For 5 years, this remarkable property has been setting the bar for timeless, rustic events in a charming, quintessential Maine farm setting. The serene and beautifully landscaped grounds offer an intimate setting to host your event. Located in the 4 season destination area of The Southwestern Maines Lakes & Mnts Region, (Waterford), the custom-designed gardens and 19 acres of fields provide an enchanting setting for your celebration. The detached horse barn and farmhouse have been meticulously restored and renovated to capture Maine's charm while simultaneously offering modern amenities to facilitate flawless events. Weddings include use of the entire property, including overnight accommodations in the farmhouse for up to 23 guests across 7 bedrooms & 3,300 sq ft of chic farmhouse for your weekend event. Couples typically host their ceremony and reception on site, as well as rehearsal dinner & day after brunch. Our wedding couples consistently share that they are able to make themselves totally at home with family and friends allowing them to truly soak up all of the "little moments" around the weekend & big day. From a morning hike or yoga in the barn to late night with smores around the fire pit with their closest friends/family. Given our proximity to the Lakes, Mnts, Oxford Casino, Oxford Beer Garden & Portland, our couples love what the area has to offer (restaurants, hotels, and rental homes for guests) with the natural beauty and privacy of this remarkable property. This past weekend we got married at the hive in Waterford. Over the past year Eric has been a sounding board answering any and all questions, and meeting with us several times to check out the property together and with our families prior to the wedding. Each time we visited there were upgrades - additional flower locations, easier walk ways out of the barn to the ceremony, and overall. Not to mention he had maintenance mow the lawn a day before the wedding and then weed whack the morning of the wedding. Just so amazing. The hive in Waterford had several positives for us - the space for all our wedding party to spend the night without driving home, the barn that held our 100 guests, multiple stalls for our bar, photo booth, and gift area. The venue also had several places to take photos for us and our family and friends. You cannot beat the price, and to have such a lovely and accommodating host was something special. I feel so compelled to write a glowing review for Eric. We used both the hive in Waterford and trail side at Shawnee peak for our close family to stay. They had a lovely time and it all went really well!! Thank you so much Eric
