My husband and I had our wedding at Magnolia Mansion this November (2023) and I still have not stopped receiving comments from our friends and family about what a perfect venue it was!The owners of this venue have put so much intentionality and thoughtfulness into renovating the space and it clearly shows. Our wedding flowed seamlessly from one space to the next (because they currently have and will soon have even more options for spaces for ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception). The other thing that I loved about this space was the flexibility of it! Because it is an inn and wedding venue, there were so many unique spaces for us to use for pictures, and even for the wedding party to spend time together after guests began to leave. Our photographer even commented on how many different options there were for pictures! But truly the thing that made this venue extra special were the owners. From start to finish, I could tell that they were so invested in making this day special for not only my husband and I, but our families as well! They were so communicative with us throughout the process, and especially as last minute details came together. We ended up visiting the venue multiple times throughout the wedding planning process, and the owners were so accommodating with setting up times during the week that worked around our work schedules so that we could finalize details on site.Even after the wedding, when I realized I had left a few items at the venue, the owners set my things aside and followed up with me directly about them so that I could come pick them up! This venue has all of the beauty of an upscale, classic wedding venue, with the feel of a family-owned business that really cares about making your event the experience of a lifetime! We were so excited to book this venue when it was under the name Apple Blossom Inn. After the current owners purchased it, the interactions with the new manager and owners were shockingly unprofessional and odd. In the first conversation with the new manager, she told me my existing contract was null and void since there were new owners. What? I knew that wasn't true. So I kept asking questions about changes that were made since the venue changed ownership. In this conversation and subsequent conversations, we were perplexed by the ever changing information given regarding what was included with the package I purchased and was in my contract that was signed months prior. Often in the same conversation we were provided contradictory statements about the use of the pool, hot tub, man cave, staffing, and china, among many other things. They provide at least one staff on the day of the event. However, we were told that if we used our wedding planner we'd been working with for months, that they would not assist us on our special day unless there was an emergency. Many times in these conversations they said to us, \"We want to make you happy. We want to work this out.\" I cannot recall one problem they resolved. They instead repeatedly told us what we couldn't do even though it was in our signed contract. They also repeatedly talked badly about other professionals (and brides) and were putting us in the middle of their disputes. Needless to say, we decided not to use this venue which resulted in us needing to postpone our wedding because we did not have enough time to find another place for our special day. Shamir Blaydes(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 18-09-2022 My husband and I enjoyed the timeless charm of the Apple Blossom Inn. The inn's owner, Peggy, was truly a blessing. For months, she promptly answered my questions regardless of the time. She provided much-needed guidance at the rehearsal and made sure the ceremony flowed. She also helped us save so much money by providing items from decorations to flower girl baskets. On our wedding day, both Peggy and her partner, Mike, went above and beyond to help make our day as stress-free as possible. It warmed my heart. For example, we did not have a catering staff or a bartender so Peggy and Mike graciously filled those roles. The bakery forgot some of the cake decorations so Peggy found some flowers to go on our cake. Our wedding was wonderful and we are so grateful to Peggy (and Mike) for their large part in making the day great. Reviewed on 23-10-2022

We did a self guided tour so we could talk over everything we saw and then came back to talk to Peggy. The grounds were amazing and we loved every inch of it.Peggy: she's fun, bubbly, enthusiastic, and does a thousand things at the same time but completes everything. She's super fun and attentive. Jessie Verive(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 19-05-2019 I would first like to note that no matter what, my wedding day was fantastic, everything either one of us could have wanted. Peggy is the owner of this venue and she is extremely kind, courteous, and overall wants to give you the perfect day of your dreams. She was also our caterer, officiant, and florist, which I point out mainly because it meant she was incredibly busy the day of and that we relied on her immensely for our wedding needs. When my momma and I toured the venue what really sold me other than the beauty and charm of the location and ability to stay the night with as many guests as could fit in the house was that she said she would be our wedding planner as well. The reason this was so essential is that my husband lived in Hawaii and I live in Maryland with both of us having full time jobs, which I meant I couldn't just \"pop-by\" the venue. I found that Peggy is truly great at managing her venue and making your day-of perfect, but I would not define her as a wedding planner. The internet and cell reception at the venue is spotty (which is where Peggy lives) and at times non-existent which means you can only reach her by email. This would have been alright, but she is not great at managing/tracking conversations via email. Multiple times the same questions were asked over email and when meeting in person, most of her notes are on scratch paper, and all-in-all she ended up asking the same questions again over text/email the week of and day before, which I found at times irritating and incredibly stressful. If you choose this venue, do not expect an overly-organized and deadline savvy wedding planner. Come to her with your own plan, printed materials, etc. and patience, because in the end Peggy cares about each couple at her venue. In addition, perhaps it is just my overly clean attitude, but I felt that with how much you pay, the house could use a once over, in the bathrooms especially. All that aside, this venue truly is a dream come true. Everything looked beautiful, my groom and I were happy, everyone had fun, and Peggy did everything to the best of her ability to ensure every tiny detail went according to plan. I would suggest this venue for a couple who falls in love with the look and feel of it and has supportive friends or loved ones to help you make sure you get what you want out of your special day. Peggy is the main reason why my wife and I chose this venue. She is full of energy, spunky, and motivating. It is obvious that she loves what she does and she really cares about the bride and groom.Throughout the week Peggy works on your wedding making sure everything is going to be perfect. She puts the alcohol you bring in coolers (if you donât have a bartending service) and lets you see what decorations she has that you can use.We also opted to have Peggy cater our wedding for simplicity. Her service was one of the best parts of the night. My wife and I still have guests telling us how awesome the food was two weeks after the wedding. We had a guest count of 50 which felt perfect for the venue; no one felt crowded but there werenât awkward extra spaces. Peggy also makes sure of that by only setting out as many chairs as you will need for the ceremony. Even when everybody was dancing on the dance floor there was more then enough space for everybody to have fun. We had people dancing, mingling, playing cornhole, a photo booth, and drinking. Then, as the evening came to a close, we had our friends and family chilling in the hot tub, swimming in the pool, and my favorite part (besides marrying my best friend) sitting by the firepit eating smores. We had an amazing wedding at The Apple Blossom Inn. She went back on almost everything she said. She was unreachable during almost the entire wedding planning process. She does not take care of the venue. There was trash everywhere and we had clean up the majority. Right before the wedding, the sewage backed up into the backyard (where the reception is) with toilet paper and tampons! Her kitchen had dead bugs and mold everywhere. She gave us our final invoice 2 hours before the wedding (supposed to receive 10 days in advance). She is the party planner, she cleans the tables, she gives instructions to bartender, DJ, people in the kitchen, and also the wedding guests, about what not to do. It was total confusion about everything, is the bar open or not, can we dance or not, what about the toast, it goes on and on. She would interrupt and speak out loud, either speaking loud, or grabbing the mic from the DJ, out of place. She started with telling all the guests , right before the wedding ceremony started, the history of the house, that it was called a plantation but it never had slaves, that the original owners gave her a portrait or some sort of painting that was hanging in the house. Then she said that she had to add another table in a corner for a group of people that did not RSVP, and decided to show up at the wedding, \"she is not naming anybody\ Reviewed on 10-10-2016
Stacey Ornelas(wedding party)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 17-11-2017 This venue is beautiful at first glance, however when you spend more than just a walk through there you realize how disgusting it is. This is my second wedding I attended here, first one I stayed the night there and participated as a bridesmaid, second, I assisted my best friend as her daughter was getting married. Both times I there was horrible, with the second visit being worse. No one is allowed in the kitchen, and the reason for that is simply nastiness. The kitchen had bugs all around the fridge seal, the counter tops looked as if they had not been cleaned in weeks, and mold is everywhere! The floors throughout the house are very dirty, nothing has been dusted in ages, and the outside areas have junk hidden behind every bush. The pool looked decent however, with the rest of the upkeep there was no way we were getting in it. I could keep going on and on about how gross this place is but it would be a whole narrative. As far as Peggy goes, she is super nice, but does not follow through with nothing she says. One example being the order of the flowers through her florist, they were never ordered by her, and she did not let anyone know until the evening before the wedding. The food that she hosted for the reception was horrible, the steak tasted freezer burnt, and the vegetables had no flavor, if we had noticed how horrible the kitchen were prior to the reception dinner, the food would have never been prepared in there and served from there. In conclusion, if you are wanting to have a wonderful wedding with less stress, by all means AVOID this place. Don't let the first look drag you in, because you will end up regretting it........... I was really set on a date that she unfortunately had on hold for another couple. Instead of saying \"sorry I can't help\" she gave me some ideas to make what I wanted work. I really appreciate her focus on my desires. Reviewed on 23-08-2016
Sara Smithers(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 21-05-2016 I married my best friend here and it was magical. The home is amazing and Peggy makes it feel like home when you are there. She found someone to do hair and makeup in less than 12 hours when I couldn't. It was amazing. We went with the option to have bouquets and boutonniĂšres made with her, and they turned out more amazing than I ever imagined. The day of the wedding I didn't worry about anything because I knew she would take care of it. And she did. I could go on and on about how wonderful she is. The house speaks for itself and Peggy makes it feel like home. Thank you for everything Peggy. You are a wonderful, amazing, beautiful person, and I am so blessed to have met you! Maile Baker(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 25-07-2015 Wow! I gave Peggy Snead (owner of Apple Blossom Plantation and wedding coordinator) my colors and an idea of what I wanted. She crafted all of the floral arrangements for the wedding ceremony, wedding party, and wedding reception herself. I was blown away with how elegant the flowers came out! The flowers were healthy enough to survive the 3+hour car ride home the day after the wedding as well! Reviewed on 28-07-2015
Jennifer Mejia(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 12-12-2015 I hate to give such a low review, but I went to tour this venue with my fiance and my father, and we were all totally disappointed. We arrived early for our appointment, because Peggy had invited me to listen in on a wedding planning meeting she had, which I thought was great. She did provide coffee and hot tea for us to drink while we sat and waited. First of all, Peggy has A LOT of energy. I have a more laid back personality and do not believe I would have been able to keep up with her for the many months until my wedding date. Eventually, she offered that we give ourselves a self-tour while we waited for her to finish up, again, this was fine. \r\rBut then we walked around. The house looked like it had not been cleaned in years. There was a noticeable layer of dust and dirt on the hardwood floors, which could also have desperately benefited from a nice polishing. There was also a corner china cabinet that had a chunk torn off, and the front doors were being held together by scotch tape. They have a pool out back and the cover was cracked and ripped. Since I was planning a December wedding, this was quite an eyesore. They also have those heaters outside for guests that may want to sneak away for a quick smoke, they looked like they had been thrown off the roof. Completely dilapidated. \r\rMy fiance and father were so thrown off by the appearance of the property they they left before our appointment time had even started. I apologized to Peggy and saw myself out. She texted me a little while after we left and told me that she had her girls coming in to clean later that day, but I thought that would be something that should be taken care of before a potential client comes to view the property. Jess Keating(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 04-10-2014 My husband and I just got married at Apple Blossom this past October. Peggy was awesome to work with! She is so knowledgeable about all the details and will really help you stick to your budget. So many things were including in the price for our venue. And not only is Peggy the owner of the venue she is a caterer as well. A great bonus to help streamline the amount of vendors you have. Peggy is super sweet and wants you to have the wedding of your dreams. She can be a little delayed to email responses but have some patience, she will get back to you! We are beyond grateful for all her help! We are SO happy with our choice to get married at Apple Blossom! *Notes to brides: If you have a specific date in September-October book early! I booked a whole year before our wedding and a lot of the weekends in those months were already booked! Reviewed on 11-11-2014
Annamae Meyer(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 26-10-2013 My husband and I enjoyed the entire wedding planning process with Peggy. She gives each of her brides the time they need to feel comfortable about the wedding day. I emailed her weekly for about 6 months.Ha-ha. She always responded and gave numerous resources to help us save money. My husband and I paid for the wedding ourselves and Peggy gave us options for DIY money savers and ways to keep us within our budget. We stayed at the plantation for the entire weekend with our wedding party. The weekend was like a huge party with our friends and family. Friday was the rehearsal dinner and after party. Saturday brunch and primping for the wedding. Above all, Peggy acted as a wedding coordinator for the wedding and reception. Peggy even cooks the guest breakfast in the morning after the wedding. She made us feel welcome and like family at the Plantation. Even after the wedding, she keeps in touch with you when needed. The plantation is beautiful and can be low cost or high society with all of the options they offer. Apple Blossom is now one of our family memories that we will always cherish. \r\rThank you Peggy, \rCory & Annamae Reviewed on 15-12-2013
My husband and I were married at Apple Blossom Plantation on Sept. 1. After visiting the site for the first time, my fiance said \"Honey, that's the one.\" And he was right! From the moment we met Peggy, we were addicted to her energy and love for her job. She is attentive, creative and supportive. (After the wedding my grandparents said they wanted to adopt her.) As you approach the B&B down the driveway, it is breathtaking. The inside is beautifully decorated and feels warm and inviting. This site is functional for both large and small weddings. I got ready in the large bridal suite. Our ceremony was in the front of the home near the fountain. What I loved most about the bridal suite, is that I could peak out the window and see my guests arrive. I could see my husband waiting for me at the end of the aisle. The ceremony was beautiful and went off without a hitch. The coctail hour was held inside the B&B. My favorite part of the inside of the B&B, is the shelves next to where they put the bar. Because our wedding was smaller, my husband and I decided to frame pictures of us with all our guests. The shelves accomidated all the pictures, which looked classy and personal and photographed beautifully. The rain started just as our reception kicked off, but that was ok- because Apple Blossom's tent in the backyard is attached to the home, so no one got wet walking out to the reception. Peggy worked closely with our vendors to make sure everything was done right, and on time. Apple Blossom did the catering for the event and all the food was hot, flavorful and delicious. After the reception had died down, my husband and I made our way to the bridal suite and found that Peggy had been hard at work, leaving us a special surprise in our room. We also felt relieved because our family members, such as my grandparents who are in their late 70s, stayed in one of the rooms at Apple Blossom. It was a relief that they did not have to drive home in the dark! The next morning, Peggy was there bright and early to make us a divine breakfast. Those were the best cheese eggs I have EVER tasted! I don't usually write reviews, but I felt compelled to share just how perfect our day was. It all started when we chose Apple Blossome Plantation, and it's the best wedding decision we made. (Other than getting engagaed, of course). Peggy is one of the family now, and we plan to keep in touch for years to come. Well done Peggy and crew :) Thanks for the memories! Reviewed on 16-09-2013
Jaclyn Harding(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 20-10-2012 I cannot emphasize enough how wonderfully everything went my wedding day/weekend, and I owe a big part of that to Peggy Snead and her Apple Blossom Plantation. The place was beautiful for a late October wedding, and Peggy went above and beyond the call of duty. There were about 130 people at my wedding and the plantation was the perfect fit. Most of the other vendors were recommended by Peggy and they were all fantastic; things went that much more smoothly because the photographer, DJ, and cake lady were all familiar with the venue and setup. I highly recommend the plantation, and also Ms. Peggy Snead as your event planner! Reviewed on 19-01-2013
Anita Minor(wedding party)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 28-06-2008 This place was an absolute disgusting mess. I was there for a wedding over the summer. The owner Peggy got drunk with her boyfriend instead of do her job. The Apple Blossom Plantation is also known as the Bermuda Triangle because conveniently some things disappear. This place is beyond gross. There was trash left in the kitchen from at least the weekend before if not the month. Which did not help the fly population. The pool has not been shocked or cleaned in years it looked like. She claims she has a \"staff\" but I think it is just her multiple personalities coming out. I DO NOT recommend this to anyone. \r Reviewed on 07-11-2011
Michele Rodriguez(wedding party)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 22-10-2011 Untrustworthy, sneaky, and all around full of it Owner. Do NOT trust anything she tells you!!!!! Read the contract VERY VERY good! Problems from start to finish with her, including booking two weddings in one day, which meant 1 had to be rescheduled, and guess who's????? The place is beautiful at first glance....but at a closer look, it's DIRTY and falling apart. For the money go somewhere else, anywhere else. If you want your day to be special and drama free....DO NOT BOOK HERE!!!!!! Reviewed on 06-09-2011

Sarah Morr(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 10-10-2010 I chose Apple Blossom Plantation after seeing it for the first time. The owner is wonderfully sweet and wants everything to go just as the bride plans. She can even suggest local vendors used before that are familiar with the plantation. The location itself is wonderful for a classic wedding, you get the southern feel of the home but with contemporary ammenities, like a large catering kitchen and 5 working bathrooms. \r\rThe house also has a 30x60 tent attached to the back of the house which worked perfectly for our wedding. All of our guests were impressed by the cozy feel of home along with the classic country plantation vibe. Reviewed on 14-11-2010
