We hosted our wedding and reception at The Lodge at Breckenridge September 2023. It was an absolutely breathtaking venue for such a special day. The team at the Lodge went out of their way to make us feel so special. Everything from our suite being set up, to the servers and bartenders at our reception. The quality of food really impressed our guests. Since this was a destination wedding, the availability of decor at The Lodge really helped make planning and set up as easy as possible. All of our requests were met with professional service. We are so grateful for this wonderful, hard working team and the gorgeous space and THE VIEWS! Reviewed on 08-01-2024

The Lodge was an absolutely stunning place to have our wedding. The ceremony deck provided an immaculate rocky mountain backdrop for our wedding photos. The venue is naturally gorgeous and we didnât have to use many decorations (nice cost saver!). They can host much larger groups, yet the space didnât feel empty for a party of our size (30ish) - I think the way we set up our tables helped create an intimate feel. The convenience and flow of the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception spaces all being together paired with the ability for us and guests to stay on site was a top factor in our decision. As an added bonus, not only do they allow dogs, they are extremely dog friendly which was important to us with bringing our two fur babies. 2 downfalls: they do not offer room blocks or discounts for large groups and they donât have elevators (a complaint we had from our guests as some had to climb multiple stairs with heavy luggage at altitude that they arenât used to). We absolutely lucked out with incredible weather - not too cold or windy and the sun even decided to make an appearance (despite snow falling the day before!). Customer service leading up to the wedding was good - poor Katie & Amy with sales had probably over 1,000 email exchanges with me! I had so many questions as I planned from out of state and never stepped foot in our venue until we arrived 2 days before our wedding. They were always prompt, friendly, professional, and specific with their answers. Food - we did a buffet style dinner and thought the food and service was great. Our sweet little bartender was SO great - I canât remember her name though ! My husband had pretty bad altitude sickness and didnât eat on our wedding day - the staff and our coordinator were very accommodating with putting together some to-go boxes of our food and desserts for later. 1 point off due to costs - their costs are a bit excessive IMO and were only doable for us because we had a small wedding. We did the âWhyKnot Weekdayâ package which waived the site fee (a substantial cost saver) but increased the per person price substantially too. Maybe that's my opinion because I did a lot of wedding research in WI before we decided to go to Colorado - letâs just say I couldâve fed 150 people in WI for roughly the price we paid for 30 people at The Lodge đ. Evenso, I was pleased with everything that was included in the price. Overall, Iâd get married here again and recommend them! Reviewed on 17-12-2023

If youâre looking for a scenic mountain wedding, the lodge is perfect! Being able to get married on the huge deck overlooking the Rockies was the perfect backdrop for our special day. The convenience of the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception spaces all being together along with the ability for guests to stay on site really sold us over. We wouldnât have wanted it any other way. The staff were friendly and helped make our day stress free with setup, teardown, and bar and food service. The only downside is the space is slightly outdated, but that can be covered with decor. We also didnât like that we couldnât have a hotel block for our wedding guests and there wasnât any sort of discount or upgrade for the bride and groom even though we had many people stay at The Lodge. We recommend event guests book rooms well in advance to make sure they have a room there if they want one. Picking a wedding venue isnât easy and weâre ultimately glad with where we ended up. We would definitely recommend The Lodge at Breck! Reviewed on 20-09-2023

I'll start by saying we booked the Lodge for the mountain-views and it 100% delivered! It was quite windy, but otherwise great weather which was a huge relief since there isn't really a great indoor backup location. We had a destination wedding and did not get to see the venue in person until 2 months before the wedding, but it did not disappoint. The deck was the perfect size for our wedding of 70 people, but they can accommodate larger groups. Being on a deck did make it a bit difficult to get photos from multiple angles (mainly parents/guests faces during the ceremony) since there is no space beyond the altar. This wasn't a huge deal to us, but might be to other people and is something to consider. We did a buffet-style dinner and thought the food was good and service was excellent. The bartenders remembered our drinks and were sure to make sure we always had something in hand if we wanted. Other things to consider: We found ourselves wishing they had a bridal suite to get ready/store our bridal party's belongings during the event. We originally wanted to book a room for just one night (the night of the wedding) and stay with family/friends the rest of the week leading up to the wedding, but they have a 2 night minimum for room reservations. They do have 2 separate houses to accommodate bigger groups, but we did not end up using them due to the budget. The price also went up almost $10/person from the time we booked to the time our balance was due. This was written in the contract as a possibility, but some communication would have been nice rather than being surprised when we received the final invoice. And if you want anything in addition to the very base package options, the additional fees add up quickly.Overall it was a great day and we loved the amazing views! If you are planning to use the Lodge as your \"home base\" for your wedding it is great. There were some things that weren't very convenient since we stayed at other locations around Breck. We felt the coordinators were good, but not great - everything was handled and executed well, but I wouldn't say it was above and beyond. Reviewed on 01-09-2023

Working with the staff at the Lodge at Breckenridge was so great. We recently had out wedding there and were coming from out of town. Suprisingly, communicating mostly via email was just fine, and all of our details were 100% perfect and expected. Not only was the planning staff great with communication and expectations, the banquet staff the day of were also so great. The service was wonderful, they were friendly and welcoming towards our guests. The bartender remembered guest drink orders, and they were very accommodating with some of our requests. We skipped the food tasting (due to travel costs and coming from out of state), which worried me a bit, but the food was delicious! And those views! Clarissa W(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 17-06-2022 We got married at the Lodge in June 2022 and while our day was truly wonderful and 5 stars, there was one thing throughout our process that didn't meet the 5 star experience (see below). That being said knowing what I know now i still would have booked the lodge which is why I felt comfortable rating them 5 stars. I think the lodge has the most gorgeous view if you are looking for a mountain wedding and for a guest count of about 100 it was just the right size without feeling crowded. The catering manager day-of was wonderful and while the food was not the best food i've ever had it did the trick and there were no complaints. The lamb meatballs were definitely the star- multiple guests commented so be sure to do those for appetizers. They also handled dietary restrictions and allergies very well so kudos to them. We rented some decor from them which was so great and pretty fairly priced. Overall, our day went well, and guests were in awe of the views so we would 100% pick the lodge again! We booked super early (march 2021, married June 2022) and Katie and Kat were there at that time and were very responsive. This was our 7th venue tour and we felt that it was the one and we also thought the prices were pretty fair for a mountain wedding venue. We booked with them and started planning. Overall they were responsive to questions along the way and even let us show family around the next time we were in town. My issues center around communication/transparency:From the time we booked (march 2021) to the time we began to build our menu (may 2022) there was no notification that prices had increased for each plate by $10 (buffet or plated). While this is allowed for them to change prices per contract, the fact that they never mentioned this huge increase was alarming and could have been a disaster for couples who tried to ensure their venue would be in budget. With 100+ expected guests this was an extra $1,000 not to mention the service fee would increase as well. We understand Covid was a difficult time for the industry (I still think had this been the initial price we would have booked) but the lack of communication on this felt frustrating given how well they communicated otherwise. I think a simple email notifying about this change so couples can ensure they are budgeting properly and adjust things if need be was warranted. There was a similar miscommunication about passed apps twice where we were told in person yes and then via email no. Other than this, I felt like communication was great and emails were responded to quickly and they were flexible with changes we wanted and needed. Again, we loved getting married at the lodge and would 100% recommend to couples but I encourage the lodge to make sure they notify about price changes or changes to services/menu items. Erica Ellis(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 08-08-2020 Wow! Where do I start...my husband and I got married at The Lodge in Breckenridge, CO (during the pandemic). Yes, we were required to cut our guest count 2 weeks before the event, however we realize this was completely out of The Lodge's control. My husband is from Colorado and I am from Kansas City (we both currently reside in KC), and being long distance while planning a wedding can be more stressful (oh yeah, and add a pandemic to the mix why don't ya?). The Lodge had every question covered and if by chance they didn't know the answer to a question (which happened once MAYBE twice) they quickly got the answer for me. I have celiac disease AND it was important for us to have our corgi apart of the wedding. The Lodge accommodated both of those for us. We rented both cabins and a nearby VRBO (as well as had a couple guests in hotel rooms at The Lodge) which I would recommend taking advantage if you have a wedding with them. Their views are spectacular (DUH. There are also awesome nearby trails) and even though we had to cut our guest count by 100 people Kat was absolutely amazing to work with during the less than ideal process. Our families and small amount of friends can't stop raving about their weekend in Breck staying at The Lodge. The vendors we used at our event were also absolutely amazing: Kelsey Booth (Photo), Orange Soda Films (Video), Petal & Bean (florals), The Cake Maker (cake, cupcakes and rice crispy treats), Greatime DJ (Bob Bridges for ceremony and reception DJ), and the Alpine Spa & Salon (make-up/bridal hair). The skyview deck had the perfect view for our guests and for the backdrop in our photos. All of our guests said they totally understood why we insisted on dragging them all the way out there as soon as they saw the amazing views Breckenridge, and the lodge itself had to offer. It was a little bit of a struggle to get started with the down payment and some of the other details, which worried us a little - BUT when they began offering the wedding coordinator service from Natalie, and we decided to add her services, everything turned around. Natalie was fantastic to work with from day 1. When there was a small hiccup, she helped us set up our tasting (which we flew out there specifically to do), she helped us with the timeline, she coordinated with the kitchen to provide a special request from the groom, she helped our officiant (my husband's brother, who got ordained just for our wedding) with some of the little things to say or do to help direct our guests to stand sit or turn off their phones, among so many other things, Natalie was fantastic to work with, and the Lodge is a fantastic venue with delicious food. Andrea Dore(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 16-06-2017 We fell in love with The Lodge when we were looking at wedding venues and were so happy with it overall. The view from the deck is absolutely gorgeous, the reception hall was the perfect size for our group of around 75, and the new dance floor was perfect for us. Our experience during the initial tour and process of creating the contract was very positive and the manager we worked with was very responsive and accommodating. Later communications after a few changes in staff were a bit less than ideal; they seemed quite disorganized and were sometimes quick to respond but others we received no reply. The process of obtaining and paying the bill was quite difficult and I had to ask for the final total multiple times. When we did pay the bill there was a mistake and when they attempted to correct this they charged us twice, and there was a hold on my account for several weeks before we were able to get things sorted out. However, Jenny was very easy to work with and took extra time to help us get this cleared up.Most of our guests traveled from out of town and we found that the hotel staff were incredible welcoming and helpful throughout our stay! They helped us carry in all of our bags and wedding decorations from the car when we arrived. Anytime we needed anything the front desk staff were incredible. The shuttle service offered on weekends was very quick. The afternoon prior to the wedding we were able to set up some decorations while the staff was arranging tables and chairs, which we greatly appreciated. On the big day the wait staff ensured things ran smoothly and set aside a plate of food for us for later. The food was amazing! They did pressure several members of our party to purchase additional alcohol from the bar for guests, which I thought was a bit rude as we had purchased the desired amount of beer/wine and had requested that they switch over to a cash bar once these items were consumed. We also felt a bit rushed when they prematurely poured the champagne for the toasts, however they responded well when we asked that they wait to distribute the glasses. Later in the night they were very accommodating of our requests and were even able to find us an office chair to use to dance, as I was unable to walk. Despite multiple small issues along the way, we would still highly recommend The Lodge and could not have imagined a more perfect wedding day! Reviewed on 24-09-2017

The views are amazing and all of the guests raved about how great the service, location, views and lodging were. We booked the 2 houses for our Bridal party and it worked out perfectly as a place that we could hang out after the rehearsal dinner, getting ready for the wedding, having a day after barbecue, etc. The honeymoon suite is free for the night of the wedding and they even brought a full meal for my husband and I to have after the wedding. They had the perfect balance of knowing how to plan for their venue, but they also allowed flexibility for us to choose how to personalize our wedding. The food was AMAZING, the views were unbeatable, and if I had to do it all over again, I would do everything the same. We found a weekday wedding package at The Lodge that seemed to include everything we wanted, and we booked it. The place itself is beautiful and very well-maintained. Everyone that we worked with was very friendly and accommodating. The food and drinks were also fantastic. When we returned on our wedding weekend, we found the rooms to be beautiful and comfortable. We stayed in a regular room and a suite during our time, and both were very roomy and comfortable. Molly Mays(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 06-09-2015 I will start out by saying our wedding was picture perfect. The weather was perfect (9/6/15), the venue was beautiful, and the staff/chef did such a great job with dinner & service. The whole day & evening went so smoothly. I worked with Teresa for over a year planning the wedding, & she was awesome, and answered every question I ever had with all the detail I needed. The only issue we encountered came to when we paid for our hosted bar, which we had to do the evening of the wedding. My husband paid part of the bill in cash, part on his credit card, and part on his debit card. The credit card charge didn't end up going through immediately since we were from out of town & the charge looked suspicious, so he went down to the front desk the next day to confirm his debit card would not be charged. The front desk confirmed all was well & that the debit card wouldn't be charged for the rejected credit card charge and that the credit card company would just bill them. The following day, the debit card was charged & my husbands bank account was overdrawn. We ended up getting the issue resolved in the end, but we had to go through our entire honeymoon without any money in his account. Not the kind of stress you want to deal with on your honeymoon, especially since we spoke to the front desk about it to prevent the issue from occuring. We ended up getting one free nights stay out of it, which was great of the lodge to do, but it didn't erase the stress of having no money in my husbands account the entire week of our honeymoon. We understand most weddings probably have a parent using one form of payment to cover the hosted bar, but we did not have that luxury. Overall, we had a perfect wedding day, but the debit card issue definitely put a damper on our honeymoon. Reviewed on 16-09-2015

My now husband and I recently moved here from the East Coast so all of our guests traveled very far to come to our wedding, and most of them stayed at The Lodge. The staff was perfect in attending to all of their needs, and the constant shuttle service from The Lodge into town and back really helped since most guests didn't rent cars.\r\rMy husband and I had our rehearsal dinner and reception at The Lodge; our ceremony was offsite at a church. The setup for the rehearsal dinner, which was at the newly re-opened Traverse Bar inside The Lodge, was ideal and the food was excellent. The head chef of Traverse also prepared the food for our reception, and I am still getting calls/emails about how amazing the food was. The atmosphere, ambiance, and views of the reception area are indescribable. I can't post a photo here, but if you have an Instagram go to 'GoBreck' and you should see my husband and I on the main deck (which is where ceremonies are held if you decide to do your ceremony onsite) somewhere around March 20th with the caption 'not a bad backdrop for your perfect day!.\r\rWhat impressed me the most about The Lodge was how seamless everything went. The details of my wedding were pretty complicated with a lot of potential for errors, but the staff executed everything perfectly. I didn't worry about a thing on my wedding day, and everything went so smoothly. My guests were truly blown away at the beauty of The Lodge, it's location, and how elegant the decor is.\r\rLastly, Teresa Hill was a rockstar during this process and she worked so hard to make everything turn out as wonderfully as it did. With a mini warm-streak, it was sunny and so great to be outside. From the deck there is a panoramic view that includes Baldy, Blue River and the ski slopes. Stunning. And the chairs provided for the ceremony were wooden and padded.\r\rOur reception was just inside the doors from the deck with great windows with the same view. The food was AMAZING. I can't stop hearing from our guests about the best elk they have ever had. The chef really listened to our desires and delivered big time. \r\rBeing able to stay at the Lodge afterwards was such a blessing and so beautiful. We were even allowed to bring our two dogs along for the entire event.\r\rWe only had one complaint. Communication during the planning stages was redundant. We had to repeat our needs a few times. The location slightly difficult to get to, but the view was worth it. The set back and thing that disappointed me the most was walking down the aisle,my dress snagged multiple times and ripped. I choose to walk along the deck as my entrance and never even considered the deck would be so slivered that it would cause my dress to snag and at one point stop my father and I completely to unhook my dress. Not something I would want any bride to worry about. I guess my recommendation if yo choose this location is to spend the money to put a runner down. Reviewed on 04-02-2015
