The Milana Ballroom at the Amish Door Village Reviews
Jessica Spence(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 03-09-2022 Exactly what I was looking for when I was planning my wedding (a small celebration of approximately50) ! I chose to have my ceremony outside at the gazebo and the reception (simple catered dinner) inside the inn in the Orchard View room. Denise was very patient when dealing with me as my work schedule isn't the easiest for communication and was wonderful helping to get everything together on our big day. The restaurant catered my reception and everyone loved the food! One entree we chose was ham and honestly it was the best! Many guests complemented on the food as well as the atmosphere of the inn. The bridal suite had everything we needed to get ready. I'm only giving 4 stars because one big down side was not having an area for the guys to get ready, however I ended up booking a queen deluxe suite for them and let one of my guests use the room that night. The honeymoon suite was beautiful, as was the entire inn! Very clean and breakfast was really good as well! I do plan to visit the inn again in the future! Reviewed on 20-10-2022
Meghan Frabell(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 25-06-2022 The Amish Door handled most of our wedding day, through their gorgeous venue, the inn accommodations, catering, and bakery. We had our rehearsal dinner the night before and were very kind to us through the wedding weekend. They provided linens and all the cutlery. I personally wasn't a fan of their chairs so I got the chiavari chairs brought in which was no problem. The food was good, they handled the tastings for everything well, I wouldn't say it was the best food I've ever had at a wedding but it was still really nice, I was just happy to have everything on site. The less moving parts you can have, the better it goes. Denise was our coordinator and she is super nice and will answer any questions you have, she was a great support throughout the whole process. Everything ran smoothly and my wedding was super nice, they have a beautiful bridal suite to get ready, let us set up stuff a bit the night before, since they had no wedding booked that night. I honestly think the Amish Door is a slept on venue, it is gorgeous. The only thing that I am giving it 4 stars for is just one thing of miscommunication. My event proposal said I had the venue until 11:00 pm, but on the day of after 10 pm, they told me we were supposed to be out by 10pm. They did let us stay till 10:30, but it was rather abrupt. I went back and checked my contract and it said we had it till then, so my reception getting cut short kind of sucked. The DJ had to play the last song right then and it was a really anticlimactic end to the night. I had paid my other vendors to be there until 11pm and so I lost out on an hours worth of pay on some people. The only other thing that bothered me was that there was a particularly rude non-Amish young lady working at the front desk at the inn who seemed very annoyed that we were there and a few of my guests said she had given them a hard time. My problem is, if give that much money to a business and book out the inn when they are trying to grow their venue and book more weddings, I just figured we would be treated with a bit more respect. But those were only a few people and it didn't ruin anything, we received lots of compliments about Erma who works at the inn though!!!! I just want to be truthful to the entire experience of spending the weekend there. I had been at the inn other times and never had an issue with any staff so it could just be someone in a sour mood. The venue is gorgeous, scenic, majority of the staff were helpful and accommodating, Denise is a great coordinator, the rooms were clean and well taken care of, the honeymoon suite is beautiful, and everything else was picture perfect. I would recommend it to anyone! Reviewed on 13-08-2022
Alivia Karam(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 17-10-2020 We could not have been happier with choosing the Amish Door as our wedding venue. Jerrod and Denise were amazing to work with, and made our special day run as smooth as possible. They accommodated everything we asked for, and answered each one of our million questions. The day started by getting ready in the spacious bridal suite, that is brand new. It had excellent lighting, and plenty of room for 10 girls to get ready. The food was absolutely delicious, and the venue in the fall was absolutely breathtaking. The main reason we picked the Amish Door was that we were able to have the wedding, the reception, AND the hotel all at one location. This allowed all of our family and friends, whether they were local or not, to take part in our special day. We could not have asked for a better venue, or better people to work with.
