The Inn at Villanova University Reviews
Danielle Bissonette(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 18-06-2022 Have your wedding at the Inn at Villanova!!! They gave us our dream wedding! Everything was absolutely perfect! Kristin, our coordinator was incredible from the first time we met her. She answered all of my questions and emails quickly and made everything happen for us! The combination of the hotel, mansion, and ballroom made for a gorgeous wedding in a beautiful place, with the ease of accommodations just steps from our reception. The mansion was gorgeous for cocktail hour and had many different spaces so people could wander and mingle as they liked. The ballroom was decorated beautifully and did not feel too crowded or too empty with our 90 guests. The food was incredible, all of our guests commented on how delicious everything was! We had an after party back in the mansion which was fun and delicious and then brunch in the mansion the next morning, which was again, delicious. Brian and Sarah from the food and beverage team were kind, professional, and excellent. They made sure everything ran smoothly and was perfect! The staff was lovely and so helpful and kind. The service, food, and atmosphere were all incredible. It was the most perfect wedding and we are forever grateful to the Inn! Thank you!!! Reviewed on 25-06-2022
Katrina Shope(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 03-11-2018 LOVED THIS VENUE. Ashley was incredible to work with, adjusted every detail from crazy emails I would send, and never missed a beat. It was such a pleasure working with their team. Staff was courteous and the site is absolutely breathtaking. Book brunch for the next morning on the ground floor and your guests will have yet another glimpse at the outstanding grounds. Reviewed on 19-11-2018
Mariette Yost(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 22-08-2015 This option in the Chester County area was 50% less than other similar options and it blew us away. The food was beautiful and SO DELICIOUS. The alcohol was amazing. The indoor/outdoor availability for the event was great so I wasn't nervous for rain at all. Dan, the manager there was amazingly helpful. He helped our family pull of a major last minute surprise to my husband and I, which they asked him to do the week of the wedding. He was beyond helpful- he was so calm and unassuming. The location is a MANSION so its GORGEOUS. I am so thankful to have found this place. I would SO SO recommend. Reviewed on 08-09-2015
Michelle Thomas(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 28-06-2014 While it may be hard to believe, I live right down the street from this venue and didn't even realize it was there! Not only did I drag my now husband to 12 other locations before seeing/choosing this one, I had passed it on a daily basis! Needless to say, I am so glad we found it because it had everything we were looking for. The food was amazing, Montrose Mansion is so unique (our guests absolutely loved having cocktail hour there), the dining room was nice, but most of all the hotel is connected to the venue. Do yourself a favor and check this place out. You won't be sorry!!!! Reviewed on 14-09-2014
Colleen Narisi(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 07-06-2014 The Villanova Conference Center is quite a hidden gem! I never would have thought to look there, but did at my now husband's suggestion. I loved the site for three reasons. First, the mansion setting. So many wedding receptions are held in country clubs, and they all tend to blend together. I thought this unique space would help mine stand out. Second, the grounds are GORGEOUS!!! And they have a nice patio with a bar that was perfect for my June wedding. And third, I could go before the ceremony to get ready and take photos. A great perk, since the whole place is absolutely beautiful. Luckily, the food was also delicious, and there was so much of it. I had the mini cheesesteak bar, which was a huge hit with the guests. And everyone was very helpful and easy to work with. Last but not least, at the end of the night it was so convenient to have the hotel right there onsite. Reviewed on 16-07-2014
Jennifer Clayborne(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 22-06-2013 Amazing venue, people, coordinator, everything! All of our guests had an wonderful time, no detail was too big or small, it was taken care of. Couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. I definitely recommend this venue if you're looking around the Philly suburbs. Reviewed on 29-07-2013
Martha Castellina(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 23-03-2013 I cannot say enough good things about the team at VCC - they were an absolute dream. Since I live in NYC, throughout the wedding planning process I had to stay at the hotel several times and the staff truly became like family. Emily Emerson took care of our every need, was so patient despite constant questions and emails from my mom and me, and on the day of made sure everything ran smoothly. Also I'd like to recognize Lisa, who gave us an initial tour of VCC without an appointment, tended to us during our tasting and on the day of the wedding. She was so sweet and accommodating - ran to get any little thing we needed (Pepto, static spray...), and ensured we were eating, drinking and having fun. Additionally the beverage manager Don and all of the bartenders (including Mel), were fantastic.\r\rIn addition to the wonderful staff, the grounds and mansion are beautiful. Also, every guest commented how delicious the food was. Chef Paul created a duet entree that was not on the menu for us, and we loved it. \r\rI'm sure there are a thousand things, big and small, I could highlight to show why VCC was the best possible place to have our wedding. But simply put, I don't believe you could be disappointed planning your big day with the VCC team. Reviewed on 09-04-2013

Anne Member(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 21-08-2010 Tim Sweeney and all of the staff at the Villanova Conference Center were beyond helpful throughout our entire wedding weekend. We used all of the rooms at the hotel for our wedding guests and hosted our reception there. The planning process was efficient and stress free, and the execution was perfect. We could not have asked for a better location - the grounds are beautiful, the mansion is charming, and it was so great that guests of our wedding were the only guests in the hotel. The food was also fantastic. They were preparing food for 200, but everything from the appetizer and salad to the duo entree tasted like each plate was prepared individually and with great care. We really appreciated the an option for duo entree - which is markedly better than asking guests to choose their entree when RSVPing. We went with the short ribs and halibut and it was outstanding.\r\rThe whole evening, as well as brunch on Sunday morning, ran flawlessly -- there were never lines at the bars during the reception and Tim kept everything going smoothly and on time. By the end of our reception the only thing missing was more time to keep the party going. Five months after our August wedding, we’re still getting compliments on the food and setting.\r\rA million thanks to Tim and all of the kind staff at Villanova Conference Center,\r\rAnne & Peter - Washington, DC\r8.21.2010 Reviewed on 12-01-2011
Arielle Silver(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 17-10-2010 Disappointed because there is a gorgeous outside that you are unable to use for a ceremony (the site has you go for a 5 minute drive to a site for an outside ceremony)---therefore decided not to use it. Reviewed on 13-11-2010
Nicole H. Kubik(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 09-10-2010 Tim Sweeney was my contact for the wedding reception at the Conference Center--when we first met, Tim took us on a tour of the mansion, and showed us the packages available--he answered tons of questions we had, and based on what we saw and how we felt at the mansion, we booked with him that day. I'm glad we did! We booked in August of 2009, for a wedding in October 2010--I found out that once I put down my deposit 2 weeks later that other brides had asked about our date--the site books quickly, and I can understand why-it's perfect!\rAlong the timeline up to our day, I sent Tim tons of emails with questions about little details, and adjustments that we'd have to make...not only did he get this stuff from me, but also from my mom checking up on things as well. He responded either the same day, or the next in a timely fashion-especially considering just how busy they are there!\rTim was a great organizer for our wedding--he was fun to work with (we were cracking up every time we met!), knowledgable, and made us feel that things would be taken care of--even things we had no idea we'd be doing until the day of--he took care of it without us having to worry if it would be right or not.\rThe tasting was wonderful--we got to eat in the large dining room (6 of us), and he went over all the flatware, linen, and cuisine options we could choose from.\rOur wedding day was fabulous! Tim recommended a few vendors to us that we did use, and he set up all the decorations we had to use for the venue (mind you, it was an Adirondack mountain theme, so we had trail signs, mason jars, all sorts of silly decorations) in perfect order. During the wedding, we didn't see him too much except for major things--like checking the buffet food before it was served, and for the cake cutting. We had so many compliments on the venue, their service, how friendly, polite and professional the entire waitstaff was--people were blown away! And the price? considering we had lots of people who like to drink--open bar the whole time with an after party downstairs, great food, and a great cocktail hour--we thought the price was less that what it would have been if we handled all that by ourselves seperately. The price included alcohol, linens/flatware, our cake, food, and a few extras :).\rWe'd like to thank the conference center, Tim, and Lisa for making our day ROCK!\r-Nicole Reviewed on 26-10-2010
Deborah Holljes(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 15-06-2008 the food was quite good and the grounds were very pretty.;The maitre'd who was supposed to work with me over the months be there for me the entire day greet my guests and run the show was a horror. He arrived late in the afternoon never set up my bridal suite (and no one else seemed to have a clue) disappeared for 99% of the evening never greeted my guests sat my father in the wrong spot never came to get me to come down to the wedding didn't help with pictures or toasts or anything he was supposed to do ordered the wrong linens was basically unavailable to me and was obnoxious. So much so I got some money back from the facility. There are better places to have your wedding believe me. If I hadn't asked for my wedding to be on the patio my dance floor would have been in a different room from where we ate. I should have looked further in the beginning but the venue we had wasn't working out and it was a little last minute. I would not recommend this venue. Reviewed on 10-05-2010
