The Mitchell House is a charming wedding mansion-style wedding venue in Dadeville, AL. This luxury home is surrounded by lush woodland trees and exudes an air of enchantment, ideal for a special milestone celebration. In 2011, the current owner Vivian Autry was on the hunt for her daughter's ideal wedding venue close to their home at Lake Martin. The entire family fell head-over-heels in love with the property and, in June 2019, returned to purchase it. Today, its doors are wide open for you to come in and enjoy this majestic setting for your big day. When you and your wedding party arrive at The Mitchell House, you’ll have all the time you need to prepare in the privacy of your own get-ready rooms. Equipped with everything from salon-style chairs, vanities, mirrors, and more, the beginning of your day will feel super luxurious. Once it’s time to get the celebration underway, you can make your grand entrance and greet guests outside. For your ceremony, the gardens around the mansion are truly beautiful; especially the 100-year-old Ginkgo tree that adds a sense of enchantment to the setting. Here, you’ll find a white gazebo tent, perfect for shade, and comes with its own electrical outlets for convenience. You could opt to host your reception outside or head into the mansion’s banquet room, which can seat up to 50 people. The Mitchell House offers various benefits and services when you choose to book it for your wedding destination. I recently got married at this venue, and it was everything that I hoped for. The house itself is beautiful. Vivian was wonderful to work with, and she offered so much help regarding anything you need for a wedding. She made sure that tables and chairs were set up the day before the wedding, and had the area cleaned as well. The tent for the reception was perfect, she had fans set up incase it got to hot due to the Alabama heat. The bridal suite was absolutely breathtaking, it was set up with multiple mirrors and hair dresser chairs to help get ready in. We got married in front of the gazebo, and we were able to decorate it how we wanted. 10/10 would recommend this venue to anyone.

I thought finding a venue was going to be so difficult. Being from Alabama, I was not looking to have the traditional church or barn venue. We came across the Mitchell House and absolutely fell in love with the old historic house theme. We were able to access every room and could use decor they had available in their storage room. The house and bedrooms are already decorated beautifully but we were welcome to bring in our own decorations. This was the perfect day for us and I was so happy we did not have to go back and forth to multiple places. Even had our after rehearsal there. We used the upstairs bedrooms to have our “get ready”. Each side was designed for each wedding party with its own bathroom. Plenty of space for all of us. We had our ceremony take place outside in front of the house, food inside, cake in the piano room(my fav room), and the reception outside. There was also seating inside for guests who preferred a quieter setting while we danced the night away outside under the spacious canopy. We also were able to bring in all outside vendors without being restricted to specific ones. Huge plus! Mrs. Vivian was wonderful to work with and we communicated constantly to make sure everything went perfectly. I highly recommend The Mitchell House for your wedding venue. Holly Bailey

The Mitchell House was the perfect venue for our wedding. From the beautiful swing under the Ginko tree to the incredible, historic details, this venue made for the most perfect day! The sweet owners also went well beyond what they had to, do to make our wedding day the beautiful day it was.

The Mitchell House was the perfect venue for our October wedding and rehearsal dinner! The setting is beautiful and the house is a hidden gem in the heart of Dadeville. You can't beat the quality of this venue for its value anywhere in the surrounding area.
