The Haven Event Space is a brand new premiere wedding & event venue just minutes south of Overland Park, custom-built to host elegant affairs and special occasions. Looking out over rugged Kansas parkland, the setting is ideal for couples looking to escape urban life for the big day. With amazing amenities and scenic views, the estate can be a wonderful backdrop to wedding photos and lasting memorable moments. Established by local Blake Harris, The Haven Event Space is a lifelong dream come true. Growing up in a family with strong entrepreneurial skills, he hoped to start a business of their own someday. After falling in love with his wife Abby, the pair married in 2014 and his plans became a reality, designing every corner of the estate down to the last floorboard. Spanning over 40-acres, the estate boasts a turnabout driveway and a massive party patio overlooking a 5+ acre pond. Couples and their loved ones are greeted by a charming foyer and barn doors before entering the main reception area. High ceilings, exposed beams, and an abundance of natural light characterize the romance of the main event space. Ornate chandeliers and grand staircases create a romantic ambience and effortlessly juxtapose the contemporary rustic decor. The Haven Event Space offers a variety of amenities and services to couples for their special day. Daily rental periods are available to suit each couple’s vision and budget for their big day. Indoor and Outdoor spaces for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception are sprawled throughout. Tables, chairs, inventory decor, and a custom-built in or mobile bar are included for the duration of the rental. This venue offers a choice of bar packages to suit any event, with beer, wine, and liquor available. They can also offer champagne for speeches and toasts, as well as signature cocktails in celebration of your nuptials. Additional amenities such as audiovisual equipment and professional sound systems and amazing LED lighting are in place to facilitate speeches and entertainment. Couples can choose to add an incredible Glass Mirror Photobooth or a Tesla Model X Exit vehicle to wow, impress, and entertain their guests! After the wedding, you can choose to sell decorations to this venue, preventing you from needing to transport them and contributing to a sustainable ethos. Couples can also make use of the two incredible oversized suites to relax and unwind prior to the ceremony and following celebrations.

The Haven is a wonderful event space to book your wedding or other special events at!! All of the staff, especially Taylor, were extremely kind and helpful in making our wedding day beautiful. Booking The Haven was the best choice we could have made! Blake, Taylor, and their entire team are by-far some of the best people we've come across, especially in the wedding industry. They continuously went above and beyond and answered the many questions I had throughout the entire process. We loved that they were personable right off the bat, and that there wasn't a single thing that came up in regards to the venue, services, or fees, that we didn't already know about. They are very upfront about what the packages they provide and what the cost of that will be. They were all present for almost every visit we had, and were even serving drinks at the bar the night of our wedding. The venue itself is GORGEOUS! We loved the layout, the outdoor games and firepits, and especially the bride and groom suites. The bridal suite is one of a kind, but we really struggled finding venues that also catered to the groom (more than just a janitor's closet). Blake really took the time and effort to make The Haven perfect and that's exactly what it is. If we were to do it all over again, this would be our top choice every single time.

Wish I could give more stars because 5 doesn’t seem like enough! Not only is the venue stunningly beautiful and accommodating for all styles, but the staff we worked with truly made our day become the best day ever! My husband and I signed our contract with The Haven before the foundation had even been poured. We spoke with owner, Blake, before booking and he showed us all of his ideas and what the space was going to look like one day. He went in depth about why they chose colors, layout, and all the tiny details that made the wedding day what it was. Hearing all of the details made my husband and I trust Blake and his team so much because it truly felt like they wanted all weddings in KC to be the most special. About 6 months after booking we were able to see the space in person. It was everything could have imagined and more! There is so much room to make it your own and add personal touches. We worked alongside Blake and Taylor through the entire process and they made our dream day come true! They made our planning process and wedding day flawless!! I cannot express how thankful we are for The Haven Event Space team. During our final walkthrough, we were able to create a floor plan that was different to what the space had done before. From the floor plan, to lighting, and all the options of decor, your event will be unique to your own personal style!I could go on and on about how much we loved The Haven. I want to thank Blake and Taylor for all their hard work they did to ensure we had an amazing wedding day. We will miss working with their team so much! You will not regret booking with them for your big event!

There is something to be said about vendors who become your friends. We were fortunate enough to meet Blake when he was still doing Zoom tours of the digital rendering of the venue. As a bride, I knew I was taking a huge leap of faith in booking The Haven not knowing how it would turn out in the long run. However, Blake's knowledge, care for his clients, and all-around awesomeness put my mind at ease. Any time I had a question, it was answered quickly and efficiently. I could not recommend this space enough. Blake and Taylor are such caring people, and Gus and I adore them. We already miss working with them, and can only look forward to watching them flourish even more. We are so grateful for their guidance, support, and love throughout our wedding planning process. If you're on the fence; don't be. The amount of personalization you are able to do with this venue is insane. The world is your oyster with music, lighting, flowers, etc. Thank you Blake and Taylor for making our wedding the magical fairytale it was. We love you guys, and can't wait to cheer you on and continue to be your number one fans.

We are very thankful for his vision and how he treated us. He made the experience truly special. The getting ready suite is a dream and one of the best parts of the day! We hosted our annual charity event for the Louisburg Elementary PTO here last weekend. We couldn't have been more pleased with how everything turned out, and the accomodations we recieved from the Haven staff. All of our guests were blown away by the service, photobooth and included attendant and venue overall. Such a beautiful place that really has their ducks in a row! We can't thank Blake and the Haven team enough for all they did! We will DEFINITELY come back and book them again for our 2023 charity event!

The rooms are well equipped and everyone in our group was really impressed. The technology all worked well. The site and weather were beautiful and we spent some time outside by the fire pits. My wife and I have been working with Blake Harris and The Haven Event Space team in booking an event for late 2021. Our experience thus far has been OUTSTANDING! Blake has gone above and beyond to accommodate any and all our questions, concerns, and plans! Knowing the complications that typically come with organizing a large event, we were guarded going in on the planning process. However, after a couple quick meetings with Blake and using his extremely helpful preferred contacts and vendors, we are well on our way to having a wonderful event! We are looking forward to our celebration, and are so excited to be holding it with The Haven!WE'RE SO EXCITED!

Knowing the complications that typically come with organizing a large event, we were guarded going in on the planning process. However, after a couple quick meetings with Blake and using his extremely helpful preferred contacts and vendors, we are well on our way to having a wonderful event! We are looking forward to our celebration, and are so excited to be holding it with The Haven!WE'RE SO EXCITED!

Blake was the absolute best!!! Although we didn’t go with The Haven for our wedding, it really broke our heart to not be able to. Blake made our entire experience so incredible, the best experience we had with any vendor!! He is so sweet and he really cares about you and your special day!! Anybody would be incredibly lucky to book The Haven for their wedding.

While The Haven is not fully constructed yet, the 3D Renderings are BEAUTIFUL! The owners Blake and Abby Harris have been nothing short of amazing with answering questions and being professional. I would have loved to have my wedding here but timing was against us, however, since I have done many weddings with Blake in the past, I felt confident in asking him to be our “day of” wedding coordinator. We are so glad we did because Blake made sure everything was handled and went smoothly! We had total peace of mind! Overall, the venue is sure to be a true gem and the owners absolutely know know weddings. Highly recommend!

Blake and Abby are the best! My wife and I are so excited to have our vow renewal at The Haven Event Space. They are pet friendly so we can have our corgi’s in the ceremony! It is really amazing finding a LGBTQ+ friendly event space they really do welcome all!

Although the venue isn’t finished being built yet we got a personal tour of the grounds, saw all the plans for the venue, and got all questions answered. Meet the The Haven Event Space Team
Blake Harris (Owner) The Haven is owned by Blake Harris. The Haven is a dream turned reality and was custom designed from the ground up, with every detail meticulously thought of, with you in mind. The Harris' purchased The Haven's 40 acres in October of 2019 with the plans of building the event space. Today Blake and his wife Abby live just minutes from the venue in Stilwell, KS with their two Alaskan Malamutes, Phin & Phiona, who you are sure to meet. This is their story, and they cannot wait to help you write yours.
