We LOVED having our wedding at the Lodge at Liberty Forge! We were at first hesitant because of the travel (1 hour) for us, but the welcoming and accommodating service as well as the unbeatable value ultimately drew us in! Even on our brief timeline, the Lodge offered us the most competitive rates for both the rental fee and catering. We appreciated that the Lodge allowed us to be as creative as we wanted for our day with few restrictions, and it was a major bonus to have their impeccable catering from the Altland House included. I am vegan, and they offered us a third meal option for our served dinner at no extra cost. Kathleen Rooker was a joy to have as our experienced day-of coordinator and event planner. Kathleen’s assurance and hospitality kept us at peace throughout the entire planning process. She and the rest of the team always seemed genuinely invested in making our special day exactly as we dreamed. Kathleen communicated clearly and timely with us over all our tiny questions. She kept our planning on track and well-organized. Our highlights of the day were the ceremony on the terrace, the views of the beautiful golf course, the spacious Susquehanna room for dancing, the elegant dining room, a golf cart ride along the course for photos, and the perfect preparation suites. Our wedding at Liberty Forge this past May was one for the books! The staff at Liberty Forge truly cared about making our day memorable, personal, and joyous! Kathleen’s communication throughout the entire planning process made decisions easy, streamlined, and personal. We were given the opportunity to create a personalized menu that catered to all of our guests’ specific dietary needs. From our signature cocktail to the carefully orchestrated buffet stations encompassing all of our food desires no detail was overlooked and every bite was delicious! Liberty Forge coordinated with our florist, baker, DJ, and videographer so that we didn’t have to worry about anything on our special day, which made all my wedding worries melt away. My husband and I decided to make our wedding a whole weekend event for our guests since a lot of them lived out of state. Our dress rehearsal and dinner took place the day before at the lower portion of Liberty Forge at Creekside where our guests enjoyed a creek float, mini golf, driving range, corn hole, dinner, and drinks to kick off the celebrations! Our rehearsal dinner was a wonderful time to connect with our out of town guests that continued into the evening lit by the fairy lights under the large white tent. The next day our wedding ceremony took place on the covered patio connected to the Lodge at Liberty Forge overlooking the greens of the golf course. The dedicated bridal suite and groom suite underneath the reception area was ideal for us to get ready in the morning and then made for a quiet space to switch into dancing shoes during the reception while guests continued to party above! My husband and I loved the convenience of having dedicated spaces for our ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, and dancing all tied together in one location. We concluded our night with a sparkler send off that was well organized by Liberty Forge staff that we will cherish forever. We and our guests continue to reminisce about our most perfect wedding weekend at Liberty Forge Lodge!

I cannot recommend this venue enough! We had our wedding here on June 3rd, 2023. Throughout our engagement, Kathleen was super quick to respond and adapt to any changes along the way. I never once had any doubts about choosing the Lodge at Liberty Forge as our wedding venue. The chef, Mariah, is extremely talented and flexible in accommodating our guests’ dietary restrictions. We had both our rehearsal dinner and wedding reception here. The food was phenomenal both days. With an expansive menu, my husband and I did not disappoint our guests. Our friends and family still rave about the food! As far as other helpful friendly faces, our coordinator Natalie was excellent for both our rehearsal practice and wedding day! Michelle, the operations manager, worked with us to bring out vision to life when we would come for a pre-wedding meeting. Many hands make light work and these women plus others took care of all the final details to set up the space even better than we could have planned. Even with weather having us on our toes ALL weekend, I had so much trust that the team had our best interest at all times. The entire banquet team was professional and prompt through the entire weekend. Thank you Lodge at Liberty Forge!

We had the best wedding day at Liberty Forge! Kathleen and her team went above and beyond for us every step of the wedding planning process and the wedding day. It was such a stress free day because of the staff. The food was amazing and the venue is absolutely beautiful. It rained most of the day, but because of the tent in the ceremony area, it didn't really impact our day. We took pictures inside and they turned out amazing. We had the best wedding day at Liberty Forge! Kathleen and her team went above and beyond for us every step of the wedding planning process and the wedding day. It was such a stress free day because of the staff. The food was amazing and the venue is absolutely beautiful. They handled all of our set up and clean up, were very accommodating for our outside vendors, and had a great space for getting ready. The venue itself was beautiful, clean, and the staff was exceptional. I would recommend this place to all newly engaged couples! The food was amazing and we got so many compliments on the food and venue itself. There were also so many options for linens. We want to thank and commend the entire staff at the Lodge at Liberty Forge for their efforts in planning and carrying out our wedding on September 23.Kathleen Rooker was so helpful and accommodating in our planning decisions. We only had a few months to make wedding arrangements. And we had numerous personal setbacks during that time, including bouts of Covid and the loss of Bonnie’s father just a few weeks before the wedding date. Bonnie was also limited in her availability because of her heavy work schedule. Kathleen was always willing to make adjustments and be available to meet our needs. And she provided creative ideas and insightful suggestions in finalizing our plans.We were very appreciative of the personal attention that Kathleen, Michelle Conrad and all of the Lodge's staff provided throughout our wedding day. From the moment we arrived in the morning to the time we left late that night, the staff was excited and active in doing those extra measures to make our day the special one it was. The outside wedding area was wonderfully prepared. And the staff did an excellent job in teardown and gathering of the items we brought. We were also impressed with the appearance and preparation of the reception areas. The idea to use on the banquet tables the rose petals not used during the wedding ceremony was really clever and thoughtful, and is just one example of the attention to detail that we experienced throughout the day.We and our guests thoroughly enjoyed our reception dinner. We repeatedly received high complements from our guests on the flavor and quality of preparation of their meals. And the lunch we and Bonnie’s family ordered from the Sand Trap Grill during our pre-wedding preparation was timely provided and was really good.We appreciated very much the personal attention we received throughout reception. Because of post wedding photos, we didn't expect to have the hors d’oeuvres served to guests during the cocktail hour. But staff thoughtfully served us the hors d'oeuvres as appetizers. And staff made every effort to make sure our food and drink needs were taken care of.We especially noted and appreciated how attentive the servers were to our guests and their requests throughout the reception. Our guests received the same excellent attention as the bride and groom. Staff's efforts made our guests feel special and welcome.We appreciated the patience and help that the staff provided after the reception. It was a long day (our wedding was in the late afternoon). Not only did they provide helpful assistance in the gathering and carting of the items. We never felt rushed in completing the process. .Thanks and high praise to Kathleen, Michelle and the entire staff at the Lodge at Liberty Forge for their excellent work in making our wedding day special for everyone.

The Lodge at Liberty Forge was a truly beautiful venue to use for our September wedding. The outdoor area-where we got married- was absolutely stunning and had perfect natural light for photos, the indoor reception area had a lot of space so that our guests didn't feel cramped, and the dance floor/bar area was beautiful with mosaic chandeliers and stone floors. Our wedding planner, Kathleen Rooker, was a spectacular coordinator and made sure everything was as it should be. She is very kind, courteous, knowledgeable, and overall extremely good at her job. She goes the extra mile to make sure the day is as smooth as possible. Would definitely recommend this venue and the awesome coordinator!

The outdoor area-where we got married- was absolutely stunning and had perfect natural light for photos, the indoor reception area had a lot of space so that our guests didn't feel cramped, and the dance floor/bar area was beautiful with mosaic chandeliers and stone floors. Our wedding planner, Kathleen Rooker, was a spectacular coordinator and made sure everything was as it should be. She is very kind, courteous, knowledgeable, and overall extremely good at her job. She goes the extra mile to make sure the day is as smooth as possible. Would definitely recommend this venue and the awesome coordinator!

This was the one and only venue we looked at because I fell in love with The Lodge at Liberty Forge. They were so accommodating when we had to change the wedding date for a year due to Covid. Kirsten was always so helpful and quick to respond to phone calls and/or emails and so patient with all our questions. Kirsten and her staff were wonderful to work with through the 2 years of planning up to the last detail of our wedding day, even as far as creating a beautiful wedding cake when the one we purchased was a flop! I can't say enough about Kirsten, her staff and the beautiful facility. Thanks to all of them! I highly recommend The Lodge at Liberty Forge for your wedding or any event.

Kirsten, the events specialist, was absolutely amazing. She was professional, quick and helpful in her email responses and always returned my phone calls. She kept my event order up to date so I knew exactly how much everything was going to cost. She was present for 13 hours on my wedding day and made sure everything ran smoothly. Over all, a sweet and genuine person who I enjoyed working with, even through the frustration of 2 postponements. The venue itself is beautiful, and the food is excellent. The only thing I would like to see in the future is an update to the getting ready area for the men. They were really only there for the photo op with my photographer, but I’d love to see a better space for the guys to spend their time in the morning of the wedding.

She kept my event order up to date so I knew exactly how much everything was going to cost. She was present for 13 hours on my wedding day and made sure everything ran smoothly. Over all, a sweet and genuine person who I enjoyed working with, even through the frustration of 2 postponements. The venue itself is beautiful, and the food is excellent. The only thing I would like to see in the future is an update to the getting ready area for the men. They were really only there for the photo op with my photographer, but I’d love to see a better space for the guys to spend their time in the morning of the wedding.

I'll let you decide. We had our wedding on 6.26.21.The CONS:-The bathrooms were out of commission for about an hour during the reception because something broke. I'll let you decide. We had our wedding on 6.26.21.The CONS:-The bathrooms were out of commission for about an hour during the reception because something broke. We had the most perfect wedding day and we were so happy to have chosen The Lodge at Liberty Forge for our ceremony and reception. Tad Cruise and his team were amazing! We have been planning our wedding for 3 years and Tad was with us every step of the way. We even had to change the date at one point due to a family health issue and they were extremely accommodating and supportive. Tad was always so wonderful at all our meetings and eased so much of my anxiety. He truly thinks of everything! He gave great suggestions and listened to what we desired as well. On the day of the wedding, everything went so smoothly. I had no idea if anything did go wrong because Tad handled it all. One of his coworkers, Danya, was so sweet to me and my bridesmaids the day of the wedding. She helped with flowers, drinks, food and anything else we needed. She checked in and made sure everyone was okay. There were 2 spaces for us to get ready and although it made the groomsmen and bridesmaids close, the bride and groom never saw each other. What we loved best was that it was downstairs where other guests couldn’t wander to find us before the wedding. The ceremony and reception were perfect. It amazes me how smoothly everything went. The Lodge gives such a great vibe with the floor to ceiling windows, high ceilings and beautiful landscape. We got some amazing backdrops for our wedding photos. Our guests absolutely loved the venue and the bridal party couldn’t stop raving about Tad and Danya! Thank you for making our day so incredibly special. I could go on for hours about all the little details but that’s specific to my wedding and may not be for everyone else. Oh and the food - AMAZING! Seriously consider this venue!!!!

Once we walked into the Lodge, we knew right away that this venue was \"the one\". The location is so peaceful and has a beautiful view. Our guests were extremely impressed with their meals, as we heard about it even weeks after. Kirsten did an amazing job handling the day-of arrangements and making sure that it was set up just as we had hoped. We were overall very happy with our decision to get married at the Lodge!

This venue was a dream! Not only are they very easy going and easy to work with, but they are extremely reasonable in pricing and negotiable. Tad was half the reason we picked the venue. He is an awesome person and he can either be hands on or stand back and let you do your thing. The food was delicious! Even my hard to please Italian father loved his meal and trust me that’s saying a lot with my dad! They made sure everything ran smooth and left zero stress on my (the brides) shoulders. I honestly have nothing negative to say. I highly recommend this venue for all brides! Just a magical place and thank you for making our day so special!

We just had our wedding there and it was perfect! Tad Cruise is amazing! Since the first day we meet him he was super helpful! Anytime I would email him with questions, he would answer back right away. The staff was excellent as well. They were so helpful with helping us with our decor and working with us with whatever we need. Also the food was DELICIOUS! The venue is beautiful! We wanted a barn feel and this venue is within budget and has that rustic feel we were looking for. The venue speaks for itself and you don't need much decorations to make it beautiful. He kept the big picture in mind while also prioritizing the small details throughout all of our planning. We just always left feeling at ease with how things were progressing. The building was beautiful, the staff was friendly and accommodating, and our guests loved the food. Our wedding was in late December so the venue was decorated for Christmas already, and the staff was great about filling in around the decorations we brought. Strongly recommend this venue - our reception was a night to remember and I couldn't speak more highly of the Lodge.

Let me start by saying that this was the perfect venue for my wedding day! We looked here first and decided to look at more venues, after 7 other venue visits, I couldn’t stop thinking about the lodge and I knew we had to choose it for our big day! The grounds and venue itself are gorgeous and lucky for us the weather was great! Tad is wonderful! He is very responsive and willing to meet with you whenever needed, he answered my many, many emails and helped me to finalize parts of my wedding I had no idea about. He is friendly and very good at what he does! My rehearsal went off without a hitch,Thanks to Tad and his staff helping out. The wedding day was amazing, everything was set up better than I could have done myself. The food was wonderful, we had many guests tell us it was the best wedding food they have ever had. I never once had any issue arise on the wedding day, Tad took care of everything and even checked in with me a few times during the morning to make sure things were going well and asked any questions on decor so I would have everything as I wanted it. From the beginning when Tad met with us to explain everything step by step to the wedding day when everything turned out wonderful, I have no complaints! I would recommend the lodge at liberty forge to any bride looking for an Indoor and outdoor wedding/ceremony and highly recommend Tad and his staff!

We worked with the Altland House through their Liberty Forge Location, and they travelled to our reception venue. Christie Griest was the representative who helped us, and she was absolutely WONDERFUL :] We hit it off immediately, and she patiently worked with both my parents and me all spring to help us find a catering package that would suit their tastes and mine!\r\rPeople are still raving about the food! We went with five food stations, and her staff made us a small \"naked cake\" covered in micro-flowers along with a variety of pies instead of the traditional wedding cake to cut... everything was so beautifully displayed, the linens looked awesome, and her staff even washed and cleaned 170 vintage floral dessert plates I had collected for the guests to use!\r\rNot only did Christie make sure everything was spot on with the food, bar, and desserts; she also helped me think through other things I might not have thought about, like whether we would be getting special forks, toasting flutes, or a cake cutting set to use and save as a keepsake.\r\rMy parents are thrilled with the Altland House and all that Christie and her crew did to make our wedding day amazing, and so are my husband and I! We will definitely be using them for future special events! Five stars all around.

We went with five food stations, and her staff made us a small \"naked cake\" covered in micro-flowers along with a variety of pies instead of the traditional wedding cake to cut... everything was so beautifully displayed, the linens looked awesome, and her staff even washed and cleaned 170 vintage floral dessert plates I had collected for the guests to use!\r\rNot only did Christie make sure everything was spot on with the food, bar, and desserts; she also helped me think through other things I might not have thought about, like whether we would be getting special forks, toasting flutes, or a cake cutting set to use and save as a keepsake.\r\rMy parents are thrilled with the Altland House and all that Christie and her crew did to make our wedding day amazing, and so are my husband and I! We will definitely be using them for future special events! Five stars all around.

She goes over everything and gives you all the options liberty forge offers. She answers all your questions as best as she can. I got married then oct 10, 2014. It was a special day to remember. The senery is amazing. Looking over the lake into the golf course, the gazebo's from the colors on the trees in the fall. \rI was an emotional wreck on my wedding day and Christie helped me relax so much. She took the role as my mom for a few minutes before the ceremony started. \rWe had a few meals that were different due to health and she was very helpful figuring out those meals with us and making sure those were able to eat that day. \r\rLiberty forge is an incredible place and I wokld recommend it to anyone. Christie will help you through the whole process and through your special day. :)\r\rThanks again so ouch Christie for all your hard work and love and compassion for weddings :)

I saw this wedding venue, and I fell in love. It had the atmosphere & setting I wanted from all the planning I was doing. I sat down with Christie, their coordinator, and the 1st thing we did was cost. I couldn't afford their wedding packages (silver, gold, platinum, etc.). But she worked with me on certain other packages, and then I was able to book & reserve this dream venue for my wedding day. Everything is very rustic, chic, elegant, and classic all in one. Grounds are gorgeous. The outside patio is beautiful. Dance floor is beautiful. Only thing I can say bad is their chairs (I couldn't afford upgrade) are very out of date. I would recommend purchasing chair covers to obviously cover their imperfections. Food was DELICIOUS. I had so many guests comment on this, and that was big thing that my husband & I wanted for the wedding. We wanted fun times & good food. Their catering was on point. Staff was awesome, gracious, quick, and fast. The 2 coordinators take care of all of your needs on rehearsal night & the day of the wedding. They literally take care of everything. You don't need the financial hassle of a wedding planner because they do it for you on those important days. This venue is awesome!!!! Christie is awesome!!!!!!!

Liberty Forge was everything I was looking for in a wedding venue. We had both our ceremony and reception there. The ceremony was outside at the gazebo location, which costs more because of fees they have to pay the golf course for interrupting play, but it has always been my dream to get married at a gazebo, so it was worth it to me. They also have a tented patio for outdoor ceremonies that could be a back-up location in case of rain, and that's where our cocktail hour was. The reception was inside, and the room is beautiful with huge windows overlooking the golf course and high beamed ceilings. One of the best things was that they take care of everything--food, bar, tables/chairs, setup of decorations and favors, etc. The food was SO good. A wedding cake was also included from a local bakery, and we could choose flavors/design. It was really good, too.\r\rBut the most amazing part of having our wedding at Liberty Forge was Christie Griest (sales rep/event manager). She is fabulous and worth her weight in gold. She was our contact throughout the whole planning process, answering all my questions quickly, and I really don't think I would have been able to get through it without her, especially the day of. She ran through the rehearsal with us the night before and was there the day of to get my bridesmaids and I over to the site, give us our cues to walk down the aisle, even straighten out my train behind me as I started down the aisle, take my veil back to the dressing room downstairs before the reception and bring me my clutch. She paid attention to everything we talked about throughout 10 months of planning and made me feel important and special, and I was so much more relaxed the day of our wedding because I knew Christie had everything under control and would tell me where I needed to be when and make sure I got there. I highly recommend Liberty Forge for a beautiful, high-quality, stress-free wedding!

We had our wedding at Liberty Forge on 8/17/13 and couldn’t say more about what a fantastic venue this is, and what a superior service Altland House provides. Our event coordinator, Christie Griest, was amazing to work with!! From day one, Christie answered all of my questions about options and services available at Liberty Forge through the Altland House. Christie was so flexible, scheduling meetings when it was convenient for us (I was living out of state at the time), and always took the time to look into the many questions I asked. One of my favorite things about Liberty Forge is that everything is included in your package! No need to coordinate tons of extra venders, Christie did all the work of helping us pick linens, chairs, meals, even the cake is included (The Couture Cakery was outstanding)! When we showed up on our wedding day, everything was perfectly placed and in order. Christie didn’t blink an eye when we were panicked about having a meal miscount, and quickly made arrangements to accommodate our two extra guests. Our guests raved about how beautiful the venue was, and the food was top notch! Overall, we are so glad we chose Liberty Forge as our wedding venue. Our day was perfect thanks to Christie!!

I got married in December and Liberty Forge was perfect! With all it's exposed woodwork, there was very little I had to do to decorate or add accessories to fill up space. The lighting is also nice and adds to the warm, earthy ambiance. In December, they have a decorated Christmas tree on one end of the dance floor as well as one in the main entrance. I'm sure this would also be a great venue for spring/summer. One side of the dance floor is floor to ceiling windows which offer a great view of the golf course. Staff is professional, friendly and easy to work with. Food was amazing. I got lots of compliments from my guests about food and the look of the venue in general. The cost was also very reasonable.

I had my ceremony and reception at Liberty Forge. The location was gorgeous! They took care of all of the set-up and made the entire process easy and seamless! And Christie was a delight to work with! On the wedding day, she was always checking on me and the groom (and the entire bridal party) to make sure everything was okay. She made sure to fluff my dress before I walked down the aisle, made sure the servers kept coming out to our group while getting photos during the cocktail hour so that our family and bridal party weren't missing out on the food and drinks, and during the reception was checking in with me and the groom to see if we needed anything to drink and or anything else. Christie made sure everything ran smoothly and it couldn't have gone any better thanks to her! I can't say enough good things both about Liberty Forge and Christie!!!

everyone at liberty forge was great. Christie helped us with all our plans and really made it come to life. i kept making all kinds of changes and she was terrific with everything. the location was beautiful, and we were still able to get some great pictures, even though it was raining. we had the ceremony outside on the covered patio, and everything else was inside. everything we got for the price we paid was phenominal!!!!

Liberty Forge and their staff was absolutely amazing! The food was fabulous and the cake was beautiful and delicious. The wedding coordinator, Christie, bent over backwards to make sure the day was set up perfectly. From the beer to the timing of events, they made sure everything went on without any issues. The room was exactly how I'd pictured it! Liberty Forge made my wedding day an absolute success! Thanks to their hard work I will always remember what a special day my wedding was. The staff at Liberty Forge/ Altland House was great to work with. The grounds at LF were wonderful and thanks to a family member who is staff we were able to snag a not-so-common location for our post-ceremony pictures. At times we did have a few problems getting in contact someone when we needed to, but everything worked out beautifully in the end. The only thing we did not like was there was no staff member around to guide our receiving line. As my husband and I greeted each guest we had to tell them how to get inside to the cocktail hour. The food/drink was great, a little pricy, but still delicious. We had a great ceremony and reception which is what we will always remember.
