Afterward you can head back to the Old Lantern Inn to stay in one of the available eight rooms that offer a romantic charm with private baths. The barn will allow you to host up to 300 of your guests. We highly recommend the Old Lantern as a wedding venue to any engaged couple looking for the ultimate team to make your wedding day/weekend a dream! From our stay at the Inn to the gorgeous location/venue, we could not have asked for a better wedding experience! Julie supported us every step of the way throughout the planning stages and Lisa executed a seamless wedding day, both whom we felt immediately comfortable with and confident in. We appreciate all of the hard work that went into our perfect wedding day, none of which could’ve been made possible without Julie, Lisa, and the whole Old Lantern staff!

Julie, the old lantern, and Lisa were so amazing! Not only are they pros at this, but we didn’t have to worry about a thing! Julie was there every step of the way to ask me questions about things I hadn’t even thought of yet. They are kind, generous, and amazing to work with! And on top of the lovely people, the venue is gorgeous! I can’t recommend the old lantern enough!

Julie and the OLI team made having a wedding so smooth and fun! She is absolutely amazing at what she does. They supported my dream wedding and truly made it come to life. It was a beautiful rustic, cottage core, fairytale wedding and I could not be more thankful for the OLI family for everything.

The feedback that we received from our guests was comprehensive and absolutely tremendous! We feel like they knocked it out of the park on every tier including the inn. One of our favorite comments was that the venue is very classy yet warm and inviting. Lisa, the owner, was an absolute joy to work with and took a very active role throughout the three-day holiday weekend. Ashley, Mary Catherine, and Jocelyn were so much fun behind the bar that it was like they were guests…very, very professional guests! :) Julie Martin Olson was our wedding planner/sensei/spirit guide the months leading up to the wedding, and it was like she had superpowers during the events. Her intuition was uncanny; we would feverishly think of something that we needed just to turn around and find Julie holding it with a big smile on her face. Lisa and Julie’s strong relationships with local vendors allowed us to pluck the crown jewels of the area. We literally couldn’t have asked for anything more. Thank you everyone!Abby & Matt 7.2.23

The Old Lantern in such an amazing venue. We knew it was the one when we first toured the place with Julie. It’s beautiful on its own but it exceeded our expectations on the actual day. Lisa was also very helpful, and we appreciated all her advice and words of encouragement throughout our wedding day. Julie and the Gaujacs made our dream come to life. The barn was so spacious and had various areas inside and outside for guests to mingle and enjoy the views. We also stayed at the Inn with our bridal party which was a fantastic idea. It was so convenient to have stayed on location with our bridesmaids and groomsmen and made for an incredibly fun couple of nights. We also found a lot of our vendors through the Old Lantern which made wedding planning go a lot easier. Our guests spoke very highly of the venue as well. We had the best time on our special day and it was all thanks to the Old Lantern and our wonderful vendors!!

The Old Lantern was everything we could have asked for! Cozy fall atmosphere and beautiful decorations. Julie the planner and Lisa the day-of person were both very kind and professional. They made things easy and took care of hiccups accordingly. We had the ceremony outside under the arbor and the reception inside the barn. The bar area was great for cocktail hour, relaxed but rustic, and they had a pool table which was great for photos. They have a bridal room as well for getting ready, which was spacious and a good place to put all of our extra stuff. It was a great price as well compared to similar venues. I can't recommend it enough really!

Wow-I don't even know where to begin with this review because there are SO many amazing things to highlight about The Old Lantern. The team they have was truly incredible to work with every step of the way. From actually driving up to Vermont (we're Boston locals) to get a private tour, to attending a private dinner to taste the food & drink offerings, to having a million back and forth emails and Zoom calls to help with the planning, and finally leading up to the week and day of-everyone was spectacular and truly so helpful in this normally hectic process. Julie was extremely helpful and actually served more so as an advisor to me and my husband as we had to navigate through making certain decisions and choices and really was exactly the kind of support I needed! Lisa and Roland were also amazing the day of with all of the timing, logistical elements, and of course with serving the most delicious food and drinks. I even got a lot of compliments from our wedding party and guests on the waitstaff and event staff and how friendly and helpful they were!Honestly they went above and beyond everything I had expected we would be getting for the cost of the venue and I am very grateful to have had a perfect wedding because of them!

Where to begin!! Julie and Lisa were amazing!! Julie made sure I had all my questions answered throughout the wedding planning! Lisa was amazing on the day of the wedding, she nailed every detail and we weren’t the only ones who noticed. We got so many compliments from our guests on how amazingly smooth the day went! I knew no matter what I picked for food someone would complain, but with Chef Roland in the kitchen, I didn’t have to worry one second—everyone said how lovely their dinner was! Our experience with the Old Lantern was great from start to finish. The team always tried to make sure we got exactly what we wanted and sometimes knew what we wanted even when we didn't. They made us feel important and unique while also showing us they have done this thousands of times and knew every trick of the trade. This weekend was made so much better because of Julie and Lisa's attention to detail and organization and Roland's amazing food. We felt so at home and so special at the same time and would recommend the Old Lantern to anyone looking for a luxury Vermont experience.

The team at the Old Lantern Inn and Barn was exceptional. They went above and beyond to make sure we were prepared for our big day. Julie and Lisa were an absolute pleasure to work with and made me feel like a guest at my wedding which is huge because I am very detail oriented. Not only was their team amazing but the food was fantastic. One of my friends took about 6 cupcakes home with her because they were the best she had ever had and another friend remarked it was the best chicken he had ever tasted and went back for thirds. The space was perfect and their team helped me with seating charts, room layouts, details/decor, and logistics on any rentals, etc.If you are considering them as a vendor, just say yes. We could not have asked for anything more from their team and they made our black tie barn wedding something from my dreams.

The entire planning process and day was made simple, easy, and completely stress free. I loved how timely Julie and Lisa were in getting back to me when I emailed or called with a question. They did an incredible job with centerpieces to match our colors and the decorations that they provide are beautiful. What really stood out to us was the care put into making our day special and running smoothly. Lisa was our day of coordinator and made sure that we stayed on time throughout the evening, but also had time to sit and eat our meal and enjoy ourselves. Their flexibility for the day of coordination was very helpful when we were determining if the rain would hold off so we could have an outside ceremony, it did! All of the day of details were handled to a t , the food was excellent, and the venue was absolutely gorgeous. I cannot say enough about The Old Lantern and the team there. It was the best day and perfect venue.

Julie and Lisa went above and beyond to make our special day more than memorable! From the rehearsal dinner, to the ceremony, to the reception, everything was spectacular and handled with care and attentiveness. We waited so long for this weekend due to COVID, but it was worth the wait. It was seriously one of the happiest days of our lives and I will never forget it. A huge thank you to the Old Lantern Inn and their staff. Would highly recommend them!

Covid forced us to postpone our wedding a full year, but they kept us locked in at our original booking price. On the wedding day, we didn't have to stress over a single detail. My wife and I are so thankful that we were able to have our dream wedding, and we owe it all to the team at The Old Lantern. Plus, Roland's cooking is incredible. My husband and I toured the Old Lantern Inn and Barn and immediately knew we would have a magical wedding there! Lisa and her crew have been consummate professionals through what has been a difficult time for many couples. Julie was supportive through several date changes and wastransparent about venue protocols during the pandemic. All emails we sent were promptly answered and she made herself available if we needed to check in. We chose to rent the onsite Inn for ourselves and close family and friends who were traveling. The space is gorgeous, clean, and set up well for guests. We really enjoyed the back patio area outside.The fire pit was perfect for roasting marshmallows and the ample seating was terrific for our lowkey rehearsal dinner. The staff made the Barn so beautiful that we barely needed to add any of our own details. Our day was stress-free because they took care of the particulars so we could enjoy ourselves, and everyone was so kind to all our guests. We were fortunate to be able to work with such fantastic and experienced people who made our wedding day better than we ever imagined it could be!

The Old Lantern was the perfect place to stay and get married. Julie, Lisa, & Roland made sure everything from our rehearsal to our wedding day went perfect and smoothly. The way they used our decorations and their own inside the venue was perfection and the food was outstanding! Julie helped make planning this as easy as pie! We couldn’t believe it. If you want a beautiful place to get married in, people who truly care about you and your event, and the best food at a wedding you’ve ever had we 100% percent recommended The Old Lantern Inn and Barn! Do yourself a favor and rent the Inn. It is so worth it!! I am so grateful we found The Old Lantern Inn and Barn for our special day we could not have found a better more beautiful place than this ! The Old Lantern is absolutely a fantastic venue! I highly recommend it! Lisa and Julie are very professional, organized and seasoned wedding planners! They know exactly how to engage with the bride and groom and keep the flow of the reception at the proper pace. The food is delicious and the staff very responsive and accommodating. We hired Top Hat for our DJ. They are awesome! We also got a photo booth through them which was a big hit. We hired Palmers creamy truck to come out to the venue for a few hours. Everyone LOVED having a creamy!!! Once again, I encourage anyone planning a wedding to check out the Old Lantern. Rain or shine, you will have the perfect wedding!!

On the day of, Lisa was on site and directed everything so that we didn't have to worry about a thing. The food was incredible, and they were able to work with us to create the menu we wanted. They even offered a dinner and wine tasting so we could sample their food and see the venue in action before the big day. We couldn't have asked for a better wedding day. The prep work was made so easy because of the help and professional input they gave us. This venue takes care of the centerpieces and works with your florist to make sure everything ties together. They have a great list of vendors that they work with regularly, which was very helpful in our selection process. The day of the wedding also went flawlessly, from calming down our nerves right up until the ceremony and making sure we had plenty of food and drinks all night. We fell in love with the beautiful barn at a friends wedding a few years ago. We were so excited to have our wedding here! But it exceeded all of our expectations!! We worked alongside Julie throughout our whole engagement! She answered all of my many questions, was always available to run ideas past her and was so organized and easy to work with. The day of our wedding I completely trusted her to set everything up for our wedding. She went above and beyond to make it perfect! Everything looked picture picture! Our day of coordinator Lisa made everything run so smoothly and it was a perfect stress free day! We also rented out the inn on the property for the wedding weekend! The inn was beautiful! I can't even begin to describe how perfect our wedding day was at the Old Lantern. My husband and I were looking forward to a May 2nd, 2020 wedding when COVID hit and that dreaded call came that it had to be canceled due to the unknow. With the help of Lisa and Julie two weeks before our next wedding date in July we decided to have a small intimate 32 person wedding on July 11th. With our whole dream we believed to be out the window here came Lisa and Julie to the rescue with a plan to make our dreams still come true. A year later we were able to invite all our guests and finish the wedding of our dreams. From the decorations to every last detail were beyond perfect, the drinks were great and the food was beyond delicious from chef Roland. the Old Lantern is everything a girl could have every dreamed of having her wedding day look like, even with all the stress COVID brought. I don't think we would have ever held onto our dreams if it wasn't for Julie and Lisa. oh and the venue is the perfect rustic touch for your special Vermont wedding.

It's been a crazy year - COVID-19, and our original venue was no longer available to us - 55 days before the wedding. After a quick search by my daughter and her then fiance, we quickly learned that there were few venues in Vermont that could still accept more than 55 people. They already had RSVP's for 94. Old Lantern can seat 150, so during VT's COVID restrictions, they could still handle 75. More than almost any other option we had.Finally, we found the Old Lantern Inn and Barn, and the four of us (daughter/fiance/wife/myself) all met with Julie. We knew immediately that it was the place for us. So many things were taken off the list with this venue - wedding cake (done!), decorations (done!), event planner (done!), bar/bartender on site, COVID precautions (done!), etc. (done, done, done!)The staff at the Old Lantern was wonderful. They did a great job of making us feel warm and wanted, even suggesting different options for things like how to do drinks for the toast, etc.On the wedding day, they were invaluable. Lisa kept things for the ceremony rolling in a caring way, keeping the timing of things moving along, and making sure we were all in our places when needed. It was such a relief to have her there, and it would not fall on me to have to 'herd' everyone through the whole thing. Very professional and extremely caring in the way she handled things.As the wedding progressed, there were just more and more things that added to the feelings that the newlyweds and my wife and I were VIP's, and the value for what we paid kept going through the roof!They also handle catering in-house, and the food was exceptional. Appetizers were served at the table, and entrees via buffet line in the back. I believe that table serving of entrees is also an option. The wedding cake they made was beautiful, and tasty, too!Would I recommend them? Oh, Yes! I'll be touting the benefits and recommending the use of Old Lantern for years to come. Having a venue that handles so many of the logistics made the wedding planning process stress free. Julie and Lisa helped immensely to bring our vision to life. They did an incredible job with the centerpieces to match the wedding colors and we are grateful for Julie letting us borrow decorations, table numbers, and signs. Both Julie and Lisa are excellent at alleviating stress and keeping everyone calm and organized both during the planning process and throughout the wedding -- which was needed for the bride, groom, and the groom’s mother. :)Their flexibility for day-of coordination was very helpful when we were determining if we could have an outside wedding in early November. The food we selected was exceptionally prepared by Roland and we received multiple compliments. We could not be happier with our decision to have our wedding at the Old Lantern Inn & Barn.

Old Lantern Inn & Barn was exactly what we were looking for in a wedding venue! This beautiful rustic barn and amazing staff made our day perfect! Having a venue that handles so many of the logistics made the wedding planning process stress free. Julie and Lisa helped immensely to bring our vision to life. They did an incredible job with the centerpieces to match the wedding colors and we are grateful for Julie letting us borrow decorations, table numbers, and signs. Both Julie and Lisa are excellent at alleviating stress and keeping everyone calm and organized both during the planning process and throughout the wedding -- which was needed for the bride, groom, and the groom’s mother. :)Their flexibility for day-of coordination was very helpful when we were determining if we could have an outside wedding in early November. We had such an amazing wedding at The Old Latern on 10/19/19. Julie was great through the whole process and was there to answer any questions we had along the way. The decor came out wonderful thanks to her as well. Lisa was wonderful the day of, wrangling in a very boisterous wedding party of 20 and keeping everyone where they needed to be and on time! All our guests were in love with the venue itself and the food blew everyone away! We can't thank The Old Latern enough for such a great wedding experience!! I can not say enough about how wonderful our experience was with the Old Lantern. Julie and Lisa made the whole process so easy. Planning a destination wedding can feel daunting but they both made me feel like I was doing great and helped me remember the little details that slipped my mind. We rented the whole Inn for the wedding weekend which was the BEST decision ever. Being about to walk back and forth between the Barn and the Inn made the whole weekend so easy and convenient. The Old Lantern really takes care of so many of your needs, including the food, drinks, centerpieces, cake and even some of the decorations. We hardly had to do anything at all besides show up and everyone can't stop talking about how beautiful it all was. The food was also incredible! We have received so many compliments on the food and the cake. I would recommend the Old Lantern to anyone who wants a gorgeous Vermont venue with amazing coordinators who really know what they're doing.

When my now husband and I began our quest for a place to celebrate our wedding, we were instantly drawn to The Old Lantern for the following reasons: affordability compared to similar venues, amount of services provided, location, and beauty inside and out. We could not be happier with our choice and experience from start to finish. The team at The Old Lantern is a well oiled machine and thanks to them, we had a gorgeous, stress free, super fun wedding ceremony and reception that we will cherish forever and our guests can not stop raving about. The Old Lantern is a full service wedding venue, which took so much stress out of the planning, execution, and expense that goes into a wedding. On top of that, the planning process was smooth and straight forward thanks to Julie, the event planner. She sent us all of the information we would need to provide to the team well in advance so that we had time to think about all of the details, as well as a timeline moving forward. When questions came up, Julie was easy to reach and responded so quickly. She also gave great advice across the board from where to save money, decor, menu options, and navigating traditions. During the planning phase, we had an opportunity to attend a wine dinner one evening. It was so nice to spend time in The Old Lantern all decorated, try out some of the food, get to know the team a bit more, and build the excitement envisioning our own wedding. Once our wedding weekend approached, we had our rehearsal with Lisa. She walked us through the day, eased our nerves, and let us know she'd be there with us keeping things running smoothly on our wedding and was she ever! Lisa was amazing! We were struck by her attention to detail, confidence and clarity working with our vendors, and how she seemingly appeared out of nowhere at any moment to lend a helping hand from attaching boutonnieres, bustling my dress, or fixing my mother in law's hair. Then it was on to the food. Chef Roland and his team did a wonderful job from the appetizers and main courses, to the cake! Our guests could not stop talking about how good the food was and saying how they'd never had such good food at a wedding before. Not only was the food delicious, but all of our guests were able to eat from the buffet regardless of allergies or dietary restrictions because of an amazing selection to choose from and Chef's flexibility altering dishes to meet our needs. Lastly, Mary Pat did a great job behind the bar and closed down the night seamlessly. We can't speak highly enough of the great work the team at The Old Lantern did to make our wedding such a success!

We had our wedding in May and we are so glad we picked the Old Lantern Barn. We had to plan our wedding by emails and phone calls because we don’t live near and they did amazing. They are so organized and helpful with everything. Even the day of the wedding I thought my dad had to decorate the place by himself and the team was there taking care of everything. They also provide decorations for couple that don’t want to take care of it or can’t afford wedding decorations. The food was AMAZING. We had so many good comments from our guest. My husband and I had the best day to celebrate our marriage with our friends and family! We highly recommed renting out the inn for two nights and hosting a dinner the night before the wedding, it is so charming and conveniently located a quick 5 minute walk from the barn. Julie and Lisa are the best wedding planners you could for ask for, they made every step easy and organized all the details. Chef Roland's food was phenomenal, their staff and bartenders are the best. Truly a hidden gem nestled in the Geen Mountain State. Our guests traveled from Las Vegas, Florida, New York and New Jersey and were extemely impressed with the high level of services provided. Also be sure to work off of their \"Our Favorites\" list on their website, the vendors they have listed work amazing and have great relationships with Julie and Lisa and make your special day stress free! Worth every penny spent on the day, we're looking forward to our next big celebration so we can return.

We could not have had a better experience with this venue, from the beginning of the planning process through to the end of the wedding night. The owner and coordinator both were incredibly helpful and warm, and incredibly professional and organized, making it super easy and clear to prepare for the wedding, find vendors, make sure we were on track with planning as the wedding approached, and keeping everything moving the day of, always with a smile on their face. On top of this, the space, inside and out (especially in fall!) is just stunning, and the perfect place for a Vermont wedding. Again, can't praise them enough!

When people complimented us on our wedding, all we could say was, \"We didn't do much...we just chose an amazing venue!!\" Seriously, Old Lantern took care of everything! Julie and Lisa were professional and timely throughout the process, which was vital because we were planning our wedding from a distance. We especially appreciated the personal attention Lisa gave to our parents when they came to visit. Old Lantern was upfront and honest about their charges, no hidden fees or surprises and we could trust them at every turn to give us the best advice for the wedding we wanted. They worked with our father-in-law to figure the alcohol offerings we wanted. I was absolutely blown away by the personal attention we received the day of. Lisa was truly, genuinely excited about our wedding and our family, and enthusiastically joined in the joy. She took care of every little incident that popped up calmly, from my bustle to a medical emergency to us showing up half an hour early. It was so reassuring to have her on top of all that was happening during the reception. My maid of honor kept asking, \"Who is doing this, this, etc.?\" and it felt SO good to say, our venue's got it! Several of our guests kept asking, \"Did you eat yet?\" Lisa made sure that we were served so quickly and quietly that people hadn't even noticed and it allowed us to say hi to almost all our guests (165 guests). Our wedding party stayed at the Inn, which was really lovely and we took advantage of the living room hangout space--and the breakfast was truly great! The challenges of our wedding: 165 guests, planned from across the country, ceremony in a different place were totally overcome by Old Lantern's excellent service.I was initially concerned that there was only one DJ option that they heavily recommended (Top Hat), but we ended up very happy with their work the day of! Five stars there, too.

Wow! We just hosted a wedding at the Old Lantern Barn and were totally blown away by what an amazing job they did. From the beginning, Lisa and Julie were great to work with--answering many questions, being incredibly flexible with our wants and needs and making very helpful recommendations. I've never worked with a venue that continually said: \"Sure, we can do that.\" And they did--beautifully. The day of the wedding we had to make a quick switch from an outside ceremony to inside due to a surprise storm that blew in--within a half hour of our guests arriving! Yikes! Drenched to the skin, Lisa and Julie and their staff not only switched seating to inside but they salvaged our outdoor decorations and continued the program without a hitch! Our guests thought the ceremony was always meant to be inside! The evening moved along smoothly--so well staffed that no one had to wait for food or drinks and we got plenty of time for dancing. It was a perfect wedding and all our guests agreed. \"Most fun wedding ever\" was heard all through the evening. In addition, Lisa and Julie gave us recommendations for florist and DJ and salon for hair and make up. These vendors were also amazing! We also rented the entire Inn for the weekend for our family to stay and to host hair and make up for the bride, bridesmaids and moms. The Inn was comfortable and had plenty of common areas for everyone to spread out and the breakfasts were great! As mother of the bride, I also appreciated that they took care of everything. No stress, they told us they would take care of things and they did--all the little details that you worry about, they just took care of them. I'm sorry this will be the only wedding we host because I would have another wedding at the Old Lantern Barn in a NY minute!

Wow! We just hosted a wedding at the Old Lantern Barn and were totally blown away by what an amazing job they did. From the beginning, Lisa and Julie were great to work with--answering many questions, being incredibly flexible with our wants and needs and making very helpful recommendations. I've never worked with a venue that continually said: \"Sure, we can do that.\" And they did--beautifully. The day of the wedding we had to make a quick switch from an outside ceremony to inside due to a surprise storm that blew in--within a half hour of our guests arriving! Yikes! Drenched to the skin, Lisa and Julie and their staff not only switched seating to inside but they salvaged our outdoor decorations and continued the program without a hitch! Our guests thought the ceremony was always meant to be inside! The evening moved along smoothly--so well staffed that no one had to wait for food or drinks and we got plenty of time for dancing. My husband and I just got married here a few days ago and we cannot say enough wonderful things about this beautiful venue. First, they take care of everything!! Set up, tear down, decorating the barn, centerpieces, scheduling, everything. They have someone the day of to make sure that everything goes according to plan and makes your life so much easier!! The barn was beautifully decorated with simple lights and rustic decor just like we wanted and the outside was so elegant and perfect for an outdoor wedding. The food was outstanding!!! Our guests all loved it and they served everyone so quickly hat no one was hungry. Lastly, the people we worked with were all AMAZING!! On a day that can be nerve-wracking at times, we truly felt loved and supported throughout the whole night. We just had our June wedding at the Old Lantern. Julie and Lisa are both absolutely spectacular. We did not have a wedding planner, but Julie walked us through the whole process and was available to chat whenever we needed to. Everything was so organized, and we really didn't have to think about too much. We were coming from out of town and actually never really had a chance to go to VT before the wedding, so it was lovely that centerpieces (done by Lisa), many decorations, chairs etc. were all included and we didn't have to hire out separately. We stayed up at the Inn, which made getting ready and going to sleep after the reception so easy. We brought our own lawn games for the cocktail hour, which were also a total hit. We also used vendors off their recommended vendor list and were SO happy with the quality and affordability of all. If you are looking for an organized, rustic, easy, beautiful Vermont wedding with fantastic food, this is your place! Wedding planning can be super overwhelming and they made it so much easier and more fun. Any questions we had were answered promptly and all my wishes were met. It was beautiful and a perfect place for myself and my bridesmaids to get ready and take some mazing pictures. It was just so convenient to have the Inn so close for before and after the wedding ceremony and reception.We also chose to have our ceremony in the barn due to not wanting to worry about weather at all. They decorated everything exactly how I asked them to and made our wedding day go so smoothly. I did not have to worry about a thing and was able to be relaxed and focused on my family and friends. I literally cannot say enough good things about the Old Latern Inn & Barn. From the day we went to look at the venue a year before our wedding, we thought it would be great, and they exceeded our expectations in every way. Julie is a GEM to work with and she is so responsive and helpful throughout the planning process. And the owners (and chef), Lisa and Roland, are fantastic the day of. Our guests did not stop raving about the venue, how gorgeous it was, the decor they provided (my husband and I didn't do much ourselves, but the venue was so well decorated by the staff that everyone thought we did); the staff; the fantastic location; and THE FOOD. The FOOD was off the charts. Our guests loved every second of it, and our day was actually flawless. These people are PROS in every sense of the word. I'd also like to add that having looked at other venues in and around Burlington, VT. This venue is the most bang for your buck out there. Choosing this venue and the wonderful staff and coordinators that came with it made planning the wedding beyond easy and enjoyable. I cannot say enough good things about the Old Lantern. The team at Old Lantern is wonderful! Julie works with you from the start and is great at getting everything set up for you! Then Lisa executes on the day. We had a nontraditional ceremony set up and Lisa killed it--we couldn't have been happier! All of our friends and family tell us it was incredibly intimate, and it all happened because of Lisa and Julie. Chef made an excellent dinner, and people were well served by Mary-Pat at the bar. Their strength is offering you wedding options that very easy to execute--which I appreciated so so much. A note--if you're someone who is super into every little detail getting executed it would probably help to get a day of coordinator, as a few little details fell through the cracks. BUT that's the same with every venue/big event I think where the bride is not a pro wedding planner, and when you marry your best friend in a beautiful ceremony, often those things don't matter :) The place was set-up beautifully by Julie and the barn looked absolutely gorgeous!! We also had a lot of family stay at the inn which I couldn't recommend enough. Lisa does a great job with the food there and we all felt like family. Seriously couldn't recommend them enough, everyone should get married here!

I honestly can't say enough about the Old Lantern Barn & Inn. My husband and I had been having a difficult time finding a rustic, Vermont barn venue in our budget. So after months of searching, we knew the Old Lantern was the one as soon as we walked in. We visited on November 4th, 2016 and had our wedding there exactly one year later! From tastings right up til the day of, the entire team was awesome to work with. Julie always stayed in contact, answered questions quickly, and did an awesome job decorating the Old Lantern for us the day of. Lisa and Roland were absolutely amazing as well. Lisa was so attentive in making sure my husband and myself as well as our bridal party and guests had everything we needed. People raved about Lisa's attentiveness and of course, about Roland's delicious food as well. Many of our friends and family have been telling us that our wedding was the best they've ever been to because it was so fun, the food was amazing, and the space itself was so beautiful. I highly recommend the Old Lantern! My husbands mother passed away less than a month before the wedding, and the team at the Old Lantern was very supportive in helping us find ways to honor her at the reception and even sent us a card after her passing. So, if you're looking for a beautiful Vermont barn venue and a team that will absolutely take care of you from beginning to end, the Old Lantern is the best of the best!

We cannot say enough good things about our wedding reception at the Old Lantern. We had visited multiple other venues around the Burlington area, and when we walked into the Old Lantern, we knew right away we wanted to get married there. The barn is absolutely beautiful - rustic, charming, and elegant and fit our vision perfectly. We were taken care of from beginning to end by the wonderful staff. Julie was a delight to work with from day one - so knowledgeable, detail oriented, responsive, and kept us all sane (including my father who I think was more stressed out than we were!) throughout the entire wedding planning process by answering any questions we had and meeting with us when we needed to. We had Julie decorate for us as well and she did an amazing job - I highly recommend having her decorate as it alleviates some of the pressure the day of and it looked absolutely beautiful. Lisa is lovely - she was there the entire day of our wedding and knew how to put my mind at ease as I arrived for pictures before the ceremony, so nervous & anxious. After my husband and I arrived from taking our pictures post ceremony as the cocktail was going on, she pulled me aside to make sure I had a moment to breathe and decompress for 5 minutes, which was so great. Lisa, along with one of my bridesmaids, helped bustle my dress and made sure I had a drink in hand while they were doing so. We were so well taken care of the entire night and she was always one step ahead of us - a true testament to how professional, knowledgeable & attentive these folks are. Chef Roland did an outstanding job with the food (we had no doubts), it was amazing and my French family could not stop talking about how great it was even days after. Even though it has only been a little over one month since we got married on August 12th, we always talk about how we just want to go back and relive that day all over again. We cannot say enough good things about our wedding reception at the Old Lantern. We had visited multiple other venues around the Burlington area, and when we walked into the Old Lantern, we knew right away we wanted to get married there. The barn is absolutely beautiful - rustic, charming, and elegant and fit our vision perfectly. We were taken care of from beginning to end by the wonderful staff. Julie was a delight to work with from day one - so knowledgeable, detail oriented, responsive, and kept us all sane (including my father who I think was more stressed out than we were!) throughout the entire wedding planning process by answering any questions we had and meeting with us when we needed to. We had Julie decorate for us as well and she did an amazing job - I highly recommend having her decorate as it alleviates some of the pressure the day of and it looked absolutely beautiful. Lisa is lovely - she was there the entire day of our wedding and knew how to put my mind at ease as I arrived for pictures before the ceremony, so nervous & anxious. After my husband and I arrived from taking our pictures post ceremony as the cocktail was going on, she pulled me aside to make sure I had a moment to breathe and decompress for 5 minutes, which was so great. Lisa, along with one of my bridesmaids, helped bustle my dress and made sure I had a drink in hand while they were doing so. We were so well taken care of the entire night and she was always one step ahead of us - a true testament to how professional, knowledgeable & attentive these folks are. Chef Roland did an outstanding job with the food (we had no doubts), it was amazing and my French family could not stop talking about how great it was even days after. Even though it has only been a little over one month since we got married on August 12th, we always talk about how we just want to go back and relive that day all over again. It was perfect in every way possible, and it is evident that the staff at the Old Lantern love and take pride in what they do. It was everything we imagined, & more. I thought I'd be really sad about the rain as we'd started out saying our #1 priority was to be married outdoors, but in the end the set-up inside was so magical it didn't matter at all, and the transition was done so professionally I didn't even end up having to worry about it on the day of (which was very important!)We were planning from a distance and Julie made our lives so much easier by being so organised, and the way the venue is set up it's absolutely great as all the food, drinks and most of the decor are included and easy to plan from a distance. And Chef Roland was brilliant- we got raves about the hors d'oeuvres, especially the lamp chops, potato pancakes with caviar, and small nutmeg soups. My parents and some guests stayed at the Inn and said the breakfast there was delicious too:)

I celebrated my wedding at The Old Lantern Barn last weekend and it was the best decision I made (aside from my husband, of course!). From the second I walked in the building, I knew it was where we should get married. The planning process was so easy! Julie & Lisa made amazing recommendations and walked us through the entire process. We paid to have Julie decorate (I would highly suggest this!) and the place was STUNNING! I received so many compliments on the decor and wished I could take credit, but it was all The Old Lantern! It rained the day of the wedding so we had the ceremony inside. The second I walked in the door with my bridesmaids, we were given a nice glass of champagne to relax and I felt that everything was under control. I did not have to worry about a thing! When my 2 year old ring bearer decided he did not want to walk down the aisle, the staff swept him away and kept him from crying by giving him snacks and playing with him in the back during the ceremony. To me, that was such a personal touch and it allowed all of us to focus on the ceremony while knowing he was taken care of. For food, we had the lobster risotto, beef wellington, and chicken cordon bleu. The risotto came with a generous chunk of lobster and all of the food was delicious! We also added on some late night grilled cheeses and they were a huge hit- highly recommend! I could go on and on, but all you need to know is that if I could go back and get married again, I would not change a single thing. I can credit a lot of this to the way The Old Lantern Barn is run. They do a fantastic job and I am extremely thankful!

Also, it was so convenient for us to get ready for the wedding and ensure that our last minute details at the venue were correct. Julie helped us with the planning once we decided that we wanted to commit to the venue and she took us through the different steps of the planning process to ensure that we didn't forget any details. She also recommended parts of the event as well since we were unsure of what the \"day of\" would look like. On our wedding day, Lisa stepped in, helping me to lace my corset, aided in getting everyone on our coach to the church, and was on point for every detail once we arrived at the reception. Our food was waiting for us once we completed pictures and we had time to sit, relax, and ENJOY it! We received so many compliments on the food and wish we could have eaten more of it!

Wow! As soon as my now-husband and I saw the venue - we knew it was perfect. The decor, vibe, location was exactly what we wanted in a Vermont wedding. Julie and Lisa made wedding planning so much easier by sharing their advice and recommendations, asking the right questions, and helping us put all the amazing finishing touches on what was the most amazing day of our lives. Despite a threat of rain - I can't imagine the day being more perfect. The staff at the OL is PHENOMENAL! Lisa is so patient, attentive and knows exactly how to ease any anxiety or stress from a bride; her years of experience with weddings means she thinks of every single detail. She's also a pro at getting children down the aisle looking adorable even when they start throwing a toddler tantrum right before their flower girl debut! In addition to Lisa, her amazing assistant followed us (Bride and Groom) around, making sure we always had more champagne, helping us get plates of food - I truly got to enjoy every single second of our wedding and reception. The OL was most ideal venue because of it's charm, decor, and all-in-one elements. I loved that it included centerpieces and extra decor, catering, cake, tables/chairs, ceremony location, ceremony chairs. Truly, it was so amazing to go to ONE vendor for all those different elements. We also cannot say enough good things about Chef Roland's delicious food! All of our guests have raved about the food, and we knew it was a winner when we came to the tasting. Truly, we cannot say enough good things about our experience at the Old Lantern Barn (AND their Inn!!).

Julie and Lisa made wedding planning so much easier by sharing their advice and recommendations, asking the right questions, and helping us put all the amazing finishing touches on what was the most amazing day of our lives. Despite a threat of rain - I can't imagine the day being more perfect. The staff at the OL is PHENOMENAL! Lisa is so patient, attentive and knows exactly how to ease any anxiety or stress from a bride; her years of experience with weddings means she thinks of every single detail. She's also a pro at getting children down the aisle looking adorable even when they start throwing a toddler tantrum right before their flower girl debut! In addition to Lisa, her amazing assistant followed us (Bride and Groom) around, making sure we always had more champagne, helping us get plates of food - I truly got to enjoy every single second of our wedding and reception. The OL was most ideal venue because of it's charm, decor, and all-in-one elements. I loved that it included centerpieces and extra decor, catering, cake, tables/chairs, ceremony location, ceremony chairs. Truly, it was so amazing to go to ONE vendor for all those different elements. We also cannot say enough good things about Chef Roland's delicious food! All of our guests have raved about the food, and we knew it was a winner when we came to the tasting. Truly, we cannot say enough good things about our experience at the Old Lantern Barn (AND their Inn!!).

My husband and I were married here on September 24, 2016. We could not have asked for a better venue! The venue itself was gorgeous, spacious, and fit perfectly with our thematic. The staff is wonderful and welcoming and did everything we'd needed to ensure our day was perfect. The food is wonderful, and they have so many menu options to choose from!We also rented out the inn for our wedding! It was a great opportunity for the wedding party to hang out and get ready together! We had hair and makeup onsite and having space in the inn to do so made it super easy! No two rooms are the same and the Champagne room is the perfect spot to get ready for a wedding!We highly recommend this location for a wedding any time of the year. :)

Julie was a delight to work with from day one, Lisa executed the best day ever, and chef Roland made sure everyone absolutely enjoyed their meals and were well fed. The staff were all so friendly and professional (even when some guests got a little rowdy). The venue was lovely, and even if you had minimal to no decorations it would still be beautiful. I highly recommend this venue to any couple who wants their day to go smoothly and without having to coordinate every detail. The team here takes so much of the planning and work off of your plate which helps to make the event so amazing. The centerpieces, which incorporated our favorite flowers and our wedding colors, were beautiful, and the food was exquisite. Our guests were still raving about how delicious the wedding cake and entrees were weeks after our wedding date.The expansive green space outside provided a great natural Vermont backdrop for our ceremony and ample space for our guests (especially children) to spread out and mingle during the reception. It is hard to believe that it has been three months since my daughter and son in-laws wedding, what an amazing day! It was love at first sight when we saw the location, the beautiful barn, and the warm welcoming inn. Little did I know that in looking back on this special day, that what I would appreciate the most was all of the behind the scenes work that the owner, Lisa, did to make the weekend so magical. She took care of the grandparents that stayed at the inn, she calmed the nerves of the parents and wedding party, and she took care of all of the timing and details so that we could enjoy the day. The weather was perfect, the bride and groom were beaming, the food was delicious, and we all had a wonderful time.

I just got married this past weekend -10/17/15- and wanted to waste no time in giving this wonderful venue my accolades. We had many particular details that I was worried might not be laid out the way I'd imagined given how many we had! However, Julie's attention to detail in working with us, and Lisa's execution of our plan were exquisite. Julie was so quick to respond to all of my questions throughout, and Lisa was so essential the day of. I felt so much calmer seeing her immediately when we arrived-- she immediately brought me whatever I wanted to drink and walked us through the schedule step by step to keep everything running smoothly. Also brought us our food, helped bustle my dress, etc- way beyond your typical venue. Not to mention- I found out after the fact we had a couple hiccups with guests and Lisa handled it without my ever even noticing. I've heard praises from guests on the food too (which I knew was excellent from our tasting dinner!) It was so beautiful and perfect, only wish I could do it all again. thank you so much Lisa, Julie, and Roland. TJ and I could never repay you.

The Old Lantern is a beautiful venue. The staff were tremendously helpful and approachable. Be vigilent and clear on the details that are important to you, though. When we went to cut the cake for our photo op there was no knife and my husband and I had to stand around and wait when we could have been dancing. Also, if an open bar is what you want - this is NOT your most affordable option. Lastly - the owner tried to kick our wedding party out of the reception hall when we were having our celebratory drink before greeting the guests for cocktail hour. That was a little odd. You can't rent single rooms in their inn... if you want to stay on site, you have to rent the entire thing. Just a head up! \r\rOther than these few quirks - the venue and staff were very professional and accommodating... the food FANTASTIC... and my husband and I had the best day of our lives at the Old Lantern.

She was extremely helpful write helping us make our day as amazing as it could be from planning the day to picking the napkin colors and flowers for center pieces. Everything looked even better they we had hoped!\r\rThe food, staff and owner Lisa and Roland were incredibly gracious and were there every step of the way on the day of to help make sure everything went smoothly.\r\rIt is the perfect rustic venue and so close to Burlington. Unlike other barns we looked at, the tables, chairs, linens, dishes and even the centerpieces and cake (which were lovely!) are all included in the facility fee. They are able to do all the food on premise in a buffet style, and their food is delicious. They have many different food and bar options to fit various budgets and tastes. They did a fantastic job setting up our decorations, the whole place looked even better than I imagined. They were able to accommodate all our special requests (like hot apple cider), and the whole evening ran very smoothly. We also rented the inn for the bridal party to stay in over the weekend, which included breakfast! We had the rehearsal dinner there as well. It was so comfortable and fun. I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a Vermont barn wedding.

We also rented the inn for the bridal party to stay in over the weekend, which included breakfast! We had the rehearsal dinner there as well. It was so comfortable and fun. I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a Vermont barn wedding.

The Old Lantern Inn & Barn, in Charlotte, Vermont.\rThe most rustic and elegant facility I have yet to find. A beautiful back drop of Lake Champlain and the gorgeous maple trees only Vermont has to offer for your wedding or any event. This 8 room Inn along with the rustic 100 year old barn would make any event one to remember! I have attended a few weddings here and I continue to be amazed at how different and special each one has been. Lisa & Roland Goujac are the owners and two extremely gracious hosts! If you choose to hold your event here I do not think you will be disappointed!

When we were looking for reception venues, we looked into The Old Lantern because my parents had their reception there in the 70's. We toured the space, and loved it! It has rustic charm, and we loved the inclusions in the package: floral centerpieces, cake, all the table accoutrements, etc. Julie, their event planner, is so professional and always snappy to answer any questions, and help any way she can. The best part came on the wedding day, with Lisa (the co-owner along with her husband, who is the on-site chef) as the day-of coordinator. When we arrived after the ceremony, Lisa walked me through everything that needed to get done (bustling my dress, lining up for the introductions, etc.), and made sure I had something to eat! She was quick to solve every problem that arose, leaving me with absolutely nothing to worry about! She was a hero! All my bridesmaids were gushing about her. We also loved their inn, with eight rooms, perfect to hold a number of out of town guests. I could not have asked for a more perfect time at The Old Lantern! Everyone there was wonderful! The day was absolutely magical!

We just got married at The Old Lantern, and it was easily the best day of our lives. When we first started looking for venues, we knew we wanted somewhere in the Burlington area, but not a ballroom. From the moment we saw the twinkle lights hanging from the old rustic wooden beams we knew we had our location!\rJulie was in contact with us throughout the planning process, and was so helpful at keeping me organized and was always there to answer any question that popped into my head.\rCome wedding morning, we arrived to find that the entire venue was already set up perfectly, from the floral centerpieces to the personal touches that we added. My bridal party and I got ready at the Inn (quaint and excellent location to get ready/spend our first night). Lisa definitely knows what she is doing. A word of advise, because Lisa has done this a million times, she can come across a bit brash, and we had a few moments of disagreement. I felt strongly about a couple things and stood my ground, and it all worked out in the end. \rAfter the church ceremony, my husband and I were greeted for pictures with food and drinks. Throughout the entire night everyone was complimenting the food (Thanks Roland!) and everyone got through the buffet line in 10 minutes. The night was perfect, and we couldn't have hoped for anything more. I would definitely recommend The Old Lantern to anyone. It was a night that we will never forget.

My husband and I fell in love with the venue as well as the owners and staff of the Old Lantern. I knew I wanted a VT barn style wedding and at a venue that took care of all the details such as tables, chairs, linens and food & beverage rather than hiring vendors for those things. The Old Lantern even took care of all the center pieces and additional flowers and decorations throughout the venue that complimented the style of our wedding (they asked what styles and flowers we were having so that everything coordinated nicely). From the first time we stopped by unannounced to check out the venue to our wedding day I knew we were in good hands. The owners take extreme pride in making sure the day ran smoothly. Everything was absolutely perfect on our wedding day and I know a large part of that is due to their staff. Two and a half months later we continue to get complements on how great the venue was, how delicious the food was, how amazing our pictures are (there are a bunch of beautiful areas on the property for photos) and how much fun everyone had. I really hope one of our friends gets married there soon so we can go back!

Roland & Lisa Gaujac (Owner) Along with our wonderful event planner, Julie Olson, we have been proudly hosting weddings in Vermont since 1995. The owners, Roland & Lisa, have been married for 37 years. Roland, Lisa & Julie work as a team to make sure the entire planning process and day of coordinating is seamless and the individual visions of our couples shines!
