The Mansion at the Hellenic Center is ideally suited for groups of 80-140 guests during the months of November to April. Additionally, our Tidewater Sailcloth tent offers a perfect space for larger gatherings, accommodating groups from 125-200 guests from May to October. Approach the 100-year-old Georgian-style mansion via a private drive, creating anticipation for the unforgettable moments that await. Ascend the historic grand stairway to discover elegantly furnished getting-ready suites with private bathrooms for the wedding couple, adding a touch of grandeur to your day. Throughout the seasons, the Mansion at the Hellenic Center provides a captivating backdrop for your event. This was an absolute dream wedding venue. The mansion and the grounds are absolutely stunning. And the team is amazing – we loved working with Sue as our day of coordinator. The Hellenic Center offers so much flexibility. We took great comfort in knowing that in case of bad weather, there were alternative options like the tent for the cocktail hour. We also had a big wedding (200 guests) which the Hellenic center could easily accommodate. Everything ran super smoothly and all of our guests had a fabulous time. We feel so lucky to have found the Hellenic Center!

This was an absolute dream wedding venue. The mansion and the grounds are absolutely stunning. And the team is amazing – we loved working with Sue as our day of coordinator. The Hellenic Center offers so much flexibility. We took great comfort in knowing that in case of bad weather, there were alternative options like the tent for the cocktail hour. We also had a big wedding (200 guests) which the Hellenic center could easily accommodate. Everything ran super smoothly and all of our guests had a fabulous time. We feel so lucky to have found the Hellenic Center!

We had a beautiful wedding at the Mansion at the Hellenic Center in the fall of 2023. The Hellenic Center boasts a variety of gorgeous photo spots, multiple beautiful ceremony locations, and lovely bridal/groomsmen suites. However, there are a few drawbacks to choosing this venue that we wish we knew before moving forward. The drawbacks fall into three major categories: (1) Communication with venue operators, (2) Venue accessibility and (3) On-site time allotment. (1) Communication with venue operators. The venue is operated by an event planning company called Mavinhouse Events. When we were touring the venue and booking our date, they were communicative and helpful, accommodating multiple tours and answering questions about the space. Once our date was booked however, we struggled to get responses from them on pertinent information for our planning process. We were specifically dissatisfied that we were told before we paid our deposit that we could have our rehearsal at the venue the evening before our wedding, but when it came time to book the rehearsal, we were told that noon was the only time slot available because the venue coordinator had a conflict that evening. This threw a wrench in our rehearsal dinner plans. Once we were a month out from my date, we exclusively worked with Dana Sayers who offered her expertise on details we weren’t sure of and accommodated special requests such as a pinata at our cocktail hour, but we often felt like we were “bothering” her with our event, and we were unhappy with her treatment of our day-of coordinator. (2) Venue accessibility. Ipswich is convenient to travel to for guests local to Boston and the surrounding towns/cities such as Beverly, but we struggled to find nearby accommodations that were both affordable and large enough for our guest count and because most of Ipswich shuts down after 10PM, there were few options for after party locations. Plus, it's impossible to get a rideshare in Ipswich late at night. We ended up staying at the pricey Briar Barn Inn (book ASAP as they have a lot of on-site weddings that take the room blocks) and arranged transportation to an afterparty in Beverly. Also, on the topic of accessibility, the grounds are NOT accessible for elderly guests. My 97 year old grandmother had a very hard time navigating to my ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception with her walker. (3) On-site time allotment. The Hellenic Center was extremely strict about time allotted on-site, which severely impacted our day. We could not arrive on-site until 1:30 PM, which means we could not get ready in the bridal suite. Because of this timing, our photos were rushed, so we felt like we couldn’t take full advantage of the beautiful grounds. Further, vendors can’t arrive until 2.5 hours before the ceremony, which caused a huge rush that resulted in missing decor and guests arriving before everything was set up. You can pay to extend your time on-site, but it costs $500 per 30 minutes, which is unaffordable for someone paying for their own wedding. These time restrictions were extremely difficult to manage and caused a lot of stress on our day. Even if we knew about the drawbacks detailed above, we still would have booked this venue, but we would have made some different decisions knowing what we know today. We got married at the Hellenic Center in August and we could not have imagined a more perfect day! We went to a wedding here about 6 or 7 years ago, so when we looking at venues we knew we had to check it out. At the time when we made the decision that the Hellenic Center was going to be the place where we tied the knot we met with Deb who does not work there anymore. When we heard that Deb was no longer at the Hellenic Center and it was a new management team we were a little nervous, but the new management team was phenomenal to work with and the entire management change was so smooth. We had the pleasure of working with Sue who was absolutely incredible to work with. She was so easy to work with and communicated so well and so quickly. She truly helped make our day perfect, stress-free, and helped to make it flow with ease! She understood our ideas and decorative ideas, she gave us suggestions along the way, and she was so organized. The Hellenic center is such a beautiful mansion and the grounds are very well-kept up with. We had so many guests tell us that we picked a perfect wedding venue, and we could not agree more! The bridal suites are perfect and offer enough space for large bridal parties. We are so happy that we picked the Hellenic Center!!!

Our wedding at the Hellenic Mansion was an absolute dream. We were married in August on the perfect day and were able to be outside in the tent. It was everything I imagined and so flawlessly coordinated. We did work with an outside planner but the event coordinators were fantastic - very communicative, helpful, and lovely. They were on top of any potential weather/rain plan, helped ease my anxiety about decisions to be made, and made the wedding planning process so fun. We worked with Maggie who helped everything move seamlessly throughout the day. It was honestly the most perfect day at the most perfect venue.

I am so happy we picked this venue for our wedding. It is such a hidden gem! Literally, you might miss it from the road as it is tucked away in the beautiful town of Ipswich. This venue is so beautiful and so affordable for what it is. You don't need lots of decor because the venue is beautiful in itself! There are countless spots for photos and options for ceremony/reception location. The whole wedding planning process was a breeze. We worked with Ashley, who was the best! She was always happy to answer our many questions and was very organized. We loved having in person planning sessions with her. On our actual wedding day, she was so helpful with keeping things running smoothly. It DOWN POURED during our reception and Ashley was calm and decisive during it. I will never forget seeing her soaked as she worked to put the tent siding down to protect our guests from rain. If she was stressed it wasn't apparent to us or our guests. Thank you so much, Ashley, for rolling with the craziness of the weather and keeping calm for us. It was the most perfect day and we couldn't recommend this venue more!

If you are looking for your wedding venue, look no further than The Hellenic Center. It is the most stunning, whimsical mansion on the north shore. As soon as we walked in during our first tour, we were blown away by how beautiful the grounds are. There are so many great places for photos as well as different areas for your ceremony. From the large oak tree outside, the garden/veranda, and the beautiful interior, you truly cannot go wrong. The venue is easily accessible but still feels tucked away and private. Midway through our wedding planning process there was a management switch but the new team that came in did a great job taking over and making sure everything went smoothly (and on time!) We are so grateful for the team there and what went into making our wedding the most perfect day. We cannot recommend this venue enough!

I’ll be as concise as possible. Overall if you want a venue all to yourselves with privacy, the ability to get ready onsite in lovely suites, gorgeous gardens and lush grounds, so many places for unique photos, a stunning mansion that looks impressive from all angles, and a versatile interior, I recommend touring the Mansion at the Hellenic Center.Deb was a true professional and answered all of my questions promptly, and had all the solutions to anything that came up. She was organized during the planning process and kept us on schedule throughout. Everything ran so smoothly and (despite being someone who stresses easily), I didn’t feel stressed at all on our wedding day and we enjoyed ourselves 100%. 
We toured many venues and there is something special about this one.

Beautiful Venue, great price and the best Director of Events, Deb! I researched a lot of wedding venues before deciding on this one. The location, the mansion, the grounds, the bridal suite, the beautiful pictures from other weddings, I knew I had to visit and this was the place for us. The day we toured, we signed our contract, it was the only place we toured but we knew it was our place. Deb was so amazing throughout the planning process, so helpful and organized. She accommodated our requests and every meeting with her gave us the confidence that our wedding day would be amazing. On the day of she was there to help coordinate everything and get our DIY stuff set up, she checked on us and everything ran so smoothly. Our wedding day was perfect, the venue was gorgeous, the weather was amazing and we couldn't have asked for a better place to get married. Seeing our sneak peak wedding pictures made me SO excited to see the rest and the gorgeous venue in the background is one of the reasons I chose this place. Highly recommend getting married here, it was the perfect wedding day!

She was so helpful when it came to recommendations for a DJ, caterer, and anything else you can think of. Her expertise is very valued. Now the venue, beautiful inside and out. The Hellenic Center was the perfect venue for our wedding. We fell in love with the property the moment we saw it! It is well kept both inside and out. We were a COVID reschedule from September 2020 to September 2021. Deb was easy to work with and accommodating every step along the way! She was responsive and organized and put our minds at ease. Even before getting engaged I always knew I wanted to get married at the Hellenic Center, but I was truly blown away at how perfect our wedding day was. Deb did such an amazing job with helping to coordinate everything exactly how we wanted it. With the Canadian border being closed, our guest count ended up being quite a bit different than originally planned, but she was so accommodating and helpful. She kept in touch throughout the months filled with uncertainty and really kept us both at ease. I couldn't recommend Deb and the Hellenic Center enough.

Even before getting engaged I always knew I wanted to get married at the Hellenic Center, but I was truly blown away at how perfect our wedding day was. Deb did such an amazing job with helping to coordinate everything exactly how we wanted it. With the Canadian border being closed, our guest count ended up being quite a bit different than originally planned, but she was so accommodating and helpful. She kept in touch throughout the months filled with uncertainty and really kept us both at ease. I couldn't recommend Deb and the Hellenic Center enough.

Hellenic Center & Vinwood was a dream combination for our wedding. Our guests had an amazing time and the entire reception went exactly as we planned. The gorgeous grounds were perfect for our cocktail hour and photos, and the tent was beautiful for dinner & dancing. Our guests kept telling us how much they loved the venue! We had a previous venue cancel on us due to new ownership and we booked the Hellenic Center only two months in advance. Thankfully, Deb jumped in immediately and we felt so confident that she was on top of all of the details! Deb is a gem and surprised us with a bottle of rosé before we left for the night. If I knew the events that happened leading up to my wedding, would’ve happened, I would have never gone forward with the Hellenic Center. I gave them 2 stars because through all the chaos in having 3 different wedding coordinators, Deb did accommodate us...however I was reminded that this is not how it goes and they were doing us a favor and to not advertise that this was previously promised to us. It was uncomfortable to be quite honest. I expressed my gratitude for them accommodating but it’s not my fault that there was a change in management. To start, we worked with Tamie. I moved forward with The Hellenic Center because of her longevity with the venue. After seeing Tamie in action when a wedding took place, I knew she’d do everything in her power to make sure my day was perfect for us. I one day emailed Tamie only to get an auto-response from someone new, Linda. She was terrible. After a month or so of dealing with Linda, we got another coordinator about 2/3 months before our wedding day. Things were fine up until the day before and day of the wedding. When I showed up with all my stuff, Deb was asking me where everything should go. When I originally spoke with Tamie she said she’d take care of all the decorating unless I specifically wanted something somewhere. I told her I wanted ALL the mantels decorated with the candles, along with the signs put out that I bought. I had also asked that the 4 long tables have many candles on them. The day of the wedding, I arrived to 4 bare tables, without candles and one bare mantel. I even had guests tell me it was a missed opportunity not to decorate that mantel. Not only did I come back to find that the lack in decorations but my cocktail hour was all over the place. The cocktail hour was supposed to be outdoors. It had rained that day but stopped by the time we got there. My guestbook, seating arrangement and card box were outside while the hor d’oeuvres were served inside. There was ZERO direction for guests when they arrived. Some just walked in the front door, some walked around the side, no one knew where to go until our best man jumped out of point guests in the right direction. Because most walked in through the front door, they didn’t get a chance to see our guestbook. With 167 guests we only ended up with 15 messages. Guests couldn’t find where they were sitting because the cocktail hour was inside while my cardbox and seating chart was outside. Most guests were confused on where they were sitting because again, there was 0 direction and the logic of having the seating chart outside while everything else was inside didn’t dawn upon our guests.There was zero supervision on the cardbox. Guests searched for my mom to let her know the box was full and it had to be emptied out. My mom connected with Deb on this she said she’d put the cards in her locked office. We had some guests arrive late and they had cards they gave us, we couldn’t find Deb but when we tried to get into her office we did so without a problem, it wasn’t locked and we came to cards all over her office. We are also missing a handful of cards to this day. It could very well be that guests came without gifts but my immediate thought is that it was probably lost somewhere in the office since there were cards scattered around the office.All in all, we were disappointed with our experience. One thing I can say, is that we partnered with Vinwood through the Hellenic Center and the food was AMAZING! Guests raved about it.

We had around 208 guests and I was worried about it feeling crowded in the reception, but it was perfect. Most of all, the wedding coordinator Tammy was absolutely incredible. She answered all of our questions, made great recommendations, honored our wishes, and the day of was an absolute ROCK STAR. I really mean it; Tammy made our wedding go off without a single hitch, which left me with nothing to do but enjoy my day worry-free!

I can’t say enough about this venue and the people that work there. We got married in June, the grounds were well kept and Tamie made sure everything was perfect. How can I begin? From the moment we stepped onto the property, we knew it was the place for us. Even the drive down the winding driveway lined with trees was magical. Then we met Tamie and it sealed the deal! She is so kind and easy going. She made us feel comfortable about the entire process and offered great ideas, many of which we used! She is also very flexible and worked with my husband and I to make our vision come to life.The property is extremely well cared for. My girls and I got ready the morning of, and the bridal suit was perfect! Enough room for 9 of us to comfortably get ready and relax, plus my makeup artist and 2 hair stylists! The gardens are beautiful and very well manicured. We held our ceremony under the large tree, and it was perfect. The dining room is a fantastic setting for a beautiful evening of dining and dancing! My guests are still complimenting the venue.As much as a beautiful setting can make a wedding, it is truly the behind the scenes coordination that ties everything together. Tamie worked so wonderfully with my wedding planner to ensure the day ran smoothly. She also has a great relationship with the caterers (Vinwood Catering), so everything was done exactly as I hoped. It was raining the entire morning of my wedding day, and I went through all of the options of our rain plan before finally making a decision. Tamie was calm and relaxed through it all, which helped me also stay calm. If there were any issues the day of, I had absolutely no idea. From my point of view, everything was more than perfect!Overall, The Hellenic Center is an amazing venue with wonderful staff who helped to make my wedding the best day of my life. I highly recommend this wedding venue to anyone out there still searching for that perfect place!

The Hellenic Center checked all the boxes for us: a lovely outdoor space for the ceremony and cocktail hour, beautiful bride and groom suites, a mansion/vintage style, and a reasonable price tag. We toured about 12 venues and The Hellenic Center was our top choice by far. Tamie is so nice and easy to work with and has many years of experience. She gave us some great decor and logistical suggestions that we ended up using for the wedding. Since she’s basically a one-woman show at The Hellenic Center, it can be tough to get ahold of her at times. However, if something was very time-sensitive I was always able to reach her by text.We appreciated how our rental was for the ENTIRE day. Someone let us into the building early in the morning and we were able to hang out all day doing hair and makeup. I know some other venues won’t let you in until a few hours ahead of time. Being there all day made me feel much more relaxed and in control of the day.On the day of the wedding, a different woman named Mackenzie showed up to coordinate instead of Tamie. We were disappointed that Tamie didn’t contact us to say that she wasn’t going to be there. Mackenzie was very nice and professional, but since she wasn’t involved in any of the planning discussions there were some lapses in communication (as might be expected). For example, she walked up to my MOH during the ceremony and told her to take my bouquet when we had intentionally planned for me to keep the bouquet. Also, she was trying to direct my wedding party to do their entrances in a different location than we had planned. Overall nothing major however.All in all, we had a great experience and would recommend The Hellenic Center, especially if you are looking for an outdoor ceremony.

My husband and I are so happy we chose the Hellenic Center for our wedding. We had our heart set on a city wedding in a hotel, but when we found the Hellenic Center, the space blew us away. The open space is so easy to convert into anything you like. Since we went with the open concept we were able to bring in pipe & drape, outside table cloths, and more decorations than we would have elsewhere. The space also allows you many options. We had our ceremony outside, but when the weather started to look iffy, we had a tent brought in. There were so many different plans for the day and ended up being able to use the outside space for our ceremony but also use the tent space (side of the building) for our cocktail hour. The entire property is extremely well kept and beautiful. Tamie is wonderful and very attentive. If anything, you can tell she has done this for many years and the center does many many weddings a year. Sometimes it is difficult to get in contact with Tamie, but she also answered our questions and did everything we needed and more. We are so happy we had our wedding where we did and wouldn't change a thing!

The space is clean and well kept and although the weather did not cooperate for an outdoor cocktail hour, the property still looked beautiful in the rain. They do a great job with the landscaping and fall is a perfect time to be married at the Hellenic Center. We worked with Vinwood Caterers who did a fabulous job, from our first meeting to our final prep call, and made sure the day went very smoothly. The bridal suite is perfect to get ready in and spacious if you also use the groomsmen room for hair and makeup. The Hellenic Center has a very romantic feel with a beautiful bar and chandeliers. There are hardwood floors and the walls are painted neutrally so it is easy to dress-up the space to fit the style of any wedding. We had a large number of quests, a little over 200, a 7 piece band, as well as, food stations and managed to fit comfortably in the space.The only negative aspect of our experience was that it was often difficult to reach the event coordinator, Tamie, via phone or email. This led to multiple follow ups, confusion with our specific wedding day plans and an overbooked final prep meeting. It appeared to me that the Hellenic Center was very understaffed relative to the number of weddings they put on each weekend. Although disappointed in that particular aspect of the process, I would still recommend the Hellenic Center to any bride who is organized and willing to take charge!

There are hardwood floors and the walls are painted neutrally so it is easy to dress-up the space to fit the style of any wedding. We had a large number of quests, a little over 200, a 7 piece band, as well as, food stations and managed to fit comfortably in the space.The only negative aspect of our experience was that it was often difficult to reach the event coordinator, Tamie, via phone or email. This led to multiple follow ups, confusion with our specific wedding day plans and an overbooked final prep meeting. It appeared to me that the Hellenic Center was very understaffed relative to the number of weddings they put on each weekend. Although disappointed in that particular aspect of the process, I would still recommend the Hellenic Center to any bride who is organized and willing to take charge!

Just had my October 9th wedding here and it was amazing!! Unfortunately we had hurricane Matthew rain out what was supposed to be our outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour. I was a little nervous about plan B but Tamie and her staff made the transition to Plan B seamless. Several people spoke to me after the event saying they couldn't believe it was supposed to be outside because everything inside was organized perfectly! Everything looked gorgeous and the transitions from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception were seamless. The setup of guest books etc also had to change but again it was totally stress free and gorgeous thanks to Tamie and the staff! My whole bridal party was also allowed to get into the Hellenic center at 8am to start on hair make up etc all on site which was extremely helpful in the flow of the day! I had the time of my life the day of my wedding and everyone was extremely accomodating making sure myself and my now husband as well as wedding party and guests had food in our bellies and drinks in our hand! I would highly recommend Tamie and the Hellenic Center for your event!

The food provided by Tim Hopkins catering was OUTSANDING and people are still raving about it!! Tamie and Mackenzie were great to work with and they had everything under control the whole day of the wedding. We worried about very little that day. Vinwood Catering was equally wonderful. It makes a big difference when you work with friendly, experienced, genuine individuals which is exactly what you get with the Hellenic Center! They were so helpful when we had questions regarding the day, and they took care of all the small details on the day of the wedding which allowed my family and I to really enjoy the day. We had several meetings leading up to the wedding which allowed us all to get to know each other and made my groom and I feel confident that the day would go smoothly. The Hellenic Center property and ballroom is absolutely gorgeous. Our ceremony was in the back lawn underneath the beautiful oak tree, our cocktail hour on the grassy patio out back, and our reception in the breath-taking ballroom! Everything on our day was timed so perfectly due to Mackenzie and Tamie's experience. The day went off without a hitch...and when you have 200+ guests at your wedding like we did, that is saying a lot. The Hellenic Center also has the best recommendations in local DJs, florists, and other vendors. We were so thankful for their welcomed advice in helping us choose our extremely talented vendors. You absolutely will not find such amazing value in a wedding venue anywhere else. Tamie, the Hellenic Center's wedding coordinator, is heaven-sent. The fact that you get to work directly with her is reason enough to book your wedding there! Her professionalism is top notch, and her personality is wonderful. She is friendly and approachable, extremely knowledgeable, and so, so helpful. My wedding went off without a hitch, and it was, without a doubt, the best day of my life. We cannot thank Tamie, and the Vinwood Catering staff enough for their hard work, dedication and patience over the last year and half. \rIf you choose Vinwood as your caterer (and you should!), I hope you are lucky enough to work directly with Mackenzie. Get married at the Hellenic Center!! This place is wonderful, it is beautiful inside and out. The grounds are immaculate and the inside is recently updated and equally as gorgeous. We chose this location due to the beautiful site and we wanted to get married outside but the inside is just as lovely. Tamie is the event coordinator/site manager and is also wonderful. She guided us through the entire process planning up till the wedding and then on the day of she was on point. She made sure that we were where we needed to be when we needed to be there. She communicates primarily through email (which is fine by me) and responds within 72 hrs. She provided excellent advice and guided us with decision making without any reservations. I would get married there again in a heartbeat.

Get married at the Hellenic Center!! This place is wonderful, it is beautiful inside and out. The grounds are immaculate and the inside is recently updated and equally as gorgeous. We chose this location due to the beautiful site and we wanted to get married outside but the inside is just as lovely. Tamie is the event coordinator/site manager and is also wonderful. She guided us through the entire process planning up till the wedding and then on the day of she was on point. She made sure that we were where we needed to be when we needed to be there. She communicates primarily through email (which is fine by me) and responds within 72 hrs. She provided excellent advice and guided us with decision making without any reservations. I would get married there again in a heartbeat.

My husband and I were married at The Hellenic Center this month and we had such a wonderful experience with Tamie, the event and venue manager, throughout the entire process. She made our special day flow effortlessly, kept us on time, and even helped with some of the setup, which was greatly appreciated. She had wonderful feedback, ideas, and genuinely wanted to make our wedding day special for us. The Hellenic Center is breathtaking in its own right and provides such a classic backdrop for a wedding or any event. We could not have been happier!

Our reception at the Hellenic Center was perfect- large in part to Tamie and her wonderful staff! We had our cocktail hour outdoors, and the way they have decorated the space is simply gorgeous! The trees and bushes have lights and lanterns which, along with the archway and gazebo, make for some beautiful pictures. We had decided to do a number of DIY decorating projects for inside the venue, and Tamie and her team set everything up and made it better than we could have imagined! Every detail was spot on and every part of our wedding was executed perfectly. We couldn't be happier with our selection of the Hellenic Center! And our guests have not stopped raving about the space! Thank you, Tamie!

OMG my wedding was STUNNING. The venue was everything-- private, secluded, serene, romantic, and MAGICAL. I love all the nature and greenery, as well as the outdoor patio lights strung around tree branches and along the roof of the estate. There were also outdoor chandeliers that made the venue look like a page out of a story book. Every corner was a photo op (Bharat Palmer Photography)! There is so much attention to detail that Tamie Rodolosi puts in to create the fairy tale ambiance. It truly is a DREAM VENUE and Wedding planning team for any event. \r\rI love that the venue is SO CLOSE to Gloucester. You can just sneak away at the end of the night to your cozy oceanfront hotel (Gloucester Inn By The Sea). My ceremony was held in their outdoor space on a quaint lawn. There was a giant wooden arbor with crystals and roses (Pepperberry's Flowers) where we happily said our vows. It was such a picture perfect scene. The cocktail hour was outside, signature cocktails (created by my husband and I), 2 sushi rollers, array of passed Hors d'oeuvre (Vinwood caterers) and a kick ass cigar bar for the guys. Reception was held in their indoor ballroom. The reception area was gorgeous-- beautiful fireplaces, grand piano, brand new contemporary bar, immaculate vintage restrooms, 3 sets of French doors leading to the wrap around deck with heated lamps, hardwood floors thru out --basically an enchanting estate in the woods. The service was phenomenal and all the staff (Vinwood Caterers) were friendly and helpful. The event coordinators (Tamie Rodolosi her asst Mackenie Grenert and Danielle Maccini were all super on top of everything--making sure that the entire wedding ran seamlessly and perfectly without any hiccups.

My husband and I searched for months trying to find the best place to have our September wedding. After looking at dozens of places online and a handful in person we came across the Hellenic Center. My mother had heard great reviews and they were nothing short of the truth. The grounds were amazing, the staff was so personable and our guests haven't stopped talking about it! We married on a beautiful 70 degree day on 9/26/14 with the ceremony in front of the gazebo (the first one's to do so!) and then had the cocktail hour in the middle section with the reception inside under the sparkling chandeliers. I will be recommending the Hellenic Center for years to come- Any bride would be lucky to be married here!!

We absolutely loved having our wedding at the Hellenic Center. Right when we pulled into the driveway we knew we had to get married here. The wedding coordinator Tamie and Mackenzie are awesome. There are so many options on the grounds to choose where you want to get married. We decided on the oak tree because we loved having our cocktail hour in the big grass area. The venue itself has beautiful hardwood floors and it is basically a clean slate and you are able to design the floor plan and bring in all the decorations you want. I loved this the most because I was able to make our wedding exactly how I wanted. I have had so many compliments on our weddding and people saying the wedding was \"me\". I highly reccommend brides check out this venue because you can make it as special as you are.

We had our reception at the Hellenic Center in August. It was absolutely beautiful and so many of our guests have not stopped talking about it! It's kind of a hidden gem and not many people know about it. It is the perfect location for a Wedding in the North shore area. The grounds are spectacular. The best part of the experience was working with the coordinator, Tamie. She was amazing! You need someone who you can instantly trust and know she will be there to make your big day special. From the moment you meet her and then throughout the whole process, she was amazing. We had a great time and we highly recommend them!

Although the catering options are limited, going with Vinwood Catering is the smart choice because these vendors work so seamlessly together. Tamie was fantastic on the day of and took care of everything very professionally. Calling is a little better than emailing if you want to get in touch with the staff.

Tamie, the wedding coordinator, was a major factor to us choosing this location. She was professional and on point throughout the planning process. She knows exactly how to run a wedding and we were not disappointed with our decision. The Hellenic Center was the perfect location for us as we held the ceremony and cocktail hour outside on the lawn and the reception in the ballroom. Even the bridal suite and grooms suite were just right! \rAs for price, we decided a Friday night wedding was best for us which brought the room rental down a bit and the cost compared to other venues in the area was right in our budget. It was an amazing value considering the team that comes along with it! My husband and I could not be happier with our day.

I had my wedding reception at the Hellenic Center in June 2013. The main reason I chose this location is the beauty of the venue (because it IS very pretty) but also because I got a great feeling from the on-site wedding coordinator. Unfortunately when it came down to the details I was not left 100% satisfied. In the days before the event I dropped off set up details (guest gifts, place cards, table numbers etc.) and also a detailed table chart. Day of... many of the details were overlooked, ie. candles were placed where they weren't supposed to be etc., but most of all the table numbers and positioning wasn't right. While these details seem small, when you have planned your wedding for over a year it is hard to see things not turn out exactly how you were hoping. The wedding coordinator on-site did a great job day of, but a bartender ended up being sick and she had to take over behind the bar at one point. Not her fault, but wish it could have been remedied another way.\rThat said, while the small details did disappoint me, I WOULD recommend the Hellenic Center. The site is gorgeous, and if you catch the staff on their best day I am sure it makes the site even better. The wedding coordinator is very sweet and does a great job. Overall my day was wonderful and it was only small details. If you are a detail person like me... send a trusted family member or friend (or better yourself) over before to make sure it's perfect.

The Hellenic Center in Ipswich, MA is a beautiful venue to have a wedding. Tamie and the staff did an amazing job in making sure that our guests were well taken care of. We are absolutely thrilled to have had our wedding at the Hellenic Center! When we visited the property (after finding an ad for it in the back of TheKnot's magazine), we knew it was our venue. We loved the lawns and all of the greenery outside, and immediately could picture our guests enjoying an outdoor cocktail hour off the back porch. The inside was beautiful, too, made even more so by Tamie's improvements over the summer. The new bar is gorgeous and elegant, and the floor, deck, and chairs were redone so that everything looked great on our big day. Tamie is fantastic, and has so much great advice and insight that she's willing to share with you! She's also super flexible, and even agreed to come early on the day of our wedding (and to get ready there instead of at home!) so that we could get in to have our hair and makeup done upstairs! She does get really busy, so it make take a few days to hear back from her, but she will always come through and answer all of your questions and address your concerns. On the day of our wedding she was very organized and made sure everyone knew exactly where they were supposed to be. Having her there definitely put us at ease! We did an open bar through the Hellenic Center which went very smoothly. The only hiccup in our night was at the end - we had previously discussed being able to come get our decorations, etc. the next day, but that night Tamie let us know that because the next day was a holiday the Hellenic Center wasn't going to be open, so we needed to pack up everything and load it onto the bus that night. With help from all of our friends and family (and Tamie and the staff!) we were able to get everything into cars and the buses, but it would have been nice to have a different plan ahead of time. It worked out with everyone's help, however, and other than that our day and night were absolutely perfect. I would absolutely recommend the Hellenic Center to another bride, and cannot thank Tamie enough for all of her help leading up to and on our big day.

The only hiccup in our night was at the end - we had previously discussed being able to come get our decorations, etc. the next day, but that night Tamie let us know that because the next day was a holiday the Hellenic Center wasn't going to be open, so we needed to pack up everything and load it onto the bus that night. With help from all of our friends and family (and Tamie and the staff!) we were able to get everything into cars and the buses, but it would have been nice to have a different plan ahead of time. It worked out with everyone's help, however, and other than that our day and night were absolutely perfect. I would absolutely recommend the Hellenic Center to another bride, and cannot thank Tamie enough for all of her help leading up to and on our big day.

I had my wedding at the Hellenic Center on June 15, 2013 and I could not be happier with my experience. The wedding coordinator, Tamie, really knows what she's doing and she was meticulous in overseeing every detail. From the very beginning of my wedding planning experience, Tamie was extremely helpful and responsive. She is also a very sweet person and was so easy to work with. I went with Vinwood Caterers and together they were a great team to work with. The execution of the event was flawless. There were a couple of issues that popped up (someone fainted at the cocktail reception, for example) and Tamie and the Vinwood staff handled it all with grace and incredible professionalism. \r\rRegarding the actual Hellenic Center, I think this is the perfect spot for understated elegance. I wanted to host my wedding at a place that felt like a historic, warm and elegant New England home and that is exactly what I got. My wedding motif was romantic classic with a bit of a vintage feel and the Hellenic Center was the perfect venue to capture this. I also had a multicultural wedding and both the Hellenic Center and Vinwood were fantastic at meeting all our special cultural requests. All my guests were in awe of how beautiful the estate and grounds were. Because the Hellenic Center was recently renovated and updated, it is so classically beautiful that you really don't even need a lot of decorations. I didn't do uplighting or over the top centerpieces. I just stuck with the chandelier lighting, candles and medium rose centerpieces and it looked absolutely gorgeous. Also, since Vinwood provides floral pieces for the the stations and bar, the place looked extra beautiful. The service provided by both Hellenic and Vinwood was exceptional - very professional, timely and smooth. Also, Tamie threw is a few extra goodies for us (e.g. wine service during dinner) at no extra cost, which really gave a special touch. Finally, the value was really great for such fantastic service, beautiful grounds and a gorgeous estate!

I was thrilled to find The Hellenic Center when looking for a venue for my wedding. I always wanted to have my wedding in an estate setting and The Hellenic Center was exactly what I had always pictured. My husband and I loved the old character and privacy of the estate. The back lawn was so lush and green for our May wedding so it made for a gorgeous backdrop for our ceremony. We had a lovely cocktail hour in the courtyard area below the back deck and our reception inside in the ballroom. Looking back at our pictures, the room looked so gorgeous with the fireplaces lit and the glowing chandeliers. The bridal suite upstairs is beautiful with it's antique furniture- our photographer got some amazing pictures of us in that room. Tammie was wonderful to work with- very calm and professional through our entire planning process. She was accommodating and made great suggestions. And compared to the prices of other venues in the area, The Hellenic Center was very reasonable. I couldn't have asked for a better venue.

My husband, our family, friends, and myself can not say enough great things about our June wedding at The Hellenic Center! Everything went perfectly and exactly as I had imagined it! Tammie, the wedding coordinator, is so amazing at her job. She guided us through every step and was more than happy to take several phone calls from me in the weeks approaching my wedding. The day of our wedding was a heat wave and Tammie was outside with my bridesmaid sweating her buns off to make sure that everything was in place for me. All her vendor recommendations were above and beyond what I thought possible. (Adriano Batti, photographer, Extreme Productions, DJ, and Vinwood Caterers). Tammie went out of her way to make sure that my handicapped Mom was able to feel comfortable and allowed us to use her office if my Mom needed and nursing care while she was at the wedding. This is truly the hidden gem when it comes to weddings on the north shore! I just wish I could do it all over again.....without changing a thing! Except maybe be more aware of my fake eyelashes and not pull one off right before walking down the aisle! Oh, and I would remember to wear my veil too! Besides that, it was perfection!

We were married under an Oak Tree behind the house, had the cocktail hour on the manicured lawn near the house, and had the reception inside in air the conditioning. The reception area is great because it's a big room with beautiful hardwood floors, white walls, and chandlers, so it very easily fits into any wedding theme. We had a sort of rustic, summer picnic theme and it worked perfectly. Tamie, the event planner, was very accommodating to whatever we requested and was such a big help on the wedding day! \r\rBesides the heat, which was uncontrollable, everything was picture perfect. We had the wedding on a Friday evening so it was less than the normal Saturday rate, which saved a bit of money. But compared to other local venues, you definitely get the most bang for your buck at the Hellenic Center. The only reason, I give it four stars instead of 5 is because they are a bit short staffed on the administrative side so sometimes correspondence was slower than I would have liked. Also, the electricity for the band blew during the reception which caused a 5 minute or so laps in the dancing which was a bit of a bummer. But, these small things were miniscule in comparison to what a fantastic experience we had at the Hellenic Center! I would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a venue with beautiful grounds!

We LOVED the Hellenic Center for our May wedding. It was absolutely gorgeous and Tamie, the wedding coordinator, was a rockstar. She was so sweet and caring from the very beginning, making sure that our wedding day/night was one to remember and it was! The venue is so beautiful both on the outside and inside. We used Vinwood Caterers for the food, which we had already been to about 5 weddings the year before that used them, the food is really the best wedding food I have ever had. We had people commenting all night and the next day on how great the food was as well as how beautiful the venue was - it was picture perfect! It could not have been more perfect and we recommend this to anyone who is looking for a romantic, yet simple, place to get married!

We LOVED the Hellenic Center for our May wedding. It was absolutely gorgeous and Tamie, the wedding coordinator, was a rockstar. The Hellenic Center was the perfect setting for our fall wedding. We had only visited 1 other venue before the Hellenic Center and upon first walk-through we knew that was the right place for us. The venue charge is very reasonable and fit our budget perfectly. The mansion is meticulously maintained and beautifully landscaped. Their wedding coordinator is very professional and helpful - it was a pleasure working with her. She made my vision a reality and their attention to detail is unparralleled. We received numerous compliments on their service and on the overall look and feel of the venue!
