We had wedding reception there and the staff was always available and extremely helpful all the way up to the event. It was absolutely beautiful venue and they go above and beyond to help you make it perfect! We had plenty of time to set up and they assist with tear down which made it so much more worth the money! Absolutely recommend this spot!

We had a wedding reception earlier in June at the Jayhawk Club. We are incredibly grateful for the experience that we had throughout the whole process. The staff was helpful and flexible during the wedding planning stages, the days leading up to the wedding, and during the reception. The food and drink service was great overall. The venue is beautiful. We worked with Whitney, and she was prompt with her communication and very helpful in answering questions. If you are planning on having a wedding in the Lawrence area, definitely check them out!

The Jayhawk Club was fantastic. The planning was perfect! Even though I had some last minute changes (which happens frequently with my group) you did an amazing job at managing those changes and making sure that everything was handled! I knew I didn’t need to worry about a thing. The service from everyone that worked our event was 5-star! You can bet that I will be considering The Jayhawk Club for future events for our group and for our department!

Our wedding reception at The Jayhawk Club was such a great experience from beginning to end. Jen and Lexi were great during the planning process, very accommodating for requests and questions, and if anything didn't go according to plan at the reception, the bride and groom weren't aware. The space is beautiful and the food/service was excellent. We'd do it all over again in a heartbeat!

To say all of the kind things I would like to say about Jen and her staff at the Jayhawk Club would take a novel. Because nobody has time for that I'll keep it brief:I booked this venue last year when it was known by it's former name, Alvamar, and was undergoing a major remodel. Jen was my first point of contact and continued to be throughout the process. She took me on a tour of the imaginary building that would be put in place as well as what the details would include once that building was completed. It turns out that the building would continue to be imaginary until a couple of months before the wedding due to unforeseen setbacks. Those kind of delays could stress anyone out, but never once did I worry that things would not work out thanks to Jen and her honesty and reassurance. Carpet was laid 2 days out and the building was cleared by the fire marshal the day before our wedding. Close, but the building was ours to use!Jen and her staff were so organized and made everything so comfortable and easy for myself and everyone involved with the wedding. There was not a single detail missed and everyone was so pleasant to work with. The final product of the venue is beyond beautiful as well. I would definitely recommend to any bride looking for a venue!

We held our reception at the newly remodeled Jayhawk Club on May 6th and had a wonderful night! Jen and her staff (especially Stephanie) were phenomenal! We had so many compliments on the food, chef did an amazing job. We also used The Jayhawk Club for our rehearsal dinner and chef created a menu for us with the exact theme we were hoping for (it was cinco de mayo). The view is unbelievable and Jen took so much stress off of me by making sure everything was set up and the vendors were there when they were supposed to be. We had a wonderful experience!

Samantha Lenz (Events Director) Samantha has been with The Jayhawk Club for just over 3 years now, however, she has been working in event sales and coordination since 2018. She placed in the top 5 for Best Event Planner and Best Venue Coordinator in the 2022 Best of Lawrence Kansas Competition. Events are her passion and there is nothing she loves more than helping to make every clients vision come to life. When she's not working her event magic, Samantha enjoys spending time with her boyfriend and two cats as well as traveling. Samantha cannot wait to meet you and help make your special day as stress free as possible.
