Our reception at The Madison was an absolute blast! The staff and food were fantastic, and the decor the event team helped with was great. Plenty of space, clean and large bathrooms, and they work with so many weddings that they could probably host your party blindfolded! We were given ample amount of time to set-up our own decor and the small fee to pick-up decor a couple days later was the best money I’ve ever spent! If I had to give minor feedback…we did have a line at the bar basically all night and they used glassware, then plastic, then resorted to paper cups because they kept running out. The bartenders were lovely and trying their very best though! I also requested that all cocktails got light-up ice cubes in them for the dance floor and unfortunately very few were used. The lighting is a bit dated in The Grande and I had hoped for it to be updated prior to my event, but it didn’t stop me from booking it! Wonderful night and easy to work with! Reviewed on 16-12-2023

The Madison Event Center was the perfect venue for our Wedding Day! From start to finish, The Madison team took such great care of all our needs and made us feel so special. The planning process was very easy and stress free because they offer an all-inclusive package and handle everything on site, so we didn’t have to do much. We enjoyed working with the Details Specialist, Riley. She made sure no detail was missed while offering great advice too! It was nice having Hotel Covington next door, we took advantage of the Wedding Room Block offerings, Suites to get ready in on the day of, and we even hosted our Rehearsal Dinner and Welcome Reception at the Hotel! Our family and friends loved the convenience of it all! When it came to the night of our Wedding, everything was truly perfect! The Madison provides a Banquet Captain to take care of everything throughout the night, our Captain went above and beyond our expectations. We had our wedding in April at The Madison and I can't say enough about the entire staff, especially Riley! She accommodated all of our requests, and was super responsive throughout the entire process. Leading up to the wedding the weather was iffy, and she did what she could to accommodate our every need. The planning was guided by their group, the staff the day of was amazing, and our entire wedding loved the food! We had the most perfect day and I wish we could do it all over again. This is a hot venue so we did have to book in January 2022 for our September 2023 wedding. Cheyenne was on top of all the details and made me feel secure throughout the planning process about the status of our event. Although there were still a lot of pieces we had to coordinate ourselves, Cheyenne was regularly checking in, staying up to date on our plans, and giving helpful recommendations as we went along. Our only two bumps we hit were with the timeline for our day and the ballroom itself. When booking the event our ceremony was booked for 5pm-6pm and our reception was booked for 7pm-12am. When booking I had asked what would happen with the hour in between and was told it would be a cocktail hour so I thought nothing of it. When we were about a month out from the event Cheyenne reached out to let us know that it was a mistake and asked if we wanted to bump our reception up. Since we had already printed and sent invitation showing the end time as midnight we were not wanting to do this. Thankfully, Cheyenne and the event team were willing to work with us to make it right and extended our reception to be 6pm-12am at no additional cost to us. The other bump was that in the year and a half between booking the venue and our event, renovations were done to The Crystal that we were not notified of. I discovered them when we went for our food tasting and we saw the room for the first time since booking. The room is almost fully mirrored and they had applied an antique glass effect to them that I really disliked. There wasn’t anything we could do about this with the event being less than 2 months out and the other reception spaces being booked. This was disappointing, but ultimately on the day of just didn’t matter at all. I only wish we had been given a heads up at the time of renovations so that we could have pivoted plans to a space that was more our aesthetic and vibe. Our ceremony was held on The Lawn at Hotel Covington. I can’t say for certain, but I think there were at least two other weddings happening at the venue on our date. Initially this made me nervous, but you could hardly tell. Our party wasn’t interrupted at all! The Lawn is absolutely stunning and was the perfect backdrop for our ceremony! It was also a fun bonus that my room in the hotel overlooked The Lawn. As I was getting ready throughout the day I could look out and see the florists progress, I could see our guests arrive, and I could watch my husband process down the aisle with his parents. I’ll also note that the hotel is pet friendly which was amazing! We had our dog in our wedding and she was able to stay overnight with us. It was super convenient to have her participate in our ceremony, and then to be able to drop her off up in our hotel room before heading over to the reception! Our reception was in The Crystal Ballroom. It was nice to be right on the first floor and the space comfortably held our ~150 guest wedding with room to spare! I only wish the tables had been more spread out and spread further back towards the entrance of the room. They felt very cramped together which seemed unnecessary given all the space that was open at the end of the room. The price tag looks steep at first glance, it ended up being on par with other more venues we looked at once you factored in caterer, bar services, decor rentals, tables/chairs, and linens. I highly recommend for couples looking to have a smoother planning experience with less moving parts from outside vendors. Reviewed on 09-10-2023

I cannot thank The Madison enough for everything they did- From answering every email and making every detail or change happen no matter how last minute it was, to making sure my grandpa had a comfortable chair to sit in for the reception and always making sure my husband and I were taken care of, to the bartenders searching for Bloody Mary mix for my grandma, to the caterers preparing such a delicious meal and late night station, to our sales rep for showing us the venue and making the booking process so seamless- every single person we came in contact with was phenomenal. The communication was always quick. They helped with every aspect of the reception. The bartenders were fantastic and the servers were helpful throughout the night. The place is aesthetically beautiful! When we visited it we fell in love! The employees at Hotel Covington that were working the bar and cafe were AWESOME! So friendly and helpful! We were so excited to rent the space for our son's Rehearsal dinner. We met with Riley and absolutely adored her. The dinner and dessert was very good! Now, it goes downhill......When I arrived, I sought out the Banquet Captain who I was told was there to work with me and assist in hosting our evening. I introduced myself and did not receive a hello but just a question as to how many people were attending. When I told her that we had 33 she responded that Riley had told her 34 so there would be an empty seat. I let it go (although it looked a bit bad/sad to have an empty place setting) and asked if she could direct our guests to the coat rack so I could set out the place settings. She REFUSED!!! I admit to getting a bit flustered and just walked away. We had to get our drinks from the makeshift bar that had two bartenders. The feedback I received from our guests was that they were rude as well. I can't say that surprises me due to the attitude of the Captain and obvious trickle down effect.We were to have use of the flat screen tv for a surprise video visit but the Captain said she had no clue what we were talking about, and again threw Riley under the bus; therefore the surprise video never happened. BEYOND UPSET!!Dinner was served and our water glasses became empty. I asked the Captain about refills for water and she said we had to walk to the bar and get them refilled on our own. By now I had about had it with her rudeness and asked her to have the servers fill pitchers of water and refill the empty glasses. She agreed but yikes!I emailed Riley to tell her about our positives and our disappointment in the poor service and I received a minimal apology but a lot of explanations. I wished her the best of luck because with this Captain at the helm my negative review will be one of many to come. My older brother reached out to them in my stead (without my knowledge) for a quote via the Knot and Ashley the Sales Manager graciously messaged back to assist. It was during the high peaks of Covid, so I was not confident in making any final decisions or strong agreements. However, out of all the venues my now-husband and I researched and visited during those many months, the Madision Event Center was the place that stole my heart (after my husband stole it first ;) ) and let me envision what our wedding could be and more.From start to finish, the MEC team was fantastic in working with our vague plans of having a smaller wedding than what they may have been accustomed to. Ashley was so kind and understanding and we never felt we were pushed into any challenging decisions. Zoe our Event Coordinator was also incredibly fantastic and so patient with my scatter-brained state in figuring out the details of the ceremony and reception. She was quick to respond to any questions I had via email and was a fount of information when I needed it. On the day of the wedding, we were assigned a Captain (SO SORRY I FORGOT YOUR NAME) who assisted in the day-of process. She worked alongside our Wedding Planner/Day of Coordinator and made sure we were kept in the loop of everything, to make sure we were comfortable/reassured, and relaxed with drinks in hand! However, the best surprise (a detail not fully clear in their provided brochures/menus) was a cutting cake that came with our dessert table. I had notified Zoe around the last month before the date that we were having difficulties with our bakery at the time and expressed my concern that we may not have a cake at the reception. I opted to include the MEC's Dessert Table for my guests as a backup, so everyone could have something to snack on. What I did not realize was the venue adds on a cutting cake (small cake for the couple to cut) with this table. It was a surprise and such a relief to know we did not have to worry about purchasing a contingency cake from Costco or somewhere last minute. Thankfully our original cake did come through, but it was so nice to know the MEC staff had our backs. Even though our wedding was not in the main building, the Madison South was still a perfect location for us and fit our needs. The Loft was a little dark in lighting, but it still was more than enough for our guests to sit comfortably and for the ceremony to take place. The Madison Ballroom (while listed to fit approx 150 guests?) felt perfectly cozy and full with only our guest count of 50. All of our other vendors were familiar with the MEC's venue spaces, so we had no issues in setups or cleanups. There were moments where I felt the MEC could be a little clearer in what was available/not available in terms of services or what the packages entailed as there were some discrepancies in the contracts versus the event details. These were minor things such as the options of having cocktails served versus wines to guests. Their website could use an update too as there were some broken links to older vendors. Overall though, I'm glad I went across the river to find this all-inclusive venue. I've never met such a friendly and welcoming staff and their flexibility was greatly appreciated. We had our ceremony at Hotel Covington next door, then our reception room was in the Madison South building, The Galleria. The Galleria has a smaller room attached to it that we were able to put all the food in, so our reception was free of any food tables. Zoe was our details coordinator and she was AMAZING. The only issueI had was we had some minor things go wrong throughout the day, but I think it might have been the person that we got as our day-of coordinator (different than your details coordinator)... 5 minutes before my ceremony was supposed to start, I got a call asking if I was supposed to have flower petals, which I had talked in detail about with the coordinator the day before. Apparently they couldn't find them, and it was disappointing to only get the call 5 mins before because there was nothing that could be done. They also asked us what we wanted done with all of our wedding cake and cake pops (we did a smaller show cake to cut and cake pops for guests) and we asked them to pack it all up, but they only packed up our cake pops and threw out our wedding cake... that was really disappointing because the only piece of our own cake we got was the small bites we fed each other. They also lost the screwdriver for one of my decorations that had to be taken down that night, and my in-laws spent way more time tearing down than they should have because the venue had to go track down a screw driver. I had heard great things about day-of coordinators at The Madison and had really high hopes, but that is the only thing that didn't live up to my expectations on the wedding day. Other than that, everything was perfect, the food was amazing, and I would definitely recommend The Madison to anyone looking for a beautiful and more affordable venue! Reviewed on 15-11-2022

Each person we interacted with along the way was pleasant and helpful, even with our 1000+ questions along the way. When we dropped off our decor & set up, the staff member at the door immediately offered to help without hesitation, which really stood out to us. We planned our wedding in about 5 months and can't thank the Madison enough for making that possible. Our captain for our ceremony/reception, was fantastic! Making sure our night was absolutely perfect and everything was going to plan. We worked extensively with both Ashley and Zoe. They probably answered hundreds if not thousands of emails I sent them! You can tell they love what they do and want the best for their couples. I had a couple moments where I seconded guessed every decision I made, and Zoe called me to talk though it all. She is an angel and the sweetest person I had the honor of working with and knowing. We had our tea ceremony and regular ceremony at the Hotel Covington and reception at the Emerald Room at The Madison. The entire day was beautiful! The staff checked in on us often and made sure our parents/grandparents had everything they needed :) The staff also helped us clean up everything at the end of the night! Megan Plogman(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 10-12-2021 VERY DISAPPOINTING!!! We originally booked our daughter's wedding in September 2019 for a wedding date of November 27, 2020. The first available opportunity to taste and select food was not until August 2020. The food was absolutely HORRIBLE! The Madison assured us that \"they would make it right\" and offered us a second, private tasting, which was better, but we were still very concerned about the quality/taste of the food to be served to our quests. From the initial booking in September 2019 through July 2020, we experienced very poor responsiveness/follow-up from our Event Details Specialist. After several complaints, a new Events Details Specialist was assigned to us. Unfortunately, in early November 2020, due to COVID-19 and Kentucky/CDC mandates, we were forced to CANCEL the wedding reception. We did go ahead with a very private, small wedding ceremony, which went well. The Madison REFUSED to let us cancel the wedding reception and offered us a very select few 2021 dates to reschedule. We were told that we absolutely could NOT get a refund. We reluctantly rescheduled the reception for December 10, 2021, which cost us an additional $1938.10. This is where The Madison really fell short on service and coordination of the event. First, we were promised two wedding coordinators but were only provided with one. Second. we were DENIED a rehearsal and the use of the bridal suite prior to either the ceremony or the reception, as promised in our contract. Third, there was absolutely no coordination of any events throughout the reception and NO audio-visual assistance. Lastly, the waitstaff continually discarded full plates of food and full drinks whenever anyone stepped away from their seats. We were quite embarrassed to learn that several quests had purchased cocktails to have them discarded by waitstaff. In addition, the waitstaff threw away all of the wedding party favors. It is clear to us that The Madison is in breach of contract and owes us a considerable refund, which they refuse to pay. Please DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE, your will regret it! I had set many venue tours when I first got engaged and The Madison was first on the list. After one tour and learning about all the Madison had to offer, I cancelled all of my other tours and began planning. Shortly after booking, Covid hit. To help with social distancing for our original date, The Madison offered us upgrades at no charge that consisted of a plated meal (instead of a buffet) and a larger room that was available at the time. We found out 3 weeks before our original date that KY had limited weddings down to 25 people. We had always envisioned a big wedding due to having a large family and many friends that we wanted to celebrate with us. I remember frantically calling to learn my options with The Madison and being given a list of available dates within a few hours. Since we had planned a winter wedding, we ultimately decided to keep everything the same and move it to a year later (12/11/21❤️) and, to my surprise, The Madison let us keep our plated meal upgrade! Once our new wedding date got close, Riley, our events specialist, reached out and began to plan our final details and everything went so seamlessly! We were provided times for decor drop off, set up, rehearsal, etc and even an exact timeline for the big day down to the minute. The actual week/day of my wedding was so stress free and this is purely thanks to the Madison. They even called my vendors the week of the wedding and provided an hour of decor set up the day of and because I didn’t have much, they knocked it out as my florist set up our arrangements. Riley was our ceremony captain and told us exactly when to walk down the isle and even answered last minute questions as I sat in the get ready room. Amy & Hayleigh were our reception captains. Amy met us at the door, introduced herself immediately and made sure my husband and I, as well as our parents were enjoying the evening. Paired with our DJ, our captains informed me when it was time to have our intro, eat, cut our cake, etc. Amy even made sure that we each had a drink in our hand whenever we wanted one and my husband says that he felt like royalty all evening! 😂 At the end of the night, Amy handed us a bag that had a hand written note, a bottle of champagne, and a piece of each flavor of our wedding cake that they had saved specifically for us. I can’t thank The Madison enough for making this such a great night - let’s just say they know how to treat their couples and tick all the boxes when it comes to the small details! 😊 Reviewed on 20-12-2021
Katherine Baron(bride)2 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 04-12-2021 The Madison really drew us in because of its close proximity to Hotel Covington, but in hindsight I wish we had picked a different location for our reception. The Madison was very difficult to work with during COVID-19 and seemed more concerned about money than the health and safety of our guests. For example, they were not willing to reimburse us any money for the reception when the governor was recommending no large gatherings and we wanted to make this a smaller affair. It was not until the governor reduced capacity to 25 people that we could reschedule without a change date fee. Once we rescheduled our event, our guest count was significantly lower than what we paid for, but the Madison was unwilling to reimburse us for the difference or provide us any upgrades. This was despite them telling use upgrades would be offered. It really felt like they were only accommodating when it benefitted them. Once it was time for the actual event, the staff was very unhelpful. Danielle scheduled an appointment for us to drop off décor, but just sat at the desk and watched us struggle to bring our items in on dirty and broken carts. It was not until we complained that someone helped. During the actual reception, the servers seemed less than thrilled to be there and they seemed extremely short staffed. I felt like they were irritated when I asked them questions and my husband had to remind them to serve the cake. There was only one bar tender for over 100 people so the wait was long. Guests actually commented about the demeanor of the servers. Finally, our contract said we would have a night of coordinator, but we either did not have one or they did not introduce themselves to me, my husband, or our parents. Moreover, minimal help was offered to help clean up at the end of the night. And instead we were just told \"for $100 we could store items.\" The only reason I am giving the Madison 2 stars is that Zoe was very kind throughout the process, and I really think it is upper management who was more concerned about money than our event. The day of the wedding our day of caption, Andrew, was amazing. He came and introduced himself right away to us and to our parents. He was slightly short staffed, given the circumstances everyone is experiencing, and he handled it so well. The staff that we had were amazing. The staff was great to work with, the venue spacious & beautiful. We were in the lower level ballroom - dinner was delicious, dance floor was the perfect size, even the band had a blast! The staff at MEC is helpful & have designated individuals for each step of the planning. The decorations were beautifully placed, even better than I imagined. We booked The Madison in April 2020 for our September 2021 wedding , so along with other COVID engagements, it was much different than we imagined. Despite the challenges, Nicole and Zoe made the entire process seamless. They answered every single question I had within 24 hours of emailing them.Patty was very attentive to my husband and I throughout the night (along with our other vendors). She was amazing at helping us stay on schedule and even ahead of schedule at one point! We received so many compliments on the bar staff and the food. we ate so much of the appetizers and dinner that we could not finish our dessert! At the end of the night, we were surprised with a gift bag from The Madison with each flavor of our desserts and a bottle of champagne. We actually decided to save that for our first anniversary! We don’t have any friends or family currently engaged, but we will never stop promoting The Madison and all of their hard work! It was truly amazing working with every staff member there. I am a wedding photographer, and after being in the industry for over a decade, I knew The Madison would be a great fit for our event. We had our wedding reception in the Royale Ballroom and it was such a timeless and stress-free experience. I'm so happy that we chose The Madison for our wedding because not only was the experience leading up to the day so easy, and the staff were so kind, but our guests had such a great experience as well. It was so nice having the all-inclusive package. Not having to worry about set-up or tear-down was SO nice, and the food was amazing. I got married during COVID and it was so stressful but The Madison made it such an easy process! I ended up having my ceremony in the Loft on 11-28-2020 and they helped me move my reception to 4-10-21 so I could have a big celebration with family and friends! Riley helped so much through this process and was so amazing! The day of the wedding and the day of the reception Patty helped SO MUCH. She was amazing and my husband and I still talk about how the two days couldn’t have gone as smooth as they did without her. I highly recommend The Madison for all wedding needs. They are amazing! We had both our wedding and reception there and it was so convenient to have them close to each other, but not in the same room. Everyone we dealt with was so professional, from Amber, who showed us around when we were first looking, to the Day of Coordinator who helped us at the rehearsal and the ceremony, to the Banquet Captain who checked on us throughout the reception and helped us to move everything to our cars after the reception. They also give you a Details Specialist that you work with to finalize your details before the big day and I must say; ZOE IS THE BEST! I would email her all of the time, sometimes 4-5 times a day, with questions and changes and she always got back to me in a timely manner. She even helped clear up a parking ticket I got while doing set up at the space! The Madison has décor that is part of their contract and you don't have to pay for things like chargers or glasses. We held both our ceremony (The Loft) and Reception (The Madison Ballroom) at The Madison. We booked our August 2021 wedding back in February 2020 and worked with Ashley. She was awesome and helped to answer every question we had – and even brought up things we hadn’t considered when looking at other venues like the level of service included, champagne toasts, etc. Zoe was our details specialist and went above and beyond to give us the wedding we envisioned. She and the pastry chef even managed to pull off a layered rainbow cake that both looked and tasted amazing! During the planning process we stopped by The Madison multiple times, and everyone there was always so nice and accommodating. They really made us feel special, even if we were just there to take a quick measurement in the ballroom. Patty was our day of coordinator, and she deserves so much praise! She truly went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. She checked on us and our parents multiple times throughout the night. She always made sure I had a full glass of water too! I wish I’d had more time to thank her in-person the night of, because I know she’s one of the main reasons everyone had such a great time. It’s been about a month now and our guests are still talking about the food because everything was so good. Our guests raved about the reception and how wonderful the bar selection, food, and late-night coneys were. The Madison Event Center was the first wedding venue we toured and we instantly fell in love with the space. We knew we wanted to have an outdoor ceremony and we loved that we could plan our ceremony for on the lawn at Hotel Covington and have the reception at The Madison. Throughout the entire planning process, Riley was available to answer all of our questions and helped coordinate with our vendors. The staff did a beautiful job setting up all of our decorations and our memory table in the ballroom. Throughout the whole night, Patty was absolutely perfect and was on top of everything from getting us drinks, ensuring we got food, and helping make sure we got everything packed up at the end of the night. Our wedding day was better than anything I could’ve ever dreamed of. The room, the food, the staff, the experience… it was all perfect. It was a fairytale and a day that will play over and over again in my head. If you are thinking about holding your wedding at Hotel Covington/The Madison—BOOK NOW. You won’t regret it. Zoe helped turn my wedding vision into a reality. She was with us throughout the entire process, answering every little question I had and ensuring my wedding day was everything I wished for. She is truly one of the sweetest souls and it really was a joy working with her. I don’t know if I could’ve made it through COVID wedding planning without Zoe. Zoe and all of The Madison staff were so helpful in dealing with COVID protocols. I also would like to shout out Patty Cunningham, our night-of coordinator. She was absolutely amazing. She not only made sure my husband and I were taken care of all night, but also our parents. Amanda Schnur(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 27-03-2021 The Madison was wonderful from day 1 when we were working with Ashley to book, to working with Zoe to plan final details, and finally on the day of with Janet and the rest of the team who helped everything come together. Everyone was so kind and dedicated to helping our day be special, even when we had to make difficult decisions regarding COVID. I heard horror stories from other brides who had venues (that weren’t the Madison) completely unwilling to work with them during these difficult times. My husband and I went back and forth so many times on what to do and Zoe was there every step of the way, offering any possible solutions she could find. On the day of the wedding, everyone at the Madison worked to ensure everything was perfect. They constantly were asking if we needed anything, set up our decorations, helped to tear them down, as well as helped to carry them out to our parents’ cars at the end of the night. We booked them prior to covid and they were helpful all through our planning. We were able to keep our original date and they upgraded us to a plated meal and a bigger ballroom to accommodate our guest list with covid capacity restrictions. She was very helpful in explaining the available packages and even gave me her personal phone number to answer any questions (of which I had several). We had the absolute best wedding reception in The Emerald Ballroom. Thanks to our coordinator Zoe, we were able to still have a fabulous time despite some of the COVID disappointments we had faced. Whether it was a call or email, Zoe always responded very promptly and was incredibly accommodating and professional. I have received so many wonderful comments on the space, food, and overall experience our guests had at The Madison. They all made the whole process so seamless and worry-free. Riley was the main person we organized our wedding with and she was so patient and incredibly sweet! We had to postpone and reschedule our wedding and the Madison was so understanding and flexible with our changes. They made sure every detail was right; we had one tiny slip up at our rehearsal dinner, but Darren and Amy (who were our event coordinators) sat down with us and apologized profusely even though it wasn’t their fault! They take their jobs very seriously and want to make sure every detail is perfect! When that became clear that wasn’t going to happen, The Madison gladly worked with us to postpone our wedding. Our second date was 9/19/2020. Just 7 days out, my mother was confirmed for COVID. Things took a turn for the worse as her condition quickly went downhill. I notified Zoe of this immediately and again received nothing but support. Here we are, on a Sunday night, 5 days before our wedding.. The Madison and Zoe are AGAIN helping us to postpone our wedding. We have had no push to rush to a decision to postpone or not, no rush to pick a new date, and no grief for the circumstances. Just nothing but support. We are so so soooo thankful!!! We used the Terrace and Madison Ballroom and were completely satisfied with everything. Zoe kept in contact with us and worked with us in every aspect we needed her. We had to postpone our wedding from May to August and she made things go by so smoothly. Honestly, the Madison is just a beautiful venue and the staff there are amazing! It’s so wonderful to have them do all the decorating (leaving us without all the stress) the food that was prepared was delicious and served in a timely manner. I cannot say enough wonderful words about our wedding experience with the Madison. Our day of coordinator did an outstanding job as well, We had a miscommunication on our part with flower girl baskets and she came together & made us something in such a short time. At the end of our reception, she packed up everything to take with us and made things so easy for us. Thank you all for making my wedding day absolute perfect! Zoe was there every step of the way leading up to the day of and you were so attentive to our anxiety especially during the pandemic. Our day of coordinator, Ashley, was absolutely AMAZING! She was so detailed and attentive to our needs. She was amazing at the rehearsal as well. The ceremony was flawless and absolutely beautiful! The courtyard at Hotel Covington is the most beautiful spot for a ceremony. We couldn't have asked for more. I was stunned when I walked into the reception! Everything was exactly how I expected it and the room was just beautiful. Ashley and William were so attentive to not only use, but our families. Anything we needed, they were right there with it! My drink glass was not empty at any point during the night thanks to the two of them.We couldn't be more pleased with everything! You all take care of every detail and make the process and the day of extremely easy! I cannot speak highly enough about Ashley Bangi who showed us the spaces when we were looking for a place to have our wedding. I cannot speak highly enough about you, always returning our emails and answering our phone calls. You never sugar coated anything and the honesty was extremely helpful during this crazy time. We initially chose the venue for the convenience (proximity to Hotel Covington, involvement of the details specialist, day-of specialist, in house catering/bar, etc.) and were not disappointed. I do wish the communication was a little more proactive as it related to restrictions/changes as the result of COVID, but when we received the communications/answers to our questions, they were very thorough. On all topics, Zoe was very responsive to my emails, and so friendly / easy to work with. She & her fiance live in South Florida and were not able to come back to Ohio to get a venue booked, so we searched online for recommendations in the Cincy area. We found the Madison Event Center, I booked a consultation & we toured and knew this would be the perfect place for our Florida and Ohio guest! Having the Hotel Covington across the street was perfect! From the beginning up until the end, I was extremely happy with everything! The wedding was amazingly beautiful, the venue was gorgeous & food was awesome. A special thanks to Riley Ferguson, our details specialist and especially to Jake Buckly & Amy Marcum, our event captains...they were awesome!! I had a million little questions and each one was answered quickly and I was never made to feel like it was a pain or that I was asking too much. We had our ceremony and reception there, and the team made sure we wanted for nothing! Seriously we had no issues or hiccups the entire day! The food was perfect, I will dream of their brisket for the rest of my life! The space was decorated beautifully and they even moved my memorial table from ceremony to reception! Zoe was extremely helpful with the decor and layout of the room. She was patient with all of our questions and very accommodating when we wanted to see the ballroom for table setting ideas. The Madison contacted all of our vendors the week of the wedding to ensure that they were all set for the wedding day. On the day of the wedding, the staff was respectful, prompt and beyond friendly. The in-house catering is absolutely to-die-for (seriously, get the brisket for the carved option), and every staff member we encountered were very helpful. Zoe was our details planner and she was constantly in contact with us in the months coming up to the wedding. The night-of specialists we had made sure we were on track with the time and took care of every detail on that night. We recommend Madison Event Center to everyone and anyone who is looking for a wedding venue. Seriously, every single person we encountered was so kind and truly seemed happy for us. Ashley B was the one to give us a tour and help us with our contract. She was so friendly and willing to listen to what we wanted to help us figure out exactly what would work best for us. Months later at our taste and toast she remembered us and came up to us to ask us how everything was. It meant a lot that she remembered us! Zoe was our details specialist and she could not have been better. Something we quickly realized was everyone at The Madison knows what they are doing! We were pretty clueless about all the detail that go into planning a wedding but Zoe knew exactly what we needed. Our day of coordinator, Ashley P. made the day so easy for us. She even made sure we had drinks all night! Everyone at the Madison goes above and beyond to make sure the bride and groom as well taken care of throughout the wedding planning process and the day of. They provide dinner, drinks, decor and event hosts all in one. We had a smaller group in the newly remodeled Royal Ballroom and it was perfect! Met with Amber from the Madison and she was amazing. When we walked in we felt so welcome and important. We talked to Amber about our budget and she was more than willing to help us stay on track. We signed after seeing The Madison room and the Loft for our ceremony because they were so beautiful and elegant. A few days after we signed we scheduled a meeting with awesome Zoe to go over all the details from centerpieces to the time details the day of the wedding and everything in between. She made all of these steps so easy. Amber and Zoe were so good about contacting me back quickly anytime I had questions. Really professional and very considerate. The day of the rehearsal we met Sharon and she was fantastic. Friendly and professional. She seems to love her job and knows every aspect of making you feel like everything will be perfect the day of the wedding. On the big day everything we had brought had been taken care of....every little detail. I didn’t have to worry about anything. The food was delicious and again Sharon and the wait staff took care of all of our needs and went way above and beyond what I could have ever imagined. They helped with my dress and even gave us a hot towel after our cake smash when cutting the cake. They made sure we had enough to eat, were comfortable, and if we needed a drink they were there! From the first time I visited to packing up the car, I was extremely pleased! Working with Zoe was a pleasure. She was always quick to respond and went above and beyond to answer any and all inquiries. She even found pictures from past ceremonies when I wanted to see the pillars in use. She is phenomenal. I loved that I was able to decide how much I wanted to do for decor and such. I got to do just the things I wanted like the dessert table and the guestbook table. Everything else was taken care of and it was stunning. Tracey was my day of person and she was also amazing. She was so charismatic and completely on top of things. She worked so hard and it wouldn't have run as smoothly without her. It was like having a super organized cousin help run the show! The food was awesome. I don't even care for ham and I loved that ham. All of my guests enjoyed the food! A couple staff members were newer and we're taking plates a bit too quickly. They also took artificial flowers out of vases when I think they should've been left in but that is my only area for improvement! There is not enough time or space to even begin to tell you how wonderful they were to work with! From our first meeting in November with Ashley Bangi to our final details meeting with Zoe Mendenhall in May, they were extremely kind, professional, knowledgeable and supportive. Both were eager to help in any way, promptly returned emails/calls, and took care of everything!! They were fabulous!!! The night of the event, the night coordinators Jake, Spencer, and Ashley had everything under total control so we could thoroughly enjoy the reception. They went above and beyond, to help us and ensure the evening went well. At the end of the event they helped us load everything up and even helped us get all the gifts, decorations, etc. to where they had to go---again above and beyond! The guests continue talking about the great service and attentiveness of the staff, how they all worked so hard, and what a wonderful place the Madison was! Many even expressed that they couldn't believe how they were greeted by staff offering them vouchers for the parking and how they were made to feel so welcome. Many of the guests have also expressed that based on their experience of the evening, they have recommended the Madison to others. As for us, there aren't enough stars to adequately rate the Madison. They excel in all areas--personnel, service, facilities, support, presentation, quality, food, etc. We personally have also told others that if they ever have to have a wedding reception, look no further than the Madison! They are definitely \"one stop\" wedding event planning! Thank you to each of the employees for making my daughter's wedding reception absolutely perfect in every way! You are the best! We were in the Loft for our ceremony and the Emerald Ballroom for our reception, and both spaces were absolutely beautiful! Our main reasons for selecting this venue were the all-inclusive nature of the package, getting a great deal for booking under a year from our wedding date, and the overall quality for the price we paid! We also loved that parking was free for all of our appointments and for the guests on the day of the wedding. Parking was so easy, located in the parking garage right beside Madison North and in a lot by Madison South.One of the things that amazed me the most was the incredibly fast response time to all of my inquires and concerns during the planning process. We worked with Zoe Mendenhall, and she was the BEST Event Specialist we could ever ask for! She was absolutely the sweetest, always replied within the same day, was happy to help with anything she could, and more! She eased so much of my stress during the planning process. The rest of the staff were also wonderful and really helpful: Jake and Jeri were our night of coordinators, and they ensured we were well taken care of throughout the night! They made sure we had plenty of food and drinks, and kept everything running perfectly smoothly!We also were impressed with the food! Everything was delicious, and one of our guests (who is quite the foodie) mentioned that our wedding made the top 5 for wedding food! We loved that they offered a Taste & Toast event for us to try all the food options and select our favorites, and this was complimentary! Most of all, I truly appreciated their attention to detail with respect to food allergies and preferences. I am gluten free/Celiac, and from the beginning, they always made sure I was taken care of and offered plenty of things I could eat. They also provided both kids meals and GF/vegan options for our guests!Just two complaints about the process. They were inflexible and refused to refrigerate desserts in the back for me. This threw off my original plan for dessert as my cake needed to be refrigerated because of the mousse, which was stressful in the moment and forced me to switch plans entirely. Secondly, there was a major miscommunication that came up in my details appointment two months before the wedding. I had emphasized from the beginning that Chiavari chairs were my dream and an integral part of my vision for our big day. I was assured that it would not be a problem to upgrade to these and that this was documented in my selection. It was not a fun surprise to discover just weeks before the wedding that I was not going to have the chairs for our reception, but if I wanted them, it would be an extra $2,000. Because we did not budget for this, I could not afford them, and nothing was done to take responsibility on their end.Overall, we are still happy we chose the Madison and had a wonderful experience! We were able to drop off our decorations and the staff took care of the set up. Zoe, our event details specialist handled a lot of small concerns, from napkin colors to the menu.Jake was awesome and such a huge help! He knew exactly how to do what and made sure my husband and I were at ease from ceremony to last call! We really wanted to have as much handled by one vendor and we were so happy to have found The Madison. Do be sure to have all the final details in before the last two weeks to avoid additional charges, I procrastinated which cost us about $100. Zoe worked hard to make sure too follow through with all the small details and touches I wanted emphasized at the reception. And Jake did an AMAZING job organizing the day of. Everyone I interacted with, from Nicole and Zoe to our night-of coordinator, Jake, were so attentive and responsive and made everything absolutely perfect. I was blown away by the beauty of the spaces on my wedding day...everything I wanted came to fruition, and Jake was INCREDIBLE! He made sure that not only my husband and I had enough food and beverages, he did the same for my parents. At one point, I saw him bringing my mom a plate of crab cakes since they ran out when she went over (she's still gushing about how attentive he was!!). I would recommend this place to anyone! As soon as we arrived at our reception, they were bringing us our signature drinks and made our plates for us, so that we didn't have to walk over to the buffet! They came up and checked on us throughout the night and were super sweet! I was a little nervous because our decorations had to be taken down and removed that night so that they could setup for another event and I was afraid that we would be there a while and miss our after-party. The Madison Staff basically did everything and broke down the room so quickly! They even took our decorations over to Hotel Covington for us and put them in storage, so that we could go to our after-party! Everyone raved about how delicious the food was, and our decor and vision came to life thanks to the staff. Amy was awesome and was always checking in on us making sure we had to enough to eat, drink, etc. Zoe was amazing to work with through the planning process. She really helped us pull together the vision we had for our dream reception and it panned out beautifully! Our photo booth was broken on and off through the night, and they forgot to provide our guest book, but we were all having so much fun in such a great atmosphere it was hard to think about anything going wrong. I forgot my laptop the night before at our rehearsal dinner and Amy was gracious enough to run it across to Hotel Covington! Parking is free and the staff gathers all your belongings at the end and takes it to your car for you. In other words, they cover everything! The chefs were magnificent to work with and recreated our inspiration meals in a way that completely blew our minds! The Madison took care of nearly everything! They gave our requests special attention, whether big or small. The ceremony and reception spaces were perfect. We had an amazing time, and months later we are still hearing from our guests expressing how much they enjoyed our wedding. We had our ceremony in the Loft and reception in the Emerald and both rooms were such beautiful spaces to make into our own and fit our ~160 guests with plenty of room to spare for dancing and special tables (highly recommend the bourbon bar and s'mores station - they were huge hits!) Candice and Zoe answered every question quickly and were so helpful throughout the entire planning process! They went above and beyond to make sure any idea or request I had could come to life. Our day-of coordinators (one was named Carla) far exceeded the expectations of a coordinator! Not once did myself, the groom or any of our family members/wedding party have an empty drink in their hands and they were working the entire day to keep everything running smoothly from the decorations, to the food (delicious!) to the special dances. They even packed up all of our decorations on a cart at the end of the night to make it easier for our parents to get everything back to the hotel.
