Vincent was absolutely a pleasure to work with and made the planning process seamless. Amata the bridal attendant was the star of the show. She was exactly where we needed her to be at every moment. The venue is gorgeous. I did notice that some of the table linens in the lobby were dirty from a previous wedding which makes me think it wasn’t washed but ultimately I didn’t even notice it on the wedding day.

I got married at this venue on 11/2/23 and I can say that this venue is such a hidden gem! The entire process was so seamless, my contact was Martin and he was there for us every step of the way. The day of went without any issues and people are still raving about the food. If you’re looking for a beautiful venue with amazing food, look no further!

LGBTQ couples beware! I messaged Martin to let him know that we were an LGBTQ couple and gave him our names. He invited us for a tour. I introduced my partner as my partner. During the tour he kept using Bride & Groom language. It wasn’t until the paperwork when I handed the keyboard to my partner and she wrote out our names together did he say that he didn’t realize we were THE couple, apologized and tried to explain. He really upset my partner for assuming that she wasn’t the one I was marrying. This happened despite me being very clear about who we were. For this, we will not be booking this venue.

Wow is really all I can say about this venue! We had our wedding here 2 weeks ago and as far as I know, everything went perfectly! Vincent was a dream to work with, answered my emails so quickly and assured us everything would be taken care of. And it was! He was so easy going and really explained to us everything they have to offer. The day of coordinator, Lauren, and the bridal attendant, Amada, were absolutely incredible. They were by our side the entire day, Amada even helped secure the bustle that I broke during our first dance! Lauren was extremely professional and made everything run so smoothly. We dropped off everything the day before the wedding and I was a little worried about the setup/breakdown as we did have lots of little details, (table numbers, picture frames, memorial table, picture frame guest book) but honestly I had nothing to worry about. Everything was beautifully setup and gently boxed back up at the end of the night. We didn’t have to lift a finger. Guests and family are still raving about the food, especially the cocktail hour stations we chose (mashed potato martini bar, waffle fries, and Italian station to name a few). They even brought food up to our bridal suite for us to enjoy quickly before the reception began. Our wedding day rained but I honestly didn’t care at all! The grounds are gorgeous both inside and out and you’ll be sure to get beautiful pictures. You will not find another venue in the area with affordable prices, one event per day, and a team that truly cares about giving you the best day of your life. I don’t know why ANYONE in the tri state area wouldn’t chose OLD TAPPAN MANOR as their venue. Vincent was fantastic, from booking to answering my very detailed emailed questions about anything and everything within hours, he was amazing. They included our signature drinks that were detailed to the point where we brought in some of our own ingredients, and they made them well. The food was what sold us on this venue and it did not disappoint! Everyone told us it was the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding, from the amazing cocktail hour selection and stations down to the cake, which was included!! I will say Vincent definitely undersold our maitre de Lauren, he would just say “we have it covered” and I would be my nervous self and wonder, but they did! I was about to hire a day-of coordinator, but you DO NOT need one at this venue, Lauren was there for the rehearsal, finalizing details that I didn’t even think of, and the day of from our early arrival til our departure and she is INCREDIBLE. She is there every step of the way, along with the bridal attendant, so you are waited on hand and foot. More so, I did a lot myself including setting up SO MANY RENTALS (all of our flowers, flower stands, audio phone book, table number signs, bar signs, and more, which they were also able to have us set up days before our event, another blessing to not do the morning of) but I was nervous about how the breakdown would go because I wouldn’t be there after the wedding, which was the main reason I was debating a day-of coordinator, because I needed everything back to me or I’d get fined. They got everything back to me in perfect condition and waiting by the door for easy pick up the next morning. Thank you so so much Vincent, Lauren, your servers, and Old Tappan Manor for the most incredible experience of our lives!!

2:04Submitted ReviewFrom the moment we booked this venue we only had positive experiences. We worked with Vincent, who couldn't have been lovelier. He's super responsive and gives great advice/can answer any questions. A total pro. All of my guests are still raving about how amazing the food was. There are SO many options for cocktail hour, it was hard to choose. We did custom cocktails at the bar & added an exit station of pretzels and churros. All around, everyone loved all the food and drinks. We got married off site (at St.Pius X), but there's a beautiful outdoor space, if that's something you're interested in utilizing. Our guests took a lot of photos at the waterfall at night.The ballroom itself is so gorgeous, we did pampas centerpieces and a few other decorations (sweetheart table arch & floor vases), but really you don't need much to decorate this place. It looks incredible no matter what. The staff at our wedding was incredible, quick and friendly. Kept the party going. I really only have great things to say about this place. They made our wedding a real party. It was perfect!

We got married at Old Tappan on 4.23.23. Our day was literally perfect from the beginning to the end. Vince was so great to work with! He was super helpful throughout the whole process they even made our custom drink idea come together! We had a smoked old fashion that required fire and they worked with us to get it done! And it was such a success! The food was absolutely delicious. Our friends and family still talk about it now! And last but not least, Lauren the day of coordinator. Lauren was absolutely out of this world amazing and helpful on the day of. She really took care of us and our families like we were her own family! We highly recommend Old Tappan manor. It’s such a beautiful classy venue with an amazing crew and beautiful outdoors! Thank you Old Tappan for making our dream wedding come true!!

I honestly can not say anything better about Old Tappan. From the minute we walked in Vincent made us feel sure that we would have a great wedding there, and we 100% did.From the pure beauty of the ballroom, to the spectacular cocktail hour (gentleman's grill station is a must), an amazing reception and top notch service there isn't 1 negative thing I can say about our experience. We had the greatest day, even in the rain, everyone went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed. The maitre'd and bridal attendant were spectacular, they definitely won the award for fastest wedding dress bustle I've ever seen.Vincent kept telling us \"just get here and we will take care of everything\" and he was 100% right.I wish we could do it all over again, it was truly amazing.

I had my entire wedding here at Old Tappan Manor. The venue is absolutely gorgeous. This place is so magical and beautiful. It truly made the wedding look like a luxurious and grand wedding. The venue alone is absolutely gorgeous. The overall opinions from my guests about the food was tasty and excellent. The wedding Coordinator- Vincent was superb. He was always very responsive and so accommodating. My bridal assistant was always around and the best help. Selection of food and liquor options, our liquor luge was a huge hit. I told them to not run out of jameson and they understood the assignment! They made sure we didn’t run out. I was extremely happy. My famil and friends had such a great experience and they were so in love with our venue. I would give this place a 10 out of 10.

From start to finish, Martin and his team at OTM were incredible.After 2 postponements due to covid and other life circumstances, we finally had the wedding of our dreams. Martin and the whole team made us feel like the most special people in the world from our first site visit through the reception. They’re all extremely knowledgeable about the industry - what will work, what won’t, and are committed to trying to make your vision happen. The team was communicative throughout the whole process, with prompt response time for any and all questions. With so many changes and postponements on our end, they were still supremely flexible. The venue itself is gorgeous, and the food is INCREDIBLE. I think people will be talking about our cocktail hour for the rest of our lives. Day-of, we were treated like celebrities. Lauren the maitre de is phenomenal-we went through every single detail the night before and it was executed beyond my expectations day-of. They think of everything before it happens and are quick to seamlessly pivot if things change last minute (which they always do!) Cannot recommend the venue, food or people more.

Martin (manager), Lauren (maître d’) and Amada (bridal attendant) were incredibly helpful and made sure everything on our wedding day ran smoothly and stress free for us. The venue is beautiful and had the grand atmosphere we were looking for. The food and drinks during the cocktail hour and reception were delicious. They were well staffed to support our party of 200 guests. Overall highly recommend this venue!

My husband and I got married at the Old Tappan Manor on July 9, 2022 and it was the greatest night of our lives. From the start, Martin (one of the sales managers) was so friendly and accommodating. He was in contact with so many couples for many different dates, yet always made us feel like we were his top priority. The rest of the staff was just as amazing. The maître'd Lauren and bridal attendant Amada were our go-to's the day of, and they helped to make sure everything went perfectly. The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous. The newly renovated ballroom features a gorgeous marble floor, uplighting and chandeliers. The food is outrageously yummy and you seriously get a bang for your buck with all that is included in the cocktail hour! This event was absolutely beautiful, the staff alone made it so perfect for us. I highly recommend hosting an event here (not just weddings!) We will absolutely be back in the future.

My husband and I got married on July 15, 2022 and we ABSOLUTELY loved every second of it. The day was absolutely perfect from start to finish. Martin was fabulous from the second we contacted him. He always responded quickly and answered all of my questions, and as an anxious bride there were many. Old Tappan Manor was able to make our dream wedding a reality. They have set the standard amongst family and friends on how a wedding should go. Guests have not stopped complimenting the service and quality of the food. The cocktail hour was absolutely perfect and they were able to accommodate all of our requests. Lauren and Amada made sure that my husband and I were fed and always had a drink in hand. They were both so helpful from bustling my dress to making sure our bridal party was lined up for entrances. My husband and I had the best night of our lives. We could not recommend Old Tappan Manor more.

Every aspect of the venue's delivery was a hit - from the incredibly delicious cocktail hour, to every guests' meal being cooked to perfection, the attentive staff, and presentation of the event space - we couldn't have asked for a better place to host our wedding day! Our friends and family had the time of their lives, and we are so grateful we chose Old Tappan Manor for our special day.

My husband and I finally got to have our wedding last week after 15 months of postponement due to COVID. It was a longtime coming, and not only did Old Tappan Manor, and especially Martin, stick with us through every change, every audible and adaptation we had to make in order to keep moving forward, they also made our day far more special than we had planned or imagined.This venue truly cares about the couple’s experience. Lauren and Amada (our Maître d and Bridal Attendant, respectively) could not have been more attentive. They went the extra mile for us, and then some, making sure every concern was taken care of for us even before we knew we had it.And I honestly cannot say enough good things about Martin. He worked with us, time and again, as COVID kept hindering our plans. And when our day finally came, he was there making sure my husband and I could still enjoy some time together, whether it was the prepared meal he had waiting for us in the bridal suite after the ceremony so we could have some alone time, or whether it was going on a hunt to find him for special moments during the night as we continued to get separated by our guests. Martin was even the one to open the door for me upon my entrance into the ballroom for our ceremony, I will never forget that. This venue wants your day to be special. It does not matter how many events they have that week or what the weather is doing, they want you to know you are the most amazing couple they have ever had there. The place itself is gorgeous, and you can’t help but feel gorgeous in it. And the food! So many times over, our guests (many of whom are in the wedding industry themselves) said the food was amazing. Not only the best they’d ever had at a wedding, but one of the best, restaurant quality meals they could name. The food and bar knock it out of the park at Old Tappan Manor, and your guests will remember it. For so many reasons, this venue is the perfect way to start the next chapter of your life with all of your loved ones. Everything from the staff, the food, the beautiful spaces, will have you and your guests remembering this place, and the day you spend here, for the rest of your lives.

What a beautiful place to get married! As soon as we walked inside I knew this would be the place! We met with Martin and he is friendly, patient, kind, easy to talk to. I can’t say enough about how helpful he was with the wedding planning. Our original date was April 2021 but during Covid/ before vaccinates we didn’t think enough people would come and be able to enjoy our wedding. Martin made us feel comfortable every time we saw him and took the time to answer any questions we had, we could always call or email him and he got right back to us. He was very honest with what was going on. The day of our wedding 8/05/21 Martin, Lauren, and Adada were amazing!!! Adada made sure I was okay, if I needed to pee she was there to help me. Lauren made sure we were both calm and enjoying ourselves. Martin made sure we ate and made sure everything was smooth. My husband’s grandparents who were in wheelchairs called to tell us how well taken care of they were by Lauren and Martin. Many guests called us after to tell us how beautiful Old Tappan Manor was. If you haven’t seen it, it’s a must see with a big ballroom and beautiful windows, the waterfall in the back is amazing for gorgeous pictures. And can’t forget the beautiful gazebo in the front. Also guests told us how great the food is! They have so much to offer from the cocktail hour to picking your meals! I will def be going back to have other events here!

Toni C. The Old Tappan Manor went above and beyond for my husband and I. Our old GM left with only 1 month until our wedding but we were given Rockni as our new GM, and we couldn't have been happier. Rockni made us feel welcomed, supported, and catered to our every need! People are still raving about the food at the venue (salmon, chicken, chateaubriand). Lauren did an amazing job as well keeping everything together. Being a COVID bride I was so nervous but The Old Tappan Manor made everything perfect. The reason I did not give 5 starts was because I had a few guest say that there was one bartender who was kind of cold, and unfriendly, and when I went to pick up my things after the wedding I had a whole case of favors given back to me so I would think that some guest did not get a favor because of that, and my acrylic signs were missing. Other than that I would 100% recommend this venue.

My husband and I got married at this venue during the pandemic. We loved this venue!! Martin, the catering director, was so accommodating and very professional! Due to Covid-19, everything was very uncertain, but Martin always reassured us to feel at ease. They were very accommodating to our every need. He walked with us throughout our whole planning process! He even made sure to remind us to enjoy the day. Amada, the Bridal Attendant, and Lauren, the Maitre D, were also very helpful on the wedding day! They were with us all throughout the event, making sure that we were well cared for (& fed something many couples forget on the wedding day)! And the food, let me tell you.... Our guests have been raving about the food! Everything was delicious!! I hope I get to attend an event at this venue as a guest in the future so I can eat all the foods I didn't get to eat!! We love Old Tappan Manor!!

I couldn't be happier with my daughter's wedding reception. Martin and the staff were dedicated, attentive and professional. Martin was easy to work with and given all the uncertainty and rescheduling due to the pandemic, he remained unfazed, pleasant and eager to work with us. The food was plentiful and delicious. The ballroom and surrounding grounds are beautifully kept and the waterfall adds to the charm. The party went off seamlessly. We are so happy we chose this venue.

Could not have been happier with our decision to use Old Tappan Manor as our wedding venue. Martin was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. He was so easy to work with and even though we had to reschedule twice, he made us feel confident that we would get the wedding we always wanted.When the day finally came, everything was perfect. The food was incredible, the room was beautiful, and the staff was exceptional.I have zero regrets about choosing Old Tappan Manor and I genuinely cannot recommend this venue enough.

This was the first venue I went to see and I fell in love as soon as I saw the Ballroom. They are considered a hidden gem in New Jersey. They renovated the ballroom a couple years ago and removed all the carpet(the reason I fell in love) I hate carpets in any venue just a personal thing, I suffer from allergies and I was not comprising on that. Thankfully Old Tappan is all marble floors. From the stunning ballroom to the chandeliers to the windows to the outside, it was perfect! We didn’t need to stop anywhere for photos, the venue had plenty of areas for photos. Their staff was amazing! My Maitre D was Lauren, she was the best and so easy to work with. Amara the bridal attendant was impeccable, always there when I needed her especially to help me with my dress. I booked with Martin and from start to finish he was great, answered every email/call within hours if not minutes. With Covid there was a lot of unknowns and they were absolutely great with the whole process. No issues with postponing (originally booked for Oct 2020) he was very honest throughout the whole process. My guests all loved the food and drinks! I was worried with the bar being outside the ballroom and not being enough so Martin set one up inside for us too, well let’s just say the outside one was enough, the staff was great! & with one wedding at a time there was no sharing the venue with another wedding/event which was a plus for us.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. My wedding was canceled a year in advance due to something devastating. When I emailed them to tell them I would not have the wedding and I would want my deposit back, theyre response was basically “I don’t care about what happened, I am keeping your deposit. Thanks.” It turned out to be a blessing in disguise, bc the place is not well kept, but I would also NEVER a place like this a part of a special day. We understand this is a business, but they had PLENTY of time to book that day, which we confirmed they did. They told me they would give me my deposit back if they were to book that day, and I drove by in that day and they did. I even took pictures and sent it to them but all of my emails and phone calls have gone unanswered.

I had my wedding here in December 2020, and it was beyond perfect. Despite all of the Covid 19 regulations and guidelines that had to be followed, Moufid and his team did a fantastic job creating the wedding of our dreams, while more importantly keeping the staff, and our guests safe.The venue itself is very reasonably priced, beautiful (the ballroom is GORGEOUS!!!!), the food delicious, and the staff is exceptional. I want to give special recognition to Lauren our Maitre D who kept everyone in line and assured that my husband and I were happy and comfortable. She was so calm, sweet, and made sure the night went smoothly. Her hospitality really set the venue apart and was a big part of our wedding day's success. I also wanted to recognize Amada my bridal attendant who helped me maneuver my dress all night and ensured that I looked beautiful in every picture. She also braved the New Jersey December weather while we took pictures outside. She was great!Last but not least I want to give a special thanks to Moufid. He is so calm, patient, and kind. My mother and I were constantly calling him asking questions, trying to figure out how we can safely have a wedding during these trying times, and he always had great advice and was very informed. Despite all of the constant changes and regulations Moufid helped us create the most beautiful wedding! He is truly one of a kind and the best at what he does.I definitely recommend Old Tappan Manor for weddings and any other event. You will not regret your choice!

This review is long overdue, but I got married in August and I do not regret ever choosing this venue for our special day. I have so many good things to say about Martin because he helped us out so much leading up to the wedding to the day of. We had our ceremony outside in the backyard and the reception in the reception hall. Looking back at videos, Martin went above and beyond when it came to the lights (changing colors, flickering, setting the mood every time). Other venues charged extra when it came to details like these, but Martin's main priority was to make us happy and it definitely showed. Throughout the day, he would come up to us and make sure everything was going well and we didn't have any complaints. Our maitre d' Lauren was also fantastic! From setting up the venue hall to going over our rehearsal with family and friends involved to also making sure things went smoothly, she was a great help. My bridal attendant (I'm sorry I forgot her name!) always made sure I was okay and took care of me, my food and drinks, and my dress. All parties made sure my husband and I were well fed - something that we heard from other friends that got married that they missed out on. We held our tea ceremony (Chinese tradition during weddings) in the bridal suite upstairs. If the bridal party decides to get ready there, there is definitely an ample amount of space for everyone to be comfortable. I had about 20 family members in the suite during this time and it didn't feel cramped. Someone that was in charge of bringing the tea for the ceremony forgot to bring the tea, so my bridesmaids quickly ran down to Lauren and she took care of getting us tower water boiler, tea packets, and several mugs since the amount we brought weren't going to be enough to accommodate the time before heading back down for the start of the reception.The venue itself is beautiful. The layout of the backyard (if you plan to hold an outdoor ceremony) is inviting and you also pass by an elegant waterfall/fountain which made a beautiful backdrop in pictures. The bar was located in the lobby which was good in-between for the cocktail reception area and the reception hall. We had no complaints regarding the venue itself and received many praises for choosing a great venue. The FOOD was a big big plus - we received many compliments stating that this venue was some of the few locations that served quality food (they have their own kitchen in the back so nothing is delivered from outside)To Martin, Lauren, my bridal attendant, the chefs, waiters, set up/break down crew, THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH for such a smooth and memorable day.Have your wedding here! You won't regret it - I promise!

Everything and everyone at Old Tappan was amazing. The food was incredible. Everyone has commented how wonderful the cocktail hour and dinner were. The ambiance was amazing. The staff was great and was always available to meet everyone's needs. Moufid and Channa were great and made sure our day was great!! My husband and I wish we could get married again, just to have the same experience.

The Old Tappan Manor was the perfect venue for our wedding. We worked with Martin, who made sure all of our wants and desires were met. The food was excellent and the room looked perfect. The outdoor area for our ceremony was quiet, serene and just magical. We have already recommended the Old Tappan Manor to some of our friends. Also of note, Lauren (maitre'd) and Ashley (bridal attendant) were amazing, they made sure everything ran smoothly.

Stop your venue search here! They went above and beyond all my wife and I's expectations. Everything from day 1 was perfect. Lets be real here, you're here to find out prices, quality of food, drinks, and how instagram worthy is this place. SO LETS START!I'm going to be blunt here. No venue in the area that only has 1 event going on at a time, with this amount of space, and amount of professionals in there can beat the price we were given. Every single venue we visited before and after OTM when we were searching were quoting us upward of 5-10K for the same date and time. First win for OTM.Food... you will defintely be happy with what is served here, wanna know why? BECAUSE YOU GET TO CHOOSE IT YOURSELF! When you choose OTM for your venue, the manager (ours was Martin) goes through everything with you in detail and gives you a 4-5 page list of types of appetizers, entres, booths for your cocktail hour and everything. And guess what, you're invited to try all the food in a wedding closer to your date. Our guests loved the food, oysters, sushi, lamb, steak, you name it they got it... and its the high quality stuff. Win #2 for OTMNext Drinks. OPEN BAR BABY! It should just win off that, but lets dive down a little further. They only serve top shelf drinks here. They have a full bar right in the middle of the venue, but you actually don't have to even go to it to get your drinks. We had about 2 servers for table which made getting drinks and your food so easy! So there isnt a bar in the main hall, but you can always ask to have one put in which worked out great for us to make sure no one left the dance floor to go into the bar area. WIN #3LASTLY ! IS THIS PLACE IG WORTHY. HECK YES! THE HIGH CEILINGS AND CHANDELIERS!!! THE FOUNTAIN IN THE BACK? THE GAZEBO IN THE FRONT. All the decorative lights you can imagine. Id recommend everyone to get their wedding/event here if i could.The best thing to note is that....We didn't have to lift a finger in terms of decorating and ensuring everything was in place. We were also sooo grateful that they accommodated our many guests and bridal party that arrived around half an hour early. My wife's coworker looked through endless venues in Westchester and ended up choosing OTM after attending our wedding! The place is great. 5 star recommendation.

I will forever be so grateful to Old Tappan Manor for all they did for our wedding! This was the most accommodating and beautiful venue I could have asked for and made all the planning super easy. My guests were raving about the food weeks after the wedding and loved all the staff helping us out. Moufid helped us plan everything from Day 1 and was extremely accommodating and so friendly, thanks so much for that! Lauren is the most perfect Maitre D that exists and really knows how to get the job done so well. The bartenders and servers were all exceptional, fun and super attentive. Lastly, I had an incredible bridal assistant who made everything so easy for me and went above and beyond. This venue really made the best day ever for me and my husband too!! Thanks so so much!

My daughter had her wedding and reception at the Old Tappan Manor. From start to finish, the service was exceptional. Martin, Lauren, Ashley and the rest of the staff made the night fantastic. The venue is beautiful , clean and updated. The reception room is large enough so it wasn’t crowded at all. Since they only do one event at a time, the staff was always there for us . The cocktail hour, dinner and room full of desserts were out of this world. The outside paving stone patio and waterfall all added to the positive experience. I can’t say enough about the OTM. I highly recommend!

We were so incredibly impressed with this venue and it’s fantastic team of coordinators and staff. We worked with Martin to plan our wedding reception from start to finish and he was such a pleasure to work with! Lauren and Ashley were incredible attendants the night of the wedding and took such great care of us! The food was plentiful and delicious and it is just a beautiful space. Every aspect of the evening went off without a hitch, and I had every confidence that it would after how attentive and professional they were during the planning process. We are so happy that we went with the Old Tappan Manor for our wedding venue! Our guests were just as impressed as we were. Thank you for everything! We looked at countless wedding venues in the year prior to our wedding, but we knew when we walked into The Old Tappan Manor that this was it! Martin was our contact from start to finish – answering our initial email and in attendance the night of the reception. Martin was able to work within our budget, especially since we were open to a Sunday night wedding. We can’t stress enough how grand the cocktail hour was, just incredible the quality and quantity of the food! Our guests raved about the passed hors d'oeuvres, carving stations, pasta stations, Polish & German & Italian stations and more! The cocktail space comfortably fit our 120 guests, but we could see it getting a tad crowded with larger weddings. Also, the dinner choices were amazing – we received a TON of compliments on the Filet Mignon, one of the BEST we’ve ever had, cooked to perfection. As far as the grounds, it’s really something you must see in person – this place is a true hidden gem. The ballroom is simply stunning, complete with marble floors throughout and breathtaking chandeliers. The ballroom also has different lighting features that can be adjusted to your taste! Just beyond the ballroom are doors leading to a picturesque waterfall – a pristine picture opportunity not only for us as bride and groom, but for all our guests as well! If you travel out into the front of the building you can also utilize the gazebo for additional photo ops! Just about a week before our event when dropping off the final payment, we did have to ask about the change of the summer flowers to fall mums and if they would be changed before our big day – which they were! But something to keep in mind if you plan to have your wedding when the seasons change.The night of our wedding reception was amazing and we wish we could re-live it again and again! Martin was able to work with their distributor to secure us some craft beer and a special tequila request for our guests. Lauren was our Maître’ D, and she was FANTASTIC, we can’t say enough about her – she knew exactly what to do, when to do it, and how to get it done. We also had “D” as our bridal attendant, she was at our sides throughout the ENTIRE night, asking what we needed before we even knew we needed something. The bartenders and waiters did their jobs wonderfully; there was never a line at the bar to get a drink, and the waiters really wowed our guests with their attentiveness – we received multiple comments on how great they were.We can’t say thank you enough to everyone at the OTM who helped make our wedding day PERFECT! We look forward to coming back as guests for an event in the future so we can enjoy it all over again!-Alison & Al 11.11.18

Absolutely perfect. The venue was beautiful, and everything was set up exactly the way we wanted it. We had great weather, so we were able to take lots of pictures in their gazebo and by their backdoor waterfall. The guests went on and on about how delicious the food was, from the cocktail hour to the Viennese hour. What was insane to me was that they had a bar mitzvah in the room until 5 PM with our cocktail hour starting at 6:30 PM, and you would have NO IDEA. They are a well-oiled machine.Martin was fantastic to work with and made the planning process fun and simple. The day of the wedding, the maitre'd and bridal attendant were SO helpful without being overbearing; they made everything go smoothly and made sure my husband and I were taken care of the whole night.If you want something classic and elegant without being over-the-top, this is the perfect venue for you. Overall wonderful experience.

The Old Tappan Manor was the location for the wedding of our dreams! As soon as we pulled up, we knew that this would be the perfect location. The ballroom is the definitely the main highlight of this venue, which is important because you spend the most time in that room. It is absolutely beautiful from the marble floors, high ceilings, crystal chandeliers, beautiful windows overlooking a waterfall, and the grounds are impeccably taken care of. The room is massive, but doesn’t feel empty. Many of our guests really enjoyed the size of the dance floor. We worked with Martin Shanley, who was nothing but accommodating. He is extremely professional, trust worthy, experienced, and honest (which is not always easy to find in the wedding industry). We were also attracted to this venue because they only host one event at a time. This truly allowed for the OT Manor to just focus on our event. Our wedding guests beamed about the venue telling us how beautiful it was and raved about the food. The cocktail hour was amazing and many of our friends and family are still raving about it (3 months later) There was delicious selections ranging from eggplant rollatini, sushi, sliders, pierogies, to a full raw bar. The dinner selections were also delicious and you can tell that they were freshly prepared (another benefit of being the only event held). Throughout our wedding night, my husband and I had a “bridal attendant” named Christine. She was fantastic! Every time we turned around she was there to help us and get us anything we needed. She made sure that we sat down and ate but also gave us drinks (including giving us water to stay hydrated). Lauren was our maître de and was also extremely attentive to detail. We had a “dancing on the cloud” for our first dance song which unfortunately soaked the dance floor. I personally saw Lauren wiping the dance floor to ensure that the floor was not slippery for our guests. Overall, the Old Tappan Manor was excellent. I highly recommend this venue for anyone looking in Bergen County. You’re guaranteed to be happy!

We had our wedding here recently and couldn’t have been any more thrilled with the whole experience, from our first meeting with Martin (you will love him!!!) all the way through our reception. The Old Tappan Manor was a gorgeous and elegant venue. Everyone was thrilled with all of the delicious choices at cocktail hour and the entrees were incredible. They even have a bride attendant. She was the sweetest and made my night as well as my grooms smooth and stress free along with the Maître D’. We are so happy with our decision to have our big day there and highly recommend it to couples looking for their dream venue!

When looking for a venue in Northern NJ it is EXTREMELY hard to find something that is beautiful and updated, has great food, a great outdoor/indoor space and overall pricing that won't kill you (as some people aren't lucky to have help from anybody other than themselves). My husband Brian and I worked with Martin at Old Tappan. I honestly could rave about him for days, he was FANTASTIC to work with and is an amazing part of the team they have there, they are truly lucky to have him as a Sales Manager. He made the process incredibly smooth, answered all my questions, and was very present which I think is not very common now a days. Let’s start off with the day of, when they say things will go wrong on your wedding day and you have to roll with it it is the TRUTH that is. . except if you are getting married at Old Tappan Manor. Things went wrong with hair/makeup, the cake layers being reversed, and the hotel but not 1 THING went wrong with our venue. Literally not one thing. We pulled up to Old Tappan at 4PM the day of to be greeted by Martin along with our maitre d' and our bridal attendant. When I tell you the staff was attentive, let me give you an idea. I was standing talking to one of my bridesmaids while the guys were getting their pictures taken and I mentioned I would die for a coca cola because I was so thirsty. I swear nobody was around us to hear and out of nowhere 2 minutes later comes the bridal attendant with a coke. I know that’s small but it was ALL DAY/NIGHT long. They were always there in the case we needed anything but not overbearing where they were on our tails. They knew when to be around and when to give space which was AMAZING. People say you don’t eat on your wedding day – well they clearly had the wrong spot picked because we ate (it was delish). They made sure of it. While in the bridal suite signing our license they brought up everything from the cocktail hour, they made sure we enjoyed our salad, our entrée, and our dessert. We even took home our leftover entrée that we didn’t finish because we were too busy dancing. The place our cake came from must have mixed up the levels on the cake (as I am highly allergic to chocolate) and when we did our cake cutting I noticed it was chocolate but don’t worry our maitre d' was there and made sure I ate and re-cut a different part of the cake. The reason I mention this is because as soon as I saw it and was like uh, she picked right up asked what happened – I told her I was allergic to chocolate and she said don’t worry, found the layer with no chocolate in a matter of seconds and it was as if nothing as any different. We got married on May 11th of this year and everyone is still raving about the food and the service. One of our guests stated “ I never had to leave the ballroom for a drink, the waitstaff always ensured I was never empty”, my uncle said that his entrée (he picked the filet) “was the best he has had in years”.My grandpa who isn’t in the best of shape was literally treated like royalty. They ensured he always had what he needed, never had to wait, or get up and walk (which is a bit hard for him right now). I mean honestly, the entire staff was amazing. They never made us feel pressured into booking, they were honest from start to finish, the venue and grounds are BEAUITFUL, they were clear in direction and advisement, easy of working and planning (I honestly felt the least bit stressed about our venue), incredible food and phenomenal service!

I couldn't be happier with my choice of having our wedding at Old Tappan Manor. The team there - Moufid, Lauren and Christine - were honestly the best people ever. We got married this past Saturday, on January 20th - a winter wedding. My fiance and I planned our wedding from California and from start to finish, Moufid made the process easy and seamless. His professionalism and customer service was exceptional. The day of, Lauren took our supplies for decoration and made our vision a beautiful reality. Christine, the Bridal Attendant, was more than I could have ever asked for. Lauren and Christine were our fairy godmothers. Every guest complimented how beautiful the space was, from the reception hall to the bathrooms! Although I didn't eat any of the food, everyone said they left with full and satisfied bellies. All in all, it was the best experience I could have ever asked for and would recommend OTM to all!

I am still speechless with how incredible The Old Tappan Manor was. My husband and I got married here on October 20th, 2017. It was the most magical night. Martin was great to work with; he was so helpful. On the night of wedding, the staff was also amazing and attentive. Not only did the gorgeous ballroom blow our guests away. They also raved about the phenomenal cocktail hour and delicious food. I highly recommend OTM if you’re looking for a wedding venue that’s affordable, beautiful and has GREAT food. I hope I get to be a guest at a wedding here someday, and can experience the venue again!

The venue is absolutely gorgeous; the pictures on TheKnot.com aren’t updated. The venue has been remodeled and the place looks amazing. The food was so delicious. All of our guests enjoyed the food, and raved about the cocktail hour. Martin and his staff were excellent; they were easy to work with and made all our dreams come true. I highly recommend the Old Tappan Manor if you’re looking for a beautiful venue, with amazing food, great staff, and affordable prices.

We just had our wedding on 10.01.17 at the Old Tappan Manor. The amount of compliments we had gotten because of the AMAZING cocktail hour. The food was delicious, the Hall was stunning. The entire grounds to take pictures were amazing. The service was impeccable. Martin made the entire process easy and smooth. Everything was exactly the way I wanted it. He worked with all of our needs and went above and beyond to make our day perfect. Lauren our bridal attendant was fabulous!!!!! I am so happy we chose The Old Tappan Manor. My family and friends still can’t stop bragging about the food and how stunning the hall looks especially since they renovated the whole thing ! I HIGHLY recommend them not only because it was my wedding but because the food was amazing, and the services was phenomenal. You want your wedding to make a statement and The Old Tappan Manor surly did!

We had our wedding July 2017 and I honestly cannot say enough amazing things about the venue, the food, and the staff. Martin guided us through the entire process and was extremely accommodating to the many requests we had throughout the entire process. Lauren the Bridal attendant was outstanding and went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and my needs were met the day of. The venue is spotless and beautiful, and we have people raving about the food until today. Unfortunately, my husband and I were so busy we were unable to enjoy all the food, but the viennese table is worth it a million times over! Thank you OTM for an amazing day and memories to last a lifetime. I will say that while Old Tappan Manor is not as publicized as other venues and the brand name is not as well known, it is by all means a hidden diamond in Northern New Jersey.

The Old Tappan Manor was the perfect venue for our dream wedding! From the beginning they were helpful, informative, available. Any one who worked there, even if not assigned to our day, were willing to help and assist me with any questions. The food was PHENOMENAL and still talked about! The options for cocktail hour alone were unbelievable ; there was something for everyone! They even worked with me to make specialty drinks to fit our theme and personalities. The reception room was absolutely stunning and the included up-lighting added a magical/party feel the minute you walked in. The private bridal suites was the perfect place to refresh and take in the day and the outside space was perfect for capturing every picture-perfect moment. From arrival to departure the staff didn't stop to make sure everything was perfect and everyone was happy. Mofeit and Martin were wonderful to work with. They were knowledgeable, supportive, and willing to please. The provided bridal attendant Lauren was out of this world! She was there before you even had the chance to ask for her and a pleasure to have standing by your side. I recommend The Old Tappan Manor to anyone that is looking to have more than an event, but a memorable, worth-while experience.

Ack such an overdue review! This was for our wedding in December 2016. Could not have been happier with the service and the day! The Old Tappan Manor is a well-oiled machine, meaning they are amazing at keeping time and making sure things are not delayed or taking too long. They made sure we rehearsed the ceremony beforehand so everyone knew exactly what to do, where to stand, etc. We were brought into the bridal suite during cocktail hour and there was already a table filled with food for us to consume (which I was glad to do!) and they made sure nobody bothered us - it was GREAT to have that little bit of time to ourselves! Lauren (the bridal attendant) was WONDERFUL, even took the time to figure out who was who (family, bridal party, etc) and was so personable and did a fabulous job. Rich, the maitre'd was also great, super organized and really knows what he's doing. Martin was also great to deal with before and during the wedding. The food was amazing, our guests STILL talk about how good everything was.The ooooonly thing I did have to ask for during the wedding was to turn the lights down during the free dancing, but that took less than a minute to be done.Anyway, if you are thinking about having your wedding here - do it! It's a beautiful property, the food is fabulous, and the service is top-notch!

Having my wedding at Old Tappan manor was the best decision I've ever made! First off I was planning my wedding out of state and Martin made it so easy! He was very flexible with any times that I came home to work out the details for the big day! We had 250 people and the ballroom was set up so beautifully and was not cramped at all! The food was unbelievable and all my guests RAVED about it! The cocktail hour was like something I hadn't never seen before ! So many options and so delicious. The bridal attendant was so sweet and anytime I needed something she was right there next to me! If I had any little bumps in the road while planning or Getting close to the big day Martin would always say that he would handle it and my only job was to have fun and enjoy the experience. I can't get over how accommodating they were and how great all the staff was! Also the pictures we took on the property were gorgeous !! So many different settings in just one venue '! They really made my night so special and my guests are still talking about how great it was! If you are even comparing old tappan manor to another venue don't look any further because this is the place to go to!

An all around perfect wedding venue experience!! Just had our wedding reception at the OTM in October 2016. It was everything and more - and I am a very particular type of person. The short answer is: OTM is perfect - no compromising required (physical aesthetic, staff, food, price ALL excellent). Absolutely a diamond in the ruff of NY/NJ wedding venues!! We stumbled upon this venue while doing our initial list generation - neither of us had ever been to or knew anyone who had been to OTM for functions. The long answer is below:Martin: We worked with Martin, who is just wonderful, and a big part of the reason that we decided on the OTM versus the other 'typical' NJ/NY venues we had visited. Martin is absolutely professional, personable, attentive, available, down to earth, and experienced. He worked with us to custom design the day of our dreams. From menu decisions to seating arrangements to personalized decor that he accommodated us bringing on site for the big day, there was not a single hiccup along the way. The physical property is wonderful. A classic and clean aesthetic. An awesome entry foyer with beautiful dark wood bar! Excellent dedicated cocktail hour space with ample seating - a unique and luxury feature for cocktail hour! The ballroom space is classic, spacious, and charming. High ceilings and lots of windows! We loved that our 175 guests weren't cramped. Dance floor for days! There are two outdoor spaces - one covered patio with high tables (where we hired a cigar roller for an awesome element), the other an open patio with a lit waterfall (where we brought a gas fire pit). The bridal suite (yes it is a real designated space unlike many other venues that allocate a closet for you) is gigantic with a spacious private bathroom. Once the cocktail hour begins for your guests, Martin will kick the bridal party out so that the bride and groom have 15 minutes of peace, during which you will be served a bountiful sampling of the cocktail hour foods and drink! It is something he really emphasizes, and really made a big impact on our day! Food/Drink: Just really fantastic - and that is not a relative evaluation based on the fact that wedding food is typically meh. This food was actually objectively very good, coming from someone who values food over many things in life.. The cocktail hour selection list is gigantic - and the number of choices you make leaves you with what is still a virtually endless variety of food. The bar staff was great! The open bar was catered to our likes - the groom wanted Grey Goose, so Grey Goose was available. Another unique feature of this venue: the table waiters take drink orders and deliver them to guests at the tables. Richie (Maitre d'): Awesome. Richie is incredibly professional and a master of his craft. Super organized and efficient - we wish we could hire him to run our lives. If you are looking for a venue with elegance, the Old Tappan Manor is the place to go! Martin was an absolute pleasure to work with! From the very beginning to the end of our wedding, Martin was there so help with everything we needed! The recommendations they provided for vendors were perfect! Our DJ and photographer were suggestions of the Old Tappan Manor and we were thrilled with them as well! The day of the wedding, Lauren and Rich were fantastic! There was no stress on our day with the team of Martin, Lauren, and Rich. We got married the end of June and we still receive praise of how amazing our wedding was! We cannot begin to thank them enough for all that they did to make the start of our marriage so wonderful!

The OTM was the perfect setting for our wedding. We had many people coming from out of town and having the ceremony and reception in one location was important to us. The food was second to none. As my bride, I regret that I didn't get a chance to enjoy as much of my food as my guests did. The venue was stunning, the perfect backdrop for our photos. Family and friends continue to comment on what an outstanding time they had.Rich was the maitre d', and Lauren was the bridal attendant. They both were on the ball and readily available whenever we needed them.We could not recommend the OTM highly enough.

We got married here in August and it was love at first sight! From the first moment we met Martin, all of our needs and wants were never a problem. He honestly made the reception the easiest part to plan. The whole place is gorgeous and breathtaking. Even though my husband's party caused us to be 45 minutes late (something always has to go wrong lol) Old Tappan Manor was nothing but accommodating. Martin made sure the photographer stayed on track so that my husband and I could actually enjoy time alone. Everyone is still talking about the amazing time they had. From the delicious and extravagant cocktail hour to the beautiful chandeliers and marble all over the place. I wish I could do it again all over!!Martin even personally told me when he was heading out and made sure I was OK before hand. Of course I was because he left everything in the hands of Rich, the matre'd. The bridal assistant was also very attentive and she made me feel like it was still about my husband and me even though we all know it wasn't lol! You will not be making a mistake having your reception here. Everything is perfect from the bathrooms to the food to the landscaping. And not to mention, it was much more bang for your buck than the 10 other venues we looked at. Thank you Martin and the rest of the Old Tappan Manor staff for making another couple have the wedding of their dreams!

When we stopped in to look at the venue with Martin, my husband and I automatically knew that this was our last tour! The Old Tappan Manor is classy, beyond beautiful, and exceeded our expectations by far!!! Martin was a pleasure to work with and was always very polite, attentive, and helpful! He helped us immensely with the planning process and was with us every step of the way the evening of our wedding! I had so many compliments on the food! The French fry bar was a favorite and we sprung for a roasted whole pig (totally worth the extra couple hundred). Our guests raved about the service as well! Rich, our maitre d', was organized, attentive, and very in tune with our needs! Lauren, my bridal attendant, was so amazing and helped me with anything and everything I needed! We were thrilled with The Old Tappan Manor and would recommend it to anyone and everyone! Thank you for an amazing wedding!

I cannot possibly rave about Old Tappan Manor enough. My husband and I were blown away by the professionalism and courtesy of the people working at Old Tappan Manor. Martin was awesome to work with and our wedding was everything we could have dreamed of. We had our ceremony at a church but once we arrived for the reception, we were greeted right away. Champagne was offered to guests and the staff was very accommodating and friendly. They really try their hardest to accommodate your needs. The venue itself is gorgeous! The outside grounds are beautiful for pictures and it is gorgeous inside with high ceilings, a large dance floor, and beautiful chandeliers. We had 240 guests who fit comfortably. Our friends and family still come up to us and tell us how beautiful everything was and how great the food was. The food, which is hit or miss at most weddings, was hands down the best I’ve had at any wedding we’ve ever been to before! Our experience at Old Tappan Manor was an 11 out of 10! I recommend Old Tappan Manor to any couple looking for a reception hall!

My Husband and I had our reception here on June 6, 2015. After searching many locations about 2 years ago, I was consistently disappointed that I could not find a place I loved. Then, I stumbled upon Old Tappan Manor through some more rigorous searching. I called and made an appointment to see it 2 days later. I was immediately impressed with the location, grounds, and amazing ballroom. I fell in love with it before Martin came down to meet me. We worked with Martin Shanley through pretty much all of the steps. He was easy to get in touch with and followed up on every question I had for him, even the minor ones. On top of that, I felt that Old Tappan Manor went above and beyond to give us little extras. Our Maitre d Richie was also great to work with. I only met him a week before the wedding, but everything went smooth thanks to him. Martin was also present throughout the entire reception which made me feel even more confident about the night going smoothly. All of my guests have said nothing but great things about our reception, including cocktail hour, the grounds, the service, the food, etc etc etc. Thank you Old Tappan Manor !!!!!

My husband and I were married at Old Tappan Manor on May 30, 2015 (this past Saturday). We worked with Martin Shanley through most of the process and were pleased with everything! The grounds are absolutely breathtaking (the gorgeous gazebo, the waterfall cascade with patio, the stunning ballroom) and the service was excellent! \r\rThere was a minor issue with the sushi station (apparently there was a car accident and the sushi did not arrive on time), but Martin quickly let us know about the issue, assured us they were getting replacement sushi, and offered to reimburse us the amount we paid for it! The replacement sushi arrived towards the end of our cocktail hour and Martin made sure not only that people were able to get some before the reception but also that we received a plate of it after our cocktail hour. People also really enjoyed the mashed potato bar, the carving station, as well as so many of the other delicious food available. The level of attention to detail was incredible! \r\rThroughout the night, all of our guests kept commenting on how great all of the food was and how attentive the waiters were. The facilities were clean and well maintained. We had a fantastic time and I would highly recommend Old Tappan Manor to any fellow bride and groom looking for a stunning place in northern NJ to celebrate your big day!!!!

We chose the Old Tappan Manor for many reasons. We loved the location and the beautiful setting. We loved the gorgeous ballroom, bar area and cocktail hour room. We loved the idea of being the only party at the location. And we loved Martin from the first time we met with him. He was so easy to communicate with and made planning so simple. He worked with our available dates and within our budget to help us create a perfect day. I have received so many compliments from our guests on the professionalism and excellent service from the staff and especially on the amazingly delicious food. Our ceremony was in the ballroom, and the transformation they made for the reception was incredible. I will definitely recommend the Old Tappan Manor to friends & hope that someone gets married here soon so I can attend another party at this terrific venue!!

The Old Tappan Manor was wonderful from start to finish! They were THE most affordable venue in Northern NJ we looked at. We started working with someone who eventually left the company, so there was a little confusion in the middle when I needed a few questions answered (as I had been emailing him and the fact he left was never communicated with me), but from then on we worked with Martin who was absolutely wonderful. He wound up giving us all these \"freebies\" not included in our original menu plan at no additional cost. He made sure the day of activities went so smoothly. The food was ABSOLUTELY THE BEST, which was important to me. People were really raving about it. The ballroom is absolutely gorgeous and the dancefloor is huge. They'll make whatever size wedding you're having work out great. I know that it's a bit of a drive for most people in NJ, but it was so worth it.

The day we drove into the scenic and beautiful Old Tappan Manor, which truly felt as though we were arriving at someone's elegant home, we knew this was the perfect place for us to have our wedding. From the beautiful grounds and waterfall, to the cocktail room, bridal suite and bar, every part of the venue is classic and decorated to the nines! The ballroom is simply magnificent and breathtaking. The chandeliers are out of this world and the lighting setup makes for such an incredible atmosphere for guests. And that's just the look of the place, not to mention the EXCEPTIONAL maitre d and staff at the Old Tappan Manor. \r\rWorking with Martin Shanley from day one led to smooth sailing for a year and a half of planning. I'll never forget how Martin said to us the day we met--- this is YOUR day and we will make it special and unique for you. He did not disappoint-- everything we wanted on that day, we had. My husband is a total food lover, so that was his area of expertise. When he and my dad looked at the menu options, their eyes just lit up! Everything you can imagine was on there and more. Our selections were sincerely enjoyed by all of our guests and some fan favorites were the raw bar with lobster, oysters and seafood of all kinds, handmade sushi right on site, a panini bar with cuban sandwiches and corned beef ruebens (showing our cuban and irish hertiage), the italian antipasto, pasta station, scampi station, meats... I can go on and on! Everything was enjoyed and there was something for every guest's palate. Martin and the chef on the day of our tasting recommended three exquisite entree options, that our guests selected the night of the wedding (a nice touch) and I've never seen so many entree plates wiped clean after a full happy hour! \r\rIn addition to the spectacular food, the most special part of the day, to me, as the bride, was the comfort that our friends at the Old Tappan Manor provided. Martin felt like a part of the family and I knew if i needed anything at all, I could find him and he would take care of it. Having planned events for most of my career, it is so important to have someone to lean on like Martin. I trusted him to help us run the event smoothy and honestly, everything went off without a glitch.\r\rThank you Martin & everyone at the Old Tappan Manor for making my fairytale wedding come true. I just had my wedding at the Old Tappan Manor, and it was incredible! We started off working with Alex, but he retired during the year that we were planning, and our event was taken over by Martin without a problem. Martin was friendly, easy to work with, and extremely accommodating. The ballroom and the venue itself is absolutely gorgeous, with the chandeliers, LED lighting, and marble dance floor, and the food is just delicious. Their pricing is also an amazing value for what you get! They also have a HUGE and beautiful bridal suite that was an excellent place for me and all of my bridesmaids to get ready during the day. I felt like we were taken care of the whole day and night. Frank was our Maitre'd. After the ceremony, my husband and I were ushered up to the bridal suite and given a sampling of every station at the cocktail hour (there were many!), so we actually had a chance to eat that night. During the reception, we were encouraged to eat our dinners, but since it was a lost cause, they wrapped up our meals for us and we ate them the following night. I would love to come back here as a guest. The whole wedding went off without a hitch, and I am so happy with the whole day!

We held our wedding reception at The Old Tappan Manor on 10/5/13. I have nothing but positive words for the staff at OTM. Our main point of contact was Martin, who was wonderful and a pleasure to work with during the wedding planning process. Alex was our Maître de on the day of and he worked very hard for us ensuring that our guests had a wonderful time. I received so many compliments from our friends and family regarding the beauty of the facility as well as the excellent food. OTM also had a wedding coordinator, Karoline, who made sure that my husband and I sat down to eat our dinner, had drinks and brought us a sampling of the cocktail hour food to the huge bridal suite. She was wonderful! This venue is an absolutely beautiful place to hold a reception. The ballroom looked stunning with our floral centerpieces and uplighting. It also has a very pretty outside area for pictures. I would highly recommend The Old Tappan Manor to anyone who is looking for a beautiful venue to host their wedding.

We had such a great experience with our wedding reception at the Old Tappan Manor. The maitre d, Martin, was quick to respond to emails and phone calls, and was very helpful throughout the planning process. His attention and professionalism was second to none on the day of the wedding. Even my father commented on how great Martin was, and he’s a hard person to impress! When we arrived in the limo, Martin was outside waiting for us. He escorted the bridal party into the cocktail hour room early so that they could eat before heading back outside to take pictures. He escorted me & my husband up to the bridal suite and brought us drinks and a variety of cocktail hour food. He told us to take as long as we wanted and to come down for pictures when we were ready. This was absolutely key: my husband was adamant about not missing out on the cocktail hour for pictures, and we were starving by the time we arrived. It was also nice to have a few minutes alone together before the reception started. This wasn’t something I asked for, and am so grateful that the Old Tappan Manor arranged for it!\r\rThe night went very smoothly - we had our own waitress standing by all night, and Martin found us when our dinners were served to make sure we sat down and ate them while they were hot. The décor and grounds are beautiful. I would recommend taking some pictures outside in front of the waterfall after the sun goes down…those are my favorite shots from our wedding.\r\rI would absolutely recommend the Old Tappan Manor as a wedding venue: the service, food (especially the cocktail hour), and ambiance were all top notch!

I had my July 19th wedding at The Old Tappan Manor. It was just beautiful. Everything ended up being perfect. We had many compliments regarding the venue and food. As a recommendation I would go with the mashed potato bar during cocktail hour, everyone loved it! Another recommendation would be their Viennese table. The amount of dessert you get and the variety is unbelievable. One suggestion if you do the Viennese table they do not cut and hand out your wedding cake to guests, they actually need to go up and get a piece, if I knew this I would have asked them to hand a piece out, not everyone wants to get up and go to the dessert table esp. older guests. Otherwise we had an amazing night and Martin was great to work with.

From the moment we stepped into the newly renovated Old Tappan Manor this past fall we knew that this was the place where we would be proud to have our wedding reception. The cocktail space had plenty of tables to sit and high-top tables for people to stand also and enjoy the food and drinks at the same time while mingling. The ballroom is gorgeous with magnificent chandeliers and tasteful lighting. It has the perfect amount of decoration without being gaudy. The grounds are beautifully landscaped with great places to take pictures if the day is nice. There is a gazebo and waterfall which is lit up at night also. The waterfall is right behind the window where they place the bride and groom table during the reception. Martin was a pleasure to work with through the entire process and helped the whole night run flawlessly. The cocktail hour food was beautifully displayed and everyone raved about the stations and passed hors d'oeuvres. The reception room was well-decorated and light with purple uplighting for a romantic feel. Dinner was delicious. Both the groom and I had the chateaubriand and yes we did have a chance to eat because Martin made sure to bring us some cocktail food before we went to the cocktail hour and also made sure we sat for a few minutes for the dinner. At the end of the evening we had a Viennese Table in addition to the normally served dessert at the request of the groom and for an additional cost. They went above and beyond what we expected they would do for it and our guests are still talking about it. We had the perfect wedding reception and I give a lot of the credit to the staff at Old Tappan Manor for making it such a wonderful celebration that my husband and I got to share with our friends and family. I highly recommend checking out The Old Tappan Manor for your wedding. You will not be disappointed.

We recommend Old Tappan Manor to anyone looking for the three aforementioned things on their wedding day. My fiance fell in love with the ballroom and the lighting, and I was impressed with the food. Alex, Martin, Joseph, and their entire staff worked tirelessly to ensure that a good time was had by all. \r\rOne of our concerns as a same-sex couple was finding a venue that would understand the inherent differences of our wedding, yet treat us as they would any other couple. We found that, and more, with the good folks at OTM. Not only was our same-gender union a non-issue, but by having only one event at a time, we were really given personal and individual attention that other reception sites couldn't offer to us. We were thrilled with the results!

We absolutely loved our wedding at the Old Tappan Manor! The place is just stunning! The ballroom is gorgeous and the brand new addition to the cocktail hour room made all the difference. Everyone kept coming up to me after and saying how amazing the service was and how delicious the food was! I was a little concerned about not having a bar set up in the ballroom and they assured me that the waiters would take drink orders all night and they absolutely did. Alex and Martin were amazing on the day of our wedding, they took such great care of everything! \rMy wedding was the week of Hurricane Sandy and lucky the OTM was ready to go no matter what, a tree had fallen down in front and they had it cleared within a day. They had a backup generator and made me feel totally comfortable that my wedding would be able to stay as scheduled. \rThe prices at the Old Tappan Manor cannot be beat. There is nowhere as pretty and nice as the OTM for the price, I looked at so many venues and the Old Tappan just had it all!

We immediately fell in love with the OTM when we first saw it. My husband's parents and sister also both had their weddings there. The renovations are absolutely stunning, and the new cocktail room makes all the difference in the world (we went to a wedding before it was complete). After booking the OTM, I have to say we weren't overly impressed with the customer service. They are very confident in their way of doing things and make you feel a little uncomfortable when you ask for something different. That being said our wedding was honestly perfect. Martin was our maitre'd for the day (we had worked with Alex for the year leading up to the wedding). Martin was absolutely excellent. He checked in with us regularly and even gave us advice based on his experience. The night was a huge success, with one exception. Our fish option, which we had been looking forward to for a month, was not correct. The fish they served us was excellent (as was everything else), it just wasn't our original entree choice.

I loved the fact that this venue held only 1 event at a time. Also, the place was absolutely beautiful inside and outside. The manager, Ruben, was also wonderful and catered to our every need.

The main room & chair covers :)Set up beautiful! Also the gazebo outside for pictures even though it rained on our wedding day! :(
