The Lace House was my dream venue for years - and let me tell you, she did not dissappoint!! The staff is SO WONDERFUL and helpful in every aspect of planning up to the big day itself. Sarah was always quick with commubication and had great suggestions for all things wedding/Columbia area. The house and gardens are absolutely STUNNING year round. My husband&I truly had our dream wedding day here a few weeks ago. Our guests were in absolute awe of the entire grounds and still raving about it. Choose The Lace House - you will not regret it!!!

The Lace House is such a beautiful venue, with an abundance of naturally stunning features and lush greenery that serves as its own built-in decorations. It was the first venue we toured, and none of the venues that we looked at after that could compare. We used the Wedding Garden for our ceremony and it was gorgeous. Sarah was so helpful and accommodating through the planning process, and I really appreciated her willingness to always answer any questions I had. She also helped by recommending a vendor for an ice cream truck (Truly Scrumptious Creamery) when I mentioned wanting one at my wedding, which was great because I might not have found them without her! I'm so super happy that we chose this venue. Book it early if you fall in love with it too, because their dates go fast!

I cannot imagine having our wedding anywhere else. The Lace House is one of the most beautiful and intricate wedding venues in the state and is very reasonably priced. While the house and patio area (which we used for our reception) are included in the rental price, the surrounding garden spaces are additional add-on rentals. We added on the Ceremony Garden for our ceremony and the Arbor Garden for our seated dinner and still came in under budget for our venue. Even better - you and your guests can roam all of the grounds and gardens, you only need to pay to add them on if you plan to add chairs, tables, or other rentals on the space which is great for allowing your guests to explore the grounds and also for photo opportunities. The Lace House staff, especially Sarah, were all so pleasant to interact with - they are very responsive, informative, flexible, thoughtful, and will always find out an answer to your questions. Throughout our planning process we had multiple staff members reach out to communicate deadlines and just to check-in to see how we were doing and if we had any questions. The Lace House is a natural beauty with very rich history and is impeccably preserved. You can save on decor rental items as you really don't need to enhance the already perfect space. We had a 100 person wedding and every single guest has commented on how beautiful of a venue it is . I cannot recommend The Lace House as a venue and the staff that you will be in contact with enough! If I could do it all again, this is one of the selections we made that I would not even consider changing.

If you want to get married somehwere that will make your day perfect, I highly recommend the lace house. Weather it be the staff, or the beautiful area, I have gotten endless compliments from people on the entire occasion. Every person there will make you feel loved and cared about in every aspect of your day. The gardens were absolutely beautiful and I’m so pleased with all my photos and memories. If I say it once I’ll say it 1,000 times, there’s no other place I would have chosen. Thank you to all the staff and smiling faces!! Best day of my life.

My husband and I had our wedding at the Lace House on 3/19/2022 and could not have been more pleased with our experience. It was truly the best day of our lives and it could not have happened without the experienced staff from the Lace House. We had our ceremony in the Wedding Garden and our Reception on the Mansion Mall. From the beginning of the planning process to even a few days after our wedding, the Lace House staff went above and beyond to make sure all our needs were met. I highly recommend the Lace House for any upcoming event!

The Lace House was a perfect venue for the rehearsal dinner for our son and his fiancée the evening before the wedding --which was also held at The Lace House. By having the rehearsal dinner there, our guests were able to experience all the beauty of the house and gardens. The staff was very professional AND friendly and very accommodating to our needs. They went out of their way to make sure that the rehearsal dinner would be perfect. We still have guests from both the rehearsal dinner and wedding raving about The Lace House!

We live out of state and Sarah worked with us on arranging multiple site visits while we were in town and rearranging our plans due to the pandemic. The Lace House is absolutely stunning. My husband and I had no intention of getting married in Columbia, SC. I saw the Lace House pop up on Venues but it wasn't particularly close in distance to us (1.5 hours). I decided to make a visit to take a look since it kept popping up. We walked into the house and went into the \"cake room\" and it was a done deal. I looked at my then fiancé and my parents and said \"yall this it!\" It is so gorgeous and the gardens are unreal! I would highly recommend the Lace House. Our wedding was one of the many that was affected by covid in 2020. We started planning in 2019 and we finally were able have our way in 2021. The Lace House staff went above and beyond during the ENTIRE process. They kept in touch the entire time and checked in on us. They were super supportive especially when it came to actually having to postpone. This staff actually cares about the people who are renting from them. I cannot say enough good things about our experience it was all amazing! The day of they were beyond helpful with setting up and even when they saw people dressed up they complimented you. The support was amazing.

I honestly wish I could rate them more than 5 stars. Coming from a wedding planner, this venue was a DREAM to work at!!! The property absolutely speaks for itself - there are so many different options for ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception spaces, each stunning! I love that they include tables and chairs, as this is always a nice cost saver for my clients. The best part about the venue in my opinion though is the staff. Leah and Sarah and Aubrey are just the kindest people, and they love what they do and love their clients. They pitched in on tasks that weren't their responsibility, constantly asked me what they could help my team with, were very flexible with letting us do some of the setup early and bring in decor items early, brought us waters while we were working, printed a document that I had left behind at the hotel, and so much more. I know it may sound silly, but all of the things that they did to lend a hand and go above and beyond and genuinely care about the wedding guests AND vendors was just so appreciated. I am based out of Charleston, so this was my first time working with this venue. Their team answered my hundreds of questions with patience (ha!), and had great advice for my couple and I throughout the planning process. This property and this team are INCREDIBLE.

The property absolutely speaks for itself - there are so many different options for ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception spaces, each stunning! I love that they include tables and chairs, as this is always a nice cost saver for my clients. The best part about the venue in my opinion though is the staff. Leah and Sarah and Aubrey are just the kindest people, and they love what they do and love their clients. They pitched in on tasks that weren't their responsibility, constantly asked me what they could help my team with, were very flexible with letting us do some of the setup early and bring in decor items early, brought us waters while we were working, printed a document that I had left behind at the hotel, and so much more. I know it may sound silly, but all of the things that they did to lend a hand and go above and beyond and genuinely care about the wedding guests AND vendors was just so appreciated. I am based out of Charleston, so this was my first time working with this venue. Their team answered my hundreds of questions with patience (ha!), and had great advice for my couple and I throughout the planning process. This property and this team are INCREDIBLE.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED the staff at The Lace House. First, the venue itself is absolutely breath-taking. I live in Maryland and traveled a few times to take it all in. The gardens are so serene, lush, and well taken care of. I couldn't imagine getting married anywhere else. The staff at The Lace House was amazing from our very first interaction, to my final good-byes. I worked with Sarah and I always enjoyed talking with her. She had so many ideas, recommendations, suggestions, anything you can think of she was on it. She was easy to talk to and so understanding during a time of complete chaos in my mind. She was always prompt and available for e-mails, and sent so many photos to give me a better idea of the space; since I was a long distance bride. Getting ready at The Lace House was great as well. There was a ton of space for my finance and I to comfortably get dressed for the big day. The staff was there to make sure everything went smoothly. Also, the staff made sure my bridesmaids and I had a list of places to order from while getting ready for the ceremony. They were on top of every detail imaginable. The usage of space at The Lace House is amazing too! Looking at the pictures, it's definitely possible to personalize your wedding to fit not only your personality, but your guest as well. I was impressed by how grand and intimate of a ceremony and reception you can have at one location. That's a rare find these days.Overall, I was and am still gushing over our big day. I am forever grateful for the opportunity to have such precious and sentimental memories tied to this place. I can definitely see myself coming back to gush over the memories made. Literally they made our dream wedding come to life! They were so helpful and so flexible in so many ways and worked with us knowing we were from out of town. I can't thank them enough for making things that could have been a headache so much easier. I was in the event business at one point in my life so I was pretty specific on a lot of things but there were still things I was forgetting and they emailed me beforehand trying to iron out the details so the little things would not be missed. They also helped explain who was responsible for what and gave us very good recommendations. Literally everything was perfection! The only one thing I'd say that happened was that during the day of the wedding there wasn't a back up person on site when our main lace house contact went on lunch. Everything was completely fine because I had their cell numbers but it also had to do with the fact that my wedding planner sent people on her behalf to be there instead of herself so it really wasn't a big deal at all! Brittany, Sarah & Karen we can' thank you enough for absolutely everything. I will recommend you to every bride I know!

The gardens and the house were gorgeous, and apart from my beautiful bride, were the highlight of the ceremony. Everyone commented on how gorgeous and stunning the house was. Unfortunately, there was some rain during our big day, but the house was so open and welcoming, it was no issue whatsoever to have the reception indoors. It made for such a memorable and magical day, we can’t explain how special the house has become in our lives. And with the helpful and friendly staff, The Lace House was the perfect venue for us.

Karen, Sarah and Brooke at The Lace House were so helpful in securing and planning the big day, we can’t thank them enough! Our April 13th wedding was just wonderful. From the time we booked The Lace House Karen was such a joy. Karen did not every hesitate to ensure we were completely satisfied. The house worked perfect for our setup and timeline of the day. One of the things I loved most about the house was the spacious suites. The bridal suite and grooms room were so awesome. They allowed for my husband and I to get ready and spend time without our party without having to worry about seeing each other. I would highly recommend booking your wedding here! Everything about the lace House is a dream. The setting offers the versatility that we wanted for our wedding day. It was important for us to get ready, have the ceremony and reception all in one place . The lace House allowed for a beautiful setting to do all three of those things and have beautiful pictures and backgrounds as we did so. The staff are so accommodating and do their best to meet your needs ! There were several times that they made time provisions to accommodate me since I was an out of town bride. Our guests are still raving over the lovely grounds of the lace House. It is a stunning, southern vintage dream come true !

I can't begin to say how awesome Karen and her team are! Our April 22 wedding was moved to the Lace House at the last minute. Within a month, my mom and I totally re-planned an entirely different wedding than what we'd been working on for the previous year... and neither of us live in Columbia. Karen was full of recommendations, accommodations, and made sure we were able to pull it off with the least amount of stress possible. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous, the use of all rooms of the house provided the perfect backdrop and space we needed to spread out, relax, and ENJOY every second of our day. We were given the flexibility to make the space ours - from the lighting to the decor, the set up - everything! We were even graced by the Governor, who stopped by shortly before the wedding to give his well wishes. The Lace House will always be near and dear to our hearts.

I held my wedding reception at the Lace House on August 18th 2017 and it was beautiful! Karen was super easy to work with and made everything a breeze! They are extremely accommodating and do everything they can to make your big day spectacular! I love the look of the house and how you can utilize the space inside and outside of it. The Lace House was the first venue I looked at in person and was easily my first choice. We had both our weddnig and reception at the SC Gov. Mansion and it was absoolety the best decision we made! The layout was perfect for our large wedding and the staff was very easy to work with. Whatever we needed or wanted, they did! The grounds and Lace house are beautiful and it was the perfect place for our outdoor party! We would highly recommend the Gov. mansion and the Lace house!!
