We used The Hotel Zamora for our November 2023 wedding and had an unforgettable experience. It was truly the best night of our lives and so many of our guests told us it was the best wedding they’d ever been to! The hotel is beautiful, and the 360 Rooftop views speak for themselves, but what really made our experience so wonderful was the staff. We mostly worked with the event manager Carly Davis who is a GEM!! She has the best energy, was so easy to work with, was great about answering my millions of questions, and really made us feel that she had everything under control. At one point during the dinner service there was an issue with the service elevator, and Carly rallied the kitchen staff to hand carry all the food up the stairs from the kitchen to the rooftop. Neither myself, my husband, or any of our guests knew there was an issue because the staff handled it so quickly and expertly. It was that level of service that really blew us away! Our guests also raved about the food. My uncle, who’s traveled the world, said it was the best steak he’s ever had. Overall, we would absolutely recommend The Hotel Zamora and can’t wait to come back to visit for our anniversary! Thank you to all who helped make our wedding a dream come true. We loved our wedding at Hotel Zamora! The venue where we had our ceremony/reception (rooftop) is truly spectacular and every detail was set up exactly how we had specified and wanted. Their event coordinator (Carly) was amazing, very responsive and helpful throughout the entire process. The food was incredible and we received MANY compliments that it was the best wedding meal they’ve ever had and the most beautiful venue. Any issues we experienced were not related to the wedding itself (ceremony/reception) so not reflected in my review. There were some complaints about customer service at the front desk from our guests staying at the hotel. Some of the staff were kind & polite but a few came across pretty rude. There was also confusion around the room block in general. It seemed like unless people called and spoke directly to the manager responsible for group reservations, that guests couldn’t get customer service to honor the rate and dates agreed upon in our contract. Guests had to call multiple times to accomplish booking. The manager we negotiated with though does not work for the hotel anymore. The current was much more responsive & helpful. Our wedding took place on Dec. 2 and was the most perfect day! I will recommend The Hotel Zamora to anyone getting married! From the very first meeting, Jacqueline was extremely nice and was very responsive through the entire planning process! Carly was amazing as well! Jacqueline and Carly were both quick to address any concerns that we had and come up with remedies. We felt like we were their only clients with how attentive they were, even though I’m sure they had a ton of other clients. The wedding venue itself is absolutely gorgeous and between the venue coordinators and our wedding planner, everything on the actual wedding day went seamlessly. Our guests STILL talk about how amazing the food and the venue was. The beach is right across the street for amazing sunset wedding photos and there are so many awesome spots for pictures on the hotel property! Our day was perfect and we loved every minute. Melissa Mateus(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 03-10-2021 Let me preface my comments by stating that I fully support privately owned businesses so its difficult to leave such negative feedback; however, in this instance, it's very warranted given the lack of responsiveness, follow-through, and resolution.I got married at Hotel Zamora on Sunday, October 3rd. While the property was great, our experience was less than satisfactory. Our primary grievances were as follows:- after we checked out on October 4th and returned home, I immeduately called the hotel to inform them that I left two expensive garment bags and a $400 custom made vest in the room. The staff was \"not able to locate any of my items\". I stayed in room 409A and know for certain the items were left in the room. - secondly, in seeking resolution of the matter, my wife and I were told that we someone would call us back to address the matter. No one has called us back nor has the issue been resolved.- also, on the morning of October 4th, the morning after our late evening wedding, we were awaken at 8 am by the loud sounds of construction taking place on the 4th floor. I understand situations like this are sometimes inevitable, but we were never made aware that this would happen and a heads up from any of the staff would have went a long way. - on the day of our wedding, the manager on duty during the day was very rude and condescending to my wife. My wife asked to speak to the manager to inquire as to why her mother did not get her room yet even though she paid for early check-in. This was around 3:15 pm. Some phrases stated were \"Well, Bride you should try to enjoy your day\ Reviewed on 06-02-2022

Michelle King(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 04-12-2021 Our wedding was an absolute dream. I don't even know where to start. First off I live in TN so the idea of planning an out of state wedding had me pretty stressed from the start. From the moment we started the process, I was at ease. I spoke with Jillian right away and she collected my thoughts and ideas and got the ball rolling. She provided me with all of the contacts I needed, all of whom responded to me quickly and with answers to everything I needed. Each vendor assigned to us were excellent. We can't say enough positive things about Pastor Brian. Cara, the wedding planner/coordinator, and her team were on it. They were so kind and always there if I needed anything and made sure the entire night ran seamlessly. I had a bunch of random decor and just handed it to them and said \"whatever you think looks good\". They blew it out of the water. There was a woman working with the hotel (I think her name was Barbara) and she made sure our room was decorated for us when we came back to the room that night. There wasn't a moment of the wedding I didn't have a smile on my face. I can't thank everyone at hotel Zamora enough. Reviewed on 16-12-2021
Deanna Purpura(bride)2 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 17-09-2021 I cannot say that I would recommend Hotel Zamora. The hotel's Director of Catering is hard to get a hold of and often takes several days to respond to questions. When you can get her to respond, her responses are extremely unclear and are usually a sentence long at best. This lack of care and clarity continued through the entirety of my time working with Zamora.Their Conference Service Manager (who I was passed to next) was nice enough, more thorough with her answers, but noticeably inexperienced. While she was quicker to respond and more detailed, her forgetting things that had been shared (including important details) made the experience a super impersonal one and led to more back and forth than needed. This, coupled with the lack of clarity from the start, led to some disappointment and scrambling at the end. Including music not playing for my flower girls. Zamora as a whole lacks. At check-in, they asked us why we were there. No clue that it was our wedding. No note, no congrats, zero recognition of our event that brought them a hotel block of two and three-night stays from over 10 families. On top of that, the rooms show great wear. Ripped couches and pillows, sheets that don't fit the bed, stained towels, old carpets, damaged furniture. Not what you expect at the price point. The rain-backup wedding space matches this theme. Totally outdated and sad. Not at all what you expect from such a beautiful rooftop space. That said, there is no cover or fan on the roof so it can be very hot. Finally, despite having two weddings on property BOTH the rooftop bar and the lobby restaurant inexplicably closed an hour early the night of our wedding. After the rooftop bar turned us away we went to the lobby bar who claimed they were closed, after a member of the group pointed out that their hours were until 11, the bartender told us he would serve us but it would have to be in plastic cups. The only saving grace for this property is Nicoletta, who truly seemed to not only be great at her job but care about the guest experience. She is a gem and I am grateful to her for being so flexible and thoughtful. Reviewed on 21-09-2021
Angela Leuck(bride)2 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 29-04-2021 I worked with Erin from hotel Zamora in regards to planning and everything leading up to the reception. She really didn’t give me much guidance on anything and was pretty absent during most of the planning which lead to many miscommunications and confusion. If I didn’t reach out to her with questions about everything, I would have been completely lost. She did not go out of her way to help guide me through anything and there were many last minute mistakes because of this. On my actual wedding day, I was responsible for setting up the entire reception as the hotel would not set up anything other than table and chairs. I reached out to Erin from hotel Zamora on my wedding day to see when I could set everything up (again because no communication was made from her end) inbetween trying to get ready for my actual wedding. Talk about stressful as a bride! My wedding ceremony was scheduled for 5pm which Erin knew this. She told me I was unable to set up the reception until 4:30-5pm. I explained this is impossible as I am supposed to be getting married at that time?!! She continues to tell me there isn’t anything she can do and it isn’t her fault because the hotel coordinator hasn’t even placed tables or chairs up yet. I went into panic mode and tried to call Erin multiple times and she did not answer. She did not respond to me for over an hour (it is now almost 4pm). I insisted she come to my room so we can figure this mess out which shedid. She redeemed herself by setting up the reception for me but leading up to that point did get very stressful and messy. I was also disappointed that during the reception, the wedding cake never was cut and/or served. It sat completely untouched aside from when my husband and I cut a piece at the beginning for pictures. We went over how I wanted the cake cut and served so they were very aware that they were supposed to cut the cake and failed to do so.Also, about 45 minutes before the reception ended, a woman (who did not introduce herself) came up to me while I was dancing and asked me about my experience with Zamora. I told her briefly everything is great in the end but leading up to it was not ideal and stressful. She insisted I follow her somewhere so I can tell her more. I bluntly told her no.... this is my wedding reception and I am not trying to spend the last 45 mins of it giving feedback when I should be enjoying myself! I felt like that was pretty inappropriate as it is my wedding and I shouldn’t have been interrupted while dancing to give them feedback?? That’s insanely rude. So overall, I wouldn’t really recommend hotel Zamora for brides who need a stress free night. The rooms were very pretty as well as the hotel itself but the wedding coordinating needs a lot of work!\" Reviewed on 03-06-2021

I will say we were planning all of this from a distance and the communication piece was difficult at times as there was a lot of turnover in the year of planning. I am very thankful for my planner for being the go-between and making everything run smoothly. The Hotel Zamora staff made our day feel so beautiful and special, I honestly cannot thank them enough! Not only did we have our wedding there, but I also had my bridal shower there. Throughout our entire experience, the staff were sweet, enthusiastic, and accommodating. On our wedding day, the bridal party and I were greeted with chocolate covered strawberries and champagne. When the woman that delivered the strawberries came in, she noticed that our make-up artist was there. Without anyone asking, she suggested that she get a higher chair for her to use, so she wouldn't have to crouch over. Within minutes, she returned with a chair of perfect height. Every where my husband and I went, staff members congratulated us, and made us feel so welcome. Even the cleaning crew went out of their way say hello and to make us feel welcomed and special. It was sweet, thoughtful gestures like this that made our experience even more amazing, and there were several instances that I can recount throughout our stay. The venue was perfect. It made our in-budget wedding look and feel way out of our budget. The food was the best food I have ever had. Months later, family and friends still talk about it! The catering staff even packaged up our food and put it in our room, and signed the boxes with congratulations. The Hotel Zamora went above and beyond in all aspects. We love this place so much, we even cancelled our post-wedding stay elsewhere and stayed at the hotel the remainder of our time in Florida! Debra Macchi(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 16-02-2019 We were so disappointed with Hotel Zamora for a myriad of reasons. Here are a few:--check in is 4:00 pm. Stepmother and Father needed to be in lobby at 3:50 pm the day of the wedding for pictures. Called and asked if we could check in at 3:30pm and just kept being told that 4:00 was the \"guaranteed check in time\". Nicely explained that we were the parents, would have suitcases with us, and just wanted to put them in room before pictures. Asked if they could prioritize us to a room that might be ready early since we were part of the wedding party. Response: \"All of our guests are priorities\". They DID call back a bit later and tell us we could check in at 3:30 pm. --At the reception, no water glasses (and obviously no water) on the table. Had to ask multiple times for water. One guest at another table finally went to the bar and got plastic cups with water.--no salt and pepper at the tables. --Ran out of certain foods at the buffet.--Bartender (male) extremely rude. Many complaints from reception attendees.--One group bussed their own table because no one ever came to clear the plates.--supposed to serve French fries in cones a little later in the reception; not enough for all guests.--did not set the agreed upon number of chairs/tables for brunch the next day.Overall, the staff was unfriendly and inattentive. Jennifer Cain(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 28-10-2017 Horrific.Over the course of a year, we worked with Ashley, Paul, Carla, Courtney, and not one of them had a clue what was going on. Ashley magically left in the middle of our planning, replaced by Courtney. Courtney was nice, but new.We booked this venue a year in advance to hold our wedding for 100 guests on the rooftop. Beware: Yes, the rooftop can hold about 100 guests, but should it rain and you need to use the backup room, that cannot hold more than 80 people. Carla Perez was in charge of our room block. After invitations were printed with room details, she informs me that they have \"no more space\" for our rooms that were reserved for our guests, 10 rooms. We had to procure another block from another hotel. They then moved our guests, including my 87 year old grandmother, to another hotel for only ONE NIGHT of the weekend, because they didn't have space. They tried to blame this on hurricane damage from Irma, when it was a clear case of overbooking. It was a tremendous inconvenience to our guests, and a last minute stress that was undeserving. I had to keep a separate spreadsheet of our booked guests, as Carla could not keep it straight. She spelled names wrong, had the wrong dates and missed names. I also had to extract information from her on a weekly basis. Had I not asked, she would not have provided any information. Clueless. It rained on the day of our wedding and I was made to decide to move it from the rooftop to the backup room. 4 hours prior to our wedding, I decided to keep it outside. Separately, Courtney went to my fiance who was boating with his groomsmen, and cornered him upon return, forcing him to sign a document saying that we were having the wedding on the rooftop and we forfeit the backup room. He could not consult with me and was made to sign this. It rained, we had to move the entire thing to a small space by the pool, and the backup room that held 80 guests? Was given to a 25 person dinner party while our wedding was held in some makeshift space. The food, ambiance and general housekeeping and hotel staff are nice. Our day was special because of our guests, not this hotel. Unless you want to do 90% of the work yourself and are extremely organized with attention to detail, this is a temping venue, but look elsewhere. We first thought our ideal wedding location would be on the beach where we first met over 20 years ago. Needless to say there have been many years to think about and visualize exactly what we wanted. When we could not find the right beach venue for our very special day, our planner recommended The Hotel Zamora rooftop as an alternative. The hotel was brand new and the rooftop was still under construction. Mary Barnett ensured us that what we wanted would come to fruition. We took a huge risk and booked the entire rooftop for our celebration. A little over a year later, the week had arrived and we could not have asked for a more perfect experience. As most of our family and friends are from out of town, we had almost half of the hotel rooms booked for that week. We were overjoyed when so many of our guests expressed how unexpected it was to be treated so wonderfully by the entire hotel staff, from the valet, restaurant and bar staff, housekeeping, all the way through to the new General Manager John Markunas. We want to bring very special attention to Kasara Morison, Mary Barnett, and Chef Louis for giving special attention to every little detail of our very large and involved wedding celebration. Their attention to detail gave us peace of mind that on our wedding day we, and our guests, would be taken care of. \r\rWe loved the location of the hotel as we did not want a beach wedding, but wanted to be close to water. We loved our ceremony on the sun deck and our very intimate reception by the pool. Later, we snuck away for beach photos…the best of both worlds for us. There are several different locations for ceremony and reception at the hotel so that made everything so easy when transitioning from ceremony to reception. \r\rWe loved the food and beverage options they offered. The food is fabulous there, we recommend you try it! \r\rOverall, the weekend was a huge success! To this day our friends and family remark on what a lovely weekend it was and how much they enjoyed their time at The Hotel Zamora. My husband and I plan to return for our anniversary!\r\r\rhttp://marrymetampabay.com/elegant-coral-blush-champagne-st-pete-beach-wedding-hotel-zamora/\r Reviewed on 30-01-2016
Theresa Zemaneck(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 17-07-2015 We are from New Jersey and we had our rehearsal dinner here at Hotel Zamora. We found this hidden gem randomly and were SO happy that we did. Mary Barnett was very responsive to our every need and they worked with us as far as food, drinks, and our budget. We had about 100 people at the pool area and hired a steel drum player for the night. People even ventured upstairs to check out the band of the rooftop. We dropped off our table centerpieces the night before (all different lanterns with flameless candles) and Mary decorated the area perfectly for the next day. You don't need much to decorate since the pool area is beautiful on it's own. It was upscale but casual and the view on the water was perfect. The food was great, we had 2 pastas, a chicken dish, and salad. Drinks were great too. Everyone loved the hotel and raves about the night!! Zamora, we will be back for sure Reviewed on 29-01-2016

Robin Shaddix(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 18-07-2015 The people and the facilities are fantastic. Room services orders had a few issues, but the accommodating and positive staff more than made up for minor errors. The staff truly went above and beyond on several occasions. Our King Suite was beautifully appointed and our view was exceptional. The hotel had no problem allowing my friends to my room as we got ready for my wedding or allowing any of us to the roof that was not actually open. The pool could use more attention- it was pretty dirty when we used it due to a party the night before. But the location in relation to the beach was excellent, and that's where we spent most of our time. We will definitely return and look forward to those kinks being worked out. Again, an exceptional staff easily makes up for most issues. THANK YOU for a great stay on my wedding weekend!! Reviewed on 22-09-2015
Anonymous (bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 25-08-2016 Mary and her team at the Hotel Zamora exceeded expectations as a wedding venue for our special day! From the planning process to the actual day, we could not have been more impressed. All of our guests talked about how beautiful the property and private room looked at our wedding as well as the fresh and flavorful food and drink! Without hesitation, I recommend this fabulous venue for any private event! Reviewed on 25-06-2015
Anonymous (bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 28-03-2015 Hotel Zamora's sun deck was the perfect spot for our small wedding reception dinner. It was cozy and intimate, and even though it was a chilly March evening, the heaters kept us warm. We ran a little over our time, but no one made us feel rushed or that we were over staying our welcome. The food was delicious, although we did have a couple of dish components come out cold.\r\rThe cost was a stretch for our budget, but they worked with us to lower the minimum originally quoted. We really appreciated this fact, because we visited many venues along the beach and this was the stand out above the crowd place for sure!\r\rAlso, while we didn't stay at the hotel, our friends did and we got ready in their room. All I have to say is, \"Wow!\" The hotel is gorgeous and very classy! Reviewed on 14-04-2015
Alani Floyd(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 10-01-2015 I recently got married at the Hotel Zamora ( 1/10/15). I cannot say enough amazing things about the staff, Kim, Mary and chef Ted. My planning experience was beyond expectations. Mary is the kindest, most professional event coordinator and truly makes you feel calm about your wedding day. I had full trust in Mary and her team. I knew they would make everything perfect and they did! They worked great with my wedding planner, Liz Smith from Liz Smith Events and they pulled off our rooftop wedding seamlessly. We had our ceremony and reception on the roof which required a lot of planning to do the flip. The Zamora staff made everything happen on time, and it looked perfect. Beyond what we could have imagined. The staff was more than polite and made my guests feel right at home. They were kind, and so helpful with anything that we needed. The venue is gorgeous, clean, and the views are breathtaking! I could not have asked for a better wedding venue and experience than what we had at the Hotel Zamora. They worked with our budget and were very accommodating to everything we asked. Thank you Hotel Zamora and to Mary and her team for making our wedding a magical weekend! - Alani Floyd Reviewed on 18-01-2015
Jody Polleck(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 11-10-2014 I want to begin by saying our experience with the Zamora was so amazing that I feel like I can now call them family. We were Zamora’s first wedding, after having the horrible ordeal of having our wedding venue cancel on us 8 weeks before the wedding. Kim Eustance helped me immediately (even as I cried during our first phone conversation). Kim is just stellar. So easy to work with, kind, fun, generous. We just love her. Everything we wanted was done: Down to the ceremony decorations to the reception on the rooftop. Chef Ted also needs an equal shout out: We fell in love with him during the tasting. He sat with us, asked great questions and really catered our menu to what we wanted…craft beers, delicious wine, fresh grouper to lobster corndogs. The food was delicious: Our guests were so pleased. Chef was with us every step of the way and we just felt so supported by him and Kim. The staff overall at the hotel is also professional and kind from our valet to our bartenders. (We especially love Derek and David—thanks for being so fun and fabulous!!) The servers and managers in the restaurant and hotel are great as well and the rooms in the hotel itself are PRISTINE. We stayed in the corner room which overlooked the water. We had a huge bathtub and bed—a fabulous view. In fact, we stayed another night because we just weren’t ready to leave. We love the Zamora so much! And can’t wait to spend next year with them when we return for our one year anniversary. Thank you so much to every one of you for making the perfect wedding ceremony and reception. We could not have dreamed of a more classy, beautiful and intimate location. We love you all!!!
