Established in 1875, The Lucas Farm is a historic wedding venue in Currie, NC, where coastal appeal meets country style. Originally a tobacco farm, owners David and Rebecca Lucas Jones have transformed the cropland into a 450-acres private oasis immersed with longleaf pine. They invite you to make the most of their serene sanctuary and host a dream wedding to remember. The Lucas Farm sits 20 miles from Downtown Wilmington and Wrightsville Beach in a lush landscape of vibrant greens. The property is open to any unique wedding style, while the barn features air conditioning and heating to cover any season. Beautifully refurbished, the main barn embraces its original roots with its tongue and groove pine ceilings and rough-cut timber walls. Within this open space, beneath glittering string lights, you exchange vows with up to 175 guests or indulge in the wedding feast with 100 seated. An outdoor patio space provides a cool setting to relax and unwind by the fire pit under the glow of Edison lights. Alternatively, the Pecan orchard is a picturesque, leveled place where you can secure a wedding tent of any size. Close by, the Farmhouse and Schoolhouse properties offer ample room for both parties to get ready, while the converted Bar Shed is perfect for a refreshing drink. Included on property is a full caterers' kitchen as well as 2 permanent bathrooms to accomadate your guests. The Lucas Farm boasts a signature price package that covers 12-hour access to the entirety of the property, allowing you to enjoy your lavish day in absolute privacy. David and Rebecca also offer the additional option of a rehearsal dinner before the big day. For indoor weddings, a selection of décor is readily available, including 14 church pews, cocktail tables with high-top chairs, 6 rectangular tables and 12 round tables with 150 Chiavari chairs.

The Lucas Farm was the perfect venue for our wedding, and the space made our day exactly what we pictured it would be! Our favorite features of this venue were the beautifully restored barn, unique farmhouse, and pine trees that surround the property. This space is all newly renovated and very clean! The proximity to Wilmington while still having a rustic, farm feel makes this venue super unique, and we had many guests compliment us how beautiful the venue was. The Lucas Farm team was so helpful in our planning process and during the event day-of. They were professional, organized, very responsive, and dedicated to making our day just how we planned! Great venue and great people to work with. I would 100% recommend booking this space for your wedding or event!!

Our daughter was married at The Lucas Farm and I can’t say enough wonderful things about the owners and their attention to every detail. The venue itself is so beautiful and it can be set up in a variety of ways to suit any occasion. There are so many great backdrops for photos: the farmhouse, the woods, the barn and even the old tobacco shed. We even got a full moon! The vendors had everything they needed to get set up. I would highly recommend The Lucas Farm as a venue.

Wow! What an incredible place! The owners, Rebecca & David Jones, run an amazing event venue that is equipped with a beautiful main house, newly renovated barn, state of the art caterer’s kitchen, adorable bar & outdoor entertaining space. I have loved getting to spend time at the Lucas Farm and getting to experience such a unique and special place:)

If you’re looking for a beautiful, memorable wedding venue at a great price, look no further because Lucas Farm is an amazing place to celebrate your wedding. My husband and I recently married at Lucas Farm and would give them 12 stars if we could! The venue is spectacular and full of history. There are many many beautiful photo opportunities from the farmhouse, barn, school house, the converted ham house into a bar or the rows of pecan trees. The possibilities are endless. We had about 90 guest and there was plenty of space. Our guest were in awe of how beautiful the grounds were and loved seeing where the 90s TNMNT was filmed. The owners Rebecca and David are amazing to work with! They are excellent communicators who respond quickly, helped us throughout the process of planning and were a big part of making our wedding day special and perfect . They have thought of everything! They both helped get the venue set up and pivoted when we had rain spending hours creating a beautiful indoor ceremony space out of their utility barn. They went above and beyond for us including bring pizzas from the food truck to the barn. We are so grateful to them and to have had the opportunity to wed on a spectacular property. If you’re looking for a unique wedding venue that provides a 5 star experience, Lucas Farm is the route to go!! We highly recommend!

The Lucas Farm NC (Owner) Established in 1875, The Lucas Farm was purchased by Dr. George Lucas and has been cared for by our family since. Originally a tobacco farm, the crop land has been converted into 450 acres of longleaf pine stands in Currie, NC. We have been privileged to host several movies, the most well-known being the 1990’s film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.In 2019, David Lucas Jones and wife Rebecca began the journey of refurbishing the farmhouse, ham house, barn, and schoolhouse. After over 2 years of extensive work, we are proud to offer this picturesque establishment to host your dream wedding.
