The staff at the Hollins House made every step of the process fun and exciting. My wife and I had an incredible experience that exceeded any and all of our expectations. The venue speaks for itself, but the food, service, and atmosphere match it step for step. If you’re looking the absolute most picturesque and perfect wedding you could ever imagine, I would highly recommend considering the Hollins House.

The venue speaks for itself, but the food, service, and atmosphere match it step for step. I cannot stress enough, just how amazing the Hollins House was to work with. From the moment we booked our first tour to the moment our wedding ended, the Hollins House took incredible care of us. I had about 9 months to plan my wedding and found the Hollins House highly recommended on The Knot and on Yelp. Being able to easily book a tour online was already a win and then I got a follow up email from Giselle with more info to help prep us for our tour and that immediately impressed me too.Our first tour was amazing! Giselle walked us through everything, answering our many questions and provided us a quote at the end of our tour. We absolutely fell in love with the scenic views and the romantic landscape. Just to help solidify our gut feelings, we attempted to tour 2 other venues but they never responded back to us, which just reaffirmed that Hollins was the perfect place for our wedding. Once I reached out to Giselle and confirmed that we'd like to move forward, she diligently went to work providing me next steps, a vendor list and tentative budget breakdown. I cannot express how VALUABLE their vendor list was! I booked 3 out of 4 of my vendors from their list (Cake, Flowers & DJ) and they all did amazing. I'm a huge review seeker and had high expectations when it came to the communication turn around time with my vendors and am so thrilled with how well each vendor responded throughout the wedding planning process. I also have to point out something that I hadn't though of until booking vendors, but it's pretty helpful when your vendors have worked at the venue before and know the general layout of the space as well as timing for drop off/clean up on day of. So being able to reference these certified vendors instead of working from scratch with google searches saved me so much time and stress! I was diligent on my vendor bookings that I had 3 of the vendors booked within the first 2 months of planning my wedding and that wouldn't have been possible without the Hollin's vendor list. Now onto Giselle & Bella. I don't even know where to begin describing just how absolutely amazing each of these coordinators were to work with. I'm desperate to find some other event to plan at Hollins just so I have an excuse to work with them again. Being a bride and having to oversee so many details at once is insane already, so when you have venue coordinators who genuinely care and are willing to answer your many emails, entertain multiple visits and pivot for last minute requests, it is truly something invaluable. I want to give such a huge shout to them both because without them, I'm confident that my wedding day wouldn't have been nearly as magical. Hollins was already offering such beauty in every corner, but Giselle & Bella are undoubtedly the people that make Hollins the perfect place to get married. When I got engaged, I honestly didn't really know what I was looking for in a venue but now being on the other side of getting married, I cannot imagine having had my wedding day at any other place. When you can partner with a venue who have incredible coordinators that go to such lengths in order to ensure things go perfectly, I don't know how a bride could ask for any more!...Except maybe a time machine so I can go back and relive the perfect day!

We found Hollins House through The Knot and fell in love with it when we toured. After that, we compared every venue we toured to Hollins, and took a second tour before finally committing to it. We are so glad we chose Hollins House for our wedding venue! We loved the look of the space, from the elegant ballroom to the breathtaking view. The space was large enough without feeling empty with a smaller party. We also loved the flow of the space for our ceremony and reception. No trapsing back and forth through multiple floors or side of the space, just a simple counterclockwise flow throughout the event. Giselle, the venue's coordinator, was amazing. She knows her stuff and was super helpful throughout the entire process. When we came to the rehearsal, she directed everything perfectly and made me feel even more confident that I was in good hands for my wedding day. On the day of, she made everything super easy for me and kept everything moving along without a (visible) hitch. For example, I found out the next day that our best man forgot the rings at the hotel (thankfully only minutes away!) and had to run and get them right before we started the ceremony. Giselle sheltered my (bride's) side from that info, which I'm very grateful for because I definitely would have panicked. Instead I felt calm knowing everything was under the control of Giselle's capable leadership. Our guests have been raving ever since the big day about how perfect everything was. We've been told by many of our parent's generation that we have set the bar way too high for the others in our generation and that no one will be able to compete with our wedding (we are both the oldest kids of our families and 1st to marry). The perfection and magic of our wedding was, in a large part, due to Hollins House, Giselle, and the rest of its staff. The food and drinks were so delicious and well made. The service from the staff was exceptional.I honestly can't say enough great things, and there isn't anything that I can say needs improvement or was a negative. We are both so happy with Hollins House and would highly recommend them for anyone hosting a wedding or event and looking for this style of venue.

We had our dream wedding here. Giselle & team were so wonderful to work with, and really help your day to run flawlessly. The venue itself is lovely and so well manicured. You get the entire property to you and your guests for the day which is rare and really something we really valued. They were also able to easily accommodate our dietary requests, and made an absolutely delicious meal. We got SO many compliments on the food, the views, and how perfect everything was. I highly recommend checking out Hollins House :)

We had our dream wedding here. Giselle & team were so wonderful to work with, and really help your day to run flawlessly. The venue itself is lovely and so well manicured. You get the entire property to you and your guests for the day which is rare and really something we really valued. Giselle and Lindsay did a wonderful job taking care of us on our wedding weekend! From the minute we walked in for our rehearsal to when we left at the end of our wedding day, everything went smoothly. The Hollins House team took care of set up and tear down, and had our boxes ready to go at the end of the event. I had no concerns that her and the team would work hard to make the day perfect- and it ended up being better than I could have imagined! The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous, and with the right photographer (we used the amazing Mama T), your photos will blow everyone away!! The food at the venue was delicious. We chose chicken and salmon, with artichokes and mashed potatoes. Our guests were blown away that the venue provided food of that scale. At the end of the day- the day was more than I ever dreamed it could be. And that was solely due to the professionalism of the staff and the beauty of Hollins House

My husband and I had our wedding at the Hollins House, and it was above and beyond anything we could have imagined. We started planning the wedding is Jan of 2021, and we had no idea what we would be able to do (guest count, inside/outside, masks, etc) due to Covid. Carter, Quinlynn, and Hannah were so easy to work with, professional, patient, and updated us in real time as state and county regulations changed due to Covid.I honestly can't express how amazing these women are, and what an exceptional job they do. Everything was a yes, or let's figure out a way to make it happen. They were so calm and cheerful every step of the way. I must have sent them a million emails with every question that came into my mind, and they quickly got back to me every time. This allowed for such piece of mind as I was planning a wedding from down in San Diego during Covid. Carter and her team handled everything. The day of we showed up and everything was just perfect.The venue itself in unreal gorgeous. Our guests were blown away by the views, the trees, and just how perfect every detail of the venue is. The FOOD!! I can't tell you how many guests said it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding. The staff was also so wonderful the entire wedding.I can not recommend The Hollins House and their team more!!!

We can't thank Carter, Quinlynn and the rest of the amazing Hollins House staff enough! Everything was just perfect and ran so smoothly. Carter was patient, calm, warm and professional. We were originally supposed to get married in September of 2020, which obviously wasn't possible and the Hollins House team was so kind and accommodating. Carter even helped us navigate the reimposed mask mandate just a week before our wedding. We loved the food, the space, the decor and so much more - we can't recommend the Hollins House enough!

Planning a wedding during Covid was stressful but Carter made everything so much easier. She put us at ease and helped us plan the wedding of our dreams. Planning a wedding during Covid was stressful but Carter made everything so much easier. She put us at ease and helped us plan the wedding of our dreams. We cannot begin to express how grateful and lucky we are to have had our wedding at The Hollins House. From the very beginning, Carter was amazing. She is incredibly professional and personable, and was always available when we had any questions. Especially during COVID, she continued to support us unconditionally, encouraging us to make decisions based on what we truly wanted. As gorgeous as The Hollins House is, knowing we would have Carter as our coordinator definitely played a huge factor in why we chose this venue. As for the venue, we can't say enough good things about it. The view is breathtaking, the space is intimate, and the food is delicious. Our wedding was indescribable and we owe it all to Carter and The Hollins House.

The stunning location is a given, but what really made the event spectacular was the attention to every detail that Carter provided. From our first meeting to our last minute questions, Carter always handled everything with an amazing balance of efficiency and calmness. We had over 150 guests and everything was seamless. So many of our guests made a point of telling us that our reception was one of the best they had ever been too. The food was exceptional and the dining and bar staff made sure to see to everyone's needs. We could not have been more pleased!

My son and my now daughter-in-law were married last month at the Hollins House. I know that I am probably a bit prejudiced, but the day was 100% perfect. Carter understood the vision that they were trying to create and made wonderful recommendations of decor from different vendors to create the most magical day and evening. When Carter presented the agenda on timing for the wedding day, I couldn't imagine how things would go according to plan. There was so much to fit into the schedule. However, everything was 100% on time and yet we never felt rushed. We couldn't imagine a better venue, and we couldn't have had anyone more helpful and responsive than Carter.

Let me start off by saying the staff at the Hollins House did an excellent job helping make our wedding a wonderful day. The venue: You have to see it in person to really appreciate the attention to detail and charm about the Hollins House. Parking: plenty, and access for shuttle busses.Front entrance/courtyard: beautiful, well maintained, the perfect entrance for your guests to arriveCeremony site: The gazebo here is great. It doesn’t look cheap or cheesy like some gazebos can, especially if you add florals to it. There is plenty of space for your guests on the lawn (we had about 120). Outdoor lawn/reception area: THE VIEW! The area overlooks Santa Cruz (you can see the boardwalk), as well as out into Monterey bay. It’s amazing, especially at night when the lights come on at the venue and in the surrounding area. Oh and there is this awesome tree swing that the kids will love (and some adults too). The Hollins House: The way we described the size is large but cozy. You can probably fit at least 200 guests in here but at the same time not feel over crowded. While you could have about 90 guests and the space would not feel like you are in an empty arena. Very nice hardwood floors and fireplaces in the main dining hall. The bar is plenty big to host your guests (you have the option for satellite bars as well). The staff: Working with Carter was awesome! She was always very responsive. I emailed/called almost weekly closer to the date and she was always super nice and helpful answering our questions. She is also there day off as your coordinator and this helps so much. Not many people can pull off the jack all trades but Carter did flawlessly. The chef did an amazing job preparing our meals for the day. The food turned out beyond (our foodie) expectations; soo good! We still get compliments on how good the food was at our wedding. The bartenders were excellent. We received many compliments about how nice and accommodating the bar staff was and really went the extra mile to help make sure our guests had a great time. The rest of the staff was always there to help but in a way where it was not overbearing and in your face. Overall, we highly recommend the Hollins House for your wedding!

Carter and her team of very professional staff were superb. The venue was perfect - our photos are GORGEOUS! The food was incredibly delicious. Everything went perfectly and never once did I want for anything. Staff regularly brought me and my now husband (heehee) our favorite beverages, and checked on us without being intrusive. It is a little pricey but worth every penny to have a wedding here. The events flowed perfectly and I had no need to coordinate or worry about anything myself. I made a plan and they executed it flawlessly. I'm still floating from the most perfect wedding day ever.

We got married at the Hollins House last month, and everything completely exceeded my expectations. Carter was absolutely amazing. She went above and beyond to make sure everything for our wedding was perfect. She was so so supportive throughout the entire wedding planning process, made sure everything went perfectly smoothly the day-of, and literally took care of every single detail. If something went wrong or there were any glitches, I had no clue (and still don't!). The venue was also exceptional. It is just the most beautiful setting for a wedding. The house is romantic, the ceremony space is intimate, and the lawn is insanely beautiful. We felt like we hit the jackpot with this space! All of our guests said it was the best venue they had been to. Our guests said that the food and service at the reception was the best they've ever had at a wedding. I cannot say enough good things about Carter and the Hollins House. Absolutely perfect in every way. We can't wait to return for our anniversary!

I toured this venue recently and t was drop dead gorgeous but a little on the smaller side for outdoor areas. The inside of the house was also gorgeous! There is a nice flow and it is an indoor/outdoor combined area for large parties. For the price I definitely feel like you could get more for your money elsewhere (scenery and space wise) I purposely don’t wear my ring when touring venues because the first thing coordinators do is checkout your diamond and I never want that to influence estimate costs. The coordinator here was clearly trained to look at ring sizes as id catch her studying my hand, even leaning down for a better look, anytime I looked away or talked to someone and it was really uncomfortable so that influenced my view of the venue as well. Overall though it’s a beautiful quaint area for small parties. Also not a lot of areas for pictures of you and your wedding party.

This is a review of our site visit to Hollins House and Pasatiempo Golf Course with the one and only Margy! This is the 1st venue we've looked in our search and a top contender! We are so appreciative of Margy, who squeezed us in during the holiday weekend. Hollins House surprised us at every turn. The ceremony law, dining room, bar, patio area, and dramatic entranceway all felt like spaces with their own personalities. Did I mention there's AN OCEAN VIEW? Combined with the rolling hills, the scenic drive to Santa Cruz, and the scent of lemon and eucalyptus in the area, I'm not sure that it gets much better.You could tell Margy's a pro - she was a pro at not only answering but anticipating our questions, for which we are very grateful, and we had a lot of questions. She was upfront about the cost breakdown, explained each line item, and seemed willing to work with us on budget and special touches such as a signature cocktails and flowers from my fiance's mother, a wedding florist. Margy's can-do attitude also helped my nervous mother open up and actually get excited for our wedding day. Bottom line: This is a gorgeous venue with a very skillful, trustworthy, and lovely coordinator! We enjoyed our visit immensely and consider Hollins House at Pasatiempo Golf Club a top contender in our search.

Margy Seifert the wedding coordinator is amazing! She has everything under control! I never felt more taken care of! Pasatiempo is above the fog line, so 15 minutes before our 2pm wedding the skies cleared and we had a beautiful, sunny wedding! Everything outdoor - ceremony and reception. Dance and cake cutting was indoor. because of the big, open windows it still felt like we were outside. just amazing.
