The Lititz Springs Inn & Spa is a bespoke wedding venue located in Lititz, Pennsylvania that provides services to couples celebrating their wedding day. Built in 1764, This historic venue offers the perfect backdrop for couples seeking an exclusive and private wedding venue. The dedicated team prides themselves on their customer focus and offers first-class customer service to every client. They work closely with each client to make their wedding vision a reality. The Lititz Springs Inn & Spa caters for weddings with up to 150 guests. There are several outdoor and indoor ceremony sites available where couples can exchange vows, take wedding photos, and mingle with friends. Reception dinners can be held in the magnificent Regency Room, and the large patio is perfect for cocktail receptions. Accommodation is available onsite in the Victorian-style bedrooms or the RockBlock penthouse suites. We are so glad we chose The General Sutter Inn as our rehearsal dinner and wedding reception venue! Thank you to Jeff Merk and his entire team at the Sutter for providing a stunning venue and for making sure we didn’t have to do a single thing but enjoy ourselves last Thursday and Friday evening. On the day of the wedding as well as the months leading up to it, Jeff thought of and tended to EVERY important detail; he patiently answered all of my questions and helped us think through the timeline for the night. He was always ready to make recommendations - he recommended our ceremony venue, the flower shop we used, and our officiant! And he didn't steer us wrong in any of these areas! The night of the wedding, as I was having my dress bustled in the lobby, Jeff took our drink order so that we had wine waiting for us as soon as we entered the reception. From the people at the front desk, to the housekeepers, to the bartenders, to the wait staff - everyone was so friendly and helpful. Some of the wait staff even helped lead the line dances during the reception! At the end of the night, Jeff and his team continued to take care of everything - they even packed up everything in the ballroom that belonged to us as we said goodbye to our friends and family! They truly wanted it to be an enjoyable, stress free experience for us from start to finish. Jeff served all twenty of us at the rehearsal dinner, and everything went so smoothly! We loved the food, and the service left nothing to be desired. As for the wedding, we had our heart set on an outside ceremony, and luckily, we had beautiful weather and were able to have our ceremony at a garden a couple blocks away. If the weather hadn't cooperated, though, Jeff had a Plan B ready, and was always incredibly accommodating. Plus, the ballroom is an exceptional Plan B! All week long, all of our guests have been raving about the delicious food, the beautiful rooms they stayed in, and the breathtaking ballroom. The rooms up on the 3rd floor (the RockBlock Penthouse) are gorgeous, spacious, and comfortable. The third floor has all of the amenities of home (a kitchenette, laundry room, lounge area, patio) - we didn't want to leave. The honeymoon suite is perfect for getting ready in, especially if a fair number of people will be around (lots of seating). Usually a continental breakfast consists of pastries, yogurt, and fruit, but they had fluffy scrambled eggs and some of the best bacon we've ever had (we're convinced there was honey on it, and now we don't want to eat bacon any other way). And we were in the heart of the ever charming town of Lititz. We made sure we didn't have any set plans for the day after our wedding just so we could walk around and enjoy the town with friends who flew in from across the country - and we weren't disappointed. Our time at The Sutter was all we hoped it would be and more. We are especially grateful to Jeff for all of this.

Without a doubt - if you choose the Lititz Springs Inm for your wedding, you absolutely won't regret it! Jeff, the events coordinator is incredible!! He made sure our day ran smoothly and we didn't have to worry about anything. The team there is so professional and kind - they truly go out of their way to ensure everything is as fantastic as it possibly can be! Super responsive to all of our questions and experienced enough to give us a heads up on any potential issues before they could arise. And Jeff is honestly just a really great guy - super friendly and knowledgeable and great to have on your team! The food is incredible and the menu is super customizable, you absolutely can't beat this place for the quality of service and affordability! 11/10 would recommend!!!!

Seriously just the best day! Hotel - From the moment we checked into the inn on Friday to when we left Sunday, everything was amazing! The staff at the hotel was so helpful and introduced themselves as soon as they saw us. They made sure we had everything we needed for our stay and more. The venue - we had amazing luck that the larger space wasn't being used on Friday so we were able to get in and start placing things and arranging flowers. But besides that, everyone knows the venue is beautiful. And it did not disappoint. It looked absolutely lovely and the team set up the tables and the back bar area perfectly. Saturday night team - Jeff's team was awesome! Super helpful and had a blast right along with us. Jeff - what more can I say that hasn't already been said. Jeff has been absolutely fantastic from when we first viewed the venue until the end of the wedding. He was so attentive, helpful, and easy to work with. Anything that we asked, he just said yes. Communicating with him via email was great and he always confirmed that he received my many emails. During the wedding, Jeff was the best. He was consistently asking me if there was anything I needed and anticipated things that I hadn't even asked for yet. And guests let me know afterwards that Jeff was also checking in with them to make sure they had everything they needed as well. Overall - everything exceeded my expectations and I would recommend Lititz Springs Inn to anyone.

Truly a dream come true! We had such a wonderful wedding at Lititz Springs Inn and Spa, many thanks to Jeff and his team for making our wedding day smooth, easy, and everything we ever wanted. As our day approached, we started to worry about rain—Jeff made sure that I was calm and confident that his team would take care of everything. And let me tell you, they were so responsive and flexible that we ended up being glad for the rain! This venue gets 10 out of 5 stars for flexibility for sure. They took great care of me, my husband, and our parents all night, making sure we had everything we needed.One word of caution, we did have a larger party for the size of the venue, which I think contributed to the speed of service. The whole team was incredibly competent and pleasant, but service did take significantly longer than estimated. Luckily, our band was incredible and made up for lost time on the dance floor.But honestly don’t let that one element deter! (The venue offers several styles of service so there is a lot of flexibility). This venue had everything we wanted AND at the most affordable price we’ve ever seen.

We are so happy my mom told us about The Lititz Springs Inn & Spa. That led us to meeting and working with Jeff Merk and his team, which ended in the most spactacular wedding we could have ever dreamed of. Jeff was super easy to get a hold of and very accommodating to not only our wants and needs but my families as well. Jeff and his team made everything move so seemlessly and effortlessly that I knew no matter what happened on the day of, our wedding was in the best hands. Jeff was always willing to answer questions any way he could and he actually encouraged it. Jeff made us feel like we were apart of the family and took great care of us even leading up to the wedding day. He ensured every detail went as planned and the exact way that we wanted it. We ended up having a smaller quest list than we anticipated and Jeff made it super easy to move the seating around to maximize on the space. When I walked into the reception and saw everything for the first time I was elated at what was before my eyes. I have been planning my wedding since I was a little girl, and to my husband, for the longest time. To see everything that I imagined in my head and on my weddings boards come to life filled me with so much joy because it couldnt be more perfect. Seeing that Jeff got every detail right in the layout of the entire room without anything to go on but my words, was incredible. Jeff truly has a talent for transforming the space into the most incredible, magical room. We appreciate Jeff and his team for all the hard work that went into making our wedding day the best day of our lives. Our family and friends can't stop talking about how beautiful everything turned out, how nice Jeff and his team were, and how amazing the food was; and in my family that's good thing!

We got married at the Lititz Spring Inn in September and could not recommend this venue, hotel and staff enough! The event manager, Jeff Merk is spectacular. He was truly amazing and really helped to walk us through every step ensuring no detail was missed. Jeff made time for each email, sent Pin and meeting to create the tone and mood for the evening. The already beautiful banquet room was turned into the romantic vision I had been dreaming of. My guests were gushing over what a gem we had found in the Lititz Inn. From the food and the level of service, to the room accommodations for those of us who stayed in the hotel, it was simply perfect. A big thanks to Jeff and his team for making our day seamless, stress free and beautiful. I cannot recommend this venue enough! We will be back for our anniversary!

If I were to describe the services of Jeff and his staff in one phrase I would say above and beyond! They took such care with everything detail for my wedding to make it a dream come true. They were accommodating with all dietary needs brought to them and trust me I had a lot of them! Jeff was ready to answer any question me or the moms had whether it be via email, phone, or in person. The girls who worked both events showered all of us in love and kindness. I could not recommend this venue enough. There is no where else I would’ve had my event. By far the best in the lancaster area!!! I had guests coming to me all night and days after saying that it was the best wedding they had attended and I truly believe the bulk of the credit goes to Jeff and the banquet ladies.

The Lititz Springs Inn was absolutely phenomenal for our wedding!!! Jeff was extremely accommodating, easy going, and helpful. He made our wedding day run smoothly. They totally knocked it out of the park with the food for our rehearsal dinner and wedding night! It was incredible! We had so many of our guests tell us how great it was and how nice all the staff was. They love what they do and it shows. They also have 13 hotel rooms upstairs so our entire bridal party, parents, and grandparents got to stay at the inn! It was really convenient to have hotel rooms right upstairs for the wedding. Can’t say enough great things about them. Thank you Jeff and staff for making our wedding day so great and special.

We were thrilled to have our daughter's wedding and also the rehearsal dinner at The Lititz Springs Inn and Spa. Jeff Merk was informative throughout the process and kept us up to date on everything. We had a fantastic time and delicious food at the tasting prior to the event and the food that was served that evening was equally delicious. The venue is beautiful, the staff were excellent, and it could not have been a better evening. We had 126 people and it was really seamless. Jeff was calm and assisted with everything from serving us appetizers to keeping us informed about everything that was happening throughout the evening. In addition to the reception, we also rented all of the rooms in the hotel and they were all wonderful. There was a common area with a full kitchen and even an outdoor space. We were able to host a small group of guests before and after the wedding. It was fantastic to be with family and friends all weekend. Jeff said our house is your house for the weekend and he meant it. We felt like royalty.This venue is amazing and we are hoping to use it for our son in the future. It was wonderful! My only complaint was that the weekend was over too soon.

We had the most amazing wedding at Lititz Springs Inn and Spa. As soon as we entered the room, we knew it was special. The space is absolutely gorgeous and worked well for both our ceremony and reception. While we loved the space itself, another huge reason we went with this venue is because the venue coordinator, Jeff, was fantastic from the very beginning. He was the only person that sat down with us at the first meeting and went over every single detail. He took the time with us to make sure everything was perfect, and it all paid off. Every time we had questions or concerns, he always answered them and put us at ease. The whole experience went very smoothly because of how much of a help he and his team were. Another reason you will want to go with this venue is because the food is amazing. There is a restaurant in the building itself, so you know they take pride in their food. All of our guests raved about how both our chicken and beef options turned out. Everything was so convenient about this venue because of how we were able to do so many things through it. We got our venue, food, alcohol, rehearsal dinner, and even some hotel rooms for the wedding party all in the same building. We would also recommend this place to anyone because of how affordable it is. They don’t charge you a fee for the venue space at all, but rather just for the amount of food and alcohol you’ll be using. Everything about this place is perfect, and we would recommend it to anyone!

We had the most amazing wedding at Lititz Springs Inn and Spa. As soon as we entered the room, we knew it was special. The space is absolutely gorgeous and worked well for both our ceremony and reception. While we loved the space itself, another huge reason we went with this venue is because the venue coordinator, Jeff, was fantastic from the very beginning. He was the only person that sat down with us at the first meeting and went over every single detail. He took the time with us to make sure everything was perfect, and it all paid off. Every time we had questions or concerns, he always answered them and put us at ease. The whole experience went very smoothly because of how much of a help he and his team were. Another reason you will want to go with this venue is because the food is amazing. There is a restaurant in the building itself, so you know they take pride in their food. All of our guests raved about how both our chicken and beef options turned out. Everything was so convenient about this venue because of how we were able to do so many things through it. We got our venue, food, alcohol, rehearsal dinner, and even some hotel rooms for the wedding party all in the same building. We would also recommend this place to anyone because of how affordable it is. They don’t charge you a fee for the venue space at all, but rather just for the amount of food and alcohol you’ll be using. Everything about this place is perfect, and we would recommend it to anyone!

Jeff was so attentive to details and professional. We, including our guests, loved the venue, food, and exceptional service!Brides - I recommend a wedding reception here because you get such a gorgeous, intimate, and historic venue with no venue fee. Your cost includes only the food, drinks, and gratuity. With that you get exceptional service and delicious food to choice from. When we were shopping around for weddings venues, I was sold on how beautiful the inn is and how simply easy the food/drink/venue planning was with this venue. I considered myself a bridechilla and I have Jeff and his team to thank for that. Jeff worked closely with my vendors during the wedding day so all events ran to my wedding day timeline. He made sure the patio was clean, my decorations were out beautifully and how I requested them, and that everyone was happy. He made sure our flowers were chilled and ready for me before I left to the church ceremony. I had full trust that everything was going to be perfect, and it sure was! Getting married during COVID was nerve-racking but honestly all the staff helped us and our guests feel at ease and safe.Majority of our guests came from out of town and it was a terrific location to have a wedding reception because of all the close lodging. Many guests stayed in the inn and at the Wilbur (within walking distance down the street). All the guestS that stayed in the inn, could continue the party on the 3rd floor of the inn in the common areas (kitchen, living room with couches, and outdoor deck) after the reception. It was so fun us and for our guests. I could go on and on but I have nothing but positive things to say about our wedding reception at the Lititz Springs Inn and Spa. We wish we could relive our day over and over again! Can’t wait to visit again!

I am so happy that the General Sutter Inn was recommended to us for our wedding! Our wedding was so beautiful, the venue and ambiance is stunning! Jeff was amazing, he coordinated absolutely everything and made the whole process effortless! We had our rehearsal dinner, wedding ceremony and reception all at the Sutter. The food is beyond amazing, all of my guests were blown away by how delicious all of the courses were. Planning the event during a pandemic was stressful enough, but Jeff was very accommodating and flexible! In the case we weren’t able to have our wedding inside as planned he had arranged for out door space on the premises. All of the lights and decor were set up prior to the big day and made the space absolutely magical! The rooms in the inn that we stayed in were spectacular and beautifully decorated! Jeff was there every step of way, he made sure we were happy and had the best experience, and he delivered! After the reception the staff carefully packed away all of our decorations and keepsakes so all we had to do was load up the car! We had the best experience and highly recommended the Sutter!

I was also very concerned with making sure we would be able follow COVID guidelines and have a safe wedding and Jeff and the team made that all possible with social distancing the tables and chairs and creating a reception plan that made it easier to follow guidelines. The service was amazing! Jeff and his team went above and beyond to help accommodate our wedding during these challenging times. He helped us change plans when we needed to without asking for anything in return and made sure every detail was perfect during our wedding day. You’d be crazy to not at least consider this venue! The value is amazing, the staff is wonderful, Jeff is extremely helpful and keeps the schedule rolling the day of the wedding so you can focus more on all your responsibilities while he gives reminders and is the glue that keeps everything together. The venue is gorgeous, the bartenders were great, the food was phenomenal, and the vendor recommendations were on point. The General Sutter Inn is extremely clean and well maintained in the beautiful town of Lititz which everyone including out of state relatives said was the perfect small town for a wedding. I cannot think of one negative thing to say about our experience. THANK YOU JEFF!

The General Sutter Inn was an absolutely beautiful venue. We held our rehearsal dinner and wedding here. Both the grounds and Inn are beautiful so it was a perfect arrangement from beginning to end. During these unprecedented times we had many concerns for the safety of our guests. Jeff Merk was extremely helpful and managed everything in a professional and caring manner.The food was wonderful. We loved staying in the Inn. We loved having the ability to hold small after parties on the third floor with our family and close friends after the rehearsal dinner and the night of the wedding.No matter what we needed or who we asked, the staff was superbly helpful. We had our wedding here and it was an amazing experience. The wedding coordinator Jeff and his staff are first class all the way. It was the best day of our lives. The housekeeping staff were so nice, we had multiple offers to help us set up/clean up. The front desk staff were very attentive, very kind, and so helpful. One of our international guests needed to catch a bus to NYC and the taxi they called never showed up. We had already left and one of the staff drove them to the bus station in their personal vehicle so they wouldn’t miss it. Jeff was with me every step of the way, checking on me, making sure I ate, was drinking water, and that things ran smoothly. He made it easy and I felt very taken care of. Thank you for making this special weekend amazing. There is nothing that could have made it better. It was perfect. BTW the carriage/horses we used from Running Springs Farm was fantastic. Top notch! Thank you for suggesting them.

Hands down the best venue we ever could have picked. Everything was so beautiful and seamless. The wedding coordinator Jeff made things happen when needed, coordinated what we wanted, kept open communication, made sure my husband and I had food and drinks, kept us happy and not stressed! We used the Sutter for the ceremony and reception. Everyone had a wonderful time and kept complimenting how amazing everything looked, how friendly the staff were and how great the food tasted. If we could redo our wedding here every weekend we would! We will continue to come back to this charming little slice of heaven for decades to come!

We had the most amazing and perfect wedding day at the General Sutter Inn!I cannot say enough about Jeff and the whole staff at the Inn and how they made everything easy, stress free, and so fun! We took over the Inn and our family and bridal party stayed the whole weekend. SO FUN!! The guys used the 3rd floor and the girls the 2nd to get ready and it was perfect! Jeff was there every step of the way and the day of to make sure we were happy and all was running smooth. Our ceremony and reception were both at the venue and I want to relive it all again! Everyone kept talking about how perfect the day was! My whole family loves Jeff and he went above and beyond to make the day amazing! It was truly the most amazing venue and day! We had 135 guests and moved tables to dance. Everything was seamless, the food was delicious, and we had the best wedding day! Everything I had an idea for or moving things or flowers to be put on tables Jeff said \"no problem.\" He is amazing and I would recommend the Sutter to anyone and everyone! Also, amazing pricing!

I wish I could convey in a simple review how AMAZING our experience was. First of all, Jeff (the coordinator) went above and beyond in every possible way. ANY concern we had, any idea we had, any trouble we ran into, he was there to correct, explain, fix, make happen, and take it out of our hands. I am a pretty Type-A person so \"handing over\" my day to someone else made me pretty nervous. Once we started working with Jeff, those fears went away COMPLETELY. The venue itself was perfect for us. We had 130 guests and the way Jeff had us set up the space made it feel full and cozy without feeling cramped at all. We had plenty of room for everyone, and for all of the various dessert tables, guest book areas, etc. The food is incredible and we had many guests rave about the best wedding food they've ever had (especially the tomato soup)! The room was recently upgraded with a brand-new sound system, and we made our own playlist that my brothers ran. It was awesome. We had a rainy day, but the Inn and the area around it are so picturesque, we still got beautiful photos and had a wonderful day.Speaking frankly - planning a wedding isn't always the sunshine and rainbows that you're led to believe it may be. We had a few issues and bumps along the way, and I firmly believe if we had not chosen the Sutter (and mainly Jeff!), we wouldn't have ended up having the most amazing day ever.I CANNOT recommend this place enough. It's unbelievably affordable (!!!!!), gorgeous, located in a really neat area for out-of-town guests to explore, and staffed with the KINDEST and most capable team of people. I am so thankful to this day that our wedding took place here. We will cherish every moment!

You will not find a better situated medium to small venue location for your wedding and/or reception than the General Sutter. We had a reception for 75, and it was handled professionally and with all the attention to detail you would hope for by Jeff Merck, event manager for the Inn. Jeff offered two meetings to finalize our plan, then a tasting of multiple entrees (we requested a sit-down served meal) and then stayed in touch in the final months leading up to the big day to be sure we had all we needed. Highlights? The food - which was excellent, as was the service and the set up of the room. The ambience was great and the sound system very good. I can honestly say things went off without a hitch.Things that kept me from giving this a full five star rating were minimal, but did impact guests a bit. The lack of parking spaces for guests staying at the hotel (we pretty much booked the whole Inn) and no method by which to verify that the cars parked in the few spaces they have were actually Inn guests was a glaring problem. Parking as a whole in Lititz is tough, and when they are having a festival or busy weekend, it is even tougher. Why the Inn doesn't - at minimum, provide VIP parking tags for the dash or mirror of their cars so that staff can check and be sure that the spaces are used by paying customers is puzzling. It's a simple fix and I'm sure it would aleviate some of the angst guests feel when they pull in to find every spot taken. Ultimately, of course, getting enough parking spaces to reflect the number of rooms available in the Inn would be the best fix. Hopefully, they can accomplish that down the road.But other than that, it was a wonderful, professional experience from start to finish as far as the reception went. Would highly recommend for groups of 125 or fewer.

Jeff had water bottles and glasses for us, and even opened a second room for more space to relax. After the ceremony, we were running way behind our reception schedule and as soon as we arrived on site, Jeff had a drink in our hands and hors d'oeuvres for the entire bridal party and parents. Throughout the evening he was incredibly attentive (but never over bearing), we never even set foot in the room with the bar, he made sure we ate, had drinks, and had a fantastic time. He took care of all of the details, his team even decorated our cake last minute! All of our guests raved about the food and service. The room was set up beautifully and it was by far the best value we got for our wedding day. Jeff and his team are masters at what they do and genuinely took the stress out of everything for our day! This is hand's down, Lancaster's best kept secret in terms of a wedding venue!

10/10 super happy with this venue. Jeff and the rest of the staff were very easy to work with -- good communication and very accommodating to our needs and budget. The food we chose was delicious, and they were able to customize a few things to our needs. Our wedding was on the small side and our out-of-town guests appreciated being able to stay on the property without feeling like they were in a mass chain hotel. Everything you're looking for in a venue!

10/10 super happy with this venue. Jeff and the rest of the staff were very easy to work with -- good communication and very accommodating to our needs and budget. The food we chose was delicious, and they were able to customize a few things to our needs. Our wedding was on the small side and our out-of-town guests appreciated being able to stay on the property without feeling like they were in a mass chain hotel. Everything you're looking for in a venue!

It has been just over a week since we had our wedding reception at the General Sutter Inn, and we cannot stop talking about the incredible experience we had. The cost was exceptionally reasonable, and above all else, Jeff Merk and his team were next-level kind and efficient. The ballroom was the perfect size for 100 of our friends and family, the third floor Rock Block Penthouse was a huge hit amongst our friends. Highly, highly recommend.

It has been just over a week since we had our wedding reception at the General Sutter Inn, and we cannot stop talking about the incredible experience we had. The cost was exceptionally reasonable, and above all else, Jeff Merk and his team were next-level kind and efficient. The ballroom was the perfect size for 100 of our friends and family, the third floor Rock Block Penthouse was a huge hit amongst our friends. Highly, highly recommend.

The General Sutter Inn is a beautiful venue. Working with the event coordinator, Jeff Merk, was such a wonderful experience. He made us feel special and made sure every detail was taken care of. The day perfectly met my vision. The food was wonderful and Jeff worked with us to build our perfect menu - everyone loved the mac & cheese and fried pickles! The staff was great and incredibly attentive. We had both our ceremony & reception in the main ballroom and it was beautiful. The room turnover was seamless. Jeff Merk was professional and always prompt to return phone calls and emails. We were lucky enough to have many guests stay over in the hotel as well and continued our celebration in the 3rd floor Rock Block hotel lounge. All the hotel rooms were nicely decorated, spacious, and clean. The General Sutter Inn was the perfect venue and thanks to Jeff Merk and his team, our day was perfect, too. Thanks so much, Jeff!

My Husband and I had the best wedding ceremony and reception at the Sutter Inn. Jeff helped us every step of the way. He put our worries to rest and answered any questions we had. Every guest at our wedding couldn’t stop talking about how great of a venue the Inn was. Everyone love, love, loved the food!! Jeff made sure the ceremony and reception were decorated the way we wanted it. I told him the day of I trust him to decorate and he did amazing!! My husband and I had an amazing wedding and wish we could do it all over again at the General Sutter Inn!! We will be telling everyone about the Inn and how great of a place it is just to eat at but also for events.

Oh my gosh!! Jeff Merk at the General Sutter Inn is AWESOME!! We can’t put it any other way! Right from the first day we met with him to decide on a venue to have our wedding reception to the day after the actual event, we couldn’t have been happier with his services! He set up a date for “tasting” choosing from three different entrees and met again with him to lay out the space for the reception. He is an excellent listener and takes very good notes and he and his staff set it up exactly as we wanted. The food was delicious! All of our guests commented on the hor’d ourves and the entrees and all were served hot and in a timely manner! As it turned out, we were able to have the larger room for our reception however the smaller room is elegant and intimate also. Jeff is a very good communicator and handled our needs like we were his family. Please don’t hesitate to check out the General Sutter Inn in Lititz, PA for your event! We feel so lucky that we found the General Sutter Inn for our wedding venue! As soon as we arrived and met with Jeff we knew it was the one. It has such a special charm to it and you can’t beat the price for everything you get! Our original plan was to have the ceremony down the street outside and the reception indoors at the Sutter, but Mother Nature had her own plans and Jeff was so accommodating in helping us have the ceremony there also with no extra charge! Every step of the way Jeff was asking what he could help us with. We arrived early Friday and set up the space for our ceremony and after the ceremony Saturday evening the General Sutter Inn staff turned the room around quickly for the reception. We also took full advantage of the 17 rooms that the Sutter has on the second and third floors. Our families and friends booked all of the rooms. We got the suite on the third floor in the Rock Block where there are 6 rooms total! Our bridal party also booked on the third floor and we had the whole floor to ourselves for getting ready and the after party! It includes a hang out room with couch and tv, a private deck, a kitchen, and laundry room! It is amazing! Please check this place out :)

We couldn’t have asked for a better wedding or reception at The General Sutter Inn. Jeff was amazing. We were a small wedding of 27 guests and we were treated as nicely as any large party. He handled everything beautifully down to the last detail. My son and daughter in law had their wedding and reception in the large ballroom and it was gorgeous. The timing of the staff was impeccable. The food was delicious. We had a buffet of steak, chicken, mashed potatoes, soup, house salad and roasted vegetables. The prices were incredibly reasonable for all we had. No extra “hidden charges”. We got to enjoy our guests without any worry of what was coming next. Jeff took care of it all. The bride and groom are given a beautiful room upstairs at the Inn to use whenever they would like and our bride and groom chose to stay there on their wedding night. If I had to change one thing it would be how close our chairs were set up to the bride and groom during the ceremony. As the parents sitting in the first row, it was a little hard to see anything but their backs. That being said, The General Sutter Inn still gets 5 stars for quality service, value and elegance. We couldn’t have chosen a better venue!

For a venue that has over 52 weddings booked in 40 weeks they sure did treat me as if I was their only bride and main priority! Right off the bat Jeff worked with our budget and short notice booking when our original venue choice was going back on their word and trying to charge us more. I think every bride can relate that as soon as you mention the word \"wedding\" the prices sky rocket. I had reached out to Jeff Via email about possibly booking with them because I was not happy with our original choice. Jeff had told me that unfortunately they were all booked up that weekend. I had asked to come in and meet with him anyway and he agreed to do so. Once we could talk in person he felt for our situation with the other venue and figured out a way to get us in if we were willing to start just a few hours earlier. This made my day! The quote he gave us was a quarter of what the other venue was trying to charge us and we were getting more for our money with him. It was very special to us to find a venue in Lititz because this is our hometown and we love it here! Jeff was prompt in responding to any questions that I had in the weeks leading up to the wedding. I was also staying the night before the wedding with my bridesmaids to get ready there and he let me come in and look at all their newly remolded rooms to pick out my favorites. On the night before the wedding we decided it would be a smart idea to steam, iron, and use a blow dryer all on one outlet and so we blew the circuit. Christian and Jeff were up there in minutes to check on us and even gave us a complimentary room to move to. Then in the morning it was so chaotic in and out of three rooms girls getting their hair and makeup done and so we were running a little late for the ceremony so Jeff just had us throw all of our stuff in one room and they cleaned up everything for us. Pack our belongings and had them waiting for us in a safe place. So I mean it when I say five stars all around! -Raisa

My husband and I had our second date here 2 ½ years ago; we didn’t know we would wind getting married here. After we got engaged we began looking for a venue where we could have our ceremony and reception all at the same location and it was a little overwhelming (cost especially). The evening we went to meet the venue coordinator Jeff Merk and see the ballroom, we loved it. He sat down, gave us a tour, and showed us all of our options and what we immediately got a sense about was he was honest, and just wanted us to have a wonderful experience; we booked our spot that evening. This past Saturday we got married and I cannot express how perfect the whole day was. The venue, but most importantly Jeff Merk and the whole staff had such a big part in making our wedding even more special (our guests included!). Flexibility: we were given so much freedom in how we could decorate. They let us use their ladders, come in two days early to hang our drapery and white lights. Meal Options: the quality, quantity, and willingness to accommodate special food requests for some of our guests (i.e. gluten free, vegetarian, food allergies) was more than I could have hoped for Attentiveness and efficiency: Jeff Merk would check in with myself and my husband, asking if we needed anything throughout the whole wedding day and evening and would even bring us a cocktail of our choice. The whole staff brought out all served dinners to each table efficiently and were always friendly.*At the end of the evening, the staff gathered all our table décor and put them in a room where we could pack it up the next morning; it made it so easy. Lodging: We stayed rehearsal evening and the night of our wedding at the Inn which made it relaxed (I loved having the fresh breakfast served in the dining room) and we had several family and friends who enjoyed their stay there too! I had shared with other brides-to-be before we were married and even more so will I recommend General Sutter Inn. Thank you Jeff Merk and staff for the wonderful experience and all of your hard work!

The venue, but most importantly Jeff Merk and the whole staff had such a big part in making our wedding even more special (our guests included!). Flexibility: we were given so much freedom in how we could decorate. They let us use their ladders, come in two days early to hang our drapery and white lights. Meal Options: the quality, quantity, and willingness to accommodate special food requests for some of our guests (i.e. gluten free, vegetarian, food allergies) was more than I could have hoped for Attentiveness and efficiency: Jeff Merk would check in with myself and my husband, asking if we needed anything throughout the whole wedding day and evening and would even bring us a cocktail of our choice. The whole staff brought out all served dinners to each table efficiently and were always friendly.*At the end of the evening, the staff gathered all our table décor and put them in a room where we could pack it up the next morning; it made it so easy. Lodging: We stayed rehearsal evening and the night of our wedding at the Inn which made it relaxed (I loved having the fresh breakfast served in the dining room) and we had several family and friends who enjoyed their stay there too! I had shared with other brides-to-be before we were married and even more so will I recommend General Sutter Inn. Thank you Jeff Merk and staff for the wonderful experience and all of your hard work!

If you’re looking for a nice all inclusive space for a wedding of less than 100 people this is your spot. This is still the best kept wedding secret in Lancaster county. If you’re looking for a venue that isn’t a barn or a farm then this is your spot! We were just married 3/10/18 at the Sutter and we are so thankful to Jeff and the staff for everything they did to make our day so special. The whole thing ran smoothly from beginning to end. We met Jeff back in June 2017 and were planning on a Dec 2017 wedding. Plans had to change so we moved it back to March and Jeff was able to accommodate us no problem! On our wedding day Everyone was complimenting Jeff and found the inn to be quaint and charming. We had 55 guests attend the day and there was plenty of room for everyone to move comfortably. The food was delicious! The food we chose during our tasting was beef tips, Orange chicken, mashed potatoes, broccoli and cauliflower, rolls, loaded sweet potato soup and apple and blue cheese salad. Jeff was extremely accommodating to all of our needs and requests. They were able to set up the room as I requested and had no problems setting the decorations up and taking them down. We stayed in the Rock Block suites in the “on stage” room. Everyone raved about the cool shower (it was amazing). The groom’s party got ready in the living room area in the rock block floor while myself and my bridesmaids got ready in the suite. The bed was comfortable and they offered complimentary robes and soft drinks, complimentary continental breakfast in the living room area of the floor and full complimentary breakfast downstairs in the dining area. For our next major event we will think of the Sutter first!

Our family and friends had joined us to celebrate our marriage and it was The General Sutter Inn and Bull’s Head Public House that made it perfect. When we originally started looking for a wedding reception venue, we juggled between having a large wedding vs a smaller close family wedding. So after our meal we noticed that they were doing work on the banquet room so we checked it out. Awesome space and very beautiful. We said to each other “could this be it?!” So we began asking questions at the front desk. We were contacted by Jeff Merk. This guy is the event coordinator you want for your reception. We told him our vision and it was all put together. Jeff set up multiple appointments for us where we went over the table setup to our linens. Oh, the menu tasting was beyond awesome. They let us try full plates of our selected menu. That was huge for me. You want to know that the food your friends and family will be served is of the highest quality - General Sutter’s sets that bar. Jeff set up our menu, reviewed our table layout, and broke down our butler service for the reception. We had no questions left unanswered. The icing on the cake for us was the beautiful room and the gorgeous Christmas tree with decorations. Best part about a December wedding at the Sutter is that all the decorations are included with the room.Overall, we had an outstanding experience and would highly recommend this location to anyone who is planning a wedding in the Lancaster area.

Book it now. Don't bother looking anywhere else, this is your place. No barns, no chain hotels, this place is what you need. Don't waste you money on ridiculous fees or being forced to pick from a list of approved cooks or DJs, just book here. Let's start with Jeff, the event coordinator. Weddings are stressful to plan, but I mean it, anything you wanted or needed, months in advance or day of, he could and did make happen. He is laid back but also very creative which makes the entire process so much less stressful. Our wedding would not have been the same without his help and his knowledge of the industry and what works and doesn't work is spot on. He gets it and then some! Give this guy a raise. The venue itself was perfect for our Gatsby style. The natural decor of the building made picture taking easy and is within walking distance of MANY places. The ballroom was very spacious even with us maxing out capacity! Plenty of room for dancing and the patio was great as a place to take a breather, or in our case, hold the ceremony itself. They have the top of the line sound system both inside and outside along with multicolored lights and patterns if needed. The hotel itself held our group and you have the option to rent out entire floors (if available) which we did and had access to a full kitchen with a stove top, oven, full sized fridge, etc. We picked out 3 entrees all of which were delicious. We could have picked out more as during the tasting we tried a ton of different options, all of which were very good. The rest of the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, all of which made the guests happy and my wife and I more calm. So to reiterate, don't waste your time looking anywhere else. This is the place you need for your special day. Book it now!

My husband Tom and I had our son and Daughter-in-law's rehearsal dinner at the General Sutter Inn on June 25, 2017. This was our first experience planning a rehearsal dinner and Jeff Merk helped us plan every step of the way. We had a beautiful room with plenty of space for our 35 guests. Jeff set up pub style tables for the first hour of mingling and then we had tables beautifully set for our sit down dinner. The food was delicious from appetizers which included the cheese and meat platter to all our dinner selections. Jeff and his team were there the whole time making sure everyone was taken care of. We had 90 out-of-town guests invited, so we rented the entire inn, and Jeff gave recommendations for other local inns as well. When the day finally came, everything was beyond our expectations. The ballroom was stunning, the food was amazing, the accommodations were comfortable, and Jeff and his team helped the event flow seamlessly from ceremony to reception. Multiple times throughout the night, Jeff made time to check in with us and make sure we had absolutely everything we needed. At the end of the night he assured us that our rowdy friends were welcome to continue to enjoy the inn upstairs - after all, our party were the only guests. He made us feel like we were at home, and we did.It’s been a month since we said “I do”, and we’re still getting messages from guests lettings us know how good the food was and how much they enjoyed themselves. We were married at the General Sutter April 2017, and we had an unforgettable experience. We used the ballroom for our ceremony and reception and the patio for cocktail hour. Our family and friends stayed at the bed and breakfast for the weekend which made it an incredible experience. Jeff, the event coordinator was very helpful. He went out of his way to make our friends and family comfortable. He and the staff were available for any last minute requests related to our event, which of course, always happen! He was very flexible to our itinerary and was very present during our event for any issues that arose. You could tell that he enjoys what he does, because he went out of his way to make my day as a bride special. My husband, family, and friends were very complimentary of the food as well. Dinner was served on time and hot and the bar service was what you could hope to have. Jeff worked with our family to help meet our budget needs and make the day a true celebration. We couldn't have been happier with how our wedding weekend turned out, and Jeff and the staff at the Sutter were a huge part of that success.

We were married at the General Sutter April 2017, and we had an unforgettable experience. We used the ballroom for our ceremony and reception and the patio for cocktail hour. Our family and friends stayed at the bed and breakfast for the weekend which made it an incredible experience. Jeff, the event coordinator was very helpful. He went out of his way to make our friends and family comfortable. He and the staff were available for any last minute requests related to our event, which of course, always happen! He was very flexible to our itinerary and was very present during our event for any issues that arose. You could tell that he enjoys what he does, because he went out of his way to make my day as a bride special. My husband, family, and friends were very complimentary of the food as well. Dinner was served on time and hot and the bar service was what you could hope to have. Jeff worked with our family to help meet our budget needs and make the day a true celebration. We couldn't have been happier with how our wedding weekend turned out, and Jeff and the staff at the Sutter were a huge part of that success.

We were so pleased with our daughter's St Patrick's Day wedding reception at the General Sutter Inn. The venue is beautiful and historic. The event planner, Jeff Merk was wonderful to work with. He was very pleasant, forthright with pricing (no hidden fees) and extremely accommodating. He made planning the reception a breeze. He even hooked us up with a local bagpiper we hired to introduce the newlyweds into their reception!The bride & groom chose five hot butlered hors d' ourves which were all delicious. Jeff made sure the wedding party was greeted (after arriving from the wedding ceremony at Linden Hall Chapel) with plenty of drinks and hors d' ourves while they waited outside the reception room to be formally \"introduced\". They also chose to have an open bar, served garden salad and a buffet that included the 6 oz tenderloin, stuffed brie chicken and crab croquette entrees. Our guests raved about the variety of tasty entrees, some even tried all three... but the crab croquettes were hands down the favorite. Jeff saved the day when he told us the chef fixed our wedding cake... after we discovered it accidentally fell over during transport!!! He made sure all our decorations and guest tables were set up perfectly as discussed. We really appreciated Jeff was available and attentive throughout the entire reception, giving special attention to the newlyweds and their parents. He even dismissed a few wedding crashers he discovered trying to sneak into our awesome \"DJ Freez\" dance party. lol (DJ Freez is the best, so talented and professional!) We rented out the whole 3rd floor \"Rock Lititz\" Penthouse for the evening, which we highly recommend. It was the perfect place to unwind after the reception for a small after party. We thought the rooms were all very nice and the beds were especially comfortable.The Continental breakfast included with our overnight stay was very good. We were pleasantly surprised to find bacon and eggs available as well as a variety of cold options. All in all... It was a wonderful experience and we wouldn't have changed a thing!

My husband and I always had a full drink in our hands, and everything ran completely seamlessly! Throughout planning, Jeff was beyond helpful. He was very flexible with our menu, as my family and I have numerous food allergies. Most places charge you extra for menu changes, but he included it all in the (very reasonable) price. He even went out and bought gluten-free soy sauce for me! Over all, I could not have asked for a better reception venue. The ballroom has been redone, and it is absolutely gorgeous! Very well updated, and pretty enough that we didn't have to decorate at all beyond centerpieces.I would recommend the General Sutter to anyone and everyone. Best. Place. Ever.

My wife Susan and I hosted our son and daughter-in-law' rehearsal dinner in the ballroom at the beautiful General Sutter Inn in Lititz. on November 4th, and what a delight it was. From the horderves to the meal choices we made (we selected Filet Mignon or Pork Loin, with optional Crab Cake), the food was fantastic and the atmosphere was beautiful. We worked with Jeff Merk, who we can't say enough good things about. We delivered some items to the room before leaving for the rehearsal, and when I returned a few minutes later (having forgotten something), there was Jeff, in our room, going over each chair with a cloth to make sure everything was spotless. Throughout our experience, it was just so clear how much he loves to make sure his guests are happy. And we sure were happy. I enthusiastically recommend either the ballroom or the smaller private room for rehearsal dinners or wedding receptions. You won't be disappointed!

My husband and I were married at the General Sutter Inn and it was one of the best decisions we made for the entire wedding! The venue itself is beautiful and its history made it unique. It was recently renovated and looks great. The best part of the Inn is the staff, particularly Jeff Merk. Jeff was an indispensable part of our wedding experience and made sure the wedding day ran as smoothly as possible. He was always available for questions and didn't hesitate to offer advice or suggestions for our reception. The food was great as well as the service. All of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was and how much they enjoyed the food and drinks! We were also able to book rooms at the inn upstairs for the wedding party and out of town family. This made everything much less stressful, and we were able to have a full weekend to be with loved ones and relax and enjoy our time. General Sutter offers a beautiful venue, great food and drink, gorgeous rooms at the inn, and an amazing staff. You'd be hard pressed to find a better venue in Lancaster County. We highly recommend General Sutter Inn to future couples!

We chose the General Sutter Inn as our reception venue because of its historical nature and beautiful decor. I wanted a place in which the room would stand out on its own with minimal decorating. The Sutter more than met our expectations! The assistance of the banquet manager, Jeff Merk, helped make our reception absolutely perfect. We had pretty high demands, but he met every one of them. He thinks of every detail and assures that everything runs like a well-oiled machine. The entire staff at the General Sutter Inn was extremely helpful and professional, both during the planning stages of our wedding and reception as well as on the day of the wedding. What really made our experience even better was the very reasonable price of everything. After looking at several venues, we knew this was the right one. It also provided our out-of-town guests a place to stay, and since the wedding and ceremony were in the same place, they did not need to travel anywhere. Some even came a day earlier to explore the lovely town of Lititz. The only down side is that the Sutter does not have elevators to the guest rooms, so some of our guests were unable to stay there because of this. They did, however, provide a ramp into the banquet room for our guest in a wheel chair. We enjoyed spending the night of our wedding in the Rock Lititz suite. We were able to have a little \"after party\" for our guests on the entire third floor which had a kitchen, living room, and a deck. Fortunately, no other guests were booked on that floor, so we had it all to our selves.I would highly recommend the General Sutter for your banquet needs. They helped make our wedding flawless and the dream wedding we planned it to be.

Once the reception ended we invited guests to the Rock Lititz floor for an after party, and Jeff and crew had the space ready to go! They put out the beer and alcohol we purchased (shocked that our crew was wanting and able to still drink!), as well as the sandwiches and snacks we brought in. Everything looked great and guests continued to enjoy themselves!The next day we had an afternoon event planned to watch the Euro Cup Final, and celebrate a friend's birthday. Again, Jeff, Whitney and crew did not disappoint! They brought up the birthday cake we purchased, and extra chairs for guests. It was another impromptu party, and everyone felt welcome and at ease. We had both our rehearsal dinner and cocktail hour at the General Sutter, and we could not have been more impressed. Jeff made sure every detail was taken care of and even went above and beyond by bringing a tray of hors d'oeuvres to the bridal party down the road as we had photos taken. We had both our rehearsal dinner and cocktail hour at the General Sutter, and we could not have been more impressed. Jeff made sure every detail was taken care of and even went above and beyond by bringing a tray of hors d'oeuvres to the bridal party down the road as we had photos taken. The food was delicious and the service was top-notch, not to mention how absolutely beautiful the venue is. I highly recommend the General Sutter Inn for your next wedding or event!

When we were trying to decide where we wanted to have our wedding, we didn't have to look far: we went to the hotel that is part of the complex where our favorite local English Pub, The Bulls Head, is located. Every single staff member, from the servers, to the managing partner of the Sutter, did everything within their power to ensure that my fiance (now my wife) had the wedding and reception of her dreams. We sat down with Jeff (Wedding Jeff) Merk, who managed to nail down our perfect day rather quickly. As the day approached, he would check on us routinely, to ensure that we were stress-free. As our families are both from outside of the Lititz area, we rented all of the rooms at the hotel for the weekend. Our ceremony, as well as the reception, were held in the ballroom, which was absolutely magical. We were able to include many of our friends who work at the Bulls Head, as well. The bar manager, Carson, even managed to get ordained in order to marry us! Talk about raising the bar on excellent service!! Our weekend was absolutely perfect, and we highly recommend this venue!

Our wedding day couldn't have been more perfect. The General Sutter Inn went above and beyond to make sure we had the wedding of our dreams. The food was exquisite, the staff was wonderful, the location was beautiful and the accommodations were top of the line. We couldn't have been more pleased with the entire experience. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking to have a fairy tale wedding.

THE PERFECT CHOICEMy husband and I had our reception at the Sutter two weeks ago and it couldn't have been a more perfect choice! From the moment we walked through their doors over 18 months ago, we knew immediately that this is where we wanted our party of our lives to be held. We absolutely fell in love with the intimacy of the atmosphere as it was exactly what we were looking for. It was absolutely the perfect place from the beginning! From planning, details, decisions to the special day, Jeff Merk and his staff were absolutely incredible with going above and beyond and are simply fantastic to work with, are friendly and professional in every way. Jeff has such a reassuring confidence about him that is extremely calming, especially for brides! Planning was made so very easy and seamless with this venue and its team! Our guests even raved about how attentive the staff was to the details. We also heard over and over from all of our guests that the food was the best food they have ever eaten at similar events! Even when there were a few glitches that we ran into, Jeff was right on top of things in order to find a very discreet and quick resolution which we were completely satisfied with! This venue really wants you to have one of the best days they can provide! The Rock Lititz Penthouse is a fantastic area to book to allow the privacy needed for the bridal party to get ready. In addition, it was a great way to have close friends and family together after the reception when we just weren’t ready to quit yet. It provides a private area including the deck, common area and kitchen which was so wonderful the night of our wedding and the morning after to sit down and have coffee before saying goodbye. I really can’t speak more highly of Jeff and how accommodating he is. The venue itself having so much charm and character is fit for any occasion. We can’t thank Jeff and his team enough for making our day everything we had hoped it would be and more! It couldn’t have been more perfect and it was all because of Jeff and The General Sutter!
