The Parklands of Floyds Fork is a donor-supported park system in Louisville, Kentucky offering 2 venues to couples hosting their special day. The Parks offers a charming combination of beautiful outdoor areas and stunning indoor spaces. The dedicated team prides themselves on providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The Parklands of Floyds Fork caters to large and small weddings. There are both indoor /outdoor ceremony options, along with reception options, at both locations available for weddings. Beckley Creek Park offers The Gheens Foundation Lodge. The lodge can accommodate 25 to 300 guests including terrace, event/ceremony lawn, UPS Great Room and Parklands Room. With floor to ceiling windows you can always bring the outside in, no matter the weather. Turkey Run Park offers the Hockensmith Barn, which provides a large rustic indoor area that can seat up to 225 guests. It features exposed support and overhead wooden beams, while having a simple elegant charm. Private event/ceremony lawn is also included. The Barn is a seasonal rental and not temperature controlled. The experienced team at the Parklands of Floyds Fork offers a range of packages and services that you can customize to meet your needs. This is such a beautiful space and the staff was very accommodating! Perfect if you love the outdoors and it would be beautiful rain or shine as they have floor to ceiling windows in the Great Room (which we used for our reception). They do require you to use their food/beverage vendors (a list of about 8 companies), but the catering company we used through them was amazing.

We are so happy we had our wedding reception at Gheens Foundation Lodge! It was a beautiful venue and everyone we worked with was so organized, flexible, and helpful in planning our event. There was lots of space both indoors and outdoors for our guests to have fun!

This venue was perfect for our wedding! We had Alyssa as our venue coordinator and she was literally the best to work with. Unfortunately, she is moving on to a new job, so our actual venue coordinator day of was Beth who also did an amazing job! We got so many compliments on the venue space and we had our ceremony outside and our reception inside but people also still had access to outside as well. Navigating planning a wedding through covid was horrendous, but Alyssa was literally a saving grace. They were very easy to work with and I have zero regrets having my wedding here.

We absolutely loved this venue! We had to make a last minute decision to move inside because it was cooler and rainy. Everything looked absolutely beautiful and they were able to accommodate our needs even though it was during Covid. Beth was excellent to work with and made everything move smoothly.

We absolutely loved the Gheens Foundation Lodge in the Parklands. We originally had both our ceremony and reception scheduled at Hockensmith Barn, but unfortunately we had to completely change our wedding plans due to the pandemic. My husband and I got married here in June at Gheen’s Foundation Lodge. Our venue was absolutely beautiful with floor to ceiling windows and incredible natural views. For the price you will pay here, you won’t find anywhere with more natural beauty or space anywhere near the Louisville area! Not to mention, the staff at Gheens was AMAZING and was there to help us every step of the way! Not only did they help us figure out the setup for our big day, they also connected us with vendors, helped us with setup on the day of, and were on hand until the end of the wedding to help out. A big shout out to Toni Woodard, who was so sweet and so great at communicating with us and answering any and all questions we had. Overall, this is just an incredible venue and I have absolutely zero complaints. Would definitely recommend to any bride out there!

My wedding was May 25th and this venue was amazing. Shout out to Toni & Alyssa for answering all of my questions, making the perfect suggestions, and allowing my crazy family to take over for the day. You all were truly amazing! Everyone was able to find the place, and even though the splash pad was open they had someone closed off the parking lot and allowed ample amounts of spots for all of my guests. There is so much space in the venue I don't believe anyone every felt crowded, and all of my vendors were able to pile in, set up, and get the job done without having to step over anyone else. If you are wanting a venue that allows you the freedom of ceremony & reception in the same area, and a great back up plan for rainy days, I highly suggest this place right here!

The space was so beautiful and the floor to ceiling windows are completely breathtaking! The space offers a couple of different outside options as well, from the patio overlooking the creek to the large yard with a silo in the back. I would highly recommend this space for larger wedding parties (it can accommodate up to 300).

With the large windows and beautiful landscaping and trees in the background means very few decorations are needed. I got married in October and it was PERFECT. I could not have picked a better venue. They are very helpful with the layout, having a plan B (for rain if you're getting married outside), and ensuring vendors are all set. The place was clean and ready to go when we came. I cannot express enough how awesome this place is! The bridal suite has tons of mirrors and plugs and can be locked when you leave the room. The staff is just amazing. You guys have got this down to a T!

My wife and I had our wedding and reception at Gheens lodge in 07/2016. The venue is so breathtakingly beautiful. When we first looked at the venue, we knew right away that we wanted to get married there. We love nature and the floor to ceiling windows around most of the room have such beautiful views. It was amazing to have an inside wedding that felt like we were in the middle of nature but not be outside sweating in July. Everyone is so friendly and helpful, especially Toni. She has such a pleasant, friendly, and calm demeanor. Toni was great to work with. She answered all of our questions patiently; which I tend to ask a lot of questions so it was great. Toni also worked with my mom and my mom was so happy that planning, paying, etc. was easy and straightforward. We also got married on a late Friday morning and got an awesome deal for the venue. It wasn't too expensive if you rent the whole facility on a weekend, but using just the Great Room / UPS Room on a weekday really saved us money.We came across the venue just through looking on the internet. Even though the venue isn't one of the first listed and doesn't have many (any?) picture on here, this is a venue that you don't want to miss. It's so beautiful, affordable, and they are friendly. If you're not sure, at least go visit. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Gheens was the first reception venue we looked at and we stopped our search after that visit. The floor to ceiling windows overlooking Floyd's Fork are breathtaking and really make it feel like you are outside while still providing the comfort of knowing your event won't be compromised by the weather. The space was great for our 175-person reception with a good size dance floor and stage for our band. The cocktail room was perfect for our cocktail hour and they were able to play our slideshow on the projector screen for us throughout our event. The atmosphere was perfect for our wedding reception - We definitely recommend if you are looking for a rustic feel without the worry of an outdoor reception! The park also provided plenty of photo opportunities for our wedding party.

The cocktail room was perfect for our cocktail hour and they were able to play our slideshow on the projector screen for us throughout our event. The atmosphere was perfect for our wedding reception - We definitely recommend if you are looking for a rustic feel without the worry of an outdoor reception! The park also provided plenty of photo opportunities for our wedding party.

As soon as I walked into the Lodge, I could see myself getting married there. More than the beautiful setting and fabulous new building, Sam and Tracy are wonderful people to work with. They went above and beyond what I would have ever expected them to do to help with my wedding. They were so flexible and so eager to share in my joy. \rThe UPS Great Room is mostly made up of windows looking out over the park and a creek so it felt like we were outside (which had been my intention). I would not have gotten married anywhere else!

Sam is the location coordinator and is excellent to work with. He has a lot of great suggestions for other vendors and is very helpful. Couldn't have picked a better place for my wedding!
