We absolutely loved this event space for our wedding! It was so beautiful by itself that you can skip additional decor to save on costs if needed. Our point of contact changed leading up to our wedding and the change was seamless. Gracie was so wonderful during the many walk throughs and very professional. She was great to work with and made us feel very comfortable about the setup for the day. They were also very flexible and helpful with anything we needed. Highly recommend! Reviewed on 08-08-2023

We hosted our wedding reception at the Library and it was the perfect venue! We got so many compliments from our guests, both about how beautiful the spaces were and how well they functioned for our reception. The staff were organized and easy to work with, clearly communicating their policies and expectations well in advance. The on-site events coordinator made day-of setup a breeze - we did not have a wedding planner and did not need one, as the catering, DJ, and Library teams worked seamlessly together to make sure everything was perfect. Highly recommend! Reviewed on 09-07-2023

This venue was a dream come true! I always wanted to get married in a library and this venue fit the bill. Our guests are still commenting on how unique and fun the venue is. We had 139 guests and it was the perfect size. I think it might’ve felt cramped if there were more though. Gracie was very helpful during the preparation and day of the wedding. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great, unique wedding experience! Reviewed on 27-06-2023
Kate Sercombe(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 15-10-2022 The Library is a stunning venue right in the heart of downtown. A direct elevator in the lobby takes you and your guests straight up to The Library’s own floor. The Library has a complete style of its own, demanding very little decorating work. The space is laid out perfectly for a cocktail hour transitioning into a reception: the front area operates as a bar and lounge on its own when the venue isn’t being used. We worked out a few possible table configurations in the T-shaped reception space and found the photos on the library’s website very helpful in seeing what layouts worked. There are a few rooms for the wedding party or staging in the back of the venue. The bar and lounge space has multiple TV’s that can play any slide shows or videos you have via a simple HDMI connection. The reception space also has an Aux hookup if you’re using a laptop or phone to play music during dinner. The Library does pose some challenges to caterers new to the space, so we found it important to keep our caterer in contact with the management crew. Load in and load out times are not incredibly flexible given the bustle of the loop, so pay attention to the provided schedule and rules. Our reception went off without a hitch; it was one for the books! Kate Bodine(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 09-11-2019 We really loved our venue. The space is incredibly unique, and the event planner, Aurieann, was a pleasure to work with. It is BYOB and very affordable compared to other similar venues. They remodeled the entire front into a bar which is perfect for cocktail hour. If you’re looking for something out of the ordinary but still feels like a wedding, this is the place!! Romantic, accommodating, and incredible views. Reviewed on 26-02-2020
Sylvia Biebel(guest)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 28-09-2019 Attended a wedding last Saturday at The Library. I was unfamiliar with it before then and was so impressed at the uniqueness of the space. It was beautiful. From the lobby entrance and the bar area where the reception started with cocktail hour to the first glimpse of walking into the massive two story Library was magical. The floor to ceiling views on three sides of the room, the neutral and lush decor, the lighting , the books and second story balcony was so impressive. It was a evening. Parking was accessible and reasonable. It was fun to be downtown in the Financial District. So many of my friends children are getting ready to plan weddings and The Library Is now my first suggestion. Just a perfect venue. Reviewed on 03-10-2019
Haley McIntyre(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 21-09-2019 I was lucky enough to find this venue when it was recently being renovated . I was living and working in San Fran and had 8 months to plan my wedding. I spoke with Aurieann over the phone. She sent renderings of what the renovations would look like. I explained my vision. I wanted a party. I wanted some rustic elements. I had my dream. I trusted her and booked it. She made me completely comfortable, and when I moved back to Chicago in June, with her help , we planned the wedding of my dreams in three months. Her resources, knowledge of the industry , and creative genius made for the most incredible night of my life. Everything was perfect. This venue is gorgeous. In an era where every bride is looking for the loft , the barn or the eclectic blank canvas - the Library is the most unique and beautiful setting you could ask for. I never had a chance to be Bridezilla because everything was perfect. My friends, my parents friends, every guest in attendance was wowed by the space and what Aurieann did with it. Nancy Cole(parent)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 21-09-2019 My daughter got married here last week. It was the most amazing experience. The most unique and beautiful venue in the city. We worked with Aurieann and she could not have been more creative and helpful. She took my daughters vision and realized it in every detail. She worked tirelessly to coordinate everything in our behalf. Her knowledge and creativity were immeasurable to us. We had 210 guests with stations for food and band and dj. Every guest was mesmerized by the unique features of the space. The lighting was a photographers dream. The acoustics were perfect for sound. The many soft seating areas were perfect for conversation if you needed a break from the dance floor. You hear many wedding horror stories - this was the most perfect experience for my daughter and every guest that attended. Many thanks to Aurieann and the Library Club. Reviewed on 29-09-2019
