Olde Mill Inn & Grain House Restaurant is a historic wedding venue located in Basking Ridge, NJ. The inn is set on 10 acres of charming country estate, offering glorious natural surroundings and an expanse of peaceful scenery. Outdoor gazebos provide a stunning space for ceremonies and wedding photos, while the chef’s cuisine is sure to delight the most discerning palates. This property dates back to the 18th century when the gristmill and barn were originally built by miller Samuel Lewis. The property was then purchased by reputable restauranter William Childs in 1929, who converted the barn into the inn it is today. During this process, Childs forwent a total renovation and chose to restore the buildings to their early splendor. Today, the venue retains many of its original features to give your wedding day the charm and authenticity of genuine architecture. The venue offers a choice of event spaces for both small celebrations and larger, more grandiose affairs. The Grand Washington Ballroom in the Inn can accommodate up to 240 guests. Decorated with rich draped curtains and elegant chandeliers, this room evokes a luxurious and tasteful air. You and your guests can walk through to the outside courtyard to enjoy a view of the manicured gardens. For more intimate gatherings, couples may prefer to hold their reception in the Grain House. With rustic yet elegant decor, this site boasts a choice of three event rooms, each with its own unique features. Each space offers a passage outside, with private decking, terraces, and atriums, giving you and your loved ones the chance to take in the bountiful beauty of the gardens. We had our wedding in the ballroom. We felt so cared for and truly felt like we were of the highest importance for the entire duration of the wedding process. John was such a caring and proactive maitre d. He was always available and willing to help with any questions or concerns we had at ANY time. We got married on a Friday, so we had our rehearsal at the Grain House, which was fantastic. We had our own room and the food was excellent. I stayed over Thursday night and had my bridal party get ready in the bridal suite the next morning, which I highly recommend because it is so spacious and made for a fun and relaxing atmosphere. It was also great for getting ready pictures!! I let the groomsmen have the Sawyer room, which was perfect for them to hang out and do whatever groomsmen do. This is such a spectacular venue! It will not disappoint!

We had our wedding at the Grain House Restaurant this past fall and it was perfect! Our contact was Lea and she gracefully answered all of our random questions before meeting our maitre'd. The food was great-all of our guests kept complimenting it! The reception space and outdoor scenery was beautiful. Our maitre'd David was spectacular! He guided us through everything and made it feel so easy! The staff helped set up everything day of and it looked perfect! Such a great place to have our special day and a fantastic group of people to work with!

If you are thinking about having your wedding at the Olde Mill Inn, do it! We had our ceremony and reception in the ballroom in September and everyone is still raving about it! From the initial tour to our wedding day, Lindsey was super responsive, answered all my questions and made the whole process seamless. After we decided on the Olde Mill Inn, we attended one of the Wedding Shows they hold, and that was a nice way for us to see the space set up and meet some vendors! For our food tasting we opted to bring our fathers along, and it was great decision, they gave us so much food that it was nice to have other opinions on it! It also allowed our dads to feel apart of our planning process! During the food tasting all the maître ’ds walk around and interact with you, immediately David stuck out to us, so we requested to have him as our Maitre’ d. We are so happy we did that as he went above and beyond to ensure our day was perfect! At our meeting with him, he was so thorough and answered all our questions, he didn’t rush us to make any decisions and gave us an opinion when we were stuck! During our rehearsal, he went over all our décor and ensured that he understood exactly what we would like! He was so thorough with the rehearsal and he made sure the whole party understood what was needed! Day of, he was there bright and early, checked in on us throughout the day, made sure all our vendors were okay and organized our chaotic crew! He made sure my husband and I ate, were hydrated and was there for all our needs! He set all our decorations up exactly how we envisioned! David continually checked in on all our immediate family members and got them whatever they needed! At the end of the night, he packed all our stuff up and brought it to our suite! He even had the suite cleaned after the guys got ready in it! David truly made our day so special and took so much stress off of us! David has also kept in touch with us post wedding!Now for the food, everything was delicious! We got a sandwich platter during the day for both the bridesmaids and groomsmen to eat and there was so many different options and all were delicious! During cocktail hour, everywhere you looked there was food! They are super conscience of allergies and make sure those with allergies are aware and taken care of! As for dinner, the servings were a nice size and everyone is raving about it! We did a super simple cake from Calandra’s and it was delicious! At the end of the night most of the cocktail hour food, entrees and a cake were put into our suite, which was super thoughtful! All in all we are so happy we chose the Olde Mill Inn and would highly recommend them to everyone!

And the staff at Olde Mill inn were nothing short of the best. Everyone loved the food, especially the pumpkin ravioli. Just got married on 11/12/23 in the Ball Room. Hands down the best day of our lives. We had David as our maître d who was absolutely phenomenal! He made my husband and I feel very at ease with the whole process and walked us through every step of the way both on and off the venue. Would highly recommend the Venue and David. We were sold on the venue and its packages by Lea! She was another delight to work with!! All in all our experience was wonderful! We felt like everything was at our fingertips… the rehearsal dinner venue to the guest rooms for our wedding guests to stay in!

My husband and I had the pleasure of hosting our micro-wedding at the Old Mill Inn in Basking Ridge, New Jersey, on October 19th, and I can't emphasize enough just how perfect our day was. From start to finish, it was an extraordinary experience.First and foremost, finding a venue that offered a perfect setting for micro-weddings (under 50 people) at such an affordable price was a dream come true. The per-plate prices were exceptionally reasonable, and the fact that they included an open bar was a fantastic bonus. The venue itself was nothing short of magical.We chose to hold both our ceremony and reception at the Old Mill Inn, and it was a fantastic decision. The outdoor setup for the ceremony, by the gazebo and near the river, was absolutely perfect. The serene backdrop of the river also provided stunning opportunities for our wedding photos. The attention to detail and the accommodations provided for the ceremony setup exceeded our expectations.For our reception, we opted for an indoor setting, and the setup was impeccable. The dance floor and bar area created a lively atmosphere, and the Old Mill Inn had thoughtfully taken care of every detail, from table arrangements to centerpieces, if desired. The food was delicious, and our guests couldn't stop raving about it.One feature that stood out was the availability of two rooms above the reception area for parties to get ready in. My bridesmaids and I spent the entire day there, from hair and makeup preparations to the moment our ceremony began. The convenience and comfort of these rooms were unparalleled.Planning a New Jersey wedding all the way from California made us a bit nervous, but the Old Mill Inn made it incredibly easy for us. They were responsive and accommodating every step of the way.Now, I must give special recognition to our Matre D, Reda. From the very beginning of the planning process, he stayed in close communication with us, addressing our questions and ensuring he had all the necessary details. On top of all that, he took our guest book, card box, centerpieces the day prior and with little to no instruction was able to create a beautiful ambiance using our stuff. Reda's updates throughout the day kept us informed and stress-free, as he took care of all vendor communication, allowing us to focus on getting ready and savoring the moment.Our wedding day at the Old Mill Inn was nothing short of perfect and seamless. I couldn't stop talking about how wonderful everything was. If we ever find ourselves on the East Coast again, planning another event, the Old Mill Inn will undoubtedly be our first choice. Our heartfelt thanks go to the entire team, and especially to Reda, for making our special day an unforgettable, picture-perfect experience. There is so much we can say about our venue! From the first visit, everyone was so welcoming and helpful. We first met with Lindsay, who is so sweet and gave us a full tour of the venue. She also answered all the questions we had and was so helpful finding our October date. Our maitre D was David and he was amazing! He helped us from the first day we met, until the very end. He made sure we were taken care of, made sure we ate, everything was good with the decorations, and overall made sure we were enjoying ourselves!! We even had an after party which he made sure was what we wanted as well. Olde Mill Inn has been in great communication with us, whether it’s phone, email, or text. Our guests also loved how convenient it was just staying there all weekend. And the positive comments on the food still continue! HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

We just had our wedding reception of 70 people at the Grain House at the Olde Mill Inn. This historic property is lovely, both inside and out (had an outdoor ceremony on 10/15). The staff is both pleasant and extremely professional. Our personal banquet manager/maitre d', Reda, consistently gave 110% to make sure our day went smoothly. And the food was five stars all the way - every single hors d'oeuvre right through three delicious entree choices and high quality drinks. This venue was not only a lovely place to have our wedding, we also believe it was an incredible value in today's wedding venue market. Thank you Reda and Olde Mill Inn!

I don’t even know where to begin - Olde Mill Inn exceeded every dream. It was the first venue we looked at and immediately had the “this is it” feeling. None of it would have been possible without the help from the team there. They immediately solidified it all for us. Lea was incredible from the very beginning until the very end. She answered every and all ridiculous call and email, and I hope she will always know how grateful I am for her. David was an absolute delight to work with. He was our right hand man and before we even were paired up with him we had hoped we would be. He was so attentive, understanding, receptive, and a genuine human being. I would recommend the Olde Mill Inn and their team to anybody! Thank you guys for giving us the best day, and the most incredible moments leading up to it. See you all soon!

There is nothing I'm more sure of than recommending the Olde Mill Inn for your wedding. From the moment I visited to my wedding day it was truly an easy and beautiful process. For starters it was important for us to have hotel accommodations close as majority of our guests traveling for our wedding and nothing is closer than inside the venue. The room block prices were very affordable, the rooms are beautiful, and OMI are flexible with you if you need more rooms for your block. Communication throughout the planning process was amazing, any question I had my sales person and Matire'd answered within hours (shoutout John and Lea)! The food is incredible and their packages and add-ons offer a variety of different types of foods. Leading up to the wedding (when anxiety levels are at the highest), John (my matire'd) worked with me to accommodate any and all decor drop off, changes, and questions. The day of was perfect from start to finish. The room where the bride and bridesmaids get ready is so big with a bathroom within steps. There are two stations with mirrors and chairs for hair and make-up, but we were actually able to set up three with the amount of room and stylists we had. The entire day John was attentive to me while handling all of the different vendors coming in and out. He also made sure my husband and I and our families constantly had food and drinks in our hands. We also had our wedding in September which enabled us to utilize the courtyard directly outside our cocktail and reception area. The ballroom was set up exactly how I imagined and the service throughout the wedding was impeccable. I truly could not recommend the Olde Mill Inn more if I tried.

My wife and I recently had our wedding at the Grain House. Our wedding was on the smaller side (less than 75 guests) and we didn't feel as cared for as a larger wedding would be.It ended up raining on the day of our wedding (good luck I'm told!) but we were ok with it since there are so many places inside to take pictures anyway. However, they were extremely overbooked and the Grain house was completely filled with events so there was no where to take pictures there. When we tried to take pictures in the hotel, we were repeatedly told \"no\" because apparently the larger wedding in the ballroom took precedence over our wedding. Our photographer had to take most of the pictures in our hotel room and just wait until the other events cleared at the Grain House.The real issue I had was with the maître d' who seemed a little annoyed the whole night and just wanted to get us in and out. When we sat down to pick food options with him, prices had gone up since we signed the contract the previous year. He said he was \"doing us a favor\" by honoring the older price. From that point on, he made sure to tell us just about every time he saw us how much his \"suggested\" tip was. Surely I would have considered at least getting close to it (it's a comically large number) if we thought the maître d' performed above and beyond, but that was certainly not the case. He did the usual duties that a maître d' does, but pretended as if he was moving heaven and earth for us. The waitstaff had to even picked up some of his slack and was fluffing my wife's dress before she processed for the ceremony. Various parts of the day no one could even find him, it's almost like he was managing the other events as well...Since it was raining and we couldn't have the ceremony at the gazebo, we opted to have it under the tent. The maître d' kept asking my wife and I separately if it could be moved inside, like a kid trying to get a different response out of a parent. Unfortunately for him we're both very much on the same page and persisted that we wanted it under the tent. Annoyed, and well aware that it was a cooler night, he made absolutely no effort to bring out any type of heaters for the guests. When we booked the Grain House, we were told if the weather was nice there would be seasonal beverages offered to guests while they waited for the ceremony. After being annoyed that we were going under the tent, nothing at all was provided for the guests.The waitstaff on the other hand was absolutely 10/10 and was super attentive! We received SO many compliments on the quality and amount of food so compliments to them and the chef! The only ding on the food was one of the stations for cocktail hour that we added and paid extra for said that it came with sangria which ended up not being served.The front desk at the hotel was a mess, they were telling guests that rooms weren't booked when in fact they were. Most of the wedding party was booked in the same section of the hotel, except for the man of honor who was booked on the complete opposite side of the hotel. The maître d' from another wedding LET HIMSELF IN to our suite the night before our wedding while we were in there and getting ready to turn in for the night.Overall, we were not disappointed that we had our wedding here, it was a wonderful day; but I would be very skeptical to recommend this venue to others to have a small wedding.

The BEST day/night of our lives! Our wedding on 9/1/23 at the Grain House @ The Olde Mill Inn was perfect! Our maitre'd John was amazing! The booking process was so easy and smooth. The Grain House is a short walk across the parking lot from the hotel and it was very convenient for all the guests we had staying the night. Everyone at the venue is very responsive to all messages throughtout the whole process. The food for the rehearsal dinner and wedding night was delicious! After the ceremony one of the waitresses made sure we went into the reception space to eat some food and have time alone together before going up to cocktail hour. We always had a drink waiting for us at our table as well! The bridal suites are absolutely stunning and so spacious to get ready in. This also was the only venue we looked at, and instantly fell in love. Thank you to everyone involved for making our day so special! We cannot wait to come back for our anniversary!

The loveliest venue for the best day!! I always knew that when I got married, I wanted a very specific 'family reunion' feeling for my wedding: I wanted the hotel and ballroom in the same location so guests could check in, get ready, celebrate with us, go back to their rooms, and have breakfast the next day all in one place, all together. There are surprisingly not that many venues in NJ to offer these type of accommodations, and I found recommendations for the Olde Mill Inn quickly when researching venues with hotel rooms attached. We went to tour and fell in love with the feeling we got there: the OMI is quaint, charming, and warm. The staff: Lea, our booking coordinator, and Reda, our maitre'd, were extremely responsive to every question and request we had throughout the entire planning process. We met with Reda a few months before our big day and really appreciated his concern and attentiveness to the food allergies and restrictions of some of our guests, something that was extremely important to us. On the day of our wedding, he was so attentive and made sure we were never without food or a drink. Even though we had plenty to eat during our cocktail hour thanks to him, he made sure to wrap extra food up for us to enjoy in our honeymoon suite that night after the party was over. So many of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was and what a great experience they had. Our wedding was absolutely perfect, and I can't imagine having had it anywhere else! The Olde Mill Inn gave us the exact feeling we wanted for our wedding day: a place where family and friends could be together and feel surrounded by warmth and love!

We are SO grateful and appreciative of all the hard work our Maitre D', John, and the team at the Olde Mill Inn put into our wedding on 7/21/23. This was one of very few venues in NJ that had the hotel attached to the reception venue in one location which was great for us as we had a lot of family and friends coming in from out of town. Having the ease of this made the entire day of the wedding flow smoothly which it took a huge weight off our shoulders. The wait staff at the venue were so hospitable and genuinely kind that we chose this venue after attending another wedding here a year prior! Our guests raved about the food and beverages at the venue, which says a lot as we had nearly 200 guests to take care of. We can't wait to come back to this venue as guests again in the future!

Our wedding here was completely perfect. It's such a beautiful location, the accommodations were very comfortable, and everything day of felt so special. David was our Maitre D and he honestly couldn't have been better. He took care of everything, including even sending me a special iced coffee while I was getting ready. All of our guests kept telling us how great the food was, even months later. It really was delicious! The peace of mind with having David on top of everything and so much included with the venue made the whole planning experience so smooth and minimally stressful. I strongly recommend the Olde Mill Inn!

There are no words to describe how wonderful they were to work with throughout the entire process. When researching venues, it was important to us to find somewhere that was able to accommodate smaller weddings, while also having the aesthetic we wanted. The Grain House was SUCH an incredible find! We love historic charm, so the fact that this restaurant/venue was from colonial times was the best touch. It’s of course restored, but when you’re inside you still get that historic charm and feel that we fell in love with. Another major bonus is that the hotel is ON SITE!!! The fact that all of our guests who wanted to stay overnight only had to walk 50 feet to the hotel was such an incredible bonus! Highly recommend looking into a venue with on-site accommodations, everyone really appreciated that. We would recommend The Grain House/OMI a billion times over! David the Maitre'D was absolutely phenomenal -- so attentive and was there to answer any question we had! 10000/10!

We loved our wedding at the Grain House! Everything was perfectly set up from beginning to end -- John, our Maitre D, was organized and helpful at every step. They clearly do a lot of weddings here, and that was an advantage as all we had to do was show up and celebrate! I would not hesitate to recommend the Grain House. The price was reasonable and we felt taken care of even with a smaller wedding plan and head count.

We got married at the Olde Mill Inn this past weekend. All we can say is WOW. We haven't been to a wedding before where so many guests were complimenting the wedding during the actual wedding. David was our Maitre d' and he made the day run smoothly and was a great communicator. He helped throughout the whole process - from planning to the rehearsal to the wedding day. He made everything so easy. He was always checking in/answering our questions right away. We are still getting rave reviews from guests--everything from the food to the cocktails to how everything flowed. It's also very accessible--guests can book a room to stay overnight right at the venue which is a unique feature. Our guests appreciated how easy everything was for them. We had fewer guests than originally expected but they set up the ballroom in a way that made it feel like we had double the amount of people. If you want to have a wedding that feels special and personalized definitely get married at the Olde Mill Inn. It's not like a typical wedding factory where they move you in and out. They make you feel really special and make it an event to remember. Multiple family members and friends have told me we'll be talking about our wedding for years to come.

The Olde Mill Inn was the PERFECT wedding venue for us! It is a cozy space and has everything you need for a seamless wedding. We worked closely with Lindsay, who gave us the first tour of the entire venue and helped us book our contract. She was incredibly kind and was always there to answer any and all questions that we had. Closer to the wedding day, we worked with our Maître D, David, who was outstanding! David took the time to go over every single detail of our wedding day and made sure that the day ran smoothly and that all of our ideas came to life. Not only was he extremely helpful to my husband and I, but he also made sure that all of our family, friends and wedding vendors were happy and comfortable throughout the day. He was so patient with us and we truly appreciate all of his guidance and expertise. If you’re looking for a wedding venue that is cozy, has DELICIOUS food and wonderful staff members: this is the place for you!

The Olde Mill Inn left us completely amazed and satisfied with EVERY aspect of the entire process and our entire wedding weekend. One of the things I loved about them is that many venues in NJ require guest minimums and the OMI was one of the only venues that has an F&B minimum (varies depending on season and day of week) -- but you are never having to guarantee a number - you can just actually get more food/alcohol and add ons to make up for it if you are short. We did have a Sat night wedding in April and met the minimum with 150 guests. The venue itself is gorgeous when it is set up - so don't judge it on the bare bones that you see when you visit - look at pictures of it set up and its quaint, romantic and intimate. Definitely go to the tasting - it helped us make some important choices. I am 100% italian as is most of my family. We are VERY critical of food and everyone remarked about the food and how great it was - the cocktail hour offers so much variety and the entrees are delicious. The mini dessert plate was also a huge hit. But what truly is the shining star with the OMI is the personal touch of every single member of the staff. Lindsay, our first contact was incredible and helpful at getting us set up with our date and initial details. Our maitre d David was OUTSTANDING --- he is super hands on, responsive and provides a level of service that is truly remarkable. I also had an amazing wedding planner but David was key in making the venue-related execution pieces happen. He is great at corralling people and creating a friendly atmosphere. The staff -- every single person we interacted with from servers to the front desk to maintenance was helpful, kind, gracious and responsive. If you are a person like me who cares a lot about the comfort of your guests - I cannot say enough about how much easier it is to have lodging with the venue...especially for kids and older people. You save money on transportation and shuttles and its just such a convenience for guests. The Olde Mill Inn provided us the support, quality and service to have the wedding of our dreams and we can't say enough about it!

Lea welcomed us and fully explained everything that would be included and available dates and made the process so simple. She walked us through and kept in touch with us and introduced us to our Maitre d' (David). David was a dream to work with, he kept in close contact all the way until our wedding day. he went above and beyond, especially on the actual wedding day. He made our experience extraordinary and took care of our parents and grandparents throughout the whole night including us. He made our wedding day a dream!! I will forever be grateful to Lea,. When we began looking at venues, it was challenging to find a place where everything could be in one place. Once we saw the Olde Mill Inn, we knew we found our place. Everyone from the front desk staff to the restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. They have such a great system for hosting events and everything ran so smoothly throughout the whole night. The food was amazing and provided guests with so many options. The Olde Mill Inn is clean and inviting and these are two things we were really drawn to. We had the best wedding weekend beginning with our rehearsal dinner at the Grain House and ending with a great breakfast for everyone to get together one more time. We truly loved the Olde Mill Inn and look forward to another stay in the future.

We were pleased with the courtesy, professionalism, and care the staff displayed to us and our guests over the two days of our stay. If anything could’ve been done differently it would be our guests receiving a little more guidance and direction where to go upon arriving at the venue. Unfortunately, our guests saw the brides first look with her father. With that being said our maitre d David was everything we could’ve asked for. First, I will mention my grandmother passed the day before the wedding. When we arrived on property the first thing David did was extend his condolences for my loss. Even though David had a wedding to coordinate he was able to pause and inquire on my well being, I was touched by the gesture. Next, David constantly made himself available to address any of our questions in a timely fashion. He was patient with us and his professionalism is the kind that others should aspire to meet. I’m grateful for the staffs effort to make our day special.

We fell in love with the Olde Mill Inn the second we toured it. Our wedding day was nothing less than what we imagined. From the rehearsal dinner to the late night pizza after the reception, Mariene was hands down the best Maitre'd I could have asked for. She was attentive to my vision, accommodating to my requests, and made sure we were feeling good throughout the whole process! The reception ballroom was perfect for our vision of romantic and elegant and the courtyard was the perfect scenery for our outdoor wedding with the natural ambiance and space for 204 ceremony chairs!

There aren't enough words to describe how much we loved our entire wedding weekend at the Olde Mill Inn and our maitre d', John Lietz, but I'll try. We did our rehearsal dinner at the Grain House, the wedding ceremony and reception in the Washington Ballroom in the inn, along with the farewell brunch the following morning with most of our traveling and local guests staying on site. We received so many compliments on the whole event, but the most common compliment by far was the quality and variety of food we offered for each event, especially the cocktail hour after our ceremony. And my husband and I actually got to enjoy our food while mingling with guests thanks to John's regular presence with a full and yet completely different plate of offerings of both stationed and passed appetizers throughout the cocktail hour. I was actually full by the time we sat down for our entrees, and anything we didn't finish during the reception was waiting for us in our suite, tasting that much better at the end of a long, wonderful night. Because most of our guests weren't local, we loved the ability to provide an entire weekend of hospitality in one location and we heard again and again how much our guests enjoyed their stay. For my husband and me, having two comfortable, well appointed, private locations to get ready with our respective attendants and finishing the night with our closest friends in our large suite were the perfect bookends to our perfect wedding. For the area, it's also one of the best price/value relationships I think you can get, whether you're looking for a simpler, more budget minded wedding or something more extravagant, ours was somewhere in the middle. Literally everything went as planned without any help from myself or my husband on the day, all thanks to John and the wonderful staff. If you're considering the Olde Mill Inn, do it!

The Olde Mill Inn team is very professional and organized; we especially appreciated the support and enthusiasm from David, our Maitre D. We chose the Olde Mill Inn and Grain House not only because it is an absolutely charming venue with a great reputation for weddings, but most importantly because the wedding package is very comprehensive, with most of the major to-do's (venue, food & drink, vendor recommendations, etc.) were included. They were also very flexible when it came to bringing our own customized decorations. Our only critical comments are that our bridesmaids complained that at one point, their bouquets were taken from them and never returned (they were unable to find them), and that we felt a bit rushed to leave towards the end of the afterparty.Overall, it was a fantastic wedding. Thanks again especially to David!

My husband and I got married at The Olde Mill Inn before Christmas and it was absolutely magical. The venue was decorated beautifully, we didn’t even need to bring our own decorations. David, our Maitre d, was exceptional. He was on top of everything, we didn’t have a single worry that day. The staff set everything up for us before the reception and cleaned up afterward. Everything was packed up and placed in our hotel room after the ceremony. It couldn’t have been more perfect, I would recommend to everyone.

We had our wedding here earlier this year, and it was the best venue we could have picked. All the staff we communicated with throughout the touring, booking, and planning stages were so helpful and friendly. You could definitely tell this is a family-run business based on the care we received compared to other venues we looked at. The courtyard was beautiful for first look and cocktail hour pictures, and we loved having an option to go outside throughout the night. Having rooms directly on the premises was perfect and convenient for our older guests (and our rowdy guests) to make sure they could enjoy the celebration and go back to their rooms at any time without needing a ride. There was another wedding that night, but the weddings were so separate, you had no idea until we both met at the Grain House bar later that night! The bar was a great way to end the night with all of our friends that we didn't get to see during the reception. I also can't finish this review without saying how great John was the entire day and months leading up to our wedding. John had a lot more energy than us, but he was on top of absolutely everything throughout the day and made sure we were taken care of. He made sure we and our families ate and drank throughout the night, made sure everything was arranged as we had requested, and had such a great attitude! Lastly, the Olde Mill Inn made sure we had plenty of food throughout the whole night. Our guests had a great time, and we couldn't be happier!

My husband and I got married at the Grain House @ The Olde Mill Inn. It was the most beautiful day ever. Our sales coordinator, Kate, was so so helpful and really sold us on the venue. From the time we secured our date in June 2021 to our wedding date in November 2022, we had incredibly great interactions with the entire staff. Just prior to the wedding we were told our maitre d was David. David is INCREDIBLE. He walked us through the venue about 1 month prior to the wedding and we felt at ease knowing he had our backs and knew exactly what he was doing. On the wedding day itself he really helped usher along the event. He brought us water on the dance floor and made sure we were doing well all evening. He brought us to the dining room a few minutes prior to the guests coming down from cocktail hour to just soak it in and actually eat some of the cocktail hour food. The food was PERFECT. My family is so so picky and they all raved about it. All in all, David truly made us feel like royalty. I will say, we were very lucky for no rain and a 78 degree November day so we had our dance floor outside and it was wonderful. I think if we were to go through the whole experience again, in the Grain House, I would probably recommend warmer months for a wedding because if it was 50 degrees, we probably would've been uncomfortable. The wedding night suite is also AMAZING. What a luxury, I wish we could have spent more time there. Overall, we highly highly recommend the Olde Mill Inn and we've had several people approach us that the staff was incredible compared to other venues. You will not regret your choice!

Absolutely wonderful staff, setting and banquet hall. We had our wedding at the hotel in the court yard which was perfect. We chose this place because of the location, wonderful rustic yet elegant decorating and themes. The banquet hall was perfect for our wedding. David was our Maitre’D and he nailed it! Kate and Teresa were our sales/contact persons for the many months leading up to the day and they were wonderful getting back to us with all the questions and information needed in such a quick manner. The staff was absolutely wonderful and so friendly and kind. I even invited them on the dance floor toward the end of the night but they kept it professional lol. I can’t thank you all enough for making my Wife, Family and Friends so happy for our exciting day.

Thank you to our sales coordinator, Kate, and our incredible maitre d, Reda, for helping make our wedding the best night of our entire life. My husband and I picked The Grain House in March 2021 for our wedding that just happened on October 28, 2022. It was the first venue we looked at and immediately decided it was perfect. They made you feel like they cared about you personally and weren’t just trying to book an event. They were helpful every step of the way for a process that originally felt incredibly daunting. The night of was amazing, I could not have asked for a better experience. Reda made sure everything ran smoothly and at no point did I feel stressed, rushed or confused. The wait staff made sure my husband and I always had something to eat or drink and Reda handled everything behind the scenes which let us just have FUN! I really cannot say enough good things. Thank you so much to The Grain House, Olde Mill Inn, Kate, Reda and every person that made our wedding the most special night.

Our daughter worked locally with Reda and my wife long distance. Mother Nature certainly helped with the outdoor ceremony.

We just recently had our wedding at the Olde Mill Inn on 10/27/22, and I don’t even know where to begin about how absolutely amazing it all was. This was the only venue we looked at and I’m so glad that we did, because we just knew that there was no other option for us; The Olde Mill Inn had it all. Originally we were planning for a small, micro-wedding/elopement, but when we decided to change it all over to a big celebration, the Olde Mill Inn was more than accommodating and helped us re-plan the entire thing. Every step of the way was a pleasant experience and left us feeling satisfied. We had Kate and Theresa as our sale managers and they were both so great and amazing! John was our maitre D’ and was wonderful from the get go. I’ve heard numerous stories about something always going wrong at weddings, but that was never the case with the Olde Mill Inn. There was nothing that “went wrong” or created an inconvenience at all. The Olde Mill Inn made everything stress-free and the day went off without a hitch. In fact, our wedding day was quite chill and relaxed and I attribute that all to the Olde Mill Inn and their staff. All of our guests were completely amazed at the venue and staff, I got nothing but compliments about what a great venue it was - from the scenery, to the food, to the hotel rooms, and the service. The Olde Mill Inn holds such a special place in our hearts. We’re already planning on going back to eat at The Grain House and spend special nights at the Olde Mill Inn; we can’t wait to go back as soon as we can. I can't recommend The Olde Mill Inn enough!

My husband and I got married in the Grain House and it could not have been more perfect. The atmosphere was so cozy, warm, and inviting. It was a dream! Our maitre'd David was absolutely amazing; he made our night flawless and kept everyone so happy. We are still in awe of that night and we highly recommend Olde Mill Inn to anyone! Hotel is right on premise so there is no shuttle needed and its convenience mixed in with beauty. The Grain House now features a picture wall that our guests loved and used. The fireplaces within the Grain House added a touch of romantic flair and the decor was just what we wanted. Even the after party at the bar within the restaurant was awesome, our bartender was funny and served everyone with ease. Our suite at the hotel was so lovely. We didn't worry once during this day and it is all thanks to David and the staff at the Olde Mill Inn.

We got married at the Grain House on 10/1/2022 and had a fantastic experience! Our Maitre D' John Lietz and our sales managers Lindsay and Teresa were really supportive and on top of everything. John was detail-oriented and professional and coordinated all of the vendors really well. He went above and beyond and responded to us on his day off. The venue is beautiful, and the food was amazing. There are a lot of options for food, and they are all great. John and the venue were really flexible and accommodating in moving our ceremony under the beautiful tent adjacent to the Grain House due to the rain from Hurricane Ian; the sides were open, so we still felt like we were outside and got to enjoy the gorgeous scenery and fairytale-like twinkly lights. Our guests had a great time and are still raving about the experience, including the special venue and the delicious food. Having the Olde Mill Inn (which is spectacular, by the way) on site really helped accommodate our guests, as most people were travelling from far away. The location of the venue is convenient, a perfect distance from route 287 and in sweet Basking Ridge.

Guests are still raving about the food (the mashed potato bar was a huge hit), and our Maitre D, Reda A., was absolutely fantastic. He made sure we were comfortable and happy throughout the entire process! Definitely do the dance floor out under the tent if weather permits! The bridal suite in the hotel was huge and perfect for getting ready that morning.

Olde Mill was our second venue tour and immediately became our top pick! It had both the historical charm look (but with modern upgraded facilities) and garden elements that we wanted. Better yet, it was reasonably priced and we were so pleased accommodations and the reception would be in the same location. John, our maitre'd, was absolutely great! He kept a calm, friendly, professional demeanor throughout the whole process, not even batting an eye with the last minute details. He saved my bouquet (after I left it on a windowsill and didn't remember about it until an hour later) and his team took my basic decor idea and made the ballroom into a magical soft-lit summer garden scene!

Could not have asked for a better wedding day!!! We had our ceremony and reception at the Olde Mill Inn in May 2022 with ~120 guests. We visited the OMI in November 2020, and instantly felt like it gave the cozy yet elegant vibes that we were looking for. We loved that the hotel rooms were on-site, which was important to us because we expected the majority of our guests to be from out of town. We also loved that the venue would make things easy by having an in-house food vendor and 'all-inclusive' feel. As the planning continued, we had a lot of unique requests, given that we were planning from out of state and had work schedules that did not always accommodate visiting in-person. Kate made us feel supported and was always quick to respond to emails or phone calls. As the months got closer to our wedding date, Kate and newly assigned our maitre d', David, accommodated our food tasting to fit our schedule. David walked us through how the day would look and answered our never-ending list of questions. On the day of the wedding (and weeks leading up to it), David was absolutely incredible. He handled more than he should have had to - including late night pizza delivery and last minute changes to dietary requests. He snuck my husband and I down from the suite to the ceremony, so we wouldn't see guests. He showed us the ballroom set-up before the guests to make sure it was aligned with our expectations - it fully exceeded expectations. David brought us food and drinks throughout the night - I might be the only Bride that can say I was never hungry or looking for a drink at my wedding!! Our guests raved about the food and drinks, and the servers were on-top of everything. Our parents both loved how David made the whole family feel important. I can confidently say that our wedding day would not have went smoothly, if David wasn't there executing our dream wedding plans. My husband and I could not have asked for a better way to celebrate our marriage. We can't thank Kate, David, and all the OMI staff enough for being flexible, supportive, and absolutely perfect.

Best day of our lives. We truly can't say enough good things about the Olde Mill.If you're lucky enough to work with Lindsay (sales) or David (maitre d'), you are in the best of hands. Both were excellent at communication, responding to emails and calls right away, and took care of every last detail. Planning was a breeze and on the day of, David made sure that not a thing was out of place. The ballroom looked stunning, all of our personal items were set up exactly as we'd hoped, and on our 100 degree wedding day, David was somehow everywhere we needed with an ice cold water. The little things made us feel really special too - David brought us and our parents special plates of the cocktail hour food (since we were so busy talking with our guests), and even had food waiting for us in our hotel room for after the reception, (as we were having too much fun to eat our dinners)!Speaking of - the food was delicious. We received so many compliments from guests and the staff were so friendly and attentive. In terms of the venue, the whole place is beautiful and we LOVED having accommodations for our guests right there with no need for transportation. It also worked out great for guests to grab continental breakfast the next morning too.We are not people who usually write reviews, but we would not have changed a single thing about out wedding day and can't recommend the Olde Mill Inn enough. Bonus - we had our rehearsal dinner at the Grain House, which was also perfect. Wishing we could hit repeat on the whole weekend!

The Olde Mill Inn Grain House was a dream wedding come true. Everything about this place was perfect for my wife and I. It is charming, beautiful, rustic, and feels so right for people hoping for a gorgeous intimate wedding. From the gazebo, to the beautiful stream out back, it is delightfully peaceful and will have you in awe of its inherent beauty. In addition to all of that, the service was tremendous! David was our Maitre’d and he made sure everything ran smoothly, and took care of us as well as our guests. Nothing was out of place with that man. The staff as well were splendid. Never a moment where you’ll feel unattended too, or like something is missing. The suite we stayed in (Dayton suite) was so comfortable and cozy as well. You will not regret calling this venue your wedding home . It was the perfect place for us.

My wedding was at the grainhouse hunt room 6/26/22 and I have to say 5 stars doesn’t even begin to cover it. I am not exaggerating when I say it was the most perfect and beautiful day of my life. Everything was beyond what I expected it to be. The food was amazing the staff was amazing the venue was everything I wanted and expected it would be and more. I had a gorgeous garden wedding followed by my reception which was both indoors and outdoors ( with the dance floor ). I wish I could relive it over and over. It was such a great time all of my guests could not stop talking about how it was such a beautiful moment and they were beyond impressed with how attentive the wait staff was. The drinks were so good my guests had so much wonderful food that three weeks later my family is still commenting and reliving the memories. And how could I forget wonderful David our maitre d. David saved the day when my wonderful husband forgot his shirt lol I truly could not have pictured my vision and dream coming to life anywhere but this wonderful venue. If you are looking for a romantic perfect intimate wedding this is the place for you!!! Also every unmarried couple started saying how emotional and happy they were at the way everything turned out that they’ve been inspired to start their wedding planning because it was truly a great family moment with the best attentions at the grain house. OMI is hands down the best venue! Our guests were raving about not only how great the food was, but how much food there was! Not to mention, OMI's pricing is actually reasonable compared to other venues in North Jersey. We had our reception in the Washington Ballroom and it was stunning. Our maître' D, David was amazing and checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. They brought up some of the cocktail hour food to our room for us while we took a quick break after pictures. I would recommend OMI to any couple. We had the absolute best time!

We had the best experience at OMI!! The staff are total pros and made the day really effortless. They’ve clearly been doing this for forever and they know what makes a wedding day run smoothly. Our Matre D, Dave, was fabulous. The space is beautiful, the Grain House was a perfect size for our ~100 person guest list and it was so nice having the hotel right there for our guests- it stretched the wedding out to a whole weekend so we didn’t feel like it all went by too fast. I really feel like we got a bang for our buck here- other venues were more expensive for less substance. If I could plan my wedding all over again, I would pick OMI every time.

We ended up pushing it to 2022 due to the pandemic, and throughout the entire process the OMI representatives could not have been more understanding, helpful, and reassuring. This would have been wonderful enough, but the aid they provided on the day of our wedding was immeasurable. Our coordinator Reda was attentive and pro-active, and his steady hand helped smooth over every obstacle.

I can’t say enough good things about Olde Mill Inn! This venue is perfect if you’re looking to have your ceremony, reception and hotel accommodations in one place. Lindsay was our coordinator and the day went absolutely perfectly! Before the wedding day, planning was easy and thorough. The day of, Lindsay was readily available any time I had a question and she made sure that my bridal party and I had everything we needed wherever we were. I had a ton of decor and the team did a fabulous job of setting it up just the way I wanted it. The reception space looked even better than I could have imagined and the food was excellent! The staff was so professional and every made sure everything was packed and secure in our overnight suite. I highly recommend this venue!

The indoor and outdoor space is beautiful and we got so many compliments on all the food! Our guests also loved the rooms being right on site. The Olde Mill Inn really takes care of everything. My husband and I were looking for a convenient, all-in-one venue that kept our family and friends comfortable and happy, and they delivered in spades! Everyone we worked with knew exactly what they were doing and helped guide us through moments of confusion. But while they’ve clearly done this before, we didn’t feel like we were forced into a one-size-fits-all solution - they were very accommodating of our quirks and preferences, including swapping craft beers onto the menu! We’d particularly recommend our maitre’d, John, who took care of everything day-of, not only overall logistics but also keeping us fed and watered and making sure our ceremony ran smoothly. Friends told us that our wedding ran like clockwork and John deserves the lion’s share of the credit. We’d highly recommend the Olde Mill Inn to couples who don’t want to stress about planning and just want to enjoy a wonderful wedding day.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about my experience with the Olde Mill Inn. I had my wedding on 5/20/2022 at the Grain House at the Olde Mill Inn. From the very first contact, I was amazed and impressed with how responsive and personable their sales team were. I never had to wait for information and everything was clear and detailed. The packages they offer are not only amazing, but a superb value. As the wedding drew nearer we were introduced to our maitre'd, who, in short, was a wonder. I honestly do not know how he organized and arranged everything that he did. He answered my myriad of questions in a prompt and clear manner. The venue itself is stunning and I loved that accommodations were on site. As someone with dietary issues I am so grateful for how my needs were met and never felt like a burden. If I could give more than 5 stars in every area I would. If a low stress, high value wedding at a gorgeous location with superb food and service is what you are searching for, then the Olde Mill Inn/Grain House is a stellar choice.

The entire day ran so smoothly- from getting a beautiful February day where everything was moved outside last minute, to adjusting time slightly due to an accident on the highway to ensure the guests were able to make it before we started, to ensuring we were fed and constantly had a drink, whether it be the signature cocktail or water. Everything about the Olde Mill Inn was perfect from start to finish. Each member of the OMI team was a pleasure to work with. We worked with Lindsey who was so helpful and responsive with answering all our questions after we booked. She also made our COVID postponement seamless. Our maitre'd was David and he was AMAZING! After meeting with him about 6 weeks before our wedding all of my worries instantly disappeared -- he is so organized and professional, and took care of every last detail. All of the hotel staff were incredibly nice as well - numerous guests reached out to me after booking their hotel stay just to tell me how nice the front desk staff was. Our wedding day wound up being unexpectedly chaotic. Due to a thunderstorm in the morning the entire town lost power and I wound up losing electricity in the middle of having my hair done! David and his team did everything in their power (no pun intended) to remedy our situation and make us as comfortable as possible. They were calm, collected and professional throughout, making me feel like it would all be ok even without any electricity. Fortunately the electricity returned mid-ceremony and everything after that was PERFECT. Food and drinks were great, and we received many compliments from guests on the food. Staff was very attentive to my husband and I, making sure we got plates of everything from cocktail hour, each of the entrees, and were never without a drink in our hands. I could not recommend the Olde Mill Inn more.

We had our wedding at The Olde Mill Inn in late January and loved our entire weekend!! We fell in love with their courtyard and knew that it was the perfect spot for our ceremony (even in January). We transformed the courtyard to a beautiful winter wonderland with snow, candles and the fireplace ambiance - it was exactly what we had imagined. We also loved that everything could be done in one place including lodging. Our guests loved making a long weekend out of it and wandering around the hotel before and after the wedding. The after party at the Grain House was a huge hit -- amazing ambiance there too. It was a perfect winter wedding in both locations!! We worked closely with Lindsay and John who were amazing but seriously every staff member was. They all went above and beyond the weekend of our wedding and leading up to it. Highly recommend this wedding venue!

We can't praise the beautiful and PERFECT Olde Mill Inn enough! We got married on April 23rd, 2022. From the moment we met with Lea we fell in love with the rustic and charming venue!! She was so attentive, kind and answered every question. We would randomly have a question and she always replied promptly via email. David was our Maitre'D. He payed so much attention to detail that he came up with ideas that we did not even think of. He was always available to answer our questions via text. David made sure that our magical day ran smoothly and without any hiccups. The staff and atmosphere was absolutely amazing! We were so blown away by the kindness of David and everyone in the staff and how they made sure our families were well taken care of. David paid so much attention to our ideas and made sure we got exactly what we wanted. We had a lot of DIY decorations and we did not even have to worry about setting it up. David and the staff decorated everything for us and my wife and I were completely in awe when we walked in! It literally took our breath away! He even went out of his way to buy what we needed for signature drinks! He even let us use a lot of their signs and they added beautiful votives and touches that really added to the beauty of it all. We were SO VERY HAPPY! During our perfect day David made sure that we had plates of food to eat, especially during the cocktail hour when we were mingling with our guests. Throughout the day he made sure that we were happy. Up until the start of our ceremony he eased and calmed our nerves and it all went so smoothly. David was so professional, patient and kind hearted! He was such a wonderful addition to our wedding day! The food was absolutely AMAZING, our guests can’t stop raving about how delicious it all was. Everyone also keeps talking about how absolutely gorgeous it all was including the fun pizza favors!! (DEFINITELY DO THAT). SHOUT OUT to Gloria for constantly asking us if we needed any refills. She also helped button up my wife’s dress bustle. We really wish we could go back and relive it. It was such a MAGICAL AND BEAUTIFUL DAY! WE can’t wait to get back all of our pictures to help us keep reliving our day!!

My husband and I had our wedding (reception only) at the Olde Mill Inn ballroom on November 7, 2021. The cocktail hour and reception went so smoothly and was so beautiful! The staff was easy to work with from the very beginning in terms of choosing a date, packages, and coordinating services with our other vendors. Our guests raved about the food from cocktail hour through dessert. The venue space is just the right combination of elegance with rustic that made it feel so cozy and perfect for a fall wedding. We stayed at the inn on our wedding night and the rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable just like the venue space; we were even upgraded to the suite as a nice surprise! We are so glad to see that David has so many rave reviews here already because he truly deserves it. He was always available for any questions through his cell phone, weather text or call. David was so flexible, organized, responsive, and reassuring the whole way through. He made sure we always had whatever we needed at our table throughout the reception, but never in a hovering or bothersome way. Your maître d’ can have a huge impact on your comfort and peace of mind leading up to and during your wedding day, and David absolutely made sure everything was perfect for us and our guests. We cannot thank Olde Mill Inn enough for our beautiful day, and we whole-heartedly recommend Olde Mill Inn for engaged couples!

We absolutely loved our big day at the Grain House! From the very beginning, Kate was responsive and transparent throughout the entire planning process. She answered all of our questions promptly until our amazing Maitre'd, John, took over and rocked it! We booked our wedding July 2021 for NYE 2021 at the Grain house. Final quest count was 90 but due to COVID cases spiking we had some last-minute cancellations, so it was around 70 guests (75-person minimum but we upgraded the open bar so no issue) The venue itself is very rustic and gorgeous, it's a very private space with an outside section that's walking distance from the Inn. Everything you can want is onsite, so easy for guests, no transportation required. Every single person raved about the food, simply amazing! We also had our rehearsal dinner there and I held my bridal brunch there as well, the food did not disappoint each and every time. A must see for an intimate wedding, especially around the colder months since their decor is gorgeous around that time of year!

My husband and I had our wedding at the Olde Mill Inn on 12/4/21 (postponed from 12/5/20) in the ballroom and our day could not have been more perfect. It was absolutely magical. We are SO grateful we worked with the OMI - they were so easy to work with for postponing and we heard so many nightmares from other couples who were at other venues. During an already stressful time planning a wedding and then a pandemic - all the staff at the Olde mill inn were so helpful. David was our maître d’ and we were so lucky to work with him! David is incredibly organized, responsive, kind, and grounding. He provided his cell number and encouraged us to call or text with any questions or concerns about 7 weeks before the wedding and always quickly answered any questions and accommodated every request ! Everything ran so smoothly and perfect! It was so reassuring to have him near by making sure everything was in place and it was! He truly went above and beyond to make sure my husband and I, our families, and our bridal party had literally anything they needed whether it was another drink, changing the temperature in the room, or just encouraging us to sit back and enjoy our day and that all is handled. All our of guests absolutely raved over the Olde Mill Inn, the food, the rooms, and the Christmas decorations! The Christmas decorations are absolutely stunning - they’re so elegant and homey. A number of guest told us they loved it so much they plan to go back to the OMI every winter. Another few said they would be recommending OMI for other engaged couples they know ! We haven’t stopped getting compliments about how wonderful the inn and the wedding have been since - I didn’t want to leave and I can’t wait to go back for every anniversary! We so highly recommend this venue and David - we can’t thank them enough !!

The Olde Mill Inn was the perfect venue for us during COVID. While our friends had issues rescheduling their weddings when the world shut down, OMI let us reschedule early and made sure we were still able to have a Saturday wedding in the same month we had originally wanted. While we originally booked with Marien, Kate took over early in COVID and was very communicative with us throughout the process, offering to speak on the phone and explain things as things developed. As NY residents, we were not always aware of NJ's COVID regulations. Kate kept us updated with what party sizes were allowed, passed hors d'oeuvres rules, dance floors, etc. Thankfully, we were able to have a full-capacity wedding with passed hors d'oeuvres, and a dance floor in October 2021! Our maitre'd was David. He made sure everybody was where they needed to be, made sure everything was set-up exactly how we wanted it, and helped make sure our signature cocktails came out perfectly. He also got plates full of all the passed hors d'oeuvres for us and put them on the sweetheart table, so we didn't miss out on any food. I wish the waitstaff did not take away the food from the sweetheart table so quickly, though, or I wish I had thought to request a to-go box! On occasion, we could not find David when we needed him, but that didn't cause too much of an issue. One of my favorite things about the OMI for our venue was that the hotel was attached, which made it easy for us and our guests. However, the housekeeping staff threw out garment bags and shoe boxes when they freshened the bridal party rooms on the day of the wedding which was not ideal. The dance floor was a little tight, but not unusable. Overall, though, our wedding was perfect, the food was fantastic, and the venue was very, very accommodating.

Our guests have raved about the food and the Christmas atmosphere was the cherry on the top. We loved that this venue was a one stop shop venue, the hotel was clean and super convenient for our guests to go back to their room after a night of dancing. My husband and I got married at the Grain House on 10/15/21 - postponed from our original date of 10/16/20. The entire process of postponing the wedding was very easy and Lindsay/Kate were awesome to work with and sooo understanding. I heard so many horror stories from my friends who were also in the same boat with postponing and was so glad that was not me. When it came to the day of the wedding, I have some mixed feelings about how the day went (which I have already communicated to Lindsay and hopefully they take my feedback into account going forward). My wedding day was truly amazing since we finally got to have our day together but there were a few things they could have done better.Pros - the entire process up to the wedding was great, communication was so easy - I could email a question and I would have a response within a day or so. On the day itself, my florist forgot to bring the flowers for the cake so she had to improvise with the maitre d (Kirshis) and they completely took care of it - the cake looked beautiful. My centerpieces were not fresh flowers and sort of DIY (they weren't completely together where you just placed it on the table, there were a few components that needed to be placed on the table in a certain way) and Kirshis executed the centerpieces flawlessly. We used lanterns for the ceremony aisle and then she moved them all to the reception for us. The OMI also has a lot of decor in their stock which was so great that I didn't have to spend money on certain things like the unplugged ceremony sign, easels, and the giant lanterns and candle votives that they used to help add extra decor to the room to make it look special. At the end of the night, everything was packed up for us and brought to our room so we could focus on saying our goodbyes to our guests and enjoying the last moments of the day.Cons - the passed hor'dorves for cocktail hour were a bit disappointing in that there were supposed to be 12, but the same 3-4 were constantly in rotation and I only saw some of the other things once, if at all. We took all our photos before the ceremony so we could enjoy the cocktail hour but it did not live up to our expectations. After the cocktail hour but before introductions, the OMI closed the bar so nobody could get drinks which was for at least 20 minutes. They told us this was policy as they don't want people at the bar while introductions/first dances are happening, but some of our guests were annoyed about this and we did not realize it would be closed for so long. During the reception, the one vegan guest had to send back her food because they gave her a vegetarian meal that had cheese. I guess my advice would be to pick a veggie meal that is also vegan so this issue is avoided entirely. Lastly, we did not realize this until the day after, but our unity candle base used for the ceremony was not returned to us. We found out later it was thrown in the garbage which was just awful to hear, as it had been made for us special and we were planning on saving it for years to come and use on our dining room table as a centerpiece. The OMI apologized and compensated us for it, however that doesn't replace the fact that it was thrown out.

We were married here on 11/27/2021 and it was fantastic! My husband and I had a small wedding and it was the most beautiful day. I am still getting compliments on the food, and how beautiful the room looked. It was such a great day! Our Maitre D, David, took care of everything for us that day and made himself available throughout the whole day. He was wonderful! You cannot go wrong at the Olde Mill Inn & Grain House!

My daughter’s wedding was absolutely fabulous. Everything was perfect. Shout to John the maitr’d he is one in a million, he treated us like royalty, I’ve never been treated like that in my life. This place will make your wedding a dream come true. The food was delicious. Definitely 5 stars and John get 10 stars.

Where do you even begin when your wedding venue was absolutely perfect?? I can’t say enough good things about the Olde Mill Inn! We were originally booked for a fall 2020 wedding and had to push back a year due to COVID, which was stressful in itself, but OMI was really accommodating and flexible as the situation continued to evolve. Kate was amazing to work with through that whole process, super responsive and helpful. And when we were assigned a Maitre D (David), the professionalism and expertise just kept getting better and better!We ended up doing a late October 2021 wedding. The weather was questionable and we REALLY wanted to do an outdoor ceremony, so even though it was a bit iffy, they made it work!! Our Maitre D, David, had umbrellas ready to hand out to guests and our bridal party in case it rained, which it did just a bit, but it was actually so special and beautiful and worked out perfectly! From start to finish, our Maitre D David was AMAZING to work with. He was SO on top of things, organized, and communicative and made the day go so smoothly for us. I would be the first to admit I’m a control freak, but with David handling the details I never worried about a single thing. He was so attentive the whole night, making sure we had anything and everything we could need. We couldn’t have been in better hands and he was an absolute joy to work with. Last but not least, the atmosphere, food, and drinks of OMI are all amazing from start to finish. We wanted somewhere charming and a bit rustic, classic, and warm. OMI checked all of those boxes and compared to some other venues we looked at, they were more reasonably priced too. Our wedding day at OMI was absolutely perfect and we wouldn’t change a thing :)

Our whole experience was amazing, first starting with Kate who gave us the tour, and once we picked our date she was there via email with every question we had. David was our Maître d’ and he was the BEST!!! He made our lives so easy and was there for us no matter what hour of the day it was! He seemed to be in 2 places at once! He was able to keep my husbands groomsmen under control and that was not an easy task. If you are lucky to get David work your wedding you will have hit the jackpot!!

My husband and I were thinking about a wedding for a while and started to research venues and The Old Mill Inn Grain House always stood out to us as a great location and value. When we finally got engaged, it was one of the first places on our list. Even just talking to our sales person over email was great. They were kind, understanding, and really quick to respond and set up a meeting. We looked and considered other places but once we saw the Grain House, we were sold. The venue was lovely and a great choice for our wedding. The outdoors really made it absolutely beautiful. They had a lot of greenery that really matched our vision. Not only was it very affordable (as affordable as a wedding can be, really), the alcohol is included, the food is amazing (it was hard to choose between the chicken or beef, that’s how good their chicken was), the cocktail hour menu was inventive ( the mash-tini bar was a hit!), and the place was beautiful. The grounds didn’t need much added to them, we could play our own music for cocktail hour using their house speaker, we made two signature drinks (one non-alcoholic), and we danced the night away. All of our guests said they had a great time and the place looked great. Our pictures turned out perfect and getting ready in the rooms upstairs was easy and comfortable. Our maitre d John (included in the fee) was really helpful and sweet. I would recommend this place to anyone thinking about getting married in something a little different. It was the perfect mix of convenience due to everything being on site, looks because the place is so beautiful, value (they will let you borrow so many little things like a gift box or a cake cutting set, cake is included in the price), and they really made our planning much easier. As for the hotel, we highly recommend it. The rooms were absolutely amazing. They were spacious, clean and had a warm, relaxing feel to it. The staff was very helpful and very pleasant. We had the bridal suite and it was super impressive. It was larger than we anticipated. Most rooms had a balcony and easy access to the main hall and Grain House. Free breakfast was included. Our guests who needed a room loved it very much and they will work with you to ensure everyone would get a room. It really was worth the experience for everything.

I have been with my now wife for almost 12 years and getting married wasn't something that I was extraordinarily excited about. I would think to myself, \"it's expensive and is it really necessary?\" Well.... The short answer to that is, yes! Mainly because of the Olde Mill Inn and David, our Maitre d'. Our wedding was initially postponed by a year due to the global pandemic. The venue navigated that effortlessly and rearranged everything without any hiccups. Fast forward one year... Our wedding was in 48 hours and a hurricane came along with some historic flooding in the area. The stress level endured at the time was unreal... Especially when I got a call, that the majority of the reception area we chose was flooded and destroyed. David, swept in with his calm, collective, and graceful self to reassure us that the party will go on. We were skeptical and nervous. We arrived and everything was different, nervous that our dream wouldn't come true. David painted an image of what it would be and my wife and I remained unsure... But what choice did we have? We trusted that David would make it work. He definitely did! Beyond any reasonable doubt, he pulled off a miracle. We had such an incredible wedding!! It will be something we remember our entire lives. Everything was beautiful, the food was phenomenal, and our guests were raving. One month later, guests are still reaching out to tell us how much fun they had. So thank you to the Olde Mill Inn... And thank you David, who puts the \"d\" into Maitre d'. If you choose this location for your wedding, the likelihood of you being happy, is incredibly high. Always select a place that thrives during time of adversity.

I did not book the olde mill inn because it was just a little out of my price range and with my wedding being a microwedding, they only did them on weekdays and it posed a little bit of an obstacle for me, it was also just a little too far for me to meet vendors. I was 2 hours away. But I loved this place!!! Lindsay was great in answering all my questions. It was a really hard to decision. If some of the obstacles were a little easier. this venue would have been it!!!! I did pick another venue, but I honestly couldn't find another venue for my micro wedding closer to me that I like as much as the olde mill inn. I have to have budget though.

I could have not have booked a better venue! From September of 2019 to my wedding day in August of 2021, the OMI was the nothing shy of amazing. They answered my never ending questions and provided all the support I needed. David was an absolute superstar and made sure our day ran PERFECT. The food was so amazing and all our guests are still raving about the service, venue and food. It was the best day of our lives and I’ll recommend this beautiful venue to everyone!

I cannot begin to explain how choosing the Olde Mill Inn/ Grain House for our wedding was the best decision we ever made. We booked in March 2020, one week before the whole state shut down for Covid-19. Although we were worried at first and saw the horror stories about other venues during the early stages of the pandemic, Olde Mill Inn was extremely communicative and assured us they would do everything possible to accomodate us and make our day perfect. If it was for having them as our venue, I'm sure we would have panicked and tried to reschedule. We were lucky enough to keep our original date and got assigned an incredible Maitre D, Norm Martin, who made sure everything was perfect for us. We had a hurricane hit during our wedding day and had to do everything completely in doors in the hunt room, and while I was initially upset, they made it look so beautiful inside it didnt even matter, it ended up being the best thing for us as we got to enjoy the AC and I got to have my hair down :) We had our rehearsal dinner, lunch the day of through OMI as well as the private breakfast the following day, everything was delicious and ran smoothly. We were very impressed with the professionalism and organization on behalf of the Olde Mill Inn, no wedding is without its bumps/crazy moments throughout the day but Norm handled it all perfectly and was right there whenever we needed his help. We truly had the best weekend of our lives and Norm/ Olde Mill Inn/ Grain House event staff made sure everything was exactly how we wanted and then some. He even accomodated when my grandma needed a wheelchair two weeks before the wedding. The Grain House is a beautiful venue for an intimate reception where the bar/dancing has its own area seperate from the reception. It was awesome! It was like a rave by the bar and more relaxed in the dining space. The ability to have the rehearsal dinner, reception/ceremony and hotel all in one space was convenient and allowed for us to make our wedding day a wedding weekend. We really had the best time of our lives cannot thank Olde Mill Inn enough!

The Olde Mill Inn was absolutely amazing to work with!!! Kate is responsive and willing to create the perfect wedding package that fits all you could want. We were originally suppose to get married in July 2020. Kate allowed us to hold a date for July 2021 until we were ready to postpone. She answered questions throughout the year and kept us informed on the ever changing covid guidelines. We had John as our maitre d. He is excellent! He helped make my vision come to life and was very attentive to the small details. The venue also organizes all your decor at the end of the night and carts it back to your suite, so you can enjoy more time with your guests. I loved that the hotel is right on the premises and we had our after party at the Grain House. Our guests keep saying what a great time they had. We are so happy to have chosen this venue!* Also check out the Cross Estate Gardens near by for your photos. The place is beautiful!

We got married at the Grain House at the Olde Mill Inn on 7/18 and it was perfect. We had about 50 people. David was our Matre D and he was INCREDIBLE. Everything was so well organized and every detail was tended to. He was pleasant and super professional. He was super on the ball. The wait staff was fabulous and super attentive. I had one table of very outgoing guests (lol) and the wait staff had a blast with them. And then the food was SO good. Way better than the tasting. To be honest, I had been nervous after the tasting as I thought the food was mediocre. But then again we had our tasting during COVID and I shook it off and chalked it up to that being the issue. Day of, food was OUTSTANDING. Lots of guests raved about it. During COVID the menu changed and it threw my husband and I for a loop. We were very nervous that they weren't going to be able to uphold their end, but everything worked out once restrictions were lifted. I think what it boiled down to was that no one knew what was going on with COVID and how to navigate it. It's been unprecedented times. So once they got their bearings, things got better. It was very easy doing business with the OMI. 10/10 recommend and would use them again!

We were so pleased with our choice to have our wedding and reception at the Olde Mill Inn! We loved the courtyard area for our ceremony! All of the pictures taken out here came out amazing! Having hotels on site was a huge plus and allowed the party to continue after the reception. Guests raved about the food and venue as a whole! Everyone was so easy to work with, especially Kate & John! John was our maitre' d and exceeded our expectations! He was bending over backwards for us and our families all day/night. I cannot imagine our fairy tale wedding taking place anywhere but the Olde Mill Inn!

The Olde Mill Inn was the perfect wedding venue for us! We were looking to have a small wedding of about 50 guests and the Grain House at the Olde Mill Inn was the prefect location to accommodate all of our needs. From the beautiful Gazebo ceremony adjacent to the creek to the outdoor dance floor under the elegantly covered tent this venue had all the cozy charm to truly make our wedding beautiful. Having all the lodging accommodations on site as well made travel for our guests extremely convenient and having both the ceremony and reception on site allowed us to devote more time to making sure all our guests got to party!The staff was amazing as well! The event manager Kate was always super friendly and easy to get in touch with with all of the questions we had as well as being flexible when we had last minuet changes to head counts or requests. Our Matrie D John ran around all night the day of our wedding making sure everything ran on schedule and ensuring that we never were empty handed when it came to food and drinkOverall the experience was great, the venue was charming, the staff was extremely helpful, the food was great and the price was a great value!

We booked Olde Mill Inn in 2018 after touring nine venues. Olde Mill Inn was the total package for us—a beautiful ballroom and convenience of having our guests stay on property. We were sold by the warmth and hospitality of Marien, our sales manager. We felt at home walking around the building and talking with her about how we envisioned our day. She was so welcoming and kind to us.Our wedding was originally scheduled for July 2020 and in the spring of 2020, we were forced to postpone our wedding. It took us a few weeks to finally come to the decision and Olde Mill was always in our corner. They let us put a hold on a Saturday in 2021 while we spoke to our families and other vendors to come to our final decision to postpone. They even held our price from 2020 for our new date, which I felt like it was unheard of from many other venues at this time and they let us postpone to a Saturday which was most important to us. Marien had since been furloughed, but we were in the caring and helpful hands of Kate who always promptly answered all of our questions and put us at ease during a very stressful time for us all.Leading up to our new date, Kate continued to help us plan and keep up with the ever changing restrictions. When we met our maître d, John, a month before our wedding, I felt confident we were in good hands. Our wedding day came and went off without a hitch. The whole day as a bride was so relaxing, not rushed, and felt like everything was taken care of. John kept our fridge stocked of mimosas and even brought us hot coffee down while getting ready. My cake was late and he took care of that too. Our families, bridal party and husband and I didn’t have a thing to worry about that day and just truly enjoyed every second. Every want, need and dream was met and exceeded. The staff in the ballroom and the hotel were top notch, and made all our guests feel welcome and everyone had a blast. The food at the cocktail hour and dinner were plentiful and delicious. They handled my tree nut allergy so well, and my guests’ food allergies. It was the best day of our lives, and the convenience of having the hotel upstairs and the Grain house for breakfast and the after party on site was priceless. I cannot recommend Olde Mill Inn enough. It was the best decision we made in wedding planning—they were so great to work with, even during the pandemic, and it was our absolute dream wedding day.Thank you Olde Mill from the bottom of my heart for everything you did to make our day so special. Do not hesitate on this one of kind, beautiful venue.
