The management of this rustic property invites you to make it the setting for your wedding and a truly unforgettable day. Originally, the facility on these premises was the clubhouse for Ferguson Farms Golf Course. This course closed in 2012, leaving the building abandoned. The management team of what would become the current venue found this building after they started looking in 2016. The natural beauty and abundant wildlife of the area inspired them to make this the site of their project. Now, the property includes their bee hives, hence the name. The Hive at Sandy Creek features both indoor and outdoor spaces to host your special gathering. These include The Hive Main Hall, Keeper's Bistro and Bar area, and Dave's Big 2,400 square foot Barn. The property can host up to 150 guests in total for your celebration. The premises have wheelchair accessibility and paved parking spaces for around 75 cars. The Hive at Sandy Creek hosts religious and non-religious wedding ceremonies as well as interfaith and civil unions. This locale also accommodates elopements, commitment ceremonies, second weddings, and vow renewal ceremonies. The staff includes an on-site Venue Host who will assist during the entirety of your celebration. You may also make the property the backdrop for your engagement and bridal portraiture sessions. The team strongly encourages the services of an event planner or a day-of coordinator to make your day flow more seamlessly.

My wife and I were married at the Hive, and we feel so lucky to have found such a great venue. The property, buildings and decor are beautiful, rustic and stylish, and the bee theme is very cute. Hundreds of acres of rolling farmland hills, tall trees, a pond, and more. The owner Anne and her coordinator Rose were incredibly helpful, responsive and professional, and helped us with planning at every step. They went above and beyond what many venues would do. We could not recommend The Hive more!

I attended a friend's wedding here and would schedule recommend it to anyone looking for a venue near the Triangle. At every step, the team went above and beyond to make the experience as seamless as possible for the bride and groom. Anne and Rose were particularly helpful!

Meet the The Hive at Sandy Creek Team
Anne Casey (Owner) Why get into the wedding venue business? For me, there are a couple reasons but I would say the most important is that we have a daughter with autism and wanted to create an opportunity for her to have meaningful employment and social interaction. We immediately recognized the possibility of this when we purchased our property that had been a golf course with a clubhouse. We have spent the last couple years renovating and building to achieve this vision. The Hive at Sandy Creek is a labor of love for our daughter. My hope and dream is for The Hive to be buzzing with others like our daughter.
