John Devereux(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 28-05-2017 This was the perfect place for our wedding reception. We highly recommend it. The stone wall and lighting set the perfect backdrop both inside and out for an elegant, minimalist, classy feel. I was so impressed with how beautifully set up it was when we arrived. The venue itself lends itself to a good party. We had cocktails on the patio, dinner inside, then dancing back outside. Everything went so smoothly thanks to Meagan, our wedding coordinator. We were able to really enjoy the night and not have to worry about anything. The food was delicious thanks to Judy and the whole catering team. We couldn't have asked for a better night. Annette Smith(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 24-10-2015 The Museum of Ventura County is a beautiful and unique venue. It is a non-profit organization so we felt good about choosing this awesome venue as well as helping out our community museum. Shanon (Event Director) did a fabulous job with everything from the rehearsal to decorations to coordinating the entire wedding day to loading up our cars once the event was over. I HIGHLY recommend that you consider this venue for your ceremony and/or reception. You will not regret it! Reviewed on 10-11-2015
Lauren Member(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 10-08-2013 At first glance, the Museum of Ventura County doesn't look like much in the way of a reception venue. It's got a kind of industrial-feeling banquet hall and a pretty but somewhat barren courtyard. \r\rBut oh my, what they can do with that space! By the time everything was set up for our reception, it looked like a magical wonderland. There were fairy lights and paper lanterns strung across the once empty courtyard, which was now filled with wine barrels for cocktail hour, beautiful displays of appetizers, a dance floor, tables with umbrellas, and cheerful music. The banquet hall was transformed by draping yards and yards of gauze across the ceiling, turning it from a warehouse into a pavilion. Soft, tasteful lighting bathed the whole room.\r\rShannon, the coordinator at the museum, understood our vision at once and worked with us to create a casual yet elegant and distinctly Ventura-feeling atmosphere. My husband's parents, who weren't particularly sold on the venue beforehand, raved about it afterward. The indoor-outdoor space was perfect for an August wedding, and the courtyard helps keep the ocean breezes at bay. We were nearly at full capacity but it never felt crowded. Reviewed on 22-11-2013
Kate Barton(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 30-07-2011 We just got married at the museum and it was the perfect venue for us. The pavilion holds 200 people, and the plaza is bordered by a beautiful rock wall and modern fountain. We had our cocktail hour in the museum courtyard so our guests could see some of the sculpture as well. Shanon the venue coordinator is amazing, enthusiastic, always calls you back, and is deeply invested in the success of your wedding. Reviewed on 17-08-2011
