We loved our wedding day at the Lodge, and I wanted to think about the day and the overall service before I wrote a review. Our wedding had no issues that halted or hindered our day, and our day of coordinator was terrific. The vendors were prompt and professional.The indoor site and balcony were great, and they worked with me to have tables and chairs utilized the way I needed and wanted. The outdoor ceremony site is very nice, though the vines on the arch were dead due to it being winter, and it was not cleaned enough in my opinion. What caused me any stress at all was trying to communicate to the venue about various things, and some things were lacking. For example, I know we asked that there be a white cloth draped on our arbor decor, and on the day of, there wasn't one. There was difficulty contacting the venue during the planning process. If we needed to make changes or get information overall. I often had to ask about several smaller details that could have been discussed during our few meetings, if there had been forethought to make note. Brides are typically first-time brides, and it would be helpful to have everything from furniture to coffee cups listed for discussion. I often found things I needed to purchase/figure out too close to the wedding, but just in time because I was going over this wedding as best I could. Overall, we loved having our big day at the Lodge, and they gave me the freedom to decorate and have fun without a theme, and for that and the great service, we are grateful. My advice is to make sure you consider every little thing that entails a wedding and make sure you discuss it with the Lodge.

The Lodge was such a beautiful venue - the people were great, so many great amenities, and communication and appointments were always easily accessible! The venue is a hidden gem!! It has such natural beauty - so many guests commented on the details & layout! I’m so grateful for this place & everyone involved in our wedding day! I highly recommend the Lodge, it allowed for a stress free beautiful day💓

The Lodge at Mound Creek is a beautiful venue that works well for weddings of all sizes. There is a lovely outdoor area for the ceremony, and the inside of the building is nice enough that few decorations need to be added. Be careful when booking a package. My mom and I both thought that we could choose off the preferred vendor list, but that was not the case. A wedding planner was assigned to us and she chose the vendors we had to use. The DJ that was booked for us was not able to come up with our first dance song, which was chosen in advance, even though many wedding guests were able to pull it up on their phones right away. The bartending company we were assigned was hard to get in touch with. They were not knowledgeable about drink making and they had us purchase about 4 times more alcohol than needed. It seemed like a lot when we were purchasing it, but I assumed they should know how much would be needed since that is their job. The caterer they chose was not really what we were looking for, but was decent. The bakery assigned to make the cake only had four flavors to choose from. Overall, Amy the wedding planner was very helpful and tried her best to make things go smoothly, and for the most part it did.

This was the perfect venue for us! We were very interested in nature and wood themes that we were able to dress up and make classy. Katie was very accomodating and helpful. She was quick to answer any question I could come up with. She knows her venue very well and runs it like a champ. It was awesome!

Where do I even begin! I am so thankful that I got to have my wedding here! The venue itself is so unique and beautiful. When I was looking I wanted a place that was cozy yet spacious, unique, and beautiful and that is exactly what this place is. Everything on my wedding day went so smooth and that had a lot to do with how incredible the staff is. They were on top of everything and it made such an impact. Prior to the wedding they were really easy to communicate with which is so helpful. Katie is incredible! She made everything so easy and smooth. I would definitely recommend this venue to everyone!

When I was looking I wanted a place that was cozy yet spacious, unique, and beautiful and that is exactly what this place is. Everything on my wedding day went so smooth and that had a lot to do with how incredible the staff is. They were on top of everything and it made such an impact. Prior to the wedding they were really easy to communicate with which is so helpful. Katie is incredible! She made everything so easy and smooth. I would definitely recommend this venue to everyone!

Oh my goodness! I got married at The Lodge at Mound Creek on 10.19.19 and it was breathtakingly perfect. When I say I’ve never seen a more beautiful venue, I may be a little biased but it was everything I could’ve dreamed of. Katie (manager) and Elizabeth with EM Events (our wedding coordinator) went so far above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. They could not have done anything better if they’d tried their hardest. A thousand thank you’s to the two women who made all our dreams come true for our wedding day.

Oh my goodness! I got married at The Lodge at Mound Creek on 10.19.19 and it was breathtakingly perfect. This venue is STUNNING. It's tucked away, as if you're at your ow cabin in the woods. Off the beaten path, it is a venue that is so beautiful yet feels like home at the same time. The owner (Katie & Family) are absolutely the most kind and genuine people that we came across during the entire wedding process. We are truly grateful to have had this beautiful venue, and their event assistant Brianna, who was absolutely amazing as well. With the combined beautiful space and amazing support from Brianna the day of our wedding, it was a recipe for success and happiness for us :)

We absolutely loved the venue! Katie was phenomenal and so easy to get in touch with when I had questions! She is constantly working to enhance the venue even more and is so accommodating to her couples! When we originally booked the ceremony site’s landscaping was still being worked on, the cross that we used in the wedding wasn’t made yet, the decor pieces were not there yet, the parking lot was still being extended, and there were not near as many farm tables as there were at the time of our wedding. Katie promised us that some of these would be done, the others were just added bonuses, and she kept her promises and more! The Lodge was the perfect venue for us!

What can I say? I was the first person to sign on with them, with nothing but an unfinished building in construction and a kind family who made me feel at home. Katie helped me envision the space and after months of constant updating and visiting, the venue is much much more than just a venue to me. It is a place that I saw blossom before my eyes and where I had one of the happiest moments of my life. I owe my entire wedding to Katie, she was there for me through it all and if it wasn’t for her, my dream come true wouldn’t have happened! The Lodge at Mound Creek isn’t just a wedding venue, but it has so much character and story behind it. My husband and I will cherish the venue and the people who own and manage it FOREVER ❤️

Katie Phillips (Manager) Hi! My name is Katie and I am the daughter of the owners, Mike and Lana. I have been running the Lodge since long before our first wedding in September 2017, and I am always trying to find ways to make our venue better for our couples! I am the main point of contact for all of our brides, and I love to hear about the details and dreams you have for your wedding! I was born and raised in Magnolia and a member of the Fighting Aggie Class of 2007! I love Jesus and my family which includes my husband, Rocky, my sweet corgi and Lodge mascot, Barkley, and my cat Keke la Bamba.
