Romantic ruins have been revived. Rich in Cincinnati history and tradition, this beautiful, classic building originally housed the Cincinnati Observatory; thereafter the Holy Cross Monastery. The Monastery opened in May 2016 as a premiere venue for special events and weddings. Our memorable building, exquisite courtyard, and beautifully landscaped grounds offer the perfect location for your event. The scenic views and delightful neighborhood are captivating. They made the whole process absolutely painless and magical!! From even before we toured up until week of, Trevor was so helpful in answering literally every question I had (which was many). They were also able to accommodate my husband's military schedule and host our tasting earlier than usual. We did have to book really far out, and with the military, we had no clue if it would work out, but we were so glad it did. Everything is a well-oiled machine there, and there were moments I would think of something, and they already had it covered. Then, working with Kris week of, she handled things before I was even aware of them needing to be handled! The day flowed by perfectly, and anything we could've needed was provided. No joke, I couldn't have imagined a more perfect day, and the Monastery staff was a large part of that. Everyone was raving about the food and the location and said it was the best wedding they've ever attended. I still dream about the filet!

We got married at the Monastery on 1/6/24 and our wedding was amazing! I would recommend this venue to anyone. The building is breathtaking, reasonably prices, and the staff is amazing. We worked with Ali in the months leading up to our wedding and she provided answers to any questions we had very timely. Then the week of our wedding we worked with Kris K. who was SO AMAZING. The day of she went above and beyond and had an answer/fix for any question we had. We had a 6 month old daughter and so we had to accommodate most of the wedding day around her schedule (and my pumping schedule) and Kris was great with this. As well as all of the staff, from the bartenders to the food staff were so nice and polite.

Kris K. made sure the entire night was absolutely flawless and perfect. She was joyful, accommodating, and communicative. The few bumps in the road we ran into she handled with ease and took everything in stride. This truly felt like the only part in the entire week that we could actually enjoy ourselves because we knew that she had everything covered. As an architect I can also say that the venue itself is absolutely gorgeous and will definitely be back for a tour soon! Thank you again for all your help and making sure the happy couples night was truly special!

Kris K. made sure the entire night was absolutely flawless and perfect. She was joyful, accommodating, and communicative. The Monastery Event Center is a fantastic venue where you can do it all. We photographed a wedding here this past July and it was fantastic. It is amazing to be able to have your ceremony and reception all at one location. This allowed our couple to have plenty of relaxation time together and eliminated the stress of driving around to several locations.The wedding coordinator, Kris, was so helpful, communicative, and kind throughout the entire process from beginning to end. We cannot wait to return back to photograph at this beautiful venue!

The Monastery Event Center is a fantastic venue where you can do it all. We photographed a wedding here this past July and it was fantastic. The Monastery Event Center made our dream wedding come true! When we toured the facility for the first time, we knew we had found the venue/ people for us! Our jaws dropped with the inherent beauty of the venue only to be outdone by the absolutely incredible staff we were able to work with! From the moment we scheduled a tour, we were the focus of their effort and excitement! They truly made us feel like we were the most important clients they ever had. More than clients, they treated us like good friends.Preparing and planning for our wedding day was smooth and easy with their efforts leaving no stone unturned to make sure everything was accounted for without leaving us with a single ounce of stress. Wedding planning is notoriously stressful, but working with the Monastery actually made it ENJOYABLE! They communicated frequently and clearly when answering our questions, requests, and changes. Even while showing the place off to our family in the months prior to the wedding, they welcomed us and provided special attention every time! Even after this stellar service leading up to the event, they still somehow managed to exceed our expectations on our wedding day with seamless service while coordinating the ceremony, transitioning the venue from ceremony to reception, and incredible service during dinner and dancing! Our guests were in awe at the beauty of the venue, the delicious food (Eden Buffet), top notch drinks, and warm, welcoming, professional and fun atmosphere! At every step of the way, the entire team was there sharing in our excitement. Every single person went above and beyond to make sure our day was everything we dreamed of. Especially Doug, Trevor, Kris, and Ali. When we first toured The Monastery, we were greeted by Doug and Trevor who were both so kind and immediately made us feel at home at the venue. Not only because of how unbelievably beautiful it is, but because of the incredible staff. We truly felt like we were the only ones to have ever gotten married there! Everything about our daughter’s wedding was absolute perfection—our guests all raved about the historic and incredible venue, and every detail was managed with the highest level of service by The Monastery team. Kris was an excellent onsite wedding planner, and having personally managed many large professional events, as Mother of the Bride, I didn’t have to worry about anything and could fully soak up the magic of our daughter’s wedding. They truly care about your special day and want every detail and the full day to be just as perfect as you want it to. From being able to rent out their airbnb that is directly across the street, to helping lead the procession up the hill from our church ceremony, to helping us bring in special alcohol for our signature drinks, to having the best wedding food you could ever imagine (including late night skyline), and to helping us bring our bourbon cigar bar to this life, this group really does it all to make your wedding day run perfectly. We cannot say enough positive things about everyone and this venue and would highly recommend to everyone to get married here!

Absolutely beautiful wedding venue!! I fell in love with The Monastery as soon as I started looking into wedding venues. We fell even more in love when we got to tour in person and met the amazing people who would be helping us. Ali was so helpful throughout the entire planning process. I had a ton of questions and Ali was very responsive and able to help. I knew on wedding day we were going to be in great hands! It really took a lot of pressure off knowing that Ali was on top of everything. We received so many compliments from our guests on the venue, food, workers, etc. It is an absolutely beautiful venue but everyone we met and worked with made it even better!

Absolutely beautiful wedding venue!! I fell in love with The Monastery as soon as I started looking into wedding venues. THE PERFECT VENUE for a wedding. The venue is beautiful and has so much character! All the staff were amazing! We worked closely with Trevor throughout the planning process and he was always so responsive, communicative and helpful! Kris helped us day of and things went even more smoothly than I ever could imagine. I loved that I could enjoy my wedding knowing everything was taken care of on their end! I don’t think 5 stars does the Monastery justice. They deserve 10 stars. They take care of SO MUCH. It amazed our families and wedding party. From the very start, the team was unbelievable. I don’t think 5 stars does the Monastery justice. They deserve 10 stars. They take care of SO MUCH. It amazed our families and wedding party. From the very start, the team was unbelievable. Our daughter was married at the Monastery Event Center the middle of July this year. We cannot express how truly impressed and overly satisfied we were with this venue and staff. Kris and Trevor were beyond helpful, present, and were consistently advising when needed. The list of vendors the monastery gave, provided us with stellar choices. The vendors we chose from their list, worked together with the venue wonderfully!! Everything was more than we could have hoped for. Kris is like a built in day-of-coordinator. She made sure everything was in place and running smoothly the day of the wedding. They made sure every request or wish that our daughter had was fulfilled. The wedding, and then flip to the reception was smooth and provided an enjoyable cocktail hour for our guests. The food was phenomenal, and the bartenders and servers were kind, classy and hard working. The entire presentation of the venue was tremendous. We cannot express how truly grateful we are to everyone at the venue for providing the most beautiful wedding and reception for our daughter and son-in-law. I'd love to give more than 5 stars!!

Absolutely the best experience I could have ever imagined with my wedding venue. From start to finish it was fantastic. I worked with Ali for sales and she was amazing, incredibly organized, and knowledgeable in every aspect. Kris, the event coordinator, was simply magnificent. I do not have enough good words to speak about her. She was there every step of the way to make sure everything ran smoothly. All of my bridesmaids were in awe of her and jokingly mentioned how they would love for her to plan their lives! The Monastery was my dream venue and I am so so happy with how everything went and looked, they truly work like a well-oiled machine. I am incredibly sad that my journey with them is complete.

We had our wedding at the Monastery in early May and it was absolutely perfect. We booked the Monastery almost two years in advance and worked with Ali up until the week of the wedding. She was unbelievably helpful, very professional, and profoundly kind during every interaction. No matter the question or how early in advance we asked, she was quick to respond and very detailed when working with us. The week of the wedding, we worked with Kris for the rehearsal and all throughout the wedding day. Kris was absolutely fantastic - she went out of her way multiple times throughout the day to ensure everything went perfectly (helped my husband get deodorant off his jacket, helped fix the bustle on my dress when the clasp broke, helped us pack up at the end of the night, etc.). She kept things running exactly as planned and was such a joy to work with. We had so many friends and family comment on her excellence.The Monastery is absolutely breathtaking and the staff is incredible - we cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience. The food was excellent, the bartenders were quick and professional, and the atmosphere is so stunning for a wedding. We had our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception at the Monastery and the transition between each part of the night was executed flawlessly. If you think the venue is amazing ( which it 100% is ) wait till you get to work with Doug, Trevor and Kris!! Everything was perfect Chef and his team had all of the food on point and everyone has told us how it was the best reception food they’ve ever had. More then likely do to the fact that Chef does everything 5 star quality. Doug and Trevor were very welcoming and easy to work with, and did a great job of making themselves available for all our questions and requests. They make sure you feel like you’re the only wedding they’re working on at all times. Just when you think anything else couldn’t be more over the top and amazing with the Monastery you get to work with Kris on the day of your event. Amanda and I both thought it was Kris and her twin sister there that day. She was every where when ever we needed her, kept us on schedule, kept a drink in our hands at all times and still was able to guide the staff all at the same time. We both joked that we wish we could hire her to be our personal assistant, because she was so awesome at her job. Last but far from least, the venue it’s self is a hidden gem in Cincy. Once you walk in the front doors you’ll be simply amazed.

I had many questions and they responded to my emails within a day, often within just an hour or so! The food (cooked in-house) is amazing and we had guests personally tell us during the reception how delicious it was! The setting is so romantic and the bridal suite on site made getting ready so easy for bridal party. Their staff thinks of everything and the day-of coordinator is fantastic and so helpful to make the day stress free! They even gifted us the engraved champagne flutes my husband and I used for toasts and they made sure to clean, wrap, and place them on the gift table so that we wouldn’t accidentally leave them behind. Like I said, pros!!!

From the day we went to see the space to the very last minute of our wedding reception, the service at The Monastery was phenomenal. Not to mention, the venue is absolutely beautiful. Doug and Trevor worked with us leading up to the wedding to ensure we had everything we needed. Kris was our day of coordinator and ensured our entire event went as planned. She contacted each of our vendors prior to the event to make certain that they had what they needed and coordinated their schedules on the day of. She truly went above and beyond and made us feel special every step of the way. The food for both our cocktail hour and reception was also amazing. Our daughter and son-in-law's wedding and reception at The Monastery Event Center was spectacular!! Everything was PERFECT from the first time we visited the site and met with Kris, to the Rehearsal, Ceremony, and Reception on 7/8/2022!! We give the Monastary the highest praise for every aspect of the wedding weekend. Kris, Trevor, Doug, and all the staff were amazing and could not have been more organized and accommodating. The rehearsal was thorough and fun, with Kris explaining every detail and making sure our large bridal party felt comfortable with the day-of schedule! We had a Friday evening wedding and all we heard from guests that night and since is \"Best Wedding Ever!\" The ceremony was so beautiful with everything going exactly as planned. The cocktail hour went exactly as hoped; as did the smooth and speedy change-over from ceremony to reception. The sit-down dinner service was like watching a symphony- so efficient and the servers were courteous and professional. The food was fantastic (We had a choice of Beef, Salmon, and Chicken-amazing!) The exquisite beauty of the Monastery building, inside and outside, made for gorgeous photo backdrops and a wonderful ambiance. The dance floor was hopping the whole evening and the night was capped off by a sparkler send-off of the Bride and Groom. If you have the privelege of getting married here, you should 10000% do it! My husband and I got married here on May 21, 2022 and things could not have gone smoother. We worked with Trevor throughout the planning process and he answered every question extremely promptly, and no question was ever too small to address. He was open to meeting with us whenever worked with our schedule, whcih was very helpful as we live out of town in Boston and had limited trips back to plan the wedding. We began working with Kris the week of the wedding as well as on our wedding night and she handled everything! My parents and I did not have to worry about a thing as she kept the entire night moving and on time! I have never met someone who could be so efficient, but also so fun! Also highly reccomened doing the march to the Monastery from Immaculata church if you get married there, as well as the sparkler exit... they will make your night so special and memorable <3.

They organized all of the vendors as well. Their fruit and cheese display was phenomenal! Ali did a great job and we appreciated the owner being there for everything. I could not have imagined a more perfect place to have had our wedding at. The Monastery is truly the most amazing wedding venue I have seen in Cincinnati. Everyone goes above and beyond to make sure your day runs smoothly and that everything is set up perfectly. Our wedding day was amazing and we had so many guests come up to us throughout the night and say how beautiful the venue was and how good the food was! We had both the ceremony and reception at The Monastery with a room flip. The staff was able to flip the room within a matter of minutes during the cocktail hour while people were at the bars and mingling! Everyone was super friendly to work with, very organized and easy to get a hold of, and very efficient! I am so glad we chose to The Monastery as our wedding venue and I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone who is getting married in the Cincinnati area!

The staff, particularly who we worked with — Trevor and Kris, were incredibly personable, knowledgeable and professional from the jump. This wasn’t the case at other local places we had seen, so it was relieving to enter a venue and actually feel like you were in good hands for one of the biggest days of your life. Not only is the space beautiful, but knowing many of the things we’d need (caterer, lights, tables, chairs, linens, alcohol, etc.) were all under one roof and part of the price was so helpful for planning purposes. The staff check in often leading up to the wedding and are incredibly organized. Naturally, planning a wedding can be stressful at times, so knowing we didn’t have to worry about our venue and their coordination of things was priceless. This allowed us to focus on other needs, like logistics with our photographer, bridal party, etc. The day of the wedding, Kris, the coordinator, was in her element. Everything went off so easily, and if there were any hiccups, Kris made sure I wasn’t aware of them. She is top notch in her service, yet isn’t robotic. She’s kind, bubbly and knows exactly what she’s doing! If any part of you is for some reason on the fence, I can assure you that you will not regret booking with The Monastery. The team at the Monastery is unrivaled, seriously. There isn't one detail overlooked. From the meetings, the prep, and the details before the big day (shoutout to Trevor) to the weekend and day of work (Kris and team) the day was absolutely flawless. It is mentioned in almost every review, but Kris is truly like a fairy godmother. She is both kind and direct, and you know you are in great hands with her. As the event continues on, the rest of the Monastery staff is on point. One of the things that stood out most to me is that the owner of the Monastery, Doug, was working with the dinner staff - passing out food, cleaning plates, and not being afraid to be involved to ensure the event continued to flow smoothly. It is truly a team effort at the Monastery, and it shows. Not to mention the FOOD - I had multiple guests come up to me and tell me that they would go to a restaurant and pay for this food, which is a pretty much unheard-of comment in the wedding industry. The Monastery is WORTH it. This is an easy five-star review and hands down one of the best choices that we made through this process. My daughter's wedding was held at the Monastery on Sat. Sept. 25th. The Monastery is a first class wedding venue facility. The focus on Quality is evident from the start. Doug, Trevor & staff are great to deal with. The food is outstanding. The real \"secret sauce\" that makes the whole experience come together and complete is the Event Manager, Kris. She is simply fabulous. Kris, Trevor, Doug and the rest of the staff stopped at nothing to achieve our dream day, from a last-minute window-blind fix, to perfect sparkler send-off coordination, and top-notch service for all guests at all times. The team was able to flip the room from ceremony to reception in less than 45 minutes, letting us maximize our time for the day. The food is incredible, and guests are still telling me how delicious the food was, and my husband's and my personalized champagne flutes are a wonderful momento.My favorites parts were getting to set up the room however you please (there are no rules for design!) and having a one-stop shop for food, tables, linens, venue, cocktail hour, ceremony and bar; so much nicer than having a million vendors to coordinate!Some tips for the day... definitely book the guest house for your weekend; my husband and the groomsmen stayed there the night before and got ready the day of, while my bridesmaids and I took over the bridal suite for the day. The groomsmen were able to stay there on the wedding night too, and it was easy to store gifts there before collecting them in the morning! One word, wow! The Monastery Event Center is hands down the best venue in Cincinnati. Not only is the property absolutely stunning, but, even more importantly, the staff is a joy to work with. Trevor, Ali, and Doug, know how to plan and host a wedding! I would easily refer to them as wedding experts.Trevor & team worked very close with us during the entire planning process, helping us to manage of the day of details. They were quick to answer all questions, flexible when scheduling meetings, and truly do what was needed to make planning your wedding as easy as possible. On our wedding day, I received multiple compliments from our guests on the friendliness & attentiveness they received from the entire Monastery team, how incredible dinner tasted, and how seamless the entire evening flowed. Thank you Trevor and team for everything you did leading up to our Wedding Day. It was truly perfect!

We just hosted our daughter's wedding at the Monastery Event Center. It was a postponement of 6 months due to Covid. From the first day we visited, before the pandemic was even a thing, we could tell that they \"do weddings\". It is a well oiled machine - transparency with information and options and pricing; timelines for making choices, etc. We were attracted to the Monastery because of it's sheer beauty but by booking it we got so much more. Doug, Trevor and Kris are a terrific trio. They are communicators extraordinaire, responding to emails, calls and texts within hours if not minutes. They take copious notes and deliver on everything they say they will. Kris is a powerhouse that in our opinion is irreplaceable. She was our coordinator for the day and has the most effervescent \"Can Do\" attitude. I'm not sure we ever heard her say \"no\" or \"we can't do that\". Instead it was always \"Sure!\" or \"We've never done that, but let's try!\" She was both unflappable AND approachable at both the rehearsal and the actual day. We have no idea where she gets her energy but it is a gift to all who encounter her. The Chef, (Michael I think?) is also fabulous. We asked to have the salmon undercooked after our tasting, so that after sitting in chafing dishes it would be perfect as opposed to overcooked. He delivered on that and we had more comments about how tremendous the food was than nearly anything! Feeding 200+ is not an easy feat and they made it look effortless. Most people don't really go to a wedding for a great meal. At the Monastery, you can absolutely have one! We think most people will, like us, book the Monastery for it's history and it's beauty. But truly, you should be booking it in order to work with this extraordinary team.

Our wedding day ended up requiring quite a journey to get to, thanks to the pandemic, but the team at the Monastery made it worth the wait. Trevor was incredibly kind, thorough, and quick to respond every time we had a question, and guided us seamlessly through our initial tour, final meeting, and plenty of in-betweens. Doug worked with us to resize our (originally large) wedding to make it safe and special for our immediate family. And Kris is just a dream-come-true as a wedding coordinator…she’s incredibly sweet, helpful, and organized. The food at the Monastery is outstanding, and the location couldn’t be more beautiful. There’s a reason they book out so far in advance, but they’re worth it.

As seen from the thousands of 5 star reviews of the Monastery, this has to be the best wedding venue in Cincinnati. The venue itself, the food, the team, its all so perfect. The team at the Monastery; Kris, Doug, Trevor and Ali made our day just like we always dreamed of. Anything that we requested they were able to assist us with. Doug, the owner of the Monastery worked with us from the beginning to help us with any questions I had. He walked us through all of the covid regulations and talked us through all of the social distancing, masks and Monastery protocols (that we luckily didn't have to end up using!) Then Trevor was able to answer any questions or concerns I had prior to the big day. He was so great with his email response time! He responded so quickly to any question I had. Kris and Ali did a fabulous job at the rehearsal and the day of making us feel like kings and queens for a night. Every step of the way, the Monastery crew was amazing at assisting us through. I am so thankful for all they did for my husband and I to make the day of what we always dreamed of.

I have nothing but praise for this gorgeous venue and exceptional staff. Our experience was wonderful from start to finish - quick responses to questions/emails/phone calls during the planning as well as wonderful care on the wedding day itself. Our guests were blown away by the elegant interior, stunning and lush courtyard, and mouth-watering food ( get the beef tenderloin!). I am sad the wedding is over and want to do it all again!

My husband, family and I cannot say enough kind words about The Monastery team. We were initially drawn to the venue because it is so beautiful on its own and has a lot of natural light. We wanted to have an indoor morning brunch wedding so the lighting was important to us. When we told them this idea, they were excited to take it on even though they had never done a brunch wedding before. We were scheduled to get married in April 2020, but ended up having to postpone twice. Through both postponements, Doug, Kris, Trevor and the entire team were so helpful, fair, and reassuring. Trevor was awesome in walking us through everything with the planning process. He answered so many questions from us and was always very quick to respond. Our final planning meeting with him was efficient and seamless and I left more than prepared for the day. Doug, the owner, was present for our wedding, even helping to serve in the buffet line and bringing us drinks. Kris is INCREDIBLE. From the rehearsal to the ceremony to the reception, Kris made sure every single detail was executed perfectly. I never had any concerns about anything going wrong because Kris was in charge. When we first had to postpone, Kris is the one I worked with to find a new date. She was able to keep me relatively calm, even when I know they were dealing with a lot of brides in the same position. The night before our wedding, she sent me a picture of the Monastery set up for our ceremony. When we couldn’t find the snaps on my dress bustle, Kris was there to help us pin the dress in a way that looked beautiful. She made sure we were taken care of and happy the entire day. We had 175 guests with a room flip that was really impressive. Our guests could not stop talking about how beautiful the venue was and how delicious the food was! Chef created the perfect brunch menu and executed our vision perfectly. The best way to describe Doug, Kris, Trevor, Chef, Ali, and everyone on the team is that they go above and beyond for their couples. We would pick them over and over again and are so grateful.

I can't find words for how incredible Kris and her team are. Our day was absolutely flawless and easy because of them. Kris coordinated everything with my vendors the weeks before the wedding, she goes above and beyond for her clients. Even throughout the night, she made sure the groom and I had our drinks and that we were happy. I really can't recommend this place enough. We had 200+ people with a room flip and it was amazing watching the team make this transition in 20 minutes. The Monastery is breathtaking but the staff is what makes this place the best. Every meeting, every member I was in contact with was nothing but helpful and kind.

BEST WEDDING VENUE! From the amazing food and service to breathtaking views of the event center, you will not regret having your wedding at the Monastery Event Center. Our wedding was absolutely perfect from start to finish and we owe it all to the staff for helping us bring our vision to life. We worked with Trevor for the many many months leading up to the wedding. He was very quick to respond to my emails and always able to answer my questions. He was amazing to work with and helped me through the entire process. Doug (the owner) was also involved throughout the whole process and went above and beyond to make us feel special. And where do we begin about Kris..she is truly AMAZING! We had no worries the day of the wedding because we knew Kris was in charge and made the entire day run so smoothly. As soon as we walked in the door, she brought us drinks and made sure we were taken care of the entire night. She is amazing at what she does and always has a smile on her face. Honestly, the entire staff was amazing and able to help guide us through planning a wedding during the pandemic. I would recommended this venue over and over again!

From the moment I walked in the door to inquire about booking, up until picking up our decorations a few days after, the team did an incredible job keeping me informed and making sure we had nothing to worry about. Customer service is fantastic, the food is INCREDIBLE, and all of my guests were blown away by the beauty of the venue itself. From a planning standpoint, Trevor was amazing to work with - always answering emails and phone calls quickly and with impeccable attention to detail, Doug (the owner) was involved throughout the process and I was so impressed with how well he knew the ins and outs of the operation (he was able to quote how quickly salads would get served to each guest down to the minute!), and last but not least, Kris was an absolute machine and there wasn't a thing she couldn't handle. If something went wrong, I wouldn't know because it was handled so quickly! If you're looking for a unique venue in the Cincinnati area that you and your guests will love - look no further. If I could give this place 100 stars I would. We held our wedding here last weekend and I knew it was going to be amazing, but I didn't know it was going to be perfect. I never spent a moment that night (or at all) thinking or worrying if things were going to go according to plan. This is THE BEST spot to get married in Cincinnati hands down. I would encourage all brides to stop your search here! Trevor is extremely responsive, detail oriented, and doesn't miss a single aspect. Doug is probably one of the most caring people I've ever met, and he went above and beyond to make sure we were happy not only on the wedding day, but during the year long planning process. There are no words to describe how important/special Kris made my husband and I feel. The night of our wedding I didn't feel like Kris worked for the monastery, I felt like she worked for us. I never even went to the bar for the drink that night, Kris never let my hand be without a full drink. Just down to the smallest details this woman did it all!! She worked her butt off that night. These 3 people are the best in the business. And the food was top notch!!! Most weddings I've attended the guests barely touch the food because it's very hard to make great food for large groups of people. But this food was phenomenal. I wish I could remember the chefs name, but he was outstanding. My guests are all raving about every minute of our wedding. I could go on for hours and hours about how perfect the planning process and the wedding was. If you are looking for an absolutely gorgeous venue, impeccable customer service, 5 star food and flawless execution - you've found your place!! The only thing I'm sad about is that it's over!

There are no words to describe how important/special Kris made my husband and I feel. The night of our wedding I didn't feel like Kris worked for the monastery, I felt like she worked for us. I never even went to the bar for the drink that night, Kris never let my hand be without a full drink. Just down to the smallest details this woman did it all!! She worked her butt off that night. These 3 people are the best in the business. And the food was top notch!!! Most weddings I've attended the guests barely touch the food because it's very hard to make great food for large groups of people. But this food was phenomenal. I wish I could remember the chefs name, but he was outstanding. My guests are all raving about every minute of our wedding. I could go on for hours and hours about how perfect the planning process and the wedding was. If you are looking for an absolutely gorgeous venue, impeccable customer service, 5 star food and flawless execution - you've found your place!! The only thing I'm sad about is that it's over!

The Monastery was hands down the best decision we made for our wedding! During the initial planning process Trevor was so prompt in answering our questions and made sure we stayed on a good timeline. We ended up having to reschedule our initial wedding due to covid and then the rescheduled wedding was much smaller, but they were there every step of the way to ensure we still had a perfect day and were so easy to communicate with. The day of they are wonderful to work with as everything is included - food, beverages, linens, silverware, room set up etc, so you do not have to worry about details. All of our vendors told us the Monastery is the best/easiest venue to work with. All of our guests told us it was the best wedding service and food they had ever had. Not to mention the inside exposed brick and lighting is absolutely stunning! We highly recommend them to anyone in the Cincinnati area!

We received a complimentary steak on our tour, just for example!We were unlucky enough to have postponed our wedding during the Covid pandemic. However, they were so helpful and worked with us on the rescheduling process, with no extra fees or anything. They were always available and communicated any questions or concerns and went out of their way on a few occasions to make sure we were satisfied. The only part that was better than the beautiful venue was the unparalleled service and commitment to their customers. Weddings are so expensive nowadays. After looking at multiple venues, the only place that you will absolutely, without a doubt receive your money’s worth, is the Monastery Event Center. You get your table linens, caterer, table setting, bartenders, alcohol, wedding planner ALL IN ONE with the Monastery. The Monastery Event Center is simply breathtaking! We toured several locations for our daughter’s wedding and fell in love with the elegance and romance of this venue. It was everyone’s first choice! In May 2019, we secured a date for a September 2020 ceremony and reception, and began working with their excellent team to plan the event. In March, Covid hit and the next 5 months were a roller coaster ride of emotions as the bride and groom grappled with postponing, cancelling, or staying with the original date. Throughout this anxious period, the Monastery ownership (especially Doug) and the event team proved to be invaluable partners. They were responsive, flexible, and confident that they could meet the safety protocols that had become so very important. Because of their diligence, we knew that our family and friends would be able to enjoy a beautiful and safe wedding day!The staff were amazing, especially Lindsay and Trevor for the planning phase and Kris on game day! Their attention to detail was excellent. They did everything possible to accommodate our requests, personalize the event and make the day so special. The food was absolutely DELICIOUS and everyone raved about it! The event team seamlessly transitioned from an outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour to an indoor reception and service throughout was simply amazing!Thank you so very much for making our daughter's wedding a dream come true! Trevor was amazing at answering questions in lightening speed and providing guidance to ensure our event was flawless. There was no request unanswered or unmet. Kris, the day of coordinator, is hands down INCREDIBLE. Kris’s attention to detail and level of service is unmatched. She literally thinks of EVERYTHING before it enters your mind and handles anything thrown her way with absolute grace and professionalism. The Monastery’s entire goal is to ensure every need of the bridal party and every guest is met and they work tirelessly to ensure your vision is fulfilled. We were just married at the Monastery Event Center right before COVID-19 really wreaked havoc on America (and I will say that the team did everything they did to make it as safe and healthy experience during this time). I cannot say enough great things about this venue and the team! We were incredibly lucky that when we visited for the first time (18 months before our day) that they were available. Every step of the way, the entire team was nothing but professional. They are SO prompt to return emails, clarify, and tailor the experience to whatever you want or need. I think a lot of couples in Cincinnati get married somewhere else and then have their reception here, but we had both our ceremony and reception here and it was all very magical! The team flipped the room so fast I didn't even notice :)! I also cannot say enough wonderful things about Kris and her team onsite the day of to provide the smoothest evening. From coordinating a smooth rehearsal to a smooth ceremony, she will help make sure you have everything you need at every step of the way (including finding a box fan for the bridal staging room when you have to sit in there for 1 hour before the ceremony to make you cool and comfortable). We also rented out the monastery guest house across the street and that also really made the experience even better being just a few steps away and so close to the beautiful venue all weekend! One thing that I didn't really think about when planning was the need to have the rehearsal on Thursday (because they have weddings there on Fridays). This honestly wasn't such a big deal tho - it allowed my bridal party and family to spend some extra time together before the big day. I cannot highly recommend this venue enough!

From our very first tour, we felt special and listened to - which is incredible because this place books up and there are constantly couples coming through but you never feel like you are bothering them or are in the way. Doug actually gave us our initial tour and was there on our wedding night as well as the tasting night - he is so involved and passionate about the operations at the Monastery and it makes such a difference. From initial tour, to the tasting to the rehearsal and finally our actual wedding everything was beyond perfect. The chef makes amazing food, our guests couldn't stop raving about the food and the level of service provided. Kris is next level - she is full of energy and positivity. She anticipates needs before you even can say anything, we are so impressed with her and she made us feel like the most important people on our wedding day. She is thoughtful and kind. Our entire bridal party was just amazed at everything Kris manages and makes seamlessly happen when you get married at The Monastery Event Center. Overall though, the venue is just incredible. It is beautiful and stunning - your guests won't believe this gem is in Cincinnati. We had a winter wedding in February and it was everything we hoped and more. I honestly don't have a single piece of negative feedback about this venue - nothing beats it in my book. I would get married here again and again!
