The Central West End's Premiere Wedding Venue!
The Historic McPherson begins a new life as The McPherson Wedding Venue. The Main Chapel has State of the Art Audio and Mood Lighting Systems. A Private 5,000 Square Foot Courtyard can host Outdoor Weddings. A Special Wedding Gazebo in the Courtyard will allow Brides to have the Outdoor Wedding they always wanted with the security of knowing that the event can easily be moved inside. There is both a Groom’s room and a Bride’s suite on site. The Bride’s suite is over 700 sf and includes a private bathroom, salon quality makeup and hair counter that can seat five and a lounge area with couches, refrigerator and video monitoring of the main hall so that the bride’s party can watch as guests arrive. Numerous bars & restaurants are located within 1 block.

The McPherson Wedding Venue made our wedding day (10.14.23) the best day of our lives! This venue really brought our wedding together and made us feel like we were in a different world! The bridal suite was a great place for all of us girls to get ready and the guys enjoyed hanging out in the grooms room! Philip was great to work with and everyone there was so nice and took great care of us! Even after the wedding, we had accidentally left some stuff behind and they held onto it for us until we were able to go pick it up. I will always recommend this venue and it will always hold a special place in my heart!

The McPherson Wedding Venue made our wedding day (10.14.23) the best day of our lives! This venue really brought our wedding together and made us feel like we were in a different world! My company was looking for a venue to host one of our semi annual corporate dinner events so we decided on the McPherson and I’m so glad we did. Everything was perfect. My first point of contact was Phillip and he was very attentive to questions as I was juggling decisions between multiple parties. He never made me feel like I was a burden which I’m sure I was with as many questions as I had. He was quick to respond to each and every one of my inquiries via text. Once we were certain this was the place, Phillip put me in touch with Emily from Russos. Russos is their exclusive caterer. I am so grateful they had a meal plan that fit our budget. The meal was absolutely delicious including our meals for those with dietary restrictions. We had a carved beef that was to die for! Phillip was present the night of the event to make sure our sound and visuals were up and running and he even put our company logos up on the bar screens for some added flair. This was an added touch he did just because. The catering staff were very-respectful of our presentation as they provided dinner service during the presentation. Long story, not short, everything was perfect for our guests and we will for sure be booking more events here at the McPherson. Not to mention I am also planning a wedding so this was great for a trial run. While on sight I got to check out the bridal suite and it was like nothing I had seen before!! Absolutely stunning! Thank you Phillip for all your support! I will for sure be seeing you again very soon!

the venue was beautiful inside and out. but here's where our problem was- in the contract, it states that you have the entire venue for the rental price.BUT , if you want to have a courtyard ceremony (which is on the venue property) you have to pay an extra $295... THEN you have to pay for each individual chair (was $1.50 when we signed our contract, but increased to $3 by wedding time, luckily only had to pay the 1.50) and a setup/delivery/take down fee as well... you also have only one choice for a caterer, which was a pain as well due to the upcharges for that. but that will be on the caterer review

The McPherson was absolutely amazing for our wedding! The getting ready areas were gorgeous, and Phillip was fantastic—so helpful and accommodating. We hosted our daughter’s reception at The McPherson. I am so glad we chose this venue! Russo’s catering staff were so friendly and the food was great. This venue is a hidden gem in the heart of the Central West End. Not only is the venue beautiful inside and out, it also has great parking directly across the street. Thank you Phillip for making our daughter's reception a dream come true and being there for us through the planning process!I highly recommend this venue! You will be in good hands from start to finish!

I helped my niece plan her wedding at the McPherson and this venue is absolutely stunning! From the beamed ceilings, lovely courtyard and bride suite, The McPherson did not disappoint. We received so many compliments from our guests throughout the entire evening. The entire day of and evening went so smooth and the food was delicious. I want to personally thank Phillip for all of his attention to detail on the day of and answering all of my questions promptly throughout the planning process! So happy we chose the McPherson!

Anything we had questions about or needed he was quick to answer via call, text, or email. I was able to visit the venue several times before my wedding to measure things, get eyes on the venue to help with my vision for the day, and show loved ones before the day of. The bridal suite is so spacious. Everything was clean & exceeded our expectations! We could not recommend this venue more!

The venue is beautiful and Phil is very good an communicating. He is helpful and informed. The bridal suite has a lot of odds and ends that I didn't have to worry about (steamer, lint roller, etc) which was a nice thing not to have to worry about.My only issue is that their exclusive caterer is Russo's and I had a very poor experience with them.

The McPherson was a GORGEOUS venue to have our wedding. It oozes classic romance, charm, and elegance which was precisely what I wanted for our wedding. The venue is perfect for a small to medium size wedding. We had 125 guests and it was perfect for our size. Many great perks about this venue including 1) its natural décor lends itself to minimal decoration needed, 2) It is an “easy button” for decisions as the bar, food, linens, and cake are all handled by the one caterer, 3) parking lot included, 4) bridal suite and grooms quarters, 5) many onsite options for pictures.HOWEVER, I am dropping to 3 stars for the following reasons:1.\tPLEASE go read reviews on Russo’s catering before booking with them. They are the only caterer and I experienced many difficulties with them. The food and day of experience was excellent – service leading to the event was POOR. This should not affect the score of the venue BUT because they are the ONLY caterer it must by default. 2.\tVenue coordinator never referred to me by my name ONCE. I do not expect to be friends but I would have appreciated him at least pretending to know who I was when I called. 3.\tIn the intro meeting, you are given a packet with “all the info you need to know”. Turns out that’s all the info you will get. “Refer to the packet”. I reached out with questions here and there (reasonable amount and never emergent). He would respond immediately but he would let you know that he was “out to dinner with his family” or “he wasn’t working today” but he could talk. Made you feel like you were inconveniencing him when you just wanted to schedule a meeting to go over some questions. Tried to schedule a final touch point and was asked “well what do you want to know? Did you meet with the caterer? We can talk about this when we get closer.” I had to direct this instead of him making sure I had all of the final items made and needed. I found this part of my experience very stressful when I paid the venue and it is his sole job to coordinate. I finally got his attention FOUR DAYS before the wedding so I could have that discussion.4.\tThe “extra” items that they provide will nickel and dime you to death after paying a nice sum to rent the venue. They are due 30 days ahead of time – again because I couldn’t schedule a time to talk, I got the bill three days ahead of time. He then had the audacity to make sure that I got the bill and to hand a copy to my bridesmaid when she walked in so he could make sure I paid. 5.\tIf you have your ceremony indoors, there is a hidden charge from the catering company Russo’s not mentioned in any of the paperwork provided by the McPherson. It is $2 per person.All this said, I would definitely not change our venue, but I wish someone had left an honest review so that I could have known these items going in.

The McPherson in the Central West End is beautiful! I had my wedding here on August 12, and both the ceremony and reception was beautiful. The dining room is gorgeous with a vaulted ceiling; it looks absolutely beautiful when the tables are set for the reception. I cannot compliment the manager Phillip enough. What a super person to deal with. He was always available to answer questions and was very agreeable throughout the process. The venue has a spacious bridal suite (lower level) that can be rented the entire wedding day. It's extremely cool during the hot summer days and is roomy enough for a large bridal party. Russo's, the caterer, serves delicious food and the wait staff acts as if they are serving a family member's wedding. They are detail oriented and so kind. What a wonderful place to host a wedding. Superior recommendation.

Abell DJ Company, DJ team has performed for many beautiful couples here and I have to say, it is one of my favorite venues in the St Louis area. I love the layout including the outdoor courtyard that's perfect for ceremonies or cocktails but, most of all the fantastic staff. Abell DJ Company, DJ team has performed for many beautiful couples here and I have to say, it is one of my favorite venues in the St Louis area. I love the layout including the outdoor courtyard that's perfect for ceremonies or cocktails but, most of all the fantastic staff. They are easy to work with ensuring the couples day goes smoothly.Looking forward to being back soon!

Wow!! I would highly recommend this venue to anyone and everyone! It is beautiful, Phillip is wonderful, and their catering partner Russo’s is fabulous. Phillip was great to work with from the start. We had the privilege of attending my niece’s wedding in St Louis and we must say that The McPherson is one of the most extraordinary wedding venues that we have ever seen. My niece had an outdoor ceremony in their huge courtyard that was just gorgeous. And the courtyard was great for the cocktail hour with a separate bar in addition to the main bar. Short lines !. The main reception hall has dramatic tall arched ceiling and really cool mood lighting. The dance floor lighting was also great. Altho I did not get to see it, my wife was able to visit our niece in the bride’s suite and she said it was the best she has ever seen. All in all a beautiful venue that you will always remember. As a plus for us we were able to book a very nice AirBnB that was right next door.

The main reception hall has dramatic tall arched ceiling and really cool mood lighting. The dance floor lighting was also great. Altho I did not get to see it, my wife was able to visit our niece in the bride’s suite and she said it was the best she has ever seen. All in all a beautiful venue that you will always remember. As a plus for us we were able to book a very nice AirBnB that was right next door.

Beautiful place that made for beautiful photos.However, the service what not what it should have been the day of the wedding. The McPherson is a beautiful space and has many amenities for your special day! From the beginning, Phillip was responsive and helpful. I emailed about a tour and received a response within minutes. Phillip was upfront and open about the space, cost, and showed us pictures of previous weddings during our tour. The bridal suite is amazing. It was a great space for me and my bridesmaids to relax before the ceremony/reception. Phillip truly thinks of everything and stocks the bridal suite with everything you might need. The McPherson is wonderful but it is helpful to know going in that the catering might be an obstacle.

I was the wedding coordinator for my brother's wedding at the McPherson Venue this weekend and it was the flawless day! Phillip personally gave the photographer and myself a tour of the venue in case anyone had questions or we needed back-up supplies. He was very friendly, funny, and helped with anything we needed. We got to the venue at 3pm for a 6pm ceremony and the venue was clean and all ceremony chairs and reception tables and chairs were set up matching our seating charts and needs as previously discussed. The Bridal suite is perfect for getting ready and nice and hidden away. The patio is perfect for a ceremony and an outdoor extension for the reception. The catering and bar staff were very professional and continuously touched base throughout the evening. We didn't have any issues with cleanliness. The kids feet were black at the end of the evening from dancing barefoot inside but I think that is to be expected. We had a great evening and had nothing but professionalism from the venue and staff. Our wedding had about 75 guests and was a perfect size for what we needed.

Our daughter and son-in-law were married at The McPherson in April 2021. The wedding had been postponed due to COVID and with all the changes came questions. We found that the owners, Phillip and his father,  were not always helpful or responsive to messages left. They gave different Infomation and tended to blame each other for any problems. It is a beautiful venue but was filthy.  We paid extra to arrive early the day of the wedding so the bride and bridesmaids could get ready in the Bridal Suite. Phillip’s father met us that morning and said he had “tidied up a little in the Bridal Suite.”When I inquired as to what time the cleaning people would arrive, to clean up from the prior night’s event of 110 people, he laughed and said “that would be Phillip.” Later when the flower girl was walking barefoot in the Bridal Suite the bottoms of her feet were black. This venue has not been cleaned properly for a very long time! We were told the venue was ours for the entire day, which really was not true. Phillip didn’t show up until 10:30, he dusted the floor picking up dropped food left from the night before and did a leaf blower and chair set up in the courtyard for the ceremony at 5:30. When the Florist and Wedding planner arrived at noon to start decorating very little cleaning had been completed.  This made it hard for them to decorate. When we left for pictures at 1:00 we thought by the time we returned at 4:00 the restrooms and venue would have been cleaned. That was not the case. With Covid we thought cleaning would be a priority, it was the opposite. The restrooms were NEVER cleaned after the party the night before. NOT even touched! Sink tops still wet and dirty floors and toilets. It was actually a relief that the wedding was virtual with only a small number of people on-site. We would have been embarrassed to have family and friends see how poorly managed and dirty this venue was.  The draft beer lines had mold in them, which was discovered when the wedding party was served a beer, so only bottled beer was available. I would NOT recommend having a wedding or any event at The McPherson.

My husband and I had our wedding and reception here 9/27/2020. The weather allowed for us to have the ceremony in the courtyard and reception in the chapel. Everything was beautiful. Phillip was nothing short of helpful and there whenever he was needed. He went beyond to provide all the intricate details to add special touches for our special day. This is an excellent venue and Phillip is the best, he's all about making sure you have what you need and making one of the most important days in your life special. Thank you!

My husband and I had our reception there on Saturday and everything was PERFECT! During the entire planning phase Philip and the team at Russo’s were so easy to work with. We were able to do our cocktail hour outside and then eat and dance the night away inside. There was a grey area for the 8 piece band and so much room for dancing. The bridal suite is also amazing and great for an outfit change later on in the evening. My husband, myself, and my parents can not get over how PERFECT everything was. Philip really worked with us to make the room look exactly as we wanted! If you rent this space you will not regret it!

Critical: Professionalism, ResponsivenessSo we booked this venue because originally it was picture perfect. The owners and managers were very welcoming. Then once they received our money it went down hill from there. When the corona virus started happening we received no communication about anything what so ever unless we personally reached out to the manager. When I was able to get ahold of the manager he acted annoyed with me and my questions. Which was frustration considering we spend 5,000 to have the venue for 4 hours. We also were not given any money back for having it on a different day (Friday instead of Saturday) due to corona virus restrictions. Which is a pretty significant price difference between the days. If it wasn’t for our caterer who told us without them the venue wouldn’t have opened to capacity limits we wouldn’t have been able to have our reception with all of our guests. The caterer explained that they had to submit a plan to the city because the manager of the venue never did. Then once we had the venue there they kept turning up the AC to 76 degrees. Making me as a bride and all of my guests sweat profusely. When we asked them to turn it down they did so for 20 minutes before turning it back up again. For someone paying $5000 to have their reception there for 4 hours we were not treated respectfully. Called the manager the week after and he never offered an apology to my father and instead just hung up the phone with no apology. I’m only giving this venue two stars for the way it looked on the inside because it was beautiful. But the management and the owners were horrible to work with. The management also likes to say that it was “pulling teeth” to get money but we paid them in the time frame and payment schedule that was agreed to by management. Not to mention he wants to make a comment about the vomit in the bathroom. Had I known about that I would have had someone clean it up. Sorry that on my wedding day I was not informed about someone getting sick in the bathroom. The comments by management pretty much sum it up people. Beware of putting your money into this venue!!!

I loved how accessible the venue you was - we were able to drop by often to get a look at the venue as our plans progressed - very helpful. The McPherson is truly one-of-a-kind! We got married 2 weeks ago in a courtyard ceremony at the McPherson. When we started planning, we knew that we wanted one place for ceremony and reception. The McPherson was the first place I visited and I fell in love with it immediately. The second place didn’t even hold a candle to it. The venue is so beautiful. They really thought of all details when they redesigned the place. Our entire experience with them was so easy! Phillip, the owner, is very laid back and easy to work with. Russo’s is the in-house caterer and they were so accommodating—the food and cake were delicious and all of their staff were wonderful too! We received so many compliments on the venue. If I had to do it over, I would choose The McPherson again and again!

We stumbled upon the McPherson by random chance and it was such a great discovery! We had to book over a year in advance to get a date we wanted but it was worth the wait! We did both ceremony and reception there and everything worked out perfectly, thanks to Philip! The ceremony was outside on their gorgeous patio that has all its own natural decorations so we didn’t need to do hardly anything since it was beautiful to begin with. The reception was inside with awesome high ceilings and beautiful wood and stained glass windows and so many guests were blow away at its natural beauty. Without even meaning to, it gave off the vibe of being somewhat Harry Potter themed, which is the best compliment in my eyes. Philip has made an amazing venue and worked so hard to make sure everything ran smoothly, even when it looked like it was about to rain! He’s prepared for everything and was easy to communicate with at any time in our planning! We can’t thank him enough and can only hope more people get to experience the greatness that is The McPherson!!

They do require use of their exclusive caterer, but this was no problem for us as Russo's is highly rated as well (our food turned out fantastic)! Other than that, you can pick whatever vendors you like. Two critical selling points for me were 1) the FANTASTIC bridal suite and 2) the large parking lot for guests. The owners clearly put a ton of thought into making sure the bride is at ease when getting ready: it's a beautiful space so it looks great in \"getting ready\" pictures, comes stocked with a steamer for dresses, plenty of seating, private bathroom, video feed of guests arriving, and plenty of outlets/stools/mirror space for getting ready. All in all, my husband and I are so glad we went with The McPherson for our wedding, and we do highly recommend it!

I love how convenient it is from the space to get ready, to the parking and nearby hotels for guests. Strongly considering having our wedding and reception at this gorgeous venue!

The McPherson wedding venue is absolutely breathtaking. It has the most perfect classic, vintage feel. The minute we walked in for the tour, we fell in love.Phillip was amazing to work with from the beginning to the end. He was available via text with answers to any questions a bride may have...and I had a lot of questions so this was so important to me. Closer to our wedding date, it was so easy to set up a time to see the venue again to finalize our decor. Everything in there is truly done with love and care. When looking for a DJ, Phillip recommended we reach out to DJ Chris Harris and that was the best thing we could of done. DJ Chris works the venue frequently which made things so easy. Chris is not only an awesome person but a fantastic DJ that was able to help us have the most amazing reception! The dance floor was always popping and never empty! We opted for the early access for the bridal suite and that was so perfect and convenient. The girls could all get ready downstairs while we could also start decorating the upstairs. The natural beauty of the venue made decorating the place easy. The only thing that bothered me a bit were the tours that were scheduled for Saturday morning (after the start time of our early access.) Per contract they have the right to show the venue but I just wish we were given a heads up about the scheduled tours-but that’s a very minor complaint.The McPherson does have an excessive catering contract with Russo’s. Kathy from Russo’s was a bit harder to work with at first but closer to the wedding date, she was prompt with her responses and changes to the contract. We decided to do a plated dinner which work very well for our wedding size (150people). Our entrees were chicken and salmon and everyone seemed to truly enjoy the food. Russo’s also handled our cake which was delicious. They even did a token cake for my husband and I which was perfect because we didn’t have time to try the cake during the reception. We had both the ceremony and reception at the McPherson which worked out very well. The guests were able to enjoy the cocktail hour while the room got flipped by Russo’s staff. The flip did run a little long due to a bit of confusion but that barely affected our timeline. Overall, we heard nonstop complements about how beautiful the venue is...it was an amazing day at the perfect location. If we were to do it all over again, I would pick the McPherson again and again.

My husband and I are SO glad we went with the McPherson for our wedding venue. First off, Phillip was incredible to work with. He was always extremely prompt, prepared and accommodating. Also, the venue was beautiful. This was a large reason why we picked it, being that its own natural beauty required very little additional decor (and made for beautiful pictures). All of the guests remarked about how beautiful the venue was and liked how everything was all in one place. As a whole, the McPherson is the best all in one wedding venue!The only downside is that there is only one preferred caterer, so you have to use them. Although the food was spectacular (I had numerous comments about it being some of the best wedding food ever), Kathy, the main Russo's point of contact, was not the best to work with. She frankly was rather rude, her contracts had numerous mistakes that I had to point out and she did not always listen. Besides that, the cake was phenomenal and food exceptional, so as long as you can put up with the planning aspects of the catering, it's well worth it. That being said, choose the McPherson for the stunning venue, exceptional amenities and competitive pricing. You'll be glad you did.

Also, the venue was beautiful. This was a large reason why we picked it, being that its own natural beauty required very little additional decor (and made for beautiful pictures). All of the guests remarked about how beautiful the venue was and liked how everything was all in one place. As a whole, the McPherson is the best all in one wedding venue!The only downside is that there is only one preferred caterer, so you have to use them. Although the food was spectacular (I had numerous comments about it being some of the best wedding food ever), Kathy, the main Russo's point of contact, was not the best to work with. She frankly was rather rude, her contracts had numerous mistakes that I had to point out and she did not always listen. Besides that, the cake was phenomenal and food exceptional, so as long as you can put up with the planning aspects of the catering, it's well worth it. That being said, choose the McPherson for the stunning venue, exceptional amenities and competitive pricing. You'll be glad you did.

The girls and I really enjoyed getting ready in the bridal suite and it was so great to be there day of and not have to drive around from place to place. The space is so beautiful that we didn't even have to leave for photos.

Loved this venue! We were married here in August of 2018. First, everyone thoroughly appreciated the bridal suite. The way the room is set up gave us plenty of room for 10 women getting ready, 3 person makeup and hair team, 2 flower girls, and the photographer. We had our wedding at the venue inside, then cocktail hour in the courtyard, and went back inside for the reception. Everything went very smooth for us and our 150 guests. We had a 5 person band set up in the alcove up front and the dance floor was in use until midnight! It is also a fun area to show your out of town guests. Even though our wedding ended at midnight a lot of people walked to bars after. The McPherson uses Russo’s for their catering and we received many compliments on the food. We chose a seated dinner with chicken and beef and people said it was some of the best wedding food they have had. The courtyard was great for a couple night time photos with the lights strung up in the background. Finally, we had a friend officiate and they made the use of their microphones and sound system very easy. I would definitely recommend this venue.

I honestly don't think you can go wrong with The McPherson. Maybe in the future they'll consider allowing couples to choose their own caterer but that's really beside the point and doesn't detract from the great job The McPherson did before and on our wedding day.

Absolutely breathtaking! I fell in love with this venue the moment we entered the front doors. We still had a couple other places i was planning on walking through but i was already sold. It is very trendy right now to have a more modern/industrial looking venue but i wanted somewhere with a more enchanted/fairytale vibe and being here and working with this venue, i felt like a princess on my big day! This venue is not only stunning but working with Phillip was so wonderful. Being a bride is stressful enough, but Phillip made sure we knew he was there to make everything so smoothly. He always got back to me with answers to all of my many many questions almost immediately and went above and beyond to make sure the day went exactly as i had planned. We didn’t have a very large wedding budget but he accommodated us so well making sure to keep us on track and everything still turned out absolutely BEAUTIFUL! I can’t say enough about wonderful everything was! I would choose them over and over again in a heartbeat and will reccomend them to ALL future brides!

Additionally, most of our guests were in from out of town, and the location in the central west end was a great showcase for St. Louis. Russo's in their exclusive caterer, and the food and drink were quite delicious and presented beautifully, as was the room set up. However, in the planning phase for the reception, Kathy from Russo's was a bit difficult to get a hold of. That being said, Russo's did a great job and it was worth it to not have to shop around and find a caterer on my own. Overall, this was the PERFECT venue for our purposes and I would absolutely hire them again. Highly recommended!

The day I visited The McPherson for the first time was a hectic one. I had scheduled other tours for myself and my mother, and this was somewhere in the middle. I will tell you honestly, the venues that came after looked plain, inconvenient, and cramped in comparison. I only had eyes for The McPherson. From start to finish, the location and the staff were exceptional. I would recommend this Venue to any bride, not just St. Louis brides. It is worth the trip. The property is owned and operated by a gentleman named Phillip Boschert. He gave us our original tour, and it was immediately obvious he was a straightforward, likable person who put his both his heart and years of hard work into restoring the building. I cannot say enough about Phillip. He was a breeze to work with throughout planning. He was always easy to contact, quick to address any questions we had, and just genuinely eager to help. Though I’m sure the new venue kept him busy, there had only been one wedding there when I booked my date, we never felt like we were falling through the cracks. Phillip run this venue like a wedding industry veteran, but without the cynical, money grabbing attitude we encountered elsewhere. His service could quite literally not have been improved upon in any way. Day of, he was the absolute sweetest. He was a comforting and helpful presence as things were being setup, but in no way intrusive. After the ceremony, he popped in to say a quick congratulations, and even went out of his way to bring us a plate of appetizers. The building itself is amazing. On the initial tour we spoke about the plaster work, which makes the ornate ceilings near the bar and the barrel ceiling in the hall, the trim and medallions on those ceilings, the building of the bar itself. Having been around carpentry, it was plain to see the care and skill with which the details were captured. A particular favorite of mine is the original stained glass in the grand hall. The overall aesthetic is classicly formal, but more effortless and flowing than stuffy. The dramatic, ceiling trussed in dark wood perfectly compliments the more modern wood-like tiled floors. It is a historical building with all of the amenities of a brand new space. I fawn over historic homes and the like, but I cannot express how calming it was to be in a space that was so equipped to handle the event. The restrooms were clean, spacious, and plenty in number. The air conditioning was amazing in early September. During the day, it was cool and comfortable, and after adding over 100 guests, it stayed that way. The courtyard was gorgeous, lit in bistro lights with up lighting displaying the landscaping. It is in a quieter area with little to no city noise, and the height of the fence along with the brick of the building five your guests all the privacy they could want. There is more than enough room for cocktail hour. There is an additional countertop that made a wonderful coffee bar. We chose an indoor ceremony and family style meal. The ceremony location was expertly flipped to a reception space during cocktail hour. Having been in serveral weddings recently, I can say the bridal suite and private parking lot are worth their weight in gold. You simply do not see other historical venues with those amenities. The bridal suite was an absolute luxury. The private restroom, wet bar, seating area, and five person vanity made getting all the girls dressed a relaxed event. It would be a mistake to miss The McPherson.

We booked our wedding ceremony and reception at The McPherson wedding venue. They were very accommodating and kind throughout the entire process. The space is absolutely beautiful and has everything you can think of! All of our guests loved the venue! I would highly recommend them to anyone!

We booked our reception at the McPherson before it finished its renovations. We think it is one of the best venues in STL (and we saw a lot of them)! Our guests loved that there were multiple rooms because it allowed them to dance, have more intimate conversations, or sit outside on the patio. The McPherson is one of the few venues in STL that has both indoor and outdoor spaces. The planning process was sometimes smooth or bumpy, depending on which of the owners/manager contacted you. For example, we completed a revised contract with one person, and that person ok'd every revision. We signed the contract and sent it in. Over a few months, we repeatedly asked for a returned signed copy of the contract. At one point, a different manager said they lost the contract and asked us to send them a copy. We did, and the new manager said he would not agree to the changes. Our planner contacted the previous manager and had everything worked out, but the process left us frustrated. That said, the service the day of the wedding went smoothly and we and our guests loved the space. We would definitely recommend it to others.

The McPherson is amazing! Phillip was so incredibly helpful and accommodating. The venue is beautiful and the food, which is catered by Russo’s, was wonderful. I highly recommend that you order your cake through them too. I had multiple guests tell me that is was the best wedding cake that they have ever had. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone.

Blake and I were looking for a fresh venue in St Louis to host our New Years Eve wedding and The McPherson was just the place. This is the perfect venue to have your ceremony and reception (all in one), which was perfect for our guest so they did not have to travel anymore than they already were for our wedding. The turn around time was around 45 minutes from the end of the ceremony to switch out the room for our reception. Let's be honest, that is pretty fast when you have around 180 guests, band, flowers, decor and tables to debut. However, with multiple bars and quarters for guest to mingle with drinks and appetizers, it felt like no time at all. From the indoor ambiance which will amaze you as soon as you walk through the doors to the outside courtyard, I knew we found the place. (Yes, it was freezing on NYE but I still incorporated the outside with a heated tent to make sure we had the perfect place for the cigar lounge). And yes, it was a huge hit! The attentiveness to details....... this venue will make it happen. Phillip always found a way to make sure whatever we wanted to add we had, outdoor fire pits (done), balloon drop (why not)... He was always willing to make things work for the special day. Another benefit about this venue was Russo's Catering. They went above and beyond my expectations with the food!!!! I loved their menu and what they had to offer, however I also wanted to go outside the box with a seafood station and of course they made that happen! Kathy was not only our catering coordinator with Russo's for the venue she was also YOUR OWN WEDDING COORDINATOR. Yes!!! She will help you coordinate your special day and thank goodness I had her because I chose to be my own planner. Blake and I can not say enough good things about this venue, it clearly speaks for itself in the awe factor. But not only did we get a beautiful venue we had wonderful people from the venue to help us work out the details.Thank you McPherson for hosting our special day!Molly and Blake 12-31-17

We are the great pleasure of having our wedding at the McPherson. It truly was beautiful (inside and out). We are so happy we found the venue. Phillip was responsive to any of our needs and very upfront about the whole process. We got ready at the venue, which DID NOT disappoint. The bridal room was great for all our hair and make-up plus an area we could relax before the big event--It was warm and inviting. The actual wedding ceremony and reception both took place at the McPherson and exceeded our expectations. I could not speak higher of the McPherson and Russo’s. All of our guests commented on the wonderful venue and delicious food. I would recommend the McPherson and Russo’s to any of my family and friends!

As the owner of Signature Bridal, I have had the opportunity to visit most of the wedding venues in St Louis. I have watched for the last year as The McPherson was transformed from a 100 year old chapel into one of the most unique and beautiful wedding venues that I have ever seen. The wedding chapel has a gorgeous antique crystal chandelier that hangs over the bride and groom with equally impressive crystal wall sconces on both sides. After the ceremony there is state of the art dance floor lighting as well as mood lights that can be programmed for any color imaginable. The cocktail area has a beautiful bar with six draft beers available. The private rear courtyard is huge and can easily accommodate an outside wedding service with the ceremony under a beautiful arbor with chandelier. There is also an outside bar and bathroom. And the inside bathrooms are all new with marble floors, vessel sinks and European style stalls. Finally, in addition to the leather furnished Groom’s room there is a large bride’s suite with private bath, couches, refreshments and more.
