reception ended at 12:00 and there was no trip made between 12:35 and 1:10. Many of our guests were not able to fit into the first couple of trips and waited, in silence/while staff were cleaning up, until after 1am to be picked up. To make matters worse, several of our guests saw the shuttle approaching at about 12:15 and asked if they could board, only to be told by the driver that the shuttle was obligated on that trip to take guests from another wedding home (in the grand ballroom). So they watched on as it left them in the lobby. This was just really, really not how I had hoped to end the night.I reached out to the coordinator Melanie and expressed these frustrations and to my surprise, have not received a response.All in all, we would book the Grands again because it closely fit the vibe and price point we had in mind and was a central location for our families. However, there’s much room for improvement here. My husband put it well when he said “it seems like a venue who brings in a great DJ, great catering, but then doesn’t really know what else to do”. I agree.

I cant give them a high enough rating. I'd give 5,000 stars of I could. The whole staff was incredible, they made me feel like I was a queen on my wedding day. They made sure I was comfortable the entire time and taken care of. Planning of the wedding, everyone was prompt to respond, very informative and helpful. I would pick the Grands over and over for my special day. If you were looking for a sign... this is it.

Highly recommend The Grands. From the first visit to after the wedding they made the planning easy! The professionalism was beyond expectation! The food...OMG... what else can I say? We still hear how awesome it was!

The Grands at Mulligans was the absolute PERFECT wedding venue. Everything from the venue to the outdoor ceremony space was beautiful. The best part of this venue is the staff. From the moment we toured, to booking the venue, to the food tasting to the big day -- the staff were so kind and extremely helpful. I had ZERO stress on my big day because the Grands staff was on top of literally everything. It was so nice to have everything donee through the grands (food, entertainment, etc.) as this made wedding planning and communication so easy.The food at the grands was amazing. We heard from several guests that it was the best wedding meal that they have ever had.The reception was incredible. The grands provides you with a DJ and meets with you ahead of time to plan music you want and don't want - we have also been told by multiple guests that our dance was the most fun wedding dance they have ever been to and I have to give credit to the grands entertainment!

I had to rebuy most of the wedding products and did not receive a refund. Besides that, we love the Grands at Mulligans and received many compliments from friends and family about how nice the venue and location was. Thank you for a wonderful wedding experience.

He kept the dance floor packed all night long and really read the room on what kind of music to play! Alyssa and Joe were absolutely amazing the day of our wedding too- they were so organized and everything was in place! We hired day of coordinators but they were not needed with how much the Grands took care of absolutely everything. We also found the Grands to be very affordable compared to other venues in the cities. Every fee was transparent and we didn't end up being charged any fee we didn't know about up front. We had a Friday wedding (which I highly recommend!) so we saved even more money and we were able to get in the day before to decorate. The shuttle to the hotels was also fantastic and took multiple trips to get all of our (drunk) guests home safety. We highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for their big day!

Years back I attended a wedding at The Grands and from then on I knew I wanted my wedding there! Being able to book the ceremony, DJ, food, décor, and coordinator all in one place was stress free! Joe and Mel we're amazing and helped me through the whole process. And Larry made sure all of my DJ requests were there and ready! The \"cloud dance\" is an absolute MUST! It sets your first dance apart from every other one you've seen! They have an on site day of coordinator who helped us so much that day! She made sure everyone was in their spot and timing was perfect. She even brought us through the kitchen when I needed to be out of sight from guests that were arriving early. The price is actually so good for how much you get. It seems like it adds up quickly but knowing I only had to deal with a couple vendors because The Grands does so much was a huge weight lifted. The food is absolutely perfect! We had the Boursin Chicken and it was mouth watering (which is hard to do when its wedding chicken). And the torte cake is beyond expectations! We requested both the chocolate and raspberry flavors and everyone loved them. They also let me have my pup on the day of (outside) and we requested to get into the building an hour earlier and they were able to accommodate us for a small fee.My one regret is that I should have hired a clean up crew. I felt a bit overwhelmed when I realized the \"getting ready area\" had to be cleaned up before the first dance. Our families had to get up before dessert and had zero time to truly mingle with extended family and friends. And that goes along with needing everything out the night of. I totally understand why but it just isn't ideal when your trying to have fun. Everyone is just grabbing a box, or décor and throwing it in a truck without any order. Again, just another time where your feeling more stressed than you need to. All in all, our day was beyond perfect. We had mimosas and beer the morning of and the staff is so friendly and straight to business. When you need something they got you! The bartending staff is quick and efficient and we didn't end up with an astronomical bill at the end of the night because they knew what they were doing! Just a huge thumbs up for The Grands at Mulligans!

We loved getting married here!! It was an amazing venue! We rented the whole building and was very nice because we could use the facility throughout the day. The staff were very accommodating, knowledgable, and helpful. They responded with promptness and you could definitely tell that weddings and events are what they do best. This venue was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! The Grands is a one-stop shop for all of your wedding needs! The Grands staff were the most professional and easy to reach people! Mel and Joe were two people who were integral for our day; Mel always answered my emailed questions within 24 hours of sending them, and Joe helped us coordinate our whole day and helped us prepare for our ceremony and reception. The venue itself offers areas for ceremony and reception and has a bridal suites and a grooms room to make getting ready for the day a breeze. This spacious venue allows you to fit all of your wedding guests comfortably in the venue and be able to move around with ease. And the food? OH MY GOSH, not to toot my own horn but our wedding food was some of the best I’ve had- prepared in house by the Grands chef. We were nervous knowing that 2 weddings were happening on the same day at this venue but the day of we could not even tell there was a whole other wedding there as we never saw or heard them! We are so happy we chose the Grands! The only downsides are the amenities minimum as this was an extra cost that we would not have invested in if it was optional and not being able to rehearse at the venue the night before as a wedding is usually happening (this wasn’t a big deal to us but could impact someone else choosing the Grands)Overall we are so happy we chose the Grands and without the venue and the staff we would not have had the stress free day we had. Will definitely rebook for a vow renewal! 😉

We wanted a different venue and the Ballroom was absolutely gorgeous (perfect blend of modern, fancy, and tustic)!! They were on top of absolutely every detail from the tour through the end of the wedding reception. Eric was amazing proving details about everything the Grands would do in the tour and Clare helped us navigate every question and detail through the planning process. They acted like a wedding planner asking questions and making suggestions for things I hadn't thought of or had no direction on. They have a lot of experience and they use that to make your life as easy as possible in planning! The day of our event coordinator was very helpful and all the bar and wait staff were extremely professional and detailed. The food was AMAZING!! We missed our food tasting during to weather so we chose blindly and I couldn't believe how delicious it was - we wish we could order from them for take out because it was so good (and many of our guests are still raving about it 5 months later)!! The DJ is by far the BEST DJ I've ever seen at a wedding, I was truly blown away!! He was so hilarious and personable, which was fun to work with. He also was really skilled at reading the crowd and playing awesome music to keep the vibe going. We had SO much fun at our dance and had many people comment on how awesome our DJ was. Our wedding at the Grands was like an actual fairytale, it was so beautiful and perfect!! I wish I knew more people getting married so I could tell them to go to the Grands!!

Where to Start! We had our wedding at The Grands at Mulligans back in July. We were blown away with how helpful, friendly and alert their staff was. We have been to The Grands multiple times for other weddings and there as a guest of weddings you could just tell how everything flowed wonderfully and how above and beyond the staff are and not to mention how beautiful the venue was. Right there we knew in the future we wanted our big special day to be at The Grands. Our wedding day went perfectly as planned. On schedule, well organized and how could we forget to mention the Amazing food!! Where to Start! We had our wedding at The Grands at Mulligans back in July. We were blown away with how helpful, friendly and alert their staff was. We have been to The Grands multiple times for other weddings and there as a guest of weddings you could just tell how everything flowed wonderfully and how above and beyond the staff are and not to mention how beautiful the venue was. Right there we knew in the future we wanted our big special day to be at The Grands. Our wedding day went perfectly as planned. On schedule, well organized and how could we forget to mention the Amazing food!! This place saved our wedding. We had our hearts set on a different venue until we toured the Grands and immediately booked, thank goodness we did! Just a couple (literally two) weeks before the wedding (the busiest time with rsvp's, finishing centerpieces, decorations, confirming times etc.) my world fell apart with the news that two family members had serious forms of cancer. My fiancé, now husband, and I dropped everything and headed down to Rochester to help in any way we could. We left the centerpieces to my sister-in-law who I now owe for life and prayed it would all work out. By the time we got back it was just a few days before the wedding and I was panicking, but when we got to The Grands at Mulligans for setup it was already beautiful. Everything I had to do there was easy easy easy all of the times had been confirmed, we just put in the decorations, did a quick rehearsal in which our DJ, Larry, had already set up all of the music we needed (LIFESAVER) and we left feeling pretty hopeful. The wedding day went flawlessly. Everyone commented on how beautiful the wedding was, how well planned and smoothly everything went. We had almost nothing to do with it, the Grands took care of EVERYTHING that I didn't have the time or patience to figure out. They ushered people to where they needed to be when they needed to be there, the meals came out hot and delicious, bar service was prompt and everyone had a wonderful time! We have yet to hear a negative word from anyone. Thank you SO MUCH Grands at Mulligans!! Everyone thought we pulled off this fantastic wedding on our own but it was so easy on my part I feel like I cheated! We would definitely recommend this place for anyone and everyone.

This place saved our wedding. We had our hearts set on a different venue until we toured the Grands and immediately booked, thank goodness we did! Just a couple (literally two) weeks before the wedding (the busiest time with rsvp's, finishing centerpieces, decorations, confirming times etc.) my world fell apart with the news that two family members had serious forms of cancer. My fiancé, now husband, and I dropped everything and headed down to Rochester to help in any way we could. We left the centerpieces to my sister-in-law who I now owe for life and prayed it would all work out. By the time we got back it was just a few days before the wedding and I was panicking, but when we got to The Grands at Mulligans for setup it was already beautiful. Everything I had to do there was easy easy easy all of the times had been confirmed, we just put in the decorations, did a quick rehearsal in which our DJ, Larry, had already set up all of the music we needed (LIFESAVER) and we left feeling pretty hopeful. The wedding day went flawlessly. Everyone commented on how beautiful the wedding was, how well planned and smoothly everything went. I got married here a week and a half ago, and they made everything so easy! It took a lot of stress of me that they take care of the venue, caterer, cake cutting, and DJ so there were a lot less people to juggle with! It is so gorgeous here, I would definitely recommend it!!

Mulligans is a great venue. The Lodge is so beautiful and the staff was very helpful especially Claire! The food was amazing (Parm Chicken and Sirloin). Our DJ Alli Fox was great and had the party going. My only complaint was the dj planner Larry was rude to us at our final meeting. No biggie since he was not our dj for our wedding anyway

This was the PERFECT place to have our wedding!! Everyone was so easy to work with throughout the process of planning our wedding. The staff were extremely polite and helped to make our wedding day the amazing experience that it was. We booked the entire venue for our wedding on February 20th, 2016 and it turned out to be such a great choice. The building is beautiful, to the extent that we didn't have to go overboard with buying a lot of decorations. The food was outstanding and we received so many positive comments about the quality of the food. The staff helped make our goals and ideas for our wedding a reality. They were willing to work with us to help us find solutions that fit our budget. They were also there with us every step of the way on our wedding day. They helped everything to go smoothly so we didn't have to worry about coordinating everything on our wedding night. They took care of so many little things behind the scenes to help make it the perfect day! The DJ was so great!! He really got our party started and got people out on the dance floor. Everyone loved him and thought he did such an amazing job! I would DEFINITELY recommend The Grands at Mulligans to anyone who wants a quality, one of a kind wedding for a reasonable price. I loved my experience working with them and I wouldn't have changed a thing!

Everything was exactly how I expected it to be! The food was great, the venue looked exactly how my husband and I wanted it to, the staff was great! I HIGHLY suggest this venue to any and everyone looking for a place that has great food, service and is just overall a very inviting/comfortable place for your guests. The only issue we had was a horrible fish smell the entire evening... I am sure this isn't a reoccurring problem but just wish the smell would have been taken care of before our event. Nonetheless, it was still a beautiful evening. Thank you Grands staff!

The venue is absolutely gorgeous and the event team (Cindee, Emily, Jeff the chef, etc.) is fantastic. I cannot say enough great things about them. Our guests raved about the food and the beautiful atmosphere. Cindee and Emily were at our event the entire time to make sure things ran smoothy, and they did. I had complete confidence in them and they exceeded my expectations.

People kept asking me who my wedding planner was, and I simply told them that I didn't have one! The staff at Mulligans was prompt, courteous, and thoughtful. We had more compliments on the meal than at any of my three siblings' weddings, and they were only $16/plate! We had our wedding outdoors there, and it was so nice to have everything at the same place!
