I love the restaurant and I always have good times, that’s why I chose the Haversham house as my wedding venue, but it was a mistake.First we had the old wedding coordinator ghosting us, after she left, we were planing everything with the new coordinator, in the begging everything seemed fine, but the guy changed, he seemed to start hating his job, was always impatient and the day of my wedding we got to the venue with his team to START decorating 4 hours before the wedding, should I say that, when I got there they did not have everything ready? There was a lot of things around the venue that should be hidden?! Was raining and he told me they had a plan b, we would use the tent, everything was dirty, he did not put any decoration up, and he was wearing work out shorts and sneakers, the day was a mess and my wedding party heard him saying that he needed a new job and he needed to get out of that place.I got depressed after my wedding that was in September and I just started been at peace with that day now. Love my husband and I had special moments because our guests, but if I knew was gonna be like that, the Haversham would be the last option in my book! Reviewed on 21-01-2024

We had our wedding at The Haversham in August 2023 and could not have had a more perfect day. We worked with Brendan as our coordinator and he was always available to answer any questions we had in the months/weeks/days leading up to our wedding. He went above and beyond to help us solve issues that arose in our planning process that were out of his control. We opted to set up our own decorations the day before our wedding before we had our rehearsal. Brendan was accommodating and opened up the venue for us so we could have time to set everything up. He also helped us figure out last minute seating arrangements and worked through our timeline with us. The day of our wedding was phenomenal, and we had the best time with zero hiccups. The food was excellent, the gardens were beautiful and the serving staff and bartenders were all so friendly and professional. We hosted our after party at the tavern next door and worked with Brendan and the tavern manager, Ryan, to serve late night snacks and reserve a room and some tables for our guests. We also rented the farmhouse next door and it was the perfect place to get ready with our bridal party and family the morning of, and have pictures taken—highly recommend!! Overall, The Haversham is a beautiful venue, with amazing staff, and extremely reasonable prices. We are so happy we chose to have our wedding there!! Reviewed on 03-11-2023

What can I say? My wedding was absolutely different than I expected, was raining, something we can`t control of course, I was waiting to walk to my now husband and the venue was not ready since my wedding was 4pm and the staff arrived to decorate only 1pm, they did not have time to finish, left decor arounf the venue in places it should not be, my ceremony had no decoration, everything I bought and planned for, in boxes, they barely played my song when I walked because the venue ``wedding coordinator`` drooped the ball and rushed everything, he was also wearing sports shorts and a sneaker on a wedding he was coordinating, after the ceremony we needed someone to manage our timeline and thank god we had an amazing DJ that stepped up, the coordinator was seating in the bar with the chefs, unfortunally if was not for a few other vendor beeng so awesome and our guests, my day would just be an absolut disaster. While the communication at The Haversham was sometimes lacking, we really enjoyed having our wedding there and are really happy to have our memories connected to such a special place. The atmosphere is super warm and inviting and cozy. The gardens and outside area are so beautiful and taken care of. The staff make you feel like family there! We had Brendan working with us and I am so glad he was there for the ceremony rehearsal because otherwise it would’ve been a huge mess! He helped us figure out how to walk and all of that so that on the day of the wedding we knew what we were doing and everything went smoothly. We felt like they really took care of us and went beyond to make sure we, as the bride and groom, were happy and well fed. The food is absolutely amazing. We got a lot of compliments. Once the reception started, things got a little confusing because our timeline got messed up and we couldn’t find a lot of the staff that could help. I would recommend having a day of coordinator, if you can. That’ll help you stay on task if things like a formal cake cutting and parent dances, etc are important to you. We did our own decorations and the staff set them up. Make sure you are very clear about what you want if you are particular about the setup, because if you don’t specify where something should go they will place it however they want. Sounds obvious, but I just want to emphasize that. Make sure you bring a credit card with you to the wedding if you’re doing open bar because you will have to close it out at the bar at end of the night. Overall I loved the Haversham, you just have to make extra certain that you’re organized and on top of things so that everything can go the way you want. Reviewed on 18-08-2023

Brendan was new to event organizing but he did a truly incredible job on our big day. His attention to detail, calm demeanor, and genuine kindness made us feel at ease instead of anxious about the day. He was truly a blessing! He made sure the day went smoothly, was there for us to answer any questions and made sure everything was handled behind the scenes. The venue was stunning! We loved the look of The Haversham from the moment we first visited and it was even more beautiful on our special day. It rained on our wedding day but the tent was already set up and ready for us. Abigail Pennington(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 27-08-2022 Our day here was fantastic, so we would still recommend them to a friend for the beauty of the place outside and in, the pricing, and the delicious food. However, it was often such a difficult process in the leadup to the event that we can't give 5 stars. It was often impossible to contact the event organizer, taking as much as two weeks or more to get back to us on simple questions. It might be that they were overburdened, but it added immensely to our stress each month. Several times appointments were missed or hours delayed without explanation. We felt better with Nathan who took over in the final months before our wedding. Even so, simple things that everyone deals with like allergies were not explained until the week of, and then not followed through day of the wedding (we gave them a spreadsheet and wrote allergies on table cards as directed, and then waitstaff still asked my grandma [why??] during dinner what EVERYONE'S allergies were in attendance.)On the pro side, the venue is so well maintained outside and the inside is lovely, old fashioned New England charm that reads glamorous when it could easily read outdated. Nathan was very nice and understanding when we got to work with him. The food was fantastic, especially at our tasting but for the most part day-of as well. They were accommodating to our personalizations like a signature cocktail, and the price was incredible and made it worth all the hassle leading up. Finally, the dance floor is a great size and they had everything we needed for extra tables for our reception extras. Again, we loved our day and it went off mostly without a hitch, so it's difficult to write this review. But the stress beforehand really had an impact on our experience with the venue, so I hope they're able to improve on that because then this would be the perfect venue! Reviewed on 25-09-2022
Elizabeth Farnsworth(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 18-06-2022 I would like to start by sharing the highlights of this venue, as I do think it has the potential to be an excellent wedding spot. The rental fee was affordable, the food was excellent, the staff was as absolutely phenomenal in setting up our welcome table and centerpieces, and the grounds and ceremony spot was lovely. We worked with Tara from our time of booking up until shortly before the wedding and she was great—very attentive and accommodating. In early May 2022 (wedding in June 2022), I reached out to ask: 1. about scheduling the rehearsal, and 2. about renting the venue’s farmhouse for the wedding weekend. Tara said she would check and get back to me. Over the next 5 weeks, I was unable to get in contact with anyone at the venue at all. A phone calls, emails, voicemails, and texts went unanswered. Finally, 5 days before the wedding, after speaking with 3 different people at the restaurant next door, I found out Tara was on medical leave. Nobody at the venue reached out to couples with upcoming weddings to let them know our point of contact had changed. Nobody would have reached out to me at all if I didn’t keep calling, and I would have had no rehearsal, they wouldn’t have known my menu counts and choices, or appetizer choices (since nobody acknowledged those emails). I was finally able to talk to the backup wedding coordinator 4 days before the weeding to finalize everything and ask all of the questions I had been trying to ask for almost 6 weeks. Needless to say, we never heard back about renting the farmhouse and missed out on that. When scheduling the rehearsal, the backup coordinator assured me he would work with the restaurant next door (part of the venue) to get my rehearsal party a reservation. There was no reservation when we arrived. He also confirmed we could arrive at 9:30 am the morning of the wedding to start hair/makeup. We showed up and the groundskeeper had no idea why we were there and was not ready for us. The day itself also had a couple of hiccups. We secured certified gluten free desserts for a guest with a serious allergy and gave specific instructions to keep them separate and not even remove them from the box. They were placed on a tray with all of the regular desserts and contaminated, ruined for our guest. Additionally, the set up all of the desserts (donuts) uncovered before dinner was even served. Naturally, people went up and helped themselves, so by the time guests received their main courses, they had already filled up on donuts and a large portion were missing before we even cut the cake. Nothing exceptionally horrible happened, but I felt like we were cast aside and like we really fell through the cracks. Nobody should feel like that on a day they spent 18 months planning and tens of thousands of dollars on. I also had to worry about things the venue should have taken care of (e.g., separating the desserts). Overall, I think it was basically a case of bad timing and scrambling by the venue to stay afloat with their main coordinator out; however, no couple should be ignored like that for so long and so close to the wedding they booked, and shouldn't feel so overlooked. Nobody should experience that on their wedding day. The venue did provide us with a complimentary photobooth, which was a hit. Reviewed on 17-07-2022

When we found it, it immediately felt like the right pick for us. The building is warm and inviting. We met Tara, the event coordinator, when going to look at the venue in person, and she was extremely helpful and professional. Once we decided to go with the Haversham, she helped us make food decisions and was very accommodating with all of our requests. On our wedding day, Tara made sure everything went smoothly. We received many compliments from guests about how beautiful the venue was and how wonderful the food was. The rest of the staff was fantastic too especially with a walk up bar still not allowed, they really kept up! Our guests party hard (lol) and they had drinks in hand ALL night. Also, if you get the chance to book the farmhouse next door, DO IT!!!!! That place is huge, beautiful, fully equipped. It was way more fun to host our wedding party/immediate family at for the after party and dinner the night before. It has a huge kitchen, grill outside, a game room, and a next level surround sound system for music! Also, as the bride it was perfect to get ready there with my bridesmaids and have the men hang in the in-law or game room while we stayed in the house, then you can literally walk right over to the venue when it’s time.
