Located in Leesburg, VA, The Oak Barn at Loyalty is an idyllic wedding venue for couples seeking to celebrate their love surrounded by the wonders of nature. Ernie and Barbara Smith, owners of the barn, will work to bring your vision to life, creating an unforgettable experience for you and your guests. The Oak Barn at Loyalty can accommodate both indoor and outdoor special occasions. The two-story barn can host up to 175 guests, offering a charming setting for you to declare your love for your partner. It features a built-in outdoor balcony with stunning views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The courtyard is the perfect dancing spot for the newlyweds, while the outdoor ceremony site in the picturesque pasture offers many photo opportunities. A "bridal suite" and "groom's lounge" are also located on-site to allow time for brides and grooms to get ready before the beginning of the festivities. The barn is equipped with three restrooms, high-speed internet, and is also climate-controlled. A pavilion with a stone fireplace is the perfect spot for guests to sit and enjoy the spectacular sunsets in western Loudoun County. The Oak Barn at Loyalty services a wide spectrum of wedding events including religious ceremonies, commitment ceremonies, elopements, vow renewals, and more. Ernie and Barbara will prioritize the creation of a meaningful connection with all couples, gaining an understanding of any specific requirements. The moment we drove up the driveway at The Oak Barn at Loyalty I cried bc I knew that we found “the venue.” The tears continued the entire tour & as I stood in the gorgeous barn, (I’m typically not a crier) I’d immediately felt soo ‘at home’ with Barb & Ernie, the owners.Sadly the pandemic occurred causing us to postpone our wedding twice. Flash forward to October 2023 & the most magical moment in our lives finally occurred at the beautiful Oak Barn at Loyalty. The gorgeous views which we grew to love over 4 years wowed our guests, the compassion Barb & Ernie felt shined throughout the day without going unnoticed to family & friends. I can’t even begin to describe how beautiful the bridal suite is! We truly had the best experience at The Oak Barn at Loyalty! There’s no need to look at other venues bc this venue has everything & more that you could possibly need! Your guests will be talking about your wedding for a long time if you choose the oak barn! Although our wedding has passed, the bond we share with Barb & Ernie is For life!

We couldn’t be happier to have had our wedding at The Oak Barn, and would highly recommend this amazing venue! Everything about the barn itself and the view are absolutely stunning, and all details of the venue are so well thought out which helped everything to run as smoothly as possible. The barn is the perfect cozy and intimate space for a beautiful ceremony and/or reception. Barb and Ernie are the sweetest couple and were always quick to respond to any questions we had and were incredibly helpful throughout the planning process and even the day of from start to finish. The Oak Barn at Loyalty is such a beautiful venue! The backdrop was stunning and our guests could not get over how wonderful the location was. The whole event flowed nicely from the outdoor ceremony space, to the cocktail hour on the patio under the lights, to the warmly lit barn for dinner and dancing. Plus, the owners, Barb and Ernie, were with us every step of the way and were there to help throughout the rehearsal and the whole wedding event. They were available with any questions we had during our planning process and were even there cheering us on as the barn doors opened when I walked down the aisle. We were incredibly happy with this venue!

I had the pleasure of experiencing The Oak Barn at Loyalty as the venue for my daughter's wedding, and it was an absolute delight from start to finish. Barb and Ernie, the hosts, were incredibly accommodating and knowledgeable, which was especially helpful for us as newcomers to the wedding planning process.Barb was a wealth of information, providing us with vendor lists and patiently addressing our many questions. She made us feel at ease and when my daughter wanted to revisit the venue and visualize the reception layout, both Barb and Ernie went the extra mile rearranging tables to help us explore various setups and walking us through how the day would go.On the day of the wedding, the weather didn't cooperate, but that didn't dampen our spirits. Ernie's early preparations and attention to detail ensured that the indoor setting was beautiful and intimate, creating a perfect atmosphere for the day and our guests.The bridal suite was a dream with ample space for hair, makeup and relaxation simultaneously, while the groom's suite provided a fun and relaxing space for the men.The Oak Barn at Loyalty is undeniably a stunning venue, and what sets it apart is the personal touch that Barb and Ernie bring to every event. They truly make it all about the couple on their special day, and we couldn't have asked for a more wonderful experience. I cannot imagine a better venue to get married at or better venue owners to work with! Barb and Ernie were nothing but supportive and accommodating through the entire process. They are full of knowledge and experience which made me feel so relaxed and worry-free on my big day.We got married during tropical storm Opehlia and of course, I was stressed in the week leading up because of all of the complications of the impending rain and wind. I arrived at my rehearsal to find that Ernie had spent the day completely setting up the inside of the barn so I could experience how the day would work with the change to an indoor ceremony. It brought tears to my eyes to see how much work they both put in to make sure my wedding day was perfect, even in a storm. Barb and Ernie truly make you feel like a part of their family and I cannot express how highly I recommend The Oak Barn at Loyalty.

Best venue and owners ever!! To begin, this wedding venue is absolutely beautiful. The property, the views, and the barn's indoor and outdoor space is all amazing. The lovely couple that owns the barn and the property were fantastic throughout the whole planning process. They were there for everything and went above and beyond what we would have expected from owners. My daughter's wedding day ended up being a rainy day and several days before, we had to come up with new plans. The owners began immediately figuring out things that needed to be done and did them! They added a cover outside the door the bride would come through and ordered a ton of umbrellas. The night ended up being perfect even with the rain due to all their forward thinking. They even set up tables and chairs so it would all be perfect inside before the caterers even arrived. I am sure there is so much more I could write. I highly, highly, highly recommend The Oak Barn at Loyalty!!!

This venue is GORGEOUS! I got so many compliments from my guest about the beautiful barn and amazing views! Also, the owners Barb & Ernie are amazing to work with. They are so kind and made us feel like family. They had great suggestions and provided such good vendors to use. Anyone looking for a beautiful barn with amazing views, this is the place to go! I would pick this venue 100x over and recommend this venue to any newlyweds who want the Barn vibe. I’m truly sad my wedding is over, I will need to find another excuse to visit Barb, Ernie and their beautiful barn!

Oak Barn at Loyalty was the perfect place to have our daughter’s wedding. The venue was rustic yet elegant, was amply spacious for entertaining with access to second level, a beautiful outdoor patio and fit pit area and provided for sufficient guest parking. Its mountain views, immaculately manicured grounds and the breathtaking sunset made the most spectacular backdrop for photos. There is not enough good to say about the owner’s, Barbara and Ernie who were the most gracious hosts. They were responsive, supportive and did all in their power to make this a most special of events for the family and guests. Their preferred vendors, which they thoroughly vet and assess to insure quality service, were the ultimate professionals and provided services well beyond expectations. We thank and credit the Oak Barn at Loyalty, Barbara and Ernie and all our other vendors, for making our daughter’s wedding day one of the most special days of our lifetime.

We looked at several barn-style wedding venues in Northern Virginia and when we took our visit of The Oak Barn, we knew immediately it was the right one for us! Barb and Ernie were so warm and welcoming when we first arrived and continued to be absolutely fantastic to work with throughout the entire process. We truly appreciated their kindness. After we booked, we were able to visit several times on short notice with our family members to show them the venue. On the wedding weekend, we had ample access to the venue, from Friday mid-day through Sunday mid-day, for drop-off and clean-up. This stood out to us among other venues and helped us feel a lot less pressure to be in and out since there would be another wedding the day before, or after. It was also a great backup plan for any guests who needed to keep their cars there overnight (we did have shuttles running, though) or for cars that were packed with wedding items and we didn’t want to deal with the hassle of moving off property immediately after the reception. As for the venue itself, it was stunning. Our main draw was the magnificent barn – the perfect mix of modern and authentic features and a great fit the size of our wedding (75 guests). The barn itself has A/C inside and barn doors on all 4 sides that can be opened as necessary to allow for air flow. We had a mid-June wedding and the barn temperature was cool enough to provide relief from the outside heat. For cocktail hour, we used the patio area next to the barn which was perfect for our guests as it included an outside facing walk-up bar in the catering barn and had enough space for us to set up our photobooth. We also had our welcome table & guestbook out in this area near the barn as well.We also loved the outdoor lawn space adjacent to the barn where they set up for outdoor ceremonies. The view faces West overlooking the picturesque Blue Ridge mountains and we had the most incredible sunset on the night of our wedding where we were able to get amazing photos out in the fields just beyond the fences. Barb & Ernie have a preferred vendor list which they meticulously monitor, including on the day of the wedding, to ensure those they recommend continue to meet or exceed all expectations. That said, we had no issues using a coordinator NOT on their list and they were more than willing to accommodate us once we provided them her qualifications. With all the stress of planning a wedding, we felt the preferred vendor list made it much easier to narrow down our choices and it was reassuring knowing they had all worked at The Oak Barn before.All things considered, we feel truly blessed to have found this venue and are grateful for Barb & Ernie helping us have the wedding we dreamed of.

Last year when I started venue searching, Oak Barn was my first stop and I had absolutely no idea how much I’d fall in love!! Not only was the property beautiful and well-kept but the owners (Barb and Ernie) were so kind!! My fiancé was out of town and I called him immediately saying we had to book! With only one June date left, I couldn’t let it go! We booked immediately! Fast forward to our wedding day. It was an absolute dream!! Barb and Ernie were there all day to help my planner (Tilly & Teal) welcome all the vendors to get set up! They were behind the scenes as additional hands to help! They both care so deeply about their couples and making sure their day is perfect and it shows!The barn itself is so beautiful and minimal decorations are needed to make the place wedding ready, this is what I loved the most! The they provide the chairs and tables for the ceremony and/or reception and a few other beautiful items. Make sure to speak with them about the rules for keeping barn doors open, as they need to be closed at a certain time of night for noise control. Beautiful patio lights kept our guests outside all evening- everyone loved it!! Thank you again for making our wedding the most beautiful and memorable day of ours lives!! We can’t wait to come back!

After looking at many venues we decided on The Oak Barn at Loyalty for many reasons, and it did not disappoint! Not only was it a gorgeous venue, the owners Ernie and Barbara are wonderful to work with! They are responsive to questions, provided suggestions for vendors, and are accommodating to the couples’ needs to make sure the wedding is perfect. One aspect we loved compared to other venues is there is only one wedding a weekend; so, you could schedule the rehearsal and wedding on your time, as opposed to squeezing into their schedule. The grounds of the venue are not only beautiful but there are so many spaces for guests to go. We would highly recommend this venue as it will not disappoint.

The owners, Barb and Ernie, will always have their couples best interests in mind and will take extra steps to make sure everything goes to (the best) plan. The Oak Barn was the dreamiest, best venue we could have went with. To be honest, we didn't look at any besides them, because we just KNEW the moment we showed up this was the place we needed to get married. Barn and Ernie, (the owners) are FABULOUS, and my parents and all my vendors were in love with them! I know it's corny, but they really are half the reason we had the best day of our life. The Oak Barn at Loyalty was the perfect spot for my daughter’s wedding! The setting is incredible, nestled in the hills of Leesburg with remarkable sunset views. The barn itself is modern and rustic with so much natural beauty. The gardens are well-maintained, and the grounds have a patio area and relaxing fireside seating. We had the most beautiful spring wedding weather, enjoying the outdoors as well as indoors. Ernie and Barbara are a pleasure to work with. Professional, responsive and accommodating. They run a tight ship, and it shows in the ability to execute these events flawlessly. They have recommended vendors and they monitor their quality. They also allow you to choose your own vendors. When we decided to reserve the Oak Barn at Loyalty, it was comforting to know a) I had a short list of vendors, so it wasn’t so overwhelming and b) I knew those vendors had good reputations because of the due diligence performed by Ernie and Barbara. They have built a great reputation, and I highly recommend the venue!

This elegant and picturesque venue surpassed all expectations of the bride and groom, but also the parents and all their guests. This property is impeccably maintained, and the ground are superiorly manicured. The owners, Barb and Ernie Smith, are very hands-on and personable, and anticipated and provided advice and solutions to challenges before, during, and after my daughter's wedding. They managed to even make rain a non-issue. Yes, it rained before and during our guest arrival. Barb and Ernie anticipated the situation with tents and the guests stayed dry and happy. After the wedding, the sun came out and it was like it never happened. Barb and Ernie suggested trusted vendors that worked with them to provide an elegant and memorable day for my new son and daughter. The event was, to quote my mother-in-law, \"Wonderful!\

An absolutely incredible venue! Beautiful view and extremely well maintained. The owners Ernie and Barb were very friendly and helpful throughout the rehearsal and wedding day, working with the wedding coordinator, and treating my daughter and son-in-law like they were family. The bridal suite is so cozy for getting prepared, and the groomsman area set up for fun. Barb even took a couple candid photos for us before our daughter walked down the aisle with her dad. Ernie set up tents beforehand for us when rain was expected. He also made a fire in the fireplace for those guests that were outdoors. Cannot say enough great things about the personal touches that they did to make the day go even more smoothly. Would highly recommend this wonderful venue!

We had an absolutely perfect time during our mid-April wedding celebration at the Oak Barn. After touring multiple venues months earlier, this one stood out to us. The location: right near Leesburg, many wineries, other small towns, while also quite close to Dulles airport and DC, makes it an easy place to get to with many things for guests to do as well. The scenery: the property is expansive and meticulously landscaped, with a beautiful view that is also seen from the barn doors of the main space. The layout of the indoor and outdoor spaces: we were able to have cocktail hour outside while playing lawn games and our main celebration indoors with the barn doors open; there are many areas inside and out for guests to enjoy the view or find a quiet spot; a private area for each of us to get ready with close friends on the day of. The day itself was simply a dream! Everything went as smoothly as possible and the venue provided the perfect setting. Barb and Ernie were an absolute pleasure to work with and we simply enjoyed talking to them. I only wish we could go back. We highly recommend the Oak Barn for any celebration.

Book this venue, right now, you will not regret it! Barb and Ernie, the owners, are simply the best. The venue is absolutely gorgeous, and the owners being so genuine, nice, and accommodating is just an added bonus. Even with intermittent showers on my wedding day, I couldn’t have asked for a better day, because of all they did before and during to make everything go smoothly. Barb and Ernie went above and beyond to make sure everything was absolutely perfect. The beauty of the venue speaks for itself, and our wedding day was simply like a fairytale because of the owners. Also, we booked a few of their recommended vendors and loved them all. Thank you just isn’t enough!

The Oak Barn is nothing short of spectacular – Nothing I say here will be effusive enough to convey what an absolute pleasure it was to get married here. Due to Covid, my wife and I were engaged for 3 years and we only found the Oak Barn after our initial venue fell through because of shifting dates. As the old saying goes, ‘everything happens for a reason’ – I am so incredibly thankful that we had to pass on our first venue because we would never have even found this place.While I could go on at length about why you need to book this place TODAY, the top three reasons are:1)\tThe Setting: The Oak Barn is nestled at the foot of the Bull Run Mountains and overlooks Loudon Valley. This picturesque piece of land is pushed back from the road and is surrounded by dense trees that were dazzling shades of vermillion, crimson, and amber at the time of our fall wedding. The property is secluded and feels intimate, unlike many of the other northern VA venues which tend to be close to roads or other places of business. I believe the word “magical” was used by more than a few of our guest. 2)\tThe Space: Let me start by saying - the eponymous ‘Oak Barn’ is absolutely fantastic. Built by Amish labor, the barn sits at the heart of the property and lends a feeling of strength, stability, and character. In addition to the barn, bridal/groom suites, the patio, and even the covered firepit lend an air of old-world sophistication and class.The space is also incredibly adaptable - we decked the barn and patio in more flowers than I have ever seen in one place in my life. The effect was stunning: guests were transported to a French countryside, the air redolent of peony and eucalyptus. One thing is clear - this isn’t like “other barn venues”.3)\tThe Staff: This is it – the X-factor. Over what turned into quite a long engagement, Barb and Ernie became like family to us. Ernie’s enthusiasm and ‘joie de vivre’ as he walks you through the property is infectious. Barb’s nurturing altruism and support will make you feel as if you are visiting home. These are wonderful people and the importance of the “people” that make up your list of vendors cannot be overstated. If you made it to this point in my review – What are you doing? Hurry up, go book this place NOW!

The Oak Barn provided everything we could've imagined and more for our wedding day. From the very first meeting with the wonderfully pleasant owners, Barb and Ernie, we knew this would be the right venue for us. The venue offers a beautiful onsite bridal suite and groomsman lounge which allowed for our wedding party to prepare for the big day. The beautifully crafted wood barn provided an amazing space that was both rustic, yet elegant and was perfect for our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. Although we didn't get the opportunity to utilize the spacious lawn and outdoor patio for our reception due to an unfortunately timed rainstorm, the inside of the venue provided a beautiful second floor, outdoor covered balconies and plenty of space for our roughly 120 guests to enjoy cocktail hour. The first floor provided an amazing, intimate space for our ceremony that kept our guests dry while still allowing us to open the large barn doors which provided a beautiful backdrop for our ceremony. During cocktail hour upstairs, the catering team with the help of Oak Barn staff were able to quickly transition the first floor into a beautifully appointed dining room and dance floor. While we would have loved to enjoy the patio and outdoor space, the barn provided an exceptional area for us to celebrate with family and friends and party into the night. Barb and Ernie were incredibly generous with their time and offered assistance wherever possible, even ensuring extra staff were on hand for the day of the event to help transition the barn quickly and efficiently due to the rain. The Oak Barn and its staff provided us with our dream wedding venue and was the absolute perfect setting for a perfect wedding.

Also, the owners Barb and Ernie are some of the best people you'll ever meet. They were so helpful and accommodating through the whole planning process and they will help make sure things run on time and smoothly during your big day. My husband and I found The Oak Barn at Loyalty by googling beautiful barn wedding venues in northern Va. It was the last stop of a long wedding venue search weekend and when we turned onto the property it took my breath away. The venue is exquisite with two chandeliers (photos don’t do it justice). The lawn was a beautiful location for the wedding with beautiful hill views, the patio and smaller barn that served as a walk up bar was a beautiful cocktail hour setting, and the barn was the ideal reception venue. Everything at oak barn is set up so your event flows seamlessly from one portion to the next (which was a must have for me). We also chose The Oak Barn at Loyalty because it had a dedicated groom space for my husband and his boys to relax and hangout prior to the ceremony, which is something no other venue had. It also has a beautiful bridal suite for the ladies to get ready as well.The owners, Barb and Ernie, were a joy to work with from the second I contacted them. They made us feel like family and that they truly were invested in our event and it being perfect for us. All the thought and attention to detail they put into each event truly ensured we had the best vendors and that the night went off without a hitch.

If you’re looking for the most absolutely gorgeous barn in the DMV you need to book The Oak Barn!Working with The Oak Barn for our fall wedding was an absolute dream. Not only is the whole rustic-elegant aesthetic absolutely stunning, but the owners Ernie and Barb make the process as seamless as possible. My husband and I felt as if we were a part of their family with how connected they were. They helped us with a lot of things along the way. The communication was outstanding and they always got back to us about everything we needed. They didn’t just feel like a vendor, they felt like part of our family and just wanted the best for our wedding!When it comes to the location, there truly is nothing more beautiful. The mountains in the background are absolutely gorgeous. The grounds are neatly maintained with beautiful plants and greenery. The stone fireplace is such a nice gathering area for guests. The cobblestone patio was perfect for our cocktail hour and a place for guests to get a bit of air! Everything about this venue was absolutely perfect. We couldn’t imagine myself getting married anywhere else.

The owners Barb and Ernie are amazing and were always helpful when we rented their facilities for daughter’s wedding reception. They were very quick to respond to all our requests. The fact that we could rent their venue from Friday morning through noon Sunday played an important role in our choice. We were able to bring most of the wedding preparation items and do some preliminary setup in Bride’s and Groom’s quarters before Friday’s night rehearsal. On Sunday morning we supervised the rentals’ pick-up, and had time to pick our items without a rush. Having most of the weekend at our disposal allowed us to enjoy ourselves more on the wedding day. The wedding day was everything we wished for our daughter and more. Check with Barb and Ernie for an assortment of tables and chairs, easels and other wedding accessories they might already have on premises before renting. Also worth mentioning they have a list of preferred vendors one might find helpful. We had many compliments from our guests on our choice of location. Indeed, it has a beautiful outside patio, gazebo with fireplace, thoughtfully built spacious barn, and a stunning sunset view as well. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect venue and we sincerely appreciate the time and attention given to us by Barb and Ernie. We highly recommend the Oak Barn at Loyalty!

Ernie and Barb are so welcoming and caring. They took the time to get to know us as a couple and to learn what our dream was for our wedding day. Ernie and Barb were flexible in ways to make sure that everything was exactly the way we wanted it to be. Even with rain on our wedding day, they made sure that we could have the feel of an outdoor wedding! By the end of the whole experience, The Oak Barn wasn’t just someplace where we decided to get married, but it felt like family. We hope that others get to share the same experience that we had and we will always cherish this special place.

I truly lack the words to describe our experience at The Oak Barn! To say that Ernie and Barb are the best is an understatement. I am a first time Mother of the Bride and live out of state. I was nervous picking unknown vendors but that ended once I met Ernie and Barb! Our daughter and her now husband found The Oak Barn at Loyalty searching wedding wire. They were so excited to see the venue after discovering it was just a few miles from their home. It was the second venue they toured and as soon as they finished their first tour they looked no more! The Oak Barn at Loyalty became our wedding venue. Every step of the way we were guided and directed by the owners. They offered for us to stop in and visit any time we were in the area. We visited a couple of times and we always felt welcomed. They are the kindest, most friendly people and never once made us feel we couldn’t ask questions. They helped us choose other vendors who were as professional and knowledgeable as they are about the wedding business. The Oak Barn itself is beyond beautiful! From the bridal suite, outdoor setting and of course the unbelievable amazing barn! We would recommend to anyone looking for a top shelf venue with amazing owners to look no further than The Oak Barn at Loyalty. We had guests from many states and everyone was in awe of this venue! It truly does offer all that a bride and groom would be looking for in a venue! We also had our rehearsal dinner on site and it was beautiful on the patio under the bistro lights!

We are the parents of the groom but worked closely with the bride and wedding planner in selecting the venue and planning the wedding.The beauty of this venue is obvious from the pictures, and honestly it was even more beautiful on our wedding weekend. The vibrant color of the barn against the sky, the unspoiled viewscape behind the wedding arch, the approach your guests will take through historic Waterford, the wild turkeys and deer running by as we set up and rehearsed, and the glow as the sun sank over the hills and the lights on the patio came on are all magical. The barn itself is so large and flexible; we moved some guest tables upstairs and it served as a cheery balcony overlooking our dance floor, but you can also move the dancing outside and keep everyone on one floor. The doors can be wide open leaving breathtaking sunset views and plenty of fresh air or closed to keep the air conditioned barn cool and dry if needed.However, none of this compares to the main draw of this venue: the owners Barb and Ernie who built the barn as a labor of love and run it like their clients are family. They were there with us from our first visit , through the long wedding weekend and were still with us the day after helping to carry out our last decorations. They treated our guests like family: when one was overwhelmed by the heat they brought him into their own home next door to recover. There are many lovely venues in Northern Virginia but most are run as companies. We threw a wedding in our own backyard a few years ago, and we were made to feel just as \"at home\" at the Oak Barn. If you can book it, you won't regret it.

If you want a gorgeous space with plenty of room and a beautiful second floor balcony area on a perfect setting with a lovely view of the mountains, look no further. There is also a terrific slate patio and a wonderful covered outdoor fireplace. The owners take great pride in the property, meticulously maintain everything and really care about the couples, their families and guests! We feel so fortunate to have booked at the Oak Barn and would give it many more than 5 stars if we could. Oh, and the bridal suite and space for the groom/groomsmen is also top notch!

We just got married in July 2022 and couldn't have been more pleased with our venue. The Oak Barn at Loyalty was such a beautiful and incredible space to host all of our loved ones! Ernie and Barb, the owners, were extremely helpful and caring. When selecting which venue you want for your wedding, you don't realize how much the owners can impact your experience. Ernie and Barb made our experience the best of our lives and we are forever thankful for all of their guidance and quick responses throughout the entire process! Barb actually took my father's favorite picture of the night of the two of us right before we walked down the aisle. The barn and its surrounding areas are kept immaculate, and they are always updating and enhancing the grounds. It sits up on a hilltop with the most gorgeous views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. We enjoyed the lush backdrop and perfectly centered sunset above the arch for our ceremony! We enjoyed the various outdoor areas for our rehearsal dinner, cocktail hour, and dance floor. We were able to have two bars, an indoor and an outdoor one. They also have four bathrooms which was the perfect amount, we never had a line. An added touch was the access they gave us to the groomsmen and bridesmaids spaces. The groom and the groomsmen were able to congregate in a room off the host's onsite house and play foosball and have a few drinks before pictures. The bride and bridesmaids have an entire suite complete with a bathroom, closets, and mini fridge to have breakfast, lunch, and hair and make-up done before pictures. There wasn't a single thing relating to the venue or the owners that we felt was lacking and we don't have a single complaint. We wish we could do it all over again! :)

It was love at first sight with this venue, and we couldn't have been happier with how incredible it was for our wedding. From the gorgeous barn itself, to the abundant outdoor space for the reception and cocktail hour, to the surrounding views and backdrops, it was all beautiful. We loved the option to put our dance floor outside in the great summer weather, but having the barn as an available rain plan with no need for additional tenting was icing on the cake. All day long we had wedding guests commenting on how lovely the venue was, and we couldn't have agreed more!

The Oak Barn at Loyalty is a dream wedding venue. Barbara and Ernie were incredibly hospitable, let us come and see the venue time after time, and treated us like family. The venue itself is stunning, spacious, and well-kempt. The views are incredible, and the sunsets over the property are amazing. All our guests were in awe of our venue, and we could not have been more pleased in working with the Oak Barn. It rained all morning on our wedding day, but the Oak Barn offers a fantastic rain backup inside the barn (which also saved us thousands of dollars from having to rent a tent). The rain stopped around noon and the sod they have strategically placed on the ceremony site dried quickly and was completely stable, safe, and not in the slightly bit muddy, slippery, or wet by the time of our photos and ceremony. Our guests were able to spread out to use all their outdoor space – including the covered fireplace lounge, the cornhole area, and the cocktail patio (which is so charming with its built-in barn bar and overhead string lights). They have separate getting ready spaces for the bridal party and the groomsmen, with fantastic natural lighting for the makeup artists and a pool table for the guys to hang out. There are plenty of beautiful spaces for photographs, both inside and out. Barb and Ernie are constantly making improvements and it’s clear how much they care about both their guests and their property. Other venues we toured felt like “wedding factories” but we truly felt at home on the Oak Barn property. Barb and Ernie are great with prompt communication and answering any questions from us or our vendors. They have clear and easy to follow rules and were very knowledgeable and flexible in working with our vendor team. They also provide referrals for recommended caterers, photographers, and any other vendors you need help finding. The venue comes with plenty of tables and seating options for both ceremony and reception, which also helped us keep down costs in rentals. Our safety deposit was returned the day after the wedding, and they left us the sweetest wedding gift. Overall, we only have great things to say about the Oak Barn and would highly recommend it to anyone!

The Oak Barn at Loyalty was our dream venue! My partner and I got engaged in spring 2019 and when we moved to the DC area, we knew we wanted to plan our wedding out in VA - somewhere with great views, lots of green space, and an outdoor space! We got so lucky with The Oak Barn and knew immediately upon pulling up the driveway that we wanted to book with them. Barb and Ernie are a dream team and made planning our wedding at their venue such a smooth process. Being able to use all of the decor items and furniture they provide was wonderful and they kept us updated as their offerings grew and changed. We had to postpone our original May 2021 date and they were super accommodating and kind. Our day finally happened on June 4 and we had such a blast! Our guests all commented on how beautiful the venue was, especially the views from the barn, and how smoothly the night went! Even for us as the couple, we knew we were in good hands because of all the planning and coordination that went into making our day as stress free as possible. We would get married here every year if we could! Highly recommend booking with The Oak Barn!

Picturesque views, peaceful and serene setting, beautifully maintained gardens, and gracious and detailed orientated hosts/owners! This is everything you could want in your wedding venue and Barb and Ernie (venue owners) make the process easy. They work with you if you have any special requests. We had access to the venue for the entire weekend which makes the days leading up to it less stressful. They do not rush you through your wedding day events (rehearsal and big day) and work to make sure everything is just as you imagined. The property is maintained to make all your photo dreams come true. The inside of the barn has the perfect amount of space to be cozy and comfortable with your guests without feeling claustrophobic and air conditioning to keep it cool in the warmer months. The upstairs makes for great pictures during wedding activities. The property is not close to a busy road so you do not hear any car traffic (great if you have a videographer) and allows you to hear during the ceremony without amplification. We could call and come up to the venue at any point to do a walk throughs with other vendors, or to measure for rental pieces. Barb and Ernie were there to welcome and chat any time. We loved our experience at The Oak Barn at Loyalty and would highly recommend to anyone. We look forward to being to go back as guests to The Oak Barn in the future.

The Oak Barn at Loyalty was the perfect venue for our April wedding! It was an ideal wedding setting: all of the flowers and plants were in bloom, and the sunset behind the mountains was breathtaking. The Barn itself is beautiful and was just the right size to fit our 125 guests while also feeling intimate. Barb and Ernie are so kind and were wonderful to work with. They gave us the freedom to decorate and set things up to our preferences, making the space our own. After touring many other wedding venues throughout Loudoun, none compared to the Oak Barn. It was everything we were looking for. I can't imagine our wedding having been anywhere else!

We recently hosted our daughter’s wedding at The Oak Barn at Loyalty, and “magical” is the only word that adequately describes our experience at this venue. From our very first meeting with Barb and Ernie Smith, we had the sense that this spot would be the ideal location. The views are simply breathtaking in every direction, the two-story barn is beautiful inside and out, and the patio for cocktail hour or outdoor dining is gorgeous. We took full advantage of the bridal suite and groom’s quarters which provided a delightful and stress-free environment for the bridal party on the day of the wedding. In addition to the outstanding setting, the service and attention to detail from the Oak Barn team was world class. We honestly felt that the wedding was as important to them as it was to us. Everything about this day far exceeded our expectations.

Barb and Ernie run an immaculate and perfectly \"homie\" Oak Barn venue perfect for any wedding. My now wife and I booked with them in May of 2020 for our wedding about two years out because we were worried it would get scooped up by other happy couple's trying to maximize their perfect day. The Oak barn itself is breathtaking two story barn with large rolling doors on every facing wall, and overlooking patios to the blue Ridge Mountains in the background. Both the groomsmen and Bridesmaids suites are perfect touches for hanging out, getting ready, and having a special moment with your chosen wedding party before the celebrations really begin. the patio offers a perfect location for cocktail hour, and we used it for a rehearsal dinner as well! We loved that we had the venue to ourselves for Friday rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception.

This venue is truly unlike any other in Northern Virginia. The views are unbeatable, the barn is new and modern with a touch of rustic. Barb and Ernie were the most gracious and accommodating people. They have thought of all of the things that someone would want or need on their wedding day. They included chairs, barrel tables, tables and more! The bridal suite is clean, modern and spacious. Not only is The Oak Barn stunning, but Barb and Ernie have thought of everything. The bridal suite was the perfect place for us to get relax and get ready for our big day. The groom and groomsmen even have a place to hang out and get ready. The views and sunsets from the ceremony site can't be beat. The barn is absolutely beautiful with every detail thought out down the chandeliers. Barb and Ernie have so many things on site that you don't have to worry about renting little things tables and easels. The make everything so seamless. While all of these amenities are great, its's Barb and Ernie that really set the venue apart. They are willing to support you in every possible way. They will do anything they can to make sure your day is memorable and goes off without a hitch. We can't thank them enough for the hospitality.If you're looking for a barn venue, look you further. This location really is an absolute dream come true!

I don't think an online review could ever accurately express how incredible this venue is, or how kind and accommodating Ernie and Barb are. My husband and I dreamed of getting married in Leesburg, but by the time we were engaged and ready to choose a venue, it was almost impossible to find an available one due to post-COVID reschedules. When I reached out to the Oak Barn at Loyalty, and told them how hard we had been looking and how much we hoped to be married in such a beautiful place, Barb and Ernie quickly found a way to deliver my dream. They opened up a Friday date that was previously blocked off, and immediately scheduled a walkthrough to make sure we could see the venue before booking. There was no doubt in our minds that this stunning, two-story barn, would be the place we would start our forever. Fast forward through a year of timely communication, flexibility towards our busy 'senior-year-of-college' schedules, and sweet encouragement and celebrations, our wedding week arrived!! We were able to have one last walkthrough with all of our vendors, and nail down everything from tables and chairs, to space for our wedding parties, to making sure the grass was cut to our liking!! Every detail that we could have thought of (and more) was covered by Barb and Ernie. Expectations and rules were clearly communicated so that the day of, everything ran smoothly. Furthermore, they were quick to check in on us and offer their assistance to us and our wedding team, even though they had no obligation. I truly feel as though Ernie and Barb became our friends, and it was such a joy to have them there to celebrate on our big day. On top of wonderful hosts, this venue has one of the most beautiful overlooks of the Blue Ridge mountains, as well as stunning space inside the barn and on the cocktail patio/fire pit. My dream was to host a classy/modern wedding with a touch of rustic, and this venue delivered. Like I said, an online review could never touch the surface of the love and joy we experienced having our wedding here. But my hope to all the brides reading this is that you get to experience the same thing we did at the Oak Barn at Loyalty.

My now husband and I chose the Oak Barn for their amazing view, gorgeous property and accommodations, and for their sweet owners! Our April 2021 wedding was cancelled and postponed to this October and we are so glad we got to have our wedding with the fall colors. Barb and Ernie are the most sweetest and involved couple for their property and venue, they share their main house and bridal suite with our bridal party, which was so wonderful and comfortable. They were very accommodating to when we had to postpone and made sure we were taken care of. Everything about the property was exactly what we wanted for our wedding and we wouldn't have it any other way! Thanks so much Barb and Ernie!! Our day was magical at the Oak Barn <3

The Oak Barn at Loyalty is the most perfectly wonderful wedding venue with such warmth and beauty both inside and out! The owners, Barb and Ernie, are incredibly kind, friendly, and welcoming, and we fell in love with everything from the very beginning. We just got married at The Oak Barn on September 12, 2021 and feel so blessed as we can’t imagine a more perfect space for our wedding. The barn is a combination of rustic & glam with beautiful chandeliers and sparkly twinkle lights. The nature surrounding the barn is so picturesque and the mountain views are just stunning! There are many creative places for photos and videography, as well as ample space for guests to spread out and mingle. We had about an 85-person wedding and felt that the barn was a wonderful size for that amount, even though the space can easily accommodate a much higher guest count. We love the two-story aspect that the barn provides, which is so unique to their venue and one of our favorite features of the barn. When researching venues and considering the possibility of inclement weather, we were really hoping to find a place where we would be happy with both the indoor and outdoor ceremony spaces. The Oak Barn, by far, has the most perfect rain plan with its simply gorgeous 2-level interior where guests can be comfortably seated, as well as the fact that the doors on all four sides of the barn can be opened, creating an open-air feel. We loved keeping these doors open during our reception because it gave us a bit of the beautiful outdoors, inside. Barb and Ernie have put so much thought and care into each detail and they are so gracious with their time and resources. We so appreciated their super helpful vendor recommendations, the adorable and “homey” groom and bridal suites that they allowed us to use, and the decor provided such as cute signage, barrels, farmhouse tables, etc. We can not say enough about how amazing and generous Barb and Ernie are, and we are so grateful for their support throughout the entire planning process. The Oak Barn at Loyalty was the most perfect venue in every way for our wedding day, and we wish we could experience it again and again! (And if we could move in to the barn itself, that would be a dream!)

First let me say, the owners of The Oak Barn at Loyalty, Ernie and Barbara, are phenomenal. You could not find better owners to work with, which is more important than you may originally think. Ernie and Barbara host weddings because they love the joy it brings to each couple, it is more than just a business to them. They listen to what your envisioning and make it happen! They are there during every step of the process and welcome any questions or concerns you may have.Not only are the owners great, but the barn and venue is incredible. The ceremony space looks right over mountains with plenty of trees, something I was specifically looking for. The inside of the barn has been built with intricate detail from each beam of wood, to the chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. If you are looking for the perfect place for the wedding of your dreams, THIS IS IT!My wedding was postponed due to COVID-19. Ernie and Barbara moved mountains to help all the brides who were, and are still, affected by the Pandemic. I'm so thankful I signed with owners who don't just see this as a business, but care about each bride who has a wedding at their venue! My Wedding day could have not have gone any smoother! I have a type A personality and really care about the small details. With Ernie, Barbara and all my vendors working together, there was nothing I would have changed about the day. From the minute I toured the venue and spoke with Ernie and Barbara, I knew our wedding would be in great hands and there was no better choice for a venue!

Oak Barn is a gorgeous venue as I chose it for my wedding. Unfortunately, my fiance and I were faced with the difficult decision to cancel our May 2022 wedding due to the US border closure. My fiance is Irish and half of the attendees are not allowed in the country at this time. Weddings are so expensive so we could not risk that amount of money with half of the guests unable to attend (including my fiance's immediate family). We provided a generous 8 month cancellation so that the venue could be rebooked (which it will for a Saturday in May). Oak Barn was the only vendor we worked with who were not willing to return the deposit even though they plan to rebook the venue for our date, so profiting even more from our cancellation. I would understand not issuing a refund if we cancelled last minute or contingent upon a rebooking; however, we are losing our $3k deposit completely and Oak Barn will profit another $12k for a new wedding. Their reason for not refunding \"the border will probably be open\" - the border has been closed for 1 year and 6 months. We are not going to risk an $85k wedding on a 50/50 chance that half of the people can't come.

Absolutely amazing, wonderful, and magical in every way! The Oak Barn at Loyalty is truly an architectural masterpiece in the rolling hills of Loudoun Co. It is a perfect wedding venue. Our daughter, Katie, discovered the Oak Barn at Loyalty and had planned an April 2020 wedding...then, Covid happened. Although terrible in so many ways, it actually brought out the very best in the owners, Earnie and Barbara. We had to postpone, plan, and postpone and plan again and had her wedding in July 2021...and through it all Earnie and Barbara were gracious, caring, and accommodating...everything you would want in someone running a business ...especially a wedding venue where every detail matters. We felt much more like friends than clients or customers. Its rare when you meet people, that after a few hours of talking with them you feel like you've known them for years...and ever more rare that you wish you had! But that's Earnie and Barbara. It's just who they are. Our daughter, the bride, was treated as though hers was the only wedding happening. Everything at Oak Barn and with Ernie and Barbara was about making her day the most special day possible. The wedding was outdoors overlooking the mountains and the reception in the barn with dancing outdoors in the courtyard. Everything was just beautiful! We were not rushed in and out, we had plenty of time for all of our events including the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner the night before - which was also quite magical. We genuinely felt cared about in every way possible to make our daughter's wedding a wonderful, special...once in a lifetime event. As Father of the Bride, I could not have asked for anything more!

Choosing the Oak Barn for our wedding venue was the best decision we could have made beyond deciding to get married in the first place. After all the anguish of rescheduling our early June 2020 wedding date twice, my husband and I were finally married on July 31, 2021. We literally planned and replanned everything for years due to the pandemic, so there was obviously a lot of pressure and built-up expectations on the day, and I just couldn't have been happier with how everything turned out!Barb and Ernie treated us like family throughout the entire process. Their caring and personal approach to the wedding business stands out from the crowd and sets their venue apart from the rest. They were so flexible and supportive in working with us to secure new dates and to make sure we could have the wedding of our dreams, even if we had to wait a little longer to make it happen. They even went so far as to sacrifice their only ‘off’ weekend to give us the outdoor summer weekend wedding we wanted during what has probably been the craziest wedding year ever. Barb and Ernie, THANK YOU just doesn’t say enough, truly.We celebrated both indoors and out with just under 100 guests. There was plenty of space to spread out, so everyone felt comfortable, but I also greatly appreciated the extra health and safety measures that were taken to make the Oak Barn a safe indoor environment, including the extra cleaning and especially the new air filtration system. That gave me peace of mind that we could be indoors together to cool off when needed and let sensitive guests stay out of the sun, as well as having dinner served inside. Our ceremony took place under the arch in the grassy field, and we danced the night away on the gorgeous patio under the romantic string lights. It was wholly magical and worth the wait!I loved the getting ready areas provided for both bride and groom’s parties. The beautiful suite above the garage for the bride’s side was perfect for my 5 bride’s people and one groom’s woman to have our hair and makeup done, enjoy brunch, visit with the flower girls and moms, and still have enough space when it was time for the photographer and videographer to come in and capture it all. Barb even graciously brought us some serving utensils from her own kitchen when we realized we had forgotten to bring them. My husband and I highly, HIGHLY recommend the Oak Barn as the venue of choice in the area. Our guests have given us so many compliments on the venue, and our wedding there was simply perfect. Except for the whole pandemic thing, I wouldn’t change a single thing.

From start to finish our experience was terrific; the owners Ernie and Barbara Smith were great to work with and thoroughly professional; though they have very specific parameters they impose to ensure the property is protected, these are absolutely reasonable and no more rigorous than you would find at many facilities. It's obviously a labor of love for them; we would absolutely recommend their facility and them to others seeking a very special venue of scenic beauty and (particularly during a time of pandemic) cleanliness.

We couldn't have dreamed of a better wedding venue! Two years ago, my now husband and I began the search, and The Oak Barn was the first venue we saw and we were among the earliest to book just after it opened! The barn itself is truly a carpentry masterpiece but meeting Barbara and Ernie really made it an easy decision. They are the warmest, most supportive, genuine people and right away it felt like we had met extended family. This was evident throughout the entire (extended) process and we are so grateful to have had them in our corner. We had to reschedule twice and they were extremely accommodating and easygoing despite the rollercoaster. Somewhat ironically after postponing and enduring a full extra year of anticipation... it did rain. Thank goodness we booked an indoor/outdoor venue that was just as spectacular on the inside -- my ceremony was indoors and it was still beautiful. Luckily we had the opportunity to take all of our pictures with mountain views afterward. Inside is climate controlled, meaning our guests were totally comfortable despite the weather. There are some great outdoor areas - like the fireplace - and it's surrounded by gorgeous scenery (my guests took full advantage of photo ops!) Barbara and Ernie have almost all the rentals in stock which also made it super easy not having to work with a third party vendor for tables, chairs, and even some decorative items! All this to say: I highly recommend from an event logistics perspective. I can't even ballpark the number of compliments we received from our guests on the venue choice -- everyone was SO impressed! The Oakbarn at Loyalty is one of the most beautiful venues for an indoor/outdoor romantic wedding. The scenery surrounding the barn; the touches that the owners, Ernie and Barbara Smith, have incorporated; and the professionalism/hospitality shown to the customer is all five-star quality.My daughter and her husband were married there mid-July and it was just beautiful. I’m not talking so much about the decorations; the ambiance of the venue could not go unnoticed. The barn is so beautifully designed and can easily adapt to any décor imaginable. The scenery was breathtaking with a view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The accommodations for the bridal team were spacious and very comfortable, laid back with a touch of class. There’s no doubt a lot of love went into the design and vision of this wonderful Amish built oak barn and surrounding estate. That is the type of venue my daughter and her fiancé chose and I’m so glad they did. I would recommend Oakbarn at Loyalty to anyone. If you want a truly romantic wedding, this is the place.

I would highly recommend the Oak Barn to anyone looking for a gorgeous outdoor/indoor wedding venue in the northern Virginia area! The venue itself is wonderful, it’s very secluded with a great view of the mountains and the barn is extremely nice and spacious. The space also has something for everyone. Outdoors, it has a lovely stone patio, an outdoor fireplace with a pavilion, lawn games, and a grassy lawn. Indoors, the well-air conditioned, two-level barn makes for a great rain plan and provides guests plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the views of the mountains. Having a bride and groom’s suite on-site was also extremely convenient!The owners Barb and Ernie were such a pleasure to work with every step of the way. They’re so easygoing but very proactive at the same time, it’s clear that they really care about every couple getting married and are invested in making it the perfect event. They were always quick to respond and were very flexible in letting us come to the venue anytime, and would always be present to answer any questions and just chat in general. Even on our wedding day when our coordinator arrived late, Ernie was there to sign for the rental deliveries to ensure everything kept moving smoothly. Furthermore, we can’t emphasize enough how wonderful it was to have access to the venue for the entire weekend, such that we could drop off decor/alcohol on Friday and pick them up on Sunday, allowing us to save a lot of money and headache! Barb and Ernie even gave us a beautiful stone tablet with the Oak Barn insignia as a wedding gift! We can’t recommend the Oak Barn at Loyalty enough, it’s a gorgeous venue run by the most wonderful couple!!

The Oak Barn is gorgeous, both inside and outside. My son was married there last weekend and everything was perfect. This was due in large part to the owners - Ernie and Barb Smith. They give the same care and attention as they would if it were their own child getting married. Due to COVID, the wedding was rescheduled twice. Ernie and Barb worked with the couple to find a new date quickly, and quickly responded to any inquiries. The barn is gorgeous and Ernie and Barb are always adding new things to make it even more special. Many people commented on how beautiful everything was. I highly recommend the Oak Barn to anyone who is planning a wedding.

When we booked this gorgeous venue in February 2020, who could've imagined what the next 15 months would bring? But we remained optimistic and ended up with the wedding of our daughter's dreams just a week after COVID restrictions were lifted in VA. Throughout the year of uncertainty, we had good friends and allies in venue owners Barb and Ernie. They were a total delight to work with -- quick to respond, supportive in every way, and always ready to go the extra mile. Ernie's comment to me, that he would make sure everything was handled as if it were his own daughter's wedding, was sincere and true. We honestly felt like family.The barn is absolutely beautiful and meticulously maintained, as are the grounds. Barb and Ernie obviously take tremendous pride in what they've built here (not all that long ago) and work constantly to keep it that way. They've thought of everything, right down to the comfortably separate bride and groom suites, a pristine patio with bistro lights, and a permanent ceremony arch that highlights a spectacular view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. They may not be responsible for the sunsets, but can I just say WOW.From start to finish, Barb and Ernie were there for us and our 170 guests. The wedding day was hot (90+ degrees) and the 17-year cicadas had emerged. In the morning, they cooled down the barn to 62 degrees so that it would be comfortable later in the day. A couple hours before the ceremony, they fogged the field where the ceremony would be held to chase away any insects, big or small. And then, they were the ones to open the barn doors for my husband and daughter to begin their walk down the aisle.This venue and this couple are perfection -- and this mother-of-the-bride is forever grateful!

My husband and I got married at Oak Barn this June and could not have been happier with our choice of venues. As far as planning went, the owners Barb & Ernie we so accommodating and helpful. I loved that we had the venue for 3 days so we were able to utilize it for set up, rehearsal dinner, and were able to come back the day after the wedding to collect our things! Not only was it so helpful for logistics, the venue itself is absolutely STUNNING! Even if we would have had to stay indoors the entire time due to rain, we knew we would be happy with the venue. Thankfully, we were able to have it outside and had the most gorgeous sunset come out. String lights are my love language too, which they had on the entire event!! We got so many comments from our guests on what a beautiful venue it was. I could not recommend Oak Barn more!!!

Let's start with the amazing venue owners, Barb & Ernie. Pulling up to the venue it speaks for itself, but what really sold my husband and I were Barb & Ernie. They are the sweetest couple who would truly do anything to help you and work with you to make your wedding dreams come true. I emailed them countless times with so many questions and they were quick to respond and help me through any issues I was having. We also visited the venue quite often for walk throughs, burying bourdon on property, etc. and Barb & Ernie were more than accommodating. The thing that impressed me the most was how calming they were to my husband and I. The night before our wedding (rehearsal dinner on property) the power at the venue went out due to 60 MPH winds and a fallen tree. They were both reassuring that everything was going to be okay and even went out the night of the wedding and bought a third back up generator to make sure we were all covered. Come morning of the wedding, the power was still out but Barb & Ernie kicked on the generators for us and we seriously went through the day (until power was restored at 11am) as if nothing was wrong. Its just a true testament to the type of people they both are. They take such pride in their venue and it truly shows through how beautiful it is and how kind they are to everyone who walks onto their property. I wish I could relive my wedding day here every single weekend. It was truly the most perfect day! From the outdoor patio seating, the newly built fireplace area, and the breathtaking views, I cannot think of a better venue or better owners to work with to make our day a dream come true!

Like other brides, I was on a mission to find the perfect rustic barn venue in the DMV area that wouldn't require I cash out my 401k. When we first viewed The Oak Barn at Loyalty on Instagram, I had a gut feeling that it was the perfect venue. We had already toured six other venues and felt they were good options, but didn't have that 'ah-ha' moment that it was the one. When we actually toured the space, I knew it was everything. Everything at The Oak Barn is perfectly designed in a way that it seems every detail was considered and constructed. Between the ceremony space positioned in front of the Blue Ridge mountains, the patio with bistro lights for cocktail hour and dancing under the stars, and the large barn doors that open to bring the outside in, this space really is a dream come true. What really elevates the space, however, are the venue owners Barb & Ernie! They are the sweetest, more welcoming couple that makes you feel like family from the moment you meet them. After our tour, they invited us into their home to tour the Grooms' space and offered sweets and drinks. We ended up talking for hours and it was one of those perfect moments in wedding planning where the decision is easy. Lastly, Barb & Ernie have been so flexible with COVID and are passionate about ensuring their couples have the wedding of their dream. We were supposed to get married May 2021 but still didn't feel comfortable having a large gathering. Barb & Ernie worked with us to find a new date and were so understanding about the situation. I've heard many horror stories from other brides about their postponements and we are so grateful we didn't experience that. At the risk of continuing to gush over the space, I'll close by saying booking the Oak Barn at Loyalty will be the easiest decision you'll make (separate from saying 'yes' to your partner)!

When we set out on choosing a wedding venue over a year ago, we visited many venues in the DC metro area that did not meet our needs and desires. Many of the venues gave us a “wedding factory” vibe and we felt rushed through tours. When we finally toured the Oak Barn and met Ernie and Barb, we knew right away that this was the venue of our dreams. The Oak Barn presented an ideal indoor and outdoor event space with a lot of unique advantages such as climate control, a picturesque ceremony site with beautiful landscape views, a stellar indoor rain plan, and a gorgeous patio for dancing and cocktails. We were impressed that they offered more time for weddings than any other venue that we visited without charging extra fees.From the very beginning, Ernie and Barbara treated us like we were part of the family. Our wedding was scheduled for June 6th, 2020, and due to the pandemic we had no choice but to postpone. Ernie and Barb were very accommodating and worked with us to select a new date that would allow us to still plan for the wedding of our dreams. We are now planning for a Summer 2021 wedding, and we couldn’t be happier that we chose the Oak Barn. It has been a tough year for everyone but Barb and Ernie were compassionate and thoughtful in working with us to meet our needs as they have continued to evolve. Some of our friends and family suggested we change plans, get married at the courthouse and throw a much smaller party, but we opted to hold out for our new date at the Oak Barn, and we know it will be worth the wait!

My now husband and I wanted a rustic-elegant look for our fall wedding and the Oak Barn at Loyalty was EVERYTHING we were looking for and more! We knew from the moment we drove onto the property that this was the place we wanted to get married... the barn, the views, the bridal and grooms suites, the patio, the outdoor fireplace and the super sweet owners make this venue so magical! All of our other vendors were so impressed with how well thought out the space is, which really helped make our wedding day go on without a hitch. The owners, Barbara and Ernie, helped us every step of the way during the planning process and were around the day of the wedding to help with anything they could. We cannot get over how beautiful the backdrop at the venue was for all of our photos from our wedding day, there truly is not a bad place to take a photo. Our wedding was almost two weeks ago, and my husband and I still can’t think of anything we would have changed. We are looking forward to going back and visiting Barbara and Ernie at the Oak Barn at Loyalty very soon!

Going with Oak Barn is the best wedding planning decision you will ever make. The owners made our entire experience feel so at ease and the venue is absolutely amazing. If you’re looking for a venue with gorgeous view of the mountains, epic sunsets and a timeless look, this is the place for you. One of my favorite new features of the venue is their outdoor fireplace area where you can sit and relax at the end of the night with a roof over your head in case it rains. Great place for s'mores! Barb and Ernie were so flexible with the pandemic throwing a wrench in our wedding plans. We decided to do a small ceremony there with just immediate family in 2020 and moved our reception to 2022. As out-of-state residents, they were able to accommodate our schedules every time we wanted to call them or visit the property. We are so thankful for them and we can’t wait to host our 2022 reception at Oak Barn!

The Oak at Loyalty has everything you need to have the perfect fairytale wedding. We had the most amazing September wedding here. Barb and Ernie were the best to work with, they are were so understanding and flexible during the entire planning process especially given the current pandemic circumstances. We were especially grateful for the abundant space that this venue offers both outdoors and indoors for our guests to spread out and feel comfortable attending a wedding during these times. The ceremony setting is beautiful with a view of the mountains and the patio is the perfect space have cocktail hour or to have the dance floor under the stars. The barn has fantastic space for the reception with two beautiful chandeliers that add the perfect amount of class and glam. There is also an amazing loft area for guests to look down on the festivities both inside and outside.The venue has an incredible bridal suite with ample room for the bridal party to get ready. There is also a great space for the groom and groomsmen to hang out and get ready which many other venues in the area neglect. My husband and I looked at 9 venues total and the Oak Barn and Loyalty was the last venue we visited, but we knew almost instantly that this was the perfect venue for our wedding. Barb and Ernie have thought of everything that a venue needs for you to have the perfect and stress free wedding. We couldn’t have imagined having our wedding anywhere else! We honestly had the best time and so did our guests, we didn’t want the night to end! The Oak Barn at Loyalty allowed us to have the wedding of our dreams.

I can't say enough about The Oak Barn at Loyalty! From the moment we set eyes on the big beautiful barn and all the beautiful space around it, we fell in love! And the same goes for the owners, Ernie and Barb. My husband and I had visited many venues before The Oak Barn and never felt as welcomed as Barb and Ernie made us feel from the moment we stepped on the property. So that paired with the actual venue made it an easy choice for us to have our wedding there and I'm so glad we made that decision. Our guests felt the same way about the venue and one other engaged couple wanted to have their wedding there from just seeing it at our wedding! As many brides and grooms know, planning a wedding during covid isn't easy but Ernie and Barb were so supportive along the way while working with date changes and new covid guidance coming out every week from the government. We also loved all the space that the Oak Barn had as it helped keep people safe and socially distanced (from ceremony to reception) and outside as much as possible which was very important to our guests.Beyond that, all the beautiful little touches of bistro lights on the patio, chandeliers in the barn, the ceremony space with an arch and looking out to the Blue Ridge Mountains, a lovely Bridal Suite, tons of green area to take amazing wedding photos, the warm color of the barn itself... it made for such a beautiful backdrop to our special day. When planning our wedding, I didn't want to have a wedding in a hotel and/or banquet room as it seemed too cold and impersonal. Choosing The Oak Barn truly celebrated my husband and I's love of nature and created an experience that was filled with warmth, love and beauty. If I could have all my life event celebrations here, I would!

When we first found the Oak Barn at Loyalty searching the internet for wedding venues, I remember the pictures of the venue looked beautiful.Then, after seeing it in person on our tour I was blown away. Between the beauty of the venue and the warmth of the owners, Ernie and Barbara, we knew we had to book with them. We got married at the Oak Barn at Loyalty in August 2020 and could not have been happier!The owners did not cut any corners making the space look stunning and function well for weddings. While you could easily do a 200+ guest wedding in the space, it doesn't feel too big either for smaller groups (our ~80 guests fit nicely in the space). Outdoors the ceremony space looks out over the blue ridge mountains, making for gorgeous pictures and great views for guests. Many of our guests enjoyed taking in these views on the deck of the Oak Barn during the reception if they weren't big dancers. The outdoor patio space is perfect for cocktail hour, and looks so pretty at dusk when the bistro lights turn on above. Ernie and Barbara are kind, accommodating, and helpful throughout the planning process. They're the kind of people you genuinely enjoy talking to. They clearly love being wedding venue owners and are constantly making upgrades to the venue to even further improve the space. Between the time we booked and got married, they added farm tables/chairs, chandeliers, and other pieces of decor. They also have a bridal suite on the property that made things super easy for my wife on the wedding day.One key differentiator to note about Oak Barn is that they let you book whatever vendors you want. I didn't learn this until we started our venue search process, but many other larger venues in the area require you to go with their preferred vendor list. This can limit your options and drastically increase costs. My wife and I found this flexibility very useful as we worked our way through the planning process booking other vendors. That said, Ernie and Barbara do have some excellent recommended vendors if you are looking for guidance. The vendors they recommended to us that we used were awesome, they will not steer you wrong!Overall, I could not be happier that we got married at the Oak Barn at Loyalty! The venue is beautiful, the owners are great, and your guests will be in awe on your wedding day!

I got married at Oak Barn at Loyalty two weeks ago and my wedding was an absolute dream!! The owners are the sweetest and most caring people who clearly put a lot of thought into every little detail of their venue. Guests were commenting about how beautiful the views were (you get the beautiful wine-country views), and it was a GREAT space for anything we wanted to do. We had the ceremony and cocktail hour outside and we opened up three of the large barn doors once it started raining and we were inside for dinner and dancing. The owners also have a variety of gorgeous decor to help adorn the sweetheart table, accent tables, etc., which made for beautiful fine touches!My fiance and I booked the venue a year and a half ago before COVID-19 hit, and we could not have been happier we chose this venue considering the circumstances. Had it not rained, we planned to bring everyone back on their large, beautiful patio after dinner for dancing, but with the rain we kept it indoors. That said, the owners recently installed UV air purifiers, which made the space even safer for our guests. We loved everything about the space--the catering area in the smaller barn was so perfect with the window for a bar. People loved going out to get their drinks and catch some air. I could not say enough positive things about this venue. For us, booking there was the easiest decision we made. The moment we saw the space we fell in love with it and couldn't picture us getting married anywhere else. No other Northern Virginia venue could compare to the Oak Barn!

Barbara and Ernie were very hospitable and helped us along the way to create the best possible wedding day. Their communication was perfect and even straightened out a hiccup from our vendor that saved the day! The venue is stunning, and they accommodated every request as best as possible. Extremely professional.

The overall vibe was most important to us, and The Oak Barn at Loyalty has a vibe that is just right! You cannot beat the fresh air, the privacy, the temperature controlled barn, and not to mention... the built in contingency plan! It's the venue that really leaves you with nothing to worry about in terms of \"what ifs?\" it's all thought of, Barb & Ernie have you covered. Their quality of service comes naturally, and will put you at ease. They are so responsive, and the flexibility that they offer takes so much stress out of a process that can, unfortunately, be stressful at times. A true/great value. Trust your guts! We did, and our day was exceptional - just as we imagined it would be. Barb & Ernie will inevitably feel like family.... we honestly forgot that we even paid them (don't worry, we did;). Point being - they are so easy to work with and the whole experience is worth every penny. Our wedding day = absolutely priceless!!

Our daughter had her reception at the Oak Barn in Nov 19. The venue is absolutely stunning. From the moment we met the owners, they treated us like family. Our daughter lives in the Midwest and Barb and Ernie did everything they could to accommodate her. It was so clear their only desire was to ensure our daughter had the wedding of her dreams. Look no further; they will make your dreams come true too!

We were so blessed to have found this gem of a venue! It is the most beautiful backdrop that you could have for your wedding with incredible people that run it. They were willing to work with us and always available to answer any questions that we had. I can't imagine our wedding having been at anywhere else!

I couldn’t not express more how amazing this venue was for our wedding. It was a dream come true. To the barn , to the outside patio, and to the ceremony, it was the best place to get married. Barbara & Ernie were the most sweetest and kindest people as well. They really made the venue like our home and were always there for suggestion. I will always recommend this venue to anyone that is getting married 😊

Barbara and Ernie the owners, we’re so accommodating to all our needs. They worked with us throughout the whole process to make my day exactly what we wanted it to be. We were allowed to visit often for planning purposes, And they even let us make flower arrangements in their basement when we had no other place to do them. Barb and Ernie are very easy to work with and very professional. If you are looking for a wedding venue I would 10 out of 10 recommend them. The views are beautiful, and the barn is exactly like the pictures. There is also a magazine worthy bridal suite which is something I didn’t find any other venue around here.

My husband and I and our families had the best time working with Ernie and Barb to put on our barn reception. Both Ernie and Barb were super friendly - they treated us like family, really! - and were very meticulous in giving us the best possible experience as we planned our reception. You can tell straightaway that they put their heart and soul into this venue and care about you personally as you sort out all things wedding. Ernie is a champ and works overtime to make the bride's dream come true. Barb has an incredible eye for all kinds of decor and has the sweetest, most caring personality. They are also incredibly fun to work with because they are a hoot together and make a great team. I actually enjoyed planning the reception because they were so wonderful to work with. They made me feel at home and helped bring the whole wedding vision together, far more than I could have done on my own. And the venue itself is just wow. With swooping vistas of the Blue Ridge and Virginia countryside, this two-story oak barn is a gem. The effect of the wood and fairy-lights inside is simply magical and can fit a whole host of bridal decoration visions. The outdoor stone patio leads to a charming food prep and service house, which together make for a lovely cocktail hour setting. The bridal suite is also perfect for pre-ceremony photos; the pictures from this area of the venue are some of my favourites, actually! Barb outdid herself in decorating it so that me and my bridesmaids had a splendid, relaxed, and beautiful time before heading to the ceremony. My groom was also able to relax with his friends over foosball and pool in a complete different area of the venue. Ernie and Barb have thought of everything to make this the best experience for the bride and groom. All in all, if you want a barn wedding of any kind, be sure to give Ernie and Barb a ring! It'll certainly be worth your while.

When our daughter got married here 4 years ago, we could never have anticipated just how magical of a day it would be. Little did we know their wedding on our farm would plant a seed for what is now The Oak Barn at Loyalty. It's hard to put into words, but there is something really special about this place.
