The Hobson is an elegant wedding and event venue located in downtown Kokomo, IN. Blending vintage glamor with contemporary elegance, this stylish space is one of Indiana's premier event venues. The Hobson is located in the former City Building, a stunning Richardsonian Romanesque-style building constructed in 1893. It has since undergone a thorough renovation, bringing the space into the 21st century while retaining its historic charm. Begin your day in the luxurious get-ready suites, perfect for relaxing and preparing for the celebrations with your wedding party. One suite features a breathtaking Swarovski crystal chandelier, a three-person vanity, and a floor-to-ceiling mirror, while the other offers dark leather furniture and a large TV. When the preparations are complete, you can exchange vows in a romantic outdoor ceremony on the private pergola. Another event space is the beautiful two-story ballroom, which accommodates up to 175 guests. An elegant bar connects the ballroom to the lounge area, which boasts gorgeous vintage-inspired decor including William Morris wallpaper and striking brass fixtures. To ensure your big day runs flawlessly, The Hobson offers day-of coordination services with every package. In advance of your event, their dedicated team will work with you one-to-one to coordinate every detail and execute your vision to perfection. You'll be able to simply relax and enjoy the experience while they bring your dream day to life. Setup and cleanup will be taken care of, and all necessary tables, chairs, glassware, and linens will be provided. The Hobson was everything we dreamed of for our wedding day!! Not only was their venue beautiful, but their staff was also absolutely amazing to work with and made the planning process very easy. They have wedding days down to a science at the Hobson, and everything flowed smoothly from the first planning meeting to the cleanup at the end of the night. We had the pleasure of working with Stephanie as our wedding coordinator, and I cannot stress enough how helpful she was in answering all our questions. If I could give this venue 10 /5 stars, I would!!!

They were beyond absolute perfection! I'm usually filled with anxiety and wanting to make sure everything is going as it needs to be, but they had everything down to a science that I didn't even remember to think about the timeline. They handled everything from making sure the party favors and gift tables were set up the way we wanted them to be, the tables and centerpieces flipped after the ceremony, and even made sure that we had drinks and appetizers from cocktail hour set at our head table for us since we had photos to take! I can't recommend and praise this place and their staff enough.Even with having to postpone due to Covid, everything worked out perfectly, they kept the original pricing, kept in contact, and made sure they had everything set up exactly how we liked it (and incorporated our pups with menu decorations!). They are so on top of everything I just can't get over how impressed I am with their management and keeping things moving. If you don't go with these guys, I feel like you're missing out, it's just such a spectacular experience.

Stephanie Stover (Manager) Hello! I have been a part of The Hobson family since my start in early 2019 as an Event Host. I have since held many roles within the company, including Event Coordinator and Assistant Director of Events. I am so excited to continue my journey at The Hobson, and honored to have a part in this gorgeous venue remaining open! I love all of my couples, and the best part of my job is getting to help them achieve their perfect day! When I’m not at The Hobson, you can find me cheering on Jace at one of his many sporting events, or curled up somewhere with a book and a giant cup of coffee!
