On-site lodging for a wedding weekend in the Hills! The Lodge at Crockett’s Run, is a unique wedding venue located in Hocking Hills, OH, just 50 min from downtown Columbus. Nestled in the heart of Hocking Hills, on 56 acres, this retreat-style venue invites you and your guests to take a moment to escape the city and extend the celebration. Originally settled in 1862, The Lodge at Crockett's Run has been hosting weddings for over 20 years. Crockett’s Run’s 6 cabins, 4 bell tents, and 3 one room cabins called "bunkies" provide on-site overnight accommodations. Take in the fresh air and soak up time with your loved ones as you enjoy views of the hills, rock walls, waterfalls, pine forests and more. Breathtaking outdoor spaces sprinkled around property act as a perfect backdrop for all your festivities from rehearsals to ceremonies to afterparties. The temperature-controlled lodge is set in the heart of the property and can accommodate up to 150 of your closest friends and family. The lodge also features all-natural hardwood, two stone fireplaces, open rafters, and a built-in bar. We had a magical wedding weekend with our family and friends at Crockett’s Run. Abbey and Ciera were our “go to gals” and dealt with my millions of questions, always with a sweet response. Ciera was our “day of coordinator” and was a rockstar throughout-even secretly filming our lone last dance (every couple should do this). The absolute BEAUTY of this property is indescribable…now known first-hand by all we love! Our bridal party stayed in Morehead Lodge and used the Fern Room within the lodge for our hair and makeup “hype spot” (absolutely recommend), first look was at the waterfall (a spot that we chose immediately on our tour), our barefoot vows were at base camp in front of the gorgeous rock wall with a creek flowing in front (which we, of course jumped in after), cocktail hour, dinner, reception, and dancing were in/outside the Event Lodge, and we ended the night with a huge bonfire and s’mores in the Gorge. The following evening, we celebrated 24 hours of marriage with a “trash the dress” session by jumping into the pond. It could not have been more magical! PURE MAGIC. We started planning a yearly trip back with our bridal party immediately after returning home because none of us wanted to leave!

Highlights:STAFF - We worked with Abbey and Kirby in planning our event at Crockett's Run. We had initial phone call, 6mo, 3mo, and 6w calls with both the CR and day of coordinators. This was very helpful in asking questions that prompted our vision to come together. It's nice brainstorming for a big event with people who have expertise. Additionally they were very open to our non-traditional ideas for our wedding weekend and helped make it all come together! The staff on-site during the weekend and of course DOC Kirby made the whole event run so smoothly! I cannot say enough how relaxed and taken care of I felt during our big day. RESORT - We rented out the entirety of the resort for our weekend; it was a blast! I can't believe how fun it was to have everyone on site. We also had opportunities to gather in all the beautiful cabins and hang near the swimming hole. VENUE - We especially enjoyed being able to use Dave's Place and the adjacent patio for multiple events during the weekend (Friday welcome party, Saturday bfast food truck, Saturday afternoon/evening wedding). There were so many ways to make this wedding weekend our own; choosing where to have the ceremony, table set up for dinner, areas to put the bar, day of timeline. I liked being able to use different table options (rounds and rectangles, cake table) as well as indoor/outdoor use. We got married in the afternoon in front of the rock wall and the guests were all able to be seated in the shade, which I know they appreciated in June! Plus there's beautiful lighting options in Dave's Place and on the adjacent patio. It felt very customizable and the staff did such a good job setting it all up Friday during the day. We lived nearby, but all of our guests were pretty much out of towners. Guests will have to rent a car if they fly into Columbus/Cincinatti to attend the wedding. We ended up hiring the recommended trolley service which worked out well to bring guests from the hotel (we had a block at SleepInn) - uber/lyft/taxis are in short supply in Logan.Our vendors were all willing to travel from Columbus, so even though it's a little out of the way, we didn't pay extra for \"travel\" expense for anyone we hired. (Holy Crepes food truck, Dos Hermanos food truck, Chris Bowman photography, Russo's pizza). *I would recommend all of these vendors as well. Hope this helps in choosing a venue!We had a blast at our wedding. :)

Crockett’s Run is magical. My husband and I got married here in early August, and we’re already (only half-jokingly) talking about planning a reunion :) We worked with Abbey & Cierra throughout the planning and then additionally, we were lucky enough to have the owner, Megan, around the day-of to help out. Every single one of them is attentive, detail-oriented & absolute joys to work with. While the location is certainly built for and thrives in good weather, the event lodge is also cozy, and I still think everything would have been wonderful even if we’d had a bit of rain! It’s endlessly customizable to your needs and aesthetic and… I could go on, but I’ll end with saying if you’re at all considering an outdoor wedding weekend, this is the place.

Crockett’s Run is magical. Crockett’s Run was the best venue for a wedding weekend away with our guests. We absolutely loved that we could host our closest friends and family for the entire weekend in the lodges on the property. Every part of the property is beautiful and well maintained. It was so easy to work with Abbey and the rest of the event staff. They went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed that weekend. We had so many guests compliment us on the beautiful and unique space and we know they had the best time. We can’t wait to return in the future to celebrate many anniversaries to come!

Crockett’s Run was the best venue for a wedding weekend away with our guests. We absolutely loved that we could host our closest friends and family for the entire weekend in the lodges on the property. Every part of the property is beautiful and well maintained. It was so easy to work with Abbey and the rest of the event staff. They went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed that weekend. We had so many guests compliment us on the beautiful and unique space and we know they had the best time. We can’t wait to return in the future to celebrate many anniversaries to come!

We got married at Crockett's Run last fall and it was pure MAGIC!! I wish I could relive the entire weekend again because everything was completely perfect. Crockett's Run was the most beautiful setting and I can't recommend them enough! I had a million questions the months leading up to the wedding and they were always very gracious and quick to respond. Meg + team were so helpful the day of our wedding that I didn't have to worry at all. They didn't have anyone checking in on Sunday so we were able to take our time getting out and reminiscing the day with our friends and family the next morning over coffee. I'm forever grateful for our entire experience with Crockett's Run from the initial planning stages all the way up to our wedding. They made us feel so special and celebrated us all weekend! Just typing this review has made me feel nostalgic for our wedding weekend all over again! Truly the best experience and most beautiful setting we could have asked for <3

In May 2020, we booked Crockett’s Run for our October 2022 wedding after we saw Crockett’s Run on social media. The whole team at Crockett’s Run was wonderful to work with over the past few years. They were all so prompt with our questions, scheduled plenty of phone calls, and were gracious enough for us to do a walk over of the site a few months before the wedding. I can’t stress enough how helpful Abbey, Kirby, Meg and the whole team was. They made everything leading up to the big day and everything day of go so smoothly. We weren’t stressed at all! The venue itself and the property in general is stunning. Plenty of places for beautiful photos! I can’t recommend Crockett’s Run enough. Me and my husband, our family and guests were so impressed with them. Thank you!!

When we found Crockett's Run over a year and a half ago we were in the talks about marriage and not officially engaged yet, but when we saw this venue we booked it immediately without me having a ring or having ever seen the venue in person because it just looked so perfect! We covered all of the necessary stuff in our calls with the venue and they were so helpful with any questions we had and bringing our vision to life on the big day! We had our wedding this past Saturday and despite not being able to have our ceremony outside due to weather, everything was still perfect! Abbey, Ciera, and Kirby handled a lot of back end things for us so we didn't have to deal with the stress of contacting and coordinating vendors and their arrival times, etc. which was a BIG help. The day of they golf carted us around so we could get to our first look photos in a beauuuutiful location and kept us on our timeline the whole time which was super helpful because both of our brains were scrambled eggs for most of the morning/afternoon. They handled everything during the ceremony and reception SO well on their own that I came up to them probably 10 times throughout the night to make sure everything was good since it seemed strange I wasn't needed haha. I can't recommend this venue enough and I can't wait to come back and stay at one of their beautiful cabins on our anniversary in the future! Thank y'all so much for making our day as easy and perfect as possible!

Let me just start by saying Crockett's Run is absolutely perfect. My husband and I stayed there 2 years ago and fell in love with the property. When we got engaged in April of 2021, we knew that was the place we were going to hold the ceremony and reception. Everyone there is so amazing and helpful! They made our special weekend so easy and stress free. Kirby and Abbey helped us throughout the planning process and were incredibly supportive of our vision and especially helped with areas where we didn't have much of a vision at all! Megan and Ben were great as well! Megan drove us around for pictures in a golf cart (which was so sweet in the July heat!!) The property is perfect and was great for our small ceremony and bigger reception! We can't wait to go back there and stay and hope more of our friends get married there so we keep having a reason to go back!

We could not have picked a more perfect venue for our special day! Everything turned out even more amazing than we could have ever imagined, from the stunning scenery to the super helpful and caring staff. Our family and friends stayed in the cabins with us over the weekend and it was wonderful to all just celebrate together. The wedding coordinators and staff kept us all on track the whole day and helped to make it a more stress-free experience for us. I would absolutely recommend Crocketts Run to anyone. I cannot wait to come back and visit for many more years to come!

The venue is absolutely beautiful which is why we picked it. I loved hosting all my friends and family at the cabins near by. However, their cabins are very expensive. They are beautiful and worth it, but my bill did end up adding up to a lot more than I originally intended. The staff was very communicative and helpful. The only reason I wont give it 5 starts is because of the do it yourself aspect. Doing all of the set up and all of the clean-up when you just want to spend time with all of your guests is very stressful. If I did it over again, I would probably go for something that has it all in house. But to each their own. It was definitely beautiful!!

Crockett’s Run is truly magical! Not only is it an absolutely gorgeous venue but the staff is also amazing! They were professional and helpful every step of the way. We loved being able to stay with our family and friends for the whole weekend to celebrate. The cabins are all within walking distance from the venue which made everything convenient! The reception space is beautiful and so is the entire property. I highly recommend them!

Crockett’s Run is a beautiful venue and location! All of our friends and family were traveling from out of town so it was great that they could stay at the lodges/cabins on-site! It’s a little pricey compared to other venues in the Hocking Hills area, but we felt it was worth it! Some of the Cabins/lodges could use a little updating, but they just got new owners a year and a half ago, so I know they’re getting there. I would definitely recommend this venue! We had a wonderful wedding there!

Crockett’s Run is a beautiful venue and location! All of our friends and family were traveling from out of town so it was great that they could stay at the lodges/cabins on-site! It’s a little pricey compared to other venues in the Hocking Hills area, but we felt it was worth it! Some of the Cabins/lodges could use a little updating, but they just got new owners a year and a half ago, so I know they’re getting there. I would definitely recommend this venue! We had a wonderful wedding there!

We had our reception at Crockett's in September and absolutely loved it! It provided exactly what we were looking for... a place where we could have a fun and relaxing weekend with our friends and family to celebrate our wedding. Positives: - Everyone we worked with from Crockett's was extremely helpful and so kind. - The reception building itself is nothing super fancy but yet so intimate, comfortable, and well kept. Loved the fireplaces!- Being able to bring in our own alcohol really helps keep costs down. - A good majority of our guests could stay on site in the cabins making it super convenient for them/us. - They allowed us plenty of time/access to the building to set-up the day before. This might not feel important in early planning but I found it to be critical for me to have a relaxing wedding day. You don't want to have to set up the day of! - We also had our rehearsal dinner on-site and a bon-fire. Again, super easy and relaxing! Things to Consider: - There are not a lot of wedding vendors in the Hocking Hills area so you are going to have to go with the 1 option for things like flowers, catering, etc. or pay extra to have people drive in from Columbus or other surrounding areas. We did a combination of both and all worked out great. Just made planning/managing costs a bit more complicated. - If you have more guests than what can fit to stay on site (we did), you are either going to pay a small fortune for a shuttle (see above point about nothing being in Hocking Hills) or they will have to drive themselves and not partake in the party as much. Uber and Lyft are not options. Technically Lyft has service but there is never anyone available from our experience. Probably like most brides, I wish I could have our wedding a million more times, and if I could, I would pick Crockett's again and again!

Loved the fireplaces!- Being able to bring in our own alcohol really helps keep costs down. - A good majority of our guests could stay on site in the cabins making it super convenient for them/us. - They allowed us plenty of time/access to the building to set-up the day before. This might not feel important in early planning but I found it to be critical for me to have a relaxing wedding day. You don't want to have to set up the day of! - We also had our rehearsal dinner on-site and a bon-fire. Again, super easy and relaxing! Things to Consider: - There are not a lot of wedding vendors in the Hocking Hills area so you are going to have to go with the 1 option for things like flowers, catering, etc. or pay extra to have people drive in from Columbus or other surrounding areas. We did a combination of both and all worked out great. Just made planning/managing costs a bit more complicated. - If you have more guests than what can fit to stay on site (we did), you are either going to pay a small fortune for a shuttle (see above point about nothing being in Hocking Hills) or they will have to drive themselves and not partake in the party as much. Uber and Lyft are not options. Technically Lyft has service but there is never anyone available from our experience. Probably like most brides, I wish I could have our wedding a million more times, and if I could, I would pick Crockett's again and again!

What a wonderful wedding venue! Having both families and the bridal party on property all weekend was very convenient. The cabins/lodges provide all the comforts of home. The outdoor setting is a picture-perfect backdrop for the ceremony and Dave's Place is ideal for the reception. The staff was very attentive to our needs!

absolutely loved it. it is an awesome venue with amazing options for you to get married outside along with the beautiful inside venue. They were very helpful in finding caterers and vendors. The cabins that are on the property are a must rent if you have people coming in from out of town we rented all 5 and they had just opened up another house the weekend before our wedding. had we had it available sooner we would have also rented that. the staff was so friendly and accommodating. the only down side is that the weekend flew by. my husband and I could not have asked for a better wedding venue. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND

This venue was absolutely perfect for my October 1st wedding. The natural setting outside was exactly as I wanted and all the woodwork and beautiful fireplaces in the lodge along with the orange glow the lights set off was the perfect atmosphere for our reception.

Our reception venue was awesome! You have the choice of only using the ceremony and/or reception site along with renting the onsite cabins for wedding party and guests. Also Sherri and Charlie that own the property also take on the role of wedding day cordinator. They were great.;They do not like smoking any where but outside the door by the ash trays. If Charlie finds to many buts in the grass and on the grounds he will charge you per butt.
