The Mulberry at New Smyrna Beach is a traditional-style barn wedding venue located in New Smyrna Beach, FL. The venue perfectly blends southern elegance with its rustic features and modern touches. Owner Jessica Barton Mariacher designed this property with her husband, Kyle Mariacher, for their own wedding. Now, the pair welcomes couples to the Sunshine State to showcase their own styles and personalities in their magical venue. The barn boasts 6,000 square feet of open space and beautiful views of great oak trees from the bar and patio area. Upon entry to the barn, you will be met with large rustic doors from the 1850s that are original wood from an old apple orchard barn in Indiana. The venue has two large bars that are 23 feet long and made from trees that grew on the property. It has a capacity of 150 guests, and they are happy to provide tables and chairs. The Mulberry at New Smyrna Beach is suitable for both ceremonies and receptions and has a cottage for getting ready on the morning of your special day. The team at The Mulberry is happy to help with vendor, catering, and event coordinator referrals. They also will have a member of staff on-site to help with questions, parking, and cleanup. After your celebration, the team at The Mulberry, the event coordinator, and their suggested caterers will take care of the cleanup. The venue is a beautiful space to spend time with the people you love most. It features indoor and outdoor spaces and has a magical aura.

This venue is a DREAM. If we were to build a venue from the ground up, it would be exactly this one and it's exactly why we chose it for our day. It has the perfect getting ready arrangements for both the bridal party and groomsmen. The barn is drop dead gorgeous, and the ceremony area is perfectly \"Florida\" style. There are plenty of picture opportunities on the property. The owners are absolute sweethearts and we could not have picked a more perfect venue for our wedding!!

This venue is a DREAM. If we were to build a venue from the ground up, it would be exactly this one and it's exactly why we chose it for our day. Excellent wedding venue! My best friend and her hubby got married here 3/31 and we had an incredible experience. The venue manager, Billie, met every single one of our needs and went above and beyond to make the day as seamless as possible. The ceremony site was perfect-everything was kept up and clean. The cocktail hour was spotless. The reception space had all tables and chairs prepared. The temperature in the building was perfect all night long, even as dancing got started. The bartenders were INCREDIBLE! Super sweet and the drinks were all perfectly made. The bridal cottage and groomsmen suite were clean and felt like home as we got ready for the day! Couldn’t sing praises enough for this wedding venue. 🙌🏼

The Mulberry is the ultimate “Instagram versus reality.” My husband and I hosted our wedding at The Mulberry in May 2021. We had exactly the same experience Amanda McLeod (unaffiliated with our wedding) describes in a Google review of the venue. Her review is worth a read.The overwhelmingly negative way we were treated left our day shrouded in a dark cloud. My points of contention are below -Communication - Jessica is a busy mom, and communication was inconsistent and challenging. For example, after our tour, we scheduled a follow-up call to go over some questions. The call was scheduled for 10 a.m., and we didn’t end up hearing from her until 4 p.m., despite following up with calls, texts and emails. Rehearsal - The contract states you can have your rehearsal during office hours, which are M - F, 8 - 5. What is not clearly defined is the “upon availability” verbiage. We were thrown for a loop when we found out there was a wedding Friday evening - and the latest we could host our rehearsal was 11 a.m. Not being local, we were unaware events were booked on week nights. We had told our wedding party they could fly in Friday morning, so they all had to change their travel arrangements at the last minute. On our rehearsal day, though we contractually had one hour on the property, we were asked to leave well before our hour was up. Our rehearsal only took about 25 minutes, so my husband and I tried to do a quick walk-through of the property to finalize our decorating plans. While doing so, the caretaker rudely insisted she had vendors arriving and that we needed to leave immediately. We had only been there for 30 minutes. Coordinator - There are multiple coordinators on the venue’s preferred list, but Jessica paired us with the company she felt was the best fit for us. This came as an unwelcome surprise to us, as we felt that was a decision that we should have been able to make. Staff - The poor attitude of the staff is easily the most negative aspect of the venue. As stated earlier, we were very rudely asked to vacate the premises post-rehearsal.Similarly, though we were supposed to have possession of the venue until 11 p.m. on the day of our wedding, we were angrily and aggressively approached by the head caretaker at 10:15 p.m. She said, quote, “Per your contract, you need to be off the grounds by 11 p.m.” At that point, we were halfway through cleaning up, so it’s not as though we were still celebrating. At 10:30 p.m., the staff proceeded to turn out all the lights, rendering the final half hour of our cleanup chaotic.The Mulberry’s staff legitimately does not care it’s your wedding day. They are snarky, condescending and rude.Missing Items - Between our unprofessional coordinator (who left well before the end of our event), being harassed to leave and having the lights turned off on us, several personal items were lost. Because the coordinator didn’t personally tell us where the food had been stored, the top tier of our cake, our custom cake topper and all of our catering leftovers were thrown in the trash. Additionally, $200 of BBW hand sanitizer and several LED candles disappeared, and two expensive registry platters, which we used in our dessert display, were inadvertently left in the catering room’s sink. Post-wedding, Jessica confirmed via email the platters were still at the venue and promised to mail them to me, but we have yet to see them. This venue is beautiful but also inherently flawed.

THE most amazing place to have your wedding. Aside from The Mulberry being such a beautiful venue to begin with, it also gives you free liberty to create something incredibly unique for your special day since it's such a blank slate. Even more so, everything makes sense at this venue when it comes to the flow of your event. The staff is 100% on their game the entire time and the venue is extremely well kept and clean. All of our guests cannot stop talking about how much of a unique experience this was for them. We will be forever grateful that we had our wedding here.

The Mulberry was the perfect place to host our reception. Jessica the owner and Billie the property manager were both incredible throughout the whole planning process and day of. The bridal house was perfect to get ready in and the grooms quarters was a great hangout space for the guys. We were skeptical about booking the venue because they required a wedding planner, but I couldn’t have imagined not having the planner as we look back. Would 10/10 recommend for anyone!

Sadly, the venue owner, the wedding planner provided by the owner, and the bartenders also provided by the owner were a colossal disappointment. The venue and wedding were fantastic, not including the surly bartenders who were rude and unhappy upon arrival. We discovered the day after the wedding that the Mulberry's planner (Melanie) gave the gift box to a complete stranger, not the designated mother of the bride or groom. We also discovered over $1,000 of items were missing from the groom's suite. The owner provided little to no help other than to remind us that she was not responsible for personal items. The surly bartenders lied about the vehicle they were driving yet no solution was offered by anyone, including the wedding planner who was reckless with an item of significant value to the newlyweds. They just wanted to avoid the situation and move on, unprepared to handle issues or problems.

I cannot say enough amazing things about how perfect The Mulberry was for our wedding in New Smyrna Beach, FL! This venue feels like it is straight out of a magazine. The outdoor ceremony location is dreamy under this huge beautiful tree. The cocktail hour area/bar is perfect for crowd flow and so easy to design and make your own! For pictures, there are so many cool hidden spots on the site - I cannot stop looking at our wedding portraits from all over the property! The barn itself is gorgeous - huge and modern, but with this really simple and chic charm! Every detail at this venue is purposefully designed and perfect, from the indoor fireplace to the bathroom decor! One thing I didn't expect was how much I enjoyed the bridal house on-site. You don't really think about how long you are going to have to be on-site getting ready before your wedding, but being able to do so in such a cozy and adorably decorated house, with a ton of room for you and your girls, was a real highlight of my day! And the guys areas is equally as adorable, but in a more manly-man way lol - it was perfect for the guys to just hang out, have a couple of beers to relax and take pictures! Jessica was incredible to work- I literally could not have found a better more perfect venue! I would highly recommend The Mulberry for any future brides looking for that venue above the rest :)

The Mulberry was the perfect backdrop for our perfect day. So many people commented on how beautiful and fitting it was for us. Jessica and her team were so helpful throughout the whole process. The venue was much more reasonably priced than almost anything in Orlando and Jessica, being a bride herself, knew just what touches to include to make the venue check all the boxes. I appreciated not having to rent chairs, a dance floor, etc. Everything was already there! From the beautiful archway, fire pit, and farm tables. We only experienced one small hiccup which was a miscommunication regarding providing s’mores for our guests to prepare over the fire pit, but this wasn’t possible because it’s a gas fire pit. Overall, The Mulberry was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding besides each other.

The Mulberry is such a beautiful venue! We loved having our wedding there. Jessica was so friendly and helpful throughout the wedding planning process. The venue's style is the perfect blend of modern and rustic and was just what we were looking for. I personally loved having the bridal suite available all day so my bridesmaids and I could get ready there and relax. It's SUPER cute and it's a house so there's a full kitchen and two bathrooms. There's also a wonderful groom's suite above the barn equipped with a bar and TV. The ceremony space under the tree is gorgeous, but there's a good \"Plan B\" spot if it does rain. We loved the indoor/outdoor aspect of the venue because people were able to mingle inside the barn to dance, hang out on the patio, and even relax by the fire pit (s'mores!). Multiple people commented on how much they loved the venue. There are also plenty of great spots on the property for photos. If you go with The Mulberry, definitely get the package with the coordinator. Well worth it. Highly recommend this venue! :-)

I wasn't really looking for a \"barn\" wedding, but I liked that The Mulberry had everything else I wanted (Bride/Groom ready rooms, outdoor ceremony/indoor reception space, rain plan, included tables, and day of coordinator), and the barn was beautifully modern. It was the best choice I made!! The Mulberry Team was excellent and along with our coordinator took care of all set up/breakdown. The space was perfect for our 140 guests, and family and friends couldn't stop talking about how great it was. I loved being able to come on property in the morning and just hangout all day until our wedding at 4PM. Even my bridal party commented that it was the most relaxed and on-time wedding they had ever been in, and I owe all of that to this amazing venue and their team!!

The Mulberry was a DREAM venue! It is the perfect set up for any wedding. We had a winter/Christmas wedding here December 2018 and it was perfect. We did the ceremony outside under the tree (gorgeous), the cocktail hour on the patio, the reception inside and then did smores by the fire pit! The bridal suite where the girls got ready is HUGE and beautiful! In addition, the owner Jessica and her whole family are super sweet and great at communicating. If you are getting married in Central Florida, this is your place!
