We had our wedding at The Landing on 7/15. The venue, staff, food, and drinks were incredible. All of our guests from out of town were blown away by the service and views. This is the first venue we've ever been to where the food was actually outstanding. The only downside to this venue is that it's pretty difficult to get in touch with The Landing coordinators prior to the wedding date. If it weren't for our wedding planner it would've been a pretty difficult process to manage. All in all, we would highly recommend this venue. It's truly one of a kind for those looking for a great outdoor Tahoe wedding. Reviewed on 31-07-2023
Caitlan Ricketts(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 19-09-2023 Talking to these people is as rewarding as talking to a brick wall. If you're lucky, someone on the other side MIGHT talk back. Hope you have better luck than me getting ahold of them, I tried both the knot, website, third party and I considered just showing up and demanding a tour (But I'm not a Karen, just pissed). Honestly, I would try Beach Retreat & Lodge at Tahoe, Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel or another place. Instant response, clear communication. Forget this place. Reviewed on 30-01-2023
Nick Lucidi(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 02-10-2021 We had our wedding in South Lake Tahoe at The Landing on October 2, 2021 - Shannon was wonderful! She helped us with the walk through and was great the day of as well! We had multiple calls and an in-person meeting prior to our big day (as well as contingencies since we did not know if the wedding would go on given Caldor Fire & Covid - thankfully it went fine!), and was always very quick to respond to any questions we had through text/phone/email. She also listened precisely to our thoughts on a lot of the decor of the facility, and was flexible for our various asks. Thanks again so much!!Nick & Cristinne Reviewed on 22-01-2022
Sean Schoenmakers(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 09-10-2021 This is the first and only 1 star review we have given. And it's actually a shame to put time and effort to write it but we want to make sure other couples out there don't get misled like we did. In Dec of 2020 we inquired about wedding options for the Fall of 2021 with The Landing and were sent an email with pricing and amenities as well as promos they had been running for 2020 weddings. In their email to us, they EXPLICITELY stated they were including \"the wedding promotion we are offering for 2021 dates for those booking before the end of the year.\" So if we booked before the end of Dec 2020 we would get the 2020 promos for our wedding in Oct 2021. So we signed our contract with those expectations. In April of 2021, we asked to receive one of our promos during a certain part of the wedding and they explained that they had made a mistake and that the previously shared promos did not count for our wedding. When we brought this discrepancy up with the manager, Michael Jordan, he stated, \"The events needed to be booked between January 1st, 2020/21 and March 31st, 2020/21\" in order for the promos to be valid. In other words we were initially instructed to sign our contract by the end of Dec 2020 in order to receive the promos and then were told after we signed that we should have signed it the following month Jan 2021 to receive our promos. We showed Michael the email that was sent with the exact wording I quoted above and even though they told us something different in Dec 2020 he stated that the official contract did not include the promos and would not be honored. These promos were worth about $4300, so our bill ended up increasing about 30%. We get it, mistakes happen. But when the venue makes a mistake they should take some ownership and do what they can to make it right. Same expectation we have for ourselves as customers. We told them we would appreciate any concessions they could make but Michael insisted they did not make a mistake and were only willing to offer us a few hundred dollars worth of appetizers and food comps. Complete lack of ownership, accountability, and responsibility. Then even after they sent us a final bill to sign before the wedding day, after the wedding they sent us the real final bill that was thousands higher and billed our credit card for it. Lucky for us we had enough money to pay for the extra charges but not everyone has the ability to pay an extra 4 to 5k to one vendor because of an unexpected mistake. One of the reasons we've never written a 1 star review is because typically you can work out discrepancies with the company but this was not possible with the behavior of The Landing. The management of the Landing was extremely disappointing and I do not recommend this venue. Reviewed on 09-01-2022
Joslyn Scarlett(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 26-09-2020 The Landing provided the PERFECT setting for our special day! Both ceremony and reception were held on the rooftop terrace and the view was gorgeous - the lake was a beautiful backdrop and we were lucky enough to have a great sunset in many of the photos. Shannon and her whole staff were easy to work with and super accommodating when our plans had to change due to the pandemic. The food was also amazing and everyone at the hotel was extremely polite and helpful during our stay! Reviewed on 30-09-2020

Cassandra Borja(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 23-10-2015 I cannot say enough great things about The Landing Resort and Spa. My hubby and I had a destination wedding in Tahoe. Kelsey and Lisa are just Amazing. They are both very professional and really cater to everything you need and also very prompt with emails. We were so lucky to have them as our coordinators. The Landing itself is absolutely gorgeous, I don't think the pictures do it justice. The view from the terrace is unreal our pictures were fabulous. The ballroom is beautiful and opens up to the lake. The lakefront suite is adorable it is a must if you are getting married there! The entire staff was friendly and professional. Their attention to detail impeccable. My husband really appreciated the guys at the valet they really hustle! The quality of the food is top notch our guest loved their entree's. Everyone complimented on how beautiful everything was. We were so impressed with The Landing and would definitely recommend them to anyone getting married in South Lake Tahoe. Thank you Kelsey and Lisa and everyone at The Landing Resort and Spa. Reviewed on 28-10-2015
Jenna Member(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 25-07-2015 I had my ceremony and reception here. I believe it was $500 for the ceremony, $4000 for the reception. The venue also provides hor'derves, dinner, and drinks(beer & wine) for 80 people (that's how many guests we had); so once you include everything it was about $15,000, which isn't too bad considering I got married on a Saturday in July, which is the most expensive time to get in Tahoe. \r\rThe food was amazing. Go for a tasting and you will fall in love. You also don't need a wedding planner at the venue, because Kelsey will help you coordinate your wedding all along the way. She's great! \r\rRead my ceremony review for more on the landing, because I wrote a lot about how great their service is in that review. This place is the best! Reviewed on 11-08-2015
Mandy Etter(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 15-06-2014 I recently got married at The Landing Resort and Spa and it turned out better than I could have imagined. The location was a little pricey and I was on a very tight budget. Lisa was extremely helpful at giving more ideas to cut costs. I received so many compliments on how wonderful the location and service was during the wedding. \rI highly recommend the landing. Reviewed on 11-07-2014
