Sitting on 52 wooded acres just minutes from downtown, The historic Mayernik Center is the premier venue for rustic indoor and outdoor events. This great lodge embodies rustic elegance with an enormous stone fireplace, 18-foot cathedral ceilings, spacious oak bar, large dance floor, and full wrap-around covered deck. Specializing in events up to 200 guests, The Mayernik Center also boasts several other wooded venues perfect for your event. The open aired rustic Pavilion offers a beautiful backdrop for an outside ceremony or cocktail hour, or you can create a more casual feeling utilizing the surrounding outdoors for lawn games and barbecue. Our lawn offers a ceremony location with extensive natural landscape complete with white garden chairs.

My wedding was at The Mayernik and it was a close to perfect as it could possibly be. Our Wedding Coordinator - Debbie - was so patient, helpful and really made sure our day went off without a hitch. I sent her so many emails leading up to the big day and she was always so responsive and accommodating. She's just the absolute best. The venue itself is beautiful, they have wonderful preferred vendors for catering and a list of vendors they often work with in the event you need suggestions. Our wedding and reception were inside with roughly 107 guests. There is plenty of space with a separate bar area and a great space for the ladies of the bridal party to get ready. Cost is incredibly reasonable with lots of optional add-ons (twinkle lights are a must) and flexibility. My guests (and husband and I), loved this space. I'm sad our day is over but so thankful for the beautiful memories from that venue!

She was communicative, promptly responding to our various questions throughout the planning process. We and our guests loved the venue. This venue is a hidden jewel and a must see. We were married on June 10, 2022. We did everything in one place. Debbie originally gave us the tour and all the pertinent information. Sara B, their wedding coordinator, then took over. Super helpful and very responsive. I think I may have had three additional walk throughs before the wedding. Each and every time I was met with a very friendly face and positive feedback. They are willing to work with you to make your event just how you want it. Thanks for everything Sara and Debbie.

The Mayernik Center was a beautiful venue! All of our guests loved the space and told us how nice everything looked. We had a great experience with the staff from our initial touring of the venue to our actual wedding reception. We worked with Sara who was our wedding coordinator. She was very personable and was a great help with planning and coordinating everything. She made herself available by email and phone whenever we needed. Everything was beautiful and ran smoothly on our wedding day and we did not have to stress about anything. She did a great job with coordinating with the DJ, caterer, photographer and videographer. Also, the bartenders were great as well! Overall, I would recommend the Mayernik Center as a venue choice for any couple.

This was such a beautiful venue for my husband and I's wedding reception. Throughout the planning process, Sara was super helpful and responsive to our questions. We loved the almost log cabin feel of the venue on the inside and the fireplace gave it such a cozy feel. The bar area was nice to have separated from the main room and dance floor so that people who wanted to just hang out and talk could do so but still be close by. The lantern centerpieces provided by the venue made our table decorating a lot easier than it would've been otherwise. The bridge leading from the venue to the parking lot made for a fantastic sparkler exit. There's also plenty of parking which isn't a guarantee with other Pittsburgh venues. Basically, we had a great time at our reception and would recommend the Mayernik center to anyone getting married in a heartbeat!

We knew the second we arrived at the Mayernik Center that this was the perfect venue for us! It has such warmth- exactly what we were looking for! Debbie and Sara were wonderful to work with- Debbie went above and beyond as our day-of coordinator. She answered all of our many questions as it neared our special day so promptly and helpfully. On the day of our wedding, she expertly managed communications with our vendors. My fiance' and I were able to focus on the joy of our day with not a worry in the world about the logistics of our reception. We also loved that we had a choice between three caterers and were able to stock the stunning bar as we'd like. We can't more highly recommend booking the Mayernik Center for your reception!

The Best Wedding Ever!!! We had my daughterâs wedding at the Mayernik and everything was wonderful. Debbie was our wedding planner from the Mayernik and she was great!! She responded to our emails quickly and was very responsive to any suggestions or requests. Debbie had great ideas for the day of the wedding that made the day running smoothly and stress free.â€ïž The venue has a warm ambience that gives a fun relaxed atmosphere. The grounds are beautiful for photos. Everyone at the Mayernik was very accommodating and we had the best, beautiful, most fun wedding ever!! đ

We absolutely loved this venue for our wedding. We chose the Mayernik Center because of the flexibility - multiple areas to have the ceremony, possibility of having the reception totally outside if needed. The surrounding park has lots of nice areas for photos but the inside of the venue is beautiful as well with the fireplace and large windows in the front. The string lights over the dance floor are a great touch. On top of this, it is very reasonably priced. Our coordinator Sara was excellent, quickly responded via email to my many questions and helped make the day run smoothly.

Very Disorganized - Especially for a wedding venue. I emailed that I was interested in touring this venue, Lynne Vilella reached out and immediately set me up for a tour, with Kelly. My mother and I showed up 15 min early for our 12 oâclock appointment. Kelly came to the door and said that she was finishing up with her 11:30 appointment, so we waited. 12:10 rolled around and we were still waiting on the porch. Meanwhile, the appointments that Lynne schedules are only 30 min long. Terrible coordination.

If you are looking for a rustic, cabin in the woods type of feel- this is your place! Located on Avonworth Park, a short drive from Pittsburgh. We were lucky enough to be able to have a beautiful outdoor ceremony (pavilion would have been the rain plan). We worked with Sara B and she was a huge help with planning and was always quick to respond to our emails. She was there for the rehearsal and for the ceremony/ reception to keep things running smoothly. We were able to set everything up the day before the wedding, which was amazing (only worked because we had a Friday wedding) The only downside to this venue is that there is a list of three caterers you must pick and you need to buy your own alcohol (they have bartenders). Neither of these things were an issue for us though! Another huge positive was that they had wooden slabs for centerpieces, table numbers, some signs, and an arch for the ceremony that we could rent for an extra change. Everything coordinated beautifully. So many family members and friends have been talking non stop about how absolutely beautiful the venue was. Seriously itâs so unique. Many said it was one of the nicest weddings they have been too, which was so great to hear. We found it to be extremely reasonably priced and were able to do our whole wedding for under $20,000. Definitely check this place out.

She went above and beyond for us and was incredibly responsive to all of our questions and needs. She gave us great advice and kept in constant communication the day of the wedding, sending pictures of how the decorations were looking. The Mayernik was super affordable. We had our wedding the weekend after Thanksgiving, and they had the Christmas trees up, which looked absolutely amazing in the log cabin setting. We ran with the holiday theme, and we received so many compliments on our warm and welcoming winter wedding. I would recommend the Mayernik to anyone looking to get married in the Pittsburgh area.

My wife and I got married here on 8/11. When shopping around for wedding venues we fell absolutely in love with this place instantly, the log cabin look accented our rustic themed wedding perfectly. We chose to get married outside at this venue as well. We were completely happy with the venue, however we are only giving it 3 stars due to the coordinator we had named Jen. She made our wedding less enjoyable, she has no people skills and several of our guests came up to us after the wedding telling us different unpleasant encounters in which they had with her. As you look further down on the reviews for the Mayernik Center on this page you can see that we aren't the only couple who had trouble with her. I would highly recommend requesting another coordinator other than Jen

We chose to get married outside at this venue as well. We were completely happy with the venue, however we are only giving it 3 stars due to the coordinator we had named Jen. She made our wedding less enjoyable, she has no people skills and several of our guests came up to us after the wedding telling us different unpleasant encounters in which they had with her. As you look further down on the reviews for the Mayernik Center on this page you can see that we aren't the only couple who had trouble with her. Beautiful location and venue, however, the event coordinator needs a huge lesson on customer service and how to treat people when she is trying to do business with them. She is not a very pleasant person to work with at all, and clearly only does her job for a paycheck.

Had our wedding there on April 29, 2017. I had at least two different wedding \"coordinators\". Disappointed to say the least. I was under the impression my wedding was the only event going on that day...WRONG! What a surprise it was to see 40th Birthday banners being hung from the rafters of the small pavilion a few yards away while I was putting on my wedding dress. When I called Jennifer she was very short, stating it was a community park and if I didn't want other events that day I should have reserved the whole park. Which I would have done, gladly! She then refers me to a packet that explains all of this which I would of read had I received one. Cars were driving up and down directly behind my ceremony and I had to ensure that they closed the road off during the ceremony. The people from the party could clearly be heard by my guests and children were running behind us. What next? The bartenders. Our signature drink was the mojito and I specifically told them I wanted it on the sweet side. Every time, the drink was bitter and had to be dumped. I even provided the sugar I wanted used along with the mint leaves. I left with almost all of of the sugar and mint leaves I brought. I heard the bartenders weren't that great and I wish I would of listened. I also wish I would of listened to my husband when he told me we should have booked somewhere else. My final \"coordinator\" Jenn, though very short on the phone when I called about the party, did seem to die pretty well even though my wedding was essentially dropped in her lap because the other girl quit. When the bar closed (45 mins before my reception was over) she dropped my signature drink in my hand and said \"bars closed! Here's your drink!\" Which again...tasted horrible and I dumped it. Glad the fiasco of my \"perfect\" day is over and will not have to go through that again! Though it's beautiful there it's not worth the headache

The people from the party could clearly be heard by my guests and children were running behind us. What next? The bartenders. Our signature drink was the mojito and I specifically told them I wanted it on the sweet side. Every time, the drink was bitter and had to be dumped. I even provided the sugar I wanted used along with the mint leaves. I left with almost all of of the sugar and mint leaves I brought. I heard the bartenders weren't that great and I wish I would of listened. I also wish I would of listened to my husband when he told me we should have booked somewhere else. My final \"coordinator\" Jenn, though very short on the phone when I called about the party, did seem to die pretty well even though my wedding was essentially dropped in her lap because the other girl quit. When the bar closed (45 mins before my reception was over) she dropped my signature drink in my hand and said \"bars closed! Here's your drink!\" Which again...tasted horrible and I dumped it. Glad the fiasco of my \"perfect\" day is over and will not have to go through that again! Though it's beautiful there it's not worth the headache

Overall we loved our wedding at The Mayernik center. It is a nice blank canvas if you're a DIY bride or groom. It has a very rustic look but my wedding was very eclectic with some Halloween elements and I personally think it looked great! They also let us stay an extra half hour because our ceremony time ended up cutting into the beginning of our reception.I took off a star because I feel like they kind of nickel and dime you. Cost of just renting the building is a little high to not include anything else. We couldn't set up the night before so I had to rely on family to set up for me and I really wish I could have helped. Also we had 3 different day of coordinators because they kept leaving or changing positions or whatever. The lady we had day of was icy at our meeting before hand but I have to say was very helpful day of and was pleasant enough.Overall We loved our wedding and I would definitely recommend!

The Mayernik Center was the perfect venue for our son's wedding. Laurie, Kelly and Jen are top notch professionals and they made sure that the night was flawless. Their attention to detail made planning and executing the reception stress free. We had our wedding at the Mayernik on December 21, 2013, and the staff, headed up by Laurie Berry, was exceptional. She made sure that the day of went smoothly, and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. \r\rThe venue itself was beautiful, with Christmas trees that added to the feel that I wanted to capture for our winter wedding. It was the perfect place for a winter wedding (or any time for that matter).\r\rThe list of vendors that were permitted for use for catering, DJing, etc were some of the best that we could find. The Mayernik Center is a great wedding venue. The grounds are beautiful and the inside is so nice you don't have to have a lot of decorations. However, I wish they would be more upfront with their costs. Instead of charging for every little item they should have some sort of package deal because by the end we felt like we were being nickel and dimed even though we knew we would have to pay for these items.

When we first got to the Mayernik Center, its beauty was still evident despite the lack of life on the landscape that Pittsburgh acquires every late November. My fiancĂ© and I had a pretty good feeling about the layout and the picture we had painted in our mind, but none of this would have at all been possible if it had not been for the Mayernik Centerâs director, Suzi.\r\rFrom the very start, we knew we were going to be in good hands after the tour. We had many questions about the procedures for the following months, for which Suzi had a detailed answer for all of them. Currently we live in North Carolina so for us to be so far away raised some concerns for us based on the lack of face time we were going to be able to have with all the people involved in our big day. Suzi was able to alleviate any stress we felt on her end, due to her vigilant and detailed responses to ANY question we came up with.\rSuzi was an absolute pleaser to work with, and communicated well with all parties involved (caterer, DJ, parents, bartenders), and we know for a fact that this day would not have gone even a fraction as well if it were not for Suzi, and the wonderful staff that are behind the scenes at the Mayernik Center.

Shannon and Susie were wonderful. They seemed to try very hard to work with my requests and they were great at answering all of my questions. I E-mailed them several times over the course of the last year and Shannon always got back to me quickly. The day of the wedding went off without a hitch and the building itself was beautiful. Even if the lights that I was told would be changed were still flickering on and off annoyingly.\r\r\rThe reason for my less than perfect review was because of the policy change. When my husband and I booked the Mayernik center we were told that we would have some time to set-up and decorate. Although it was not mentioned in the contract, (we were told it was because if they could book an event 3 months prior to our wedding then they wanted to leave that option open, and we would be informed otherwise, makes sense) I took them on their word that they would be accommodating to the time constraints of a do-it-yourself wedding. I was very disappointed later when they switched their events coordinator, and a few months before the wedding I was informed that we were unable to arrive before 10am to set up because of a policy change. They claimed that it was because it is very expensive to heat and cool the building so I explained that I would not need air conditioning. Every suggestion I threw out was denied and I eventually had to sacrifice one of my best friends (whom I wanted by my side) so that she could go and decorate the morning we were getting ready.\r\r\rIn the end Susie took time out of her day to help with the set-up, she arrived earlier than ten to let us into the building and she was very accommodating the day of the event. She coordinated everything to the timeline I had given her and sometimes she even brought me a drink. She was very helpful the day of, even though she was very busy with other events going on in the park.\r\r\rI do not regret booking the Mayernik center but I believe their policy is way too strict and \"THE BOARD\" (all I kept hearing about) should reconsider.\r\r\rJust beware, there is nowhere to store anything prior to 10am, no way to drop things off prior to 10am, no way to cool things prior to 10am, no way to do anything until the time the bride and everyone else helping with the wedding is supposed to get ready for the wedding and are unable to be there. If you plan this ahead of time though your event should run smoothly.

The Mayernik Center is a beautiful place for a wedding reception (especially in the fall!). The staff is so helpful and replies to phone calls and email very quickly. I was looking into different chair cover options, and they even tried them out and emailed me pictures to help me decide. They have very good catering choices and are incredibly helpful, especially the day of the event. I highly recommend.

We had our wedding at the Mayernik Center at the beginning of September. We had a beautiful day in a gorgeous and comfortable setting and couldn't have been happier. Our ceremony and reception were both held at the Center, which made planning and decorating very convenient. I was worried we wouldn't have enough time to complete our decorating because there was an event there the night before...but it went fine with some help from some friends and family. We had originally been working with the former events coordinator, who had to move out of state a week before our wedding!!! But the assistant/relief coordinator did a fine job, and I'm sure will improve with more experience. Both were very helpful, gave me good ideas for our wedding day, and helped with the details the day of. Many of our guests commented on what a unique place it was and really enjoyed themselves. After searching for months (online and in person) for a venue, the Mayernik felt \"right\" to my fiancee and I, and the price was very reasonable, compared to many others. Overall we were very happy with our choice. The only thing that may have made it better was to have had the choice of an outside ceremony without paying extra money(we were definitely on a budget)...you have to rent your own chairs and other outside decor, but everything is included if the ceremony is inside.

Both were very helpful, gave me good ideas for our wedding day, and helped with the details the day of. Many of our guests commented on what a unique place it was and really enjoyed themselves. After searching for months (online and in person) for a venue, the Mayernik felt \"right\" to my fiancee and I, and the price was very reasonable, compared to many others. Overall we were very happy with our choice. The only thing that may have made it better was to have had the choice of an outside ceremony without paying extra money(we were definitely on a budget)...you have to rent your own chairs and other outside decor, but everything is included if the ceremony is inside.

It was worth the money, I got comments about how great the hall looked. Very scenic. The previous coordinator quit right before the wedding and the new coordinator was not very personable. Maybe its just nerves, but I didnt let it bother my day!

I was recently married at this venue. We had both the ceremony and reception here. We have heard from everyone that attended how beautiful the venue is and the grounds are so nice. It was a very romantic ceremony outside in the grass with the woods as the back drop. We are very pleased with this location, the ease and stress free planning. The only downfalls are for the money you do not get a lot of time, and it is a crazy amount of money to buy extra hours. They will not let you set up the night before or come in very early to have everything set up. Also our wedding cordinater that we were working with since we booked quit right before our wedding and we were stuck with a new lady and she was so cranky and not very helpful. I have heard from a lot of people that she looked miserable and yelled at them. Did not appreciate the way she treated our guests. The lady that quit was awesome. Also you have to rent chairs for the ceremony they do not provide them even though the sell package for ceremony/reception.

Our wedding and reception was held at a log cabin. I loved the fact that it was a warm and inviting space that was able to accomidate us whether we had an indoor or an outdoor wedding. This was a second marriage for both of us and we did not want anything traditional or too formal. For us, this was the perfect place, originally we were going to hold the ceremony outside on the patio area, but approximately 10 minutes prior to the ceremony beginning, it began to rain. Everyone pulled together and set things up so that we were able to have the ceremony inside in front of the floor to ceiling stone fireplace. We received many compliments from the guests about how pleasant it was that they felt a part of the ceremony. I feel like I could go on and on about the positives of holding an event here. We would highly recommend it to anyone regardless of the event.;Honestly - I have none -
