My husband and I got married here June 4th of this year and everything was lovely! We originally planned on having our ceremony and reception both indoors and outdoors but due to weather, we had to change it to indoors. The entire staff was able to make it such a beautiful day for us despite the weather. Tara, our coordinator, was beyond excellent. She made us feel very comfortable, was super communicative, and kind. She is the gold standard! My husband and I had a wonderful time and our guests did, too. Vinwood Caterers and all of Turner Hill’s staff were awesome! I can’t recommend them enough!

My husband and I got married on September 22, 2023 and I have to start by saying - The Mansion on Turner Hill embodied everything I dreamt my wedding venue would be. From the initial stages of planning down to the last second of our day, the Turner Hill staff blew us away. The Planning: The wedding coordinator, Tara, and her team are OUTSTANDING. They were not only quick to respond to whatever question(s) we had, but they were also extremely thorough and helpful. Tara was our sounding board throughout the entire planning process and gave us numerous ideas of décor, activities, flow, and so much more. She single-handedly helped us create our day and brought it to life seamlessly. By trusting her guidance we had a wedding day that our guests still call us out of the blue to rave about.The Wedding Day: The events of our day could not have gone any smoother. I personally love how Turner Hill utilizes all of their spaces so your guests are always entertained by new scenery. Our guests loved how they were able to flow from space to space, step outside for a drink on the terrace when they wanted some air, or take a seat in the cozy library to catch up with old friends. Everything was on time and flowed beautifully. Tara and the Vinwood Team were PROMPT. Everything was on-time, not one second lagged. The flawlessness of our day is a testament of their organizational skills and expertise at what they do. No matter where I was, Tara was in view. She was always ready to jump to action if needed, and always ready to hand you a drink if not :)The Food: The food was DEVINE. Vinwood Caterers is so unbelievably fantastic at what they do and deliver quality food. Our guests are still trying to re-create the salad they had on our wedding day! The servers were kind, courteous and swift. I didn't see one plate with a drop of food left as the tables were cleared. In summary - if you want to get married at a stunning venue where your guests will be constantly entertained and you are continuously supported by the staff - GET MARRIED HERE.

We had the most amazing experience with The Mansion on Turner Hill. Jo and Tara were phenomenal - organized, helpful, friendly, and caring - they worked so hard to make sure that our wedding was exactly what we wanted.We got married in December and the mansion looked absolutely gorgeous - each of the different rooms, beautiful in their own right, were covered in holiday decorations. We had our ceremony in the intimate Alabaster room which was the perfect size for our 70-person wedding. We had our cocktail reception in the library and it was incredibly cozy and filled with joy. Our reception was in the ballroom and it was the perfect place for dinner and dancing.This venue had everything we were looking for: gorgeous bridal chamber and smoking room for getting ready, wonderful staff, beautiful grounds, and lots of nooks and crannies for photos. We are so happy that we found the Mansion on Turner Hill - they made our wedding more perfect than we could have ever hoped for! Thanks, Jo and Tara - you have a special place in our hearts!

I had my baby shower at Turner Hill a few months ago. Sonya was the point of contact for my event and she was super responsive and accommodating. She always contacted me when she said she would and was so willing to help in any way that she could. The day of the event was absolute perfection. I walked into the venue and started crying because I was so blown away by everything. Sonya is so sweet when she saw me crying she was so touched she even started crying! She facilitated the entire event making sure that we stuck to the timeline and everything flowed as previously agreed upon. I got so many compliments on the venue as well as how amazing the food was. I can’t recommend Turner Hill and their event staff enough!

We had our wedding at Turner hill on 10/06/2023. I have been to 16 weddings in the past 3 years. Turner hill is the best venue. I’ll start first with our wedding coordinator Tara. She is the absolute best! She is so lovely, professional, reliable, and timely. She accommodated all our requests. She set up all our decor absolutely perfectly. The day went off without a hitch. The outdoor ceremony space is to die for! The grounds are always immaculate and the mansion itself is so gorgeous. We had our ceremony outside, dinner in the tent and dancing in the mansion. In my opinion, this is the way to do it! Every staff member at Turner hill was great! They also have two bars so there aren’t long lines to get a drink, I mean come on. Turner hill has such a “wow” factor when your guests come in, which is exactly what I was looking for! The food was so awesome and so many of our guests commented on how it was the best wedding food they have ever had. I couldn’t believe how perfectly our day went. You will never regret booking this venue!

We had a great experience with Turner Hill for our September wedding! The venue is absolutely beautiful and gives so many options for the layout of your day. So many good spots for pictures as well! We were lucky enough to have good weather but I honestly wasn't worried about it leading up to the day because the rain plan is also gorgeous! Tara and Sonya were great with communication leading up to the wedding and always answered my emails right away! They also kept good communication with my day of coordinator and helped run through our timeline as a team. We had the most amazing night and would highly recommend Turner Hill!

Everything about The Mansion on Turner Hill was perfect!! My now husband and I got married on 9/3/2023 and we are still in post wedding blues because of how perfect the day was!First off, the backdrop of the venue makes for gorgeous pictures!! But more importantly, the staff and management at Turner Hill went 1000x above and beyond the expectation when helping to keep an anxious bride calm! No matter what time I would email Tara Ranahan, Cindy Zalewski or Sonya Belgacem, they would always email me back within minutes. There was a few times I had some thoughts in my head around midnight, and I was shocked to get a response from Tara almost immediately. They are true professionals who know how anxious some brides get (me!) and their prompt response truly helped keep me level headed throughout the wedding planning process!! They never complained with the 197490347 changes I had to the set up, seating chart, room layout etc. I always got an \"of course, happy to help.\" with a smile and updated BEO/floor plans!Once the day of the wedding came, my now husband and I had nothing to worry about. We are both in the hotel industry so we showed up (separately) to the venue ready to help with setup and Tara told us to both go relax and enjoy the day with our family and friends. As I was walking down the aisle to my fiancé at the time, I couldn't help but take in all the planning and visions that came to life that Tara and the team put together as if they were in my head and knew exactly where I wanted everything to go. The reception space was something out of a fairytale. Both Turner Hill and their caterer, Vinwood Catering, set everything up with such meticulous attention to detail. It was gorgeous. And the food!!! I have had several guests from the wedding text me saying that the food was the best they have ever had, including their own weddings. 8 out of the 9 tables completed the Clean Plate Club challenge and kept coming up to us that night saying they wished they could have a second plate because it was so delish! You never hear that about wedding food!!! Everything was fresh and when served, was still hot for our guests to enjoy!My husband and I are so thankful we decided onThe Mansion on Turner Hill for our wedding and would pick that venue 10x over if we could. You will not be disappointed with the team, the location, the backdrop, the food, the attention to detail etc. etc....our day went off without one single issue and that's all because of the team at Turner Hill!!!

My husband and I had an amazing wedding at Turner hill. The food and staff we amazing. And the venue itself was absolutely beautiful. Especially our day of coordinators that were so great in helping and answer all of our questions. They truly made a wedding a dream and to go off without a hitch. Not only did we have such awesome support, the bar tenders were excellent, and the food was great! Our guests have been doing nothing but compliment the food, drinks, and venue. We couldn’t thank them enough for all they did so we could have our dream wedding.

My husband and I had an amazing wedding at Turner hill. The food and staff we amazing. And the venue itself was absolutely beautiful. I can't say enough good things about working with Sonya and Tara. They helped us pivot to an indoor ceremony when we found out we were expecting hurricane weather on our wedding day. Sonya did an amazing job with setting up our decorations and making our wedding vision come to life. Sonya was extremely helpful and patient with our questions, and both she and Tara were amazing during the actual wedding and helped keep things running smoothly. I hosted a cocktail party at The Mansion on Turner in August of 2023 and I rate the quality of food and service \"5 stars.\" The staff were extremely accommodating and professional, the venue was beautiful, and the food was plentiful and of very high quality. All who attended were very impressed. I am very grateful to the staff at The Mansion on Turner Hill for all that they did to make the event successful and enjoyable.

We got married here on 6/9/23 and had the best day!! Such a beautiful venue and professional staff! We worked with Tara and had such a great experience! She was very knowledgeable and helpful with our many questions! We chose Turner Hill because we loved all of their options for ceremony spaces, although we would have loved to have been outside, we moved inside due to rain and still had a beautiful ceremony! Vinwood Catering did an amazing job and we are still getting compliments on the food! 100% recommend booking at Turner Hill!!

We got married here on 6/9/23 and had the best day!! Such a beautiful venue and professional staff! We worked with Tara and had such a great experience! She was very knowledgeable and helpful with our many questions! We chose Turner Hill because we loved all of their options for ceremony spaces, although we would have loved to have been outside, we moved inside due to rain and still had a beautiful ceremony! We had the pleasure of working with Tara and Sonya at The Mansion at Turner Hill for our wedding on 4/29/23. Tara was always very responsive and answered all of our questions. She is wonderful and so talented! The catering by Vinwood Caterers was impressive for cocktail hour and the main meal. This venue has a wonderful indoor and outdoor ceremony plan/locations so you are good to go rain or shine! The decor and atmosphere creates an elegant and sophisticated wedding. We were so happy to have our wedding here, and highly recommend any couple to choose this venue. You will not be disappointed!

She is wonderful and so talented! The catering by Vinwood Caterers was impressive for cocktail hour and the main meal. This venue has a wonderful indoor and outdoor ceremony plan/locations so you are good to go rain or shine! The decor and atmosphere creates an elegant and sophisticated wedding. We were so happy to have our wedding here, and highly recommend any couple to choose this venue. You will not be disappointed!

I didn't have to look long when I found Turner Hill. It was perfect for everything we needed it to be. Everyone there was super friendly and helpful. There was some confusion at the beginning about alcohol and timing but it was sorted out in a very professional way. Planning:I was mostly in contact with Tara, and she was always great about getting back to me quickly and answering any questions I had so that everything would go smoothly. I tend to be an organized person so I was always on top/ahead of schedule with planning. Tara's quick responses definitely helped me stay on top of the whole planning process. When it came to scheduling venue visits, it was very easy to come up with times/days that worked for both of us. I had to go up several times (fiancé, his parents, and my parents) and Turner Hill was always welcoming and happy to show us around. All questions were answered at the time of visits as well. Day of:Day off I did not have to worry about anything, which is ideal! Myself and my bridal party had a couple bottles of champagne ready and my husband and his groomsmen had an assortment of beers - both of which I thought were a great touch (I also don't know if that is typical but it was great and made the experience even better.) They were organized with the baker we chose and the florist and the rooms were set up exactly how I had imagined them. I had a fairy light break on me and they had a bunch of backups which was unexpected but I was very happy about! At the end of the night, when it came time for last call and make the announcement about leaving, neither myself or my fiancé (now husband) had to do any rallying. The DJ did help by making announcements. Day after:Anything that was left at the venue was easy to pick up the day after. Tara let me know when she would be in if I needed her. Otherwise I was able to go into the bridal suite and groomsmen suite to doubleck that nothing was left without bothering her. I did have a couple guests tell me they had an item or so missing and when I emailed Tara she checked and got back to me a few days later. I know it was not their responsibility to check for our guests items so I really did appreciate the extra that was done. Overall I would 100% use Turner Hill for weddings and even other event, as I felt like they were so supportive, communicative, friendly, and attentive to what we needed. I highly recommend them for your wedding/event needs!

We hosted an engagement party for 50 guests at the Mansion Club at Turner Hill in late January. We planned the event long distance, and Turner Hill’s Food and Beverage Director and Chef were fantastic in recommending food and room layout options to us, including offering photos and accommodating dietary restrictions. They always made themselves available and we never felt rushed. When we asked them to try something new, they were very open to suggestion. The building itself is an extraordinary setting and a treasure for the community. The views were beautiful and there was easy access to the outdoors for photos. The food was exceptional and displayed beautifully. The servers were friendly, always working, and non-intrusive. At Turner Hill’s recommendation, we hired two brothers (Liam and Lucas) to play guitar music during our event – the song selection was terrific and the volume perfect – everyone could carry on a normal conversation while enjoying the music – so hard to achieve! Truly, the event was flawless and exceeded our expectations. A week has passed, and I am still receiving phone calls, emails, and notes from guests with rave reviews for Turner Hill and for our party. I wish we were receiving the same high level of care and service for our wedding event, which will occur in a different state.

I've taken about 6 months to gather my thoughts on how heartbroken I am that this venue ruined our 1 wedding. Our wedding had 3 event coordinators, yes, 3 different ones. I was never notified of any of them except the first one( Carol) because communication was atrocious. At times, I was left with no communication for weeks. I found out 2 weeks prior to my wedding that the venue no longer had an event coordinator AGAIN, and when me and my husband raised how unacceptable this was we were treated like it was not their problem. This was the worst nightmare for a bride to experience just two weeks prior to their wedding. My food and alcohol order had not been submitted from months ago. Instead, of being excited for my wedding coming up in two weeks, I had to start re-coordinating with everyone from scratch due to their disorganization. I had to scramble to fix everything myself as their staff kept reminding us it wasn't their job, \"they worked in a different department.\"The day of the wedding, it rained, and Kristen kept interrupting me during photos to ask me how they should do their jobs. Decorations were not placed properly, tables she wanted to me to decided on changes during the wedding.... it was the most stressful day of my life. I was so stressed that I was crying walking down the aisle. In the end this lack of professionalism and communication caused for a day of chaos, things not being done as I had planned out for years, and caused other vendors communication issues. Overall, the day that I had waited for, was sub par in comparison to what I envisioned and meticulously planned for. It's not like we didn't pay quite a bit of money, because we did. So to not get what you pay for is very upsetting. We're already planning a new wedding in the future to renew our vows because of how upsetting this day was.

I started by reaching out on Wedding Wire on August 19th and received a message back with the pricing information. When I got engaged I really wanted that \"mansion\" feel. I came across The Mansion on Turner Hill when looking for venues in the Boston area. This is the one and only venue that my fiance and I looked at. They were so accommodating and their prices blew everyone else out of the park! We were a pandemic wedding so we needed to postpone, luckily there was a spot open on May 30, 2021 and we took it.Fast forward to the big day, it poured, and I mean the sky opened for at least 48 hours! I was bumming because the landscape at the mansion is gorgeous and I really wanted the ceremony to be help outside. But, we had to settle with being inside, and my god I am so happy we did! When you book your wedding at the mansion you get to use 7 of their absolutely stunning rooms. Everything was warm and cozy and just made for the most amazing experience.We worked with Carol and she made us feel at ease and comfortable throughout the whole day. Weeks later and all of our friends and family are still talking about how beautiful our venue was. I can't recommend this place enough!

We got married at Turner Hill on 9/20/19 and the day could not have been more perfect. We chose the Turner Hill because we loved the fact that the ceremony, dinner, and reception could each be held in different locations on the grounds, which kept it interesting for our guests, and even if the weather was bad, we wouldn't have been stuck in a tent all night. The grounds are absolutely GORGEOUS (the pictures online don't do it justice, so go visit ASAP!). We also loved that the mansion itself has such beautiful woodwork, art, marble, fire places, etc., that we didn't really have to do much decorating other than flowers. Carol, the event director at Turner Hill, has been in the business for a long time and had such a calming effect on both my husband's and my planning anxieties each time we met with her. She also gave such great advice about other vendors to hire -- there are several that work with Turner Hill frequently and therefore know exactly how everything is supposed to work. It made the rest of our planning process so much more seamless. Carol was also perfect in her \"day-of\" role, taking charge to get everyone lined up when the time came and making sure that traffic flowed smoothly throughout the night. Vinwood Catering is the exclusive caterer for Turner Hill, and they were SO FANTASTIC! (I've written a separate review for Vinwood, but here I'll just say that Kristin, the catering manager, was so attentive. She had appetizers ready for us in the bridal suite so we wouldn't go hungry if we didn't have time to eat our whole dinner, and offered great advice about how and when to greet guests to maximize our time). Our wedding day exceeded our expectations in every way, and we have Turner Hill to thank!

Turner Hill is one of the most beautiful venues in New England. It has so much charm and personality and is the perfect fit if you want something elegant and memorable for your wedding. Every time I was there I had a smile on my face from how gorgeous the house and gardens were and it looks incredible no matter the season. The Mansion itself is absolutely a 5 star venue. However, I have to take 2 stars off because of the coordinator, Carol Travers. She is without a doubt the worst wedding vendor I had to deal with during my planning process and is in my opinion, completely inept at her job. She was rude and condescending from the first meeting we had with her and could never remember a single detail of our event so every time I reached out I had to remind her of our date, what spaces we wanted to use, our approximate guest count, etc. so she knew who I was. Not sure why she couldn't keep notes on each couple and refer to those but hey, I guess that's too much to ask. Emailing her was a nightmare as she could never respond to everything I asked or requested in one email, so it always became a long back and forth until I finally got what I needed. It was like pulling teeth for every question and request. She met my fiance several times during the planning process, and yet still couldn't remember who he was at our details meeting AND the day before the wedding and was very rude to him when he dropped off our decorations until she found out he was the groom. She did seemingly everything in her power to be difficult during planning and I got so frustrated early on with her that I hired an amazing planner to help me navigate around her. I can honestly say I would never have been able to get married at Turner Hill if it wasn't for my planner. Carol has a horrible professional reputation and everyone seems to know that she is completely dreadful at her job but no one has any idea how she still works there. All of my vendors and wedding party worked around her as much as possible leading up to, and on the day of, our wedding. I am baffled by the people who praise her in their reviews and can only conclude that she treats couples differently depending on how worthy (wealthy) she deems them or that other couples have a different standard for how a venue coordinator should act. Towards the end I had wondered if maybe I blew her out of proportion but when my wedding party met her at our rehearsal, they agreed that everything I had told them about her was true. She was just as rude and condescending to them as she had been to me. The Mansion on Turner Hill is an amazing venue and I give it a full 5 stars. It really is a complete gem and the most beautiful place. I will also be writing a separate review of Vinwood Caterers as they were so incredible and attentive. Turner Hill is one of the most beautiful venues in New England. It has so much charm and personality and is the perfect fit if you want something elegant and memorable for your wedding. Every time I was there I had a smile on my face from how gorgeous the house and gardens were and it looks incredible no matter the season. The Mansion itself is absolutely a 5 star venue. However, I have to take 2 stars off because of the coordinator, Carol Travers. As part of your rental, you are able to access the entire first floor including a library, bridal suite, dining room, and more. If renting in the spring or summer you are also able to use an outdoor tented area. Carol was incredibly helpful and detailed throughout the entire process and met with us twice before we made our decision since my now husband was out of the country during my first visit. Guests are still talking about the wedding, the flow, of the evening, and the incredible venue. They even light a fire in the library where the bar is! If we could do it all again at the Mansion and with Carol, we would! Thank you, Carol, for making our special day so perfect.

I had a really hard time writing this review because while there were a lot of great things about Turner Hill, there were a few things that altogether became a bit frustrating (and that I wish I had known ahead of time so hopefully it helps someone else). I would echo a lot of the positives from the other reviews: my husband and I loved the venue from the first time we saw it (I mean, its gorgeous), our guests loved everything, and Vinwood Caterers are great. One of my gluten free friends was so touched that not only was it easy to customize her entree, Vinwood gave her special gluten free bread in its own bag. Now for the frustrating things: I was hoping for 1) more effective communication from the venue coordinator (Carol) and 2) greater day-of attention to detail. Regarding communication, when I had a couple questions early on in the planning process it was difficult to get a response to my emails. On one occasion I never received a response and I had to call the venue to get an answer. I understand delays to a certain extent and I'm sure people are more worried about responding to brides with closer events. Email responses did come faster the closer it got to our wedding, but I found myself repeating the same information multiple times. For example, I had to tell Carol at least twice that we wanted to have dinner in the tent, not inside the mansion, and at least four times (twice over email so it was in writing) that we were planning on doing a rehearsal at Turner Hill. She repeatedly told me she would not be able to help with the rehearsal because she was getting ready for another wedding, which again, I understand, but she kept saying to make sure our officiant would be there and I had to keep reminding her he would. Again, not anything that is a big deal on its own, but it did not inspire a lot of confidence in Carol's organization. I also felt like I had to initiate a lot of communication, like making sure our details meeting was scheduled. In terms of issues on the day of, again, there were just a few things that made the day more stressful than it needed to be. Some of the escort cards stuck together and weren't properly arranged. No one noticed that the number of cards didn't match the number of guests (and it was off by about 10, not just 1 or 2) until my mom counted and had someone fix it. The groomsmen were confused about where the boutonnieres were and how to put them on (our amazing photographer got them for the guys and showed them how to pin them). Carol also had the processional line up in the room where the bride gets ready, with all of the groomsmen, groom, and parents. We did a first look so again, not a huge deal, but I didn't really want everyone seeing me in my dress before the ceremony. Finally, Carol left at the end of dinner. I wasn't aware ahead of time she would be leaving then, and I never met the person Carol said was taking over after she left. This led to some confusion when my husband and I did our cake cutting - we didn't know where we were supposed to be (again our vendors, in this case our DJ and photographer, stepped up to tell us how things would work) and there was no one immediately available to take the cake away after it was cut. Ultimately, everything went fine and my husband and I had a great time, but all of the issues with communication and organization leading up to our wedding and on the day of were enough to knock Turner Hill down from 5 stars to 4 stars for us.

It really felt like the grounds and property were ours and our guests were WOWED by the beauty of each location! It didn't take much to make the venue shine which was also nice on the wallet, some fun signs and greenery placed in key locations was just the touch! Our photos are amazing with so many fun & gorgeous places to use as backdrops there is NO need to drive or go anywhere else! Carol was helpful and very knowledgeable and I felt free to enjoy my day without worry knowing she & Kristin (from Vinwood) had everything under control. The entire evening ran smoothly, on time, and my husband and I were able to celebrate, dance, and enjoy our guests! From our first moment pulling up for our site visit over a year ago to our wedding night everything about Turner Hill was perfect, and for an amazing price! We can't recommend this venue enough!

The best venue ever. We first fell in love with the beauty of the space but soon fell even more in love with the staff! From day one Carol made the entire experience so easy. She responds so quickly to emails and is so helpful. I never felt worried or anxious because I knew we were in good hands with Carol! On our wedding day carol made everything so seamless I didn’t have a single worry. The day was literally perfect and I can’t thank her enough!! Vinwood, the caterer, is also absolutely amazing! Their tasting is incredible and the staff was so helpful! Kristin was with us for the entire reception and made sure we had everything we needed and even packed up leftovers for us! I wish we could get married at turner hill every weekend, it truly was a dream come true!

If you want a spectacular, romantic wedding, PLEASE book Turner Hill and Vinwood Caterers. We visited Turner Hill just a couple weeks after getting engaged and it was truly the BEST decision we made. The venue is beautiful! Carol Travers is truly a wonderful and experienced coordinator and Kristin Smith is great dining manager. Vinwood Caterers has a gift for just great quality and delicious food. The venue was so different than what we have experienced at other weddings. We and our guests and family had the ability to walk throughout the mansion to take in the true beauty of Turner Hill every moment of the wedding night. The tent was a wonderful space with a great view of the gardens and lake. Our guests remained excited and entertained from cocktail hour through the last song of the night. The Turner Hill and Vinwood Staff were professional, timely, very kind to our guests, helpful, and worked diligently all night to make sure we (bride and groom) and our parents were taken care of. We were able to enjoy the entire night because the staff was so attentive and managed absolutely everything for us. We have received multiple phone calls weeks later about how beautiful and smooth our wedding was and how amazing the staff was. We are so humbled to have been able to host our wedding event with Turner Hill and Vinwood. We are beyond grateful to Carol for her professionalism, kindness, timeliness, and expertise from beginning to end. We are also grateful to Kristin Smith for going above and beyond to take of care of us throughout the night with her kindness, promptness, and caring manner. Turner Hill is the most gorgeous venue, and the staff are absolutely fantastic. I first fell in love with the place when we visited last December, which almost convinced me to plan a winter wedding instead of an autumn one — the decorations were stunning. Ultimately we stuck with fall, and it was beautiful. We had the ceremony onsite, and thankfully it was a beautiful autumn day and we were able to have it outside. However, the inside space is gorgeous as well, and I wouldn't have been that upset had the weather not cooperated!Carol took over for our original wedding coordinator who changed jobs, but the transition was smooth and after reading all the reviews about Carol I felt very much at ease about the switch. She was responsive, informative, and clearly very experienced and knowledgable.My wedding ended up being pretty small with some last-minute cancellations (total around 70 people – the minimum for Friday is 75). They use Vinwood Catering (fantastic) which provides all the dining staff, bartenders, tables and chairs, linens, glassware etc etc... all details I did not want to deal with getting separately. It's really an all-inclusive venue.I honesty can't think of anything I would change. The day went perfectly thanks to the staff at Turner Hill and Vinwood Caterers (which is a whole other 5 star review)!

Turner Hill is the most gorgeous venue, and the staff are absolutely fantastic. I first fell in love with the place when we visited last December, which almost convinced me to plan a winter wedding instead of an autumn one — the decorations were stunning. Ultimately we stuck with fall, and it was beautiful. We had the ceremony onsite, and thankfully it was a beautiful autumn day and we were able to have it outside. However, the inside space is gorgeous as well, and I wouldn't have been that upset had the weather not cooperated!Carol took over for our original wedding coordinator who changed jobs, but the transition was smooth and after reading all the reviews about Carol I felt very much at ease about the switch. She was responsive, informative, and clearly very experienced and knowledgable.My wedding ended up being pretty small with some last-minute cancellations (total around 70 people – the minimum for Friday is 75). However, Carol worked with us and was able to accomodate changes to seating and the dining plan.Not only is the space stunning, but you actually get quite a good value for the cost at Turner Hill, with access to the dining hall, bridal chamber, groom's room, library, and outside patio. I am so thankful we chose to have our wedding at Turner Hill. It was the most spectacular venue. We had about 110 guests and were able to use the main dining room for both dinner and dancing, which was perfect. We were able to have the ceremony outdoors, but I have to say that one of the biggest reasons I fell in love with Turner Hill right away was that they have a beautiful indoor/rain alternative that didn't feel like a compromise at all. We loved that we had use of the whole mansion and our guests could sit in quieter spaces and marvel at the details of the house if they weren't too busy on the dance floor. Carol did a spectacular job bringing everything together and making sure we didn't have anything to worry about throughout the entire process. She was very responsive and flexible, and such a reassuring presence. We also loved having Vinwood cater the wedding, and got lots of compliments on the food. I was so glad that they have a longstanding partnership with Turner Hill, and it was evident in how smoothly things ran leading up to and on the day of the wedding. The only small downside was that I had to go through Carol to get in touch with Vinwood, which occasionally led to miscommunications about the menu. Nothing that didn't get sorted out right away, but it was a minor frustration to not be able to get in touch with my caterer directly. I 100% recommend hosting your wedding at Turner Hill!

Turner hill made sure that everyone in the other room was very much involved in all the things that were going on in the big room. Carol was very warm and accommodating to all of our needs throughout our entire wedding process. Our guests loved how there were two areas of our wedding and we were not in one place all night—not to mention, your guests have access to the whole first floor of the mansion!\rCarol, the wedding coordinator at the mansion was truly amazing to work with. She was so professional and came up with some great suggestions for us as we continued down the wedding planning process path. She was open to our “new” ideas and easily accommodated for what we wanted. I can’t thank Carol enough for all of her work on our wedding.\rVinwood catering was also OUTSTANDING. Years before I was even engaged I just knew that the Mansion on Turner Hill was the place I was going to have my reception. Thankfully, when i did get engaged my fiancé had the same idea! We looked at the Mansion in January 2013 & booked for September 2014. To other brides, book early, when we did there was already at least 1 Saturday in September 2014 taken. We began working with Carol immediately, she was always responsive & honest. We also worked with Rick from Vinwood, he is amazing as well. \rI'm very particular but Carol was able to roll with it which is great. We had to utilize the tent for dinner as we had 150 guests. The tent was completely transformed into something out of Hollywood. I knew that I didn’t want our wedding to look like other weddings so we decided to go with a new configuration in the tent. Two long banquet tables (seating 24 or 25 guests) in the middle of the tent surrounded by 60” round tables. It wasn’t an easy feat but our florist Donna (Pepperberry’s Byfield), Rick, Carol & our wedding planner Jenn (Designs out of the Blue) made everything a fairy-tale & perfect! I was blown away when I saw the tent the day of the wedding! Our linens were incredible and so were the flowers thanks to Donna. Everything was breathtaking.\rOur guests were greeted with a glass of prosecco as they walked through the Mansion which intensified the experience of all the gorgeous details of the Mansion has to offer. We did choose an open bar. We decided to pass on stationary appetizers to save a bit of money & went with 7 really amazing passed hot options. Rick really worked with us on the pricing & the selection, even giving us a main course that they hadn't fully rolled out & added to the menu yet. The food did not disappoint! Appetizers were: mini beef Wellingtons (amazing! I had 5 at my wedding), mini grilled cheese and tomato soup shooters (also amazing), and Asian chicken salad in a wonton cone, arancini, crab cakes, bacon wrapped scallops and chicken skewers. All the food was delicious, hot & fresh. The bridal party had our own server & Kristen was fabulous. In addition to making sure we had fresh appetizers, she also made sure we had drinks including prosecco to gin & tonic if that is what somebody wanted. She was phenomenal.\rWe went with a traditional Caesar salad to ensure we didn’t overwhelm people’s palates. For our main course we didn't give guests a menu option but were able to go with a twist on surf & turf that I believe Rick created. Applewood smoked bacon wrapped filet mignons with individual lobster au gratin served with house veggies and horseradish mashed potatoes. Our guests also had red and white wine served with dinner. One month after our wedding, people are still ranting raving about the Mansion, the service, décor, flowers & especially the food!\rI was so impressed at how seamlessly the staff at the Mansion served all the food in the tent and then got all the guests into the Mansion for the parent dances. Working with NU Image for our DJ and uplighting and Bharat Parmar for photography made everything easier for us because these vendors work together and at the Mansion often so they know all the nuances of working in an old space. We loved everything about our wedding day! Preparations were intense since we went with something different in the tent but having Carol working all our vendors allowed me to relax day of and just enjoy it all. I couldn't recommend the Mansion & Vinwood more, they're the best!

Our daughter was married on Saturday, 28 June 2014. She and her husband enjoyed a magnificent wedding reception at the MANSION AT TURNER HILL in Ipswich, Ma. The venue is absolutely gorgeous - the Mansion is stately and historical. Our wedding coordinator, Carol Travers, was incredible! She helped us with every detail to make this a very memorable and sophisticated wedding. Carol is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and absolutely invaluable in making a wedding the most perfect wedding ever! My wife and I decided to use Turner Hill as our venue. Carol was one of the more experienced planners that we had met and her service staff was highly recommended as well. We had such a great day! My groomsmen were treated like royalty in the cigar room while preparing for the ceremony and everything just felt very easy. Carol and the folks from Vinwood had many good suggestions including using a sausage cart at the end of the night! It was a big hit! A wonderful time had by all!

We had our ceremony in the garden and the reception in the tent, with a DJ and dessert inside. The was a great background for so many cool photos and Carol was very accommodating to all our guests.

The venue is gorgeous. We fell in love with it two years before getting engaged so our dream was crushed when Carol, the coordinator, turned out to be so rigid that - after interviewing several couples recently married at Turner Hill - we decided to have our wedding elsewhere. She refused any additional hour, made difficulties to have cupcakes rather than a traditional cake despite the chef's approval, tried to impose a specific location for the ceremony despite previous weddings having taken place where we wanted to have ours, and simply stopped responding to our messages after we met in person and she decided that our 8-hour wedding was not close enough to \"how she does weddings\" to even send us an estimate. We tried to communicate on several occasions since without success. We were highly disappointed and would only recommend this venue if you want a \"cookie-cutter been there, done that\" wedding. Anything out of THE wedding she knows how to plan will lead to her refusal. Since several previous couples had a similar experience with her, we decided that the year leading up to our special day should not be a constant battler for every detail. In the end, we suppose that it's their loss since we were willing to spend significantly more than the basic package (to add hours up to the time limit mentioned on their website and rent the venue again the next day for a brunch) but Carol just wouldn't budge.

I can't say enough good things about Turner Hill. The venue is absolutely beautiful. Carol and staff were wonderful and very accommodating. They made our day beautiful. Tragically my father died at our wedding and Turner Hill and staff were amazing during and after the whole thing. I highly recommend having a function/wedding at this venue.

I had the best time at my wedding but the coordinator Carol was horrible. She was rude to everyone and didn't take responsibility for her actions. They didn't offer food before the wedding and knew we had young children. I was told if any food was left over we would be able to take it home and we weren't given the food. Our cake was wrapped horribly. They didn't let anyone know dessert was being served. Carol didn't even say congratulations. I didn't even see her the until the end of the night when she told us we had to leave again very rudely. Although I had a great time I do wish we had someone that would of treated us like we should have been treated especially on a special day.

Turner Hill made all my dreams come true. We had outdoor areas in gardens, a large fancy tent and inside the old dark wood mansion. The provided planner was also wonderful. I wouldn't change a thing about my day and would do it all over again here. Also living across the country and they were very accomodating. \rPrice included all rental items and delicious catered food for 150

Turner Hill Mansion is gorgeous. There is a wedding ceremony site with installed benches and a wysteria cupola gardens a patio for cocktail hour and the mansion is beautiful inside. You have multiple rooms to use within the mansion. The food vendor they use serves outstanding food.;They switched wedding coordinators 3 times within the time that I contracted them and sometimes responses to my questions were slow. I could not find the wedding coordinator after the dancing started and it was EXTREMLEY hot in the dancing area but no one did anything. I made a personal choice of using all the rooms but I wouldn't recommend it because our guests scattered throughout the mansion instead of dancing.
