Beautiful Outdoor Venue with Open-Air Pavilion
At The Legacy at Green Hills, we offer various options to have your wedding, right in the heart of Kansas City. We are located on 38 beautiful acres, lined with trees and a lake. We boast an amazing house, from 1912. You can use the house to spend the day getting ready while hosting your family and wedding party. The house has 3 bedrooms, a full Bridal suite, and a dressing room. Downstairs, there is a kitchen, 3 entertaining spaces, and a Groom's Room (complete with TV, foosball table, pool table, and table for games). We have plenty of parking, a patio, and a deck. We offer ceremony, reception, and use of the house for a great price.

My husband and I booked the Legacy At Green Hills for our wedding in July 8th and it was everything we could have hoped for in a wedding venue! We love being outdoors and were looking for an outdoor venue that was picturesque, full of flowers, and that would be fun for our guests. The Legacy was the perfect choice....the grounds are gorgeous and well-maintained, the covered open-air pavilion was elegant and spacious while providing a shelter from the sun, and the on-site house for the wedding party was spacious and allowed the whole wedding party plenty of room to get ready and then served as our special wedding night getaway.   Alex, the owner of the Legacy, was delightful to work with. She was very straightforward and communicative, answered all of our questions, was available for anything we needed, and worked well with our day-of coordinator. She even stays on sight your whole wedding day in a special little house on the grounds so that she can be available for any issues or questions that may come up.If you are looking for an outdoor venue, don't hesitate to book The Legacy At Green Hills!

My husband and I booked the Legacy At Green Hills for our wedding in July 8th and it was everything we could have hoped for in a wedding venue! We love being outdoors and were looking for an outdoor venue that was picturesque, full of flowers, and that would be fun for our guests. The Legacy was the perfect choice....the grounds are gorgeous and well-maintained, the covered open-air pavilion was elegant and spacious while providing a shelter from the sun, and the on-site house for the wedding party was spacious and allowed the whole wedding party plenty of room to get ready and then served as our special wedding night getaway.   Alex, the owner of the Legacy, was delightful to work with. She was very straightforward and communicative, answered all of our questions, was available for anything we needed, and worked well with our day-of coordinator. She even stays on sight your whole wedding day in a special little house on the grounds so that she can be available for any issues or questions that may come up.If you are looking for an outdoor venue, don't hesitate to book The Legacy At Green Hills!

The Legacy at Green Hills was the perfect venue to have our wedding! It had natural beauty that made the perfect backdrop for our day. The ceremony and reception areas held all 125 of our guests (including our 16 groomsmen and bridesmaids) very comfortably. The house had a great set up for the entire wedding party to get ready before the ceremony. Considering everything that was included, the price was very affordable. Throughout the process, Alex was very helpful and flexible. She was always very responsive and even took time to show us the venue a second time to help with our planning. She and her team worked diligently to make sure we had the perfect day. We are very glad to have chosen the Legacy for our venue!

I loved the venue itself, absolutely gorgeous and had three areas we utilized that were either indoor or outdoor. The communication is the only thing I had an issue with. Alex was sick so her husband took over our final walkthrough, but he had no prior knowledge of all of our rentals so we had to repeat everything we had already submitted. The weekend before my wedding was when the layout was finally discussed, but it was through text late on a Saturday night where I was already stressed with wedding planning. Beautiful place and I would still recommend this venue!

If you’re looking for the perfect place to host your wedding or similar event PLEASE do yourself a favor and just book this place! You will not regret it. Alex makes the entire process stress free. We plan to book again for vow renewals/anniversary ceremony in 5 years. That’s how much we loved it. 10/10 would recommend.

This venue was the perfect place to make my wedding dreams come to life! The location is great if you have people coming in from out of town because it is located close to the airport and plenty of hotels. Even though you are close to everything, you feel like you are in your own special space with the natural scenery. Alex and her team are very easy to work with and flexible to help make your vision come to life. Our wedding day was better then we could’ve imagined and I wouldn’t have changed a thing! I would highly recommend this venue.

This venue was the perfect place to make my wedding dreams come to life! The location is great if you have people coming in from out of town because it is located close to the airport and plenty of hotels. Even though you are close to everything, you feel like you are in your own special space with the natural scenery. Alex the owner was also great and answered any questions that we had! Our wedding was in June and even though there was no air conditioning in the reception site, the fans and shades did cool it down.

They had so many vendors for us to choose from and so many rentals to use!The owners even helped us setup some the decor on the day of the wedding. We ended up forgetting items there and they held onto them for a few weeks and we met to pick them up at a later date. Alex is so nice and so is her husband! Highly recommend The Legacy at Green Hills!

The BEST wedding venue! Our wedding was amazing and The Legacy at Green Hills and Alex were a huuuuge part in making it amazing! It was a dream to work with her and be married there. Our day couldn’t have gone better. Having the house to get ready in was our saving grace. I don’t know what we would have done without it! Our entire bridal party (14 people), immediate families, grandparents, and flower girl and ring bearer’s family were able to hang out and get ready in the house with no problems. The venue is absolutely gorgeous and our guests were in awe. We were still hearing about its beauty weeks later. The Legacy at Green Hills and Alex are truly amazing and we wouldn’t have wanted our wedding anywhere else! I cannot recommend it enough!

What a phenomenal venue!! If you’re looking for an outdoor ceremony that has a gorgeous indoor alternative (in the event that weather gets dicey) you’ve found the spot! We had so many compliments about how beautiful the entire day was- from getting ready in the house on the property, to the ceremony, to the reception! Alex helped support us from day one- coordinating with us on our vendors, the decor rentals, everything. She helped make this a smooth process and we couldn’t have asked for a better setup on our wedding day! It had everything we wanted, and was truly a good price for it. Thank you to Alex- this was a perfect day that we will always remember and smile about!!

Alex is a pro and answered all of my questions in a timely manner. She was a pleasure to work with! We booked the venue early so we were able to secure a package that allowed us to stay onsite the night before the wedding which was very helpful for me to get organized and prepped for the big day. Transportation to and from the venue is a breeze as it’s right off the highway. We really appreciated the close proximity to a number of hotels along with food options for many of our guests who traveled from out of town. Highly recommend!

let me start off by saying this venue is absolutely beautiful. Everything is basically outdoors (reception space is held in open pavilion) so perfect for during COVID. There is plenty of space and the property is beautiful for taking pictures. Alex, the property owner, was so helpful with anything from vendor suggestions, helping with lay out and coordination, and answering all of my questions. There is a large house on property that can be used for getting ready (separate space for girls and guys, kitchen, and even a few bedrooms to crash in night of if you choose to do so)This place was perfect and I highly recommend it.

The Legacy at Green Hills is a beautiful event space! We moved our wedding from October 24th to September 25th on September 16th due to my mother-in-laws cancer and her doctors telling us to move up our wedding. Amazingly there was an opening at The Legacy as someone had recently canceled their Friday Rehearsal Dinner due to COVID. Alex got us in to view the space the day after we contacted her and eased the stress of the last minute change in wedding venue. She answered all my many questions quickly. The venue is GORGEOUS and with COVID concerns this outdoor venue is amazing! The house on the venue was perfect for getting ready and was large enough for a bridal party of 10 on each side to all be there getting ready, and the groom never got a peak! There are so many different locations at the venue for great photo backgrounds. The venue has so many rental options to pick from, the yard games and fire pit, being a fun addition. I highly recommend having your wedding at The Legacy at Green Hills!

We used the Legacy as our reception venue after getting married elsewhere. The venue was beautiful and thankfully was easily closed up to accommodate the surprisingly damp and chilly weather while still looking classy (my personal favorite touch was having flying pig weather vanes on top of the venue)! It was also really nice and convenient to have access to the house as well and to stay there overnight afterward. They have a wide variety of decorations/games/supplies available to rent so we weren't stuck with a lot of things we'd never use again after the wedding. These can be used to dress up the venue however you'd like from casual to rustic to classy. And of course, Erin was awesome and worked with us every step of the way to ensure things went as smoothly as possible, just the way we were hoping!

The Legacy at Green Hills was the PERFECT venue for our PERFECT day. Planning a wedding during a pandemic is not something I ever thought I would have to worry about, but 2020 had other plans for us. Fortunately for us, The Legacy had absolutely everything we needed to have our wedding just the way we wanted it while still keeping our guests safe. Working with Alex was wonderful. She was so helpful with anything we needed, and she was very easy to communicate with and plan meetings/walk-throughs. We were so thankful for the folks at The Legacy. In a year when literally everything could have gone wrong, we were lucky enough to find this gorgeous, flexible venue to make our dreams come true. The venue is gorgeous, open air/outside (which is extremely important in our world's current state) with multiple options for layout and rain backup plans. I never worried about a thing. The house on site accommodated our overnight guests comfortably and all rooms were clean, and fully furnished, including the bathroom toiletries. We rented this property for our wedding and it is truly so beautiful. I love that we could get married and have the reception at the same location (even stay the night at the farmhouse). There are so many amazing spots for photos and the pavilion is a great size and we were grateful it could be enclosed more with the new wood doors so we didn’t get too cold! We had such a great wedding day and The Legacy at Green Hills was a big part of that! Alex the owner is awesome and I personally believe it’s an affordable wedding venue option without giving up quality!

We rented this property for our wedding and it is truly so beautiful. I love that we could get married and have the reception at the same location (even stay the night at the farmhouse). There are so many amazing spots for photos and the pavilion is a great size and we were grateful it could be enclosed more with the new wood doors so we didn’t get too cold! We had such a great wedding day and The Legacy at Green Hills was a big part of that! I can not recommend this venue enough! Alex is so great to work with. She was relaxed and made everything so easy. Day of our reception went to smooth and Alex was there to help with whatever we needed. Our guests loved the space. We had the fire pit, bag games and lots of area for our guests to spread out and enjoy various activities. We got married on June 26th and The Legacy was a dream! We absolutely loved the property and couldn't have asked for better hospitality from Alex. The property is beyond gorgeous. There is a lovely house on the property that you can stay in and get ready with your bridesmaids as well as stay the night of the wedding. The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception are all held on the property. There are so many beautiful details and areas throughout the property that make it so unique. Did I mention that part of the year there is a field of wildflowers? The venue is extremely budget friendly and has a large inventory of items to use. Go check it out- you will fall in love! We received so many compliments from our guests about the property. It has it all!!!The highlight of this venue though is Alex the owner. I was just one of MANY brides affected by COVID-19 that she was working with, but she still made me feel heard and important. She easily helped me move my wedding day even after I changed plans twice. Originally she had offered to open the venue early and let me have my wedding next April, but then a spot opened in July and she made sure I knew I could have it. She even texted me on my original date telling me she was thinking about me! She is thoughtful, kind, and so helpful. From beginning to end she worked hard to make sure I had my dream day. I instantly fell in love with The Legacy! It was such an easy choice!

I cannot express the beauty of this property – it is my number one must-see venue in Kansas City! Not only is the property beautiful, but the owner is extremely attentive to all needs and is always prepared for anything! This venue has everything you could possibly need, it’s like having the perfect combination of a destination wedding and a back-yard wedding right here in Kansas City. It was so perfect to have the whole wedding party stay on site the whole weekend, it made planning a breeze!

My husband and I got married here almost a month ago and it was amazing. The venue was everything I ever dreamed of. Fall is my favorite season and I really wanted a venue that captured the feeling a fall, this was it!! All the tall trees and beautiful colors was just what I was looking for. Alex was great at answering my questions that I had at any time. The house on the venue is part of what sold us too. We constantly heard great comments from our guests as well. Married people would say they wished they would have known that venue was there or single people would say they want to go there to get married some day.

I LOVE THIS VENUE! I’ve photographed two weddings here now and have had an amazing experience as a photographer. The house has amazing natural light to get ready in (making edits quick and easy so my couples get their photos back faster!). The property is beautiful- there are soooo many options for photos and I can get a ton of variety for family formals, couples portraits, wedding party photos, etc. But what makes this venue stand out even more is the amazing owners and team. They’re dedicated to making sure your wedding is the best possible experience for you and your guests. The first time I was there, the owner made sure I knew about all the great spots for photos (something I would normally arrive early and walk around to figure out anyway, but having someone that cared enough to save me and my clients that time meant that my clients got extra photo coverage) and even carted is over to the pond for couples portraits. I was stoked to work there again. The second wedding I shot here, I (and my couple) had the same incredible experience and I’m sold that this is one of the best venues in the tnorthland. My husband and I got married at the Legacy on September 27th, 2018 and our experience there was nothing short of perfect. The venue is absolutely gorgeous and one of the coolest things about it is the fact that there is an amazing house on the property where you as well as others have the option to include an overnight stay in your wedding package. My husband and I, along with our wedding party stayed the night before our wedding as well as the night after and it was by far one of the most memorable experiences that we’ve ever had. The owner, Alex is the easiest and most genuine person to work with and worked so hard to make sure our day was perfect and it most definitely was! If I could give this place 1 million stars, I would!

We had our wedding at the Legacy on Friday, September 14th. It was an absolute dream! My husband and I are Kansas City natives, but have both lived in Chicago for 11+ years. For planning a wedding out of state, working with Alex at the Legacy was seamless. We only looked at a few venues before the legacy. However, when we saw it, we knew it had to be our venue. We both love the outdoors & fell in love with all of the wildflowers. Our wedding lived up & exceeded our expectations. We chose the Bride’s Favorite Package. We wouldn’t have had it any other way. It was amazing to have the house nearly a full day prior to the wedding. We loved having the overnight stay for both nights. Since a majority of our wedding party are from out of state, it was great to provide them with a place to stay. Our only complaint is that the wedding went by way too quickly. It was so much fun & such a perfect day. If we could do it all over again, we would in a heartbeat.

We had our wedding of ~190 guests in July 2018. It was absolutely amazing. From start to finish, Alex (owner) made the entire process seamless. I couldn't recommend a venue more highly. The farmhouse is gorgeous, staying overnight and getting ready with the bridal party was unforgettable. The natural beauty of the space is breathtaking. We got so many compliments from our incredibly satisfied wedding guests. The grounds are perfect for taking photos. Alex bent over backwards to make sure everything was great and she was excellent with communicating her expectations and she was extremely accommodating to any of our special requests. The outdoor reception space was ideal for our live band and fun dance-loving crowd. Such a perfect experience and wedding! Thank you so much Alex!!

From the beginning we knew that we had made the right choice with choosing The Legacy. Alex, the owner, was very insightful and caring as she guided us along this journey. She worked so hard to make sure that we had the greatest day of our lives. The venue itself was remarkable as well. The convenience of the house, ceremony, and reception area being all in the same location made our entire weekend go smoothly. The venue is kept up beautifully, to the point where minimum decorations was needed. And while we did use some decorations, they were all available for rent through The Legacy (which made it so easy). Our friends and family complimented the venue all weekend, and I cant explain how many times we heard \"we wish we would have known about this place when we got married!\" and \"this place is so beautiful\". The location was also a huge plus. It made it very convenient for out of town friends and family to travel to and from the airports, hotel and downtown. There is not one bad thing I could say about The Legacy and Alex. I 100% recommend and can't stress enough how great our weekend was because of the help from Alex and the convenience and beauty of the venue. Get married at The Legacy- you will not be disappointed! :)

Jake and I got married at The Legacy on Sunday, August 12! Since we currently live in Arkansas, but we are from the KC area, we planned most of the wedding remotely! Alex always answered my texts, calls, and emails in a timely manner. She was always transparent about cost and gave me recommendations as needed! The ceremony site by the pergola is breathtaking; I felt so special as my dad walked me down the aisle and I saw my husband's reaction. It was about 90 - 95 degrees on our day, but totally worth it in real life and in photos, because our ceremony pictures are GORGEOUS. We used the patio to display the memorial table and guestbook table, which was helpful with the flow of traffic, but the party took place under the pavilion. The temperature dropped at least 5 - 10 degrees under the pavilion and the fans helped so much! My guests felt comfortable all night and over 30 people told me that I chose the PERFECT venue site. I had approximately 150 guests in total and we never felt crowded. Many of the guests roamed the acres of The Legacy throughout the night, too. Lastly, as I'm looking at the photos and remembering this beautiful day, I am so happy I chose The Legacy because my sunset photos and bridal pictures (taken in the house on site) turned out better than I could have dreamed!!!!! I chose The Legacy because I wanted an outdoor venue, but I wasn't looking for a rustic feel. I wanted a \"boho/romantic/chic\" look! The Legacy brides are so diverse, supportive, and helpful and I relied on their pictures, stories, etc. as I prepared for my big day. You will never regret choosing The Legacy as the home for your wedding day!

We always had our heart set on an outdoor wedding but with the weather being weather we had our concerns, but this location proved to be the best of both worlds with its covered pavilion. The venue comes with so much for the price and Alex, the owner, is amazing to work with. She was very hands-on and stay involved throughout the process. Picking a venue was the hardest decision we had to make in the planning process but once we saw the Legacy we knew we had to have it. It made our dream wedding a real dream.

We got married here on June 8 and we cannot say enough positive things about The Legacy! Alex was wonderful throughout the whole planning process and helped me stay on top of all of the little details as the big day got closer. She made sure we had everything we needed and that the property was in perfect condition for our wedding. We had our rehearsal dinner at the house the night before and rented the house the night before as well for me and my bridesmaids to stay on the property. This was incredibly helpful so we could actually do a dry run of the ceremony and get all decorations up there the night before. We had time to take inventory of everything in case we had anything last minute to pick up. Our ceremony was at the Pergola and it was absolutely perfect. The Pavilion for the reception was absolutely beautiful! We rented lawn games and the use of the fire pit and our family loved that! We also had the sparkler exit which was so much fun! This was the wedding of my dreams!Thank you, Alex for everything!

We got married on May 19th, 2018 at The Legacy and we cannot day enough good things about the venue and Alex. The venue was absolutely beautiful (better than I remembered when we booked it). The location was perfect for out of town guests, they didn’t even have to rent a car. We utilized the farmhouse space for the bridesmaids to stay at the night before and get ready at the day of. We were able to cook breakfast in the kitchen and there was plenty of space for hair and make up people to come in. Alex was very easy to work with, replies within a timely manner, and was extremely helpful throughout the day (according to my day of planner) . It was supposed to rain on the day of, Alex worked out a good rain plan in case we needed it. We also rented linens through the Legacy which made set up and tear down easy. Our day was perfect and a big part of that was our beautiful venue! Thank you to Alex for providing such a beautiful space for such an important day in our lives ❤️

We were very happy with how our wedding and rehearsal dinner turned out. It was a great couple of days. Although there were a couple hiccups with the venue, overall it was wonderful. It's exactly what we were wanting.

The estate, the acreage, and the newly built open air pavilion provide a beautiful backdrop that's just perfect for a rustic, organic, woodsy, boho affair. The owner, Alex, is also very attentive and great to work with! If we could do it all over again, we wouldn't change a thing - everything was THAT amazing!

I just had my ceremony and reception at The Legacy at Green Hills and it absolutely exceeded my expectations! The venue is beautiful and very well maintained. There are lots of amazing spots to take photos, the pond being my favorite. Oh gosh, where to start?! First - the venue. Holy cow. I'd seen it several times since we originally visited but seeing it on my wedding weekend it looked even more beautiful! It's a quiet oasis in the middle of a big city - we got so many compliments on our venue choice from our guests! They couldn't believe we were still in the city and we heard so many times how gorgeous it was. Second - the convenience. It was so wonderful to walk in on Friday evening and have everything there for the whole weekend. We had our rehearsal dinner on the patio which was so much more intimate that having it at a restaurant or something similar and so much easier than trying to host it at home where we simply didn't have the room for it. I got to have all of my girls stay there with me on Friday night which made the weekend that much more special. It was also so nice to wake up on Saturday morning and already be where we needed to be. It calmed my nerves so much to be onsite getting ready so that if vendors had questions or needed me to look at something I was able to - I feel like this helped a lot toward making our vision of our day turn out just right. Saturday night, my husband and I got to simply walk inside this beautiful home to go to sleep instead of loading stuff up and lugging it to a hotel somewhere. And let me say...waking up to such a gorgeous setting - walking outside on the balcony to complete peace and quiet - was the perfect way to wake up as newlyweds. Last, but not least - the owner. Alex is SO organized and even more hard-working. She was so helpful and knowledgeable and I seriously cannot say enough good things about her. I obviously don't know what other venue owners are like but I do know that working with Alex made our day so much more calm and relaxed. She not only did her part but helped out with vendors as well - she really went above and beyond. I would highly recommend The Legacy as a venue!!!

While the Legacy of Green Hills offers a stunning backdrop to any wedding, there were many challenges experienced with organizing and finalizing details. In summary, the owner/manager of this venue is incredibly unorganized, inexperienced, and frankly, incompetent. I suggest that anyone choosing to book a Legacy of Green Hills wedding get everything in writing and study your contract closely. During various discussions, frequently there would be verbal commitments made, yet, those commitments were either not recalled or were retracted at the last minute. This happened so often that it resulted in me documenting all conversations and requiring the management to provide written confirmation of the outcome. It required significant hand holding, back tracking, documenting, and trying to keep the venue owner/manager organized of what was being provided and when. Lastly, be cautious of assuming the package costs within the contract are what you agree to as the final balance. We originally selected this venue because we wanted an “all-in fee” without the endless al a’ carte options or hidden charges. It was quickly after signing the contract that we discovered everything was for “rent” or required additional payment, including table and chair set-up. You can imagine my surprise on the day before the wedding when we were told we must set-up the table/chairs for the rehearsal dinner that already required an additional cost per hour. Again, the venue is beautiful but unfortunately that is the only positive for this venue. It is definitely not for the bride that does not have time to cross check all details and care to worry about hidden fees. If you are a bride that is organized and expects the vendors you hired to take care of the details you paid for, I would not recommend this venue.

The venue itself is absolutely STUNNING! It's one of those places that is so perfect, you'll find yourself needing very minimal decorations because the nature surrounding you is beautiful enough. We had our ceremony outdoors at the pergola and our reception outdoors in the open-air pavilion. Our wedding party found the farmhouse to be a quaint and perfect place to get ready, and my out-of-town family members enjoyed staying at the farmhouse after the wedding so they could easily get to the airport (just 10 minutes away!) the next day. THINGS TO NOTE:- There is NOT a full kitchen anywhere at the venue, so caterers will need to provide a way to keep food cool/warm. There is a standard kitchen with a standard fridge in the farmhouse, but that is all.- You can rent linens through the venue, which wonderfully simplifies that process. They will take care of setting them up, dry cleaning them, and everything! No family has to worry about returning them to a third-party company after the wedding, which is so helpful!- There is an upcharge for weddings over 200 guests.- The pavilion provides a rainout option for outdoor ceremonies.- The venue is 5 minutes away from a WalMart, which is always reassuring for day-of emergencies. Since my wedding took place during the venue's second summer in operation, there were a few instances of communication that could have gone smoother. However, I am certain that this will only continue to improve as the venue and its owners gain more experience. I can't wait to see this venue grow more popular for Kansas City weddings. It is so quaint and perfect, that I have no doubt more and more brides will be discovering it soon! You won't be disappointed!

Not only does Alex, in charge of the venue, make sure all your questions are answered, she remembers details about you and your fiance. We ran into each other a few times at the various wedding shows my husband and I attended and she always greeted us by name and is very personable. She was quick to let us know of any changes in the status of the venue (they were building a pavilion for the reception--SO BEAUTIFUL! Make sure to get a shot in with the enchanting chandeliers) and to answer any questions we ever had and never got impatient for someone who had no idea about weddings. There is plenty of space for many guests and parking on site. So many of our guests complimented the venue selection, noting how beautiful of a location it is. This venue is scenic, beautiful, and the bonus comes as you can stay the night there with guests! The neighbors are far enough away that you could probably get grandma or your drunk uncle out for karaoke and no one would complain about the noise. This place blew me away so much that we only toured this venue before deciding on it right then and there. Make your fairytale wedding come true at the Legacy.

My husband and I had our wedding May 6th, 2017. Alex has been helpful from the get-go. She messaged us throughout the time we were preparing for the wedding, which was about a year. Once time got closer she messaged us to make sure every detail was accounted for and that we didn't miss anything. The venue is drop-dead gorgeous. The natural landscaping is gorgeous and so is the man-made landscaping. Everything is kept up beautifully and looks so lush this time of year. Everyone at my reception was commenting on how beautiful the property was. It feels like you are in the country but it is at a very convenient location, just off highway 152 and green hills road (about a mile or two). There are tons of beautiful places for pictures right there, or you can get a ride on the gator to the lake on the property. We chose not to because there were so many options right there. The tables and chairs are set up for you, both at the ceremony and reception site, which is very helpful. Alex was kind enough to let me set my centerpieces out on the floor in the morning before I began getting ready and she transferred them to the tables once they were set up. My bridesmaids and I stayed the night at the house the night before (gorgeous, roomy, lots of bed space) and no one ran out of hot water in the morning, which is so nice when you have several people taking showers. Hopefully I'm not forgetting anything! Everything was so wonderful! I had several guests who said they wish they knew about this place when they got married and that they will be telling people about it!

When my husband and I were looking for our wedding venue we had four things in mind: (1) beautiful outdoor venue on a farm or country setting, (2) available this fall - we planned our wedding in less than 6 months, (3) within our budget, and (4) accessible for our guests for travel (many outdoor venues are a long drive from the city or on long, windy back roads) plus parking. We found the LG at GH and we felt we hit the jackpot! It checked all our boxes!! Since they are a new venue, most of the weekends were still available and it was within our budget. We opted to stay in the farmhouse the night before the wedding for the ceremony rehearsal and dinner + overnight. We had the entire day Saturday to set up for the ceremony/reception. Since the pavilion was not ready this fall, the tent was set up for us and we could begin putting up tables, decorations, etc. that morning. Beware, they don't have dumpsters yet, so you will be responsible for removing trash at the end of the night. Luckily, my husband and I contacted Alex (the owner) ahead of time asking if we could rent a dumpster for the night, and she graciously agreed to handle the trash for us free of charge. I don't think that is common practice for them, but she wanted us to have an awesome experience. Alex is very responsive to emails and very willing to help. On the day of the wedding, they weren't as available as I would have expected. They have a gator I was told would be available to us on the day of the wedding to help cart us around the property for photographs (my gown was very voluminous). When we needed the gator they were MIA. I just assumed they would be there all day. Once we called them, they came back to the farm about 10-15 min. later to get the gator. The farmhouse is gorgeous and the guests loved the photo booth we set up inside the house. The luxury bathrooms were nice and the guests enjoyed those! Overall a great experience! The best day of our lives and the Legacy was a big part of making it memorable and unique.

We had the most amazing experience with The Legacy. They were very professional and were always willing to take our calls when we had any questions for them. On our Wedding weekend there wasn't any issues with the set up or take down on their half of things. They were good about not bothering the bride or groom about any behind the scenes issues and went straight to our coordinator if something did come up. We had about 230 guests and the venue was very affordable for the amount of people we had. They also let us choose our own catering company and bartenders, which saved us a ton of money! Overall we had a beautiful outdoor wedding with our friends and family that will be a day to remember for the rest of our lives. I highly recommend using their facilities for your big day!

The staff were very friendly, helpful, and easy to find if any issues or questions arose. I absolutely LOVE The Legacy! The grounds are so beautiful and they allow you to have your ceremony anywhere on the property, which allows us to really customize our wedding. There are also tons of great places to have your pictures taken. The house is such a nice feature because it allows you plenty of space to get ready during the day. The guys love the Groom's Room, it has a lot to keep them entertained! The Dressing Room was my favorite because the 3-way mirror makes for awesome pictures. The overnight stay was a huge deciding factor for us. Setting up decorations, having a rehearsal dinner, and hanging out with my bridal party made things stress-free and really enjoyable. Another great feature is that they do the set up of chairs and tables. This allowed my family to relax and enjoy the day. So many great things to say about The Legacy! I highly recommend it.

I had my wedding at the Legacy on Saturday June 04, 2016 with an overnight stay the Friday before. We had 250 guest + some overflow. i wish i could go back and relive my wedding day, everything was amazing! I’ve worked with Alex with the planning of my entire wedding. She was wonderful and great to work with and always answered my questions within a timely matter. She always kept me informed of the updates that was taking place and did the best she could to accommodate to my wish lists. She is very friendly and personable. The venue itself is beyond gorgeous. Upon my visit in May a few things were still being done, but the Legacy Team worked hard and fast to get things done for my wedding. The house itself, is wonderfully remodeled and accommodate my large family very well. It felt homey and cozy! (Make sure you have a good cleaning crew because they do not do any cleaning after the reception, nor do they have a dumpster to throw trash away, you are responsible to find people for this or take care of it yourself)Suggestions/Comments:Get markers/signs to mark the rows for parking. This will allow for better/closer parking by guests. Provide a dumpster for usage. Yes it’s an eyesore, but it’ll be easier for those who do not have trucks to load trash and will make it much easier for those who have to clean up theirselves. It would of been nice to have been reminded of this so we could of better prepared for the trash or arranged for a dumpster ourselves. Saturday night while we were cleaning up, my family was told that we had to vacuum and mop the entire house, they were not happy about this. After reviewing the contract, there was no mention of having to mop or vacuum. The staff was wonderful to work with, however we had a few issues that my family ran into with the older lady. I had a few family members tell me that the older lady was being rude. They overheard her talking to another staff complaining about how “messy” things were and how some things were ruined. If I paid for the rental of the house and had to clean, we should of been able to use the house/venue to our liking. Overall, I am happy with how things turned out minus the few issues we encountered. Alex was a pleasure to work with and made things as easiest as possible. The venue is definitely a great option if you wish to have an outdoor wedding and reception! You’ll love the house and space, you won’t regret it!

We were very impressed when we visited The Legacy. For being a new venue, they were very organized and well put together. We really loved the proximity to everything we love in the Northland. It's not often you come across a venue that you can both have your wedding at and stay at that is north of the river. It's like having a destination wedding in our hometown! We are so excited to be using The Legacy for our wedding!
