From the Smallest Details, to the Grandest Events

For over 35 years, this family-owned business in Hilliard, OH has collaborated with engaged couples to design weddings that embody all of the wonderful emotions that come with saying “I do”. Couples can host grand receptions of up to 300 guests at this magnificent venue with an outdoor ceremony garden option, in house food and beverages, and ample free parking. We provide all set-up and tear down, assist with decorations and provide a Day Of Coordinator. Outside catering is not permitted at this venue (except desserts!)

We were able to hold both our wedding ceremony and reception at the Makoy Center and the day could not have gone better. The staff at this venue, specifically Erin Daniel, was so amazing at helping us plan our day and available whenever we needed to ask any questions. They truly went above and beyond to make sure we were accommodated, and everything went smoothly. Makoy made wedding planning so much easier and was worth every penny spent. We were able to use this venue for catering, bartending, linen, and much more. The only additional vendors we used were DJ, photographer, videographer, dessert, and floral. By choosing them we cut our planning time by more than half. Additionally, the Makoy center was willing to go above and beyond in making sure that the day ran smoothly. Part of their service is to have a day of coordinator to captain the event. We requested Erin and they made our experience one I will never forget, and I could not imagine it going any better. Erin kept us on schedule and made sure that we had sufficient planning in order to ensure that everything was exactly how we envisioned it. We were able to drop off our personal decor the week of the wedding and have staff at the Makoy set up in order to have a stress-free rehearsal and wedding day. Finally, the food was so amazing and the unique tasting the Makoy puts them over the top for all inclusive venues. The Makoy holds their tastings as an event for couples having events within the next few months with an open bar, room set up, and DJ to truly give you a preview of the space in action with items from each tier of their services.

If you’re on the fence about the makoy center, think no more. This was hands down the easiest part of planning my wedding. Clay, Erin, & Matt are so accommodating, the right amount of chill, and offer their insights. They made my big day go off without any issues. Now the food, this is fancy restaurant level food, not boring bland wedding food. My guests still can’t stop talking about ALL of the food. Thank you thank you thank you. We can’t say it enough.

The Makoy Center was the perfect decision for our wedding! We decided to not go with a wedding planner due to budget and the makoy center delivered on the important things like: Catering, Day of Coordinator, decorations and clean up crew. They listened to everything we wanted to make our wedding to be and they did an excellent making it happen.The food was great, our decorations were lovely, the staff were attentive to all our needs!The only thing was our day of coordinator. She was great but wished she lead more during our ceremony rehearsal and during the wedding. We needed a few things from her during the wedding and was hard to find her at times.Other than that, we loved our experience!

The Makoy center will be one of the best decisions you can make when planning your wedding. The moment we walked in the Emerald room, we knew that it was the right place for us. The value you get at the Makoy center is incredible. We wanted to pay for our wedding ourselves and they made that possible. We had about 150 guests. They all loved how spacious the room was and they had room to move around. We cannot speak highly enough about the food too. Every. Single. Guest told us they felt extremely full and very content. From the hors d'oeuvres to the meal, it was all perfect. We had some guests literally stalking the wait staff to get more. And again, it was reasonably priced. The whole process of planning and working with the planning team at the makoy center was made super easy with Matt and Erin. They answered all our questions and seem to be there all the time. There was not a single thing that they could have done better.

The Makoy Center is a wonderful place for a wedding and reception! Matt worked with us very closely from day 1. Everything from the planning meetings to the pricing to the tasting events were all communicated very well! The day of coordinator Reagan was awesome making sure everything went smoothly! The food was amazing and we had lots of compliments on the food selections! Our guests had a great time and I would recommend this place to everyone!

The Makoy Center was truly a luxury experience at a reasonable price. The staff here take caring for their customers very seriously. Matt, Erin, and Reagan were all excellent to work with. They made my wedding vision come true all while keeping me calm, cool and collected. No question or request was too big. On the day of the event they took care of communicating with vendors and getting everything taken care of so the bride and groom could relax. My family loved how helpful and friendly Reagan and Matt both were throughout the event. 10 out of 10 Would highly recommend!

Matt and Erin were absolutely phenomenal from the beginning of the process to the end, but the real recognition should go to Reagan as she was phenomenal throughout the entire day of rehearsal, and the entire day of the reception she made being a bride, effortless and easy, she was there with me every single step of the way. The entire Makoy staff was excellent to work with! From the initial meeting, tasting, decor and final meeting everything ran smoothly. Staff was very responsive and sent reminders on upcoming payments which was very helpful. The food was great! They made sure day off ran smoothly and were very accommodating! The Makoy Center was beyond great! They made wedding planning and the little details much more manageable and easy to check of my to-do list! The planning process was smooth with the staff and they made sure all my wants and requests were accommodated for! They also provided other vendors that have worked in their facilities before which made planning much easier and the vendors already knew how to navigate the facilities! Beautiful, all inclusive venue.The only things we needed from off site was an officiant, DJ & cake. They were always available pre-wedding, were upfront about costs, and the food was delicious. On the top of my list were ceremony and reception in the same room, to enjoy my cocktail hour and be able to eat, and have someone else do all the set-up & tear down. Everything was taken care of & we had a beautiful, memorable event!

Absolutely 100% recommend booking with this venue! We enjoyed every part of the process with this venue as Matt and Clay made it a stress free and flexible process to meet our needs. They work with you to plan and pay based on your needs and timeline. They keep you on schedule with all the required essentials. And they always ask what they can do to make the day better for you including bringing us specialized dinner plates right to our table so that we didn’t have to get in line for our food. Everything is also very reasonable priced for all those couples out there who have a budget plan (as most do). What’s so great about our experience is that we did not sacrifice any quality for the price! Our guests enjoyed a wonderful night with wonderful staff that catered to everyone!

I wanted a venue that took care of everything so I could enjoy my daughter’s wedding and the Makoy center did not disappoint! From the first time we met with Matt a year ago to plan the event I felt fully confident in my daughter’s decision choosing them. You have the ability to have a outdoor or indoor wedding if needed, there was what I called a “mock reception” where you come and taste test the food they offer which was ALL AMAZING! Matt is always available for questions and meets with you again close to the wedding to make sure everything is in place. They are SO ORGAINZED that there is no way you could forget a thing! The day of the wedding Clay met us at the door with carts to help unload everything you brought to add to the occasion. With his checklist in hand he goes over what you have and listens to what you want to do with it with suggestions himself that may I add is the way to go because he made the room look absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Now that it’s all over I am kind of sad that I won’t need to communicate anymore with them, ha, ha Everyone at the Makoy Center was extremely professional, helpful and friendly and gave my daughter a night to remember!

I can't say enough good things about the Makoy Center. My son got married over the weekend and they took care of everything with a smile and a can do attitude. They fed 200 people in about 15 minutes. I heard over and over again by my guests that this was the best wedding they had been to. The room looked beautiful, the food was outstanding, the DJ was fun and got people dancing and the photographer was great. Thank you so much for making this such a memorable event.

The Mckoy Center was the perfect venue for my daughter's wedding and we visited many venues before making our decision. This was a perfect fit. They offered us many options to make this event go exactly the way we wanted. We were able to drop off all of our decorations and they set everything up for us. It was gorgeous!! People are still talking about how beautiful everything was. I'm so appreciative of the Mckoy staff - they made our experience so comfortable, easy and seamless. I am especially grateful to Matt and Adrian who took the lead on everything and gave us a one-of-a-kind experience. The Mckoy Center is an excellent choice for any event!

This was the perfect place. Erin Daniels was wonderful to work with - actually every person I meet at the Makoy Center was wonderful. They helped with every step of the way. Whether I had a question that could be answered over the phone or the personalized attention I got from our in person meetings. They could not have made things easier for me. The venue was was very nice and was the perfect spot for my morning wedding and brunch. The food was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend the chicken and waffles. We paired the day with a mimosa bar that was a huge hit with our wedding guests. The event coordinator who worked with us on the actual day of the wedding was great - she had everything moving along smoothly all day. I cannot say enough good things about the Makoy Center and their wonderful staff. I am absolutely impressed with them.

The Makoy Center was everything we wanted for our reception! Beautiful venue, amazing food, helpful staff, while also not being outrageously priced as many vendors can be. My only very MINOR complaint was that we confirmed that we could pick up our decorations the day after our wedding (since they take care of tear down), however after my husband and I left my maid of honor was told she needed to take everything because they had a wedding next day. Not a huge deal, she was happy to do it and it got done with staff's help as well! I just wish it had been communicated better so she could've had more help from the rest of our bridal party. I still wouldn't change anything about our choice of venue- Matt was always helpful even when I emailed him at 11pm panicking about something I read on Reddit! I would recommend this venue for anyone planning a wedding :)

Makoy center walked us through all the details leading up to the big day in July. The decorations that they set up during the day looked absolutely beautiful, elegant, and grand. The serving staff could be better because they sometimes disappeared during the night and we would have to go looking for them. The food/ catering could also be better! They need to include more cultural foods as the demographics of Hilliard/ Dublin are changing. The food menu mostly only consisted of \"traditional American Foods\" and it was not the best food as expected but it was decent. we were not allowed to bring outside catering but Makoy Center should consider that moving forward or provide different cultural cuisines as an option. The pricing of the event was also decent and not too expensive and remained within out budget. Overall, Makoy center did a great job and we would definitely consider holding another event here!

We are very thankful to have our wedding at the Makoy center. From the moment we walked in to start planning to see if it was a right fit to the end of the reception, we were amazed at the talented and friendly staff. We walked into the Burgundy Room to see if we would like to have our reception there, and were amazed at how beautiful the room and setup was.Makoy had both great indoor and outdoor options for our ceremony, and while we planned on having an outdoor ceremony, they were flexible enough to change it the morning of the wedding to indoors due to rain.Matt worked with us within our budget, and offered many suggestions, but was never pushy towards extra decorations. Makoy took care of all of the details during the ceremony and reception in a very organized fashion, and helped make the occasion fantastic for us, our family and friends, and relieved much of the day of stress of the planning.The food was fantastic and every detail of the wedding was planned with care and flawless on their part.

We held our wedding reception here in the Burgundy Room, in May 2021. Wedding coordinators were very responsive, great value, day-of event staff were attentive. Food is delicious, especially recommend the au gratin potatoes and candied bacon. Only good things to say about them, highly recommend!

The Makoy Center was the best place to get married! I cannot express how much we loved the Makoy Center. Matt and all the staff really helped pull together everything we could dream of for our wedding. Matt was quick to respond to any emails I sent. The day of coordinator Jacob was amazing and led us through a great rehearsal and an even better wedding day. Matt was one of our bartenders and made the night fantastic. The food was top notch. We went to a tasting the previous January and found what we wanted. We’re still getting compliments on the food and the venue. Everyone at Makoy is super professional and really makes your day special!!!

Absolutely the best staff I could have worked with! Through the planning process, day-before, and day-of I could not have had a more cooperative venue. I was planning my wedding from four states away, but they were helpful in scheduling meetings around my travel schedule. All I had to do was show up for the wedding, as I knew they were taking care of everything else.And, THE FOOD!!! Hands down the best wedding food I have ever tasted, and I wasn't even planning on eating! Even a week after the wedding, I am still getting compliments on the venue, the staff, the bar, and the FOOD! Did I mention the FOOD?? COVID or not, The Makoy Center is without a doubt the best wedding venue I could have imagined, and they made my day truly unforgettable!!

I honestly don’t have enough words to describe how amazing this venue is. From constant communication and transparency and planning to day of coordinating and everything in between. Planning a wedding is stressful. Planning a wedding during a global pandemic is absolutely insane. The staff at the Makoy Center made all of the crazy seem so minimal. They truly took our vision and made it come to life and allowed us the room to step back and just focus on us while they did all of the “heavy lifting”. We worked with Matt directly and I can’t say enough great things about him. He has such a down to Earth personality and is great at making sure he answers all of your questions in a timely manner and if he doesn’t know an answer right away- he will figure it out for you. As a gay man, finding a venue was something that my husband and I had stressed out about initially in terms of finding someone and some place that would be accepting of us but the Makoy Center made us feel as welcomed as if we were talking to our closest family members. They were very affordable and flexible with us on what we wanted from layout designs to color scheme to decorations. We had a theme wedding for the Wizard of Oz and being in the Emerald Room was just a selling point for us. Large enough to have plenty of guests but also to allow us to be mindful of COVID. We initially invited almost 260 guests, got yes rsvps from 140 and only had about 100 of them show up. Even if all 140 would have came, we still would have had plenty of room to social distance and allow everyone of our guests to feel safe. I cannot say enough good things about The Makoy Center and their staff. Clay and Matt are the most amazing people to work with and went above and beyond in everything. We had to change our wedding plans with Covid and they were super accommodating and made sure our day was still perfect. We were able to do a smaller ceremony and meal and they worked with us to move our bigger reception to next year when our out-of-state friends and family can safely join us. The food was AMAZING as well. I know people don't spend a lot of time talking about the sides they get with their dinners, but the potatoes tasted exactly like the ones my Granny used to make and that is the HIGHEST praise I can give! Seriously, if you are looking for a venue that will give you that fairy tale wedding you've always wanted, you have found that with Makoy.

We could not have asked for a better place to have a wedding! Matt was extremely welcoming and responded to emails quickly! It's an elegant venue that was more than willing to accommodate and even improve on our quirky style. The staff even dressed up in Halloween costumes along with the guests. I have extreme anxiety and they took care of EVERYTHING. My officiant even said how great of a place it was. Major shout out to Stephanie, our event coordinator. Felt like i had known her for years. She made our day as perfect as could be, made sure groom didnt see bride before ceremony, relayed messages, took care of rehearsal, even had ALL 15 complicated center pieces packaged up and ready to go by the end of the night. I HIGHLY recommend her. She was just as excited about the day as we were and i seriously cant thank everyone involved enough for a great day

We can not thank The Makoy Center and all their staff! Our wedding on 9/19/2020 was amazing and everything that we wanted. Jacob and Clay did an amazing job making our day so beautiful. The food was amazing! All of our guests commented on how wonderful and beautiful the Makoy Center was. We had perfect weather for our outdoor ceremony. Everything was flawless. Everyone was so friendly, helpful easy to work with from day 1 of planning. The corona virus may have made it stressful planning but The Makoy Center made it a breeze. The Makoy Center was the first any only venue we looked at. We just knew this was the place. We will definitely be back for any party we have.

Working with Clay and his staff at Makoy was the best experience that we could have asked for and more in preparing for our special day! They were the first to get back to us when we were wanting to schedule venue tours, they are affordable, and they work with you in every way to make sure that your special day is tailored to what you want. Clay was easy to contact whenever we needed to schedule a quick Zoom meeting to discuss concerns about COVID and how those concerns would be addressed. They worked with our schedules when it came to scheduling our detailed meeting and the food tasting, which by the way, the food was DELICIOUS. We chose the BBQ buffet which we highly recommend! Clay was also our day-of coordinator and did an incredible job helping us get through everything. Overall, we had an amazing experience with Makoy and will definitely be telling those that we know getting married about this place and our amazing experience!

When we were touring venues, we were between the Makoy center and another one. We would not have had the amazing wedding we did without the Makoy center and everyone there! Matt is absolutely our favorite person in the world, he answered all of our questions promptly, didn’t get annoyed with overbearing family, and all around just did anything possible to make sure we were at ease. The day of the wedding and the rehearsal our main guy was Jake, he was absolutely amazing and made us feel exactly how Matt did. He was so organized, answered my 102982 questions because I had no idea what I was doing. All of our guests loved the food and the staff, and overall the environment was just 10/10.You 100% need to keep this venue in mind when doing your venue research!

I wish we could give 10 stars because of how wonderful this place is! The staff is incredible and so organized! They set up our entire reception for us and the staff was so attentive and organized! Matt was a huge help getting everything together and ready and Clay was a huge help day of making sure everything went great! The food was incredible and our guests raved about it! At the end of the night the service staff had already wrapped up individual cake pieces left over for guests and wrapped our cake as well! Our family has now held two receptions at this venue. There really aren't adequate words to convey our gratitude with how outstanding the staff treated us and how perfect the evening was for our daughter and new son in law. Postponing and rescheduling a wedding was our worst nightmare. Thankfully, the staff here went Above and Beyond in accomodating all our requests, were always accessible, and made sure ALL CDC Guidelines were fully implemented. The food was over the top, and guests went up for seconds and thirds. Kudos to the chef, and also the kind and cheerful bar staff who kept the drinks flowing and everyone in good spirits. As guests said their goodbyes they had only the highest praise for the friendly staff and the way they interacted with our family and friends. Never once, in all that went with having to go with the flow during Covid-19, was I treated with anything other than support, understanding, and a willingness to accommodate us by this staff. I can't imagine a more beautiful venue or outstanding people to work with anywhere else in Central Ohio.Thank you, Matt, Clay, and Erin for giving us the best night we could have dreamed of. You exceeded every expectation.

The venue itself is beautiful but it’s everything else that made this experience perfect. Matt and the rest of the team were super helpful and accommodating even up till the day before the wedding with last minute changes. The real surprise came the night of the rehearsal when we met Jacob. We had no idea anyone would actually help us coordinate the wedding itself, let alone setup all the decorations we brought ourselves. 10/10 we love the Makoy Center and their staff!

Makoy Center was the first wedding venue that we looked at and we knew that we didn't need to look anywhere else! Matt answered all of our questions and was very happy to work with us! Makoy Center made planning the wedding so easy! Matt and Clay are knowledgeable about all of the wedding details and are pleasure to work with. Erin and Jake are amazing! I was there early before the wedding and Erin helped me set up the aisle runner exactly how I wanted it. Jake was our day of wedding coordinator. Before the ceremony, I was nervous about throwing my toss bouquet and he practiced catching the bouquet a couple of times so I wouldn't be as nervous. He is very easy going, friendly, and so much fun to work with! My husband and I can not say enough how much we really appreciate the Makoy Center. The people are great, the venue is gorgeous, and the food is incredible. Any future events that we have to plan are going to be at the Makoy Center! If you want an amazing wedding, choose the Makoy Center!

We got married in Hawaii and had our reception back here at the Makoy center and they nailed it! From the awesome communication to just being super friendly we were sold to have our event here. The emerald room was our room that was just right for us. They customized everything for us and made our dream reception come true. Erin our onsite coordinator was the bomb. Before anything went wrong she was ahead of the game. You would miss out on not having them involved in your wedding planning.

Our best decision in planning our wedding was to use the Makoy Center for our ceremony and reception. From our first meeting Matt was professional, informative, and helpful. Matt and Clay have the planning process down to a science- we appreciated all of their input and advice. We were able to serve a plated menu because the cost was very reasonable, even though we had a rather large guest list. Even without paying for “upgrades,” the room looked beautiful for our day. Nick was our day-of coordinator, and he was great- easy to work with, quick to adapt to change, and right there when we needed something. The food was delicious, we are still getting compliments 5 months later. We did have the best bartenders in the place, and our guests kept them busy until last call! And at the end of the night, everything was packed up so quickly and efficiently for us to take, no stress at all. We highly recommend this venue!

Clay at the Makoy Center was relaxed and made my daughter's reception planning very easy for us. He was polite, professional, and accommodating to our few requests. Our day-of coordinator was attentive, and kept things on schedule. The bartender was outgoing and gracious to our guests. Seating for our guests was comfortable in the Burgundy room, and we received many compliments on the food. The Makoy Center was the perfect location for our wedding. We worked with Matt throughout the process of planning, plus we had Nick as our day of coordinator. Matt was great at answering questions quickly and with patience (I had A LOT of random questions through out). Matt was even present on the day of the wedding, which was very nice! Anything we needed, Matt figured out a way to provide it. I met Nick at the rehearsal and he took great notes of everything I needed, made sure the DJ and minister were all set to go with their plans, as well. Throughout the day of the wedding and into the evening, he and Matt continuously checked in with me and both sets of parents to ensure everything was going as planned. We are so beyond happy we chose the Makoy Center for our venue, there was zero stress, because they handled it all. They even packed up our decorations, so we did not have to worry about the night of our wedding! We also had our ceremony outside and Matt took the initiative to plant flowers and re-paint the fence and alter area to make sure it was beautiful and it was gorgeous! We also had our rehearsal dinner at the Makoy Center, which was amazing! The food both nights was so yummy!

We are beyond thrilled that we had our ceremony and reception at the Makoy Center. We felt supported throughout the entire wedding planning process. Our main contact was Matt. He took us on our initial venue tour. The thing that sold me most was how Matt spoke to both my husband and I. Other venues would talk to me about the vision while only talking to my husband when it came to financing the event. Instead Matt emphasized how this was a day for both of us, how both of us would be taken care of, and relaxed us towards planning. He was professional but personable, making us feel like we were in the hands of a friend, not a salesman. Matt was also prompt in responding to any questions we had. The day of our wedding, Clay and Alex were our on-site team and they had everything handled for us. It was actually Alex's first time being the show-runner, and he truly did a fantastic job. Both Clay and Alex were attentive while also giving us our space to do what we needed to do. The wait and bar-tending staff were excellent. The food and drinks were absolutely delicious; I can honestly say that I never ate something that I did not think was fantastic.When we first got engaged, our vision for our wedding was not a ballroom. The Makoy Center changed that for us, and it is a decision that we would 100% make again if we had to do it all over. We even had guests tell us how great the space and the staff were. Planning a wedding can be stressful, but I can say with certainty that we were never stressed with this venue. I would definitely recommend the Makoy Center to friends and family.

Matt and his staff at the Makoy Center did an absolutely fantastic job catering to our every need, and making sure our wedding was perfect. From the food to the setup, we could not have asked for a more organized and beautiful experience. Matt did such a great job communicating with us, and answering our questions (and we had many) during the process of planning our wedding that when the day arrived we had no concerns about any issues during the reception, because we were confident they would be resolved if necessary without causing us any stress. They were even flexible with dinner service after we asked to shift the schedule a little bit the day of the reception. Matt and his staff never hesitated to accommodate our requests, even though it might throw off their normal routine. One of the best things about the Makoy center was the food. We attended multiple tastings, and were blown away by the quality and consistency of every dish we sampled. That same detail and preparation went into our wedding day menu. It was delicious, and all guests were served in an extremely fast manner. The buffet was convenient and a great option to accommodate our large guest list. Lastly, Matt was extremely helpful and cost conscious when working within our budget. He never pushed anything on us, or tried to talk us into spending more money. He and his staff focused solely on what we wanted, and we never got the sense that they viewed us as just another client, which is rare when dealing with a business that performs so many events. The price, service, and amenities at the Makoy Center blew away our expectations. If you’re looking for the perfect venue, this one is for you!!!

When we booked with The Makoy Center we knew it would be the perfect venue for our day. Clay and Matt were welcoming and warm. They put all of planning worries at ease. Anytime I had a question they answered promptly and came up with the solutions we needed. The tasting offered helped us sample the wonderful catering offered by the hall, and they were very gracious about bringing our two young, and energetic boys along.We chose shrimp cocktail for our hors d'oeuvre. For dinner a mixed green and asparagus salad served with champagne vinaigrette, the crab stuffed cod, the marinated London broil, caramelized onion green beans, and herb roasted potatoes for our adult guests. And, for our younger guests we were able to offer chicken tenders, mac and cheese, and mixed fruit. They even accommodated our guests with dietary restrictions with chef's plates. The chef and staff did a flawless job in delivering and exceeding our expectations. The guests raved about how wonderful the food was. And, the service was impeccable. They even served our family made Greek pastry with great care and attention to quality.Our day of coordinator did an excellent job setting up all of our decor for the event and improvising those little details we overlooked in planning. The room was gorgeous, I couldn't even imagine how perfectly our event would turn out, the reality was just breathtaking. Our coordinator was so attentive the day of, getting us anything we needed, keeping the flow of the event on track, and going above and beyond to assure that we had a beautiful memorable experience.The signature cocktails were perfect, the bar was well serviced and all of our expectations were exceeded. I would recommend The Makoy Center to anyone as an event space. They truly cared about our experience on our wedding day and it made all of it so special.Thank you Makoy, for making our day so perfect!

The venue was great. I worked with Matt and Nick (who coordinated the day-of). Matt was incredibly prompt and helpful with communication...I never had to wait more than a few hours for a return email. The venue was also more than accommodating with helping me achieve my wedding vision! Nick was awesome on the day of...he helped keep my wedding virtually stress-free (which was what I was going for) and took care of all the details. Let's be honest, if I could give a 6th star, I totally would!I don't think we could have had the wedding of our dreams if it wasn't for The Makoy Center and their staff. After touring, we were sold. It gave us our theme, allowed us to have the laid back feel we were going for and a pizza buffet! We were truly able to check off every box that we had on our wish list. Matt and Clay listened to every crazy idea I had and helped me to achieve it or find a solution. They helped us through every step of the process and offered ideas and suggestions when we were stuck.We opted to decorate ourselves, so we had the day before to make the space our own. We walked in to all the tables already in position, so all we had to do was add the centerpieces. They let us borrow pipe and drape to create a Photo Booth and ceremony backdrop.Our day of coordinator Nick was great! He made the night run smoothly and ensured my husband and I got dinner and drinks during the bust night! He even went along with a last second streamer photo and made it happen! They help clean up after so you can walk out with no worries about returning to clean the venue.So much love to Matt, Clay, Nick and the whole team at The Makoy Center for allowing us to have the exact wedding that I had pictured in my mind. I have told everyone that the wedding that came to life was the exact one I had imagined!Others items of note. The food is great! They made us speciality pizzas and even a custom BLT pizza! Because we are in the mid-west i'll just say it, the ranch is wonderful! The drinks are wonderful and the bar is large! The getting ready rooms are perfect spaces for both the Bride and Groom and their parties. There are so many spaces around for photos, both inside the venue and out.10 Stars! Highly recommend! Our dream wedding reception came to life at the Makoy on New Years Eve. working with clay was always easy, his attention to detail and supportive nature was top notch. We booked the Burgandy Room and it was gorgeous! Our menu included the stuffed chicken and brisket along with the amazing sweet potato casserole. Our guests were thrilled with the presentation and taste of their meals.Our event captain kept us on track and took care of all the details...start to finish! We could not be more pleased and encourage you to consider Makoy for your reception.

I cannot thank Matt and his team at Makoy Center enough! From the first interview there was a great connection and I never once questioned my decision of using Makoy throughout the entire process.As most brides know, the Venue can make or break a wedding, not only did it make our wedding; but it exceeded our expectations along with most, if not all of our guests. The venue was large and we had plenty of space, the food was absolutely delicious (tenderloin and au gratin potatoes), the bar’s variety of drinks was amazing and the bartenders were very efficient!Most important the staff was out of this world. Matt works way too much and answered my crazy emails even after hours. I never once had to follow up with him, as he was on top of everything! Nick was also great, he kept me moving on my wedding day and never skipped a beat. Even after the wedding they boxed everything up so there was no clean up and we could just enjoy the rest of the night. They made our wedding seamless and anyone would be crazy not to use them!!!

Clay and Matt were amazing! They made planning a wedding as stress-free as possible and everything perfectly to our taste. I would recommend the Makoy Center to everyone in search of a venue 100 times over. Also, Nick, our wedding day coordinator was the BEST and so detailed. He executed everything so flawlessly that every guest at our wedding said it was the best wedding they'd ever been to and that's all we could have hoped for. Thank you, Makoy Center!

We can not recommend this venue highly enough! We worked with both Matt and Clay, and they were both great. They took care of so many of the little details that we didn’t think about for the big day. The space looked beautiful for both our ceremony and reception (both in the Burgundy Room), and they made sure everything went smoothly the whole night. The food was also great! Such a great value, our guests all had an amazing time.

My husband and I had the BEST experience using the Makoy Center for our reception venue on our wedding day! We chose the Emerald Room and I cannot express enough how beautifully set up and decorated everything was by the time our guests and wedding party arrived. Matt and all of the other professionals were so easy to work with and they did everything exactly how we wanted it to be done. Most importantly, we received SO many compliments from our guests on how amazing the food was, how beautiful everything was set up, and how much fun they had! We could not have asked for anything more and the entire night went smoothly. The Makoy Center employees do ALL of the set up AND tear down for the reception and that was unbelievably helpful to me because the last thing I wanted to have to worry about was recruiting people to help and/or having to do it myself! We would highly recommend using them for your wedding and/or reception! It was a night we'll never forget.

We had a wonderful experience with the MaKoy Center! They take care of so much so that you don’t have to worry! Catering, bartending, and parts of the set up were included, which saved us time and money having to find and coordinate those services ourselves. The food and drink menu is EXTENSIVE and you really can’t go wrong with whatever you choose. We received so many compliments on the food and bartender! It’s great to know that the guests felt taken care of and that they had an excellent experience as well. We worked with Matt on all of the pre-wedding details (food and drink menus, timeline, color scheme, etc.) and working with him was so easy! He’s very personable and made the whole experience fun while getting the work done! He definitely made us feel like we were working with a friend. Nick was our day of coordinator and he was just as wonderful! He worked with my difficult table chart and nipickiness about the setup of the centerpieces and cake tables with such professionalism. I’m very detail oriented and he worked with me without making me feel a bridezilla! There were so many details I didn’t have to concern myself with which took away so much stress. It was great to be able to enjoy planning my wedding and I was able to do that because of the staff at The Makoy Center. It was worth every penny.

The Makoy Center went above and beyond for my daughters wedding. Everyone was super helpful and absolutely amazing every step of the way. Not to mention they helped with making sure the Burgundy room was available since that's where my husband and I got married 11 years ago. I would recommend this venue for ANY occasion. My husband and I worked closely with Clay and Matt throughout our entire wedding process. From beginning to end they were both extremely helpful. I was pretty clueless about wedding planning, I’ve never even been in a wedding and Clay offered many suggestions and I felt like he was very honest. I would call in or email both Clay and Matt at least once a month and then in the last two months before my wedding probably weekly, and both guys would reply within 30 minutes. Nick was our day of coordinator which we met at our rehearsal, he was absolutely amazing! Couldn’t ask for a more detailed, more attentive, helpful, knowledgeable coordinator. If you are even considering the Makoy Center, stop looking! We had our ceremony outside and the reception inside. Both areas couldn’t have been more beautiful. Food was amazing and all of our guests agreed! All of our decorations were packed up and ready for us to pick up on Monday and Matt even helped us pack it in our car! You can honestly tell these guys love their jobs and we are so thankful. You guys rock, best wedding ever!

The Makoy Center in Hilliard, OH is second to none in hospitality, courteousness and pricing! My wife and I could not be happier to have been guided throughout the process of planning our wedding and receiving such professional customer service from Clay Daniels, Matt Eder and our day-of coordinator Ben. Additionally, Brent and the rest of the staff that assisted us in the arrangements, decor and photography were top notch! We heard from several of our guests how much they felt the venue and the food & refreshments were all amazing.I think what my wife and I appreciated the most was how much the team at Makoy catered to our two boys aged 3 years and 10 months! At those ages, kids can certainly be a handful and Ben specifically took it upon himself to usher our oldest in and help make him feel welcome and comfortable in his role as our little ring-bearer! Truly a fantastic experience.Clay and Matt checked in regularly and made themselves available in the midst of our unending questions and requests and the clean-up after all the festivities had ended was faster than a NASCAR pit crew!I wish I could say that we'd be using their services again as soon as we can but what I can say is that we will certainly be recommending Makoy's services to all new couples we know who are looking to get married. Nobody in the Central Ohio area can make a couple feel more special and more like a pair of VIP's than the Makoy Center in Hilliard!

We had our rehearsal dinner, wedding, and reception at Makoy Center. It was amazing! Clay and Matt were super helpful and made the planning so easy. We were married and had our reception in the emerald room which is stunning. It was the best day of our lives and the team there was phenomenal. The food is also delicious!! We had the BBQ buffet for our rehearsal dinner and roast and chicken for our wedding. Everything was on point. We also enjoyed slider burgers and fries before the reception ended! Great way to end the night!! I would highly recommend the Makoy Center!

The Makoy Center was absolutely fabulous! They were helpful and responded quickly to questions through the wedding planning process. On the day of the wedding they were very attentive and helped coordinate everything so I didn’t have to worry about anything and could just relax and enjoy my wedding. I highly recommend them. We personally couldn’t be any more happier with the way things went at Makoy Center for our special day! From day one meeting with Clay and Matt and going over our contract and picking out everything that we wanted and actually visualize how things were going to look. Day of our wedding our wedding coordinator Nick he was amazing too, the whole entire staff and bar tenders all worked extreme hard to make our day special and that it was! I would recommend Makoy Center to any newly engaged couples to definitely look at the options that they have to offer. It was stress free with them setting everything up and it was magical. Our guest even made comments on how everything was and that the food was amazing. Thank you Makoy Center!
