The Merrimon-Wynne has been my dream venue since I moved to Raleigh in 2016. I’ve followed along on Instagram and dreamed about what my wedding could look like there. When my (now) husband and I got engaged and started our venue search there were only a few things we both really wanted. 1) Separate spaces for ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception; 2) separate, dedicated spaces for the bride and groom to get ready; 3) a beautiful backdrop for the most special day of our lives. The Merrimon-Wynne delivered on all 3 and more and was an absolute no-brainer when it came to making the final decision.Our planning and coordinating team, Sasha and Lucy, were above and beyond amazing! The organizational tools that Sasha provided were so helpful and working with her was amazing! I am a bit of a control freak but handing over control to Sasha, Lucy and their team was incredibly easy since I knew they had all of our wants and needs covered! I didn’t have to worry about a single thing day of. The venue itself is gorgeous. The pictures I had seen were amazing, but they don’t even do it justice. They have thought of literally everything and designed everything with care. The grooms suite was the most thoughtful we had seen throughout our venue tour and my husband and his groomsmen really enjoyed getting to spend time together playing poker and foosball. The bridal suite is spacious, gorgeous, and the perfect place to get ready. The options for our ceremony space were all beautiful, we ended up using the lawn and placing the arbor under the large trees. It was the most beautiful backdrop to a perfect ceremony. The cocktail hour inside the house was beautifully setup and having 2 bars was amazing for our guest count! We opted to also have some yard games and lounge furniture in the lawn during cocktail hour and our reception and it was perfect for the beautiful and warm late October weather! The Carriage House is beautiful and the setup that Sasha and the team did was beyond my wildest dreams, everything was PERFECT! We had the most special day and Merrimon-Wynne was the perfect setting. We are forever grateful to Sasha, Lucy, and the rest of the team and can’t wait to celebrate more special occasions with The Merrimon-Wynne!

My husband and I had the wedding of our dreams at the Merrimon-Wynne House in October 2023 and we cannot say enough praises about this venue and our amazing day-of coordinator, Lindsey.From the moment Kaila gave us a tour of the Merrimon-Wynne, we knew it was the perfect place for our special day. The venue is full of charm and intimacy which made us certain we’d feel surrounded by our loved ones all day and evening. One of the stand out features was the convenience of having everything in one place, from getting ready in the most gorgeous bridal suite filled with natural light, to getting married outside on the lawn, to having a cocktail hour on the bottom floor, and a reception in the carriage house. Every space was utilized and the flow made our day a dream.Our experience was elevated further by Lindsey, our day-of coordinator from Merrimon-Wynne. In the lead up, she went above and beyond making sure all of our questions were answered. She helped me tremendously with the bar quote, coordinating lunch for our getting ready time, and also designed cute printouts from the Photo Booth that matched our invitations! Lindsey’s kindness, attentiveness, and calming presence was a true blessing! She always made sure Adam and I had everything we needed, also ensuring our glasses were never empty and our entire day ran smoothly :-)We whole heartedly recommend Merrimon-Wynne as a wedding venue! The staff’s exceptional service, attention to detail, and the overall charm of the venue made our wedding day truly unforgettable. Thank you Kaila, Lindsey, and the Merrimon-Wynne team for all of your help!

As a bride who works in the wedding industry I cannot recommend the MW team enough! We worked with Sasha for Event Management/In-House Coordination and Lindsay was our day of Venue Coordinator. I truly cannot express how much I recommend this team from the execution to professionalism to actually getting to know myself and husband and connecting with us on a deeper level. Our day was greater than we could have imagined and executed flawlessly. Also every time we needed something or even turned around we always had a staff member there with open arms ready to help, grab us water (it was a very hot July day) or do anything we needed!!All in all this is your sign to book the Merrimon-Wynne House for your wedding or event and to use their In-House Planning and I promise you wont regret it!

The Merrimon-Wynne House is truly the most magical wedding venue on earth!! Everyone on the team worked so hard to make our day perfect in every way imaginable. The venue truly speaks for itself and captures a timeless, elegant, and picturesque feel. From the view of the front house that stops you in your tracks, each room that tells its own story, breathtaking lawn, and huge carriage house, MW offers an array of venues all wrapped up in one. We simply could not have imagined a better location to get married.Our day would not have been complete without the hard work of the MW planning team (Huge shoutout to Sasha and Lindsey) . Each member greeted us as if we were old friends being reunited. They celebrated us throughout the wedding planning process and helped execute a flawless day. But, none of this would have been possible without our planner, Sasha Buslovich! Sasha is someone you instantly fall in love with and feel so connected with. She is SO attentive to details and listens to every thought you have throughout the planning process. She is hard working, on top of every detail, and is hands down the best wedding planner you could ever find. Sasha truly takes the time to get to know her couples on a personal level and by the end of our wedding planning she felt like a close friend who knew us inside and out. She is truly one of the most exceptional women we have ever met!! We are FOREVER grateful for the wonderful team at MW who made our day everything we could have ever imagined and more.

Truly the best decision we made during the wedding planning process was booking Merrimon-Wynne as our wedding venue. It is not just a venue, it is an EXPERIENCE. After touring other venues in the Triangle during the early planning process, no other venues compared to the elegance and natural beauty of MW. As soon as we walked in, we were blown away by the space; from the spacious house, to the immaculate lawn and carriage house, I cannot imagine having our wedding anywhere else. Lindsey and Kaila made the booking process absolutely seamless, and were an absolute joy to work with during the planning process. After you book this venue, go ahead and book Heather Lawson as your wedding planner! Heather is part of the MW Planning Team, which is top notch. Heather combines her expertise, knowledge, connections, and incredible style to create the dream aesthetic. Our wedding night was an absolute dream thanks to Heather and her team! She helped bring our vision to life. Between the MW planning team and in-house coordinators, my husband and I worried about ABSOLUTELY NOTHING the day of. I was able to relax and enjoy every second of our wedding day with family and friends. Thank you for making our wedding a day we will never forget!

From day 1 on our tour, to the day of our wedding, we couldn’t have been more thankful for the Merrimon-Wynne staff and their wedding expertise. We worked closely with Heather and Lindsey, and they did an excellent job balancing the varying needs, wants, visions, and budget for our wedding. Heather was such a fantastic resource for me as a bride, she’s an expert on everything bridal in the area and could always point me in the right direction! The entire process was very overwhelming for me, but Heather made it a breeze. As we got closer to the wedding, both Heather and Lindsey were super helpful with the finishing details. They really thought of everything and helped take such a burden off of the bride, groom, and family, so we could kick back and enjoy. The day of the wedding, they were like fairy godmothers! Every detail, every cue was perfect. They made sure my glass was never empty and were never far away if we needed help. As I told them after the wedding, I never plan to get married again, but if I do, I’ll be back in a heartbeat!

My hubsand and I have lived in downtown Raleigh for 5+ years and knew we wanted to get married in the heart of Raleigh. We toured a few venues and liked MW the best. While I thought it was pretty and made for a beautiful venue, it wasn't until we started working with Sasha that I realized how lucky we we were with our decision.Sasha is a dream come true for any couple planning their wedding. From making the day of timeline, to her communication and facilitation of vendors, to her organization of google drive -- she is the reason I actually ENJOYED planning my wedding, rather than feeling completely stressed. The week leading up to the wedding, we had family in town and were busy with dinners and hosting. All my friends and family were shocked that I wasn't in the weeds of last minute wedding details. I realized then how at ease I felt going into the big day --- why?? SASHA! She knew every detail of the wedding better than I did. When the day came, I got to relax in the bridal suite with my friends, getting hair and make up done, while Sasha and Lucy talked with the vendors and turned MW into my dream wedding. The whole day was magical and turned out better than I could have ever imagined. If you want to get married in Raleigh, I can't recommend MW enough. Sign the contract and get Sasha as your wedding planner. The only downside is that I now want to do it over and over again :)

If you’re getting married at the MW, my strongest piece of advice is to get Heather as your wedding planner or coordinator. There are not enough words to describe what she did for us. She is the perfect combination of dedicated to your vision and comfortable using her experience with hundreds of weddings to help guide you to make your day a dream. She is kind, thoughtful, compassionate, professional, firm when she needs to be, and absolutely did it all to help our day go smoothly. We had to make last minute changes to our event because of weather, and other vendors were remarking to us that our event was so well executed they felt relaxed and able to focus on capturing our day and making it special. Heather made the whole day feel like a dream and we could not have done it without her. Additionally, we’d highly recommend asking Heather for recommendations for other vendors. She really knows who is the best and we are so grateful that we took her advice with who else to hire. We also can't imagine a better venue experience with the MW and especially Kendall. The team went above and beyond to make our wedding day experience perfect. We got married in a tropical storm and Kendall and her team pulled out all thee stops to make the MW house look beautiful and make our plan B feel better than a plan A. The team was constantly drying the house, floor, and setting up umbrellas and coverings to keep our guests dry and safe and we had numerous other vendors remark that it was increible how smoothly the day ran . Kendall worked with us to design a bar package that was of our dreams, including sourcing our favorite local beers that we specifically requested, which was no easy task! On the day of our wedding, Kendall and everyone at MW had our best interests at heart and were enthusiastic, positive, and professional.

I had my wedding at the Merrimon Wynne in April of 2023. It was a stunning day. I worked closely with Lucy and she helped make it the day of my dreams. The Merrimon Wynne was the first thing I picked in regards to my wedding and they even helped me find some other vendors. Lucy's kindness, attention to detail, and overall amazing personality helped the day run smoothly. I had EXTREME unexpected rain the day of my wedding and I thought it would have messed everything up but it didn't, Lucy and the MW were extremely prepared and worked efficiently with all the vendors I had. The pictures were also perfect. It's a beautiful venue inside and out.

The Merrimon-Wynne had always been my dream venue and after recently saying our I do's there, I can say that it did not disappoint. We used their in-house planning services, working with Sasha and Kendall, and it made the daunting task of planning a wedding SO easy. Sasha's expertise in every area, organizational skills, and rapport with vendors kept everything on schedule and running smoothly. Both she and Kendall are excellent at timely communications and are just all around nice people to work with!

We had our wedding here and used their In-House planning services and we cannot say enough how great the staff and venue are. We worked with Sasha and Kendall and the planning process could not have been easier. It was convenient to have a planner and coordinator who knew the ins and outs of the venue. The whole staff did a fantastic job putting everything together. They went above and beyond to ensure that all our needs were met throughout the whole process and on our big day. I did not have to worry about a thing. They are super friendly and accommodating that everything went super smoothly. The venue is gorgeous and classic and was the perfect backdrop to our intimate wedding. Every single one of our guests came up to us to gush about the venue and staff. We appreciate everything they did for us and would highly recommend them to anyone thinking of hosting their special day here.

Our daughter and son-in-law had their wedding at the Merrimon-Wynne House on 3/18/23. All our wedding dreams came true that day. We had a gorgeous, sunny day for the ceremony outside and a beautiful reception for 200 in the Carriage house. Everything exceeded our expectations and that day is one we will never forget. Heather Lawson and Sasha Buslovich were incredible as our wedding planner and in-house planner. Not only are they kind and fun to work with but both are meticulous about details. They were caring and attentive to our family and the wedding party. I cannot recommend them enough.

We cannot recommend The Merrimon-Wynne House for a wedding more. The character and history of the house is unmatched. The entire property is gorgeous! From the moment we toured the venue, the MW staff were so wonderful and genuinely fun to work with. For our big day we chose to use their in-house MW Planning and Design team, Heather and Sasha. They are the most amazing dynamic duo, that make planning a wedding completely stress-free. They were there to support us every step of the way and were such a blessing!Our wedding was everything we could have dreamed of and getting married at the MW House was an amazing experience. Guests still are telling us how much fun they had and how wonderful the venue and staff were.The MW House and their incredible team are the best. So, if you have a special event coming up look no further because The Merrimon-Wynne House is perfect!

The Merrimon-Wynne House was the most amazing wedding venue, I couldn’t have dreamed of a better venue for our October wedding. We loved that we could celebrate all of our events on our big day at the Merrimon – we had a beautiful ceremony out on the lawn, our cocktail hour in the main house and then our reception in the gorgeous carriage house. You can’t beat the location – right downtown Raleigh, walking distance from a lot of hotels and there is ample free parking (which is rare for downtown Raleigh!) Sasha and the Merrimon Wynne staff were so easy to work with and made sure our day was absolutely perfect. Throughout the entire planning process, Sasha was so responsive, professional and helpful. Two weeks before the wedding, we found out that there was going to be a 5K the morning of the wedding that blocked off all surrounding streets – making it difficult for the bridal party, hair and make up and other vendors to get in. Sasha worked to help determine new routes, and kept us updated on when the roads were reopening - she put me at ease throughout the whole situation and throughout the entire day! We are so thankful for Sasha and the Merrimon Wynne Team – thanks to them and all our vendors, our day was absolutely perfect. We can not recommend the Merrimon Wynne enough!

I had been eyeing the Merrimon-Wynne even prior to getting engaged, and I can safely say having our wedding there exceeded all of our hopes and expectations! MW has excellent indoor and outdoor space, providing so many options for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. So many of our guests complimented us on how gorgeous the venue was! Plus, the location can't be beat -- being right in downtown Raleigh made getting around that much easier, particularly for our friends and family from out of town. Finally, the staff are incredible! Abby was an absolute delight to work with -- through postponing our larger wedding to 2021 and then putting together an intimate minimony in 2020, she and the rest of the MW staff showed nothing but patience, kindness, flexibility, and professionalism. Both days were an absolute DREAM and I could not recommend getting married at the MW more!

My husband and I had a wonderful experience getting married at Merrimon-Wynne. The venue is gorgeous and has a wonderful mix of indoor and outdoor space. Many of our guests let us know how glad they were that they could go outside during the reception if they wanted to. We were also in wonderful hands with Mary and the team there - we had plenty of support leading up to the wedding day and on the day of, and like some other reviewers said we felt like we didn't have to lift a finger the entire day. Highly recommend!

We had our dream wedding at Merrimon Wynne 2-26-22 and it was nothing short of magical. It had been a stressful week leading up to it with a change in our photographer as well as a snowstorm cancelling almost half of our guests flights but Abby & the MW team made sure our day was beyond perfect. We didn't have to lift a finger all day! The venue itself is so beautiful that every guest came up to us to compliment some detail. Tenting the lawn with a clear top tent was also a dream come true and allowed us to utilize each space MW had to offer. I cannot imagine getting married anywhere else and will forever love our day at Merrimon-Wynne!

Merrimon-Wynne was the venue of my dreams! My husband and I booked this venue pretty much immediately after seeing it. It is so incredibly beautiful, well maintained, and offers many different spaces and options for your big day. It is also relatively affordable since they include many things that you normally would have to get from a rental company.I want to give a specific shout out to Sasha Buslovich. Sasha was our wedding coordinator for Merrimon-Wynne and she went above and beyond to cater to our every need. She was very quick with communication, super organized, and always made us feel comfortable. She really made my day complete and was honestly my rock throughout the whole process! I cannot recommend her enough as your coordinator.

When looking for a wedding venue, you want to find a place that will exceed your expectations and the Merrimon Wynne House certainly did on not only one, but two occasions. The venue is kept at such a high standard and you never have to worry about an inch of it looking less than perfect on your wedding day. All staff was so accommodating to our requests and made sure that our days were nothing short of perfect. Abby, in particular, was such a joy and constantly checked in on us to make sure we were set with everything we needed. This is such a special place and we couldn't have been happier to select it as our wedding venue.

The Merrimon-Wynne House was absolutely perfect. Tucked away behind lush and beautiful greenery, it feels as though you are in your own world while also holding the benefit of being minutes from downtown Raleigh. We had our ceremony on the lawn and the reception in the carriage house and both were perfect. Sasha was our on-site coordinator and her team did a tremendous job ensuring we had everything we needed all day long. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a charming and historic venue!

When COVID hit and we ended up having to postpone our wedding not once but TWICE, I thought many times that I had to be one of the unluckiest brides. By the time I finally had my wedding day, though, I felt nothing but fortunate...if our original date hadn't been canceled and we hadn't needed to find a new venue, we never would have ended up with Merrimon-Wynne, and I feel so lucky that we did. MW House is gorgeous and there were so many wedding guests that told me it was the most beautiful wedding venue they'd ever been to. I worked closely with Sasha, who helped make sure everything was in order in the months and weeks leading up to the big day, and she was an absolute pleasure to work with. So down to earth and helpful and accommodating. I can't say enough good things about her. Our day really was everything I hoped it to be and exceeded expectations and I know that if not for MW, I likely would not have felt that way. Book them!

This is the most beautiful, whimsical and elegant venue. It was everything I wanted and more. From the white walls, to the crystal chandeliers, to the shabby chic bridal suite, MWH is a one-stop-shop with each space more beautiful than the next. Kaila was so warm and welcoming from the second I stepped on the property. I do have to give a HUGE shout-out to Lucy, who was my venue contact. She went above and beyond for me and my wedding. I probably asked her to send me 50 different bar package proposals and she always responded right away with the most cheerful disposition. She even handwrote the last few sentences of my vows because her printer wouldn't print it all on the card she made for me for the ceremony. She is literally the best!!! My family and bridal party LOVED her and we made her an honorary bridesmaid! Lol. In all seriousness, there isn't any other place in the world that I would've wanted to say, \"I Do\" in. Thank you Lucy and MWH for the everlasting memories! We miss you Lucy!!!!

The Merrimon-Wynne is a dream venue - even in the midst of a pandemic. We locked in our date just a few days after our engagement in December 2019. When it was clear we needed to push our wedding date from June to a later date, Kaila (and our amazing planner, Amanda Blair by Design) was on top of it. She presented us with our options, and we ultimately locked in August 7th. At the time, we were hopeful that our original plan of having a ceremony and reception would still be able to take place. In the weeks leading up to August 7th, we were at the mercy of the Governor's mandates, and ended up keeping the date for our ceremony (the best part!!) and pushing our reception to June 6, 2021. The Merrimon-Wynne was extremely communicative and gracious as our plans shifted again. I think the most important thing to convey about our experience with the Merrimon-Wynne though was that our wedding day could not have gone any smoother or been any more perfect. In the midst of a pandemic, Haleigh and the team gave us a day that I'd change zero things about. Coupled with the planning of ABBD, the Merrimon-Wynne made me forget about the fears of the world as I prepared for and ultimately said \"I do\" to my person on August 7th. We are excited to get to return next year to celebrate, but, for now, we are still on cloud nine after our wedding at the Merrimon-Wynne.

The Merrimon-Wynne House presents itself as an elegant venue that is cooperative, compassionate andsupportive in its provision of location and services for wedding parties. Unfortunately, this is not theexperience I have to share.I began planning my June 2020 wedding in the Fall of 2019. I selected and contracted with theMerrimon-Wynne House as the venue for up to 200 guests, despite its above market costs.At the time the Force Majeure clause in their contract was not concerning. I was extremely confident ofthe date chosen and did not foresee any familial reasons why the date would need to be moved orcancelled.THEN the COVID 19 pandemic hit and the world as we knew it change completely. The opportunity tohold a June wedding celebration in an entertainment venue with any more than 25 people inattendance, inclusive of service personnel was legally forbidden. Additionally, there is no clear path as towhen an event of such size will ever be allowed to occur in NC.My fiancé and I made the decision to get married on the chosen date and not to have the pandemicdelay our desire to move forward with our lives together. Moving the date forward several months to ayear forward was not an appealing option. We were marrying because of our love for each other, andthe desire to support each other in good times and bad, not solely to have big party.All the wedding vendors we had been working with were more than happy to help us to adjust ourorders and planned spend to meet the new wedding plans that had to legally be downsized to a churchgarden wedding and a backyard reception. ALL expect Merrimon – Wynne House who remainedrighteous about their Force Majeure contract clause and were unwilling to refund any of the LARGEpayment made to use the facilities that would never be utilized. Their only recourse was to re-schedulethe event to a future date, another risky decision. By the way, the other vendors also had change andcancellation clauses that they gratefully adjusted to better fit the new pandemic economy.Merimon-Wynne’s stance is that they are unable to provide any refunds because of the “hardships theyare facing to due the material challenges and catastrophic changes due to the pandemic”. Welcome tothe club…we are all making major adjustments due to the changing world and lost income. Thecompassionate, ethical and moral response from Merrimon - Wynne would have been to negotiate asharing of the monetary burden of the prepaid venue services fees. Just like the venue we are allmaking accommodations for a lagging economy. The ability to fund a wedding event on the appointedday and then do something again at a future date is not an economical feasible solution.So beware, this sheep has fangs like a wolf. They are running a ruthless, shameful business. I wouldredline their contract to the fullest and minimize any upfront payments. Transacting with them is riskybusiness.

We originally chose the Merrimon Wynne as our wedding venue because it is absolutely stunning. I loved how light, airy, and clean the entire venue looks. I was particularly drawn to the \"getting ready rooms\" for the bride and groom. Little did I know, the Merrimon Wynne is not only beautiful but their staff is amazing as well. Abby was our coordinator and she was very flexible making sure our day was perfect. She worked with us to get us the bar menu we wanted, the decor we wanted, etc. Between Abby and our wedding planner everything was taken care of all day long. We never had to worry about anything. Abby even made sure we had a fresh drink in our hands at all times. It's really that attention to detail that makes the difference. I highly recommend the Merrimon Wynne. You definitely won't regret it!

I fell in love with the MW House as soon as we toured it, and I knew I wanted to have our reception there. Not only is the house itself classic and elegant, but working with Abby made the day seamless and easy! I love all of the different spaces on the property, and I'm so glad we were able to use them all. The main house is a perfect setting for cocktail hour, and we had our reception in the carriage house. The bridal suite and groomsmen suite were beautiful and made for some amazing getting ready pictures. The lighting in the bridal suite is unreal, I felt like a model! We had our ceremony at a different location, but this allowed us to use the lawn for our first look and photos, which turned out great. The MW house is so naturally beautiful, we did not have to do a lot of decorating. Also, we got married in December, and used the Christmas decorations they had up, which were so nice! Abby and the rest of the staff were professional and so sweet. She helped us so much both on the wedding day and the months leading up to it. Our wedding day was perfect, and I can't imagine a better reception venue than the MW house!!

Getting married is supposed to be this magical fairytale of a time for everyone, what they don’t tell you is how hard and how much work it is to make a vision come to life. There were two decisions that didn’t take any thought – first was this venue. Fast forward to signing the dotted line. The MW House is like THE wedding venue in Raleigh, so they’re booked crazy far in advance, but they were flexible with me in that they give you a bit of time to “hold” a date before you cough over the funds. That’s huge in making sure any other “must have” vendors or guests/friends/family can make that date work. Because of this, I got a date I was super happy with and just has a nice ring to it. 11.23.19. The best day ever. Fast forward again to planning time, I had a few requests that the MW was able to accommodate, ie earlier start times, vendors not on their recommended list, alcohol selections, you name it. I wouldn’t say I was a bridezilla, but I definitely had high expectations and wanted everything to go the way that I envisioned it. For all the requests, there were reasonable accommodations made to the best of their ability that I was incredibly happy with. Now here is where MW differs from everyone else (at least I’m guessing they do). Timeline as follows,Day before the wedding: my bar check bounced because I am an idiot, my MW contact, Abby, literally drove TO MY HOUSE, to come get a new check from me so that I didn’t have to squeeze that in the day before.Day of wedding: I ALWAYS had a drink in my hand (that they asked me ahead of time to ensure it was the right one), food was brought out for my fiancé and I so we didn’t have to stand in lines and could eat and start greeting guests asap and someone always had an eye out for us to offer any help needed.Post wedding (and arguably the biggest and most important thing that I think puts the MW House, and specifically Abby, apart from everyone else): My mother had gifted me a pair of diamond earrings that she had owned for 15 years. I had already bought earrings to coordinate with my dress, but these were my mother’s diamonds so I couldn’t decide on if they were what I should wear that day, so to be safe I brought both. Like a complete idiot, after deciding to wear the original earrings, I didn’t put the diamonds back in my bag, I just left them out. I realized I didn’t have them late that night, came back to the MW the next day and dug through trash, texted every vendor and was truly devastated. Here I was, supposed to be in wedding bliss and it had literally turned my weekend into a nightmare. Abby went back AND DUG THROUGH THE DUMPSTER, and found them. Please tell me a coordinator who cares so much – they are few and far between, I’d guess. I could tell you all of the beautiful things about the MW House, but you know them – the location, perfect; the upkeep of the home, perfect; everything you look for in the vibe of a wedding, the MW nails – but what really separates them from the pack, is their customer service, attention to detail and overall professionalism. To the MW House Team – thank you for making this the best day of my life, and for everything you have done for Bobby and myself over the last year and a half of planning. I will never forget this day. Also, Abby deserves a raise 😉

I had dreamed of getting married here for years so when we got engaged, we knew exactly where we were having the wedding! This venue is absolutely stunning inside and out. Every time I went here for a walk through or bridal portraits, I fell in love with this house more. Abby was extremely helpful throughout the entire process and answered all of my questions without delay! Abby and the Merrimon-Wynne staff made our wedding day dreams come true! The Merrimon-Wynne House and team are a DREAM. The house is stunning and provides so many spaces to have a full wedding all in one location while changing up the scenery. We got ready upstairs in the beautiful bridal and groom suites, had a wonderful ceremony on the lawn, hosted a cocktail hour inside the house, and then danced the night away with a reception inside the carriage house and ice cream on the lawn. The ability to flow between spaces was a huge positive for us so that our guests could mingle the whole time without having to change venues. The house is beautiful and simple to begin with so you can really make it your own with decorations. We're so thankful they had big lawn umbrellas as well as person umbrellas so that we were still able to have our ceremony outside despite the sprinkling rain! We got so many compliments about the venue and how people were able to mingle outside during the reception as well. It really made our wedding feel so intimate with 150 people! Kaila was an amazing coordinator. I never had to worry about organizing the vendors or if I was forgetting something. She always had me covered! The Merrimon-Wynne house is perfect and the team is incredibly professional! I highly recommend checking them out when looking for an all-in-one venue!

If the sheer beauty of this venue is not enough, everyone who works there makes planning so very easy. We worked with Abby through our wedding planning and she was so patient with many questions we had along the way and quickly responded to any of our inquiries. She did so much work behind the scenes communicating with the band and other vendors. I was so confident that the wedding day would be fabulous given the incredible support staff and advice given along the way. The house with it's expansive windows and porches, the carriage house and lawn ooze southern charm and I fell in love with the site when I first saw it. You could add very little to the venue and it still would be beautiful. If I could do it all again, I would not change a thing!

My husband and I got married here on June 14th 2019. The Merrimon-Wynne was the most incredible venue for our wedding day. We worked with Kaila Anderson as our venue representative throughout our entire wedding planning process, from the first tour we took at the Merrimon-Wynne all the way to our wedding day. Kaila is incredibly professional, helpful, answers emails insanely fast and was there to support us and help us with our every need throughout the entire process and down to the last minute of our wedding day! Definitely request to work with Kaila!! The Merrimon Wynne house itself is absolutely stunning. The bridal preparation suite was beautiful and filled with complementary champagne and sodas on arrival. The set up is perfect for a large bridal party with plenty of room to change, eat and hang out. The grooms suite was filled with beer and soda on arrival—which the groomsmen really appreciated! One of my favorite things is the fact that the lawn is perfect year round—it looks absolutely incredible in pictures!! The air conditioned reception space is a huge plus— Especially in the summer months!! Trust me, you and your guests comfort is worth the price. Overall we had the best day ever and would do it all over again at the Merrimon-Wynne House!!

I had my heart set on the Merrimon-Wynne House shortly after I got engaged in March 2018. My husband and I were lucky enough to snag a June 2019 date when we went for a tour which was a perfect date for both of us and our families. We were just married 2 weeks ago and I cannot put into words how perfect the entire day was. Kaila was my day-of planner and coordinator. She also helped to organize everything several weeks ahead of time (including things I hadn't even thought of!). I cannot thank Kaila and the entire Merrimon-Wynne team enough for making our day so special and so smooth and stress-free. Not only that, but they made us feel so special throughout the entire day. The house itself is stunning in every room and truly feels like you are in a fairytale all day while getting ready and throughout the night. I also received (and still am receiving) compliments not only on how beautiful the venue was, but how courteous and helpful the staff was throughout our day there. The Merrimon-Wynne house and staff are truly a wonderful venue and group to work with for such a special day.

The Merrimon-Wynne House provided the most beautiful space for our most perfect day! From the time we first visited, to our exit as husband and wife on our big day, Amy was there to make sure our journey was smooth. We had our ceremony on the lawn, cocktail hour in the house and reception in the carriage house and we could not have asked for better accommodations. The bridal suite for getting ready was comfortable and gorgeous, while the men stayed comfortable and entertained in the groom’s suite. Our guests experienced first class service during cocktail hour and the reception, and our photos and videos couldn’t be better with the house as the backdrop! The Merrimon-Wynne is a beautiful piece of Raleigh history with amazing staff and I would highly recommend them!!

Oh the sweet Merrimon-Wynne house! There is truly nothing like it. When it came to wedding planning, we just knew this was the place for us long before even stepping foot inside! The Merrimon-Wynne House is truly everything southern, traditional, and beautiful wrapped up in the prettiest bow. From getting ready all day with my best girls and Austin with his best guys to being introduced into the Carriage House for the first time as Mr. and Mrs - it was all such a magical experience. We loved all of the options that we had here. We loved that our guests got to explore the beauty of the home and spill out onto the lawn for cornhole and lawn games during cocktail hour. Then, getting to dine and dance the night away with all of our favorite people in the world in the gorgeous Carriage House is an image and feeling I will forever have in my heart!Abby was so helpful leading up to our big day and was such a sweet and calming presence during our wedding day. She was always checking in to see how we were doing and to make sure we had a drink in our hand. The entire team is so professional and treated us with such kindness. The Merrimon-Wynne house is full of weddings every day of pretty much every weekend of the year, and yet they truly made us feel as if we were the only bride and groom in the world.We couldn't recommend them more and we are forever grateful for this place for making our first day as husband and wife as beautiful and as special as it could possibly have been!

With the looming hurricane coming, Jodi personally called my fiance and I to reassure that everything was going to be okay and ask if we needed anything. They were so helpful from the first time we toured until the time we left after our wedding reception. The property itself is so stunning and so versatile for any style. My guests raved about how gorgeous the house and carriage house were all night long. We could not have imagined getting married anywhere else! HIGHLY HIGHLY Recommend!!!

I grew up in Historic Oakwood, in 2 restored Victorian home, so being able to have my wedding at Merrimon Wynne was a dream come true for me. The venue itself is absolutely flawless. The lighting everywhere is phenomenal, you can get ready on site and have the venue for the whole day (10A-11P), and the staff is remarkable. I loved that their contingency plan for a rained out wedding was not \"oh you just have your guests sit at their tables in the reception area!\" Their preferred vendors will set up a ceremony, as you would have had it outside, in the carriage house, and then flip the space for the reception during cocktail hour. The venue is right on point for prices for downtown Raleigh venues, except MW includes so much in that price. You have the venue all day, they include cocktail tables, banquet tables, and chairs for you. They also provide some complementary drinks/snacks for your bridal party while you're getting ready! I cannot say enough positive things about Merrimon Wynne and their staff. They are truly incredible and they made our wedding perfect.

I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say that the Merrimon-Wynne is the perfect wedding venue. You can get ready, take photos, and have your ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, all in the same beautiful place! Both my husband and I grew up in Raleigh, and we can truthfully say that the Merrimon-Wynne is one of our favorite places in the entire city. The house is absolutely gorgeous and impeccably decorated. The landscaping looks amazing, not to mention the \"astroturf\" lawn, which looks so real but makes a rainy wedding day (like ours!) not a problem! And the carriage house is just perfect for dinner and dancing. I kept joking that I wanted to move in after our wedding! The light is beautiful no matter where you are on the property, and the staff is incredibly professional and communicative throughout the process. I hope I'll get to host another event here someday!

We used the carriage house for the ceremony and dancing, the house for cocktail hour and the lawn for dinner. And, we were able to stay in the house for the entire day of the wedding - a huge plus! Kaila was a wonderful coordinator - she was responsive to our questions and was a gracious hostess throughout the planning process. Highly recommend!

My husband and I got married at The Merrimon Wynne on June 9th and it was the PERFECT venue! We live out of state, so when we got engaged I had my parents tour the venue with Kaila. My mum said the minute she walked in, she knew it was exactly what I wanted. We booked it sight unseen (except seeing it whilst FaceTiming with my parents), and it was the best decision we made for our wedding day. The house is so beautiful and elegant with gorgeous chandeliers and fireplaces. The Merrimon Wynne now has two beautiful white bars that can be placed inside the main house, carriage house, or outside. They also provide lawn games if you choose to use them, and our guests (especially those who aren’t big on dancing) loved being able to spend time outside playing them during the reception once it cooled down. Our ceremony took place on the lawn, which has artificial grass and perfect for heels! The venue is so stunning on its own that we chose to do simple touches and got so many compliments from guests about everything. Kaila was absolutely amazing to work with! She was always quick to respond to emails and answer any questions we had. Kaila was there the day of the wedding to help with anything we needed and we were so appreciate of her! We had the wedding of our dreams at The Merrimon Wynne!

I don't even know where to begin with reviewing The Merrimon Wynne House and its exceptional team. My husband and I got married here in September 2017 and our wedding exceeded all of our expectations and was honestly the stuff of dreams. While we lucked out with great weather and had a stellar group of vendors and a top notch planner, so much credit goes to the incredible ladies at MW for the seamless execution of every single detail. If you don't want to worry about logistics on your wedding day or during the months of planning beforehand, this venue is for you. Besides the venue itself being absolutely stunning, Amy and Kaila and the rest of the staff are so organized, responsive, accommodating and upfront about everything that it made planning our wedding from California so much easier and less stressful than it otherwise could have been. While they are running a business, these ladies are so passionate about weddings and making sure that your big day is exactly as you've envisioned that you never feel like you're one of many. We booked our date with them more than a year in advance and for the duration of our wedding planning process they entertained my countless questions and paranoid e-mails with so much kindness and professionalism when they could have easily told me to pipe down. They also have excellent relationships with all of the big wedding vendors in town that it made coordination so much easier. They were also incredibly helpful in recommending vendors which was a huge help seeing as we didn't know anyone/anything about Raleigh vendors. When something relating to the bar package didn't meet our expectations they were so genuinely concerned with making sure that we were happy that they went above and beyond with correcting the issue and in the end our bar was perfection! As for the wedding day itself, you're so often told that something WILL go wrong on your big day and to just accept that inevitability but if anything did end up going wrong I certainly didn't know about it because those are the kinds of passionate wedding industry professionals they are, they will do everything to make sure your day is perfect. Our wedding guests came in from all over the country and world and eight months later, we still hear from them about how incredible our wedding was. There are some pretty venues in Raleigh but Merrimon Wynne is simply a stunner and their team is unmatched in town. I could go on and on but we will forever be grateful that we chose to get married here and surely you will to!

I can't say enough positive words about the Merrimon-Wynne house. Our wedding was absolutely perfect. The staff was wonderful. I did not feel the need for extravagant decor as the house, carriage house and lawn are beautiful in their own right. We had several people tell us it was the best executed wedding they've ever been to! The few negatives to using this venue are: they include very little in the venue rental. We had to organize all of our own vendors, which was stressful at times. The venue also stays booked up, so we had some trouble scheduling our rehearsal the day before due to another event. Regardless...everything ended up falling together perfectly. I am still daydreaming about our wedding day, thanks to the Merrimon-Wynne house. Highly recommend!!!!!

The day began for me in the bridal suite, which provides the best room in Raleigh to get ready in. It was so fun to be in the house and watch the vendors work their magic for my event all day. The bridal suite has great lighting for makeup and pictures as well as plenty of space to allow everyone to get ready in. As guests arrived, we had them walk through the main house to get to the ceremony which took place in the carriage house. The beautiful and romantic interior of the house helped to set the tone for our ceremony. We had cocktail hour back in the house while the carriage house was flipped for the band and dancing. On the lawn there was a giant tent with twinkle lights for dinner. I loved that our guest got to see every inch of MW! It is truly a wonderful venue and has so much potential to create your most magical day!

This is by far the top wedding venue in the triangle area! After searching multiple venues I came across Merrimon-Wynne House and am so happy that I did. From the responsive and knowledgeable staff to the ground keepers and little details of the house, my wedding day felt flawless and I received multiple compliments from guests that this venue was one of the best. Highly highly recommend Merrimon-Wynne House for your wedding venue!!

I cannot believe it has taken almost a year for me to write a review, but it is better late than never. My husband, Seth and I got married last May at the gorgeous Merrimon-Wynne in the heart of Raleigh. When Merrimon-Wynne first opened, we knew it was the venue we wanted to use to get married. It certainly did not disappoint! From the beautiful house and yard to the amazing staff, it made our wedding day perfect. Kaila and Amy were the primary contacts for us and they were very knowledgeable and always willing to answer my endless questions. Our guests were blown away by the Southern charm and elegance at the Merrimon-Wynne. We were one of the first weddings to use the carriage house. It beautifully compliments the architecture and beauty of the main house. As the bride, one of my most favorite parts of the wedding day was getting ready in the bridal suite. The whole wedding day felt like a dream and my husband and I give credit to the staff and the most perfect wedding venue, the Merrimon-Wynne.

Jodi, Kaila, and Amy made an already fabulous day even more incredible. Even before Merrimon-Wynne opened for business, I knew I wanted to have my reception there. When the time came to actually plan the event, I was blown away by how accommodating the MWH team was. They were available for questions, walk-throughs, recommendations - whatever I needed, they were happy to provide it. On the day of the wedding, my bridesmaids and I were treated to coffee, champagne, and breakfast treats while we got ready - an unexpected but greatly appreciated extra touch. I continue to hear from guests just how beautiful Merrimon-Wynne looked during the reception and what a perfect location it was. I could not have dreamed a better venue.

The Merrimon Wynne House is such a beautiful and elegant house, from the floor to ceiling windows, elegant yet not over the top chandeliers, and restored old fire places. This is the perfect venue to create your own unique space for your wedding. The team at Merrimon Wynne did an amazing job restoring the venue in a neutral palette so that when you bring in your look, and style for your wedding it easily blends with the house. \r\rI was one of the lucky first few to have my wedding at Merrimon Wynne, while touring it it still did not have plumbing, electricity, or even wall boards. While my fiancé thought I was a little crazy, I could see the vision of what this house would become. \r\rWe had our ceremony and cocktail hour on the lawn, and then headed inside for a 200 person dinner inside the house! This was the first for the venue, but they were open to this new idea, and welcomed the challenge. The dinner felt like an intimate dinner in a beautiful old house, filled with family and friends. It was very intimate and guests loved it! We were announced to our guests and walked down the beautiful rounded original staircase. We then moved to the outside tent for dancing and drinks! My favorite part about this was each space could be a different look and feel as the guests moved from space to space, linens changed, arrangements differed. Staying in the same feel of my 1920's inspired wedding, but it opened up variety to the decor and kept the guests excited as they moved from ceremony, to cocktails, to dinner, to dance floor all in one venue! No travel time was among many things guests raved about. \r\rWhile the wedding was perfect in every way one of my favorite things about Merrimon Wynne House was getting ready in the bridal room. This room alone is a reason to book your wedding here. Light tiffany blue walls with modern antique furniture, it is a space perfect to step into your dream wedding dress. They allowed us to come in at 8:30am with the make up and hair team, we had food catered for the bridemaids. Mimosas were provided by Merrimon Wynne. It was the most amazing place to get ready with your best friends before you walk down the aisle. Once again it took the stress out of going to multiple places on your wedding. \r\rKaila and Jodi, the team at Merrimon Wynne, are great to work with, as I planned the wedding myself, they were there to answer any questions I had via email. They took the time to meet with me walk through the tent, ceremony, and inside house dinner layouts in multiple meetings. Their customer service for my bridal portraits at the house was impeccable making me and my mother feel like the most important people in the world. \r\rI could go on and on about how amazing this venue is, but to truly to experience the beauty and elegance you have to see it in person. It doesn't feel like a stuffy old plantation home, but instead an elegant modern historic home.

We were lucky and found the MW House before it was opened to the public! It was under construction when we booked it, but we could see the potential. The house is amazing! We had our ceremony outside in the lawn facing away from the house, then we had the reception inside. It was a wonderful experience! It was fun getting ready in the house all morning. KAILA is wonderful!! She helped so much through the process and I highly recommend this venue because of her!
