The Houston Club is a private club located 49 floors up with a beautiful view of downtown Houston. Our wedding location is in the the Heart of Houston, from the warm welcome to the fond farewell, we make your special day unforgettable!
My fiancè, now-wife, toured The Houston Club roughly a year before we got married, and immediately knew it was the place we'd host our special day. We had a small guests list of 60 people, so we were looking for something that was intimate—The Houston Club was perfect for that. The view from the 49th floor is just something that other venues can't compete with. Once you see it for yourself, its one of those things you never forget.Because The Houston Club is all inclusive, this really helped to take a lot of the planning stress off of me and my wife. It helped that we could have our ceremony, cocktail-hour, food, bar and everything else at one single location without needing to hire multiple vendors for each thing. The service staff was great, the food was fantastic, and the views were amazing.Priscilla, the Event Director, was a tremendous help in getting things prepped for us. She was very responsive, communicated details well, made special accommodations for us, and went above and beyond to ensure our day went off without a hitch. Thank you again, Houston Club! Hannah Stansbury(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 10-12-2022 I only toured 3 venues for my reception and this one came out on top. The woman we worked with for the tour ended up leaving the club a few days after our tour (we knew this when we signed) so we did have a few months of limbo but eventually she was replaced. Our package included sit down dinner, open bar, tables and chairs, linens through House of Hough and a cake from Who Made the Cake! I did pay a little extra to upgrade the linens and cake. The food was AMAZING and the service on wedding night was impeccable, everyone was commenting on how awesome the staff were. Also the views of the city are incredible! All in all I am very happy we booked our reception here. The only complaint (that I heard from guests and did not actually experience myself) is that the man running the parking garage was very rude, but I never had to interact with him so this is just what I heard from some guests. Emily Montanez(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 06-11-2021 Our wedding reception was Nov. 6, 2021 at the Houston Club. It was the most beautiful, magical evening and the location and staff at the Houston Club contributed to this magic. We first looked at the Club in February 2020, and my now-husband and I decided to enjoy a meal there before booking, as having quality food was a very important aspect to us for our reception. We were treated to a complimentary meal and everything was delicious, and the server, Cuco, was so attentive. We booked shortly after for a March 2021 wedding. Given the pandemic, we decided to postpone our wedding to November 2021. Aubram helped us find a date to rebook and answered all of our questions along the way. Shortly thereafter, we began working with Jennifer Keefe, the private events director who was hired in late 2020. Jennifer was extremely attentive, responsive and helpful throughout the planning process. My mother lives in Illinois and was helping me plan the wedding from afar, and Jennifer was always reachable for any questions we both had via email or phone. We visited the Club on multiple occasions for walkthroughs, menu tastings, etc. and we were always greeted with outstanding service delicious food and drink. The week of the wedding, Jennifer allowed us to come by for one last walkthrough, and let us store some favors at the Club to minimize vendor trips the day of. Her support and attention to detail along the way put my mother and me at ease and we knew the reception would be memorable for all. It helped that we had beautiful weather and clear skies the evening of the reception, but the venue is absolutely breathtaking. Guests ranted and raved about the views from the cocktail hour and the reception room. We had many out of state guests, and one of the reasons we picked the Club was because of the views - you can truly experience Houston's \"sprawl\" 49 floors up looking in every direction. The food was delicious, from the appetizers at cocktail hour, to the entrees, to the late night snacks. The waitstaff and bartenders were attentive and friendly. My husband and I enjoyed a private meal in one of the banquet rooms during cocktail hour (which I highly recommend) and enjoyed breathtaking views during our first meal together as husband and wife. Cuco was again our server during this meal, and he was attentive while also giving us privacy. We will always remember the magic of the Houston Club, and I would recommend the venue to any bride who is looking for a truly stunning location for a \"classic city\" wedding in the heart of downtown. Rebecca Esser-Stuart(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 18-09-2021 The Houston Club was a perfect venue for our wedding. We had an evening wedding and the views from the 49th floor were spectacular. The venue is breathtaking and impressive. The evening wedding was memorable as the sun set over downtown Houston.Jennifer, the event coordinator, did everything possible to make our day special. She helped to ensure that the evening ceremony, reception, and dinner were perfect. She is prepared for contingencies and she is an impressive problem-solver. She was unflappable when the \"little' things went awry. She worked well with the staff and they delivered a wonderful reception and dinner. We received several compliments on the food and many guests felt that this was the \"best wedding food\" that they had ever had. It is often difficult to deliver quality food to all guests at an event but The Houston Club did just that and exceeded our expectations.I think you will probably tour a few places, before choosing your wedding venue. We did and it is hard to describe but you kind of get a feel for how your special day is going to go based on who you meet with at the various venues. We would not have felt so calm about our choice of The Houston Club if we hadn't met with Jennifer. She is knowledgeable, well organized, and handles hurdles with ease and grace under pressure. If it had not been for Jennifer, I would have hired someone to handle the decisions and perhaps a \"day of\" event coordinator but Jennifer fulfilled that role for us.The entire staff made our day special. The wait staff had special food and drinks prepared for us. The chef even came out to congratulate us, Again, I highly recommend The Houston Club and Jennifer Keefe. Our wedding was memorable and it would not have been as special without Jennifer and her expertise. Reviewed on 08-10-2021
Rachel Freeman(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 12-01-2019 Jeana was amazing to work with! This venue is beautiful, unique, and perfect for a wedding! The only thing that we did not care for was the bartenders and bar service throughout the cocktail hour and reception. The bar was not fully stocked so we ran out of multiple drinks and the some of the bartenders were rude to guests. Reviewed on 30-01-2019
Sharon Colon(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 03-11-2018 The Houston Club was a fabulous venue for our small wedding (60 guests). Jeana was very helpful throughout the planning process and did a wonderful job of keeping the master plan together for us. You just can't beat the amazing views, cozy ambiance, and fantastic food. I could not have imagined a better way to celebrate with our friends and family. A few things I would suggest: Absolutely get a day of coordinator; not only is it less stressful, but they act as a liaison between staff and yourself to make sure everything is set up as it should be. Before the ceremony starts ask that someone ensure the clubs sound system is turned off, I was kind of distraught when I got to the end of the aisle and \"Jealous\" was playing overhead. Luckily it wasn't that loud, but I'm sure it will make it into the video. Get the bar! It was definitely worth the money. Reviewed on 29-11-2018

I really just knew that I wanted the best party of my life filled with all our friends and family. The Houston Club created the most amazing atmosphere and produced a wedding I couldn't have imagined. The servers were amazing - we were being stopped by our guests complimenting the steller service. The staff at the Houston Club are by far the most helpful! Alan, Shirley, and Arterean and worked hard to make our wedding reception flawless and rememberable. The room was beautifully decorated from the celings to the linens. The food was also great!! The service stands out to me most of all. I had a great experience working with everyone at the Houston Club and I'm happy I chose their club to have my reception. It couldn't have been better. Reviewed on 18-10-2012
Wendy Lewis(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 09-07-2011 I really enjoyed my wedding reception! Unfortunately, I think I would have enjoyed it regardless because it’s the people who make the event and not the venue. I have a fun group of family and friends and we can make a party in a waste land! Now… here are some of the things that happened with me….. The room was perfect size. The only problem with the Texas Ballroom is that the room can be a little dark. I should have hired someone to bring in extra lighting. The staff members were really nice. I did have a few problems because the main contact changed during the wedding planning - after I signed the contract and paid the deposit. I had a hard time getting the new person up to speed and getting approvals for deals the original person made with me. Another issue is that the new person made arrangements without getting approval from others, and she had to change the arrangements with me three days before the wedding! This change resulted in a +$2,000 increase in my price. Surely not a call you want to receive three days before the wedding!!!! The night of the wedding, the bar was shut down an hour before the event ended. The main contact had left the venue and the bar manager could not reach her to extend the time. The main contact should be easily accessible for weddings. The bar manager should have been able to reach her. Since he couldn’t reach her, he shut down the bar and would not even allow me or my guests to get one more drink. When I spoke with her after the wedding, she said she didn’t understand that I wanted the bar along with the room for an additional hour. Why would I want the room and not have a bar and service during the hour????? Maybe someone out there would. The staff started cleaning up the room about 45 minutes before it was scheduled to end… picking up things on the tables and taking down set up. Who does that???? I was really upset, but since it was my wedding day, I decided to just leave and try to enjoy the rest of my evening. They should not begin clean up until the end of the event. Not while the BRIDE and GROOM are in there and we paid for the venue through a certain time. If you have your wedding here, please make note of these issues and do whatever you can to ensure this points are covered before your event. Hindsight is 20/20.\rNow I gave high ratings because the staff and the service by the staff members were awesome! Minus the items above, we were treated like royalty. I can’t take away from the people who worked hard to ensure we had a great time, and they were doing what they were told. Management needs to get on board and they would be awesome.
