Green Mountain Inn is a historic hotel wedding venue nestled in Stowe, VT. Since 1833, Stowe locals and visitors alike have enjoyed this splendid setting. The Inn, village, and mountains can be the scenic backdrop for your wedding day bliss. The celebrated village of Stowe has roots in the agriculture and lumber industries. By the middle of the 19th century, it had become a notable summer resort thanks to its scenic mountains and reliable transportation links. The Inn is a major part of this tradition, having served travelers, including a number of U.S. presidents, for over 180 years. This property has variously been traded for a farm, hosted a railroad company, been a dance hall, and served as a venue for radio broadcasts. The estate has changed size and composition over the years and has seen many renovations. Throughout its varied history, however, the Inn has kept its unique charm and atmosphere. Visitors to the Inn often become return guests. The stunning scenery of the local area and the rich beauty of the Inn and Stowe village entice in all seasons. Annual renovations ensure that the Inn has modern amenities in its eight buildings, while a warm Vermont welcome awaits visitors. Unique features include the Vermont Ski Museum and a series of watercolors by noted artist Walton Blodgett dotting the Main Street Dining Room. Green Mountain Inn can host weddings and elopements for a duo and up to 100 of their guests. Your rehearsal dinner can be held in the charming Main Street Dining Room, complete with a fireplace, antique dumbwaiter, and hardwood tables and floors. Alternatively, the adjacent Village Room provides an intimate and private space for a smaller gathering, ideal for dinners or ceremonies. The Mansfield Gardens suits outdoor weddings while the Library & Living Room is fit for indoor services. The Vermont Ski & Snowboard Museum is also available as a special venue for your wedding vows. After your wedding celebrations conclude in the Main Street Dining Room or Village Room, you can relax in one of 104 suites. The Inn makes for an ideal base to get to know the picturesque village of Stowe or more of Vermont.

Kendra and the Green Mountain Inn team knocked our wedding day out of the park. The food, the accommodations, the staff, and the wedding rooms were all excellent. We had to pivot our original outdoor ceremony plan to an indoor ceremony due to rain and the logistics behind that last minute change were handled beautifully. If you plan to have a small-medium sized wedding in Stowe, you will not go wrong with this venue. The team will work tirelessly to make your event beautiful. Thank you, GMI! We can't wait to stay onsite again in the coming years.

We just can't say enough good things about our experience! Everyone we worked with at the Inn was just wonderful and accommodating. They really cared about making it the best day possible. My husband and I were looking for a venue that maximized our time with friends and family for the whole weekend. We were a little skeptical at first since most of the GMI brochures and photos appeared to be smaller events or elopements, but we loved the price and we wanted to get married in Stowe so we booked. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about it. From the rooms to the Sunday Breakfast, the service, the food, and Michele (the event coordinator)--everything was stunning. We were married in Sept. in the beautiful Mansfield Garden on their property and pulled off a 70 person reception in the Main Street Dining Room that dresses up so beautifully! Every guests RAVED about the food--so much so that we had nearly a 75% turnout for breakfast Sunday morning. Michele made the planning very easy and few vendors were required since this is as \"all-inclusive\" as it comes. We loved the quaint Vermont feel of the GMI and we loved that our guests parked their cars on Friday and didn't depart until Sunday. All of our guests and us would highly recommend! Thank you GMI!

This venue was perfect for our wedding! Every step of the way, our coordinator, Michele, was prompt, professional, and bent over backwards to make our dream day a reality. It was the perfect size for 75 guests. Because the Inn is already decorated, it was easy and affordable to make our wedding look elegant and well-decorated in the reception room. The food was excellent, and the flow from cocktail hour to reception went smoothly. We couldn’t have asked for more from this venue or the staff!

We had a mid-size wedding reception with 70 people. My husband and got engaged at the Green Mountain inn. The location and city of Stowe hold a special place in our hearts. We couldn't have imagined getting married anywhere else! The service they provide prior to the wedding was exceptional and the day of was beyond my expectations. Our coordinator Jessica was extremely accommodating and kind, the service was remarkable, the pricing was very reasonable. Also, the accommodations were beautiful and the location in the quaint downtown area was perfect for us and guests who made our wedding weekend a mini vacation. We couldn't have made a better venue choice in Stowe. I highly recommend having your reception at the Green Mountain Inn!

We had an intimate (45-person) wedding ceremony and reception with a mixed crowd. We liked what we saw online and booked without visiting the venue in person; there were onsite accommodations and amenities, an intimate event space that holds up to 90 (so we wouldn't get swallowed by the room and would receive personalized service), a beautiful outdoor ceremony space with a great indoor back-up option, positive food reviews, and within walking distance from the many shops in town so our guests could enjoy Stowe. When we finally visited the property in person, we were really pleased with our choice and the level of service we received throughout the planning process. Our experience got even better when as the wedding approached. The food was exceptional, our event coordinator Jessica was extremely accommodating and kind, the service was great, the pricing was very reasonable. Also, the accommodations were beautiful and oh so comfortable. We couldn't have made a better venue choice in Stowe, VT for our event!

My Husband and I always dreamed of having a winter wedding. We recently pulled it off on March 1, 2014 in Stowe, Vermont. Our reception was at The Green Mountain Inn, which we highly recommend to any bride and groom who are looking to celebrate this day in the green mountain state. This location also served as lodging for most of our guests, since everyone was out-of-towners. We fell in love with this venue at first sight. The wood fireplaces, balconies, canopy beds, outdoor heated pool, fire pits, and so much more. What really sold us was the venues affordability. Their Main Street Dining Room was the perfect setting for our intimate list of 66 guests. The planning process with the staff was a breeze. They went above and beyond for us on several occasions. To name a few; delivering extra wine glasses to our apartment and providing all the tapered and votive candles for the table decor. On top of great customer service the food was outstanding. Our menu included homemade honey-oat bread, maple vinaigrette salad, whiskey marinated steak, Vermont cheddar chicken, lemon crusted salmon, wild mushroom and spinach strudel, and to finish it off an assortment of pies. If your looking for a classic, colonial, New England Inn, check this venue our for your special day.

We chose the Green Mountain Inn for our wedding reception and farewell breakfast the following day. The entire weekend could not have been more perfect! The staff provides excellent customer service and the accommodations are wonderful. It is the perfect setting for an elegant wedding with Vermont charm. Our guests raved about the food, the staff, and the atmosphere. I highly recommend this venue for any event!

This was the best place for my friends and family to stay!!! We did rehearsal dinner and a Sunday brunch here and the food was great!!!! Great atmosphere and it was so easy!!!! I highly highly recommend!!!!!

The Inn was such beautiful perfect place to have our winter wedding. Everyone was so nice and helpful, the food was absolutely delicious, we still get compliments about it, the Inn itself wa a beautiful setting and our wedding night suite was perfect. We are so thrilled we had our wedding there.
