The Millstad Center is a wedding venue located in Joppa, MD, just 30 minutes outside Baltimore. The property's rich history dates back to the late 1600s. Over the centuries, it has been home to an estate, a working farm, and a schoolhouse. Since then, it has been thoughtfully restored as a beautiful event venue surrounded by 40 lush acres. When celebrating at The Millstad Center, couples can entertain up to 220 loved ones in the Great Hall. At approximately 2,400 square feet, this event space offers ample room for dining, dancing, and creating lifelong memories. The interior echoes the setting's fascinating past through its original stone walls, allowing couples and their guests to become a part of the building's extensive history. Chandeliers crafted from wagon wheels add a touch of rustic charm to the venue's bucolic ambience. For the comfort of those attending milestone occasions, the Great Hall can be accessed via an electric lift. Adjacent to the space is an open-air patio where ceremonies, cocktail hours, and receptions can also occur. We LOVE the Millstad!!!! I cannot say enough good things about this venue!!!! The space itself is so beautiful, rustic, and simple - exactly what we wanted! The weather was perfect for our wedding so we utilized both the patio and inside spaces for the whole reception. We even had cornhole boards set up next to the patio on the lawn which were a huge hit! We utilized the property in the morning as well while we were getting ready. Girls used the bridal suite and guys used a cabin on the property which allowed our photographer to seamlessly go back and forth to take getting ready pictures! The surrounding woods were great for our pictures during the cocktail hour, as well. :) Can't say enough amazing things about this place!!!

The Millstad created the perfect backdrop for our winter wedding! Aside from the beautiful historic stone mill, the wagon wheel lights, and the picturesque grounds, the interactions with the Millstad's event professionals created an all-around perfect wedding day experience! From beginning to end, Chastity and Krystin were accommodating, communicative, and extremely helpful–offering their expertise and guidance all along the way. I couldn't recommend this venue more!
