Professional at its finest! Beautiful, beautiful venue! Dena always answered every question I had and went the extra mile for us before the wedding as well as on the day of! I highly recommend this venue! Reviewed on 19-10-2021
Charlette Oswalt(other)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 20-02-2021 Using this venue allowed me to see the difference between vendors who are professionals and those who are using your wedding as a hobby. It is a versatile space in a unique setting however, it is so poorly managed you are ensuring more stress for you on your big day. Located in downtown Jackson you will have whatever water issues the city of Jackson has that day and the homeless will be around begging until the security shows up. The owner/manager will be available anytime a payment is due but will use her own discretion for times other than that, She will not follow her own contract and simply is only in this business as a side hustle and it shows. Find a venue that is professionally managed and operated. Reviewed on 21-06-2021

Alex Hill(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 09-03-2019 I recently got married at the Ice House Venue in Jackson Mississippi. It is a wonderful venue from the inviting courtyard with a beautiful fountain and bistro lights to all the exposed brick mixed with incredible iron accents throughout. The venue has such character and charm, very little is needed in the way of decorating. It is so spacious with a large basement area for the groom and groomsmen complete with TV, couches and bar area. I along with my bridesmaids had a whole floor to get ready in with make up counter, lights and private bathroom. I was married in the lovely chapel area adjacent to the large reception hall with string lights, chandeliers, bar area and stage for the band. The owners, Dena and Pat, and their professional staff were exceptional!! Thanks Ice House for a wonderful experience!! Reviewed on 14-03-2019
Crystal Tullos(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 22-12-2018 The day was sunny and the air was crisp on my special day. The best part was I never had to worry about a single thing. The owners Dena and Pat had taken the venue back over and made our wedding turn into what I truly though was a dream. Dena never stopped asking if things were ok checking on myself and the venue the whole day. You find people in your life who come around for a reason and I believe she was that person. Stephanie Vann-Tannehill from the Bride’s Side and Dena both work wonderfully together. I had heard some negative reviews about past management but when I saw the venue I knew it was my place. I went with my gut and it turned into my dream wedding. Since they have taken it back over everything has become so much easier. Thank you for making my favorite part of our day even more beautiful. You will always have a very special place in my heart. Xoxo Crystal and Kiel Hebert Reviewed on 22-01-2019

Lauren Powell(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 01-12-2018 I hosted my wedding here on Dec 1st. I initially viewed the venue in Dec of 2017. My husband and I were wowed at the beautiful set up of the venue. We liked the spacious chapel area for the ceremony and also the separate area for the reception. We loved the stairwell that led up to the large bridal area as wellAs the basement area that was deemed the “mans cave”. We were told that they only booked one wedding a weekend and that we would be able to rehearse the night before the wedding as well as begin decorating. The owners, Mr. and Mrs. Pigott “seemed” very pleasant and accommodating. We immediately paid the deposit and signed the contract. We initially had a count of 150 but was told that if the number increase to let them know and they can accommodate with seating. That’s the only good thing I have to say. Now the bad. Around Feb. of 2018 I got a call from the Susie Morgan who had been just hired on as the new venue manager. We met, and upon meeting she stated that the venue now allows outside vendors including florist and caterers. We also discussed some food we would like for the reception and Susie would email us with a price. After that I began researching other caterers as well. By the summer we had chosen to go with an outside caterer. In October we contacted Susie to pay the remaining balance and met with her at the Venue. She thought we were meeting to pay her deposit for the in house caterer. I explained to her that it was June when she finally emailed me a cost for the catering and I immediately emailed her back stating that our guest list had increased and I needed an updated price. She never emailed me back, hence we went with a different caterer. She states she would have to called the owner, Dena Pigott to get it okayed even though she told us in February that they allow outside caterers. We even agreed to pay the $500 fee. Well the owner refused to talk to me! Even though her argument was that I didn’t sign a contract with Susie, I signed it with her so I had to go by what the contract said. Of course I understand a contract is binding but at least give me the respect of speaking with me, the bride, since you insist on me going by the contract I signed with you. Of course I was livid! Not to mention that we already gotThe short end of the stick with the price we paid for the venue. By booking a year in advance we thought we were not only securing the venue but also the best rate. We later found out that we paid a price of $3500 where as brides who booked with Susie only paid $2500! Now i will say after that entire debacle Susie did become accommodating by allowing us to use the caterer we paid for the wedding to caterer our rehearsal dinner there the night before as well as the cocktail hr during the reception. Another issue was seating. Like i mentioned earlier we were told if we needed seating forMore than 150 people let them know and they could accommodate. Not the case! We had to bring in 100 chairs and 8 tables to accommodate our guest! The week of the wedding Dena tried to not allow us to have the rehearsal dinner there although it was in writing that we could. I even later found out that she was rude and condescending to vendors the day of the wedding. I wouldn’t let my dog get married at the Ice House. Even my coordinator and decorator has vowed not to do business with them. I’m sure there are positive reviews which may be conflicting to potential brides, but remember where there is smoke there is fire. Reviewed on 19-12-2018

Anonymous (wedding party)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 11-02-2017 Our daughter's reception was on 11-28-15 at the Ice House. Beautiful venue, the \"in house caterer\" Susie Morgan, Loose Ends Catering - AWESOME, the manager - Trish - very unprofessional and not accommodating. Issues we had: Venue was secured with required deposit in February 2015. 1st - When I contacted Trish about needing to get in the building to decorate for the reception, she was unable to accommodate me due to it being Thanksgiving weekend, she was out of town. 2nd - elevator is not ADA compliant - we have family members in wheelchair and unable to use stairs. 3rd - the venue has a beautiful balcony outside that we were told could be used for pictures, since Trish was not there the doors were locked so we could not access it. At the end of the night Trish shows up to lock up the building... wow... how unprofessional! Final issue ( we are sill dealing with today 12-11-15) we also had to give a check in 2/2015 for another deposit, we were told we would get back after the event, we have spoken and seen Trish several times, no check yet... it is \" in the mail\" we live locally! In a nutshell venue is beautiful , management is awful! Fully read your contract and if Trish tells you anything it better be written down or it won't happen! \rPositives - I cannot say enough good things about Susie Morgan.. she is AWESOME, from the flowers to the food.... totally amazing. With all the frustrations we had Susie made the night a wonderful time, our Bride and Groom had the time of their life! Susie and her staff did everything they could to accommodate us. All our thanks to Susie Morgan and Loose Ends Catering for saving the day for our children... she made it a perfect day! Reviewed on 11-12-2015

Hollyn White(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 07-11-2015 We had both our ceremony and reception at The Ice House. It was ideal because there were separate areas for both parts. We loved this venue from the beginning but I always got the sense that it was too good to be true. Unfortunately I was correct. While we absolutely loved the venue, we had a lot of problems with the venue coordinator. While in the end everything ended up being great, the venue coordinator could use some guidance/training as well as some extra hands. Susie, the owner of Loose Ends Catering (the in-house caterer), was fabulous and was so accommodating and a joy to work with. Overall our wedding day was a great success. Reviewed on 25-11-2015
