Our wedding at the Omni Homestead was everything I dreamed my wedding would be since being a little girl! Everything from the service, the cuisine, and the ambiance was perfect for my vision of a Southern Elegant Wedding. Cali and Rachel with the Homestead staff were amazing through the booking process and organization the day of the wedding. This venue provided everything I could ever have wanted in a wedding venue. If you are able to book your wedding at the Homestead, I say go for it! You will not be disappointed. Reviewed on 27-12-2017

Haleigh K(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 01-10-2016 The weekend was AMAZING and we LOVED having our wedding here, but nothing here comes without an escalated price. We had 140 guests, mostly in 20s-30s and out parents and their close friends and family. We had our rehearsal dinner with all our guests at Garth Newel Music Hall 4 miles down the road and also did a Farewell Brunch on Sunday at The Homestead.Cons:We had a difficulty getting to an agreed room rate and we could only add to the room block once – be aware of this. The staff also charges to give out Welcome Bags at the front desk, which I thought was ridiculous. Additional guests per room were $25/ea and parking $10/day was not waived; I have worked in a high-end resort before and would always waive parking. Also, 23% resort fee and 9% tax on EVERYTHING; including the down payment for the ballroom (which does not go toward Food & Bev) making an upwards payment of a few thousand dollars more than you were expecting. We were a rowdy group but several people told me the bartenders at the weddings were mutes, didn’t give options or suggestions just pointed to what they had. The bar at the reception also ran out of vodka, which is ridiculous for what we paid. My parents only drink beer and by the end of the evening they were out of beer, no refunds or compensation of any sort. After the reception, The Jefferson Bar refused to play music at the bar, which I did not understand. We brought our sound system down and they didn’t make us turn it off which was nice. We went to our suite when the bar closed around 1AM. I understand it was really late and we were loud but the security guard threatened to evict us and call the sheriff. I know there were other guests staying nearby but it just put a huge damper on the end of an awesome night the way the guards went about it. The best man tried to diffuse the guards aggressive attitude telling him, \"there is a way to go about this and there is a way not to, please let me handle it\" and the guard was a huge ass (for lack of better words). I know we were loud, but it was our wedding night! Pros:TAYLOR UNDERWOOD, WEDDING COORDINATOR WAS AMAZING. Taylor took care of vendor recommendations, all the details, and I had A LOT of details. She went above and beyond to make sure our night was perfect. I mean this girl would get back to my emails ASAP, gave us a room to make welcome bags in, comped wine and cheese the arrival night, held a ton of decorations for us, listened to every detail and set it up EXACTLY how I wanted. I truly cannot say enough amazing things about Taylor. For example, at one point someone spilt a drink and SHE rushed over and cleaned it up in 5 seconds, hello where is the janitor??The Homestead takes care of everything onsite; linens, rooms, catering, setup, cleanup, coordinator which is SUPER HELPFUL. I have other friends who are brides having weddings at vineyards and halls where they had to bring in so many more vendors than I did. It was a more expensive weekend for our guests but they LOVED it. I had so many people tell me it was one of the best weddings they had been to and how much they enjoyed their weekend and the resort. Despite all the cons I would do it all over at The Homestead. The resort is beautiful and overall the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Reviewed on 26-10-2016
Meredith Gersbach(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 13-08-2016 Such an amazing venue! We have so many wonderful things to say about our wedding this past August and to start, I would say that the service at the Homestead is unmatched. Throughout our year of planning, right through the wedding day itself, they answered all of our questions and gladly accommodated nearly everything that we requested. Taylor Underwood, one of the event coordinators at the Homestead, is absolutely fantastic. She took care of 99% of our planning and guided us through the entire process from across the country (we live in Colorado). We couldn't have asked for a better person to help us with this, she's wonderful! Secondly, the food is awesome, we (and many of our guests have told us since) thought it was some of the best food we have had at a wedding. We looked at some venues with cheaper options but, if its possible for your budget, don't be scared of the price tag. Its completely worth it. Lastly, for just all around feel, this venue is gorgeous, elegant (but completely laid back) and a place that our friends and family will return to for years. When we look back at our wedding, we can't think of a single thing that we would have changed, it was perfect. Reviewed on 07-09-2016
Angela Steele(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 30-08-2014 From my first visit to The Homestead, I knew this was the place I was going to get married at. The venue itself is stunning, but you can just go and visit so why get married there? \rSimple, you will have an elegant, fairy tale wedding. It's not cheap, but you pay for what you get. The wedding planner, Gail, was simply amazing. On the day, everyone commented that they were surprised I was so relaxed. So was I, as that is not my personality. But Gail and her team took care of everything and the day was perfect, so I had nothing to worry about. Reviewed on 25-09-2014
Kylene Condrey(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 25-05-2014 We were lucky enough to find a GroupOn for half off a few weeks before our wedding (we didn't think we'd be able to afford a honeymoon after the wedding) so we went for it and drove up the day after our wedding for 3 wonderful nights! The atmosphere was beautiful, the spa is fabulous, the food is delicious, and the fly fishing was so much fun!! We truly had a magical time :) Reviewed on 16-06-2014

Rikki Amos(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 25-09-2010 I can't say enough about The Homestead. The property is beautiful, the staff bends over backwards, and the reception hall (crystal ballroom) was perfect. We wanted a place where our families from all over could bond. The Homestead was perfect for that. Being in the mountains makes for a little effort to get there for guests but it is 100% worth it. Reviewed on 20-11-2010
