Tracey Cataldo(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 16-07-2022 We found The Hall at Fauntleroy the week of our engagement while walking our pups in our West Seattle Neighborhood- we felt how special it was, and loved imagining the possibility of our wedding taking place just walking distance from our house. Immediately The Hall at Fauntleroy Team was responsive, thorough all while being festive and helping us feel celebratory. We loved the Event Proposal process, where The Hall of Fauntleroy Team drafted different versions of what our wedding and reception might include at a myriad of price points, everything was customizable to meet our vision of what was important and where we wanted to devote resources. Our dedicated coordinators were attuned to our energy and consistently made us feel seen - even when we were being two neurotic brides (virgo/capricorn duo). The team also had excellent recommendations for other vendors we might want to work with - but was equally warm and welcoming to vendors new to their team. We had so much fun at different planning events put on by the team including our tasting, an open house with featured vendors and our individual planning sessions. We also ate and drank so much! The full food and drink program was dialed in, thoughtful, seasonal dishes with local touches were exactly our vibe, We still dream about the lemonade! We understand our bias, but truly it was the best wedding we have ever been to and itâs what we continued to hear from a lot of our guests. Flow was effortless, staff were professional and FUN, we ate and drank so many delightful things. The setting felt cozy and unique, while maintaining quintessential Seattle energy. With one of us having a career as an event planner, the technical details were something that were very important to us, and it was perfect. Our day was both chic and comfortable - which is no easy task, but precisely what we requested. Coordinating a wedding as a queer couple can feel extra daunting, the wedding industry is often geared to a very specific vision of what a wedding should look like- The Hall at Fauntleroy team seamlessly integrated our narrative into our vision of our perfect wedding. Venue and Amenities:The Hall at Fauntleroy stands out as one of the premier venues in the greater Seattle area. Their in-house provision of essentials like linens, tables, and silverware significantly reduces the hassle of coordinating multiple vendors, allowing couples to focus more on their special day. The availability of various rooms for guests to mingle after the ceremony was particularly advantageous, especially for a destination wedding like ours. This spacious layout provided ample opportunities for guests to connect and celebrate.Staff and Service:The staff's accommodation was exemplary, contributing to a smooth and stress-free wedding day. Their attentiveness and willingness to assist with various needs added to the overall positive experience. Their adaptability, even with little experience in Indian cuisine, was commendable. They managed to deliver delicious food while accommodating specific dietary requirements like halal meat, showcasing their dedication to ensuring every guest had a memorable dining experience.Overall Impression:Choosing The Hall at Fauntleroy for our wedding venue undoubtedly made our day unforgettable. When my husband and I got engaged, I immediately started planning, and I knew without question that I wanted Tuxedos and Tennisshoes to cater our wedding. In fact, I contacted them and chose our wedding date based entirely on their availability. Throughout the entire planning process and all the way through til the end of our wedding night, they were nothing short of fantastic. Both Michelle and Reed helped us plan everything, from our menu to the schedule, to the setup, including every detail at the Hall at Fauntleroy. They stayed in constant communication via email and text, never letting me worry about a thing, which as anyone planning a wedding knows, is a challenge to do! Even leading up to the day before, I texted Reed because I'd had a nightmare about things falling apart and he told me not to worry because he would never let that happen. They took so much of my stress away! The wedding day went so perfectly - We were allowed early access to the Hall for setup and photos, and the Hall was in excellent condition with the gardens in particular looking absolutely beautiful. The bride room was the perfect little hideaway for me to get ready and to also tend to my daughter who was 8 months and breastfeeding at the time. My husband and his groomsmen utilized the studio, which they all thought was awesome with the lounge, bar, and pool table setup. The ceremony was held in the garden area outside the Vashon room and it felt so hidden and far away from the city, as all the plants were in full bloom; It felt like the secret garden! The garden at the entryway to the Hall was the perfect place for us to share our private vows and capture our \"first look\" photos. The space easily accommodated our 130 guests. Cocktail hour was held in the outside patio space with the 2-sided bar allowing for quick service, as well as tray passed appetizers for everyone. The food was unbelievable. Most of the guests went up to the buffet for 2nds and even 3rds, and I had multiple people ask me if I could try to get particular recipes for them - ha! The brisket and the watermelon salad were particularly delicious, along with the vegan cheesecake tartlets - to die for! The TNT staff was so wonderful throughout the event. Joe was the lead server and he made sure to bring my husband and I a few appetizers each while we signed our marriage paperwork, as well as cocktails to join in the festivities. When dinner began, he went through the buffet first for us to make plates for us so we didn't have to worry about that either. We were so well taken care of the entire time, once again taking away any possible added stress. The day was simply perfect and we couldn't have done it without Tuxedos and Tennisshoes. Since the wedding, our family and friends have repeatedly said how wonderful the day was and asked about not only the caterer, but the venue as well. I just can't say enough thank yous to Michelle, Reed, Joe, Chef Dan, and the whole Tuxedos and Tennisshoes team. They're the best! Reviewed on 12-12-2023

Months later and we're still getting compliments on our venue selection! Full disclosure, I work for DSquared Hospitality company, and the Hall at Fauntleroy is like home to me. That being said, not only was it the clear choice but it was the PERFECT choice for our wedding. We wanted a space with indoor/outdoor options that could give us peace of mind while getting married in a month with capricious weather. We initially planned for a garden ceremony but had a backup rain plan in the Vashon room. The phenomenal staff made sure that the setup was done promptly even with me dragging my heels (read: desperately praying for a rain break) on the final decision. The rain let up shortly after the ceremony and our guests enjoyed the garden during cocktail hour before going up to the Emerald Room for dinner and back to the Vashon Room for desserts and dancing. The multiple spaces and outdoor garden let our guests explore and find moments of peace amid all the excitement. Iâd be remiss if I didnât mention that one of the best benefits of the Hall is that they provide in-house tables/chairs/china/flatware/glassware as part of the venue rental. We added some personal touches and gorgeous rentals but the majority was already handled. The in-house caterer Tuxedos & Tennis Shoes Catering (ï hi friends!) did an incredible job with the food and service. They made sure everything ran smoothly behind the scenes and we were free to enjoy our big day. We had lots of small service requests from both cultural and health-related needs and they were absolute angels for accommodating and providing top-notch service. I was quite particular about the menu and crafted some custom items with the culinary team. Everything turned out SO delicious!! We had folks going back for seconds and thirds â big shout out to the sesame ginger pork belly and sweet chili king salmon <3 I highly recommend the Hall at Fauntleroy for any of your event needs! Holly Hall(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 29-05-2022 From the first time I reached out to T&T catering to the amazing salmon dinner, the T&T team was absolutely amazing. My first interactions were with Kimball and Sara, whom I hold dearly in my heart. They graciously walked my now husband and I through the planning process of having our special day at the Hall at Fauntleroy. On the big day, the T&T team stepped up even more than I could ever expect. 1) Rain was in the forecast and we planned to have our ceremony in the garden. The T&T team set up the upstairs room for our ceremony in case we changed our minds last minute, which we eventually did. That was such an amazing surprise! 2) A crow flew into our reception room before the ceremony (I had no idea - great job T&T + my wedding party!). Due to the food safety hazard, the T&T team once again went above and beyond and moved our entire reception set up (tables, chairs, decor, cakes, etc.) to the upstairs room. It was mesmerizing to watch while we finished our family photos inside. Lastly, but certainly not least, the team lead an incredible dinner service (family style). They made sure that all special meals when to the correct guests, wine glasses were always full, and even cracked some jokes with our friends at the âJesse tableâ. I HIGHLY recommend working with the T&T team for your wedding or any event. I cannot wait to work with them again one day in the future. Thank you for everything! Reviewed on 30-04-2023

We had our ceremony and cocktail hour in the Vashon Room downstairs and our dinner and reception in the Emerald Room. We used the billiard room (a part of the Vashon Room) as our staging area before the ceremony and it was an awesome hangout spot during the reception. We also used the bridal suite (part of the Emerald Room) to have a private moment after the ceremony and as a place to take a breath during all the dancing. We used the stage in the Emerald Room as our dance floor; everyone was seated on the main floor and was able to see all the special dances. We thought the ceremony looked beautiful in the Vashon room. The cozy brick in the Emerald room made our reception feel very intimate even though we had 125 people in attendance. Space wasnât a problem, they were able to accommodate the layout we wanted without any issues. Tuxedos and Tennis Shoes is the exclusive caterer and wait staff for the venue. Something that really sold us on this venue was having the catering already figured out but the ability to choose and bring our wine/beer and desserts. The Hall was extremely professional throughout the planning process. The staff was responsive throughout the planning process and day of the wedding, everything flowed well. We liked that the Hall was upfront with us on things we couldnât do, but if it wasnât on that list (cigar bar) they made it happen. Jessica Andrewartha(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 03-08-2019 We got married here in August and overall had a good experience. Our outdoor wedding in the garden was beautiful, the food was all delicious, and the day-of staff couldn't have been nicer. Some details:Food and cost: while certainly not cheap, the price seemed fair. They have a food minimum that was a little high for us but we added in cake which counted toward the minimum and was super easy because then we didn't have to worry about coordinating another vendor. (Plus the cake was tasty) We also brought in our own wine and beer so we only paid the corkage fees. We were really pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. It was delicious and plentiful. The only thing we didn't go home with boxes of was the asparagus. Coordination: This is the reason it's not a 5 star review. We struggled with getting answers and getting things coordinated ahead of time. We worked with Kimball and had to frequently follow up several times to get responses. Every time she sent us the contract there were corrections from things we had discussed and then she forgot to put in the document. By the month of the wedding we had given up any email and just started calling the office to get answers to our questions. The event came off just fine, it was just frustrating to have it be a lot more work than our low maintenance wedding really needed to be. They also will not let you book your rehearsal when you book your wedding. I get that they want to use the space for something more lucrative if they can, but we found out a few weeks before our wedding that instead of rehearsal Friday for our Saturday wedding, it had to be Thursday. So my grandpa had to change his flight in, which was frustrating. Event Day: the event staff were all super nice and attentive. I've never in my life had so many people making sure I had everything I need. The garden space is beautiful, and our set up was easy. My only advice would be if you're doing a summer wedding make sure to ask them to set up all the fans at the beginning. The space got really warm with all the dancing! Reviewed on 04-12-2019
Jelina Nguyen(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 29-06-2019 The Hall at Fauntleroy was just perfect for our wedding this past June! Firstly, the garden space was just so beautiful for the ceremony with the breeze and sunlight dappling through the trees. We rented the whole space so we used the Emerald Room for dinner and the Vashon room for our dance floor. There was even a studio with a billiard table for our grandpa to get his game on. It was just a perfect space because it allowed us to gather our very large family together when we needed to - for the ceremony and dinner, and enough room for guests to split up and do their own thing at the end of the evening. There was also a blacktop for us to bring in a late night food truck!Secondly, the staff at the hall went above and beyond any of our expectations. We worked closely with Emily and Kimball to plan and they were so knowledgeable and responsive! Definitely held our hands throughout the entire process. At the wedding the staff frequently checked in on us and made us a sampler plate of our passed apps knowing that we were going to be way too busy to get any food. Then at the end of the night they even helped us take down our decorations and even took our florals for safekeeping when we accidentally forgot them. Finally, the food was delicious. We had so many compliments on the food. Our carrot cake and assorted desserts were beautiful and delicious. In summary: beautiful venue, excellent staff, and delicious food. The garden is a beautiful setting and it actually makes you forget you are right in Seattle. The outdoor bar provided our guests drinks before the ceremony and made for a smooth transition to our outdoor cocktail hour. The beautiful brick walls and big windows of the Emerald room make for an ideal dinner setting. The room required little additional decoration and ended up being more beautiful than we could have imagined. Our guests raved about the food and we were impressed be the catering staff throughout the day. They were kind to all our guests and paid extra special attention to us. This venue was amazing - we booked the full venue, and had our ceremony and cocktail hour in the gorgeous garden and our reception in the Emerald Room upstairs (with a stage, which was perfect for our live band!). It fit our 130 guests perfectly with 8 people per round table (for a family-style meal - the tables can fit a standard 10, but we wanted a little more elbow room). As night fell, they turned on the lights in the courtyard, so people could get some fresh air. The only downside is that there's no AC, so the late-night dancing got a little sweaty. We rented it because it met our practical aspects required for a venue ( large bridal room for bride to hide, studio for party to hide and stage, private bathroom for brides with a large dresses, outdoor and indoor accommodations). I had no idea just how spectacular this place could become!Side note - You should definitely rent the whole venue out if you are planning to do the ceremony and the reception in the same place, since, depending on the time of year, it might rain (which -surprise surprise Seattle, it did). I had planned an outdoor wedding, only for it to get rained in at the very last second. The catering staff from Tuxedos & Tennis Shows (the catering company the operates out of the venue) was EXCELLENT and extremely helpful and accommodating. Plus, the food was to die for and beautifully prepared!! Our guests were gushing over how delicious everything was!! We have been to several weddings and I know for a fact our wedding had the best food of any wedding Iâve been to (as far as we know, there were NO leftovers). We also did family style plated dinners, so our guests did not have to wait in line to get food! The entire process was also extremely easy and very low stress. The Hall and T&T provides tasting events, including a private tasting for the future couple (which I LOVED). This allows to couple to actually try their meal before serving it, so they can make last second changes. It costs about as much as a nice dinner and it definitely worth the spend. Finally, we worked with Natalie who made the whole experience so wonderful! She was extremely detail oriented and communicative, going above and beyond for us to help make sure the wedding went off without a hitch. All and all, best decision to go with place!!Also, shout out to Moe from T & T! My feet were very, VERY wet (I wore lace flats and wanted pictures outside by the beautiful arch after it had rained - LOL). I asked some of the staff for something to dry my feet with and she went above and beyond to make sure I wouldnât have âcold feetâ on my wedding day! Thanks Moe!!TL:DRIf you are looking for a low stress, beautiful venue that has an amazing catering company with excellent staff and awesome food attached, The Hall is the way to go! Lauren Nance(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 04-11-2017 We got married at The Hall at Fauntleroy on 11/4/17, and both the venue and the exclusive caterer/event company Tuxedos and Tennis Shoes completely exceeded our expectations! We had our ceremony in the Vashon Room and our reception in the Emerald Room. Both spaces are so lovely that we didn't have to bring in much for decorating, which was such a blessing since we were on a tight budget. The staff here is so professional and friendly and they took amazing care of us and our guests. The Hall at Fauntleroy was the perfect place for our big day. Reviewed on 18-12-2017
Nicole Larson(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 26-08-2016 My wedding and reception were at the Hall at Fauntleroy this past August. My ceremony was in the Vashon garden and my reception was held in the Emerald Room. Our wedding turned out beautifully and was so much fun! The venue space is beautiful. The Vashon garden has a private feel and the Emerald room has gorgeous exposed brick and a statement light fixture that is eye-catching. I received many compliments on the delicious dinner catered by Tuxedos and Tennis Shoes, the exclusive caterer for the Hall. I can't say enough about how wonderful the staff were on the day of my wedding. The servers were great at anticipating our needs and made sure to do anything they could to make sure everyone had a great night. I didn't expect to be taken care of so well by the staff! The only downside was that there is no AC. They have multiple, large portable ACs and keep the shades down during the day, however, it was a 90 degree day and once we filled the hall, there was no denying it was warm. That being said, I had such a great experience and I would absolutely recommend the Hall at Fauntleroy to anyone looking to plan a large event! Reviewed on 16-09-2016

Robin Middleton(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 25-07-2015 We had our wedding reception at The Hall at Fauntleroy, owned by Tuxedos and Tennis Shoes. First off, let me say I cannot say enough good things about Sydney, our TNT coordinator. She was absolutely incredible!! Sometimes I felt like I was talking to her more than my own fiance. On more than one occasion, I would send her 3, 4, or 5 emails in a row with several questions each, and she was always so sweet and so nice and graciously answered my questions without any hesitation. \rThe space at the Hall at Fauntleroy is absolutely beautiful. We had our wedding in the Emerald Room, the brick room upstairs, and it is gorgeous. The downstairs is nice because it has the access to the outside, but I think the Emerald Room is way prettier. The brick and the 3 huge windows along with the mirrors are just gorgeous all over. \rOur actual wedding day went perfectly. The food was incredible, everyone kept saying how wonderful it was. The bartenders and servers were all so friendly and helpful and everyone kept congratulating us. They were also really flexible and great to work with, it was such an easy experience.\rI'm so glad we chose the Hall at Fauntleroy and TNT. It was such an easy decision and it was one I never regretted. They made our wedding so amazing! Reviewed on 31-08-2015
Robin Hicks(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 31-07-2015 We chose the Hall at Fauntleroy for it's convenience. They had an outdoor area for the ceremony and an indoor area for the reception. Through Tuxedos and Tennis Shoes they supplied all the food, tables, table clothes, and eating utensils. We did the rest and made it a very personalized wedding. The main organizer that we worked with was great and very accommodating. They let us bring in our own sound system, cupcakes, and decor. Reviewed on 26-08-2015
Mia Palsson(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 19-12-2014 We knew from the moment we walked into the Hall at Fauntleroy that it was the perfect location for our wedding reception. The staff was supportive, enthusiastic, flexible and creative throughout our entire year of planning. Kristin, Kate and the entire staff are absolutely wonderful to work with. Our menu from Tuxedos and Tennis Shoes was the most incredible food. We had relatives and friends call us in the days to follow to talk about the food!! Our breakfast menu was so delicious and fun! The venue has the most warm and inviting ambiance and there is plenty of room for all activities (photo booth, cakes, dancing, etc.) We LOVED everything about the hall and our pictures are incredible!! We HIGHLY recommend the Hall at Fauntleroy. Good luck and happy planning! Reviewed on 23-12-2014

Emily Nichols(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 18-05-2013 I love the Hall at Fauntleroy. It was our first choice venue, although we did look more just in case. Their catering company Tuxedos and Tennis Shoes was fantastic. Not to alarm anyone, and I doubt this will every happen to anyone else, but I originally started working with Reed Haggerty, he eventually got promoted to the manager, so understandably I got passed on to a new person that they hired, and the transition was smooth, the new person ended up being let go about 2 weeks before my wedding, and so one of the co owners took over my wedding. Honestly, they didn't skip a beat, they keep great files of their clients. They didn't miss any details. I emphasized that I really wanted to make sure that cake was served as soon as we were done cutting the cake, it was. They did perfectly. There is parking. It is a great location and near lots of parks and the beach for photos. The venue itself photographs extremely well. I love them. If I ever have another party, I might have to at least hire tuxedos and tennis shoes. Fantastic fabulous job, all the catering servers were fantastic. This is a local family owned business. \r\rFor total cost of service it may look high but received: \rFantastic customer service\rGreat Food\rFull Venue Space Rental All Day in Both Rooms\rOpen Bar and Buffet Style Dinner with Passed Apps for Cocktail hour for 180 people. Carolyn Blood(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 26-05-2013 The venue was our first big decision, and ended up being a really great one. The food was delicious (they sent us home with a week's worth of leftovers!), the venue itself was lovely to begin with and just lit up with our decorations, and the staff were amazing. David ended up handling the end of our contract with the Hall and I have never felt more taken care of. David's attention to detail was impeccable, and he was happy to help with anything we had questions on, any special requests, and making our day happen just how we wanted. \r\rThe few negatives I have are their pricing set up for linens and corkage fee - the $10 corkage was cut down to $5 for us, but if you have a larger wedding it's still a pretty large sum. The linens ended up working out, but you're unable to bring in your own. \r\rOverall fantastic experience and our wedding went off beautifully thanks to the hard work and dedication of David and his staff! Jennifer Thompson(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 11-06-2011 When we first realized we had a guest list of 250 guests, we realized quickly not many locations would accommodate our reception. Hall at Fauntleroy was not only in a central location (West Seattle) but across from a family church (Fauntleroy UCC). When we first visited, we loved the open space, with exposed brick in the Emerald Room. We met with Kristin, who was so incredibly accommodating, working with our budget and making suggestions for how to cut down on expenditures. She was honest, and helpful ⊠and answered our multitude of questions in a timely manner. On the day of the wedding, the staff was amazing â friendly, speedy and flexible.
