Not only was The High Five the most beautiful venue but the staff was absolutely amazing. We worked with Hanna and she was so helpful and made sure our day ran smoothly. The team communicated with us very well, was available to answer any of our questions even months before the wedding. I can not recommend The High Five and their staff enough. Our wedding day was perfect!

I’ve been hesitant to give my honest feedback. We had the gold package- the most expensive, top of the line offering from the high five where the 5th floor is flipped during cocktail hour to convert the ceremony space to the reception. Their team and team of preferred vendors was unable to do so in the scheduled hour. It turned into nearly 2 hours. Fingers were pointed at all different parties, including toward my day of coordinator, who had never worked an event in this space. Being the “experts” of the flip and sellers of the package, the high five should have taken charge to move things along with all vendors involved. Instead, it became an unnecessary battle in the weeks following my wedding. This delay caused extra, hourly costs to have photography and videography coverage of the rest of the evening’s events. While I thought the situation would be salvaged by the high five absorbing this cost with kangaroo kitchen, I had to follow up to have the check (which included the security deposit ) sent. Over a month later. I really wanted to leave a positive review saying they ended up rectifying the situation, but unfortunately it had to require follow up to chase down this money.

She kept the entire day on track and was so fun to work with. The space itself is absolutely beautiful with such a pretty view of the city. The bridal suite was perfect to get ready in with lots of seating options, mirrors, and great lighting. I would highly recommend the high five as a wedding venue!!

We lost 2,500 dollars on a deposit at another venue just so we could go with The High Five, thats how spectacular they are. The other venue (Black River Barn South Haven) told us no to everything, was not willing to help us out in any way, and just overall seemed like the day would not go as smoothly. With The High Five they include day of coordinating that was extremely helpful, any request we had they met us with a compromise and/or a flat out YES, they really did go out of their way to make sure that everything was going to be exactly the way we wanted it. They are very responsive with emails and were willing to let us visit the venue or stop by if we needed to look at something/measure anything. They were SOOOO kind and had a GREAT ATTITUDE which was super appreciated during a very stressful time. In terms of the venues beauty, you just have to see it for yourself. Everyone loved our venue and said it was one of the most if not the most beautiful weddings. End of story: BOOK THE HIGH FIVE!!! :)

This venue is beautiful! Our guest were blown away. The staff was so professional, attentive and on the top of their game! The High Five knows what they are doing, the venue has multiple floors, we had the ceremony on one and the reception on another, there is a freight elevator for vendors, a storage unit so you can pick up your stuff the day after. The cost of the venue includes tables, chairs and a staff of people doing everything including a floor plan, day of coordinator etc.. I just can’t say enough!

This venue is beautiful! Our guest were blown away. The staff was so professional, attentive and on the top of their game! Their high ceilings, exposed brick, wooden floors, and beautiful chandeliers presented the most beautiful setting for a night to remember. The staff there were so helpful throughout the entire process, especially Paige, who worked with us to help our vision come to life. They coordinated with all of our vendors, and the day went so smoothly. Only marking it as a 4/5 because there were a few additional costs up front for the different packages for things like bubble lights, or the portable bar -- but understand it's a business. Just want to be transparent for future couples!

Oh my, how I loved this venue. The High Five is BEAUTIFUL, every detail is flawless from the rugs in the foyer to the bathrooms to the chandeliers!! It truly requires very little decorating because it's so beautiful on its own. I loved the ability to use 2 different floors/rooms as creative freedom to design the event to be an experience. The windows and lighting in the space makes for phenomenal photos. Beyond the venue being flawless, the staff were very helpful and kind. They answered all my emails of questions, took measurements, sent pictures, etc., throughout all the months prior to my event. The week of our wedding, my fiance got covid and we had to reschedule just days before the event. They were very understanding and helped us reschedule to a new date without any issues. The High Five was the best decision we could have made!

When we first started looking for venues Leslie was incredibly helpful and responsive, but once we were completely paid and started asking about how Covid would affect us they became much less prompt. Moreover, when it became clear we weren't able to have the wedding we paid for the high five was unapologetically rude and unhelpful. You can tell a company's true character when they don't need anything from you, and as soon as the High Five had our money, it became abundantly clear they are not as kind and helpful as they would like to portray themselves as. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere for a wedding venue.

We planned to get married in May 2020 at the High Five, but obviously COVID had other plans. Even though our day hasnt happened yet, I want to give the High Five the biggest shout out for being so amazing during this entire process. Leslie and Marija have been kind and accommodating each time we have reached out. I know more than ever now that we made the right choice to have our wedding here, whenever that happens! They answer promptly and are always available to talk through our ever changing plans. I cant tell you what a weight has been lifted off our shoulders being able to rely on them through all of this. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We may not know if or when our day can finally happen but I can't wait to celebrate it at The High Five when it comes!

Beautiful! The venue was absolutely perfect! We had our wedding ceremony and reception here March 7 and the day could not have gone any better. Leslie and her team were very professional and accommodating throughout the wedding planning process. On the day of they took care of everything so we could just focus on the day, which was so reassuring! Everything went so smoothly, we could not be happier with how the day went! Definitely a stand out venue in town!

Beautiful! The venue was absolutely perfect! We had our wedding ceremony and reception here March 7 and the day could not have gone any better. There is so much I want to say about my incredibly FLAWLESS and MAGICAL experience. So, I will break it into sections:THE STAFF: The most wonderful people you will work with. Without a question, this staff is beyond words when it comes to how perfect they are. They are professional, EXTREMELY communicative (no email took more than a few hours to get a response), and SO SWEET,. They went above and beyond to make my day so perfect. And is absolutely was. They even went as far as drying off my dress with hand towels after taking photos outside in a winter storm. I mean, COME ON! WHO DOES THAT? They were so kind to my family and friends. Ashley, Amy, Leslie, Marija, THANK YOUUUUUUUUUUU. THE VENUE: Stunning. Unmatched to anything you will find in Grand Rapids. Even without your wedding decorations, the beauty of this building speaks for itself. Every window holds an amazing view of Grand Rapids. SUMMARY: All in all, there is absolutely no regrets when it comes to chosing this place to have my wedding. They were perfect. They were everything and more. I will always remember THEM! I wanna plan another wedding just so I can work with them again. I would trust them with my life. lol

We had our ceremony and reception at The High Five and we truly couldn’t have asked for a better venue! The whole team was so easy to work with and we were able to rest knowing that every detail was taken care of. The day of our wedding, all of our guests were wowed by the ceremony space and the reception space and everything flowed so smoothly. I’m so glad we found this space and can’t thank Marija and Leslie enough for helping make our wedding everything we’d hoped for!

I think this is the absolute perfect space and the staff is great to work with! It is on the fifth floor of a building in the heart of downtown Grand Rapids and has the original hardwood floors, brick walls, high ceilings with Restoration Hardware lighting and chandeliers, a built in bar, and incredibly clean and up to date bathrooms. They just redid the fourth floor and we were the first wedding that it was ready for and The High Five really did an amazing job with it. Unfortunately the bridal suite wasn't ready yet but that didn't affect our day at all because I had already planned for us to get ready at a salon off-site. I think now that the bridal suite is ready and the fourth floor is renovated, this is the most beautiful venue in Grand Rapids, hands down. Leslie and Marija were so kind and helpful with all of the planning. They really help you coordinate with their preferred vendors to make sure everything is set up and organized for the day of. I really felt very little stress for coordinating with the vendors because I could just tell Leslie had a handle on it! We received so many compliments about the venue and I feel so blessed to have been one of the first to discover this beautiful venue! Thank you, The High Five! We truly had the best day ever!

We had our wedding reception at The High Five and it was easily one of the top 3 best decisions we made for our day. The venue itself is stunning. The exposed brick, chandeliers, wood floors, beautiful bathrooms (really though!), tables and chairs, open concept, beautiful city views, etc. Everything is beautifully placed and has been redone to perfection. We ended up having a crew of just under 250 guests and everyone fit perfectly with PLENTY of space to move around and have areas to chat. We received SO many compliments about the staff and the venue. One really nice thing about it is that because it's so elegant and has a feeling of it's own, you really don't have to put hardly any decoration in there to make it your own. All we had was our centerpieces and a few things here and there and the place looked gorgeous!! The staff is amazing. From the get-go they are available for any questions and suggestions. Very responsive and professional. My only advice to brides who are wondering about a venue is go there in person and look at it. Talk to the individuals who run it and get the feel of what it will be like that day. From the moment we walked in, every other venue went right out of my mind and I said \"this is it!\". It's a venue you don't have to do a ton too to make it your own or look how you envisioned it. Talking to them I felt comfortable and confident that this is where we want to be. We had a really fun floor plan playing with round and long/rectangle tables. Everything was placed for ease of access and flowed very nicely. They do require you to choose from their verified cater list. Some see that as a negative but I am here to tell you it was a major blessing. We chose Maddelena's and they were stellar! Food was amazing and their coordinator is hands down one of the best people to work with for all of your food and bar needs. The venue and caters are more than happy to work with you and your vision. Ours came together with ease. If you are browsing around websites like this and are wondering about venues that may be right for you look no further. Go visit them and let them help make your dream day come true. I recommend this venue to everyone! Our day was incredible filled with love and joy spent with the people we care about most. I am forever grateful it was spent in The High Five. Some of our best memories will be held in that place and I could never thank them enough!

Having my wedding at The High Five was magical! Everything really came together perfectly. I received so many compliments on the space--It's that perfect combination of rustic and chic/elegant. Marija and Leslie were a pleasure to work with and an immense help! Also, there were awesome food/bar caterer options you could choose from and they were super flexible on décor. You really couldn't tell it was a new venue with how professionally everything was handled and executed. I definitely recommend The High Five!

The management was very responsive and attentive to our requests and the room was prepared perfectly, just as we requested. It was wonderful to have all new top notch, tables, chairs, AV equipment, restrooms, etc. in this new urban chic venue.

We had our wedding at Hi-Five this past October and it was the perfect place for an indoor wedding reception! The venue is warm, elegant, charming, but also modern. Our ceremony was at the church across the street so it was the perfect location for us. The venue space is just beautiful with exposed brick walls, wooden floors, big windows overlooking Grand Rapids, and stunning chandeliers. The venue space maintains its character as an old roller rink but is also very polished. It was perfect!!The staff at Hi-Five provided everything we needed for the day to go smoothly. Communication was clear and easy in the days leading up to our wedding, and they really went above and beyond to make sure everything went according to plan - coordinating with the caterer, florist, and other vendors as well as setting up decorations and creating a floor plan. We used the fourth floor for our cocktail hour and fifth floor for our reception at Hi-Five. It was great to have a still beautiful and simple place for guests to gather for a drink and hors doeuvres on the fourth floor before heading upstairs. We could not have asked for a better staff, location, city, or venue for our wedding. My husband and I are so thankful for the hard work Hi-Five put into making our day so special and memorable!!
