In early 2023, Thorncreek Winery was purchased and re-branded as The Orchid House Winery. The Orchid House Winery is operated by Tap Root Hospitality Group, which also owns and operates Sapphire Creek Winery & Gardens in Chagrin Falls, Ohio.

Absolutely unreal! From the moment we saw the venue for the first time, we knew that Orchid House was where we had to get married! Not only is the entire venue absolutely stunning, that wasn't even the best part. Maria and the Orchid House team were hands down the most professional, personable, caring and helpful people we have ever worked with! We definitely had a vision for our wedding and Maria made all those dreams come true and then some! I feel so lucky to have worked with her and I HIGHLY recommend any future bride and grooms to book the Orchid House as their venue! Impossible to be disappointed in any way!! Is it too soon to do it again?!

Maria and the Orchid House team were hands down the most professional, personable, caring and helpful people we have ever worked with! We definitely had a vision for our wedding and Maria made all those dreams come true and then some! Where do I even begin???? My husband and I began our wedding planning process with discussion about venues. We had been to so many weddings already and wanted a venue that would be memorable and unique. We both really became wine lovers over the year prior and thought it might be cool to have our reception at a winery! We looked into a couple in the area and beganour tours. When we stepped foot in Orchid House Winery, formerly ThornCreek, I kept looking at Branden saying “OH MY GOSH THIS PLACE IS BEAUTIFUL.” We were grinning from ear to ear during our whole first visit. It was one of those “when you know, you know” moments. We toured one other place andimmediately knew we were going to pick ThornCreek. The charm, the layout, the stunning gardens, the staff, the reception area, the renovations, it truly was a dream location.We of course went through a lot of change with the ownership transition from ThornCreek to Orchid House. Once we got paired with Maria, she made everything so smooth and I absolutely loved her straight-forward and honestapproach. She made everything super clear on what changes were happening and what options we had. We ended up switching over to the Orchid House package and I’m SO GLAD we did! The drink selection was amazing, everyoneloved the new Orchid House wines, especially the slushies! Maria felt like a friend in the process and was willing to meet us and work with us on short notice. She also set everything up perfectly just as we requested. The venue was memorablefor everyone. I cannot wait to go to Orchid House Winery on our anniversary every year to relive that day. It’s so nice that we can just go there for dinner every now and then too! We absolutely love this place and all the people that work there. Thank you a million times over to everyone at Orchid House!

When we booked our venue in May of 2022 they were still Thorncreek Winery. Once we got the news that they were purchased I was a little nervous for how everything was going to go. Maria and her team were absolutely wonderful. They made sure that the transition went as smooth as possible and that everything I was promised originally was upheld. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect and I can't think of one negative thing to say about any of the staff at Orchid House. I highly recommend them for any event!

We had our wedding here a few weeks ago 9/9/2023 and it was the best day ever. The venue is gorgeous and the staff is amazing. We booked it a year prior in September of 2022 when it was still thorncreek. New ownership took over at the beginning of 2023 and they were wonderful. Everything from our original contract was upheld and we had no issues with this transition. Maria is great! Very responsive and helpful. The day of our wedding went smoothly, no issues at all from start to finish. Maria and the other staff really want you to enjoy your day and not be stressed out, they know what they are doing so trust that everything will be taken care of. We arrived to the beautiful bridal suite with champagne ready for us. The guys also had a nice area and assortment of brews to hangout and relax before the ceremony. Throughout the night multiple staff members came up to me and my husband making sure we had everything we needed. The venue and gardens are in beautiful condition you really don’t need many decorations the place itself is so pretty, the only decor we had were flowers and a welcome sign and that’s really all you need! 10/10 would recommended orchid house winery for your wedding day. If you’re in the area go check it out in person you’ll fall in love with its beauty and be in good hands with the staff there.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about our wedding at Orchid House. Our day was purely magic thanks to the stunning gardens, outstanding service, and the close relationship I felt with Maria, the Wedding Manager. I felt cared for and my day felt like it was special for a team that had already done two weddings in that weekend. Did I mention the gardens?! Our guests had nothing but extremely positive things to say about their experiences and I am excited to see the continued improvements the team makes to the space after the ownership changes in the last year!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about our wedding at Orchid House. Our day was purely magic thanks to the stunning gardens, outstanding service, and the close relationship I felt with Maria, the Wedding Manager. I felt cared for and my day felt like it was special for a team that had already done two weddings in that weekend. Did I mention the gardens?! Our guests had nothing but extremely positive things to say about their experiences and I am excited to see the continued improvements the team makes to the space after the ownership changes in the last year!

When my husband and I booked Orchid House for our wedding venue, it was still ThornCreek. While we were worried about what the transition would be like, Julianna and Maria helped navigate us through. Orchid House honored our contract from ThornCreek and did everything in their power to make our wedding day the magical day that it was. We are immensely thankful for Maria! She was so much more than an amazing Wedding Coordinator. She truly felt like a friend throughout the whole process! On top of the hard work that Maria did for us, the Orchid House workers were amazing. They were kind, diligent, and there for anything we needed. The price that you pay for the venue thoroughly justifies the service and attention to detail that you recieve! Orchid House Winery could not have been a more beautiful venue to have our wedding at. From the manicured, beautiful grounds and gardens, to the style and design of the winery, the elegance was exactly what we dreamed of for our wedding. My favorite part continues to be the garden pathway that leads into the tent that's lit by twinkle lights. Our guests were in awe of the venue's beauty. We continue to be told (over a month later) that it was the prettiest venue many had ever been to. I may be biased, but I thoroughly agree. I truly feel blessed to have been able to have my wedding here, and cannot wait to enjoy our to come!

The Orchid House Winery was the perfect venue for our September wedding. We had first booked with the venue before the transition to The Orchid House Winery and it was a blessing to have been able to have worked with the new staff. Maria the wedding coordinator is so professional and personable at the same time. She makes the day and the days leading up to the wedding run so smoothly that I didn’t have to worry about anything. The staff are wonderful and attentive. We loved the atmosphere of the entire venue. It is beautiful during the day, evening, and night.

The Orchid House Winery was the perfect venue for our September wedding. We had first booked with the venue before the transition to The Orchid House Winery and it was a blessing to have been able to have worked with the new staff. Maria the wedding coordinator is so professional and personable at the same time. She makes the day and the days leading up to the wedding run so smoothly that I didn’t have to worry about anything. The staff are wonderful and attentive. We loved the atmosphere of the entire venue. It is beautiful during the day, evening, and night.

Orchid House was the PERFECT VENUE for our August wedding day. My husband and I had dreamed of a venue that had indoor and outdoor space, that was full of light, and whose natural beauty would elevate the joy of our wedding. Upon touring the venue, we knew immediately that Orchid House would be right for us. We had a 250-person wedding, which required an additional auxiliary tent, and the venue switched ownership in the middle of our planning process. Despite this transition, everyone at Orchid House was consistent in their communication and their willingness to accommodate all of our requests. We used every inch of space for our wedding day; the new bridal suite in the front was utilized for a Jewish tisch ceremony, the main ballroom was utilized for a Catholic service, the tent immediately to the right outside was used for cocktail hour, and the other two tents fit all of our guests PLUS a Klezmer band AND dueling pianos! Even with a large group, OHW felt like an intimate space. We had so many guests marvel that this was the most beautiful venue they had ever seen. The outdoor area is stunning for photos, especially in the afternoon and early evening. We had our ceremony facing the trees (away from the winery itself) and our chairs were arranged in a beautiful semicircle so that all of our guests felt like they had a good view of the ceremony. We NEED to brag about the staff! Working with Emily from Taste of Excellence and Maria from Orchid House was a joy! Out of nowhere, we experienced not one but TWO torrential downpours /thunderstorms during our wedding day. One such storm erupted right as guests started to arrive, and Maria, Emily, and their teams worked with our planner to flip the order of the day. Cocktail hour was split before and after the ceremony (during which there was a brief spot of sunshine) and everyone loved the casual atmosphere that a double cocktail hour provided. The rain came back with a vengeance once all of our guests were in the reception tent, but Maria and her team lept into action to pull down the walls of the tent to keep our guests dry! Their team was also incredibly accommodating for newborns and nursing moms, handicap accessibility, and different dietary restrictions. We loved getting married at Orchid House and cannot recommend it highly enough! (PSA: Enjoy the wine slushies before they run out!)

Maria and Danielle at Orchid House Winery helped make our wedding dreams come true! They were both extremely easy to work with and very accommodating of our needs and wants. Throughout the planning process they both met with us to answer our questions so that the day ran extremely smooth, which it did! During the day, they made sure to always check in on us and make sure we weren’t worrying about a thing. We truly appreciated this and felt at ease that we didn’t have to worry about a thing during the day! Orchid House as a venue is extremely beautiful. The grounds are taken care of extremely well and everything is so neat and tidy. Our guests couldn’t believe that this venue was in Cleveland, Ohio as you truly felt you were somewhere magical. The entire day felt like a dream and we were so glad we chose Orchid House as the backdrop for the best day of our lives!

Throughout the planning process they both met with us to answer our questions so that the day ran extremely smooth, which it did! During the day, they made sure to always check in on us and make sure we weren’t worrying about a thing. We truly appreciated this and felt at ease that we didn’t have to worry about a thing during the day! Orchid House as a venue is extremely beautiful. The grounds are taken care of extremely well and everything is so neat and tidy. Our guests couldn’t believe that this venue was in Cleveland, Ohio as you truly felt you were somewhere magical. I couldn’t recommend The Orchid House, or our Wedding Manager, Maria, more! Having our wedding celebration at this venue was a dream come true. It’s truly feels like a magical garden somehow tucked into a serene corner of Aurora, OH. The winery itself is a first class experience in every sense of the phrase. From the unbelievable food, to the amazing wine, to the gorgeous decor. It is classic, chic, and modern. We spent months meeting with Orchid House’s staff planning every detail of our day (admittedly not knowing much about the planning process). Maria guided us with expertise and genuine care throughout every step of the way. She was professional, thoughtful, and detailed oriented until the very end of the wedding evening. She went above and beyond to not only accommodate every ask but offer help in any way possible putting everyone’s mind at ease. The venue’s assisting staff that made the entire day a success couldn’t have been more gracious and supportive. My guests have yet to stop raving about every aspect of the day. We are so grateful and will be regularly returning to Orchid House for dinner (and saying hi to Maria).

I cannot recommend this venue enough, and neither can my guests! It’s impeccably maintained from the landscaping to each and every fixture. Maria was a total professional who made the process so easy. We had 180 guests and yet there wasn’t a single notable line for the bar, everyone received their food quickly, and it was just seamless from start to finish. This venue was a dream and one of the best decisions we made for our wedding.

On our wedding day of June 3rd, we were completely blown away by the attention to detail, and they truly transformed the tasting room to match our vision. The wedding coordinator, Maria, was so incredibly sweet, kind, and organized. She handled everything in a professional manner and was transparent throughout the process. We cannot thank Maria and the rest of the staff enough for their hard work. Our guests had nothing but wonderful things to say about the venue and how the event went!
