We (BELLA VITA EVENTS - EVENT PLANNERS) got the chance to work at the Greystone Mansion around 6 months ago. As we reflect on our year, what an amazing experience we had there! We worked closely with Sara, the venue representative, and she is a nugget with: 1) her knowledge of the history of the property, 2) mixed with her determination to protect the venue's legacy, 3) while providing the best experience to the client.We coordinated an Old-Hollywood-&-Chic-European-inspired Wedding there, and it was enchanting. The Cocktail Hour unfolded on the mansion's terrace, overviewing the city, and the Dinner Reception took place in the picturesque courtyard, around the fountain, surrounded by beautiful stone facades & lush gardens.Thanks to our experience & our clients' vision, we were able to make their vision come to life. Ultimately, we jointly created an unforgettable celebration of love at the Mansion's timeless beauty. Definitely recommend! - BELLA VITA EVENTS

Although our wedding turned out beautifully, I was really disappointed in the service we received from Auburn Events (the company that manages the venue). There was a lot of employee turnover during our planning process, and we were never notified -- which made planning and communication difficult. So, perhaps not suprisingly, the venue coordinators and manager did not communicate in a timely manner during our planning process. On the day of our wedding, the support staff that Auburn Events had hired to set up for the ceremony and reception did not show up and my bridal party had to do things that we paid the event staff at Greystone to do. Additionally, after we left the wedding, the event coordinator emailed me informing us that she had accidentally ordered too much alcohol and that we would be expected to pay the difference for the bar tab (which was $500 more than we agreed to pay in our contract). We were really disappointed in the services we received, and if we had to do it over again we'd choose a different venue -- even though the house itself is gorgeous. I would not recommend this venue to anyone getting married while Auburn Events is managing it.

Overall I was very pleased with my location for ceremony and reception! At first I received very prompt responses and was able to go view the venue quickly! Then the rona happened and I was then directed to speak with someone else and it was difficult to get a response. It took 5 weeks to get a response and then FINALLY I was able to speak with the part time worker who made sure everything was handled and that she was readily available to answer all questions! The day of my wedding it poured (we had already booked the tent just in case- so no worries there) but the ceremony had to be moved to under the tent and the venue did not help do this at all. The people I had helping set up did all of the work and they just watched. Be sure to be extra organized when booking this venue and it will go fine, but you will be the one to initiate all conversations!
