Thomas Carroll(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 18-09-2021 The Ingleside Hotel for our wedding reception and ceremony was amazing. The outdoor gazebo was beautiful and so was the lake country ballroom. The Ingleside was so accommodating as our intital wedding was planned for the summer of 2020. They allowed us to reschedule the entire thing to summer of 2021, while still having a small ceremony for my partner and I to still get married on our original wedding date. They helped with all the stress of planning for a wedding during a pandemic. Brian, who is the wedding and event cordinator, is so amazing at his job. He supported us the entire way, right through the day of the actual event. The food for the cocktail hour, dinner, and late night snacks were amazing. Our guests loved the accommodations of the hotel and the waterpark the next day. This is a great place to have a wedding and to have as a memory for a lifetime. Reviewed on 02-10-2021

We bought 7 tickets for the Country Christmas event at the Ingleside Hotel, but unfortunately, 3 of my kids couldn’t attend due to Covid. I contacted Jessie, the ticket handler, beforehand, explaining the situation, but she declined to refund the tickets for those who couldn’t make it. It’s shocking that the hotel isn’t willing to make any exceptions given the circumstances. Reviewed on 19-12-2023
Brian Silovich(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 05-11-2022 Be cautious if selecting the Ingleside. At first we had a great experience with their coordinator, then a month prior to our wedding the coordinator \"retired\" and no one from the Ingleside felt the need to notify us. Communication with the staff is very poor. We had many instances of our guests not being added to our room block or being charged the room block rate. We had our wedding in the Oakton ballroom and had 200 guests, don't get fooled that that hall will fit 310. 200 in the foyer for cocktail hour was very crammed, we had to move some of our decorations to accommodate all the people. For the good with them, the food was very well prepared and served. Hotel rooms are nice accommodations. They may be one of the cheaper venues in the area but just take caution as you pay for what you get. Get ready to do alot more work than you would think, or hire a coordinator so they can deal with the staff. Reviewed on 18-12-2022
Madison Hanneman(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 03-09-2022 The Ingleside was an easy choice for our wedding venue. Brian helped us through the process every step of the way to ensure our day went smoothly. They provided all catering and bartending as well as many rental items to choose from. We didn’t have to worry about coordinating anything except for our cake delivery! We had a black-tie wedding and the ballroom suited our vision perfectly. We had two full-service bars and a very large gathering space for cocktail hour with plenty of room for guest to mingle. They even sent up a stage for the band! We planned the wedding on our own, so not having to coordinate multiple vendors was a lifesaver and took a lot of stress out of the planning process. We had a large number of guests coming from out of town as well, so having a hotel on site was a must-have. We thoroughly enjoyed our day and would highly recommend this venue! Reviewed on 16-11-2022

ashley rodriguez(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 15-05-2021 The F&B director, Brian was MIA on our wedding day. He never once checked in on us to see if we needed anything. I had to hunt him down about moving the ceremony indoors due to weather, we were missing several kids meals, our top shelf bar package apparently didn't include champagne and therefore wasn't stocked with any, the bar ran out of scotch, and they originally set up our tables with standard linens instead of floor length linens we paid extra for. Luckily my sister went to look at the reception room and caught the mistake before the wedding. Overall, very disappointed with the service on the day of the wedding. Reviewed on 23-05-2021
Cory Jensen(groom)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 18-06-2022 We did a tour of the main ballroom for a wedding of 250 people. The person who showed us around did not seem interested in showing us the venue. The questions we asked they did not seem to know the answers too. One thing that was really shocking was when we asked when we could start setting up the reception they told us that we could not start decorating until 3:00p.m. that day. We had done several venue showings at this time and this was the worst customer service out of all of them. At the end, we were left just standing in the hallway as the representative of the hotel just ran off. I really felt like that we were not worth her time. Reviewed on 21-03-2021

The service was excellent, and the food was absolutely amazing. We had the bacon-wrapped filet and the sun dried tomato chicken as our two options, and all of our guests said it was the best wedding food they've ever had. The wedding coordinator we worked with, Brian Peterson, was so helpful. He answered all of our questions, even the last minute ones, quickly and efficiently. The only negative comment I have is about the set up time. I had an earlier ceremony downtown, so my mother was hoping to get into the Oakton Ballroom at the Ingleside at 10 am to start getting the tables set up. We were told the space would be available; however, when my mother arrived, the employees were still tearing down the wedding from the night before. My mother was afraid she wouldn't have enough time to set up before needing to leave for the ceremony, but with a lot of help from friends and from Brian, they were able to finish. I can't express enough all the help they gave us leading up to the wedding. They will try to accommodate all your wedding needs. I wanted a fireplace for my winter ceremony but we were unable to do the Somerset room because of how many people were going to attend. My dad built a fireplace and wall behind it so that I'd be able to have it in the Grand Salon room in which our wedding ceremony and reception took place. Country Springs gave us approval to have it up as long as we followed their guidelines. Michelle and Kevin helped us make sure we were all on the same page by providing diagrams, setting up times to view the room to take measurements, and much more! Our \"go to person\" when we got there was extremely helpful, polite and a pleasure to work with. The food I would give an 7/10. Some of the chicken was slightly undercooked, and the food on top was not warm. The food service staff were phenomenal! Our bartender was \"okay\". Could of been more personable and a bit quicker with service considering there was a long wait for drinks causing an inconvenience to our guests for a service we paid for. He also had to leave quite a few times to retrieve his own supplies, causing a delay in service. He did however abide by our wishes when we asked for certain people not to be served anymore. That was greatly appreciated! Only one major flaw was that the bride had made party favors for all the guests and had dropped them off so that they could be placed on the tables prior to dinner, and they were never put out. The bride remembered about them a good hour after dinner, and had to go ask for them to be found and put out on a side table. Michelle Rothering is the best to work with in coordinating your wedding. The wait staff and bartenders were also very kind. The cost was higher than my budget but after reviewing the small things that were included in the total, it was well worth the cost. The most important thing was that our daughter will have great memories of a great day. Overall, I would recommend Country Springs to anyone who are looking for those qualities that we received. Samantha Piasecki(bride)2 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 14-05-2016 Great place to get married if you want wedding crashes. I had my wedding at Country Springs Hotel on May 14, 2016. We had the ceremony outside in the gazebo and we were in half of the grand ball room for our reception. While planning the wedding we worked with Michelle and she was wonderful. My husbands family had some usual requests for hors d'ourves and she was very accommodating and helpful throughout the time. Our wedding was gorgeous and we had a great time. However, we had wedding crashes from the party using the other half of the ballroom. They are our hors d'ourves, used our photo booth, and danced on our dance floors. The day of the wedding Michelle was not there so our point person was Mike. Our complaints about this problem were first brought to attention at 5:45 pm and we had to continue to complain to him throughout the night because nothing was being done. He did not care that we had a problem and did nothing to try to fix it and just said we still had food and what would we like him to do. Nothing was done until 10:20 when I personally saw someone attempting to use our photo booth while people from the other wedding were watching and laughing. That was the pint when I found Mike myself and he was rude with me and said there was nothing he could do and there was no one else that we could talk to but him. Me and my husband left soon after this. Since the wedding we have worked with Country Springs to talk to them about the problems that occurred that night and they have done what they can to make it up to us. Overall our wedding was beautiful and we had a great time. It was unfortunate that our day was ruined by obnoxious people that had no consideration for other people. Reviewed on 27-05-2016
Stephanie Weltzin(wedding party)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 20-04-2013 It was a beautiful venue and the food was great, however; those are the only two positive things I can say about this place. First of all, there were there three weddings going on at once which fine, it was a little crowded. The bride and groom were assured that there would be no problems with people coming over from the other weddings. Well, that was not the case. At the beginning of the night there were people from other weddings eating the hors d' Oeuvres that my sister and her husband's families had paid for already. We mentioned this to the manager and all he said was \" There was plenty of food left over\" which there wasn't. They had run out of fruit shortly after it was served. And I'm sure the bride and the groom did not want to pay for other people to eat the food that they had spent a considerable amount of money on. Second, when asked about how the room was to be arranged they decided to not follow any of the directions that they were given. This may not seem like a big deal, but when they decided to put out the table numbers and favors without knowing what they were supposed to do with the gifts, it is going to cause a lot of unneeded stress for the bride and groom and their families. The next problem was our photo booth. Again, my sister and her husband purchased something for their guests, not for other people to use. However, we found multiple people from the other wedding using their photo booth. Once again, this is something that they were assured would not happen. Another problem, even though its not the biggest deal, is that people from the other wedding came over and started dancing in our hall. I know that dancing doesn't seem all that big, but the bride and groom paid for their DJ to entertain her guests, not other people from a different wedding. But what takes the cake on this negative review was the attitude of the manager in charge. The wedding party tried multiple times to let the manager on duty know what was going on. Both with the things that were not set up correctly and the guests from the other wedding eating their food and using their photobooth and crashing the wedding. He never once apologized and said he was in the wrong. It took until an hour before the wedding ended to get a security guard involved in the situation. Meanwhile, throughout the wedding three of the people in the wedding party, the brides brother-in-law, sister-in-law, and cousin attempted to get any type of resolution. The uncle of the the groom got involved as well. The bride's parents then had to become involved in the situation. Finally, the bride herself was seething so bad that she tried talking to the manager with no resolve. She was so mad that she was not able to enjoy the remainder of her wedding. It is absolutely unacceptable the way that the situation was handled. Most managers would be fired if they talked to their guests the way this manager talked to his.Not only did he not apologize, but all he would keep saying was, \"Well, did you run out of food\" and \"We can't know who is in each wedding and how should we enforce it?\" Not once did he say, \"I am very sorry about what happened! I will get some security guards (or something) down here right away. I will talk to my manager and see what we can do to fix and compensate you for all of your problems, when you were guaranteed there wouldn't be these problems.\" Reviewed on 15-05-2016
Brenda Wiegele(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 26-09-2015 I don’t know how to describe Country Springs Hotel, except to say it was our dream come true. After scouring downtown Milwaukee for months searching for a glamorous but affordable venue, my now-husband and I felt like we were never going to pull it off within our budget. That’s when Country Springs was suggested to us. While it was outside of downtown Milwaukee, we agreed to go tour the venue and give it a shot. That was the 2nd best decision I made during the wedding planning process (only topped by hiring the wedding planner that suggested Country Springs!). We chose the Grand Ballroom for our ceremony and reception because of its old Hollywood/1920’s feel – think gorgeous, twinkling chandeliers and large 1920’s era cherry wood bars. We wanted our guests to feel like they were being treated to a glam night out; pull out those dresses/suits and indulge in cocktails and food all night. Michelle, the wedding coordinator at Country Springs, was absolutely wonderful and made it happen. She was very accommodating with all of our requests, timely with any questions we had, very organized and knowledgeable. We felt very well taken care of. We went with the princess package, which offered appetizers, champagne toast, entrees, open bar and late night pizza. Our guests were wined and dined and LOVED it. The bars were always well staffed, no long lines, and the bartenders were fantastic. The food was beyond delicious and took the experience to a new level. The tenderloin kabobs and bacon wrapped water chestnut appetizers were a huge hit. We also chose 2 combination plates (filet + salmon, filet + cashew crusted chicken) and I’m praying someone else I know will get married there so I can have that filet again. It cut like butter and melted in your mouth! The salmon and chicken were also prepared beautifully. Months later and we still have guests telling us how our food was piping hot and the best wedding food they had ever had. And after reviewing over 50 venue packages, let me tell you, they were the most affordable and reasonable out of all of them! Of course, that food was served by the catering staff at Country Springs and they were simply impeccable. You could tell they are very well versed in the wedding business and everyone encountered was extremely polite, smiling and wanted nothing more than to make sure every one of their guests was taken care of. I have nothing but love and appreciation for the Country Springs team. They made our wedding dream come true and I only wish I could get married there every month! THANK YOU, Country Springs, from the bottom of our hearts! Reviewed on 14-01-2016

The week before our big day we were worried because the lady who helped us all along found another position somewhere else but the staff was able to make the transition flawless. They have many different packages for the reception and a huge menu to choose from. I enjoyed the tasting set up to choose the menu, and that the staff the day of the wedding took the Bride and Groom aside to meet with us to make sure all the final details where what we indeed wanted and if any changes needed to be made. They allowed block discounted room rates for guests booking under Bride and Groom. There response rate to phone calls and emails with questions or concerns was in more than a timely manner. They allowed for final changes to be made just a few days prior to the event. There prices were reasonable for all that was included. Our hall and ceremony site was set up as expected and beautiful. They have plenty of food and beverage choice options so you should be able to find something everyone will like. The pricing is such that if you are on a tighter budget, you can make the Country Springs work pretty easily. Our wedding coordinator at the hotel was easy to get in contact with and responded quickly to our questions and requests. The rooms are accomodating, with the 2 larger ballrooms more elegant and stylish than the smaller rooms, but the smallers rooms are quite nice in their own right. The hotel will host couples on a tasting/sampling night where you can sample some of the menu items as well as interact with numerous vendors that provide other services such as floral, table decorations, photo, invites, etc for all the major related wedding details. Parking around the front of the hotel is somewhat limited, due to the waterpark, more parking is available down near the entrance to the largest ballrooms, but those entrances are a little farther away from some of the smaller rooms.\r\rMy thoughts and feedback from my wedding is that we were able to have a nice wedding reception even with a modest budget. Out \"time slot\" was 3:30 until 6. This was all the time we had to set up the area and get everything ready for our ceremony. It all went ok though. They spelled our name wrong on the venue board which I thought was ridiculous considering the amount of money we had spent there and they only give you a room upgrade for free. The rooms there start at about $120, so it really wasn't much of a deal at all. The other thing that sucked here was that my ceremony started at 4. Check in time for the rooms does not start until 4. The Country Springs would NOT let me check in early even though I needed the room to get ready in. I had to pay for an additional night so that I could be gaurenteed the space for getting ready, so they sucker you out of more money that way too. Erin Hermann(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 23-06-2007 We had to meet a minimum, but food, drinks (including guest bought drinks), taxes, tips, etc. went into the minimum. The people were very helpful and friendly...I didn't have to lift a finger all night. They really took care of us and made our night very special. Reviewed on 24-08-2007
